Speaker 1 (00:01):
Cm Punk, La Night, jay Uso, Seth Rollins absolutely implode
Roman Rains turns Monday Night Raw into his playground. The
confrontation happened between Nicky Bella and Becky Lynch Rock sanm
Perez is gonna be on the show. It's the last
Monday Night Raw before Clash in Paris.
Speaker 2 (00:21):
Let's recap it.
Speaker 1 (00:22):
It's a WWE in Fanatics original production. Megan Megan, Megan Morant,
where do we begive?
Speaker 3 (00:37):
We've got a lot to talk about.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
That's exactly what you said to me as Raw was
kind of going off the air.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
We have a lot to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (00:43):
I mean, it was all just sort of hitting me
as jay USO's music hits, we see La Knight in
the ring, seem Punk's music hits, seth Rollins is out
there and I'm thinking all of this, and the Tribal
Chief was on the show tonight.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
Right, Because as you're going you're going like, well, why
isn't Big Bronson Reid out there to help bron Breaker
and seth Rollins.
Speaker 2 (01:02):
Oh that's right.
Speaker 1 (01:03):
He had a superman punch served up to him UK
style backstage before this match between bron Breaker and La Night.
That are so there there, And I love when you
get this right, when you get a faction of three
superstars and add into that a fatal four way match
for the championship, and add into that elements from the
(01:23):
faction members that aren't in the fatal four way, and
you have you have this kind of this pressure cooker,
this story that involves all these people, but in reality,
it's all these different stories layered throughout all over the place.
Speaker 5 (01:38):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:38):
I think if you would have told us a couple
of weeks ago that there was gonna be a fatal
four way match for the World Heavyweight Championship, all of
us would have said, well, obviously Roman Rains is going
to be in that.
Speaker 1 (01:46):
Match, but that was when he had all his shoes.
Speaker 3 (01:49):
That's correct anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
And so okay, so since you brought it up, let's
start with Roman. I wouldn't have I never.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Wond You're welcome.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
If you really want to talk about Roman reigns, fine,
I'll talk about romanam No, all right, all right, I'll
do it. Yeah. I mean, look, Roman comes out and
I thought his promo tonight to start raw was uh,
I mean it was.
Speaker 2 (02:16):
It's always impactful and part.
Speaker 1 (02:17):
Of the reason it's impactful is because even with Roman
now back for a handful of Monday Night Raws the
last couple he's just been a surprise at the very
end of the show. There's just some physicality and it's
more his presence was felt.
Speaker 6 (02:33):
Yeah, we haven't seen an extended promo by Roman Reigns
on the MIC in months.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
Yeah, yeah, well weeks, I mean maybe a month, yeah, right,
coming right off SummerSlam.
Speaker 2 (02:44):
Been a while, right, I think.
Speaker 3 (02:47):
We haven't heard from him since he lost his shoes.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
We have not heard from him since he lost his shoes,
because I would remember if we had heard from him
since he lost his shoes. But he comes out and
of course, I mean, these kids and throw this word
aura around, but you don't understand aura unless you've witnessed
the tribal Chief. You don't understand what aura is until
you've seen Roman Reigns.
Speaker 6 (03:09):
I wish you were wrong, but you're I know, right,
don't You wish this was more like Roberts hyperbole.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
But it really is and it really is true when.
Speaker 1 (03:18):
They just like, first of all, the fact that there
there's nobody they're already singing Roman Roman Rains, except with
the British accent as his music. His music hasn't stopped,
so they're not singing his music. They're singing their hooligan
chants for Roman. Everybody else you would least wait until
(03:38):
the music stops so you can own it, but they couldn't.
They couldn't. It was like like, we want to chant
this too badly, and Roman just just stands there. He
stands there in the entryway just taking it all in.
And then he gets in the ring and he stands
there in the middle of Birmingham, England, just taking it
all in and letting them all sing his name and
(04:00):
letting them all do their chance and just accepting all
of it.
Speaker 3 (04:04):
Never has taken it in looked so cool, and never.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Never has it looked so cool.
Speaker 1 (04:08):
Or the fact that it's almost like this delayed gratification
where he spent three and a half years as world
champion and he's a villain, he's a bad guy. Fans
are booing him right and even when they are sharing him,
it wasn't about the fans.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
It's about him.
Speaker 1 (04:25):
Now he can finally accept this agulation and he's into it, man,
and he's like he's like, yeah, this is what it's
all about but you know, I think that first of all,
believe it or not.
Speaker 2 (04:38):
I got super excited.
Speaker 1 (04:39):
When he said I have big plans for the rest
of this year and next year, because what do we
always talk about the fact that Roman reigns isn't there?
Speaker 6 (04:50):
Yeah, I mean I was even listening to Cody Rhads
podcast this week and he and Becky were talking about
bus drivers.
Speaker 3 (04:57):
Winning Driver of the Year.
Speaker 2 (04:59):
I didn't even know that was.
Speaker 3 (05:00):
Yeah, it is, and a Romans.
Speaker 6 (05:01):
Driver won it, and both of them were saying he
doesn't even work.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah, he's pretty really good at driving. I don't think
Roman's gonna have a guy. Here's the thing about Roman rings.
He only has the best around it. So you've got
it's not and like, it's not the most miles driven award.
I would think that it's a like these awards, like
when Oscar season comes around and somebody gets Best Actor.
Speaker 2 (05:23):
They're not going like, well, I was.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
In more scenes in my movie than he was in
his movie. If you're Daniel day Lewis, but you just
got in one scene, but you wrecked it, I mean
tore the house down in.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
That one scene.
Speaker 1 (05:36):
I don't care if you're you know, Paul Giamatti, who's
also excellent, but in every single scene.
Speaker 2 (05:42):
Not quite Daniel day Lewis.
Speaker 6 (05:44):
But I mean, if we're talking about driving, I think
that's a bit of a different situation because we all
drive every day.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
And listen, if.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
I'm going to rush, maybe I'm not going to a
complete stop that the stops?
Speaker 1 (05:54):
Are you serious?
Speaker 3 (05:56):
So listen.
Speaker 1 (05:56):
I can't believe that.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
But if I'm not driving as often, I'm probably better
at it, less room for error.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
I think that if you're driving the tribal chief, you're
probably better at it because you realize you have precious.
Speaker 3 (06:07):
Cargo and what Cody and Becky are.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Just it's the tribal chief. It's Roman Rains after all.
It's like driving around, like you know, when you have
groceries you have to drive a little slowly because you don't
whatt the eggs to get knocked off the seat. That
time's a million because it's Roman raiins you know, it's
your best driving ever. But regardless, drivers are Nora and
he deserves it, you know.
Speaker 3 (06:29):
I don't know about that, but congrats from I.
Speaker 1 (06:31):
Love that you're such a Becky Stan You're like, you know,
who doesn't get enough credit Becky's driver.
Speaker 6 (06:38):
Well, listen, you're talking about Roman doesn't work. I'm just saying,
if Roman's not working, his.
Speaker 1 (06:41):
Drivers get no, you're right, you're right too, You're right.
But we're getting from the control room. He's the OBD,
the original bus driver and the only bus driver acknowledge him. Okay,
we're about to get into a podcast war on our
own podcast network.
Speaker 2 (06:59):
It is.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
I'm going hard for Romans driver. And you know what,
I'm going to be one hundred percent honest. I've never
been driven anywhere by Becky's driver, or Cody's driver or
Romans driver you know who drives me to the shows me.
But I'm telling you, I gotta get Romans drivers back
on this one driver of the year for me. For me,
that's where I land. But but Romans saying he's got
(07:23):
a lot to do for the rest of this year
and a lot to do next year, to be busy.
All of a sudden, we're putting miles on this bus
right right where you're like, you're starting to get like, oh,
we might have some things to do. And the fact
too that Roman also brings up that there will come
a time for him to get the world title back
that that is in the future, that that is what
(07:45):
he's going towards.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
But right now he's got this.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
The fact that there is a goal and there are
obstacles in front of that goal, and he plans on
taking care of the obstacles and then going for the
goal leads me to believe again that this is the
most opt mystic that I've been about having more Roman
then I've been in a long time. Look, I mean,
you know, towards the end of his reign as champion,
(08:10):
it was almost like I've done it all until somebody
can beat me. Then somebody beat him, and it took
a good year for Roman to be like, who am I?
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Who am I?
