(00:01):
Welcome to everybody, says Robert fromthe WWE Ringside podcast, and SmackDown just
got over. So we're gonna kindof go over some things on it.
I'm not gonna touch on everything, just kind of some points I want to
talk about here. So we gotthe two triple threat matches tonight for the

(00:27):
World Heavyweight Championship, and the firstone started off the show. We got
Edge versus AJ Styles versus Ray Mystereo, and this match I thought was a
great way to kick off the show. It was a great match. I
thought Edge was gonna win, butI mean it was really a It was

(00:51):
neck and neck between AJ and Edge. Back when with Edge, but there
was some weird a decade Hurcan Rotadouble Hrcan rot into a six one nine
which was look looked really weird. There was I think one other spot in

(01:14):
this match, but I can't rememberwhat west spot it was at this moment.
It was a little bit weird too, but they were trying and it
looked overall it was a great match. In the end, we do get
a weird finish. Looked like Mysteriojumped off the ape, jumped off the

(01:37):
turnbuckle, and it looked like Edgemight have tried to spear or Mysterio,
so he kind of got on witha spear, and then we got AJ
hitting the phenomenal forearm and picking upthe w on Edge and Mysterio moving on
to the main event. And inthe next triple Threat match, it was

(01:57):
Bobby Lashley versus Shamus versus Austin Theory. And I don't fully think that anybody
thought Austin Theory was gonna actually winthis match. I feel like there was
no shot that Theory was gonna winthis match. I wanted Shamus. I

(02:22):
would have loved to see Shamus moveon to at least to semi finals to
face off with AJ. But wedo get Lastly, it gets the wu.
Lashly did get busted open in thismatch. Theory what was it?
I believe Lashly hit Shamus with aspear, and Theory tried to sneak to

(02:46):
w by pulling Lashley off of Shamelessand thring him into the turn buckle I
like the post and then jumping onShamus, who kicked out at too.
But in that exchange Lashly it lookedlike it was During this exchange anyways,

(03:07):
he appeared to hit his head onthe post and it busted him open,
and towards the end of the matchit was quite the Crimson mask, to
say the least. It was allover his face blood. And I don't
know why we're seeing so much bloodlately. I don't I'm not complaining.

(03:31):
I love seeing blood when it's warranted, and it's definitely been warranted. But
I mean, I thought we werePG and thought that wasn't wasn't supposed to
be blood. However, I actuallylooked this up because I was curious.

(03:53):
It looks like according to tv PGguidelines, blood is allowed. However,
it can't be excessive or super detailedlike gory. It can't be super gory
and bloody. So if these guysare just getting cuts that start bleeding,

(04:16):
that still falls under the TVPG guidelines. So I don't know if they're just
pushing that boundary with the UFC kindof coming in, kind of trying to
add that more realistic aspect to it, or or what if it's like the
partnership with Mattel, is that whythey don't do blood. I mean,

(04:41):
I don't know, because somebody clearthat up for me, because I don't
know if it's because they don't doblood because of the TV guidelines for PG,
or they don't do blood because theirspownership with Mattel. Maybe it's both.
Maybe, I mean, I clue, I really don't know, and
I probably should but to me itwould be a little bit of both.

(05:02):
Their image is they didn't want toout there with bloody with blood for a
PG product. However, with bloodbeing allowed NPG, I think we might
see him a little bit more andit's very welcomed. Um. I think

(05:25):
that it just adds a more realisticaspect to the match. But in this
match, Jake said, we doend up getting lashly who does get the
victory? Um, let's see here. Moving on, we didn't get a

(05:50):
camera. Grimes match against Baron Corpanlasted all but two seconds. He Corwin
charged at Grimes. As soon asthe bell Grimes hit his finish shirt.
Match was over. What a wasteof fucking time it did? It look
made Grimes look kind of good. But at the same time, what did

(06:13):
we really see? Whatever we reallylearn about Grimes and this it was there
was nothing. There was just afinish. Um. I don't know.
I look the hope to see morebecause I am definitely curious on on a
few of these NXT people like Grimesand like Waller, who we do get

(06:35):
to see next week with the Graysand Waller effect. Um, and let's
to hear um, we're going totalk about Roman. At the end,

(06:59):
Um, we got a really Idon't know, it was a decent match
between Live and Live Rackel versus DamageControl for the women's tag team titles.
Really in the end, Live endedup getting Bailey with a roll up.

