Speaker 1 (00:17):
Back back to pay back to back to back to
bay by time to pay back to pay by tim
(00:50):
to buy back.
Speaker 2 (01:18):
Hey, what's going on everybody? And welcome back to another
live stream edition of the World Elite Podcast. My name
is Dylan Abert, and I hope everyone had a great weekend,
great labor day. This is not our normal day we
live stream. I will get to that in a second
as to why we're not streaming on our normal day
once again, because it seems like it's been a trend
lately of what we've been doing here. But I do
(01:38):
have my reasons. But joining me as always is the
Worldly Trio as well. First is Jordan Johnson. Jordan, what
is going on?
Speaker 3 (01:47):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:47):
How is your labor day?
Speaker 3 (01:48):
Oh?
Speaker 4 (01:49):
My labor day was great? And yeah, just ready to talk.
During the intro, it was kind of cutting out, but I.
Speaker 2 (01:54):
Think I got it now, Okay. Well, it seemed like
it probably was on your end and mine was was okay.
It seemed like, yeah, Blaine, was everything good on your end?
Speaker 5 (02:04):
Oh yeah, everything good on my ank?
Speaker 2 (02:06):
I hear Oh yeah, oh yeah, how you doing?
Speaker 5 (02:08):
Man?
Speaker 2 (02:09):
How was your labor day?
Speaker 1 (02:11):
Uh?
Speaker 5 (02:12):
It was too short enough, man, I wish I had
a longer break.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Yeah, oh yeah, I hear you on that one man.
And also before we get to our wrestling. It was
the return, the actual return of the good teams in
a college football. It wasn't the Week zero with the
with a bunch of FCS schools playing each other and whatnot,
the top twenty five matchup we saw in Ireland in
Week zero. This was the return of the big teams
(02:40):
as far as LSU, Texas, Ohio State, Alabama.
Speaker 3 (02:45):
It was.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
It was nice, but I don't believe it was very
nice on Blaine's end. Blaine is a Texas Longhorns fan. Blaine,
I'm gonna get to you first on this one. I
asked you for halftime, but I want to know, you know,
for for for post game. You know, what was the
thoughts on the debut of Arch Manning as the actual start.
I know he played a little bit last season, but
(03:08):
what was the full thoughts post game? Because because he
told me some stuff already, but I want to know
your your full thoughts on it.
Speaker 3 (03:17):
I think people was just too high on him.
Speaker 5 (03:19):
I don't know if they thought he's gonna come in
and just be like a Peyton man of right out
of the Gates, But I think I think he did
good for for his first actual, like real, real competitive start.
But it was a fourteen seven ball game. I could
I take that any day of the week, So I'm
(03:39):
pleased with that. I would have I would have read
that much of us win the game.
Speaker 4 (03:43):
But it is what it is.
Speaker 2 (03:46):
Yeah, Now on our end, I can say a little
bit better. Uh it was Brian Kelly's first season opener
win and since he took over, and uh yeah, it
was it was. It was nice. I mean, it was
nice getting a win. It was a close win, and
I see it more as as a two touchdown win,
being that we were robbed of that one touchdown coming
(04:07):
we can we were debating if it was a touchdown
or if he if he stepped out of the one
and he's ruled it incomplete.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
I was.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
I was baffled by that, and uh yeah, but overall,
I was happy with the win. And we got some
NFL this week, and we'll do some stuff at the
end for the NFL being that it's coming back tomorrow.
But we're gonna get to our first topic, and it
is none other than clash in Paris that happened this
past Sunday Live from Paris aired at one pm Central
(04:41):
here in Louisiana, and the card goes as followed. Roman
Reigns defeated Bronson Reid in the first match twenty two minutes,
five seconds and with the matched entrances, the postmatch stuff,
it took the first hour of the show. So I thought,
either we're getting an AEW type pay per view going
(05:05):
five hours whatnot, or some people's getting their matches cut
And look at the card. It didn't really go either
way because I mean each match, I mean got his
fair share of time. The Wyatt Six defeated the Street
Profits to retain the w Tack Team titles. Becky Lynch
defeated Nikki Bella to retain at the Women's Intercontinental Championship.
(05:26):
Russev defeated Seamus in the good old fashioned Donnie Brook match.
John Cena defeated Logan Paul and Seth Rollins defeated Sampunk,
Jay Usso and La Knight to retain the World Heavyweight title.
I didn't add anything else to the card because I
knew we wanted to give our thoughts on it. Alex
to start with Jordan on this one. With the card,
(05:48):
I mean what do you think about the whole show?
I mean you can go match by match, I mean
just give me your thoughts on everything and whatnot. So
and also at the end, I want your best match
and your worst match, And what would you rate the
entire p l E out of a five star?
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Yeah, the show was awesome, like starting with uh Roman
and Bronx and Reid that that was a great uh
match at the end and throwing them in the crowd.
That was And then that spear from uh uh shoot
uh ship I don't uh the spear on the announced table.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Oh yeah from from breaker yeah breaker, Yeah, that was.
Speaker 3 (06:31):
A good uh.
Speaker 4 (06:33):
The Wyatt six and them that that was a great match.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (06:38):
Becky Lynch and Nikki Bella, that was a great match.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
But like the finish with the.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Roll up, I gotta stopped on that one. That a
great match. Becky and Nick.
Speaker 3 (06:53):
Yeah, yeah, the finish wasn't that great?