Speaker 1 (08:21):
Without this title? And on Raw tonight he acknowledges Cody
was right. I got no bloodline, I got no wise man,
I got no title. It all got taken away from me.
He said, Seth was the one that did it, but
Cody was right in his prediction.
Speaker 6 (08:40):
And it was interesting because I think Paul Hayman comes
out then and he points out that you know, you're
standing there alone, and yes he is alone, but I
think he's not because the entire audience starts chanting for him.
And that brought me back to Sam.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
You were there in.
Speaker 6 (08:57):
Attendance the Royal Rumble where it was dangerous to win
a Roman Reins T shirt.
Speaker 1 (09:01):
I went with a friend and I told her like,
zip your hoodie up, hide that Roman Rains T shirt.
We're in Philadelphia and I want to leave here in
one piece. I mean even the rock wasn't enough to
get the fans to cheer for Roman Rains. And it's
different now he is that guy. The inevitable has happened.
Speaker 6 (09:19):
Yeah, And it was that moment where it's like Hayman saying, look,
you have nothing, and the entire crowd is like, no,
he has us.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Now what did you Okay, what did you make of this?
Speaker 1 (09:29):
What did you make of Paul Hayman saying I love
you looking at Roman Reins and saying I love you,
I care about you, and I miss you and you
need tough love beaten into you and I can't do that,
but I'm gonna have Bronson reed do that. There were
a couple of looks from Bronson where he was like
he's our enemy, dude, what are you talking about? Like
(09:51):
and then he was like, oh, okay, I guess I
see what you're saying, but do you think that there
is u do you think there's any buyer's remorse in
Paul Hayman when he sees Roman reigns and goes, that's
the that's the that's the boat that I used to
be anchored onto.
Speaker 6 (10:10):
We talked about this what three weeks ago on the show.
Now there was buyer's remorse. Then in Paul Hayman's voice,
he's still doing it exactly and he's not trying to
hide it, which is the weird thing. Like listen when
he says, I still love your Roman Reins. I get
it because you look.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
At Roman and you go, how could he not write?
Speaker 2 (10:27):
How could one not?
Speaker 3 (10:29):
That's what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Right, But if I'm seth Rollins, if I'm Bronson reed,
if I'm bron Breaker, they don't like hearing my.
Speaker 1 (10:37):
Oracle, your adorable oracle.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
My adorable oracle.
Speaker 6 (10:42):
I don't like hearing my adorable oracle telling the OTC
that he loves him miss him.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
Yeah, I'd be like, you gotta chill with that love stuff, dude, Like.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
You really got to chill with that because it comes
across weird respect.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
I respect you, Okay.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
Okay, love I mean, but is is it Hayman doing
his Hayman thing again?
Speaker 2 (11:02):
Possibly as well mind games?
Speaker 1 (11:04):
You know, of course he's always got tricks and he
doesn't make moves willy nilly does Paul Hayman.
Speaker 3 (11:10):
Everything is calculating, Yes.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
Yes, it just depends on whether he's calculating properly or not.
Speaker 6 (11:15):
Now, just when you think he slips up and says,
you know the late great right, you realize, oh he
did on purpose.
Speaker 1 (11:23):
It's a mean guy. But uh uh yeah, Roman responding
to him like he was Tony Hinchcliff at a roast,
going uh hey, dumb ass, you're gonna have to kiss
my ass because I'm gonna kick his ass.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
I love the way when how Roman Reigns calls him
dumb ass, it doesn't get old and it never will
get old, and.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
It's such like a childish insult. But for some reason,
Roman just just the way he like, especially after Hayman
like and I think that this might be part of
the sort of mind game going on where Hayman is
like trying to keep the value that Roman once placed
on Paul Hayman. I'm not doing this without my wise man.
(12:06):
It's a package deal, like every story you ever heard
about Roman Reigns was that the Roman Reigns Hayman relationship
was not simply an on screen relationship. It was his
life and the idea that like Hayman on one end
is trying to be reflective of that relationship and give
it this weight potentially so that like Roman is still
lost and Roman is just like discarding him.
Speaker 2 (12:29):
Hey, dumb ass.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Like it's like it's what your gym teacher called you
in nineteen seventy eight, you know what I mean. It's
it's like just the most like dismissive I have. I'm
not giving you any what did you even just say,
like to like pour your soul out to somebody and
go like would you say dumb ass?
Speaker 2 (12:48):
Never mind?
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Then you know it really is perfect because Paul trying
to pull out the.
Speaker 6 (12:52):
Heartstrings, Yeah, ringing up the pass. Yeah, in Roman discards.
Speaker 1 (12:57):
It just discarding him, which is as I mean, Roman
has always been so good at using that that that
feature that he's built in with that no matter how
how big I present myself as, I can just discard
you like I'm better than you, right, And the way
he used to look at the audience where he's like,
I don't. I don't care what you guys say about me.
This isn't about you. I'm the one in charge of
(13:19):
this thing. Now he's he looks at Hayman that way.
I was the one employing you. What me so good?
So then we get the physicality, and for a moment,
Roman I was a little worried because he had upgraded
his footwear since the two times that Bronson had had
taken the shoes from his feet.
Speaker 3 (13:40):
We'll have a question. Did you know that Bronson was Samoan.
Speaker 1 (13:43):
No, and there's a difference between American Samoan and Australian Samoan.
I didn't know any of this and I did, well,
I yeah, I think that what Bronson was born in Australia,
but I believe his heritage is Australian Samoan. So you know,
and I guess I never he's not part of the
(14:04):
Samoan bloodline.
Speaker 3 (14:06):
He's not oose.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
He might be ooz, but like a lot of us
are oose.
Speaker 1 (14:11):
I've been told as much. I can't claim it, but
I have been told as much by some very high
ranking members of the bloodline.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
They've oosed me.
Speaker 3 (14:21):
All I'm saying is that I know more Samoan than Bronson.
Speaker 1 (14:24):
Read American Samoan. I'm not more I'm definitely not more Australian.
Speaker 3 (14:29):
Samoan, but you might be more American Samoan.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
Maybe oose.
Speaker 2 (14:32):
I don't know. For I would never make the claim.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
I would never make the claim because he almost stole
my shoes the last time I saw him, and I'd
prefer you not get me in trouble. My mom saw
the podcast and she said, I swear to you, Sammy,
if you lose one more pair of sneakers to one
of the big kids, I don't know what I'm gonna
do with you. She's said it, and he is one
of the big kids. So no, no, no, Bronson is
more everything than me as far as I'm concerned.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Good answer.
Speaker 2 (14:57):
Yeah, so that's the safe bet.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
But we see the physical and Roman's up to his
shoe game and Bronson goes for him, and I go,
he's not going to take a third pair. He's already
got a T shirt. A T shirt, by the way,
you know, you can get that on WWE Shop. You
can't WWE Shop and Fanatics. If you have the audacity
to wear a shirt for the tribal thief commemorating.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
When those shoes were stolen. It is on WWE Shop.
Speaker 1 (15:23):
Both bron Breaker and Bronson Reid have new shirts out
right now on WWE Shop and Fanatics. I'm talking Fear
of the Spear and I'm talking Tribal Thief featuring the
stolen shoes. You know, you're not getting Roman shoes, but
you can get a T shirt and it'll look like
you got Roman shoes around your neck. And that's about
as close as most of us will ever get. I
(15:44):
might just get it because you know, as much as
I want Roman to keep his shoes on his feet,
just the fact that that much sneaker culture has been
fused into WWE programming. It's a moment and I'd like
to commemorate that moment. You can also get, you know,
speaking of this Fatal four that is wrapped up into
all this, your own WWE Championship title on WWE Shop
(16:07):
right now, the current World Heavyweight Championship, the Retro Classics.
You can get the John Cena Spinner. You can get
the Winged Eagle. That's my favorite, that's my era from
growing up. You can own a piece of WWE history
is what it is. Those are all available on WWE
Shop and Fanatics.
Speaker 2 (16:27):
We're gonna get right back to it.
