Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hey, everybody, it's another What the Frick Live Friday Night.
I am your host, Emily Saicly have my awesome, amazing
co host Will Martinez here. How are you doing, Will?
Speaker 2 (00:11):
Good? Good evening, good evening, good evening.
Speaker 1 (00:14):
I'm doing good. Now listen we go live and you
start cutting out again.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
I don't know. I don't know what's going on.
Speaker 1 (00:21):
I was doing fine. I was doing fine a little ago.
But anyway, maybe maybe you're in. You'll work yourself out eventually.
That's how I thought. That's how I thought Max's husband
would be, but that never happened. David says, Hi, guys,
so David's watching.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
Hi David, David knows about the ex husband.
Speaker 1 (00:43):
He never worked himself out. So anyway, Will we had
you had a pretty big week, I think personally this
week on your Dark Friend Radio page with your watch
party because it was my favorite movie of all times,
Monsters Squaw.
Speaker 2 (01:01):
Squad.
Speaker 4 (01:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
What I've been doing lately is I started. This is
my first Wednesday and I'm doing a watch party. And
what I'm doing is every Wednesday at nine pm, I'm
doing a just a very different horror movie every week.
So this week was sponsor squad and a lot of
people joined in and was on and it was great.
We all watched the movie together and all had commentary.
(01:24):
We're joking and laughing about an old nineteen eighties horror comedy,
which was great.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Oh it's the best show ever. I love that show.
I had the Stephen King Rules shirt from that show.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Oh yeah, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
You would always think Stephen King would have something to
do with that movie from it's I don't think he did.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
He didn't, did he No? I know, I don't know.
I'm not sure if he did or no.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
So anyway, we'll also it's podcast month on What the
Freak Labs, So all of our guests have podcasts and
stuff this month that are introducing and interviewing. So Will
has Dark Friends Radio that talks more about conspiracy theories.
He just now came out with a new podcast this
past week. Also, Will you want to talk a little
bit about that too.
Speaker 2 (02:13):
It's just a quick episode that we did regarding subliminal
advertising and messaging. So like, you know, you know, things
that we see every day, you know some of the
you know, subliminal messages that are there that you just
don't know about. Some are just you know, you know,
of course, just very harmless, but then there are some
nefarious ones out there, so we talk about all those
in between. It's pretty interesting.
Speaker 1 (02:33):
Are you talking about Disney maybe movies.
Speaker 4 (02:37):
Like this in Disney?
Speaker 2 (02:41):
Yes, we talked about the King and his phallic Uh yeah,
that and a lot of the Disney folklore and the
Walt Disney signed itself. The signature. Yeah, they talk about
there's house a six six signature. So a lot of things. Yeah,
things in there.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Well, please check out Dark Fringe Radio www. Dot doc
Fringe Radio dot WordPress dot com. Also, we're still needing
subscribers for Paranormal Warehouse. It's only four ninety nine a month.
You'll get exclusive TV shows or interviews, live investigations, readings,
all that fun stuff, and it's still super cheap. Like
I said last week, it's uh, it feels like I'm
(03:22):
on the black market New York. Five dollar five dolla.
H Scott. I can't say his last thing kind of
it reminds me of Babylon, but it says big fan.
So I'm hoping that's with uh Dark Fringe, but it
(03:42):
might be for our guests getting ready to come on.
We actually we got We're a little bit surprised because
actually it's kind of blessing. We get two people on,
David and Damon, and we were we were talking before
the show, and they're really funny guys. I was like,
I'm made sure it wasn't demon y'all. We don't have
that Vegan show going. These two people, Yeah, they're they're great,
(04:06):
They're hilarious. They they form Lexington Paranormal Research Society. They
have a podcast also, l p r S After Dark.
They their mission and I got this off their Facebook page.
Their mission is to provide evidence that death is not
always the end and to assist in bringing closure to
any who are affected by the events of the paranormal
(04:27):
They have a show called History Alive, and we're gonna
talk a lot. Gosh, we're probably gonna go maybe a
little bit over, I think with these guys because they
have so much stuff going on. They have an up
and coming event too, coming up this weekend. We'll talk
about that. So let's bring David and Damon onto the show. Hey,
how are you all?
Speaker 4 (04:47):
Yay, yay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
Welcome to the show.
Speaker 4 (04:52):
Thank you for having you.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
So, I know we were laughing and carry on before
we started here, so everybody. They are from Lexington, Kentucky,
which I'm super excited because I love Ky people because
I live in Ashland, Kentucky, and they have been doing
paraneal investigations for quite some time and we're going to
dabble into that here shortly. But just in case, I
(05:18):
know you probably every show that you're on everybody here's this,
But just in case there's people out here watching and
they don't know about you all personally or anything, can
you tell us a little bit about yourselves and your
group and how you got started and what has come
about here recently in the last few months.
Speaker 5 (05:37):
Well, you know, I started LPRs sixteen years ago with Damon,
and you know, just kind of like everybody, we had
something happen individually and that sort of brought us together,
and so we decided, you know, we looked at some
(06:00):
other teams and went to some other events and kind
of didn't.
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Like the way they were doing things.
Speaker 5 (06:08):
So I thought, well, let's just start on group and
do things the way we like it. And we have
grown and grown and grown and grown and grown.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
Over the years, and we've added more members too.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
Yeah, yeah, you will have quite a few members. I
saw the list there. How many members do you all
have now?
Speaker 4 (06:32):
Twenty two?
Speaker 1 (06:32):
Wow, that's awesome to have. Are they all all? Yeah,
two to twenty twenty. It's a good year. I'm all
about numbers. Since that number of ology Letty came on
the show, I see twos everywhere now. But are they
all there locally in Lexington or have you all gone
(06:54):
like branched out into other states or anything like that.
Speaker 4 (06:57):
Yeah, we have one member in in Nashville.
Speaker 6 (07:01):
Uh, she just recently moved down there a little to
expand and grow a group down there also. But most
of us are from lection the election in the area
and surround and that's awesome.
