Speaker 1 (00:17):
To back to back to back to back to back
(00:44):
to back to back to back.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
Hey, what's going on everybody? And welcome back to another
live stream edition of the World the lad Podcast. My
name is Dylan Aber, and I hope everyone is having
a great day. I had a great weekend, a great
weekend of wrestling, a great weekend of sports. I know
I didn't have a great weekend of sports. The Saints
and LSU stunk it up this weekend for me unfortunately.
I mean for the Saints, that's every weekend, but LSU
(01:38):
was awful.
Speaker 1 (01:40):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (01:41):
But of course I am joined by my guys. Of course.
First we got Jordan Johnson. Jordan, what is going on today?
Speaker 3 (01:46):
Man?
Speaker 4 (01:47):
Doing great?
Speaker 5 (01:48):
And you watching some baseball?
Speaker 2 (01:50):
So yeah, as as you can tell by the hat,
I'm also watching some baseball right now. We're down one
nutt and hopefully we can we can turn it around
on My brother will probably be in the chat, possibly
talking a bunch to me as well. And then of
course we got our guy, Blaine Arsenal Blaine, what is
going on?
Speaker 4 (02:06):
Man? Man? It was going on?
Speaker 1 (02:08):
Man?
Speaker 4 (02:08):
Good to be back for another week of.
Speaker 2 (02:10):
Wrestling, absolutely, man, we got some stuff to talk about today.
We only had one show this weekend, and we'll start
off with that. But first, Jordan, before you pop that up,
before we get into anything, I just quickly want to
give thanks to everyone who tuned in last week, whether
you tuned into the live stream, watched the replay, watched
(02:32):
if you listen to the audio, and whatnot. I just
thought of comment as well. I'll pop that up in
a second. But yeah, for anyone who watched last week,
to replay the livestream, listened to the audio, anything, we
are truly thankful for that. I know it's been some
weekends or some weeks of cancellations and whatnot, but that's
(02:54):
something we are trying to do less and less of now.
Speaker 3 (02:57):
And we had to start a little bit later.
Speaker 2 (02:59):
Today, but that's okay, stuff out of our control and whatnot.
But of course, let's pop some comments up before we
get into our wrestling. First, we got my sister tuning in,
We got Jordan's mom tuning in, and I knew he
was gonna be there. My brother is tuning in as well,
so this should be fun. So let's get into our
first topic, and that is of course nxteen No Mercy
(03:21):
that aired live disc past Saturday from Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
I'm gonna run down to match card, but I have
a special topic for the main event, so I will
keep that separate from that. First we had Javon Evans
defeated Josh Briggs in the opening match. Soul Ruka defeated
(03:41):
Jada Parker for the Women's Speed Championship. It was supposed
to be Laney Reid. Laney read out with injuries, so
Jada Parker took her spot and Solruka won. Jordan Grace
defeated Blake Monroe and a WEAPONI still cage match. Ethan
Page defeated Tavian Heights to retain at the North American Championship,
(04:02):
and j C. Jane defeated Lolevice to retain the NXT
Women's Championship. Like I said, the main event will keep
on a separate topic. But Jordan, I'll start off with
you first on this one. This was a really good
show I find for a small crowd. I know NXT
has been doing some bigger crowds, but this was a
very small crowd in Fort Lauderdale. But but aside from
(04:26):
the main event, you know, what is your take on
the whole show.
Speaker 3 (04:28):
You know, did it live up to the expectations?
Speaker 4 (04:32):
Yeah, I think it.
Speaker 5 (04:33):
Yeah, it was a really good show.
Speaker 6 (04:35):
Like you said, not that many fans, so yeah, Javana
average you you already know that it was gonna be
a high flying match with.
Speaker 5 (04:44):
Him uh sor Ruka and them that.
Speaker 6 (04:48):
For the speed title. I don't know why they have
the speed title because it sucks U during Grace and them, Man,
that was a wild match, like Blake Monroe was cutting
her hair mm hm yeah. Ethan Page and them was good,
pretty good. Uh yeah, lola Ice should have won that match,
(05:12):
I think.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
But let me ask you this, and Ilex Blaine as
well to kind of to get his thoughts as well.
But Blaine, I assume you watched the show on Saturday. Okay,
someone attacked lola Ice in that match? Who is it?
Because because because the Jasmine Nicks is no longer part
of the B and she's no longer in a Fatal Attraction,
someone attacks lola Ice. I mean, I mean, I have
(05:37):
a name, because it's been rumored that she's the name
that is with Fatal Constraction, But honestly, who do you
all think it is?
Speaker 4 (05:49):
I have no clue.
Speaker 7 (05:50):
I've been scratching my brain since I watched it, like
who could be like this this time? You can't normally
guess like who's behind the masks or whatnot, But now
I honestly don't know who.
Speaker 2 (06:02):
Yeah, the only name, the only name I've really been
seeing was Laney Reed. She was supposed to be in
a speed match, she gets knocked out for injuries, suddenly
out with injury, and now they're talking that she could
be the newest.
Speaker 3 (06:13):
Member of a Fatal attraction.
Speaker 2 (06:16):
So now she could be behind the masks who took
out Lola Ice and helped Jacy Jane retain the title.
And that's the only name I could really see being
a potential new member with Jasmin Nick's being out of
the company now.
Speaker 7 (06:30):
But who excuse me, who contract ended previously that may
be proudly debuting.