Speaker 4 (06:59):
Russoff and them, Yeah that that was a good match,
watching them with uh with the barrels and and all that, Uh,
John Seen and Logan Paul that was a.
Speaker 6 (07:14):
Really good match.
Speaker 4 (07:15):
And then seth Rawlins and them with Becky Lynch coming out.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Yeah, so we'll get We'll get to the to the
aftermath as far as the main event, because I do
have a whole separate topic for that one. But Blaine,
I know, I know, it's a busy weekend. H Were
you able to catch the show on on Sunday?
Speaker 7 (07:39):
Yeah, I didn't watch it live, but I went back
the next day I watched it. It was I would
say it was lack lesser. I was expecting more from it.
Oh if you if you had to ask me a rating,
I think I would say like a a six out
of two mm hmm. By f are Becky and Nicky
(08:02):
was the worst match. Uh, the Roman Rings match was good.
Uh they putting him on the shove to make his movie,
That's why they they put him on a stretcher. And
then uh, I think the John Cena was the best
(08:24):
match of the night.
Speaker 2 (08:26):
Mm hmm. Justin says overall just a mass show and
to end the wp cock era of pay per views.
I agree, and he also said John Cena and Logan
Paul was matching the Knights and worse was easily Becky
and Nicky. Keith says the best match was the John
Cena match. I agree as well. I'm assuming this is
(08:50):
Tim on the game Breakers YouTube page. So what's going on, Tim? Uh?
He says, Roman and Bronson was good. He's a rooster.
M Seamers was good, seeing and Logan Paul fantastic. The
main event was good, but something about the tag match
and IC title much slowed the car it down. I agree.
I agree with everything he said. It is on the
(09:10):
mark with that one running out of the car for me. Yeah,
the entrances, the match, the post stuff with with Roman
and Bronson took the whole first hour of the show.
Uh So, like I said, I thought, man, either we're
getting a long show or getting matches cut. But I mean,
look at the times for each match, seemed like everyone
got their fair share of stuff, maybe just a little
bit more of what I thought that we were gonna
(09:32):
get for anything. Uh, the match was very good with
Roman and Bronson. I know everyone sees sees bron Breaker
as the big star for the Vision. I really see
it more as as Bronson can be a star of
his own. So whenever they decides, you know, to like
to get rid of the whole Vision faction, I can
(09:55):
see this being something for Bronson to read to break
out and man, he add very good in this match.
I figured he was going to take the l on
this one, being that Breaker is probably going to be
the one to give Roman that loss. But man, the
postmatch was just just amazing, from from Roman putting Paul
(10:17):
Hayman into that submission to him signing his shoes and
it thrown him to the crowds of just getting speared
out of nowhere by bron Breaker. And then Breaker does it,
does what's best, and he uh, he does what's best,
and he turns around and he comes right back, and
(10:39):
he gave that that sort of spear he gave to
like Carlito and Del Grande Americano. He gave that long
like we jumped like fucking five yards just to get
to him. And bron Breaker has the best spear in
the game right now. I mean, I'm pretty sure y'all
can agree. I don't know if y'all have someone else
that has a better spear. I mean, are I mean
spear wise, are we talking all time? Are we talking
(11:01):
about right now? Because I could see him even having
one of the best spear as ever. I mean, this
is nothing to Goldberg, to Roaman, to Edge or anybody,
but man, Bron Breaker has like a next level type
spear and it's it's so effective.
Speaker 4 (11:15):
Yeah, yeah, I agree with you.
Speaker 3 (11:19):
On the spear.
Speaker 6 (11:20):
He's the best of all time. But uh uh if
we thought that right now, I think, yeah, he has
the best in the game right now.
Speaker 2 (11:29):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 6 (11:31):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (11:31):
The Wyatt six match with the Street Profits, I have
a separate topic for what I want to ask Y
all about it, But it was it was overall a
decent match. I mean, nothing to you know, to lose
your mind over anything like that. One thing I loved
about it, and I've never seen a crowd do this before,
was actually singing the song of the Wyat six And man,
that was just goosebumps right there. That was so cool.
(11:56):
See that, I mean, because, like I said, no other
crowd has done that with the Wyat six. Uh, Becky
and Nicky was very lackluster. The spot where Nicky I
try to jump on on on Becky or just the
kicker and she wasn't even near Becky. And then the
spot by the announcers table where where Nicki is bouncing
(12:19):
Becky from my table to table and all you just
see is her hands bouncing off the table. It's not
even you know, even connecting with her face or anything
like that. It was so weird. I mean it was.
It was such a weird thing. But yeah, very lackluster
match for sure, probably and and to agree with everybody, Yeah,
it was the worst of the night.
Speaker 3 (12:41):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (12:41):
The Donnybrook match was really good with Russive and Seamus.
I figured Rusive would get to win because I feel like,
I feel like he needs it more than anybody right now.
So I think I think Seamus. I think Seamus is
gonna get this due. I think it's I think soon enough.
I think he just needs the Icy title now to
become a Grand Slam champion. I think I think sooner
or later we'll get it. But this was for roosetill whim.
(13:03):
I think he needed more than anything. Uh, Sina and
and Logan Paul was really good. To agree with everybody
once again. Best at the night easily, and then the
fatal four way was really fun seeing Becky getting involved
opens the door for something I'll talk about in a second. Overall,
(13:25):
it wasn't the best way to end the pl on
Peacock Era, but overall was not the worst show ever.