Speaker 2 (07:17):
So yeah, I think it's very part of these groups
like this when they branch out and one of the
members moves away and they actually just make up another
group of their own. I think it's a very smart
move and it just you know, helps build the brand,
uh you know, the.
Speaker 5 (07:30):
Group, right, And that's exactly what we're what we're looking
to do. And actually I had somebody contact me today
through a mutual you know, through a mutual friend. And
I'll say the state you know who the friend is,
but Rhode Island, and.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Oh, I know who you're talking about.
Speaker 5 (07:50):
Yeah, So he called me yesterday and then we talked
a bit, and then somebody called me today wanting to start.
You know, I don't know how you do it, because
you know, I maybe kind of messed up with the
name sixteen years ago Lexington Paranormal, but you know, maybe
Rhode Island Paranormal. I don't know how we're gonna do
(08:11):
it yet, but that's something that we are looking into.
And for me, it's not so much about, you know,
just the brand, but it's just about, you know, helping
as many people as we can help. And if that
takes us, you know, to you know, the UK, or
it takes us to California, it'd be nice to just
have that network of people that we know, that we
(08:34):
and that we trust to go help these people.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Well, yeah, that's great.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Great. Yeah, So.
Speaker 1 (08:44):
Branching out and doing these things, have you And we're
gonna talk about your podcast because it is podcast month
here shortly and being in Lexington in Kentucky, well actually
just this area Ohio, Kentucky, West Virginia and all the
ley lines and the water and all that kind of
stuff that goes on. Have you hit all the hot
spots that's all around us, like as investigators teams places.
Speaker 4 (09:06):
Not not all of them.
Speaker 6 (09:07):
We've hit several, uh some of the some of the
hot spots we haven't went to on purpose, just because
they've been overdone.
Speaker 4 (09:15):
Yeah. Yeah, I guess you say.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
Kind of our passion is is historical sites, mostly just
because we're also history nuts in the background.
Speaker 4 (09:27):
So a lot of our events.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
Happened around houses or properties that have historical value or uh,
you know, some story to the area.
Speaker 1 (09:40):
Yeah, well Kentucky has a lot of history, so they're
in like they're in Lexington. Uh. Since we're on the
subject of most haunted places, what is the most because
we hear Waverley, you know, I think Waverley is overdone.
(10:01):
That's towards the level. Yeah, and you never know who
drops stuff in. I think it's like a dumping ground.
I hate to say that. Now, whoever's then you don't
know what You don't know what's authentic there anymore. So
is there any kind of like hidden jewel like that
maybe in Lexing ten that nobody really knows.
Speaker 5 (10:21):
Yeah, but if we if we tell you about our head.
Speaker 4 (10:23):
And jewels, I know.
Speaker 6 (10:32):
Jewels is coming up on January thirty. First, it's Whitehall
stage of Storehouse. We're doing our Waveblom stage of Storehouse.
I'm sorry, it's too many. W's white the storm It's
good on my mind recently.
Speaker 1 (10:47):
No, that's that's the secret. It's it's the white It's
that place that he just listed, that's the secret jewel.
He accidentally just released it. Y'all cod back and listen.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
They are They are both very active hidden gems, and
we like it because we have a contract with the
state of Kentucky to do all of their historical locations.
Speaker 7 (11:15):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (11:16):
The reason that I insist on that is I don't
know the team that may come in after.
Speaker 4 (11:23):
Me, and I don't know what their members practice.
Speaker 5 (11:28):
And then I'm not going to take my team back
in there when you know some idiot may have you know,
brought something in, you know, conjured something, or you know,
invited something.
Speaker 4 (11:42):
Right, So I'm very.
Speaker 5 (11:45):
Very careful and where we get and said we don't
want to do things like Waverley. I mean, yeah, everybody's
been to Waverley, but and you know, it's a great place.
Tina's a great lady. But you know, I don't want
to do something where a million people have done.
Speaker 1 (12:06):
I agree with you. I'm not one of those people
that like to go to those big, large locations. I've
only been to really one of them here in West Virginia,
Ohio and Kentucky. That's it, High State Reformatory, which I'm
wearing Shaw Shank Redemption shirt tonight. But that's the that's
the only really place and it was by the spur
(12:28):
of the moment that we went there and it wasn't
even planned or anything. So that's how I went went
to that place. But I don't have a desire to
go to these big locations. But that's usually like one
of the first questions they asked, have you gone to Waverley?
Have you gone to all these other places too? And
I'm like no, and then nobody wants to talk to you.
Speaker 6 (12:50):
I'm I'm looking at almost like when you go on
a vacation and go to a town that you know
that you've never been to before. You want to find
a restaurant that you don't have at home. I'm nobody's
ever been before and introduced it to Yeah.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
That's I think that. I think that's the way I feel.
And I'm part of prison Paranormal Network, so I think
that a lot of us on prison teams nationwide feel
the same way too. I think it's just been overdone.
And I kind of get bummed out with these new
shows coming on TV and they're going to the same
place as they go to that same place, I turn
the TV off.
Speaker 5 (13:23):
Yeah, so I haven't watched a paranormal show in five years.
Speaker 4 (13:32):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (13:33):
Wow.
Speaker 5 (13:34):
Yeah, you know when they first came out, they used
to be great. And I hate to say this, but
you know, even and I don't know if he's watching
or gonna watch, but even Grant's new show, I've never seen.
Speaker 1 (13:53):
Goast Centers for he has another show coming out, don't
he too?
Speaker 5 (13:58):
Who he's back doing, you know, ghost right now? And
then you know he's done work on our show.
Speaker 4 (14:08):
And but I don't know.
Speaker 5 (14:13):
I just think that, you know, there's only so much
of people running around in the dark that you can watch. Yeah, yeah,
And that's what we do is something different.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
And that's a good that's a good thing to do,
because you want to bring something fresh to the audience.
You want you know, everybody's you seeing, you know, the
the night cam vision, you know, the same old thing
over and over again, you know, just to get a
fresh perspective on. It would be great and you know
that's what you're doing.
Speaker 4 (14:40):
There was one I heard about and I wanted to
sign Connor up for it.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
But.