Speaker 4 (06:37):
That's my only question.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
See, I really don't know. I have no idea, and
because for one, the only name that makes sense is
Laney Reid as the newest member. But I mean, it
could be a different way to bring in someone new
to the company.
Speaker 3 (06:54):
Or or what I mean.
Speaker 2 (06:56):
I guess I really have no idea, but I think
I think, I think Laney Reid is it's like the
name that I am kind of zeroing in on. But
for the rest of the show, Blaine, uh for minus
the main event? Uh, what was your take on the
whole show?
Speaker 4 (07:15):
I think I thought it was It was a good show.
Speaker 7 (07:17):
I honestly think it was better than uh Russell for Loser,
if you asked me, I didn't think Uh Monroe had
that that meat streaking blake whoever, she she did good.
She Uh that's what we wanted to I think I
can't believe about saying this, but that's what we wanted
to see when she.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Was in n XT.
Speaker 7 (07:36):
But I don't know, it just it didn't come out.
But now it's out and uh, not a.
Speaker 4 (07:42):
W but n x C. I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (07:44):
But other than that, it was a great match. Javan Evans,
he's got a got the rocket ship on his back.
He just gotta gotta take him to the next level.
Speaker 2 (07:57):
Agree javan Evans, I feel like he's that next big
star in NXT. Being with what we're going to talk
about in a second, I think I think he is
that next big star. I think who could take on
something in NXT. With Ricky Saints winning the title, I
think he could be next due up for some sort
of championship.
Speaker 3 (08:17):
North American NXT whatever.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Justin said, if they were just going to add a
new member, I don't understand the weeks of teasing the
Fatal Influence split. I don't understand it either. But the
Jasmine Nicks departure came out of nowhere, being that they
just you know, she saw they saw her backstage, you know, attacked,
and they said, oh, well, we're gonna get rid of
her anyway. And then it was like news reported like
right after that her contract was was up with the company.
(08:44):
She wasn't you know, interested in resigning, and I don't
even know she's gonna wrestle anymore.
Speaker 3 (08:49):
It's like she just lost her passion for it right away.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
So yeah, I mean, like I said, that's the only
name I could really see is Laney Reid, being that
she was supposed to be in that speed match and
she was out of it and now she could be
in Fatal Influence, which I don't I don't. I don't
really like it. But the rest of the show, Yeah,
Javon Evans is fantastic, Soul Ruka and Jada Parker. I
(09:15):
wish it was for the North American Championship. Being that,
I feel like we would have got a way better
match out of it. But it was a speed match,
so it was only five minute time limit because it
was for a title. Jordan Grace and Blake Monroe delivered
as expected. Blake Monroe, this was honestly the best I've
(09:36):
seen her. Jordan Grace. I'm sure at some point she'll
be main roster bound. I don't really think she needed
to be an NXT really at all. She could have
been one of those ones that she signed on and
went straight to the main roster. Ethan Page, I find
he is one of the best signings for NXT in
(09:56):
a very long time, and he has proven it with
character work, with rest work. I just see him as
a total package. I don't see him losing that title
anytime soon. And yeah, the j C. Jane match, it
ended very confusing because we're all still trying to figure
out who that person was.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
But I agree with Jordan.
Speaker 2 (10:12):
I think Olvi should have won for sure, because she
has had her opportunity time and time again and she
hasn't won it. But yeah, I mean it was a
great show. Like to get to the main event, it
was a great show for NXT.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
It was.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
It was a really good show, you know, I find
it was great. But let's get to the main event. Jordan,
you could pop the next one up. And obviously we
saw Ricky Saints. He defeated Oba Fami. Oba Family held
the NXT title for I think two hundred and seventy
something plus days to eighty whatever, close to three hundred.
And I said that he was gonna be someone who
(10:53):
was given that Oscar treatment. I didn't think he was
gonna drop it at all. And I was shocked that
they pulled the trigger on Ricky Saints.
Speaker 3 (11:01):
I was happy they did.
Speaker 2 (11:02):
It's the only good thing that came out of New
Orleans this weekend, being with the Saints losing and whatnot.
But yeah, that was like, yeah, that was really good.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
I was.
Speaker 2 (11:11):
I was surprised the way he won multiple Tornado DDT's
was was what took out Oba Famy of all people
that surprised me. That was the biggest surprise is that
it took a Tornado DDT to be Oba Fami. So
so I got a three party question for the both
of the and I'll answer it as well. After Uh,
(11:33):
for one, what did you think about the match?
Speaker 4 (11:35):
Right?
Speaker 2 (11:36):
With Ricky Saints and Oba Fami. Then the question right
here is the main roster bound And if your answer
is yes, then how do you debut him on the
main roster. I'll started blaming on this one great match.
Speaker 7 (11:51):
I liked the I like the tornado the DDT on
the table to kind of soften them up.
Speaker 4 (11:57):
And then he took all those uh tornado ddts and
the ring. What was it? I'm sorry, Oh.
Speaker 7 (12:06):
Yes, yeah, he's mad, and I think you have to
you have to put him against the biggest name just
to get him out there. So is a moment if
you keep going, you can't have shooting with like h
t zaol and something like that. You have to give
him a big name to start off the bet, all right, Jordan.
Speaker 5 (12:30):
Oh yeah, it was a great match.