It's just something I wasn't crazy about. I'll give it.
I have a five star, I'll give it. I'll probably
give it a three five. I mean, I think it's fair.
(13:51):
But getting to the next topic, something I want to
bring up and has everything to do with the main event,
and it even been trickled into her raw and now
that opens up more speculation. It would have felt better
to talk about it if it wasn't spoiled for us
on the internet, because everything is spoiled on the internet nowadays,
and all the writers for professional wrestling, even Doughby Shops,
(14:17):
spoiled it, which fucking killed me right there, because I
was looking forward to talking about this when it was
just speculation whenever we weren't spoiled by everything. But as
it's looking right now on Friday back Home, it seems
like aj Lee is going to make her return to
the Dodobe after ten years away from the company. She
randomly announced her retirement after she teamed up with Page
(14:39):
at WrestleMania thirty one, and now it seems like she's
coming back to the Rings tag with her husband Seampunk
to take on Sethra Allen's and Becky Lynch at Russell Palooza.
I'll start with Blaine on this one. Blaine. Is there
any excitement to see aj Lee back into the I know,
(15:00):
I know some people have their thoughts and they're saying, oh,
she's just coming back for the money or whatever. But
I but I would love to see her back. I mean,
I think she's gonna get a very good pop And
it's in Chicago that they're bringing her back on SmackDown
on Friday, so I think it's gonna make it even better.
Speaker 6 (15:17):
If it was for the money or not.
Speaker 7 (15:18):
I love I can't wait to see her back, but
I wish to screw around with the IWC. I wish
that they prolonged her her appearance, Like everybody knows she's
coming back Friday, but maybe wait another week or so,
just to like poke the bearer, you know what I mean.
Speaker 6 (15:36):
But I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (15:38):
Honestly, if they wait any longer, I'm gonna lose my shit.
This can't happen because I am one that if their speculation,
if there's a big rumor, it's gotta happen. Because if
it wasn't in Chicago, I would say I would say no.
I mean yeah, because I mean I would like to
(16:00):
bring her back in Chicago, you know, where her and
see them Punk Live. They had they had a rampage
in Chicago and just off of pure speculation, they packed
that place out and see him Punk made his return
to professional wrestling. They're in Chicago again, but it's not
pure speculation this time because it's been spoiled on the internet.
(16:23):
Something that I hate about the Internet is when we're
being spoiled for everything and it's and it's not because
of the writers or anything like that. It's from Derby's
Shop because they answered someone on Twitter and they said, what,
aj Lee's returned to the ring. So that kind of
did it for me right there. Yeah, it doesn't matter
(16:46):
if it's a fun of money or anything like that.
I think it's awesome to see her finally come back
to the ring. She's been gone, like I said, for
over ten years. She retired after WrestleMania, and there's been
no rumor ever of her coming back. I know people
like I say, get excited for her possibly for like
a rumble appearance or something like that. I know when
(17:09):
Day had the Rumble that we were speculating for a
while that she would possibly come back, and whenever she didn't,
I think that's kind of when I said this is
the Danell on the coffin. She ain't coming back, And
now you can kind of reopen that because she is.
And I don't know if there's anyone out there still
that is that's still like, oh, she's not coming back
(17:31):
or anything like that.
Speaker 1 (17:32):
She is.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
I mean, it's one hundred percent she's coming back on Friday.
And I'm not that type to like, hey, I want
to mess with everybody and just delay her appearance. Delay
her appearance. It's got to happen. If it was somewhere
some random ass city and a random ass state, I
would say no. But it's in Chicago. It's gotta happen.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
If if it was a surprise, yeah, I mean.
Speaker 2 (18:03):
Okay, if it was a surprise, if they didn't spoil nothing,
if it was in a random ass town, yeah, I
mean obviously she got a pop. But I mean it's
in Chicago, and even though it's been spoiled, she's she's
still gotta get a Oh my god, she's gonna get
a massive pop. I mean I think she gets a
pop that's like on the same level when when Punk
(18:24):
debuted in ADW Because I still say that's probably a
bigger pop than when he showed up at Wargames in Chicago.
Oh because, I mean, because because this is two different
things when it comes to that. With ad W, he
came back to professional wrestling, something he left and absolutely
never came back. When he said he wasn't coming back,
he went try to UFC. How he felt miserably at that,
(18:47):
but then he came back to the company that he
ended up believing. So I think it's two different things. So,
I mean, the one in in Chicago for war Games
was it was massive, but the one for Rampage was
also massive.
Speaker 3 (19:03):
So I don't know.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
I mean, I really don't know. Justin says they definitely
wouldn't be doing these massive teasers that they didn't have
already locked her down. I one hundred percent agree. I
don't think Punk would be asking, oh, where SmackDown is Friday?
No one damn well Punk, He hardly ever showed them
on SmackDown. If that, then Rollins and Becky I'm pretty
sure are going to be there Friday as well. Yeah,
(19:27):
they they one hundred percent locked her down. She's gonna
be there Friday. The speculation is going to be over
after ten years that she is coming back to the company. Jordan,
I want all your thoughts on this. Uh for a
j Lee, I mean, are you excited to see her
come back? Also, I got another question for both of y'all,
went when Blaine does come back? When it does, because
(19:48):
I did see her report, but I want to know
what y'all think about it as well. So Jordan, let
me hear it.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
Yeah, I'm happy to see her come back and all
that in the ring. Yes, she's done to get a
great pop, and yeah in Chicago so is Yeah, I
can't wait to see her back in the ring.
