And I'm Terry Kavarik. An Appleton woman is killed in
a hit and run crash in New Orleans. Dasia Carroway
was walking on a bridge along Interstate ten at about
two thirty am in October twenty first when she was
struck by two vehicles. The second car stopped the first
vehicle took off. Carroway was in New Orleans to attend
a concert for a twenty seventh birthday, and investigation into

Northeast wisconsinates are feeling the effects of the federal government shutdown.
Oshcosh Area United Way CEO Beth Oswald says they've seen
an increase in calls for service.

more calls specific to Hey, I'm afraid I'm not getting
my paycheck. What do I do?

Criminal charges are followed. In connection with the fatal Autigamy
County crash last year, Colleen Greschel is facing one kind
of homicide by negligent operation of a vehicle. Greschel allegedly
ran a stop Signlong County Highway double eye at a
high rate of speed and struck a motorcycle back in
October of twenty twenty four. The fifty one year old
nation man operating the motorcycle was killed. Gretchel faces up

to ten years in prison if convicted.

Suspended green Bay East High School football coach Nico Sila
will meet with school district leaders later this week. Our
TV partner Action To News reports Seala was providing transportation
for some football players in his private vehicle. The district
is also looking into text messages he sent to players
since his suspension started. He's been on paid administrative leave

for nearly three weeks.

The Green Bay Area Public School Board approves its twenty
twenty six budget. The package includes a three point five
million dollar deficit, which Chief financial Officer Angie Robel says
will be made up by dipping into reserve funds.

We have a strong fund balance, but what you don't
want to do right is its one time money. So
to cover right, We're going to cover this deficit with
fun balance, but it's a one time fix.

The MIL rate in the Green Bay School District will
decline next year by twenty seven cents per thousand of
assessed value.

Two northeast Wisconsin counties are seeing something of a building boom.
Permits for new home construction and Caliummetendor County were up
seventy five percent in the third quarter of the year
compared to the same three months of twenty twenty four,
Those are fourth and fifth highest in the state, according
to the Wisconsin Builders Association. Aldigabee County also saw double

A new credit transfer agreement will allow students of Criminal
Justice and Business at Fox Valley Technical College to continue
their educations at uw green Bay. Credits attained at FBTC
will fully transfer to similar programs at UWGB in both
programs that will go into effect in twenty twenty six.

And the Green Bay Gas Station is developing a reputation
for selling winning lottery tickets. A powerball ticket worth fifty
thousand dollars was sold at the Quick Trip along shaan
Oh Avenue for last Saturday's drawing. It's the second time
in the last couple of years that particular convenience store
sold a powerball ticket worth that amount. The winner has
six months to claim that prize.