Speaker 1 (16:28):
But you know as well as I do, that the
Internet can be a wild, wild place and we need
to make sure that we are protected. That is where
surf Shark VPN comes in such handy. Yes, surf Shark

what you're doing. It's also gonna allow you to unlock
a whole world of otherwise censored content. Who knows why
these things are geo blocked. With serf Shark VPN, you
just change your location and boom you're in. How about
all those public Wi Fi dangers, all those alerts that

once you mask your IP address with surf Shark VPN. Plus,
with surf Shark, they offered on unlimited devices, which means
every device in your household can be protected. If you've

of surf Shark VPN. So he doesn't get the Roman
reins shoes because he went for him early. Now he's
getting greedy for shoes. Is this Bronston reed? If we
(18:27):
can bring this and I saw like Roman hadn't been
beaten to the point where he's gonna get his shoes stolen,
And then you know what's he gotta do. He's got
his foot in his hand. Roman starts kicking him. Come on, bro,
he got he got like a little ahead of himself,
tried to go for a tsunami, slowed down. A couple
of security guards caught a head butt on Australian Samoan
head butt, which is still just as I mean some
(18:48):
and head butts are as brutal as it gets American
or Australian. But it's just enough delay for Roman Rains
to deliver that Superman punch, knocking him right off the
top rope.
Speaker 2 (18:58):
It was great, awesome.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
Back and forth all the way to the back and
and it's what I mean. Roman had a presence all night.
It was almost like for the first time, I mean
literally since WrestleMania forty when he lost the title in
a year and a half. Now, for the first time
it felt like Roman, not only in the words that
(19:23):
he said to the audience when he said I'm not
the guy that I used to be. He said that,
and the audience said, you still are, but he's not.
Speaker 3 (19:31):
No, he's very different.
Speaker 1 (19:32):
And he said that. It was almost like also in
his actions. I thought his actions on the show reflected
that same sentiment in the fact that like he realized
that he's not just the top guy.
Speaker 6 (19:46):
No, And I think that came out during his promo too,
when he was talking about jay Uso and he's like,
anybody who's saying that jay Uso doesn't belong in this
fatal four way matchup, what are you talking about?
Speaker 1 (19:56):
I mean, that's got the win at Summer sleeph that's right,
And I mean and took the bullet for him to
get the win at SummerSlam, because Roman was like, this
is how the team wins. But I think the idea
that Roman going, like there was a long time where
he's like, well, I'm just I don't even have to
do anything.
Speaker 2 (20:13):
I'm just the top guy.
Speaker 1 (20:14):
And you know, I actually interviewed him at Royal Rumble
Weekend as part of a two K event, and like
it was fascinating, Yeah, January, back in January at the
beginning of the year, and it was fascinating when Paul
Hayman was still by his side, and it was fascinating
to hear him talk about like how he operates and
(20:36):
the fact that like he studies CEOs and huge business
people and those people put systems in place and he
said he just applied that to professional wrestling, putting systems
in place so that everything takes care of itself, so
he can step back and the systems are in place.
It felt like tonight on Raw he realized that those
(20:59):
systems aren't in place anymore. That like, whether it's in
a good way that jay Uso is a bona fide
singles main event guy with or without Roman reigns, or
in a bad way that there are people actively taking
everything from him down to his wardrobe. That it's like, oh,
I need to fight, Like I can't just rely on
the systems that keep me as the top guy in
(21:21):
the company. I need to fight. I need to be active.
And so we see him throughout the show. He's not
doing his segment and going home. He's there throughout the show,
in the build up to the to the end of
the night, he's with jay Uso and he's reminding him like, look, bro,
And he said too, it wasn't the old Roman that
(21:42):
was giving orders. It wasn't the old Roman that was like,
here's what you have to do, and if you don't
listen to me, I'm gonna take it as a personal
betrayal and I'm gonna ruin your life, because that's what
the old Roman did.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
If you don't, here's what you.
Speaker 1 (21:55):
Need to do, and if you don't, I'm gonna ruin
your life.
Speaker 2 (21:58):
This was like, Hey, you want my advice, here's my advice.
Speaker 1 (22:02):
And he was telling Jay, it's not about you know,
making sure you or one of your friends gets the
world title. It's about making sure we have it in
our family.
Speaker 6 (22:10):
Which is displaying how much Roman has changed. Right right now,
his driver.
Speaker 3 (22:16):
Is sitting in the parking lot like, mayn I gotta
wait here the whole show.
Speaker 2 (22:19):
Yeah, I didn't. I didn't.
Speaker 1 (22:20):
I mean he's earning money because he never had to
wait before.
Speaker 6 (22:24):
He's like, I'm telling you this guy, Roman Raine different, right,
my life different.
Speaker 1 (22:28):
Roman said, I'm gonna be in there. He's like, all right,
meters on just so you know, meter stays on running. Yeah,
I'm I'm on the clock. But if you need to
take care of business, He's like, it's worth the investment.
And then at the end of the night, as we're
seeing before this, the build up to the main event
of La Night and a bron breaker, what happens back there?
Roman Range shows up, He's fighting and He's like, you know,
(22:50):
I don't have to, but let me just punch He already.
Speaker 2 (22:54):
Superman punched Bronson read tonight. He already did it once.
He's like, let me punish him, let meliate him.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
I'm gonna punch him in the face again, just because
I'm still here.
Speaker 6 (23:03):
I did it once, but he took my shoes once
and then took another pair, So I'm going to make.
Speaker 2 (23:07):
Sure I keep punching him in the face right right.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
It's like, it's like, I'm gonna punch you in the face,
and you need to go home because if you don't
go home, I'm gonna keep punching you in the face
until you go home. And Bronson Reid didn't go home,
so Roman Reigns punched him in the face again. And
I think that there is this thing where like somebody
like Bronson Reid is going, well, look as long as
I don't have to deal with Roman when he's in
my face, he's not gonna be anywhere near here. And
(23:32):
Roman's like, Okay, I see that that's the psychology. Now,
I see that that's the game plan. I need to
switch up the game plan. And I think that that's
what he did, and I loved every bit of it
we get in from there. Did you notice that changed too,
like the fact that like Roman was so omnipresent.
Speaker 6 (23:50):
Yeah, And it sounds weird to say that Bronson Reid
had the momentum heading into this match, I mean had
all those t weird to say because he stole two
of roman rains of shoes.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
Nobody's ever been that disrespectful to Roman Ragins.
Speaker 1 (24:02):
That's correct, Right, as much fun as we're having with
the shoes, he's insulting, like being like directly like insulting
to Roman reigns. And there's a lot of momentum that
goes along with getting away with doing that multiple times.
Speaker 6 (24:15):
I mean, we're just mere days away from clash in Paris.
Roman had to do this to Bronson Reid heading into
their match.
Speaker 1 (24:22):
That's right, That's right. And then we get to the
main event where we see throughout the night. You know,
La Knight did his promo where he's talking about how
he had to learn from what was going on with Cmpunk,
And I've gotta say, I find it almost naive that
at first La Knight was like not taking it personally.
(24:42):
I've like every strategy that I've ever seen La Night with.
Every time this character speaks, I go, he's completely out
for himself. You could call him a babyface or he
or whatever, but it's always like, no, no, no, not nah,
I'm just here from myself.
Speaker 2 (24:59):
Right, It's true.
Speaker 1 (25:00):
And so to hear him go wrong place, wrong time,
But let's not make it personal, Punk, It's like, since.
Speaker 2 (25:07):
When why are you choosing now personally?
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Right? The world heavyweight titles on the line, and now
it's not personal?
Speaker 6 (25:13):
Like that's been La Knight's entire story, right, is he's
he's overcome the odds, He's gotten the audience to like
him despite everybody telling.
Speaker 1 (25:23):
Him he couldn't right except the audience. That's right, because
the audience everybody's.
Speaker 3 (25:27):
Saying La Night, Yeah, that's right.
Speaker 2 (25:29):
That's one hundred percent correct.
Speaker 6 (25:30):
But I did want to ask you last week this
came up to me. I mean, we have some questions.
We have some questions answered after tonight's episode of Raw,
But last week I kept wondering, is seem Punk more
interested in getting revenge on seth rollins or is CM
punk more interested in winning the world heavyweight title? Because
we saw him approach La Knight, and we saw him
approach j you so and sort of present the idea of, hey, guys,
(25:54):
maybe we should work together, which is interesting heading into
a field of fatal four way I'm not I'm not
saying it's dumb because the champion doesn't need to be pinned.
Speaker 1 (26:04):
Which is why why work together just pin someone else's right?
So it's like, why are you all like everybody's got
a singular goal?
Speaker 3 (26:11):
But then it's like, is it because he has issues
with Seth wrongs right?