Speaker 4 (14:47):
What was it called ghost Bait?
Speaker 1 (14:51):
They only have one season. I had one of I
had one of the guest stars. We have one of
the guests our show.
Speaker 4 (14:56):
Well, I want to do and just but there was
something about him being you know, fourteen.
Speaker 1 (15:04):
Yeah, can we see Connor? Put Connor on? Look at Connor,
Hi Connor. He looks like a ghost there with that
lot hoodie. Oh for Connor. But every team needs one.
Every team needs a Connor. That's you should make.
Speaker 4 (15:25):
A T shirt.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
Connor, by the way, is the guy that they send
more stuff, by the.
Speaker 1 (15:31):
Way, Yeah, yeah, they send Connor into the deepest, darkest
places that they these big guys here, they look like
they work out too that they won't go, but they'll
send Connor in. So yeah, that's all right, everybody. Every
team needs one.
Speaker 2 (15:49):
Yeah, well guys, I mean you guys are doing the
an event tomorrow. Is that correct?
Speaker 4 (15:56):
Yeah?
Speaker 5 (15:56):
I'll let Damon tell you about that. He's actually EXPERI
in the event.
Speaker 4 (16:01):
Uh you London, Kentucky, the Laurel Cavy Library.
Speaker 6 (16:07):
Uh, teaching a class on basically paranormal one on one,
introducing people to the equipment that we use and how
to get started, tell them a few stories, answering questions
that they might have, getting getting the other little community
aware of who we are so they can start the
(16:28):
start their own wing of the team, so to speak,
if they wanted to.
Speaker 1 (16:34):
You all need to go to L Town's should be
the L Town Paranormal Group, so you don't have so
you don't have to change l p r s. Yeah
one day London, Yeah, Louisvelle Ritchfield, We're the L Town.
(16:56):
That's sorry, I thought that was fine.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
I mean that tomorrow. I mean, uh, if you could
tell like people that are watching the podcasts now that
are maybe curious about maybe doing investigations on their own,
what would be maybe the basics that you would suggest
to them. But you know, having as far as tools
when doing an investigation, you know.
Speaker 4 (17:23):
When people first get started, you know, there's no reason
for them to go out.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
And yeah, don't go out to spend a ton of money.
I mean we we've got every piece of equipment that
you can think of, and we use about five of them. Uh,
you know, just the basic you know, em F detector,
mail meter, a digital recorder. And you know the thing
(17:49):
I think people have forgotten the yard of is a
camera simple still can you know, you know, you go
to our things and you know, Jamie Hewny cameras can
we run? We run twelve cameras. You know on an investigation.
We use flear, we use SLS and and and that's
(18:14):
because we're spoiled and you know we've been able to
accumulate this stuff over the years. But you know, getting started,
I started with a digital recorder and old uh you know,
digital camera dig yeah, anything, probably recorders.
Speaker 4 (18:31):
We've been doing this, but you know, it's a good thing.
Speaker 5 (18:37):
I mean, just you know, the biggest piece of advice
I have people is don't do it by yourself. You know,
take a buddy to you know, take a girlfriend whatever,
and uh and do it. But you know, kind of
forget everything that you've watched on TV with some of
these shows.
Speaker 4 (18:58):
We have people come to.
Speaker 5 (18:59):
Our events and uh, you know, we have large events,
you know, one hundred plus people and you know, inevitably
somebody will come up and go, well, win, are the
ghosts going to show up?
Speaker 4 (19:10):
You know? Respond to the email right there.
Speaker 1 (19:15):
Did you see it?
Speaker 4 (19:17):
Done?
Speaker 5 (19:17):
Three e VP sessions and we haven't got one single response?
Speaker 4 (19:22):
Oh well sorry, we got from.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
Yeah. See there's an l town.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
In u K.
Speaker 4 (19:31):
You can you Yeah, that's that's my song.
Speaker 7 (19:36):
Liverpool, Liverpool Across the Pond.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
Yeah, across the Pond. Team right there, right for you, collet.
If you want to be part of l P r
S contact then start start team. So a little bit,
we're going to go in to uh talk about your
podcast on and then after that we'll talk about the
show that you all do. You so you have LPs
(20:04):
after Dark? What uh this podcast and things? Is this
a weekly podcast or how? How how did this come about?
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Well it needs to be. Let's just say.
Speaker 6 (20:16):
My podcast co host is a very busy man.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
Yeah, very busy man.
Speaker 6 (20:23):
So it's it's been a while since we've actually recorded
an episode. We started out as a month, you know,
once a month, but we're actually wanting to move to
once a week.
Speaker 4 (20:34):
Uh, but I think I might have to find me
to do co host.
Speaker 1 (20:38):
Uh connor, but Connor in there.
Speaker 4 (20:41):
Mc connor.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
Let connor step in. He could be our drink brother
or something maybe. But yeah, my original co host is
he has to.
Speaker 4 (20:53):
With his job.
Speaker 6 (20:53):
He has to do a lot of jets sitting around
the eastern part of the United States, so he didn't
get to stay here very long.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
So when you do have this show, are you do
you have guests on like we do or is this
like a just a podcast about some of the places
you all investigated, your evidence say that you've collected, or
what just or conspiracy like will does?
Speaker 4 (21:18):
We?
Speaker 6 (21:19):
Uh, we covered just about anything to do with the
occult paranormal. We have guests on pretty much every episode,
or try to just because we don't we get boring
and nobody wants to do. But we talk about some
of our events that we've done. We've talked talked about
(21:40):
some of the episodes of the show that we may
have just got through filming. A couple of the episodes
we've talked about that. We have one episode on for
Veterans Day where we've got several members of our team
that are veterans, so we just had all of them
on and tell them about their past.
Speaker 5 (21:56):
Didn't have anything that's.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
Hard that's hard to talk about though, you know that's
a good topic.
Speaker 6 (22:02):
Yeah, a lot of a lot of most of our
members that were in were in the military.
Speaker 8 (22:09):
M hm.
Speaker 4 (22:09):
Their paranormal experiences started while they were in the military.
