continues to struggle with chronic absenteeism at its high schools.
After a slight dip in the twenty twenty three to
twenty four school year, the absentee rate at the three
high schools has gone back above twenty five percent for

the first semester of this year. Superintendent Greg Hart Just
says that is why he continues to press the City
of Appleton to restore h trugency ordinance.

the sexual assault of a seventeen year old boy at

evidence to try Gary Day on charges of child debduction
and child enticement. Day, who is the father of the
girl's child, is accused of picking her up from her
home in February. During Thursday's preliminary hearing, beaver Damn Police
detective Daniel Kootz was asked by a state attorney whether Day,
who was on probation for another offense, was authorized to

mother at any point give a consent to the defendant

Evers is looking to bring the program to more than
ninety five thousand low income residents via his proposed state budget.

attempted medicaid expansion. A June twenty fifth trial data set
for a Green Bay man accused of providing drugs to
an overdose victim. DeMarcus Hicks, is charged in Brown County
Court with first degree reckless homicide, maintaining a drug trafficking place,
and possession of narcotics all as a defender. Hicks allegedly
sold drugs to a twenty five year old woman found

dead in a Baston Street home back in May of
last year. He faces up to ninety years in prison
if convicted. Mile of Music releases it's first fifty artists
for this year's festival in downtown Appleton. Founder Dave Williams
Hope's additional publicity from a documentary could boost attendance over
one hundred thousand this year.