Speaker 1 (26:16):
Is he trying to be the champion or is he
trying to make sure Seth isn't the champion?
Speaker 3 (26:20):
That's what I was wondering.
Speaker 1 (26:21):
Those are two separate goals. I think it's a great question.
I think it's one that we could go back and
forth with for a while. In my mind, I don't
think Cmpunk's has personal animosity with Seth the way Seth
has personal animosity with cmp I think that that Seth
has been obsessed with destroying Seth was vocal about not
(26:44):
wanting Cmpunk in the WWE publicly in interviews before cmpunk
came back. Seth was very public about his feelings about
cmpunk coming back to WWE from the time he stepped
foot in the All State arenaits survived series, Seth Rollins
made it clear that he wanted to ruin CM Punk.
(27:06):
He hated CM Punk, and that's been that's been Seth's story.
But I don't think Punk's ever had those feelings about
Seth Rollins. And I get it, you could say, but
Seth's the one that ruined Punk's night, and that's one
hundred percent right. And he also blew it for Punk
by costing him Hayman when Punk finally got the main
(27:28):
event at WrestleMania at forty one.
Speaker 2 (27:30):
But I think if you follow the story.
Speaker 1 (27:33):
That Punk's been telling us that ultimately CM Punk wants
to do things that he never got to do before.
CM Punk wants to win the World Heavyweight title because
on this because who would have thought CM Punk would
be WWE A a WWE champion again, nobody.
Speaker 2 (27:54):
I can see it's making you cry. You're choked up.
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Just yes, that's why I'm crying, Not because I have.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
A call or thinking about the story of SA.
Speaker 3 (28:02):
We went to the same high school. Emotional, yeah, very emotional.
Speaker 1 (28:05):
I get it. I get it.
Speaker 2 (28:06):
I'm gonna EpiPen you because he can't believe it.
Speaker 1 (28:08):
But no, I think that I think that this is
a thousand percent about cmpunk winning the world heavyweight title
when nobody said that he could, I think said this.
Speaker 3 (28:18):
Night, his actions sort of supported that.
Speaker 2 (28:21):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 1 (28:22):
I think that I think that the Drew McIntyre rivalry
was a personal one, and I think it's going to
take a lot to get cm punk sucked into something
like that.
Speaker 6 (28:30):
Again, he's not going to get easily distracted from the
title from the mission.
Speaker 1 (28:34):
I know, yeah, from the mission at hand, I don't
think so, because his goal.
Speaker 6 (28:38):
Is coming back main event WrestleMania right win a world heavyweight.
Speaker 1 (28:42):
Title right now, which is which is why things exploded
with LA Knight and cmpunk.
Speaker 2 (28:47):
Like I thought it was so interesting, right l A.
Speaker 1 (28:49):
Knight being perceptive of the fact that like cmpunk is
willing to work with LA Knight but really doesn't care
what happens to LA Knight, which you know is obvious
to everybody. I'm glad that La Knight has figured that
out before clash in Paris. But what I don't think
people saw coming was Jay Us going appreciate the advice
(29:10):
Oose and clearing the ring tonight.
Speaker 3 (29:15):
I did not see that coming at.
Speaker 1 (29:16):
All and first like La Night gets pushed into jay
us So, there's physical contact there. Jay Uso super kicks
La Night Cool got it, But then jay us So
superkicks cm Punk and I'm sitting there going jay Uso
and Cempunk have publicly been friends for a long time.
Who cares he took us Cousin's advice show friends or
(29:37):
show business. It's a World heavyweight championship match. It's on
the line. We'll be friends tomorrow. We'll be friends on
Monday in Paris, not before Sunday in Paris.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
And to me, this is really showing that this is
so much more than a feel good story for Jay
us The first time he becomes world heavyweight champion, we
have this moment at WrestleMania. Everybody's on their feet, everybody's eating.
Jay's coming off of winning the Royal Rum. It was
the feel good moment, it was the happy ending, and
what Jay did tonight showed me a totally different side
(30:07):
of him. This is no longer about Hey, this happy moment.
This is about becoming a world champion again.
Speaker 1 (30:12):
And the idea that you have to silence people, you
have to show people it again. It goes back to
Roman like having to put action to word, like jay Uso,
it's not enough to be like, hey man, I won
the world title and I tapped out gun Through at WrestleMania,
pat myself on the back.
Speaker 2 (30:29):
I'm gonna call it a career and ride into the sunset.
Speaker 1 (30:31):
It's like, no, like winning that world title at WrestleMania,
even though you've lost it since, means the bigger picture
is that you are now a main event person.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
So stake your claim.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
And that's I think what he did is he staked
his claim because the fact of the matter is people
weren't talking about.
Speaker 2 (30:50):
Jay Uso going into this match. They weren't.
Speaker 1 (30:53):
They were talking about Seth and they were talking about
you know, Punk and then Punk's rivalry with La Knight.
But it's like, oh yeah, and jay USO's in there too,
that'll fun. Now it's added a whole new wrinkle to
the story where it's like, oh, and jay Uso is
a serious contender in here, who's not really wrapped up
in a rivalry with this one or a rivalry with
that one or whatever it is. It's it's jay Uso
(31:15):
now has a clear uh desire to.
Speaker 3 (31:19):
Be the world heavyweight CHAMPIONAIP I love it.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
It's so good. It's so good.
Speaker 1 (31:23):
Well, lots of championship aspirations from a lot of people.
We've been talking a lot about rock Sande Perez lately.
I have well, I have to, We've said different things. However,
she had she had a night tonight, she had her
match with Rhea Ripley. The question was if she beat
(31:44):
Riha Ripley by hook or crook on Monday Night Raw,
that puts EO and Rhea in her column of people
she's defeated. They're not both in there because she didn't
defeat Ria Ripley, but but hardly a consolation prize, maybe
even better.
Speaker 2 (31:59):
She's our guest on Raw Recap tonight. Can you believe that?
Speaker 1 (32:03):
Yes, fresh off a battle with Rhea Ripley in Birmingham,
Roxane Perez is here, Roxanne. Not the greatest night in
the world, not the result, not the ending that you
were I would imagine looking for. But thank you for
being here with us.
Speaker 7 (32:19):
You're welcome, You're very welcome. Increasing you with my presence.
Speaker 1 (32:23):
Yeah, no, we feel very lucky. We know you know that.
I mean, look, this is the thing about this world
of professional wrestling.
Speaker 2 (32:30):
Sometimes it goes the way you want to sometimes it
does not.
Speaker 1 (32:33):
But the thing about you is that I feel like
whether people think they know whether you're going to win
these matches or not completely changed a couple of weeks
ago when you pinned Eo Sky. Not a lot of
people have done that. You did that, and I think
it did change the conversation.
Speaker 2 (32:50):
I know it changed the conversation between Megan and myself.
Speaker 6 (32:53):
When you walk in so smart over here, Thank you
so much, Rox Sander. I'm always trying to make sure
you're acknowledged. Sam Here, on the other hand, was trying
to point out that the Kabuki Warriors were involved, but
I think he overcame the numbers.
Speaker 7 (33:05):
Saw I saw their team.
Speaker 1 (33:08):
Ripley over here, Well, no, I All I try to
do is just call it like I see it. You
know when it's going however it's going. And you did
get a pinned over Eoskuy. You did not get one
over Ria Ripley. Is that something that is that an
accomplishment that you look at as something that you would
like to do. Commentary pointed out that you've never beaten
Ria Ripley.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
Do you look at people like that?
Speaker 1 (33:30):
Or are you a checks and Championships type of person?
Speaker 7 (33:34):
Checks and championships, Baby, that's it.
Speaker 5 (33:36):
It doesn't matter if I beat Ria Ripley or not,
because I beat Eosky and she's a former Women's World champion.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
It is do you where do you think as far
as that Women's World Championship sits?
Speaker 2 (33:46):
Right now? We saw Adam Pierce.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
He tells Stephanie Vauquier that she won't have her match
at Clash in Paris, but she will have a championship
match for the Women's World Championship.
Speaker 2 (33:56):
That's now.
Speaker 1 (33:58):
Wow, it's vacated right now. Do you think that you
have you been asked? Do you think you should be
the one in that match with Stephanie?
Speaker 5 (34:06):
I think anyone in the Judgment Day should be in
that match with Stephanie because I think the only people
that deserve any championships for that matter, is the Judgment Day.
So yeah, sure, throw me in thro McKellen. As long
as it's in Judgment Day, that's all that matters.