Speaker 6 (22:15):
Beachline. But we cover a lot of things. Like I said,
we talked about paranormal We talked about hunting fish and
hunting fishing a bunch of country boys too.
Speaker 4 (22:29):
But we also talked about theories.
Speaker 6 (22:32):
We talked about what episode, we talked about the Bemberly
Hills Supper Club fire.
Speaker 4 (22:38):
We've talked about we called cryptics cryptis.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
Uh I always say that wrong.
Speaker 4 (22:46):
But nothing's off limits.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
I'm trying to pull up your History Live right now
Facebook page. I'm gonna try to show a clip here
in a little bit after when we start talking about that.
But for the shows that you do have, now, where
can people find those that if they want to listen?
Are they up on your website?
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Well?
Speaker 5 (23:13):
They I know that on February the second to two,
the production company is releasing an episode on February the second,
and that is going to be live on Facebook or
(23:35):
streaming on Facebook. I guess, so you know your guests,
your your listeners can just type in History Live on
their Facebook Facebook search on February the second.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
And it'll be able to You'll be able to log
on and watch the show. I think we'll have.
Speaker 5 (23:53):
I think the Super Bowl will probably get.
Speaker 4 (23:55):
About one hundred million viewers and we'll get the rest.
There you go.
Speaker 9 (24:01):
We'll be.
Speaker 1 (24:04):
A little tidbit about the Super Bowl. I never watched
any of these NFL football games or anything during the year,
but my son's ten years old. This will be the
eleventh year. I've guessed the winning team every year without
ever watching a game. Yeah, but they tell me I
(24:25):
need to bet, and I'm scared to. I'm afraid that
would make me lose, like I wouldn't be able to
get it. But this year I may even just put
it up. Well, actually, every year I've put it up
on Facebook before they before they won. So yeah, I've guessed.
This will be the eleventh year. If I guess, it
will be the eleventh year winning.
Speaker 4 (24:42):
So I was literally shocked that Baltimore got knocked out. Yeah,
my son was a huge Packers fan.
Speaker 5 (24:58):
But yeah, I tell you what, Kansas City looks pretty scary.
Speaker 4 (25:05):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:08):
I haven't watched any game right now, I'm telling you,
if Packers get in there, I'm thinking Packers are going
to win. So just preliminary I have to see I
have to see him. Fill it, fill it out, filled out.
Did you do you watch UK football?
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Though? Yes?
Speaker 1 (25:28):
Did you watch the Was it Auburn? It was Albury one?
Virginia Tech? Sorry is Virginia Tech?
Speaker 4 (25:33):
Virginia?
Speaker 1 (25:34):
That last play there crazy, That was the craziest thing
I ever seen. I was jumping up and down my
mom and my aunt. I made him go to We
had a restaurant called Kentucky Cafe, so I made him
go there. It's like, we got to watch this game.
We gotta watch it. We go there. I'm telling you
the whole place we were all jumping up and down.
I've never seen something like that.
Speaker 4 (25:55):
It was where I was at with a bunch of friends.
It was. It was in sanity.
Speaker 1 (26:01):
Yeah, you know how many times are going to pass
that ball back? You know? And then they fumbled and
then then we got it.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
I was like.
Speaker 5 (26:12):
The other thing is, though, you know, you've turned the
corner as a program when something like that happens and
it ends up in your favor, because you know, ten
years ago they would have ran that kickoff back for
a touchdown.
Speaker 1 (26:26):
Yeah, they probably would have.
Speaker 5 (26:28):
Yeah, I'm excited. You know, we were talking about this today,
Me and one of my clients. UK football has come
a long way, men's basketball has always been great, and
you know the ladies team. The ladies basketball team is
phenomenal this season with three huge prospects coming in for
(26:50):
next year. So coach Mitchell has done a great job with.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
The I played basketball all if I had an opportunity
to play college, but I didn't do it.
Speaker 4 (27:00):
Well, you know, I haven't been so shame on me.
Speaker 5 (27:03):
But my client was telling me that UK women's games
are funner than men's games, just the atmosphere.
Speaker 1 (27:11):
Probably women are awesome.
Speaker 4 (27:15):
I don't disagree.
Speaker 1 (27:18):
Well, sorry, we got all off a little bit topic
there at sports and Super Bowl and everything coming up.
I am going to try to pull up one of
your videos that you have on Facebook that we can
possibly share here momentarily, so, uh, in case you're just
now tuning in, we have Lexington Paranormal Research Society here
lp r S. We have David and Damon. They are
(27:39):
the founders of the group. They have a podcast called
LPRs After Dark. Uh, and they also have a show
called History a Lot that I'm going to play here shortly,
and we're getting ready to start talking about that show
into details I'm the host of What the Frick Live
and co host Will Martinez. If you, if anybody's watching it,
(28:00):
have a question for the guests, please put it in
the comments. Also to support the show, please share uh
to your Facebook pages. We truly appreciate it. So and
thank you again David and Damon for coming on.
Speaker 4 (28:11):
Appreciate you.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
It's been it's been fun. So yeah, we we have
a we have a foreign viewer tonight that's making a
lot of comments. And I hate to say it, but
Linda Judd is one of our our faithful. She's wants
to know if any may can translate.
Speaker 5 (28:32):
We can translate, so we can call them up and
get it translated.
Speaker 1 (28:41):
Translate. You know, I thought the I thought Facebook thing
had a well I'm using a different software.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
They mat.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
Uh may not be able to translate that there. But yeah,
we have we have a fan. Sorry, we can't translate.
I would love to post your questions, ingrid Ingrid. Yeah,
so if anybody can translate and posted it in the comments,
that'd be awesome. I'll try to ask one of the
questions she's saying. If she even asking questions, I can't tell.
(29:11):
So yeah, but anyway, moving a little bit forward here,
so you.
Speaker 9 (29:22):
Yeah, let's talk about this.
Speaker 2 (29:26):
I mean, this is like an embarkment on what this
historical places that are very important and that you're going
to bring back the history, the story and maybe dwelve
into that and see maybe how the paranormal connects with that.
