Whatever your leanings, we should celebrate the end of Late Night with Colbert...it might mean late night comedians will stop being mouth pieces for political parties.

Also, has Trump been playing '4D Chess' on the whole Epstein mess? Probably not, but a huge win for everybdy calling for transparency.

And the affair couple outed by the kiss cam at the Coldplay concert just made things worse for themselves...with his statement.

Speaker 1 (00:04):
These are the days. These are the days why I
will never stop doing this talking about current events, because
days like this make everything worth it, all of it.
I can't I can't even handle all the winning. Are
you telling me that NPR and Colbert are canceled in
one week's time? Actually with him like three official days?

(00:25):
This is so good? And I know you know. The
common saying is you shouldn't celebrate anybody else's demise. No no, no,
with them, with them, you should. You should not only
celebrate it, you should feel great about it because of
Colbert and NPR's crimes against broadcasting, who outlined everything about
NPR yesterday and they're officially gonna be gone, cut funding

(00:47):
and all that crap soon. And now Stephen Colbert, single
handedly the representative of the end of late night comedy
now is being canceled himself. This is this is so good.
This is so good, feel bad, this is greatness. Of course,
we're going to talk about the cold Play affair couple.
I'm no expert on affairs, thank god, but I will

(01:08):
tell you this, this is exactly how you don't handle this.
With the quote unquote apology letter that this dude wrote,
nobody in our country had a worse week than this guy.
And here's the question that's out there. I don't think
the answer is yes, but it's a legit question. All
of it is. Has Trump been playing for d chess?
You see that expression all the time now for D

(01:31):
chess on the Epstein thing. No, I don't think so.
But there's still a massive potential win for not only
him maybe, but the Trump base if you want to
call it that. Because and this all goes back to
that whole narrative that got busted last week, where have
you support Trump? You're in a cult? No, I don't

(01:52):
think so, because at the end of this, and if
you want to believe the polls, they're burying this out.
It's coming together and making it stronger and a better
win for them. All Right, we'll talk about all that stuff.
Let's get right to it. First of all, Welcome to Friday.
What a week we deserve, a week like this, a
day like this after a week like this with all
this crazy news, and so much of it has been

(02:13):
surrounded by that the swamp stuff and political stuff and
blah blah blah. All right, here's what I do. I
break it down and what does it mean to you
and me and everybody else. Right, that's what we do here.
And if you're watching or listening to the live stream
later on, thanks for the followers, appreciate it. Put your
notifications on audio podcasts coming up soon as well. Let's
get to before we get to the other stuff, just
let me celebrate a win here. Let's all celebrate a win,

(02:34):
and it might mean the return of comedy. Here's what
I mean. I didn't watch this live because I refuse
to watch it, but the news broke as soon as
you see.

Speaker 2 (02:44):
Before we start the show, I want to let you
know something that I found out just last night. Yes,
next year will be our last season. The network will
be ending the Late Show in May.

Speaker 1 (02:55):
And yes Stephen Colbert announcing that now. First of all,
something to pick up before I forget to mention it.
Do notice how the I'm using finger quotes audio listeners.
The audience was already not There wasn't a shock like,
there was already a prepared The timing was a little

(03:16):
off a prepared nob like that. That means you know
who was in the audience, staffers, people who already knew
CBS people, whatever. It was fake from beginning to end
with this show. They knew it was coming and it's over.
Here's why I'm celebrating, because do you remember if your

(03:36):
gen X like me and you grew up mostly in
the eighties, and you remember Late night comedy on what
it was Leno, Letterman, Carson before that, and how great
it was, And they were great. They weren't beholden to anybody,
as far as we know. They weren't, you know, towing
the line for any political party, right, that's the opposite

(03:57):
of comedy. They used to take shots at everybody. This
guy was from start to finish, just a stooge, bought
and paid for by the Democrats. And I'm telling you,
like I always tell you, I would hate it just
as much if we had a late night comedian who
was bought and paid for by the Republicans. Hate it.