Speaker 6 (34:20):
You know what I wanted to ask you about your
relationship with Raquela and your relationship with the Judgment Day
because when you first joined the Judgment Day, not too
long ago Finn Baler brought you in, there were a
lot of questions about where you stood within the group.
But now ever since Live Morgan has been gone and
you and Raquel have become a tag team, it seems
like you guys are.
Speaker 3 (34:40):
Getting along just perfectly. So what changed?
Speaker 1 (34:44):
Weird?
Speaker 8 (34:46):
Oh just talking about you a were we talking about
liv and myself?
Speaker 1 (34:52):
Oh? Hey Racqel, hey Requel.
Speaker 9 (34:55):
Such a great tag team together.
Speaker 8 (34:56):
Yeah, yeah, okay, not starting any little rumors.
Speaker 9 (35:00):
Are we bringing up the Live situation again?
Speaker 6 (35:03):
Well, you guys, you and Roxanne weren't friends, and now
you are friends and it's going great for the two
of you. So I just wanted to see how that
all came to be.
Speaker 1 (35:13):
You're being nice, you know, as I have her back now.
Speaker 8 (35:16):
You No, we've worked together for a while, so obviously
a relationship is going to get built up through this time.
But you know, until we have those tag titles back
in the clubhouse, I think it's.
Speaker 9 (35:28):
Safe to say that there's still a little bit of
work that needs to be done.
Speaker 8 (35:31):
Yeah, we're always working, We're always working, but we're both
willing to put in the work and I think that's
what's important here.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
Yeah, I mean, Rikaala, Remember it wasn't that long ago,
it feels like. Anyway, we were graced with an interview
here on Raw Recap Live from the Judgment Day Clubhouse
with you, but it was you with your previous tag
team partner, Live Morgan, and there was this chemistry that
existed between the two of you, whether it's like where
(35:57):
you see one you see the other and it just
feels like they're like startlingly, startlingly quickly. That same chemistry
started existing with with Rock sand Perez to what do
you credit this sort of instant connection.
Speaker 9 (36:12):
You know, we talked about this.
Speaker 8 (36:14):
Our instant connection obviously comes from us having similar backgrounds.
We're both for Texas, We're both from the border of Texas.
We're both raised in Hispanic households. I mean, we're pretty
much cousins if you really want to think about it,
you know what I'm saying. Basically, So this was kind
of inevitable at the end of the day, and I
think that's what really makes us such a good team now.
Speaker 5 (36:34):
Rakeuela, I've insistantly proved to the Judgment Day that I
have their back, regardless of whether we have championships or
whether we don't, so why would they not?
Speaker 7 (36:44):
Why would they not trust me at this point?
Speaker 3 (36:46):
Sorry to cut you off their rock sand Oh, oh, you're fine.
Speaker 6 (36:50):
But I do have a question about Live Morgan because Raquel,
I know you consistently bring her up.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
We see you.
Speaker 6 (36:55):
Backstage in the clubhouse, always reminding everybody about Live Morgan.
But Roxanne, I wanted to hear from you. Have you
kept in touch with Live at all, especially now that
you've you've really assumed this this role in the judgment
day and Live's absence.
Speaker 7 (37:15):
She talks to all of us.
Speaker 9 (37:16):
We always have her own face.
Speaker 5 (37:17):
Hut.
Speaker 3 (37:19):
Yeah, and she's she's cool with detailed answer, She's cool.
Speaker 8 (37:23):
There's no problems here Meg, if that's what you're trying
to ask, there's no issues.
Speaker 7 (37:27):
What are you trying to instigate?
Speaker 8 (37:28):
How it's still very much important in the judgment day.
She's a beacon in the judgment day. We got to
keep lives name alive so that you know, you guys
know that we're not forgetting about La.
Speaker 9 (37:41):
Live Morgan. Yeah, don't be trying to start a thing here.
You mix in your stir in a pot. She got
a spoon in her hand.
Speaker 6 (37:48):
That's surprising from you meg No, I've just been impressed
by this chemistry.
Speaker 9 (37:52):
I mean it was it was a while because we
are impressive. We are very impressive, really impressive.
Speaker 6 (37:57):
Thank you.
Speaker 1 (37:58):
What was it about, uh Dominic mysterio that made you
first say, this is a guy I need to be
like close with. This is a guy I need to
be friends with, need to get him.
Speaker 8 (38:05):
Give right now you're stirring the pod, take a hand
to the spoon over and now Sam's just.
Speaker 9 (38:11):
Taking a swing at it. We don't need to bring up.
Speaker 8 (38:13):
Dominic in the situation you guys brought us on here.
Speaker 7 (38:15):
How would you even say that you wanted.
Speaker 8 (38:17):
To talk about tonight about her match with three Ripley,
didn't you?
Speaker 9 (38:20):
Yes, was involved. Dom was not involved.
Speaker 2 (38:23):
No, he wasn't involved.
Speaker 1 (38:24):
You were a Raquel you and I'm glad that you're here.
I mean there was You know, for those of us
that have been following Raquel and Rhea for as long
as people like some of us have been following, you
guys have a very very deep history together. To see
the two of you now as kind of key members
of the Monday Night Raw roster, Tippity top of the division,
(38:47):
and to have that stare down that confrontation to be
in the ring together. Now, what does it feel like,
especially in comparison to where you were, you know, going
back to NXT.
Speaker 9 (38:58):
I mean, what can I say?
Speaker 8 (39:00):
It feels great to know I'm at the tippity top
of every Monday Night Raw. To know that I'm the
biggest and the baddest heel on Monday Night Raw.
Speaker 9 (39:08):
It feels really really good.
Speaker 8 (39:10):
And there's one thing that will never get old, and
that's kicking rheas.
Speaker 9 (39:15):
Behind.
Speaker 8 (39:16):
I don't know how PG rated this show is because
I could say another word, but you know what.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
I mean, I do, I do? And you know, I mean,
you know. We see people come up from NXT all
the time, and a lot of times there's this transitional period.
It's not such an easy thing always for everybody to
just go, Okay, I had this identity in NXT and
now I'm on Monday Night Raw or I'm on SmackDown
and this whole new audience is seeing me, and I
(39:42):
have to reconnect with this whole new audience.
Speaker 2 (39:44):
We see people.
Speaker 1 (39:45):
Sometimes taking a significant amount of time to kind of
refine themselves and then have that connection. But Roxanne, it
feels like you came over from NXT and instantly knew
how to kind of own your space, own your moment.
You knew and continue to know exactly who you are.
(40:05):
And there's this feeling I was thinking about it as
I was watching you tonight, where it's like there is
nothing in the way you move, in your eyes, in
anything that feels remotely out of place, to the point
that I think the audience forgets that you haven't been
on the main roster all that long.
Speaker 2 (40:25):
Why do you how do you think you.
Speaker 1 (40:26):
Were able to make that jump so quickly and connect
so quickly.
Speaker 5 (40:33):
I mean, I think the difference between everyone else and
me is that there are.
Speaker 7 (40:39):
No prodigy prodigy. I've been doing this for ten years.
I've mastered my craft. And that's exactly why the Judgment
Day let me slip right in. They don't just let.
Speaker 5 (40:50):
Anyone into the Judgment Day. They're the most influential faction
WW history, and they just let me just like that.
Speaker 7 (41:00):
Within three months of being in the main rockster and
look at look at look at me.
Speaker 1 (41:04):
Now I've been w.
Speaker 5 (41:05):
W Tag Team Champions with with Raquel, and we're continuing
to climb up and we're gonna get those w W
Tag Team championships, championships.
Speaker 7 (41:13):
Excuse me, really, but mean a little too many times? Yeah, yeah,
she does, big, big head.
Speaker 1 (41:21):
I'm a massive, massive Judgment Day fan. Nobody could accuse
me of being anything else. But did you just say
that the Judgment Day was the singular most influential faction
in the history of.
Speaker 6 (41:32):
Ing.
Speaker 9 (41:34):
Do you think that's funny?
Speaker 1 (41:35):
It's just a really bold right now? No, no, no, I
want you to say. I want you to and you're
a highly I mean, the Judgment Day's success can't be overstated.
But yeah, I mean it's just been. It's it's been
a faction rich brand the whole WWE. Whether you're going
back to to degeneration acts, the nWo existed for a
period of time in w w E.