I am I connecting to thats here correctly.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (29:43):
What we're trying to do is, you know, we try
to bring attention and support to you know, places that
are near and dear to us. And we're all history buffs,
and you know, anytime that we can get the opportunity
to go into uh, you know, two hundred three hundred
yurod facility and investigate, uh and make people aware of
(30:08):
that property, you know, maybe go support them, take tours
of the facilities. You know, that's our ultimate goal, and
to tell the stories of the people that live there.
Speaker 2 (30:23):
Gotcha.
Speaker 5 (30:25):
So it uh, you know, it just kind of honestly
fell on and uh it's almost like it was meant
to be. So it Uh, yeah, it's going great.
Speaker 2 (30:39):
Serendipitous that what it sounds like.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
Or synchronicity. I like that word wanted to I want
to say that in there. I like that word synchronicity,
not off, not hold on. I'm going to ask you
all a question here because I'm gonna say this. I
can't believe I'm saying this, but I did get a
little tiff with someone that did a documentary called Hellier.
(31:08):
So have you all watched that documentary.
Speaker 4 (31:13):
That? What's it? What's it about?
Speaker 1 (31:17):
Hold on, David, you're smile a little bit.
Speaker 5 (31:20):
No, I'm watching Will talking about.
Speaker 1 (31:27):
Well, watching Will?
Speaker 4 (31:29):
Will?
Speaker 1 (31:29):
What were you doing?
Speaker 2 (31:31):
I'm just stepping back in the cut. I'm not getting
involved in Yeah.
Speaker 1 (31:35):
Well we got it. Well, oh shoot, I mentioned it.
You never heard of Heilier the documentary.
Speaker 4 (31:43):
I am not rego.
Speaker 1 (31:44):
Okay, it's not important. We don't need to talk about it.
Speaker 5 (31:48):
I'm gonna have to look it up when when we finish.
Speaker 4 (31:52):
I think, right now, well, we're.
Speaker 1 (31:56):
Gonna look up History Alive right now is what we're
gonna do. And we're gonna skip over hell because it's
it's not important right now. So uh, anyway, probably so
I would agree. I think everything is probably better in
History of Life. I actually have the screen here. I
(32:17):
want to see if I can pull it up to
hold on, Why was that not doing that?
Speaker 4 (32:25):
There's probably there's a bunch of clips up.
Speaker 1 (32:28):
I know, yeah, I remember watching one. This might be
delayed if I play it. Well, you're cutting in and out.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
No, I know. I was gonna ask a question I
don't know, was was where Lincoln got shot? Was that
in Kentucky as well? Or no?
Speaker 1 (32:50):
No, that was in Washington d C.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
At the d C.
Speaker 9 (32:56):
That's right, okay, Ford, See.
Speaker 1 (33:01):
Hold on, I'm gonna turn on sound will you're probably
gonna cut in and out. I'm gonna make this a
full screen, y'all. I don't know how this looks play,
but this is history alive. And let me see if
I can make this full screen. Here we go. It's
fifty six seconds.
Speaker 8 (33:23):
What most people think of history, they think of abstract
names and dates that their teachers made them memorize in class,
random facts that are dry, dusty, and dead. But for
some of us, history is far more personal. People from
(33:46):
our past and the events they were involved in become
part of our present, something we live with every day.
We know that history isn't dead. If we look closely
and listen carefully, we realize history never dies. History is alive.
Speaker 4 (34:19):
Dude.
Speaker 1 (34:21):
That guy's awesome.
Speaker 5 (34:22):
Yeah, that one didn't have us in it, but.
Speaker 1 (34:28):
I will find one with you all.
Speaker 5 (34:31):
That's Jeffrey, and Jeffrey is an amazing talent.
Speaker 1 (34:37):
Yeah, well listen, I want him to read me a
story after listening to that, you know, I think he'd.
Speaker 6 (34:43):
Be a good Christmas carol or something.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Oh, yeah, that would be good. Or one of the
Edgar Allen Poe. Yeah, that would be good. Let me
see if I can find one with you all in it.
Will We'll ask a question while I'm looking for this.
Speaker 2 (35:08):
So guys, you guys are based mostly in Kentucky, but
I always ask this question of every paranormal investigator that
comes on our podcast. If there's the holy Grail of
places where you would love to investigate, where would it be?
Speaker 4 (35:22):
David?
Speaker 2 (35:22):
Let me start with you and then after you.
Speaker 4 (35:24):
David, Please, man, that's that's tough.
Speaker 1 (35:28):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (35:30):
And I have no excuse for not doing this because
I'm in California a lot. Uh, probably for me the
wind Bextor House just because of the I don't know
the lore behind the story.
Speaker 4 (35:45):
Did you hear?
Speaker 2 (35:46):
By the way, there was a new room that was
discovered in the Winchester House, just literally, like I think
within the last three weeks.
Speaker 4 (35:51):
No, no, I didn't. I haven't heard that.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Wow, yeah, I look that up. It's I just saw
that about maybe a week or two ago. They found
a new room. So but listen, that's very local. Yeah, absolutely,
I agree.
Speaker 6 (36:06):
Uh as far as the state sided way, it would
have to be Gettysburg.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I I mean.
Speaker 4 (36:18):
I'd love to jump to Yeah, I mean Ireland though, too.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Real quick, are you all on the history of Live Trailer.
I'm assuming you're.
Speaker 5 (36:29):
Okay, Okay, some of our brothers and sisters will be
and that's close enough.
Speaker 1 (36:35):
Okay, Well you said California. How about Black Dahia House.
Speaker 5 (36:39):
You know, uh, my wife and I just kind of
got interested because of the podcast, and uh yeah, that's
that's cool. I would like to check that out. You know,
there's so many places.
Speaker 2 (36:55):
If you're in California. I'm sorry, Oh, there's so many
places in California. At the Cecil Hotel. Look that up,
trust me hotel.
Speaker 4 (37:04):
Yeah, you say there will.
Speaker 2 (37:08):
No but every person that was like a serial killer
or that was murdered probably in the last fifty years
that was a high profile killing or murderer like stayed
in this hotel at one point.