Speaker 6 (20:07):
Now.
Speaker 2 (20:08):
Like like Blaine was asking, do you do you think
it would have got a like the same level pop
that she's going to against Chicago if it was in
a random state or random city whatever, But it wasn't
spoiled on the internet and she just randomly showed up. Yeah,
I think so, I mean all depends. All depends where
it's at. I mean, yeah, I think.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
I think.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
I think Chicago is the best wrestling city in the States,
and it's not even close. There's a lot of good ones,
but Chicago is so good for wrestling, and that's why
I'm happy to doing it there. What I have loved
to see her come back on her all when they
were in Paris, that would have been crazy level pop
(20:51):
with that crowd. Holy shit. But no, if, if, if
you're gonna bring her back, it's gotta be in Chicago.
They brought Punk back in aw when they was in Chicago,
if they brought him back to b in Chicago, so
I think it's only fitting they bring aj Lee back
also in Chicago. I was gonna ask something, but Blaine
(21:14):
is not back yet. Jordan, I'll ask you this first.
Do you see this being a more of a long
term run with the company. Some people think it's a
one off for her to tag with Punk at Russell Palooza.
Other people see it as this is going to be
more than just a one off. And is there anybody
(21:35):
And to add to the question, is there anyone in
the company right now you would like to see her
work with that she hasn't had a chance to work
with because most of that female roster right now she
has not worked with.
Speaker 4 (21:49):
Yeah, I would like to see her like more than
one Like I would like her to have like a
good run.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
And uh, I'm trying to see That's why there's a
lot on that at ross And if you if you want.
You can dig deep to n x T if you want.
I mean, possibles are endless. I feel like because the
main roster should have been NXT. Sometimes not Sha don't
show up there. But it's just say, I mean, you
(22:19):
can pretty much pick anyone has kind of like a
little dream matcher.
Speaker 4 (22:23):
That maybe what's her name was, Stephanie back here or whatever.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
Maybe, yeah, that'd be nice. A lot of people would
like to see her or go against Roxanne. They're both small,
so yeah, I mean, size difference is different with this one,
but I would love to see her maybe with Aria Ripley,
that'd be fun. I mean, there's a lot of people
have to see her go oscar eo sky. I mean,
(22:49):
there's a lot of people to hear her go against uh.
Justin says I've said for the longest time, if she
doesn't want to come back and stop forcing it, all
I want to see is that it be proved me wrong,
because I've seriously she's never coming back for the longest time.
I agree. I mean they've they've teased it for so long,
and but they've never teased it like this. They've never
(23:10):
teased it to where this speculation started I say they
only really they never teased it like saying, oh, where's
we're smacked, I'm going to be at or or involved
in seam punk Er anything like that. It was just
based off a pure rumor like Oh, she's gonna be
at the Rumbull or this and that, this and that.
But this is the biggest speculation they've had for her
(23:32):
to come back, and and when it's actually being picked
up by the news outlets that she's coming back as well, Blaine,
I asked Jordan, I don't want to ask you as well,
Uh do you see this being more of a full
time run for a j Lee more than just a
one off? And is there anyone on the current roster
it can be main roster NXT you'd like to see
(23:54):
her have that kind of dream match with.
Speaker 7 (23:58):
I think I think she would be get be there
for a couple of years, but I would like to
see her and her daughter go at it. Roxanne Peress,
that's one that I want to see. I would like
to see her in in Rea. I think that would
be a good one too. But it's a lot of
it's a lot of possibilities with her coming back. Her
and Alexa Bliss ye.
Speaker 3 (24:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (24:20):
Uh, I know Jordan had said Stephanie vack here I
said her between Roxanne and and Rio rip play, but
I mean other people. I mean, like I said, Oscar
is well Eo Sky, I mean, the possibility are so
endless with that women's roster. That women's roster is loaded,
and who was.
Speaker 6 (24:34):
On the who's in the on the roster when she retired,
I forgot.
Speaker 2 (24:40):
It definitely wasn't as deep as it is now. I mean,
I know she teamed up with Page, She's had her runs.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
With Page, Charlotte and Bailey and Becky was the Maine
three probably.
Speaker 7 (24:50):
I mean was it but wasn't wasn't like that around
the same time when uh wait no, that was before that.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Little yeah, because that was because that was more towards
the next year, because I know they had that match
for the women's title when they stopped calling them divas.
It was for the women's title with it was with Charlotte,
Becky and Sasha at Mania and Dallas the when I
was at so yeah, that was like the year after
when they brought all them there. So I mean you
(25:20):
can even mention, I mean she's gonna get her running
with with with Becky, which is cool. I would like
to see her against against maybe Charlotte Flair. She's never
had that run before. So I mean, like I said, possible,
they are endless with this one.
Speaker 6 (25:32):
I tell you, Turball, I guess I heard the rumors
about Page coming back. What if they finish she come back.
Speaker 2 (25:43):
That's something I like to see. Also, I mean, like
I said, there's so many things to do even with
bringing her back. I thought she was a bad signing
for aw. It just never fit at all for Page.