Speaker 5 (41:55):
I mean there there's and then there's Judgment Day.
Speaker 8 (41:58):
When did any of those facts all of the members
carry a title?
Speaker 1 (42:02):
When I mean, so there was there have been periods,
multiple periods of time where there's been significant as.
Speaker 7 (42:08):
A Judgment Day.
Speaker 9 (42:09):
Did they have five members with five titles? Exactly five?
Speaker 8 (42:13):
Did every single member have a title of the five
of the factions with five people?
Speaker 3 (42:18):
I don't think so.
Speaker 9 (42:20):
We did?
Speaker 2 (42:21):
Wow, yep, we did even the horsemen.
Speaker 1 (42:23):
There's four four horses, not five, not five.
Speaker 9 (42:25):
Four that's not five, not five, not five.
Speaker 8 (42:29):
Judgment Day uncomp did on another level, uncomparable.
Speaker 6 (42:34):
Roxtan, you have accomplished so much in your career in
w w E. But also you've made such an impression
since being on the main roster. And I think back
to your Royal Rumble appearance. I mean, you were one
of the final women standing. Then you go to Evolution
as a champion, you're in the Judgment Day, you pin
Eo Sky. Have you had time to reflect on the
(42:57):
year that you've had so far on the main roster
because you've accomplished quite a bit.
Speaker 5 (43:03):
Yeah, I mean, I mean I think that's that's why
I am where I am right now, is because I
do live.
Speaker 7 (43:11):
In the present.
Speaker 5 (43:12):
But I'm also thinking about where we're going to go next,
and how we're going to get our tack.
Speaker 7 (43:17):
Team championships back, how we're going to bring more goal
to the Judgment Day. I'm always thinking, next step, next step,
next step. You can, you can.
Speaker 5 (43:24):
You can look back at all your accomplishments and that's great,
but but.
Speaker 7 (43:28):
We keep going, that's right, keep going.
Speaker 9 (43:30):
We look forward?
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yes, do you think that Megan just asked you an
overly flattering question because she was upset that you called
her out on when she was starting things up.
Speaker 3 (43:38):
Or because I'm impressed with what she's been.
Speaker 2 (43:39):
Able to do.
Speaker 7 (43:42):
Impressed, and you should be impressed too.
Speaker 9 (43:44):
Fight over our favor right now, don't fight for our favor.
Speaker 1 (43:47):
Okay, No, you're right, you're right. I'm super impressed. I'm
super impressed, Roxanne. What was the connection with you and
Finn Balor?
Speaker 2 (43:52):
How was that?
Speaker 3 (43:53):
Oh, that's a good one because he kind of introduced you.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
To the Judgment Day. How is that?
Speaker 1 (43:56):
How was that connection really made? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (44:00):
Well I got called up to the main roster and
everybody hearing you who the prodigy was, and Finn Balor,
a very smart man, came up to me and said,
I have.
Speaker 9 (44:10):
A great idea.
Speaker 7 (44:12):
I think you would be a perfect fit in the
Judgment Day.
Speaker 5 (44:15):
You know, they the boys got back up and Live
and Riquel only had each other, so why not bring
me into the mix and now everybody has back up?
Speaker 1 (44:24):
And that's all it was, too, I mean.
Speaker 7 (44:26):
That's all it. That's all it was. There was nothing else,
nothing else said.
Speaker 2 (44:30):
Yeah, the ball just has an eye for talent.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Yeah, Yeah, that's really good.
Speaker 8 (44:35):
I mean the faction he created, right, we're all title
holders here.
Speaker 1 (44:38):
I don't know Finn created Finn Ballor created the Judgment Day.
Speaker 7 (44:42):
Wow, but he kept it going right.
Speaker 1 (44:44):
No, he did.
Speaker 2 (44:45):
He's done a great job.
Speaker 1 (44:45):
I'm not trying to I'm not trying.
Speaker 9 (44:47):
This faction, all right, I'm not talking about this current.
We live in the present, we look forward.
Speaker 7 (44:53):
This is the best the Judgment Day has ever been.
Speaker 2 (44:56):
How do you think there was?
Speaker 1 (44:57):
It seemed like there was some tension with with Dominic
not being able to help out JD. It seems like me,
you know, and and I'm not trying to drive a
wedge here, because like the Judgment Day has its ups
and downs all the time. One of the things that's
remarkable about this faction is the way you guys kind
of recover it. Just when everybody thinks it's over, it
gets even stronger. But again, you see that dissension Finn Balor,
(45:19):
where were you?
Speaker 2 (45:20):
Dominic says, I was here?
Speaker 1 (45:21):
Where were you?
Speaker 2 (45:24):
How do you?
Speaker 1 (45:24):
Yeah?
Speaker 7 (45:26):
Families fight, friends, friends have tens.
Speaker 3 (45:29):
You guys fight all the time.
Speaker 7 (45:30):
And look at you. Why do you have a podcast together?
Speaker 1 (45:33):
Yeah, you're we're family.
Speaker 7 (45:37):
Time so you better stop instigating, all right?
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Are you saying we're like the Judgment Day of podcasts
like the best Oh whoa.
Speaker 9 (45:43):
Whoa, whoa, whoa whoa. Only if you finally agree to
us being.
Speaker 8 (45:48):
The best faction, and then you're gonna have to come
on say it you agreed to it, Maybe we'll think
about say you guys have a great podcast.
Speaker 9 (45:54):
I don't know, we'll think about it.
Speaker 2 (45:55):
I mean, Rock Sanne to move on to a different topic, well,
would you?
Speaker 1 (46:01):
I mean you're talking about the Tag Team Championship, but
you're also talking about, you know, getting pinfalls over single stars.
If if Adam Pierce came to you and said, look,
we could either get you involved in finding out who's
going to be the women's World champion, or we could
get you involved in a match.
Speaker 2 (46:20):
For the Women's Tag Team Championship. What are you taking?
Speaker 7 (46:24):
He's really he's seriously, You're you're something else?
Speaker 1 (46:29):
Thank you.
Speaker 5 (46:32):
Look, whatever is going to help the Judgment Day succeed
is what I will do.
Speaker 7 (46:38):
Okay, that's all you need to know.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
You could run for office.
Speaker 5 (46:43):
I could if it helps the Judgment Day.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
You do very well.
Speaker 6 (46:49):
Well.
Speaker 2 (46:49):
Listen, Listen the fact.
Speaker 1 (46:51):
That you have this much composure, even after everything that
you've been through tonight, it really is a credit to UH,
to the fact that you you indeed are the Prodigy.
Speaker 2 (46:59):
And I think it. I think that the scary thing.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
For lack of a better term, is that as much
as we're seeing from you now, I feel like we're
only this is the tip of the iceberg. I feel
like you're barely even showing us what's there that And
I think we're going to be in store for a
long and decorated career of rock sand Perez.
Speaker 7 (47:20):
Oh you are. I'll be here for a long, long,
long long time.
Speaker 1 (47:26):
Can they just get along?
Speaker 3 (47:27):
They're like, great, I know, it's fantastic.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
Thank you guys so much for joining us. So thank
you to rock sand Perez. I mean, this is she
knows how to operate. She knows how to operate in
these circles. We tried, we tried hard, we tried hard,
and she I mean, look, there's but I believe it.
I buy you into all the Prodigy stuff. She is incredible.
She's great. Yeah, she's great, And I mean there hasn't
been a spotlight too big for her yet or even close.
Speaker 3 (47:52):
And she's young, dude, it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (47:54):
It's crazy, man, I gotta tell you, Uh, Tops Chrome,
who has I'm sure for years to come, we'll be
highlighting moments from Roxane Perez's career. Have more to highlight
coming up because Cattus Jack WWE is making its hobby
debut on August twenty ninth.
Speaker 2 (48:15):
People have been waiting for this.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
We got a little taste of it at WrestleMania, but
Tops Chrome Cactus Jack WWE is officially here and it's
making its hobby debut August twenty ninth. We've got a
one hundred card base set where you can find your
favorite WWE superstars, past, present, future. I'm sure Rock sanm
Perez will be in there as well. You're gonna be
(48:37):
able to find randomly inserted autographs, Chase Rare inserts like
Astro Nights, Festival, Fury, Famed Phantoms, Rodeo Rebels, all of
them are gonna be randomly packed into all of these
card packs. They're gonna be available on tops dot com
and hobby shops everywhere this Friday.