Speaker 6 (12:33):
I was happy that Ricky Saint swan and oh yeah,
I think yeah, like Blank said, don't put him against
like anybody small, like put him against somebody like pretty
good and big and stuff.
Speaker 2 (12:48):
All right, Yeah, the match was great. Like I said,
the tornado ddts is what kind of caught me for
a loop, because you know, someone as big as Oba Fami,
I didn't think that was gonna take come out. But honestly,
the match was great. It was executed perfectly to pass
that torch to Ricky Saints. And and then of course
(13:10):
the moment, you know, Ricky Saints won the title. Uh,
the iw C blowing up saying Tony fumble, Tony fumbled, whatnot?
Keeping Ricky Saints and catering doing nothing. He goes to
NXT and he already wins the North American title, and uh,
did you win a North American title?
Speaker 4 (13:29):
Yeah? You did?
Speaker 3 (13:30):
Okay, okay.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
I about to say, yeah, that's true, that's true, that's true.
And of course now he's an NXT champion. But then
of course you have the people in the IWC saying, oh,
you have a thirty five year old superstar winning NXT's
world title. I say, look at everyone else's won the
(13:51):
NXT title. We had Bobby Rude winning it like in
his late thirties. You had Samoa Joe winning it, Adam
Cole winning it. Yeah, yeah, I mean so it's just
it's just it's just pointing fingers, you know, trying to
be picky and and whatnot. But I thought it was great.
It was a great match. It was a great way
to take the title off of Oba fame, and yes,
(14:14):
I I will answer the next one saying, yes he
is Maine roster bound, but how soon is he Maine
or Aster bound is my question. If you're gonna do
it right away, then I agree with the both of you.
You got to put him against someone that's big, put
him against the best of the best already to keep
that momentum for Oba Fami going. If you're gonna wait
a little bit to debut him, then we've been on
(14:36):
a conversation for weeks about who could be potentially Johnsen's
final opponent. I affirmed that Johnsen is not gonna He's
not gonna win his final match because the last person
who really.
Speaker 7 (14:52):
I was gonna say, if you think about it, nobody
when they retired, when was their last match? They always
take They always take a l whoever beat him?
Speaker 2 (15:03):
Yeah, because because I look on on social media and
you're like, oh, well, Seen is obviously gonna win his
last match. Honestly, who has won their retirement match other
than Sting And that was an ae W when he
teamed with Darby Allen. So it's not really it's not
really saying, well, ell what everyone wins there? No, they don't.
(15:24):
The last person that in in recent memory that has
had a retirement match against someone they didn't have a
retirement tour, but they had a retirement match was Kurt
Angle at WrestleMania against Baron Corbyn and of course everyone
and he lost. Yeah, I don't do so for what.
I don't think John Cena is gonna win his final match. Now,
granted it's at Saturday Night's main event. I think that's
(15:45):
I think it's silly. It should be at a issue
out a p l E.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
But if but.
Speaker 2 (15:51):
I have, I have narrowed down his final opponent to
like fucking four people. Probably I got one obviously the
name I mean, I just brought up Oba family Dan
if you can't and I know the rumors, even though
it's probably not gonna happen, but Edge.
Speaker 4 (16:13):
That's my one.
Speaker 2 (16:16):
Oh my god, that would be fantastic. I would take
that over anything.
Speaker 4 (16:19):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:20):
But if if the rumors of the confrontation are true
at Survivor Series, it could be The Rock.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
I read that too. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:30):
If a confrontation is gonna happen at at A at
A that's a virus series in San Diego, it could
be The Rock. Now do you put Rock Sena on
Saturday Night's main event.
Speaker 3 (16:45):
No, I think that's awful. I think that's awful.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
It should be a free show.
Speaker 2 (16:51):
The thing is for me. And I'll kind of go
back to what my brother was talking about that little
scenario he gave, like the match happened Sirenise may event
whoever he goes against, but then the Rock was the
one who he sold his soul to, So he's basically
saying that you can't retire until you face me, and
it happens at Mania.
Speaker 3 (17:12):
So yeah, the retirement tour is done, siren Kise.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
Main event's over, but that final match isn't happening until WrestleMania.
Speaker 3 (17:21):
I don't know. That's just a scenario that I can
see happening.
Speaker 7 (17:24):
I don't know, but I would have I would believe
that until I see the post today with Triple A
saying the last date for yeah seeing them is that
Saturny's main event today, So which I I don't know
if that's gonna beed the case, but that was a
good That was a good.
Speaker 2 (17:40):
Job by your brotherident Yeah, and then of course you
see the losers on social media saying, oh well, the
Shield got their own their own type of pay per
view for their last thing before Max went to aew
and whatnot. And then someone was was correct on the
internet that replied back to them. They said it was
an hour long special from a house show, so it
(18:02):
wasn't a pay per view or nothing. But then they
wrote back they said, well it was behind a paywall,
so you still so it will still considered a pay
per view And they said, Saturday Night's main event is
behind a paywall. It's on Peacock. So that really shut
him up right there. That just shows you how how
idiotic the people in the iw C are. But I
(18:25):
would love to see skuys like like like Oba Fami
or the Rock or Edge. For me, Edge would be
my top guy to face.
Speaker 4 (18:34):
Well, isn't it's contract up.
Speaker 2 (18:38):
That I don't know? I'm seeing a.
