Po okresie stanu wojennego działacze "Solidarności" działali w podziemiu. Janusz Satora pomagał pracownikom gdańskiego Elmoru, z którego jednak go zwolniono i miał problemy ze znalezieniem kolejnego miejsca zatrudnienia. Gdynianin Roman Zwiercan aktywnie działał wówczas w Solidarności Walczącej. Natomiast ostatni z bohaterów audycji, Mariusz Popielarz, był jednym z organizatorów strajku na Uniwersytecie Gdańskim w maju 1988 roku.