But I think I think she would like to come
back to kind of finish kind of what she started
over there, and it's just it's just a whole the
injury bug has gone from her with her neck and
and whatnot. Sow Yeah, she'll probably have to be on
(26:10):
SmackDown on DNF if that happens, because Xavier is on overall.
But uh, all right, we'll moving on something. Also, I
took away from Clash in Paris. Seems like a breakup
is on the horizon between the street profits.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
I dot you mean Timody Stradden and Uka.
Speaker 2 (26:30):
See I've been seeing that, but I haven't seen nothing
like Uh yeah, if I say Jordan's looking for that.
Speaker 1 (26:40):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (26:41):
But one big question I have is who benefits the
most from the Street Profits breakup if it does happen.
I I mean, I think I know who that we
all agree on, But I think I think the the
one who doesn't benefits too much. I say, is Beefab.
You know, she joined them. I think I think she
has grown a lot from being with the Street Profits.
(27:01):
And if you take that away from her, I mean,
I don't know, Conna, what do you do with her
after that?
Speaker 7 (27:08):
You could wrestle when she got there and she started
getting better wrestling, and then if you did you split
them up, did she just get lost to the shuffle?
Speaker 3 (27:17):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (27:17):
I mean, for one, with montest Ford and Angela Dawkins,
I feel like that both of them can benefit from
a breakup from a singles run. I know, I know
montest Ford would be the bigger name I think coming
from this that you could push as a bigger single star.
But I would like to know from both of y'all,
you know, like kind of like who has their advantage
from a breakup? And and in your own perspective, Jordan,
(27:39):
I'll start with you.
Speaker 4 (27:42):
Uh, I think Monset are Dawkins mm hmm, Yeah, because
I can see my chance scored, like, yeah, he can
probably have a good run singles run.
Speaker 2 (27:59):
Now Montes, I mean, obviously I would say world title
Angelo Dawkins. I would say more around the mid card things.
So I think they could strive both in their own way.
But I really don't want to see them breakup. I know,
I know I've talked about it before. How maybe it
would work out for Montese Ford more than Dawkins. But
I mean, these guys are so good together. But I
(28:22):
think that Uncle Howdie is playing that carrying cross role
and he's trying to to beat a divider in between them.
That's something I've that I kind of took away from
SmackDown whenever he was his own self trying to, you know,
get in between the street profits on Friday. But Blaine,
I mean, do you see one being more beneficial than
(28:42):
the other from a breakup. I know a lot of
people would say Montes, but some people will say Angelo.
Speaker 6 (28:50):
I think straighted to that.
Speaker 7 (28:53):
I see title of pictures just to get just to
get on a fast trek to the world title Universal.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
I actually think Donkins would get lost in the show.
Speaker 7 (29:04):
I think he would be fired within the next The
two three years after the breakup, because I don't he
doesn't have that that charisma that's funked likeness.
Speaker 6 (29:15):
Montez has it.
Speaker 3 (29:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
I mean, for me, there's there's just tag teams that
are not meant to break up. I've seen it happen,
and yet they are one of them easily by far.
But I mean others I've seen whenever they had crime
time with JTG and Shad Gaspard, they broke them up
and that was the worst possible thing they did. And
same thing when they broke up in Zo and Casts.
(29:40):
I mean, they're there's just teams that are meant to
be together. But honestly, I would I would welcome a
breakup if they had something for all three of these
and that's including BFAB because I think BFAB has gotten
so much better since she got with the Street Profits.
But I don't know how she would fare not being
(30:00):
with them. I mean, could she kind of do like
a thing where she she picks sides and she has
to roll with one of them, like maybe be with
montest Forward or even Angela Dawkins or I don't know.
I mean, from what I feel like, that's the way
they have to go. If if they're gonna break them up,
she has to latch onto one of them because by herself,
(30:21):
I just don't see it. But with Angelo Dawkins, I
don't know if I would so say for him to
get lost in the shuffle even released whenever they have
their new wave come out of releases. I feel like
this is a guy that you can really utilize as
a single star in that mid card division. But also
I feel like I feel like, going back to what
(30:41):
I said, there's just teams that are not meant to
break up, and they're not one of them. They're not
one that it would benefit from a breakup. So think
twice before you break this team up. I don't like
it if they do it. But also I've set up
a lot of things and it's turned out to be
very well, so we.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
Didn't need to break up, dude. So you can see
Jimmy got lost lost.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Ye had Jay had Jay got everything from that breakup,
and Jimmy just really got lost. But he really never
lost his role from the breakup either. It was just
it was just helping out whoever was good, Like I
was helping Jay sometimes or helping Roman, uh, but he
was always caught in that bloodline type storyline with the
(31:27):
MFT with Solo and them and and whatnot. He was
always there, so he never really did his own thing
since the breakup. So yeah, I mean that's another that's
just shouldn't have broke up. I mean, from what I
know why they did. And Jay obviously skyrocketed from being
a single star, even won a world title, and he
(31:48):
has still wanted up the hottest names right now in
the company. But I would love for him to get
back together at some point just to benefit uh Jimmy
a little bit.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
I think they teased Monday at the end of the match.