Speaker 7 (18:41):
Contract is up maybe within the next few weeks or
something like that. And then I don't get the the
the segment the backstay saying with him and Chris is
talking about I would be gone for a while. I
don't know if I'm coming back. I'm like that sounded
like a dad give here right there.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
Yeah, that caught me for a loop right there. I
really don't know because they're just randomly backstage, and so
I'm not sure if I'm coming back, Like, what are
you indicating.
Speaker 4 (19:09):
They don't see them?
Speaker 2 (19:11):
That would be that would be amazing.
Speaker 4 (19:13):
God.
Speaker 2 (19:13):
I hope that happens, but I'm not. But I'm not
gonna get my hopes up too much because I've been
let down so much when I have my hopes up
for something and it was something stupid that happens.
Speaker 7 (19:23):
And what if it's a double retirement, they both they
both go right off into the sunset.
Speaker 2 (19:29):
Yeah, I mean I can see that happening.
Speaker 4 (19:32):
Edge ain't got too many matches left on his boot.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
No, No he doesn't, because I mean he could be.
I think he could still be in w He could
be wrestling some of the best of the best right now.
But of course he went to a W to go
to go wrestle Nick Wayne and and uh Ship that's
whoever the fuck they got over there.
Speaker 3 (19:53):
Bullshit.
Speaker 4 (19:54):
I don't think Christian ever going back to a WW,
So I think that's why he went.
Speaker 2 (19:58):
Probably, so that's the only that's the only main reason
I could see Edge going to a W.
Speaker 3 (20:03):
It was just to go work with Christian one more time.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
M hm, because he's because really, I don't feel like
Edge has anything else to do in a w Like
he's not gonna win a world title there, he's not
gonna he's not gonna do anything really over there. Yeah,
I think it's times done. So yeah, so go Russell,
see it one more time. I let it happen. So
(20:28):
moving on to this past Friday, I'm pretty sure. I'm
suretty sure everyone saw it. My god, the oh, my god, Lane,
please tell me you saw everything that happened Friday.
Speaker 4 (20:42):
I saw it.
Speaker 2 (20:46):
Where do I begin that? So it it all began
when Naya Jack she threw Jade car Get onto the
still steps. I don't know who that's on. If it's
on Naya, if it's on j for not for not
covering herself. But Jade had a pretty big cut on
her face from it.
Speaker 4 (21:06):
For I saw that she was across the eyebrow.
Speaker 2 (21:10):
That was Yeah, that was ugly, But I don't know
who that was on. Of course, everyone's blaming Naya Jacks
with her with her previous history of hurting people and whatnot,
but it's also in Jade for not blocking herself. So
that right there is, you know, is kind of an issue.
(21:31):
For both, but I feel like, you know, Jade should
have blocked herself. But then the whole, the whole pinfall
when the ref just basically stopped the count when no
one kicked out.
Speaker 7 (21:41):
Everybody was blaming the riff for I don't think she
was doing a job saving the match.
Speaker 2 (21:47):
Yeah, but for me the referee, they're always taught to
count the three no matter what, and she just stopped
the count when no one kicked out.
Speaker 3 (21:55):
That's ugly.
Speaker 2 (21:59):
And the sad part is nothing was addressed by anybody,
like just let it happen and and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
So what it was? So what do y'all think about this?
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Like this whole whole big mess that happened on SmackDown
from the from the still steps instant with Jade and
Nyah to the to the stop pin and then eventually
it led a Tiffany retaining her title regardless. So Jordan,
I'll start with you on this. I'm sure you saw everything.
It was ugly.
Speaker 3 (22:28):
Yeah, what do you think about it?
Speaker 4 (22:32):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (22:33):
Yeah, yeah, but yeah that was a bad thing on
her forehead and yeah, I think it probably should be
on Jade because she didn't cover herself and with the
stop count. Yeah, maybe she might have got some heat
in the back.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
Yeah, the refs are taught to count to three no
matter what, and and when everyone's attacking the referee, which
which I'm not for online harassment for anyone going after
this referee for this and that. Everyone makes mistakes, so
I'm not want to fault anybody for anything. You know,
(23:13):
she'll learn from it. She's a pro. I've seen her
in big matches before.
Speaker 3 (23:19):
She'll be all right.
Speaker 2 (23:21):
But I'm seeing video surfacing on the Internet of of
refs having to do a three count whenever that winner
was supposed to happen. I saw one from an NXT
takeover years ago when when Emma she was going against
I think, I think Becky and I think whoever, and
she ended up winning when she wasn't supposed to win.
(23:42):
And but the ref is taught to count. Ivan says
bach Mania running a wild It's yeah, I agree. Ryan
says that Charles Robinson an interview recently said counting is
no longer a shoot. They're basically told to stop to
count now. Always sat on the Cris Van each show.
That's awful.
Speaker 3 (24:04):
That's awful.
Speaker 4 (24:07):
Yeah, I hate that.
Speaker 2 (24:08):
I hate that.
Speaker 4 (24:10):
Yeah, I did. I think it was just a bad
uh overall. I haven't seen the match.
Speaker 7 (24:16):
I only seen like the last seconds going going up
into that that moment there, but that was just bad.
I don't I think it was Jame's fault. She should
have just did something to help out with that situation.
Speaker 2 (24:30):
In my opinion, they said they were told to get
the proper finish, and.
Speaker 3 (24:38):
Yeah, I can.
Speaker 7 (24:38):
Get it, I get it, but you gotta you gotta
save the credibility of the match for sure.