(04:19):
That's not what it's about. Comedians are supposed to keep
us honest. And I think that's the trend where this
is all going. If that guy is going away. Another hint,
how about the other night Murs playing some of that
sound from Shane Gillis hosting the SP's the ESPN Sports Awards,
which was on ABC, and they let him have carte

(04:40):
blanche do whatever he wanted. He offended a bunch of people.
Blah blah blah. That's another good sign. If comedy is back, everybody,
if real comedy is back where they're not afraid to
take shots at people and hold public figures accountable. All
this is such good news. This is such good news.
And yeah, okay, whatever. I wouldn't worry about Stephen Colbert
anytime soon. But it's a sign that things are getting better.

(05:03):
It's a great, great sign that we're all healing. It's fantastic.
And here's another little piece of irony. You didn't hear
it there, but in the taping where he did that
show where he made the announcement, you know who his
guest was. Here's proof an example of everything I'm talking about.
Adam Schiff. That's right, that's right, Adam Schiff, the California politician.

(05:27):
Because Colbert only had on Democratic politicians. And you remember
this famous Colbert skit during COVID when he was bought
and paid for by the Democrats and also Big Pharma
where he had the dancing needles. Probably the honest to god,
it's been called the low point in late night comedy.
That might have been the end of that era right

(05:47):
then where he actually had it promoting people. He was
one of the people telling you that you're anti American
if you don't get the vacs, if you make your
own personal health decision. That's why you gotta celebrate. This
is a This is a huge cultural thing that that
guy's going away, because it's only just the beginning. All
the signs are there. It's all there. Read the tea leaves.

(06:07):
We're getting back to being what we were. Honest, it's starting.
It's gonna take a long time to want to do
all that crap like him having a late night show,
but it's getting there. Don't feel bad, my god, Shane
Gillis on ABC, Primetime, NPR getting canceled and Stephen Colbert

(06:28):
going away. This is this is so good. All right,
let's get to the big story that everybody's talking about.
I don't care. I'm gonna tell you right at the outset.
I don't care about the politics of it. I don't care.
I don't care if this is a win for Trump.
I don't care if this is a win for the
Democrats who hate him. I don't care if this is
a win for the Rhino. I don't care. All I

(06:49):
care about are wins for us, the American people, the
common man and woman. What does it mean for all
of us with the whole Epstein thing? Okay, well, tuh boy.
I think it was Monday we were playing this. I
think it was Bennie Johnson, the podcaster. Now Benny is
one of the you know Trump everything Trump does is
great kind of guy. But he also called for transparency,

(07:12):
and that was a good thing to see. This is
what I'm getting it. So the Trump base, if you
want to call it that, the honest ones, we're calling
for transparency, saying, well, you're handling this really badly, but
it's not going to knock me off the Trump train.
There have been too many wins to do that, right.
The honest people were telling you that had that exact
same mindset. Do you remember On Monday he played a
little audio from Laura Trump who was talking to Benny Johnson,

(07:34):
who said she thinks all of this stuff is coming.
They're working on this right now, and in fact, this
is what she's said. Amazing how that's all gone.

Speaker 3 (07:43):
So I don't know that this was top a line
for him, but he hears all the noise, and he
hears all of the consternation out there, and I think
he's gonna want to set things right as well. So
I believe that there will probably.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
Be more coming on this, and I.

Speaker 3 (07:56):
Believe anything that they are able to release that doesn't
you know, Emma, Jinny witnesses or anyone under age or
anything like that, I'm relie no, probably trying to get
out sooner rather than like everything.

Speaker 1 (08:07):
Now, before we get to the post from Trump last
night on truth Social which made all the news, which
really is the top story in the country today because
of what's supposed to be released, what's not going to
be released, whatever, What does it mean to you and
me and everybody else. This is what it means anybody
throughout this whole messy, disgusting saga, right which has plagued
us for well technically years, but really top of mind

(08:28):
for everybody for like two three weeks. What does it
mean for all of us? Here's what it means. People
who were honest with you, who had the right view
on this, common sense view on it was man. He
handled this badly, the whole damn thing. But you know,
it's not the most important issue in the world. Anybody
who said that was being completely honest with you, and
those are the people you should listen to. Well, here

