WNBR (Wednesday Night Bible Read) Podcast™ isn't a Bible study. It isn't an Bible exposition. It isn't an in-depth guide to understanding the Bible. It's not a teaching of the Bible. As Pastor Chuck Smith would say, “The best Bible teaching is not that which dazzles people with the profound intellect of their teacher, but that which puts its truth squarely in their hands.” https://WNBRpodcast.com

(00:54):
in. We took last week off, which is of course Easter week,
but it is good to be back. You, however, must teach what
is appropriate to sound doctrine. Teachthe older men to be temperate, worthy

(01:17):
of respect, self control, andsound in faith, in love, and
in endurance. Likewise, teach theolder women to be reverent in the way
they live, not to be slanderersor addicted to too much wine, but
to teach what is good. Thenthey can urge the younger women to love

(01:38):
their husbands and children, to beself controlled and pure, to be busy
at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands so
that no one will malign the wordof God. Similarly, encourage the young
men to be self controlled and everything. Set them an example by doing what

(02:00):
is good, and your teaching showintegrity, seriousness, and soundness of speech
that cannot be condemned, so thatthose who oppose you may be ashamed because
they have nothing bad to say aboutus. Teach slaves to be subject to

(02:21):
their masters in everything, to tryto please them, not to talk back
to them, and not to stealfrom them, but to show them that
they could be fully trusted, sothat in every way they will make the
teaching about God our Savior attractive, for the grace of God has appeared that
offers salvation to all people. Itteaches us to say no to ungodliness and

(02:46):
worldly passions, and to live selfcontrolled, upright and godly lives in this
present age while we wait for theblessed hope, the appearing of the glory
of our great God and savior JesusChrist, who gave himself for us to
redeem us from all wickedness and topurify for himself a people that are his

(03:12):
very own, eager to do whatis good. These, then, are
the things you should teach, encourage, and rebuke with all authority. Do
not let anyone despise you. Titusthree remind the people to be subject to

(03:32):
rulers and authorities, to be obedient, to be ready to do whatever is
good, to slander no one,and be peaceable and considerate, and always
be gentle towards everyone. At onetime, we too were foolish, disobedient,
deceived and enslaved by all kinds ofpassions and pleasures. We lived in

(03:55):
malice and envy. We hated andhated one another. But when the kindness
and love of God, our Saviorappeared, he saved us not because of
righteous things that we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved
us through the washing of rebirth andrenewal by the Holy Spirit, whom he

(04:16):
poured out on us generously through JesusChrist, our Savior, so that,
having been justified by His grace,we might become heirs, having the hope
of eternal life. This is atrustworthy saying, and I want you to
stress these things so that those whohave trusted in God may be careful to

(04:38):
devote themselves to doing what is good. These things are excellent and profitable for
everyone. But avoid foolish controversies andgenealogies and arguments and quarrels about the law,
because these are unprofitable and useless.Warn a divisive person once, and

(04:58):
then warn them a second time. After that, have nothing to do with
them. You may be sure thatsuch people are warped and sinful. They
are self condemned. As soon asI send Artemis an Taichis to you,
do your best to come to meat Nicopolos, because I have decided to
winter there. Do everything you canto help Zenus of the Lawyer and Apollos

(05:24):
on their way, and see thatthey have everything they need. Our good
people must learn to devote themselves todoing what is good in order to provide
for urgent needs and not live unproductivelives. Everyone with me sends you greetings,
greet those who love us in thefaith. Grace be with you all.

(05:46):
Thank you for tuning in.