Speaker 2 (24:44):
Yeah, I mean so, so I feel like it's kind
of pretty much on everybody for that false finish.
Speaker 3 (24:50):
It's under ref for not counting the three.
Speaker 2 (24:52):
Even though I mean, if if what Ryan says with
Charles Robinson saying that they're basically told stop their own
count and it was on someone for not breaking up
the pen when it should have happened. I even said,
remember the producers on the ref's ears, but oh man,
I can imagine they were just going in on on
(25:14):
that reft there in the match.
Speaker 7 (25:15):
But yeah, but if you if you watch the documentary
on Netflix, they said there's about five different people in
their ear, so they probably didn't hear that whatever.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
They probably had multiple people talking there once.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
And the do the main The main takeaway I took
from that that Netflix thing is that Bruce Pritchard is
an asshole. I can't oh my god. And it's the
whole thing with that finished with the Punk Rollins match,
when uh, who was it? It was it was a
byst that was producing it and they were trying to
finish it so they can end the show, and Bruce
(25:49):
Pritcher was just on them the whole time. I hate
the fucking guy.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
Yeah, ago, Yeah, that's a bit. I forgot his real name.
Speaker 6 (26:01):
Was it with Joseph Parks or something out.
Speaker 2 (26:07):
Yep, And and and I even just spoken into existence,
fuck it, just playing both. Richard Ryan said, feels like
the ref said to go home. That's why Nia Jacks
didn't kick out. It seems like the waters got crossed.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
Yeah, definitely.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
I think I think I think everyone was at fault
for this, you know, for not breaking the pin up,
for basically stopping to count on live television.
Speaker 1 (26:27):
You know.
Speaker 2 (26:28):
This ain't the old tape smackdowns to where you can
do a takeover again. No, this happened in front of everybody,
live television, and there's been no explanation for it, and
it's just ugly.
Speaker 3 (26:38):
It's all ugly, man. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
It's something I don't like, and yeah, they they didn't
address it, and I don't think they're going to address it.
It's it's just gonna it's you know, just basically what
it is now, and that's it. Moving on to last night,
we all thought a title change was happening, but it
(27:01):
did not once again, and Dominic is still the Intercontinental
Champion after defeating Russive after a low blow while the
referee was not looking and ended up and winning after
getting a roll up. So first things first, what do
you think? I know, I know Blaine's thoughts already, but
I let him go first on this. On Blaine, what
(27:22):
do you think about the match itself? You know, dom
retaining the icy title and really, at this point, who
is going to be the man that dethrones him? Because
we thought it was a j it wasn't. I could
see it being Russive, it wasn't. So who's actually dethroning
this guy?
Speaker 4 (27:39):
Oh my god, I don't know this is this is
getting out of hands.
Speaker 7 (27:42):
He gave he gave him the triple A heavyweight title
or whatever title that is, and he still got him
holding the icy title for what we all know, he's
white hot. You put you put the rockets trap on
him for Triple A, but you still got him as
the main cor champion at WW So it's basically they
contradicting himself. Like they really don't know what to do
(28:03):
with them if you ask me, Like you put them
on the Man on one show, and then now he's
made level on another show. So like you got to
figure something out if you want him to be the
Triple A champ or the actually title the champ one
of them, got one of them gotta go.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
I think the actually chamnan need to go.
Speaker 2 (28:22):
So who's gonna be the one to actually dethrown them?
You know, is there anyone on the raw roster that
you think could be a suitable name to take him down?
Speaker 7 (28:29):
But you think, you know what, I think you're really
gonna take it in trivile age. Uh yeah, I guess trivilege.
They're so fucked up in the head. I think it's
gonna be Americana is gonna take the title.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
From honestly happening.
Speaker 4 (28:45):
I know, well, but we wouldn't expect it.
Speaker 7 (28:48):
We were thinking, like like you said, the a j
or Russeph or maybe Finn might take it off of him,
but I think American is gonna take it off for.
Speaker 2 (28:59):
I gotta say, I hate that, by the way, and
it's it's not the El Grande Americano character I hate
right now because I think Kaiser is killing it as
that character. But I hate what they're doing with Pete
Dunn and Tyler Bait right now. Dude, you have them
could be a potential great tag team or a single
star and now they're dressing up as Lucha doors.
Speaker 3 (29:18):
What are you doing with these guys?
Speaker 4 (29:21):
Cater?
Speaker 2 (29:23):
I mean, yeah, I can agree to an extent, but
I mean they have because the raw tag team division
is dying right now, and you could have them as
their actual selves and you're not.
Speaker 4 (29:38):
Yeah, I don't get that either. Man. I don't know
what they're doing.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Yeah, I mean they wrestled last night. I forgot their names. Uh,
I think Bravo and Ryo or something like that. What
the fuck are you doing these guys? Man?
Speaker 4 (29:58):
It sounds like they have U street fighter characters.
Speaker 3 (30:02):
Does God damn?
Speaker 2 (30:04):
But Jordan, what'd you think about the match with with
with Russve going down to dom and actually who is
the one that's gonna take the title off of dom.
Speaker 5 (30:14):
Yeah, they he should keep the Trip Trip Trip a belt,
and uh yeah.