(08:50):
we go now, this calling for transparency. This is why
it was okay the entire time to say listen, big guy,
team men, show your work. Okay, just show what you
have so you can put this thing to bed. I
said yesterday. He listens if there was any president who
was able to take this, read the tea leaves, read
the base and say, Okay, I can't believe people are

(09:12):
so worked up on this, but okay, we'll do it.
And that's exactly what he said in this post, which read,
based on the ridiculous amount of publicity, give it to
Jeffrey Epstein that asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce
any pertinent grand jury testimony subject to court approval. And
he goes on to say, in you know, his opinion,
to get his shots in there. This scam perpetuated by

(09:32):
the Democrat should end and end right now. Pam Bondi
takes that and says, President Trump, we're ready to move
the court tomorrow to unseal the grand jury transcripts. This
is all anybody asked for. Anybody, this is all anybody
wanted was show your work and what you have. Now,
is anything gonna come from this that will answer everybody's
questions about what the whole thing was the whole gross Epstein?

(09:54):
Was he an Israeli asset? Was he a CIA asset?
Was it? I don't know. No. Probably, Here's what it
means for normal people like you and me. Here's what
it means. Transparency wins. This is all we wanted. They
are in it because of these questions. Everybody wasn't afraid
to ask. You know, somehow we forgot this concept that
two things can be true. You can support your favorite

(10:16):
president and also demand transparency because they bungled it. You know,
that's actually a concept. You can do that kind of thing.
You're not an enemy of MAGA. If you dare question
Trump on something, duh. The win for all of us
is exactly what he said last night or whatever, even
before whatever the hell they have gets revealed today. Now

(10:39):
you maybe watching or listening to this later on and
it's like we have some kind of earth shattering thing.
It changes the country and it blows up to see
I am I don't know. I have no idea that's
in the future. And sometime today. We're going to find
that later on. And like I said, if you're listening
to this later on, maybe you already know what's in it.
My guess is probably nothing. They probably have nothing. Wouldn't

(11:00):
it make sense that anything that was in there got
destroyed years ago? Doesn't that make sense? But what set
everybody off, just normal people, and why this became a
massive issue that will never go away ever because it
became mainstream, was that it looked like, after all the
talk they were telling us to forget about it. Well,

(11:20):
this isn't an apology, but this is again that phrase,
just show your work, just show what you have. That's
all anybody's asking for. That's all it is, that's all
anybody wants on this. Do you remember when they were
released and nothing was really in it, like it'll be
just like that. Do you remember the whole JFK thing
that they released a couple was that a couple of
months ago and there was nothing groundbreaking in there? But

(11:43):
nobody talks about that anymore. You know why? Because they
showed what they have and it looked pretty honest. They're like,
you know the effectively Pambondi going, well, these are the
files we had when we got into office. Here's what
we have. You look at it and decide, all right,
there's nothing wrong with it. That's all anybody's asking for
with this freakin' Epstein thing. And I know there's a

(12:04):
lot of calls, and it's like, see there's the other
people out there today. Somebody at work is going to
say this today. See he's been playing three four DJs
while everybody criticized him. See he's gonna come up with
this earth shattering thing. No, the win is, believe it
or not, not going to be in these files, whatever

(12:24):
the hell's there. I don't think anyway, unless it's something
earth shattering, the win is. This just made. And I'm
trying to be objective about this. This just made. If
you consider yourself in the Trump base, maga, whatever you
want to call it, this just made that entire movement
about a thousand times stronger. Why why is that bill?

(12:45):
Everybody's been fighting for three and a half weeks. Here's why.
And it goes back to something we discovered I think
last weekend. The whole narrative that oh, you're a Trump supporter,
you're in a cult, you don't question anything he does,
goes that because it's been constant questioning and bickering and
back forth, but back and forth. When this thing is

(13:06):
finally settled down and all the dust settles and the
silt goes to the bottom of the lake on this swamp,
everybody got stronger on this because now it's way more legitimate.
You don't have any kind of a legit fan base
or support group or people in your corner unless they're
willing to ask legitimate questions. And if he comes out

(13:28):
and says, this is what we got, here's what you
wanted here, whatever, it's not much in it. I told you, Yeah,
he wins. Sure, And the polls are already saying that
he hasn't lost much support. But regular people win. The
country wins because the questions were at and they at
least showed their work and what they have. That's huge,

(13:49):
absolutely huge. I don't think whatever win is in there
is going to be whatever the positive is is going
to be in these files that they release for Dchess. No,
it's gonna be that you have a president in there
that actually heard the base. He would surprised by it
and a little pissed off because he's like, what about
all the other good stuff I'm doing. But okay, you
want this here? That is massive. Don't forget about this.