Speaker 2 (32:02):
Yeah before if you're gonna break up one tag team,
you gotta have another one come Because on smack Down,
a tack ting division is great, but on O Brall
they are awful. It's an awful tacting division. On Raw,
they need a draft, they need Danny, a superstar shakeup,
they need something on All Bad. Yeah, all right, So
another takeaway from Clash in Paris. It was obviously not
(32:24):
Nicky Bella who did it. So I would like to
know from both of you, who's the one that's gonna
actually dethrone Becky Lynch. I mean, do you see them
to put her in the icy title picture with Becky.
Speaker 7 (32:38):
Yeah, I think they're gonna try to drag that out
a little longer, and I think a be the one
to de thrown Becky.
Speaker 6 (32:44):
And I think some somewhere down the line we all
call it go to dethrone.
Speaker 2 (32:51):
Yeah, I think I think seam Pump is going to
actually win it and have a ragin with it rather
than what happened at at SummerSlam. But yeah, I mean
I could see a j doing it if she doesn't,
though I really don't know who you have taken off
of her. I mean there's I mean the women's rosters
(33:13):
loaded for who could actually do it. I could see
someone like a like Oscar or someone who is not
in the world title picture, which is like EO or
Stephanie or Rhea or something of that. Because for one,
as much as you don't, as as much as people
(33:35):
don't like Riha, it's always been a title picture. She's
always going to be in the title picture. If she's
not holding it, she's in the title picture. It's a
little stale, but she's never gonna go after a mid
card title.
Speaker 6 (33:48):
So that's uncle Ja.
Speaker 2 (33:52):
Yeah, just like it's some gold on Jade. I mean,
she hasn't had it yet, Baily.
Speaker 6 (33:58):
There's a lot of them.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
Yeah, Bailey's having this weird like finding her self type
gimmick right now, which I don't know what that's going
to lead to at all. I mean a lot of
people saying it could be going back to her old gimmick, which.
Speaker 6 (34:12):
I hope not back to the Hugard.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
I like that.
Speaker 6 (34:16):
I like that, Billy.
Speaker 2 (34:19):
Honestly, that might be what she does. I mean, because
she's done everything already, so why not just go back
to what you're doing already? So yeah, I mean I
could see it. Jordan, who can be the one to
be thrown her? Are you agreeing with a j or
are you going with somebody else?
Speaker 3 (34:38):
I'll say, like Jade or.
Speaker 4 (34:41):
Yeah Ja or a j Lee or whatever?
Speaker 3 (34:44):
Y'all saying.
Speaker 6 (34:47):
Someone that named Tiffany?
Speaker 3 (34:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (34:51):
Yeah, pretty much?
Speaker 3 (34:54):
All right?
Speaker 2 (34:55):
So next topic. We talked about this pretty much every
live stream we've done, so who is actually going to
be the one to face John Cena in his final match?
And my brother actually gave me some sort of a
theory he has about it, which sounds very interesting. But
who's gonna be the one to put John Cena in
(35:17):
his final match. I mean, who's is gonna win his
final match?
Speaker 3 (35:21):
Is?
Speaker 2 (35:23):
I mean Blaine? Who's he going against?
Speaker 7 (35:26):
I'm still staying strong. I think he's gonna lose his
final match to Bruck.
Speaker 2 (35:32):
Okay, now, Jordan, yeah, I don't say Brock.
Speaker 3 (35:39):
All right.
Speaker 2 (35:39):
So before I give my answer, my brother gave me
a theory about this the other day and it does
not sound bad at all. It's not a bad theory
at all. He was saying that what if that he
goes to retire, but then when he turned back face
he bad mouthed The Rock. I mean when he did it,
(36:00):
he turned face, you know, he said they, And so
Ryan was saying, what if the Rock says, you can't
retire until from what? Until? I tell you too? Because
you gave me your soul atn Elimination Chamber. So the
retirement tours extended to WrestleMania, and that's when the final
match happens at WrestleMania in Vegas next year. Uh Sena
(36:24):
and the Rock running back one more time at WrestleMania.
I don't hate it.
Speaker 3 (36:31):
I don't hate it.
Speaker 7 (36:32):
I could see it, but they already advertise his last
appearance in Vegas and then media.
Speaker 6 (36:38):
So I don't I don't know if they will go
back on that, but it's you never know.
Speaker 2 (36:46):
Yeah, I mean they eliminated the WrestleMania to us, they
went back on their word. Should they do anything, You're right,
I don't hate it, uh for John Cena's final opponents,
if they don't go that route, if they if they say, hey, yeah,
your last match is a SUREN Night's main event, which
I hate that they would do a TV special for
(37:06):
his final match. I hate that, But if that's the
way they're gonna do it, then it is what it is.
M Oh Okay, we lost Blaine. Uh yeah, all right,
(37:31):
so so while we get him back, I don't know
if I agree with both of y'all that his final
one is Brock. I think I think Bronck happens before
the final match. But who would I have him against
in the final match? Is that is the big question.
I think you gotta go with one of his biggest
(37:52):
rivals that he hasn't already gone against in his final run,
so you kind of so so you kind of limit
yourself here because some of his bigger rivals over the
years that you know that we're familiar with Heredy, want
to see him punk Hardy did Darton. He can't do Edge,
(38:12):
He's in AW. I would love to see him go
against AJ Styles. I would love him and AJ to
run him back one more time. But is that last
match worthy? I don't know. I really don't know, but
it would make more sense if AJ had to entercount
(38:33):
out a title, which we'll get to that, but it
wouldn't be for anything unless AJ somehow wins it before
the last match. But right now, even even saying no,
I think I think Brock sounds better, So fuck it,
I'll switch the Brock to The more I think about
(38:56):
it with AJ, it sounds like it makes zero sense
for that to be his last match, So yeah, I'll
go with Brock for the last match at Saturn Knight's
main events, although I wish they would go that other
route that Ryan was saying, that sounds so much better
than this giving him a final match on a TV special.