Speaker 6 (30:22):
They need to take that Icy title, And I think
I agree with Blaine probably one of the.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
Yeah, I mean, the match was good. I thought Russive
was gonna take it off of him because if a
J wasn't gonna do it, if you want to build
Russive up to beat this dominant character, then I thought
they were gonna put the title on him if he
didn't have uh, if he didn't have less dates left,
I would have said Sena would have took it off
(30:51):
of him, because Sina's never won the Icy title, and
that would.
Speaker 3 (30:55):
Make him a Grand Slam champion, which he's not exactly.
Speaker 2 (30:59):
He's the greatest of the time, seventeen time world champion,
but he's never held the innercind Of title, which I
think is wild. But he doesn't have any dates left
and it makes absolutely zero sense for him to win
that title. So yeah, I mean, I could see ol
Grande Americano taking it. I would love if a J
(31:20):
still took it off of him, but there's no really
scenario for him to take it, being that he's wrestling
John Cena, a crown jewel. Yeah, I really don't know,
you know.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
I think I think take it off of Americana, one
of those three.
Speaker 2 (31:36):
Yeah, I mean yeah, I say, because Dom's on his
way out of the judgment day at some point, you know,
he's gonna go on his own sooner or later.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
They're gonna turn on him at some point.
Speaker 4 (31:47):
It's his dad want to come for a safe Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:51):
But I but I think I wouldn't love if they
turned Dom face again and you know, change the character
and whatnot.
Speaker 3 (31:57):
I think he's doing good what he's doing.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
Right now, one more time retire.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
Yeah, I could see it as well. But yeah, I
think they kind of backed themselves into a corner. And
I just realized the picture that I put, is that
the actual intercondent titles, that the world title, the title.
Motherfucker got that got that. I made this picture, And
all of a sudden, it's him with the world title.
Speaker 7 (32:25):
This whole time, I was gonna say, it looks like
it's the big goal over your right shoulder.
Speaker 2 (32:31):
Yeah, yeah, okay, well yeah I could I could see
it being like someone like a Grande Americano or something.
I think they're trying to back themselves into a corner
by not putting it on a j or on Russive,
someone who could have gone out and do something with it,
while Dom focuses more on the Triple A title. But
(32:54):
I think and they're bad with booking with champions that
they backed themselves into We're a design se title. So
now we're going to close out our our final Top
week with Blaine's favorite show of all time. Ad W
is celebrating its sixty year anniversary of Dynamite tomorrow, and
(33:15):
I actually have the card for tomorrow.
Speaker 3 (33:18):
Up, Jordan.
Speaker 2 (33:19):
If we pop it up, it's not a terrible card.
Tony Storm is going to be on the show. Jurassic
Express is making their return with Uncle Boy and Lucisaurus
reving a TNT title match with Kyle Fletcher and Orange Cassidy.
Josh Alexander and the Bucks are taken on Kenny Omega
(33:40):
and Brodido. Darby Allen and Chris Atlin are taking on
Willer Uda and Marina Shaffir, John Moxley, Daniel Garcia and
Claudio Castanoli taken on Hang Madam Paige, Powerhouse Hobbs, and
Samoa Shoe.
Speaker 3 (33:53):
So looking at the card of Jordan.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
I'll start with you, even though we can't see you
since the thing has overtaken your face. What do you
think about this card? I mean, do you think that
this is a suitable card for a six year show?
And yes, I'm starting off with you, and they're weed
eating outside, so I'll start with.
Speaker 4 (34:10):
You on.
Speaker 7 (34:14):
How can you have a six year university without MJF
So I think I think they missed the point right there.
I think he should be on it. I like the
Jurassic Express reunion. Other than that, everything else is this
is a mid card if.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
You ask me.
Speaker 2 (34:35):
Yeah, the only title match, and I think that should
have been maybe one more title match him for an
actual six year show. And he just have a tnc
title match with a Fletcher and Orange Cassidy Bush, which was, uh,
do you see Orange Castley taking the title off of
Con Fletcher?
Speaker 4 (34:54):
No?
Speaker 7 (34:55):
No, I kind of pay attention to the show even
though I don't like it. But I think Kyle Finch's
going to hold onto him for a little longer.
Speaker 2 (35:06):
Yeah, because the last Wednesday was the first time and
I can't remember the last time I watched the entire
episode of Dynamites, and I am just as stunned as
you are.
Speaker 3 (35:17):
I watched the whole show.
Speaker 2 (35:20):
And it was not that bad. It ended very good,
with christat Lender winning over over Amina Sherik Howitz retained
the old women's title and she had to make her
decision if she was going to join the Death Riders.
Speaker 3 (35:33):
She closed line willer you to.
Speaker 2 (35:36):
She gave the big middle finger to John Moxley, and
then she went into the crowd gave the middle finger
once again, with Harley Cameron by her side and Darby
Allen doing Darby Allen things, coming out with a fucking flamethrower.
Uh he uh knocked John Moxlay on his ass because
he tripped over the uh the steps, which I think
(35:56):
that was a legit fall. I don't think he was
playing it. I think he legit fell on them steps,
which was which was pretty cool. But yeah, I'm not
a big fan of Darby Allen. I think I think
this guy is gonna be in a wheel chair before
he's forty. The way he's taken falls.
Speaker 4 (36:11):
He's a t B.
Speaker 3 (36:12):
Jim Hardy, Yeah, he has Jordan. You ready to come
back to us?
Speaker 5 (36:20):
Yeah, they're still doing it. I'm sorry, but uh they Yeah, I'm.
