Northeast wisconsinight's are feeling the effects of the federal government shutdown.
Ash Gosh area United Way CEO Beth Oswald says there
has been an increase in calls for their services.

and we have gotten more calls specific to Hey, I'm
afraid I'm not getting my paycheck. What do I do?

The United Way provides a variety of resources to those
in need. The shutdown is in its fourth week. Two
Northeast Wisconsin counties are seeing something of a building boom.
Permits for new home construction in Calumet and Door Counties
were up seventy five percent in the third quarter of
the year compared to the same three months of twenty
twenty four. Those are four and fifth highest in the state,

according to the Wisconsin Builders Association. Aligambye County also saw
double digit increases in new home construction permits in the
third quarter. In Appleton, woman is killed in a hit
and run crash in New Orleans. Adasia Carraway was walking
on a bridge long Interstate ten at about two thirty
am on October twenty first, when she was struck by
two vehicles. The second car stopped the first vehicle took off.

Carraway was in New Orleans to attend a concert for
her twenty seventh birthday. An investigation into that incident continues.
Criminal charges are filed in connection with a fatal Autigaming
County crash last year. Colleen Greschel is facing one count
of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. Gretchel lugedly
ran a stop signed along County Highway double Eye at
a high rate of speed and struck a motorcycle back

in October of last year. The fifty one year old
the Nation man operating the motorcycle was killed. Gretchel faces
up to ten years in prison if convicted. One person
is dead, another is heard following a crash in Wapack Accounting.
The Sheriff's office says a vehicle left Southwood Drive in
the township of Lynd and struck a tree around eight
forty five Friday night. The driver and their passenger were

taken to FATA Care Regional Medical Center, Nina. The Sheriff's
office was notified on Tuesday that the driver died from
their injuries. The passenger's condition is unknown. The cause of
the crash is under investigation. The Door County Sheriff's Office
releases the name of an Algoba man killed in an
explosion over the weekend. Sean Morcor died after a three
thousand gallon water tank blew up while water lines were

being flushed at the Harbor Village Resort and Campground in
a Harbor Saturday morning. Mark Word was found outside of
a building that was seriously damaged by the blast. Autopsy
results are pending. Wisconsinnight to get health insurance through the
Affordable Care Act, maybe paying a lot more. In twenty

at the end of the year if Congress fails to

cost of health care as it is already, but seeing
that how much it's going to increase is really scary.

According to numbers from the state Office of the Commissioner
of Insurance, a family of four in Brown County could
be paying roughly eleven hundred dollars more per month for
their premium if the subsidies aren't extended. A new credit
transfer agreement will allow students of Criminal Justice and Business
at Fox Valley Technical College to continue their educations at
UW Green Bay. Credits attained at FBTC will fully transfer

to similar programs at EDBGB. In both programs that will
go into effect in twenty twenty six, drivers will have
to deal with lane closures on the Raynichki Bridge in
downtown Green Bay the next couple of weeks. Crews will
be doing maintenance work on the drawbridge today through November tenth.
There will be single lank closures in both directions of
Main Street during that time. The bridge will also not
