WNBR (Wednesday Night Bible Read) Podcast™ isn't a Bible study. It isn't an Bible exposition. It isn't an in-depth guide to understanding the Bible. It's not a teaching of the Bible. As Pastor Chuck Smith would say, “The best Bible teaching is not that which dazzles people with the profound intellect of their teacher, but that which puts its truth squarely in their hands.”https://WNBRpodcast.com

Reads. Grab your Bible and getready, because we're about to get started,

(00:45):
and tonight we're coming from James Chapterthree. James Chapter three is where
we're going to be coming from. Not many of you should become teachers,
my fellow believers, because you knowthat we who teach will be judged more

(01:06):
strictly. We all stumble in manyways. Anyone who is never at fault
in what they say is perfect ableto keep their whole body in check.
When we put bits into the mouthsof horses to make them obey us,
we can turn the whole animal.Or take ships as an example. Although

(01:29):
they are so large and are drivenby strong winds, they are steered by
a very small rudder wherever the pilotwants to go. Likewise, the tongue
is a small part of the body, but it makes great boast. Consider
is what a great force is seton fire by a small spark. The

(01:51):
tongue also is a fire, aworld of evil among the parts of the
body. It corrupts the whole body, the whole course of one's life on
fire, and is itself set onfire by hell. All kinds of animals,
birds, reptiles, and sea creaturesare being tamed, and have been

(02:12):
tamed by mankind. But no humanbeing can tame the tongue. It is
a restless evil full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord
and Father, and with it wecurse human beings who have been made in
God's likeness. Out of the samemouth come praise and cursing my brothers and

(02:36):
sisters. This should not be.Can both fresh water and salt water flow
from the same spring, my brothersand sisters. Can a fig tree bear
olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh
water. Who is wise and understandingamong you? Let them show it by

(02:59):
their good life, by deeds donein the humility that comes from wisdom.
But if you harbor bitter envy andselfish ambition in your hearts, do not
boast about it or deny the truth. Such wisdom does not come down from
heaven, but is earthly, unspiritual, demonic. For where you have envy

(03:20):
and selfish ambition, there you willfind this order in every evil practice.
But the wisdom that comes from heavenis first of all pure, then peace
loving. Consider it submissive, fullof mercy and good fruit, impartial and
sincere. Peacemakers who so in peacereap a harvest of righteousness. Thank you. Tuning in