(14:09):
We've never had it. We've never had it before. I mean,
maybe there was a president in maybe Reagan would have
if we had social media and enough people in the
general consciousness all ask him the same questions at once. Hey,
we were told you had some stuff, show it. Maybe
he would have responded to that. I don't know, but
Trump did. And now the president's been said, where if

(14:31):
enough people ask questions and the demand answers on something
or at least your best explanation on something, the people win.
I love it. No, Well, they learn their lesson. All
the underlings. I'll tell you what led to this. You
know what led to this. All his underlings, all of
these staff members, all this, everybody and his team wouldn't
shut the hell up, right, And that concludes a lot
of people. Pam Bondi, of course, Cash, Betel Bongino, all

(14:54):
more people than all of them, all in there as
soon as they got in. Oh, what you're gonna see
is amazing. It's good. I'm looking at it on my
desk right, Yeah, it's incredible. Oh, we're gonna reveal everything.
Oh we're gonna do. Shut the hell up, because the America.
All we want as Americans is show don't tell, show
us what you have. Stop talking so frickin' much. That's

(15:14):
what will they learn their lesson? I don't think so.
It's too many egos involved. There's no way to let now.
They probably won't. They'll still talk and still send people
down a rabbit sole. But this at least is a
really big start. Huge. Here's a speaking of huge. So
this is another fail where they tried to get Trump
on this thing. I think this is what led people

(15:35):
to the to the conspiracy theory was like he's been
playing four D chess the whole time. This old Wall
Street Journal article saying that Trump sent a letter with
a with a cartoon to Epstein. This was probably the
biggest fake news media fail I've ever seen. It's so
fast and it's already been blown up. Here's how you
know it was fake right away. Immediately as soon as

(15:56):
this story broke, they already had the Trump enemies. Bill Crystal,
who might hate Trump of more than anybody on earth,
immediately already booked on CNN to talk about this thing.
And he's he's reading from the letter. This was before
Trump's own response. But here's Bill click, here's how you
know this was faked? Yes, we do, come to think
of it, Donald Enigma's never age. Should you notice that, Jeffrey.

(16:19):
As a matter of fact, it was clear to me
the last time I saw you for me, I mean,
that's a kind of weird. What is enigmas? I mean
is that a word that Trump and Epstein used to
convey something that they shared. Wow? That only now they
don't produce the letter, They can't substantiate it. It's just
fake news. It's fake garbage. And everybody that pays attention

(16:42):
to the news and carent events was waiting for the
same thing. You know, you're reading your headline on your phone.
Wall Street Journal says they have incriminating letter of Trump. Okay,
well let me start the clock. And when Trump responds
to this and launches a lawsuit three two one, Trump
comes out on truth Social saying he's going to sue
the pants off of the Wall Street Journal. Absolutely absolutely

(17:03):
nothing to it. So it was complete es from the
beginning out it as bs, it's going nowhere, and in
the end, because it is fake news, it's gonna wind
up being a massive win for Trump. It just is.
And let me tell you there's another takeaway on this
that we can all apply to our lives. Like the
normal people who don't get sued by Trump or have
your name in the Wall Street Journal, find yourself a friend,

(17:28):
an employee, a business partner, a buddy, a sidekick who
loves you as much as JD. Vance loves Trump. Because
this was a pretty awesome statement too. Now, this post
from JD. Dvance came out even before the lawsuit was announced,
and this is great. J D Man says, forgive my language,

(17:49):
but this story is complete another bullshit. The Wall Street
Journal should be ashamed of publishing it. Where's the letter?
Would you be shocked to learn they never showed it
to us before publishing it? Does anybody honestly believe this
sounds like Donald Trump? That's loyalty. And I think just
by saying that he was probably in good graces for
Trump in the future, but just by saying that, I
think he just I think he just cemented it for himself.