Speaker 4 (37:20):
Is it in La.
Speaker 1 (37:26):
Well did you hear that?
Speaker 2 (37:27):
I believe it's Yeah, yeah, it's in La Okay.
Speaker 4 (37:31):
Yeah, that's like thirty minutes from me. I'm gonna have
to check that out. I know that's weird, but I
want to check it out now hard.
Speaker 1 (37:40):
Talking about you, are you living? Do you live in
La too?
Speaker 4 (37:44):
No? My oldest daughter lives in Orange.
Speaker 1 (37:49):
County, Okay, Orange County house.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
Well, yeah, uh.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
A lot. So we go out several times, many minutes.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
I don't blame you, especially if it's if it's a
free place to stay to you.
Speaker 4 (38:07):
Yes, I love it.
Speaker 1 (38:08):
I've never been to California, but I hear the weather's
naus all the time there.
Speaker 4 (38:12):
So it's where she lives.
Speaker 5 (38:14):
It's it's just gorgeous.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
Yeah, let's see here. I'm trying to pull this up now.
It's a two minute one. I don't know how well
two minute's two.
Speaker 4 (38:25):
Minutes Jamie is.
Speaker 5 (38:27):
Let me let Jamie get Jamie on the case here
and see if he can.
Speaker 4 (38:31):
Find a perfect video for you. I know they just
released one. That one I think is a little long.
Speaker 1 (38:38):
It's two minutes. It was released five months ago.
Speaker 4 (38:42):
Yeah, if you go to.
Speaker 5 (38:46):
Well, that one would be okay or if you go
to Emily, if you go to my Facebook, I have firsted.
Speaker 4 (38:52):
Some recent videos, okay.
Speaker 5 (38:55):
The last couple of days. Let me pull mine up
here real quick, and let's.
Speaker 1 (39:00):
Get your Facebook beforehand.
Speaker 5 (39:04):
Let's see the first video that comes up that I
did January fourteenth. That one's good, but there's some there's
a really good one.
Speaker 4 (39:17):
That's kind of quick.
Speaker 9 (39:20):
On.
Speaker 5 (39:21):
I posted it on January the thirteenth, okay, and it's
not very long.
Speaker 1 (39:30):
How long is it? Twenty?
Speaker 4 (39:32):
Let me I'm want to send this.
Speaker 1 (39:34):
To David Underwood.
Speaker 5 (39:35):
Yeah, okay, I'm just gonna send it to you on
Messenger real quick.
Speaker 7 (39:42):
Here, January fourteenth, thirteenth.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
Okay, hold on, so I just popped it.
Speaker 1 (39:51):
Yeah, I'll see it. I see it now, so let
me ah pause it. This is Perrytown, Perryville.
Speaker 4 (40:05):
No, not that one.
Speaker 5 (40:06):
This one is uh the old jail, the Sheriff's house
in Crown Point, Indiana.
Speaker 1 (40:14):
This is it? Here we go, all right, old jail,
sheriff's house. What cares do you all used to film?
It's nice?
Speaker 4 (40:26):
Yeah, we have no clue.
Speaker 5 (40:28):
We have a you know, it's a production company that
does everything.
Speaker 1 (40:32):
Let's see here. I'm gonna stop sharing that.
Speaker 4 (40:35):
Yeah, it's nice, trust me.
Speaker 2 (40:40):
Yeah, shut her out.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (40:43):
So you have a production company that's doing this. Is
this gonna be like on Travel Channel or something? What's
going on?
Speaker 4 (40:52):
Can't whatever?
Speaker 5 (40:56):
Whatever I do want to give you know, d m
Z Productions, Darren saying can uh my god, their work
is amazing.
Speaker 2 (41:10):
They got good work.
Speaker 4 (41:11):
Yeah, there's production qualities off the charts.
Speaker 1 (41:16):
Who is it? I'm sorry, I was trying to get
this d.
Speaker 5 (41:23):
Yeah not not tm Z day.
Speaker 1 (41:30):
Like kind of almost reminds me of w w E
wrestling too. A little side note about I know Will
used to be a wrestler.
Speaker 4 (41:45):
Oh yeah, professional.
Speaker 2 (41:47):
Why did you up again? Semi professional? Yeah, don Florida
for a little bit. I was younger, much younger, and
my younger than years.
Speaker 4 (41:59):
You did back?
Speaker 5 (42:01):
Did you.
Speaker 4 (42:08):
That was?
Speaker 2 (42:08):
This is pre naturally it was even around back then.
Speaker 4 (42:13):
Will you need to.
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Do that for Halloween? You need to be not chelly
brain and your little kids the midget wrestlers.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
That'd be great about a year, wonderful time.
Speaker 1 (42:33):
I used to be the w w E Trivia champion
back in the day Gino's Pub in Huntington, West Virginia.
Oh man, I wish I was young again back in
the day. Let's see here, I'm trying to set this
up to be full screen and this is the old
jail Sheriff's how Yeah, okay, let's see. I'm gonna pull
(42:58):
this up. There we go in here, I'm going to
play it. Let's hopefully this place.
Speaker 9 (43:02):
Okay, that doesn't get you.
Speaker 7 (43:28):
That music, the music that place is crazy, it is,
that's insane.
Speaker 1 (43:37):
What can you give us a little bit maybe a
little bit of what happened.
Speaker 4 (43:46):
We're going to start, Okay.
Speaker 1 (43:48):
I can I just ask where did Conner.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
Go in the t Where did Conner go things? Nothing
is worse than doing a I think it was a
Frank's Box section session, just messing around with the Frank's
Box and repeatedly got the word rape. So really, yeah,
(44:11):
in a prison, Wow, it's not you know, and you know,
like Brian said, I mean one of our guys on
another one of the trailers. You know, these guys weren't
in there for you know, raising bunny rabbits. You know,
they're in there for you know, for robbery, for murder,
for rape, and uh, it just the whole place just
(44:36):
has this nasty feel to it. But you know, the
people that run it, Sandy just absolute great people and
amazing h with them.