(07:23):
Jn't exactly know or care about this. The announcers mentioned something about Megan the
Stallion and Cardi b Challenge or goingup against Live and Rackell it out of
champions. I can't really confirm thatright now. I did see reports about

(07:45):
that though, why what the fuck? I mean? I liked their music,
but I want to see him ina ring. It'll be, I
guess, a fun match for tenminutes whatever they want to give them.
But do we really expect the qualityto be good in this match? And

(08:09):
we don't see how you can.So moving forward, we got Bianca bell
Air and she was having a celebrationbecause they're in I believe they were in
Knoxville, Tennessee or Nashville or somewherein Tennessee, and it's by or near

(08:33):
her home where where she grew up. So every time they go come here
around here, they they always throwthese celebrations for Bianca. And I get
it. She's now become the longestreigning women's champion in modern day history.
Whatever. That's great, But whenthis segment started, I was like,

(08:54):
Fuck my life, this is gonnabe a boring segment because I'm just tired
of of of a face Bianca.Every time she talks on the microphone,
it puts me to sleep. It'sso boring and draining, and I really
want her to turn heel. Ijust don't know when they will um.

(09:24):
But when she was coming out,she was kind of, you know,
upon the turnbuckle, holding her beltup in the air, and we get
Oscar, who comes out and shetries to shake. She shakes Bianca's hand,
doesn't let her go and then spitsmissed in her face and we didn't

(09:46):
get to hear anything from Bianca. She didn't get to speak at all.
It was just a quilly quick segment, which made me really happy because I
didn't have to hear her fucking speakand that was nice. So we do
we get the turn from Oscar, who is presumably turning heel. I would

(10:11):
assume we're getting this match at nineof Champions. I don't know what they
do. Maybe Oscar wins the title. They I don't know. I don't
know what's going on with the titles. We have a raw title, the

(10:31):
Raw champion on SmackDown, and vicefirst the SmackDown Champion on Raw. This
hasn't been addressed two shows in actinglike it's nothing, but why. I
want to know why? Why thehell are the why the hell are the

(10:52):
titles on the opposite shows, andit hasn't been addressed, not oh hey,
in two weeks we're into a titlesor oh hey, they're going to
give an vocation match or anything, give us something, but blatantly ignoring it
just makes them look stupid. AndI really hope that we get an explanation

(11:15):
as to what's going to happen withthe titles, hopefully soon. I don't
know if we are, but theyhaven't shown indications of it. They're both
in programs now when Italia is withRhea and Oscar is with bel Air,

(11:39):
So I mean, I don't seeI I don't know it's flabergasting and it's
fucking ridiculous, but that's what they'redoing. So I guess for now we
kind of just got a role withit and see what happens. But definitely
definitely want an explanation as to what'sgoing on with the women's titles on both

(12:03):
Raw and SmackDown being an opposite soopposite shows. But anyway, moving forward
to the main event, Bobby Lashlyversus aj Styles and the winner moves on
to face Seth Freakin' Rollins at Nightof Champions for the World Heavyweight Championship.

(12:24):
So this match was was. Iliked it. It was a great main
event. You could clearly see thebump on Lashle's Lashly's head from the triple
threat match. Um actually paused itone time when they were showing his face

(12:46):
and I paused it and where thebump where he got split open, His
head was square. You could seea bump and it just kind of squayed.
His head looks square on that side. It was gnarly. I mean,
it had to hurt. There's noway that felt good. And for

(13:07):
him to go out there and keepgoing, I mean, these people don't
get enough credit for for what theygo through what they work through. Like
if any normal person gets their headssplit open at work, they're going home,

(13:28):
they're done for the day, They'redone for a couple of days,
maybe even, But these people keepwrestling. Finn Balor getting fourteen staples in
his head at WrestleMania and then stillfighting the next day, or Nick owned
Raw two days later, whatever thatwas. Like these guys and these men
and women are I mean, theyhad taken for granted because it's a TV

(13:54):
show and I gave me think ofthem as characters. But they're real people
and they got real feelings, andwhen they're getting split open, it doesn't
feel good. When they are gettinghit in the spot I got split open
and they're bleeding everywhere, it doesn'tfeel good. I mean, they go