Don't have that happen place. And then our final topic
(39:17):
is something that early pissed me off on Monday Night Raw,
Dominic Mysterio has retained the Intercontinental title after we all
thought that he was going to be dropping it two
AJ styles, being that World's Collide is next Friday, which
we will be predicting that next Monday for our show,
(39:39):
so people can look forward to that, even y'all can
look forward to it. Was it the right move for
Dominic to retain being that he's going into a world
title match against the kingo At at World's Collide, Jordan,
I will start with you on this one. We thought
that it was happening. We thought a phenomenal forum was coming,
but out comes El Grande America some for some reasons,
(40:01):
screwing a J when AJ didn't even screw over our
on on a triple Mania, didn't screw over El Ground Americano.
So AJ had none to do with El Ground Americano.
Somehow he gets into the mix and he screws over AJ.
Dominic wins and retains the Interconda title. So now we
(40:23):
have a chance to see a double champion Dominic at
World's Collide next Friday. But Jordan, was it the right
move or the wrong move to have Dominic to continue
his reign as Intercondinal Champion?
Speaker 4 (40:37):
Yeah, I think it was the wrong move. I think
they should have put it on AJ and then then
he goes on till on Friday, so yeah, I think, yeah,
they should have put it on AJ.
Speaker 2 (40:50):
I mean, especially after that crowd reaction. I mean, the
first time he went to France was last year, and
AJ was a heel. He couldn't really soak in the
moment of that crowd singing to him, and even a
camera was bouncing when he was a heel, and it
shook the whole ring, it seemed like. But then you know,
fast forwards Monday, he got an amazing reaction and and
(41:19):
uh yeah, they didn't capitalize on it. I think it
was the wrong move as well. As much as I
like Dominic and I think I think he is going
to win next week. As a spoiler for next week, yeah,
I mean, I think they should have put it on
him at triple Mania. But now he's getting that consolation
(41:42):
prize at a World's Collide. I mean, people can say
it's not a Constellation prize, but I still think it is.
I still think it's a Constellation prize for not giving
him whenever he got a great pop at triple Mania.
So so, for one, I don't love it that they
had dom go over, and I don't understand why he's
(42:03):
going over. He's obviously not going to defend the Triple
the Triple A world title on on w W television,
so he's gonna have to do double appearances in Mexico
or or wherever they're doing Triple A shows. I know
they're doing World's Collide in Vegas, so yeah, he's gone
(42:25):
to pull double duty too to defend both titles. So
I think this was your bigger moment to put the
title on AJ, and they felled at it. And I'm
not one to criticize Triple H for anything like most
of the iw C does, and it's actually pretty annoying
to see the amount of criticism that Triple H gets
(42:48):
on the internet. But I got I I gotta criticize
him on this one. This was a bad move. I
would have put AJ over. I think your capital on
the moment and you put the title on him, and
that way you let Dom go to Worlds Collide next
week and more than likely win the world title from
(43:09):
a KINGO. And this is unless someone else gets involved
to screw Dom because because remember after Dom got the
title match our World's Collide, he had that face to
face run with Raymond Stereo. Does ray screw him and
assist a KINGO. I think that would be awful. Oh,
by the way, Blaine, was it the right move or
(43:29):
the wrong move to have Dominic Mysterio go over on
rall and retain the intercount title man.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
Other than just taking the difficulties were having tonight? That move.
I hated it move.
Speaker 7 (43:44):
It's s I think I think Dom should have dropped
that and did give him the the Triple A World
title next week.
Speaker 3 (43:53):
It's like, you just you wasted aj last good years,
just me and a job of so to speak.
Speaker 2 (44:04):
Yeah, because not only do you have him lose on
on a pol after he is trying to get his
match for so long to get Dom cleared, you know,
playing all those characters and whatnot, and then you know,
he gets his match, he loses, but then we get
the news that he's getting his match again on Raw
after Clash in Paris, and we're like, oh, yeah, that's
(44:26):
when he's gonna win it. I mean shit, Blaine, you
weren't saying it for weeks that AJ was gonna win
it and that and that opens the door for Dom
to win the Triple A title, and that way, you know,
you can balance our boat have AJ have one and
have have Dom Howe the other. But they completely blundered this. Yeah,
(44:47):
I I honestly, God don't know what they're doing when
it comes to this, because I mean I would say
AJ have the interkind title, have a great run with it,
you know, have great matches with it, and you know
to have Dom go to Triple A and win that
title there and also get your eyes on Derby to
him have that title, because it's not like he's not
(45:09):
going to bring that title with him. Look what what
Angel and Berto were doing with the tag titles when
they had it, They brought it on on Derby television.
If someone Derby had a a another Triple A title,
they would bring it on television. Same thing Dom is
gonna do every week on Raw. It's going to have
that Triple A world title. But now I guess they
(45:30):
want to push him as the double champion or which
I'm not. I'm not crazy about double champions because it
means you got to somehow prioritize both of them, and
I haven't really seen too many people be successful and
prioritizing one. Come on, bro, this is going This is
going so good. I knew it was going, man, yeah,
(45:58):
I mean, but yeah. The thing is with DOM you
have to find a way to prioritize both and unless
they have some major plan to do it, then I
I just don't see why didn't put it on a
j No. But all right, well, is there anything else
you guys would like to bring up from the weekend?