Speaker 6 (44:52):
That they think about. The jail is where it's located.
If you're not for me with where Crawd pointed it is,
it's just southeast of Chicago and it's that one single
jail at Sheriff's House was the incarceration center for basically
the entire northwest quadrant of Indiana. Wow, everything that happened
(45:18):
north of Indianapolis, south of Chicago, and on the west
side of the Indiana all went there. There were actually
so many people the some of the sales are set up.
They have four bunks in a cell, so it's designed
for four guys. There were at times and where there
were as many as eighteen guys in one cell.
Speaker 4 (45:42):
They were packed.
Speaker 5 (45:44):
We're talking you know, we're talking gangsters, you.
Speaker 4 (45:47):
Know, and there hated.
Speaker 6 (45:51):
At one point they actually had a gentleman incarcerated there
that they incarcerated for, uh, basically being inappropriate with the
young child they arrested, put him in the jail, had
him in the jail for three months before they realized
and found out that he was al Capone's number one
hit me.
Speaker 4 (46:10):
Wow, there where is.
Speaker 5 (46:15):
This in Indiana's one Crown Point. Just the next down
over is Gary.
Speaker 1 (46:22):
Oh I know where Gary, Indiana is?
Speaker 4 (46:24):
Okay, And of course the next after that Chicago.
Speaker 1 (46:28):
Connor McClain is that his name McLean? He says, the
building is not pleasant, especially with those guys.
Speaker 5 (46:40):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (46:43):
Before Connor, I need to just I need to kind
of meet Connor po.
Speaker 5 (46:50):
Se Connor's Connor's who We give him a heart.
Speaker 4 (46:54):
He's a great kid.
Speaker 1 (46:56):
Just to show the move the camera over in case.
Speaker 4 (47:00):
Again, my dog was one, so he was always there.
Speaker 1 (47:08):
He came in like a ghost.
Speaker 3 (47:11):
That Yeah.
Speaker 1 (47:19):
You know, I think when my son's fourteen, I'll probably
be doing the same to him too.
Speaker 4 (47:24):
So everybody we will So history.
Speaker 1 (47:36):
Go ahead, will I know that?
Speaker 2 (47:37):
Yeah, we're talking about history live. But I want to
talk about your moment. That that that moment that I
think every paranormal investigator gets.
Speaker 4 (47:47):
It's that.
Speaker 2 (47:49):
Holy ship moment. I want you guys to talk to
me about that first moment you had, that moment. Damon,
tell me you start working first. We started with David.
Speaker 4 (47:58):
We're famous for holy shit moments. Oh yeah, yeah, is
that a is that a Mason jar? Or is that
a Listen?
Speaker 5 (48:09):
Our our director is just an amazing guy. But you know,
and we all go out and have fun and he's
writing to mix with us. But when he calls me.
Speaker 4 (48:23):
And says, hey, you guys really got to watch with
your ships that it must be pretty bad. You know,
I guess I have to go back to sort of
what got me into this.
Speaker 5 (48:46):
It's something I've been chasing for the last twenty five
years and I've yet to experience it again. But a
full blown, full body apparition. When I had, I wasn't
into this. I didn't know anything about paranormal investigations.
Speaker 4 (49:04):
And I was in a.
Speaker 5 (49:07):
In believe or not, I was in a church, of
all places, I like that very old church, the oldest
church in the city of Lexington, seventeen eighty three, and
I experienced a full body apparition late late, late at night,
and uh, well was that that lady?
Speaker 4 (49:26):
I ran for my life? I smoke me.
Speaker 5 (49:36):
You know, that moment just hurt me into and I've
been chasing that dragon ever since. And you know I've
got him. I've got little, you know, glimpse of other apparitions,
but nothing like what I saw that night.
Speaker 4 (49:55):
Okay, he's got a cool trusting What do you refer
Oh yeah, uh. Mine was one of the first public
events we done at Waveland. At Waveland as our hidden gym.
Speaker 6 (50:16):
Yeah ah okay. It's a historic bransion built by Daniel
Boone's cousin. One of the family members was a gentleman
by the name of Joseph Henry and not knowing any better,
being very green. Uh, during an EVP session, I insulted
(50:40):
Joseph Henry severely. And that's one of the things we
don't really like to do. We don't like to provoke,
but I really poked his buttons that way and shut
the entire night down. We had a young lady that
used to help us out. She was a medium. She
was leading group and another part of the property. At
(51:01):
the end of the night, she came to David and said,
what in the hell happened? At nine thirty? She could
feel the energy the property. I made him so mad
he shut the property.
Speaker 3 (51:11):
What did you do?
Speaker 1 (51:13):
What did you say?
Speaker 6 (51:18):
Doesn't heppen to be a gambler and an alcoholic and
he loved the ponies, and the ponies didn't love him back.
And when he was put in charge of the family's
businesses while his father was still on his bed, he
commenced to mortgage the house parts of the property, so
set off some of the prize racehorses, all to pay
(51:40):
his gambling debts.
Speaker 4 (51:42):
This man was so unliked by his family.
Speaker 6 (51:46):
When he died. He was ninety five years old when
he passed away. He had thirteen children living when he
passed away, only one that came to his funeral.
Speaker 4 (52:01):
So I called him a black sheet and called him
everything but an s ob and.
Speaker 1 (52:08):
Like that.
Speaker 4 (52:10):
It was. It was maybe one of those things where
he had to be there.
Speaker 5 (52:14):
We were getting tons of activity, you know, the everybody was,
you know, the guests were all having a blast. And
then all of a sudden, everything just stopped. Everything, the
whole energy, everything just flatlined.
Speaker 4 (52:31):
The great thing about it, way to go, damon. I
went back in the after.
Speaker 5 (52:38):
Learning about it and formally apologized.
Speaker 6 (52:41):
And now it's to the point where if I'm in
that house, I can tell you if Joseph Henry is there,
and if he's acting.
Speaker 4 (52:50):
We've formed the kids ship.
Speaker 1 (52:52):
Did Joseph Henry ever come to your house?