Speaker 2 (49:00):
They are going to go crazy, crazy fast.
Speaker 1 (49:05):
So I would recommend anybody that even sniffs this hobby
every that's right, do everything they can to get on
this cactus Jack drop as soon as it drops on Friday.
But while we talk about the women's division and we
talked to Roxanne and we talked to her also about
the World Women's World Championship, vacant, vacant, still Stephanie Vacquer,
(49:28):
it sounded to me like Adam Pierce has a one
on one match in mind for the Women's World Championship.
Speaker 3 (49:34):
This is crazy.
Speaker 6 (49:35):
I mean, I didn't think Adam Pierce could just I mean,
he's the general manager.
Speaker 3 (49:38):
I guess he can do whatever he wants.
Speaker 2 (49:39):
I couldn't.
Speaker 3 (49:40):
I just sort of thought there'd be like a tournament
or something.
Speaker 2 (49:42):
I don't know, it's up to him. It's his show.
Speaker 1 (49:44):
And by the way, if you want to question Adam,
he's the last one that came on this show very
hot under the collar. I don't think you want to
question Adam Pearce's decision to his face anyway.
Speaker 3 (49:54):
No, no, behind his back. Let's do it.
Speaker 2 (49:57):
That's right, that's right.
Speaker 1 (49:58):
Wow, that's not the the only women's championship that has
people talking. Because while Stephanie Vicer will not be competing
in Paris, Nicki Bella will be competing in Paris, the
Showdown went down, Becky Lynch was.
Speaker 6 (50:12):
Talking about that broke neck Barbie, well neck Barbie.
Speaker 1 (50:16):
I wouldn't have said broke neck Barbie myself, but I
know somebody that did.
Speaker 2 (50:21):
Of course.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
Last week Nicki Bella says I'm gonna call out Becky
Lynchen Raw, and Becky says picture that, and she shows
up to Raw herself to get in front of it.
And I mean, man, there is an art. Becky showed
up the SmackDown. It was Great Ireland's finest in right
(50:42):
there in Dublin, and somehow got Dublin to boo her
right and got Dublin to boo her so hard that
Birmingham in England wasn't ready to cheer her. And she
was like, okay, I understand. I mean, this is so manipulative.
It's crazy, the fact that she can go in there
and she goes, oh, I'm not getting cheered like I
thought I was getting cheered. It's like the audience, the crowd,
(51:06):
an arena full.
Speaker 2 (51:07):
Of people to the brim. It's just a musical instrument.
Speaker 1 (51:11):
It's like she's very good at the flute, you know
what I mean, just knows how to play every single
little note right to the to the exact tune that
she wants to hear it because she goes like she
wants she wants to, she wants to to to get
them right, she wants to get them, she wants to
earn her booze. So what does she do. She shows
up and she figures out a way to get herself cheered,
(51:33):
and they fall for.
Speaker 3 (51:34):
It every time.
Speaker 6 (51:36):
I can't believe this crowd falls for it after watching
what happened on SmackDown.
Speaker 2 (51:40):
But I mean, wouldn't you.
Speaker 3 (51:42):
I mean it's beculus. I mean, come out of way.
Speaker 1 (51:46):
To do it. I don't know if it's the yeah,
I mean you look, if there's any woman on the
roster that has aura that I get compare to Roman's right,
I mean.
Speaker 6 (51:58):
He's got a I'm so happy to hear you say
this because I tweeted watching Friday. I know this is
robb Rey cap Notts back on recap, so we won't
dive into promo. But I already, like, I mean, I said,
you Paige text messages about Becky's promo on Friday.
Speaker 3 (52:11):
And we're just so excited.
Speaker 1 (52:12):
We're just sitting there looking at your text, going it's weird.
I wonder why he's not responded respond ignoring.
Speaker 3 (52:17):
Sending essays about Becky Lynch. But I tweet it out.
Speaker 6 (52:21):
I said, Beggy Efen rules, and people in the comments
said that you were gaslighting me.
Speaker 3 (52:26):
So I'm glad to hear that you're giving Becky the praise.
Speaker 1 (52:29):
I've never not given Becky the praise that you that
she deserves. However, you've said absurd comments on the show
that I can I can't let pass. Well, we'll see,
I'm sure we'll.
Speaker 2 (52:38):
Get to one.
Speaker 1 (52:39):
But but it's a dangerous topic to broach. But I mean,
she gets them to cheer, and it's like, I mean,
she can't help herself. It's almost like it's Pavlovian Like
the minute they're cheering, she's like aha, but again and
like stab them in the back, completely turns on them
and they go, you got again.
Speaker 6 (53:01):
I mean, she's like thirteen years ago I had my
wwe try out here.
Speaker 1 (53:04):
It's like, oh, oh, she's so lucky right here in Birmingham.
Speaker 6 (53:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (53:11):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
And it was a dumpdun and it's still a dump show.
Speaking of dumps, Nicky Bella was so.
Speaker 2 (53:18):
Good, just one guy going god him, that's right.
Speaker 1 (53:25):
She says speaking of dumps Nicky Bella, which I don't
even not even one hundred percent sure how you would
frame that in a sense. You laugh, I laughed. I
was like, I've never heard that insult before. And then
Nicky Bella comes out. Of course, Becky calls her broke
neck Barbie, but Nicky Bella stands up for herself quite
(53:46):
well and then ends up saying that, you know, Becky
Lynch is well, she's a sea word, a coward.
Speaker 3 (53:57):
I thought she was going to say another sea word.
Speaker 1 (53:59):
Well, yeah, that's way worse than the one that I
was thinking of.
Speaker 6 (54:02):
Well, because actually in the UK, I don't think that
seaword is as bad you're talking about coward.
Speaker 1 (54:07):
I don't know what word you're talking about.
Speaker 6 (54:09):
Well, I don't think that Becky Lynch. I don't think
calling her a coward is quite fair. If we really
want to look at it.
Speaker 2 (54:15):
Hit me with your Yeah, I'm sure you've thought this out.
I have.
Speaker 3 (54:19):
I mean, she's the Intercontinental champion.
Speaker 2 (54:22):
And she's who are not exclusive.
Speaker 6 (54:24):
She's defended this title probably, I mean the last Intercontinental
champion that defended the title the way Becky Lynch has.
Speaker 3 (54:33):
If I really had to rack my brain.
Speaker 6 (54:34):
About it, I would say it's probably macho man Randy Savage.
Speaker 1 (54:38):
Okay, you're going back to like nineteen eighty seven.
Speaker 3 (54:42):
I don't think anybody has ever defended it.
Speaker 1 (54:44):
You don't think have you done the research or it
is just your gut.
Speaker 3 (54:48):
I mean, this is my gut.
Speaker 6 (54:49):
Okay, But if you really want me to dive in,
I can come back with numbers.
Speaker 1 (54:53):
No, I don't, because you will come back with numbers
and it'll be infuriating. You'll twist the numbers.
Speaker 2 (54:57):
You'll twist the numbers to match whatever strange narrative.
Speaker 1 (54:59):
That you have.
Speaker 3 (55:00):
She's not a coward. I mean, do cowards write best
selling books?
Speaker 1 (55:04):
I mean, yeah, there have been cowards that write best
selling books. Sure, I mean you can't.
Speaker 3 (55:10):
Do cowards make history in main event WrestleMania.
Speaker 1 (55:14):
There are less cowards that have main evented WrestleMania and
made history. But like writing, yeah, I mean, don't you
think that a lot of authors were probably.
Speaker 2 (55:21):
Like avoiding getting beaten up in.
Speaker 1 (55:22):
School, a lot like they're probably a lot of cowards.
Speaker 3 (55:25):
Best sellers though, I think so best sellers.
Speaker 1 (55:28):
I think there are a lot of best sellers that
have been cowards. Not all make Foley's the best seller.
Speaker 3 (55:31):
He's not a coward, not a coward at all, no
opposite of her. He's the man, that's right.
Speaker 2 (55:36):
But I think there are definitely I should have used
a different term.
Speaker 1 (55:41):
Yeah, I'm gonna give you that one because I shouldn't
use a different term. That's very good. But but no, no,
there aren't as many cowards as have main evented.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
I mean, do cowards have hot husbands?
Speaker 6 (55:50):
And Becky's not the only one saying that she has
a hot husband. Megan in the control room was also
saying that Becky has a hot husband.