(14:16):
through so many injuries, and Ijust think it gets taken for granted.
So lashly was I don't know ifthey stitched him up or did some glue
or something between matches to get himtore he would not bleed, but it

(14:37):
didn't work. It was a fewminutes into this match, but he eventually
did get started bleeding again all overhis face. It looks great. I'm
sorry, I know some people don'tlike the blood. I hear the complaints
on Twitter, and y'all can bitchall you want, hour Lay don't give

(15:03):
a fuck when it comes down toit. I like seeing the blood in
the matches. I like that Mocksleybleaks in his matches. Maybe not quite
so much, you can tone downa little bit. Doesn't be every fucking
match, mockx, But for themost part, I like it. Like
you're in a fight. You're gettingyour your your face is getting samthing the

(15:28):
turnbuckle, your face is getting kicked, getting smashed into the match, getting
punched, getting elbowed, getting kneedYou're you're gonna guess, but what the
fuck open? I'm sorry, notevery match, That's why it hasn't happened
every single match. But when thesebig, burly guy guys go out there,

(15:48):
when you get Cody Rhodes and BrockLessener there Lessener's a big ass dude,
there should be blood. If someonethat big is hitting you that hardened
to face over and over and overagain, and you're not blading at all
night in a bump or a scrape, where's the realism in that? So?

(16:12):
Yes, I like the blood whenit's warranted. Not every match,
but for fuck's sake, there's thereshould be blood. You're fighting, like,
I don't understand that. Complaints onTwitter, I'm seeing it's absolutely ridiculous.

(16:33):
But we do get aj Styles whopicks up the w here and he
does move on to face Seth freakingRollins at Night of Champions. So the
last thing I want to talk aboutis the tribal chief, Roman Reins was
on this episode. He returned sinceI believe the first time we've seen him

(16:59):
since Russell Mania UM and I wasdefinitely excited. I wanted to see what
Roman had to say to the usso's. I wanted to see what what was
said. I wanted to hear.I wanted to witness Roman's anger, and

(17:22):
I wanted to see how it playedout. And we definitely got a swerve
that I didn't expect for damn sure, I don't think anybody expect ex I
heard nobody, nobody saything about it. What we got in this segment um
so, we got Roman talking aboutwhat solo. So what we got was

(17:49):
I'm gonna read some some quotes here. I pulled it up on Pleacher Report
of the segment um so some ofthese quote, well, it's gonna read
some of them for you. Wegot Well, we're talking about Solo.
Let's be honest, Solo swims likea shark, Rain said, admitting that

(18:14):
there was concern about him running withthe bloodline on the main roster, balling
the best in the business and succeeding. There were concerns people were saying that
there were concerns when Solo first startedthat he wouldn't succeed because he's with the
big dogs. He's with the bestin the business. And that's when he

(18:38):
called Solo a shark. He thensaid that, you know, he is
an enforcer and he takes care ofall the problems. He you know,
the problem, Solo eliminates it.He takes out the problems and he's sepped

(19:00):
in when Roman was gone. Andthen he turned to Stolo and he said,
there's a problem, but it's nota Sammy Kevin. There's a problem,
a real problem. But the problemis your brothers. So he points
his fingers at Jay and Roman asthe new problems. Jay and Jimmy as

(19:21):
the new problem. So he walkedover to the usso's and he, you
know, he talks them about theylost the main event of WrestleMania. They
lost the tag team titles, andthey got the rematch, and they devoted
the match to Roman, and thenthey lost it again, and Roman want

(19:42):
to know why he attached his nameto that match, and then Roman said,
why are you devoting a tag teammatch to me? I'm not even
a tag team. I'm the greatestsingle champion of all time. I'm not
a tag team. We have Hallof Fame tag teams in our bloodline,

(20:06):
but you devoted it to me,a single star, disrespecting our family name.
He then asked Jimmy and Jay toapologize, and they reluctantly. Jimmy

(20:30):
Morrisse was kind of grinning and laughing, and Roman didn't like that. He
ended up pushing Jimmy, put hishand in his face and just kind of
pushed him back, and then saidyou're gonna do something. And then Jimmy

(20:53):
just kind of stood there, huffingand puffing, looking all upset, and
then he turned to Roman like hewas going to do something, and then
Jay stepped in front between them bothand said, we apologize us. We're
sorry, We're apologized, we're done. We're sorry, we're done, We're

(21:15):
good and then he asked for onemore title match for the tag team titles
Jaded to prove his loyalty to Romanand the blood Line. They're going to
bring the titles back to the bloodLine. And then Roman says, you're
right, we are going to bringthe tiles back to the blood Line.