Speaker 6 (36:24):
Ready for Dracus Express and of course yeah and uh yeah,
the match card looks all right, and I'll be watching
like Blaine be watching, and I.
Speaker 2 (36:35):
Hope Blaine's gonna be a gonna be watching Blaine.
Speaker 4 (36:39):
That's the negative, sir. I'll check the highlights.
Speaker 2 (36:45):
I watch it. I mean, I have other shows I
watch on Wednesdays, but I'll probably have a w like
like on my iPad or something.
Speaker 4 (36:51):
Now, about to miss both of your heads up. Uh,
next month they'll be in New Orleans.
Speaker 7 (37:00):
My buddy asked me to go with him, So I'm
thinking about going to Donald White in New Orleans next month.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
Holy ship. Yeah it's not snow.
Speaker 4 (37:11):
You might want to get a lot of your ticket.
Speaker 2 (37:14):
I'm after Wow, I.
Speaker 4 (37:19):
Haven't been at a W man. I've been. I've been
meaning to go with him as just I haven't. I
guess I check it out since it's in New Orleans.
Speaker 2 (37:26):
I went to their first show, Jordan and I, Ryan
and Marcus went to their first show when they had
like see him Punk There, Panta and whatnot. It a
good show, but it has changed so much since that show.
Speaker 4 (37:42):
That's my dad. Everybody else rocks is it is.
Speaker 2 (37:48):
That's the only reason why m j F is not there.
Is he maybe finally taking his honeymoon because I know
he just got married, So honeymoon because because I know
he got married and then he went to a bunch
of shows like he was on Dynamite. He like, he
did a bunch of shows I did, like indie shows,
(38:08):
and I think he worked with CMLL and all that.
So yeah, I think he's finally taking a honeymoon. So
that's probably why he's not on the sixth year show.
But man, to not have MJF on a six year
show is not great in my opinion. I think he
should be there, and I'm not saying I'm not saying
he potentially won't be there.
Speaker 3 (38:28):
I know they had this card.
Speaker 2 (38:30):
Jordan kind of told me someone's gonna be there who
might spoil the show for me a little bit.
Speaker 3 (38:35):
If you know who I'm talking about.
Speaker 4 (38:37):
Oh yeah, hey, if she didn't I take a picture
when he sent it to you, God damn it.
Speaker 2 (38:48):
I really she wasn't on the show last week, and
I think that's why I enjoyed it so much.
Speaker 7 (38:54):
I just want to I'm going there. I just want
to see HIMJF. And I know it's a long shot.
But Adam Cole, it's my two favorite a W.
Speaker 2 (39:03):
It's not some Adam Cole was on an a W
show and this is this is a genuine question because
I haven't watched Dina my other than last week, so
I don't know if he was on any other past shows.
I don't know, Okay, oh.
Speaker 5 (39:19):
Banel banel uh, I don't even remember either.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
He may be hurt.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Oh yeah, no, I know. He announced that whatever pay
per view it was was it either was it all
in or something that he's going to be out for
a while, because we thought it was maybe like a
retirement or something.
Speaker 5 (39:44):
And that's true.
Speaker 4 (39:46):
It bent Baker broke up with him. He's just been
haven't been the.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
Same since he left, since he left n x T,
he hasn't been the same. Yeah, and that's sad because
he got I.
Speaker 4 (40:00):
Had a good run with JF. I was pleased with that.
I was pleased with that run.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Yet, Yeah, the run with MJF was really fun.
Speaker 2 (40:08):
The angle when he turned on MJF could have been
done so much better. It had so much potential and
it went to zero. I I love how the executed it,
but I hate how it ended. Could have went to nothing.
Of him turning on his best friend in MJF. He
(40:28):
was the one with the devil mask. But he really
couldn't do nothing because he was hurt. And that was
the worst part about it. He was hurt because they
had to set him up in the chair because he
he had hurt his ankle because he came out for
the save for MJF. He jumped off the ramp and
that's how he heard his ankle. So that kind of
(40:49):
screwed up the storyline right there. So guys like like
uh like uh, it was Matt Taven and Bennett's ward
Low Roddy and all that they had to carry the
load basically why Adam Cole couldn't do anything. But other
than that, no, I mean his his AW run hasn't
(41:10):
been great. And honestly, they were in Pittsburgh last week
and the first five seconds of the show they had
a Britt Baker sign.
Speaker 3 (41:20):
I thought she was.
Speaker 2 (41:20):
Possitively gonna be there. Yep, AW put out a video
like I believe so because AW put out a video
with highlights from her match with thunder Rosa. So if
they're gonna put like some highlights of a match with her,
I would assume she's still under under contract. But I mean,
(41:46):
if she is and she's healthy, you got to do
something with her.
Speaker 3 (41:48):
I mean, what are you doing.
Speaker 2 (41:49):
You're not having Britt Baker. Of all people on the show,
Tim said, yes, it was surprised she wasn't there. I'm
also surprised because I I think Tim, like a told you,
it was my first line watching Dynamite and Forever, and
I was expecting Brett Baker being that they were in Pittsburgh,
none at all. And if she wasn't gonna be there,
(42:10):
or if she wasn't supposed to be there, then you
would think a Britt Baker sign would have got confiscated.