(18:09):
The whole thing is just ridiculous. Again, gonna wind up
being a massive win for Trump because he fought back.
I don't know if it's for d chess and he
outsmarted everybody. But sometimes it doesn't even have to be
that complicated. Just just play the simple game, all right,
Speaking about smarting yourself, everybody knows about the cold Play

(18:30):
a fair couple, and we'll wrap it up with this,
not to laugh at their pain anymore, because I don't
think anybody had a worse week than these two. Oh,
I totally deserved. I totally get it. I understand that,
but amazingly they actually he this CEO of this Astronomer
web site, actually made it worse for himself. So here's

(18:51):
the background of the story, which I'm sure you've heard already.
It was a cold Play show and this couple was
there in a skybox and apparently as part of the
cold Play show they do like a kiss can. Well
he's playing a solo acoustic guitar, and you know they
focus in on couples. Well, obviously they focus in on
Andy Byron, the CEO of Astronomer, and the chief HR
official is they're they're together, sharing an intimate moment, and

(19:14):
then they were put on the stadium cam which went
viral and now everybody's seen it. Well they're not they're
they're they're not officially together, they're just together together. You
know what I'm saying. This was the moment it happened
live all right, Come on, youth, Oh what Either they're
having an affair.

Speaker 3 (19:34):
Or they're just gun shun.

Speaker 1 (19:37):
Now the first questions were, Oh, maybe they're just you know,
maybe that's just not what we thought it was. No,
is exactly what you thought it was. But amazingly, amazingly,
this guy, and I'm talking about Andy Byron, the CEO
of Astronomer, made it worse for himself. How do you
make it worse, you know, besides being outed for the
whole world, being the viral video of the week so far,

(20:00):
having your wife already your actual wife, change her last
name on her Facebook page the next day. I don't
mean to laugh at the guy's pain, but you know,
he did get into it himself. Here's how you make
that worse. You come out with a quote unquote apology
letter and you actually blame the band. That's what he did.

(20:21):
Now it's long, I'll go through the I'll go through
the main points for you. This is from Andy Byron.
I want to acknowledge the moment has been circulating online
disappointment it's caused was supposed to be a night of
music and joy turned into a deeply personal mistake playing
out in a very public stage. Yes, absolutely, blah blah
blah blah blah. I'm strutting my employees, my family, but

(20:42):
this is not who I am, where I want to
be and want to represent the company I helped build.
I'm taking time to reflect. Yeah you should. Here's the
amazing part of the quote unquote apology letter from Andy Byron.
I also want to express how troubling it is that
what should have been a private moment became public without
my consent. Huh. I respect artists and entertainers, but I

(21:06):
hope we can all think more deeply about the impact
turning someone else's life into a spectacle. I think you
did that yourself, Andy. And then he wraps up the
letter by by quoting a Cold Play lyric. My God,
So there's all right, here's the thing. So that was
worded very badly. So here's the big takeaway for everybody

(21:28):
else if you're ever in trouble in a setting like that,
in the public setting. Note of us her experts. But
I think this is common sense. Don't try to write
the letter yourself, because it is heartfelt, obviously, and it
is from him. You know, have a professional do it.
You go to your HR manager and have her write

(21:51):
the letter. So the oh wait a minute, no, oh sorry,
that wasn't an option, because apparently the lady who's having
a convert with was the HR manager your own. All right,
never mind, Just don't have an affair in public. That's
the takeaway. All right, I'm out of here. It's Friday.
We gotta have our weekend. Let's see. Let's see what's
going on. Maybe by the time you're listening and watching

(22:12):
this later there's some kind of big reveal of the
Epstein files and all this. I don't know. I don't care.
The answer for all of us has already happened. You
ask questions fairly and they're gonna show their work. Fine,
it's all anybody was asking for, And I do agree
with the guy. Let's put it to bed. Other than that,
have a great and an awesome weekend, Be safe, enjoy

(22:35):
your time. This is your time. Make it a wicked,
awesome Friday. Before we even get to them. I'll talk
to you at some point over the weekend with some little,
little extra do dads for some wicked wisdom. That's the
social media name for all the Facebook page and on