(46:20):
Any other wrestling topics that I didn't bring up. I
don't aw Sniders or anything aw you want to bring
up other than Tony Kahan running from Derby to change
the time of All Out and not match up with
Russell Palooza. It's now at three o'clock Central, while Russell
Palooza is at I think seven o'clock.
Speaker 3 (46:43):
He knows who's the big dog.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
He doesn't want to go head to head. He doesn't
want to do it.
Speaker 3 (46:49):
He knows who's the big to get washed out.
Speaker 2 (46:52):
The thing is, he's he's not afraid to match up
with NXT, even though NXT beats him in the ratings
pretty much every week on television. But he will not
god the head of pay per views versus p L
on a weekend because he knows that it doesn't matter
how good the card you put out for All Out,
it's not gonna match up better than Wrestle Paloo's as
(47:13):
as silly as the name sounds. They're bringing back A
J Lee from a ten year retirement. It's on ESPN.
They're gonna do well, and this is their first pay
per view aw on HBO Max as well, which also,
I honestly God don't care. They're not gonna get my
money for this one. If anything, I'll watch it on
(47:33):
one of those illegal sites or something like that which
rip stream East by the way, that killed me today
that they took streams down, they still got crackstreams out. Yeah, well,
they took down crackstreams a while back. They brought that back,
but Stream East is gone once again, and it doesn't
sound like it's coming back. I hope it does. I mean,
that's adds onto the sites I canna watch my stuff on. Yeah,
(47:56):
I saw the news today and and it tore me apart.
But yeah, I got nothing to a w I didn't
even see the car, don't And I also don't care
about the car. I'm not watching Dynamites.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
I don't care about the show.
Speaker 2 (48:10):
I don't I don't remember the last time I watched Dynamite,
or even the second of Dynamites.
Speaker 3 (48:14):
I don't.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
I don't care to watch it. I don't know Jordan
anything on anything else or.
Speaker 7 (48:23):
No, kay, I can wait a little five three black
hair start skipping down the rent.
Speaker 3 (48:32):
I can't wait.
Speaker 2 (48:33):
Oh, Friday is going to be pure cinema and I
cannot wait. I'm gonna be at a high school football game,
but my phone will be on the side.
Speaker 3 (48:40):
I'll be on the sideline trying to watch it. But
I know I didn't. Well I can't.
Speaker 2 (48:44):
Yeah, I'm going to Elton in and St. Ed's on
on Friday. We got our tickets already. My wife has
a family friend our son plays for Elton, so we're
gonna go out and we'll watch them at St. Ed's
on on Friday.
Speaker 3 (48:57):
Yeah, we played. We played pine Villa at home.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
Though I have no clue who Mamu plays and it
probably won't be pretty anyway.
Speaker 3 (49:04):
So they played They'll skull Drag.
Speaker 2 (49:08):
Okay, Well that's good to here. Mamu isn't either, so
it's gonna be like it better than okay, Well, I.
Speaker 3 (49:21):
Think mama is good. They should make the playoffs this.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
Year, damn. Okay, nice, okay, well, good to hear. That's
the That's something I don't keep up with very often
as high school football, even though I try to make
a game of year for MAMU and I usually leave
by halftime sometimes because we're just getting to fucking breaks
beating off of us.
Speaker 3 (49:45):
You're picking the wrong game, then they.
Speaker 2 (49:47):
Probably don't probably picking the games where we're playing someone
really good, and I need to go to a game
we're playing, like like somewhere will play Friday Yea or
Phille Platt. Yeah, yeah, I'm definitely gonnak at the schedule
and see which game I'll make this year. Like I said,
usually make a game of year, and it's not very
often I stay pass halftime, so I will definitely find
(50:08):
a good one to go to. But that will do it.
For this live stream edition of the World the Late Podcast,
I want to thank everyone for tuning in on another
night that's not our normal night. We should be back
on our normal day of Monday next week of six
pm Central. Talk some more wrestling, obviously the big return
that we're all expecting on Friday. I'm sure that'll be
(50:28):
the main topic on Monday, and we'll also predict the
world's collide. I know the next week is a double
prediction show for Russell Palooza and Blaine's favorite pay per
view of aew All Out that will be airing the
same day. As much as Blaine hates AAW, I will
predict the card and whether he likes it or not,
(50:51):
he will predict it as well. So it should be
a fun two weeks. A lot to talk about, a
lot of shows to predict and whatnot. So I know
sooner or later t n A has a pay per
view that's going to be soon as well. I don't
know what day or with pay per view it is.
I think it's the one where the Dudley's and the
Hardys are going at it again. Yeah, I can't remember
(51:14):
what day it falls on at all, but whenever it does,
we will predict it as well. We're going to try
to include all the major wrestling promotions and whatnot, as
much as Blaine doesn't want to include one.
Speaker 3 (51:31):
I think I think the same as the Big the
Big boxing match.
Speaker 2 (51:37):
Oh shoot, they are they are trying to do again.
Speaker 3 (51:42):
If I'm not mistaken ouch Well yeah, but.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