Speaker 4 (52:55):
No, he stays where he is at. We think his
mom is got it grounded. Mama.
Speaker 6 (53:03):
See that give you an idea I'm six foot five
and about three hundred and five pounds.
Speaker 4 (53:09):
Now that's pretty good size for now.
Speaker 6 (53:12):
This man passed away in nineteen thirty one and he
was documented at six foot five and over three hundred pounds.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
Oh, look at you.
Speaker 4 (53:21):
So he was we have a little bit here, so
to speak.
Speaker 2 (53:25):
Yeah, well, I mean he went to the Great Depression
at that size, it's amazing.
Speaker 4 (53:31):
Yeah. Yeah, family was the family was very, very wealthy.
Speaker 6 (53:37):
He died penniless, broken alone in a one bedroom apartment
down off the third Street downtown Lehington.
Speaker 1 (53:44):
Sounds like he was a narcissist.
Speaker 2 (53:46):
Look at that.
Speaker 4 (53:47):
Yeah, I hate to say that. It sounds like I
heard it right. Yeah. You know Emily or you know
any of your gas will you know.
Speaker 5 (53:56):
We like to bring attention to this place because we
do feel that it is one of the treasures of Kentucky.
And uh, we have a public investigation led by LPRs
are investigators on January the thirty first.
Speaker 4 (54:15):
Today is that I believe it's a Friday.
Speaker 1 (54:19):
Oh yeah it is because yeah, because I have a
guest on my show that Friday. Yeah, it is a Friday.
Speaker 5 (54:25):
Yeah, and that's uh. We usually run those events from
like eight to midnight or so. And you know, it's
just an opportunity for people that are interested in the
paranormal want to learn how to do investigations. We kind
of you know, show them the show them the ropes,
hand them some of our equipment and you know, let
them do their thing, you know, with us keeping an
(54:49):
eye on everything, and you know, and in hopes that
you know, they'll bring their kids back and you know,
visit this place, and you know, we got to keep
it open. You know, it's been around, you know since
the eighteen forties and you know, we want to keep
it around for the next you know, three hundred years
if we can.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
Well, yeah, I'd love to get old houses in history
like here in Ashland. Toured a lot of our historical
buildings here too, and it makes me sick every single
time I see.
Speaker 4 (55:20):
One go down.
Speaker 2 (55:23):
Yeah. Yeah, you know what, it's really important that you
guys are doing this because a lot of people are
you know, really interested in the paranormal but don't know
how to get started, and not enough groups do what
you're doing, like helping people learn about the paranormal, the
beginner side of it. You know, what you should be
looking out for so I commend you guys for doing it.
(55:44):
It's truly awesome.
Speaker 1 (55:45):
I commend them too. And I've noticed too they have
a library thing this weekend tomorrow, right Saturday.
Speaker 4 (55:55):
Yeah, we want lots of the library events.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
Well, I've seen an uprising in these libraries over the
last couple of years. Uh, just over everywhere have a
paranormal investigators come in and teach people how to investigate
and stuff. So that's quite interesting to uh to see.
So tomorrow you will be.
Speaker 7 (56:15):
At where agon the more county public libraries in London, London,
Kentucky that's fund by Corbyn Corbyn, isn't it.
Speaker 3 (56:28):
Then Middlesbrough, Middlesborough Right, Middlesborough, Cumberland Gap.
Speaker 1 (56:38):
You also said Daniel Boone's little cabin thing down there
are the Cumberland Gap Bed and Breakfast or something. I
investigated that place.
Speaker 4 (56:47):
Yeah, that count We've got I think a little rady.
Speaker 6 (56:50):
People pre registered for the London Wow.
Speaker 1 (56:54):
Well, it's exciting to see the library libraries opening up
their facilities for people to learn and how to do
these things and investigate and everything that I've just seen
a whole lot here recently on Facebook and Prism has
been asked to do a few libraries too, so it's
exciting to see there that it gets a lot of
(57:16):
the public involved. I didn't really you know. So anyway
we can find you all on Facebook. I have your
Facebook page up here, Facebook dot Com back such Lexington
Paranormal Research Society. Also the show that you're all doing
that you can't say much about might be on a
big network, You're saying and hopefully crossing fingers because it
(57:37):
looks really good. History Alive also with Facebook, and then
I also have your web website too that I've been
posted on and off through the show, Lexington Paranormal dot Com.
What is the best way for people to contact you?
Is it through Facebook?
Speaker 4 (57:56):
Yeah? Please?
Speaker 1 (58:00):
But uh, in that bathroom the library just said.
Speaker 4 (58:04):
I want to give my cell phone number. No, we get.
Speaker 5 (58:10):
It's crazy, you know, the once people kind of have
found out about what we're doing, you know, you get guys,
you know, like one of the funniest things is we
had just did a big, large premiere at the Kentucky Theater. Uh,
this thing sold out so fast. The tack holes and
(58:34):
let me come on, We're not stupid.
Speaker 4 (58:35):
We knew, you know. Grant Wilson is hosting it he's gonna,
you know, be there. So that got a lot of people.
But the funny thing is, you know.
Speaker 5 (58:46):
Our popularity as far as in the community and you
know in the paranormal community has kind of exploded here lately.
And you know, it's a good thing because if we
can use that to bring attention to the causes that
we want too.
Speaker 7 (59:00):
Uh.
Speaker 5 (59:01):
But humility is a big thing. I was in the
grocery store not too long ago and I heard, you know,
I'm standing in line at the local Kroger, and I
heard two ladies behind me talking.
Speaker 4 (59:17):
So I just turned you know, it's like.
Speaker 2 (59:18):
Oh, is that him?
Speaker 4 (59:19):
Is that him?
Speaker 5 (59:20):
I turned around and I'm like, you know, hey, and
the girl goes, I didn't want to bother you, but
I have to ask you what's grant Like, I'm like,
that's my popularity now, you know.
Speaker 4 (59:36):
So that really knocked me back three steps where I
needed to be.
Speaker 1 (59:40):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (59:41):

simply go to Facebook or Instagram, uh, lex and Paranormal Research.