Speaker 3 (55:57):
When she said it, she texted us it we have
it in writing. Well, I don't need to hear that
from not me Megan, Megan and the control.
Speaker 1 (56:03):
You wouldn't be so blatant. No, I mean, listen, you haven't.
You have your journalist you killed.
Speaker 3 (56:10):
I can't.
Speaker 1 (56:11):
You can't say that type of stuff. I wish Megan
in the Control would stick to the control not worried
about hotness of anybody's husband.
Speaker 6 (56:16):
Anyways, calling Becky a coward is just preposterous.
Speaker 1 (56:19):
Okay, you found that to be preposterous, I did, I
did it was I forgot where the well it doesn't matter. Uh, Well,
Nikki laid out Becky Lynch took the title, held it
in front of her face, and later out we're getting
to Uh Nikki Bella now versus Becky Lynch. Were you
shocked that Nikki Bella was able to remain so dominant
(56:41):
over Becky? I was? You were?
Speaker 3 (56:43):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (56:43):
You did not see that coming?
Speaker 3 (56:44):
No, I didn't.
Speaker 1 (56:45):
Do you think that Becky Lynch may not realize the
level to which you know you're talking aout Nikki Bella,
the longest reigning Divis champion. You're talking at Niki Bello,
who's a Hall of Famer. You're talking at Nikki Bella,
who's I mean she she's like she said, I mean,
she laid the blueprint.
Speaker 6 (56:59):
For a lot of this she did, and everything you're
saying about her is absolutely right.
Speaker 3 (57:04):
And I think a lot of people.
Speaker 6 (57:07):
Have maybe looked at Nicki Bella and said, Okay, yeah
you did that, but that was then.
Speaker 3 (57:11):
This is now and Bella.
Speaker 2 (57:13):
I mean a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (57:14):
Who's a lot of people that have said, I mean,
I heard Becky say that, but that's one.
Speaker 6 (57:18):
I mean, even Nikki Bella when she came on this
show talking about how difficult it has been to come back, right.
Speaker 1 (57:24):
Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that Becky Lynch bringing up
previous relationships that's probably that shock of cold water that
you need to get right back into the throw of things. Yeah,
that's true, you know what I mean, Like like, sometimes
people just need a reason to want to beat somebody up.
And I do think that Becky Lynch has given Nicky Bella.
Speaker 3 (57:43):
That reason, oh, without question, right.
Speaker 6 (57:45):
But I think that's the version of Nikki Bella that
beck Lynch wants her best.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
Yes, oh, which would make it preposterous to say that
Becky Lynch is a coward, because a coward wouldn't want that.
Speaker 6 (58:00):
That's what I'm saying about Nikki. I mean, now you
just convinced yourself into agreeing with.
Speaker 2 (58:04):
It's an if then statement.
Speaker 1 (58:05):
If you're correct about Becky wanting Nikky to be at
her best, then Becky is not a coward, Bengo.
Speaker 2 (58:13):
If then Bengo.
Speaker 1 (58:15):
But which, But you would still have to prove beyond
reasonable doubt that Nikky that Becky wants Nicky at her best.
If you could prove that, then it would in turn
prove that Becky's not a coward.
Speaker 2 (58:25):
To be completely fair, Becky.
Speaker 6 (58:27):
I know she wants she wants everybody to be at
their best.
Speaker 2 (58:30):
Becky.
Speaker 3 (58:31):
You know, yeah, that's the Becky.
Speaker 6 (58:32):
I know.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
Come on, I didn't realize.
Speaker 2 (58:34):
I didn't realize you were so uh fact based.
Speaker 6 (58:39):
Yeah, I'm a journalist Medill School of Journalism.
Speaker 3 (58:44):
Hello, Robert, fact fact based?
Speaker 2 (58:47):
No, I know you are.
Speaker 1 (58:48):
I know.
Speaker 2 (58:49):
Look, it's an impressive school you went to.
Speaker 1 (58:51):
So right, they don't just let any nick in there.
Speaker 3 (58:53):
They didn't let you in.
Speaker 1 (58:54):
No, certainly not, certainly not. And I applied they rejected me.
Speaker 3 (58:58):
That's right, that's right, as they should have.
Speaker 1 (59:01):
So Jacon Liberty's now so speaking of intercontinental champions we also.
Speaker 3 (59:09):
Speaking of cowards.
Speaker 1 (59:10):
I'm like, why would you?
Speaker 2 (59:11):
I was so good to you and the whole Becky segment.
Speaker 3 (59:13):
Yeah, you backed me up.
Speaker 6 (59:15):
I was so just putting over Becky on how she
defends this Intercontinental championship. Dominic has a match to defend
his Intercontinental championship against a j and he's.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
Like, oh, I don't want to.
Speaker 1 (59:26):
Becky was challenged to defend the title tonight and she
said no, not till Sunday.
Speaker 3 (59:30):
Yeah, because the people in Birmingham suck.
Speaker 1 (59:32):
They do.
Speaker 3 (59:33):
That's according to Becky, and I've never been there, so
I'm gonna take her word for.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
It, because she's fairly trustworthy or at least accurate about
a lot of stuff that's right. New York Times best
selling author Wow Wow, No, I mean, Dominic's defending the title.
But by the way, Domini was just in a championship
match for the Triple A Mega Championship. He's wrestling all
over the place, and and yeah, I don't I'm excited
to see AJ Styles versus Dominque material.
Speaker 2 (59:59):
But let me ask you this.
Speaker 1 (01:00:01):
If Dominic Mysterio beats AJ Styles next week, I think
he might have something to say to Finn Balor.
Speaker 2 (01:00:09):
They're like, hey, bro, look who I just beat.
Speaker 1 (01:00:12):
By the way, Dominic's already beaten AJ Styles before. If
we could really break this down people like they're talking
about like you know, who's in the right and who's
in the wrong here, Dominic already beat AJ Styles like that,
like the idea of like we have to figure out
the only reason like AJ Styles, this is just facts now,
same way we had facts for Becky Lynch.
Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
And a lot of your facts are right, and that's
why I wasn't. I can't fight a lot of them.
Speaker 1 (01:00:37):
But like, realistically, when you break down what's going on
with Dominic and AJ Styles, you could make an argument
that Dominic was avoiding AJ styles before, Yes, you could. Regardless,
they got to Summer Slam, Dominic beat AJ Styles and
AJ was the one being sneaky.
Speaker 6 (01:00:56):
And then AJ was sneaky again at Triple Mania and
then a sneaky again tonight on Raw.
Speaker 1 (01:01:01):
So it's like AJ has been stalking Dominic because he's
mad that he lost.
Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
Are you a little jealous that he's stalking him?
Speaker 2 (01:01:09):
I'm I could stalk Dominic if I wanted to.
Speaker 1 (01:01:15):
AJ is mad that Dominic outsmarted him, and the game
that AJ decided to play. AJ's the one who put
flames on his tights. AJ's the one who put a
Style's heat shirt on. AJ's the one who drove a
lowrider to the ring, and then Dominic beats him with
an Eddie trick to go like, bro, what are you
even doing right to me? It's like, not only did
(01:01:36):
I beat you in the Intercontinental title match, I outsmarted you,
and since then AJ won't let it go and is
now stalking Dominic. Mysterio and this Adam Pierce goes I
know what we're gonna do reward aj Styles, and I go,
what is this? The twilight Zone? Is this Henry Bemis
and his glasses are broken? Now he's finally got time
to read.
Speaker 2 (01:01:55):
What are we doing?
Speaker 1 (01:01:57):
Am?
Speaker 2 (01:01:57):
I did I take cuckoo pills?
Speaker 3 (01:01:59):
Wow? We are both kind of on the same page.
Speaker 6 (01:02:01):
I agree with you on Dominic, you agreed with me
on Becky, and we both are criticizing Adam Pierce.
Speaker 1 (01:02:08):
Well, you know, I'll tell you this, probably if you'd
put money on that, you would have won a lot,
because the odds are not great that that happen. And
we especially after that Rock Sand interview, that got tense
between us, but we still.
Speaker 2 (01:02:21):
End up on the same page.
Speaker 3 (01:02:22):
I love it all right.
Speaker 1 (01:02:23):
That's why sometimes you gotta put the smart money on
what you want to happen. And look, the Fanatics NFL
Survivor Pool is live now in the.
Speaker 2 (01:02:33):
Fanatics, Ab Megan, they're calling your name.
Speaker 3 (01:02:36):