(21:37):
Hayman pulled some strings and and Hayman'sgot some stuff to say, so Hayman
filled us in, and Hayman saidthat the blood Line pulled some strings with
the Board of Director or whatever hesaid. And at Night of Champions it'll
be Kevin Owens and Sammy Zane defendingtheir WWE Undisputed tag team titles against not

(22:03):
the USOS but Solo, Sakoa andRoman Reigns. And that's kind of where
that segment really ended. I believethere was kind of some The USOS looked
upset, they looked portrayed, andRoman, Solo and Paul I believe walked

(22:26):
out right after this, and thenthe USO followed shortly after, but definitely
behind. So that kind of wasa quick running and a SmackDown. I'm
gonna talk more about the Roman thingin just a second, but if you
could please follow me on Twitter atpodcast Underscore WWE. We will be getting

(22:48):
our YouTube up shortly. I'm stillkind of working on some of the back
stuff, but we will hopefully begina YouTube channel up and running and with
some videos up, and we'll begetting that started here soon hopefully. But
again, if you can fall uson Twitter at podcast, Underscore WWE,

(23:10):
it'll be greatly appreciated. So backto Roman Night of Champions. We're not
getting Roman in a one on onematch on US one thousand, one thousandth
day. We're getting Roman in atag team match. And I'm not sure

(23:34):
where they want to go with this. I think they can go two different
ways. I don't ultimately, Idon't think Roman and Solo are gonna lose
this match. I don't think Romanloses on one thousandth day. However,
there's a little piece of me thatsays, maybe they do lose. Roman

(24:02):
didn't won't get pinned Kao and Sammyjust got doctor durraw I. You can't
say it was fresh blood, Iguess because it's a floating belt. But
we're getting with like the imperium withSammy and Ko was different. We didn't
see that before. I kind ofwant to see them intertwined with other tag

(24:29):
teams a little bit more. Ifight a little bit more meat on this
bone, so to speak. Butmaybe at summer Sam get a Ko versus
Sammy match one on one because theylost their titles up mounting the bank.
But if if you're gonna do that, why not drop them here? So

(24:53):
I could see resentment from the USOSand they come out to try and help
Moment and Solo and end up costingthem. They cost they embarrassed the family
again. They're just trying to help, but it cost the family and it

(25:15):
pisses off Roman more. Solo endedup taking a loss in all of this,
taking the pen and one thousandth Day'ssupposed to be a great celebration day.
He ends up losing and not gettingthe taking the house because of the
usso's creating a major rift. Icould definitely see that. However, with

(25:42):
one last theory out there, thisisn't my theory. I heard this from
Lexei Stars. You can find heron Twitter at Lexei Stars twenty one.
She told me that she thinks,I don't know house will play out exactly.
It's very rough, but the USOSactually do get another tag team title.

(26:06):
Shot against Sammy and Kao like thenight before the Payer re View or
something, and Sammy and Ko actuallylose the titles to the USOS and we
get the USOS versus Roman and Solofor the tag team titles at NATA champions

(26:30):
I don't know, it's kind ofa theory. It's out there. I
guess you can say it's out there. I don't quite know about the situation
with Sammy in Saudi Arabia. Isaw reports that maybe that's all cleared up
and he's good to go there now. Whatever beef there was or what a

(26:52):
political thing is all cleared up,But I don't quite know. I'm dug
into a deep enough yet. Soif he can't go, then then her
logic, her thought is better thananybody's right now to me. But if
they are able to go, thenthere's no weather doing that match. They're

(27:12):
gonna do probably a swerve and haveRoman and Stolo lose. But that's what
I got for you, yes tonightagain. You can follow us on Twitter
at podcast Underscore wwe lookout for ourYouTube channel hitting shortly hopefully. Um yeah,

(27:37):
that's what I got for you.I hope you guys have a good
one. Hope you guys enjoyed SmackDown, enjoy the weekend, and we will
be here hopefully next week, hopefullytalking about Raw maybe or maybe some some
news. I will stee be gotgo on next week, but hope off
a good one piece