They are very very strict on signs nowadays. In the
first five seconds of the show to show a brit
Baker sign, so I thought she was a shoe wind
to come back and she wasn't. So that really really
confused me right there. But overall, I think the six
year show is going to be decent. I think they
(42:32):
could have did a little better on the card. Kenny
Omega is coming back. He has been out for a
little bit. I would have loved to see maybe a
singles match for him, But is he is he that
ready to come back to where he could do a
singles match?
Speaker 4 (42:48):
Maybe?
Speaker 2 (42:48):
Wats why they're putting him with Bandido and Brodie King. Uh,
you got Blaine's favorite tag team in this, one of
the young bucks. But I have but honestly, for what
a Swerve is a decent card. I am looking forward
to seeing Jurassic Express. That's probably the main thing I'm
(43:08):
looking forward to.
Speaker 1 (43:10):
Uh.
Speaker 2 (43:10):
The Jack Perry run was in hindsight if you look
at it, of a failure, because what did it?
Speaker 4 (43:18):
What did it do?
Speaker 2 (43:20):
It did nothing? Hey, that's why they put him back.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
Yeah, six years either.
Speaker 2 (43:28):
I think him and Osprey is out right now with injury.
Osprey just had surgery a little while ago. And because
that was their way of riding them off. I think
when their last show, Swerve and Osprey Boat were written off,
which is wild.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
You're losing Osprey and Serve.
Speaker 2 (43:51):
Yeah, and then and then and then I know, I
said Saturday, I was gonna watch Collision.
Speaker 3 (43:55):
I did not watch Collision.
Speaker 2 (43:57):
I don't know, And it's honestly a good thing I
didn't watch it is from what I saw, it wasn't fantastic.
It seems like it seemed like Collision is almost like
a revamped Ring of Honor. There's a lot of Ring
of Honor people. Uh, there's no really huge names on
Collision because I guess people don't want to work Collision.
Speaker 6 (44:18):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (44:18):
Yeah, it wasn't fantastic, so it's probably.
Speaker 2 (44:20):
A good thing I didn't watch it.
Speaker 3 (44:21):
But yeah, I mean, I'll have it up.
Speaker 2 (44:25):
Like I said, I got other shows i'll watch on Wednesdays.
I got Survivor and and all that I watched on
I read. Yeah, I got I got other shows that
prioritize over over aw, but I'll have it up on
my iPad off to the corner.
Speaker 3 (44:43):
I probably miss a bunch of stuff and whatnot.
Speaker 2 (44:47):
But for what it's worth, it's a decent card. I'll
watch it. I'm looking forward to it. For a six
year show, you got to bring out something, uh before
you got to bring out the big guns. Hopefully they
do something big four or six year show. But I'll
watch it and whatnot. But that's all I got for
today's show. Guys, do you got anything y'all want to
bring up before we get out of here?
Speaker 7 (45:10):
I just I don't know if y'all we talked about
it last week. I'll remember what about that bump that
Corey Graves to broad lesh.
Speaker 2 (45:19):
Yeah, I mean that should be that should be like
a sense that Corey Graves is cleared for entering competition.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
Well, I forget to take a bump.
Speaker 7 (45:31):
Later said I read that he's cleared, but he had
no interest in wrestling it again.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
I mean, I can I can see why. I mean,
he's doing good on commentary. Why mess it up to
come back to wrestle. I mean, I would love to
see him in the ring one more time before it's.
Speaker 3 (45:48):
All done with.
Speaker 2 (45:49):
But I think he's a great commentator and if you
want to keep doing that, keep doing it. But yeah, man,
he took a hell of a bump. Holy ship, dude,
Lezard has flung him up.
Speaker 3 (45:58):
Dude, that.
Speaker 4 (46:01):
Of the full time guys. Bumps.
Speaker 2 (46:04):
Yeah, sit Grave man, that was crazy. But Jordan, you
got anything else you want to bring up?
Speaker 5 (46:13):
Oh? Well, they finally finished. I think I don't hear
it no more.
Speaker 4 (46:16):
So uh.
Speaker 5 (46:19):
Uh Yeah that was a yea, that was a bad
bump from him.
Speaker 3 (46:22):
But a good book, Yeah, a good bak Yeah, I
mean good yeah.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
I mean, I mean the thing is, people can say
what they want about Lesnar. He protects people on a
F five And that's something I've noticed about brock Leaser.
He holds you all the way down and except if
you're and I don't know if you've ever seen the
video resurfaced a while back, uh, Lesnar a.
Speaker 3 (46:44):
Long time ago.
Speaker 2 (46:45):
It was it was him and Shannon Moore when Shannon
Moore was with with Matt Hardy. He flung Shannon Moore
out the ring. Hardy didn't catch him for one and
then he brought him back in the ring and it's
like he was spinding in circles and then he f
fived and while he was doing it.
Speaker 3 (47:01):
That was nuts, dude.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Wow. But yeah, some things you can say what you
want about Lesnar, And I know he's a big topic
of discussion for other things and I and I still
hate to d up you see for still bringing that up,
but I mean you can say what you want. He's
he's he's an excellent worker and he protects people all
while he wrestles.
Speaker 4 (47:21):
So he's still but he's excellent working.
Speaker 2 (47:24):
Right exactly, Jordan, got anything else you want to bring
up before we got here? I don't think so.
Speaker 5 (47:31):
Good show.
Speaker 2 (47:33):
Yeah, absolutely, well that'll do it for this livestream. Edition
