WWE Backlash Preview and Predictions

WWE is holding it's next PLE on Saturday. Backlash is here and I am breaking it down and giving you my predictions.

Welcome everybody. This is Robert fromthe w W Ringside podcast and we're going
over Backlash. Um, this isgonna be our prediction episode SmackDown. Jess
went off the air and I thoughtI would get this out to you right
away. Um, I'm not reallygonna go We're SmackDown. This is more

of a Backlash one thing though beforeI do go over, sorry, before
I to go over. The backlashcard is the World Heavyweight title and we're
doing what sounds like two triple threatson Raw and two triple threats on SmackDown.

Um, this is gonna be takingplace on the Raw and SmackDown following
Backlash next week. Um, we'regonna have two triple threats on Raw.
Where are the winners of the twotriple threats? Will then face off I'm
guessing the main event and then samelyon SmackDown, and whoever comes out of

that quote unquote tournament to calling it, we'll face off at Night of Champions
at the end of May. Thisto me is stupid. Why why in
the fuck are there SmackDown stars inthis fight for the World Heavyweight title.

(01:34):
It's supposed to be brand exclusive,just like Roman his brand exclusive. His
titles are brand exclusive. The WorldHeavyweight title is brand exclusive to Raw,
so why in the fuck is theregoing to be a SmackDown superstar vying for
it. They should be going afterRoman Reigns, who's on their brand.

So to me, this doesn't makesense. I don't know who's gonna come
out of it. I'm going toassume we're gonna get Lashly on SmackDown and
on Raw. I kind of wantto say Seth. I think we might

get Seth versus Bobby, But thenwhere it is Cody on the card,
I think Cody has to be onthe card. Who would Cody face off
against? So I mean it's it'sobviously gonna be Cody or Seth from Raw.
If they don't have plans for Romanto lose the title anytime soon,

which it doesn't sound there is anyplans for it, then maybe Cody does
take the title as a I guess, a consolation prize, whatever the fuck
you want to call it. Butit's it's mind boggling to me that you

have SmackDown Stars going for this title, which I guess ultimately means Rains could
end up winning it. If SmackDownStars are allowed in it? Why can't
rains be part of this triple threat? Could you imagine the uproar? Could

you imagine how pissed off people wouldbe if Roman ends up winning it all
and nine have Champions is one thousandthday, that is his opponent whoever is
on Raw winner Tagal. Could Juliaimagine that? Though? If Roman ended
up winning it, I think thatwould be you know, it would cause

chaos. I think it'll piss alot of people off, but I think
it'd be kind of fun to seefor a little bit. But I don't
I don't think we're going that route. I don't think they want to put
a third title on Roman. There'sno way. There's no way to do
that. So let's move on whywe are all here the backlash card.

M Let's start off with let's seeAustin theory in a triple threat against Bobby
Lashley and Bronson read for the UnitedStates Championship, and this one here read

being on Raw, it doesn't makesense for him to win it. The
other two are on SmackDown, whichis where the title would go because goother
is on Raw with the icy title. So to me, it comes down
to last year Theory, and withthis tournament going on, I think last
she's gonna win it. So Idon't think he's gonna win the US title

because he already has the title onhim. So I think Theory retains.
There's a lot of fresh blood onhim or on the SmackDown brand for him.
I mean so, I think we'rejust getting star started with Theory,
and I think he could really holdthe title, maybe even until WrestleMania.

I really think he might hold itfor quite some time. I think Reid
will get a really strong showing inthis match, though I do think they
want to push him, and Ithink this will be a great a great
launch pad. Although not getting thewin, I think Hill still look really

great in the ring. Next,let's go to the I want to say
the SmackDown Women's title, Ria Ripleyversus the Ina Vega. Does Vega really
have a shot. I know they'rein Puerto Rico, but Ripley just won

the title. There's no way,no way it's coming off of her.
I mean no, there's just noway Ripley's gonna win. And we'll see
what sorry, We'll see where theygo from here. I think that Ripley.

(06:36):
It's just getting started. I thinkshe's gonna hold the belt also for
quite some time. Now, let'smove on to a match on the card
that makes no fucking sense, absolutelyno sense, seth Rawlins versus Omas.

Oh right, So on this match, Omas is he loses to people his
size, and everybody that is nothis size he's beaten. Um. But

I think that in this match,we're going to finally get to somebody that's
not his size that beats him.I think if Rawlins is going to be
a viable candidate for this World heavyweighttitle, he has to win on Sunday.
There's just no way around it.If he loses, why the why
the fuck would he win the nextnight on Monday or two nights later on

Monday. I mean, okay,he got you lost to Omas, but
then you win the role here,wouldn't It's not gonna It doesn't seem to
add up right, So to me, there's no way around it. Rawlins
is winning this match if he's gonnabe made a contender at all in this

tournament. The only way I seeOmas winning is if they have him face
Roman at Night of Champions, becausethe loss wouldn't matter, but I don't
see that happening as well. Ihave a different avenue. I have a
different opponent for Roman at Night ofChampions that I will mention here in just

a little bit. So we gotseth Rawlins beating Omas. Now let's go
to do raw Women's championship match,Bianca bel Air versus EO Sky. Now.

I was on the bandwagon for EOSguy winning this match all the way
up until just recently, and onSmackDown they said that Bellaire would I believe,

pass or become the longest reigning women'schampion in the modern era with a
win on Saturday. So that kindof put the nail in the coffin.
From my thought process, there's noway Bianca bell Air is going to lose.
I think they get her this farwith the reports of them wating to

can I re re why sorry rewritesome of their record books. This is
one that they can easily just rewriteon Saturday and put DONC bell Airs the
longest reigning champion women champion of monera. So I don't think there's any

way she loses. I think youmight get a Bailey interaction causing EO to
lose to further that drift, thatrift and damage control. But um,
yeah, there's no way Bellair islosing. I got bank of Bianca Belair

winning this match hands down, mostlikely with a Bailey distraction for EO.
Um no, let's do Cody Rhodesversus Brock Lessner this one. I mean,

the same case is made for Codyfor Seth for the tournament. I
think you need him to win ifyou're gonna have him even have a shot
winning in the turn, because howdo you have Cody loose to Lessener and
then on raw end up winning thewhole tournament to move on to Night champions
Like he just lost to brock Lessener, but now you award of the championship

match. It's not gonna happen.I think that's gonna be a mountain for
Cody to climb. I think thatLessener is going to absolutely destroy Cody Roads.
But in the end, I don'tsee how Cody Roads is going to

lose this match because if he doesn'twin the tournament, if Seth wins it,
you would have him lose to Lessenerand then lose in the tournament again
on Monday two days later. Twolosses in less than a week and he

has only one loss up Lee wonhis record up till now. They're not
going to give him two losses ina week. He's gonna win the tournament
or if he Winnen's Listener. Ifhe loses against Lessner, I mean,
I don't think he's gonna lose thetournament then, but you can't have him
win the tournament if he loses Lestner. So back to my beasonal point,

bron Lessner is going to lose andCody Rhodes is going to walk out of
Backlash as the winner. Man,you know he'll be in the tournament come
Monday. Um, Bad Bunny versusDamian Priest and what was San Juan or

Puerto Rican street fight? I believeI'm intrigued him for this match. Um,
there's a lot that could happen withthis match. We don't typically see
celebrities in this kind of a rolebecause of the danger aspect, but Bad

Bunny is here. He's not playing, he's here to wrestle. He's here
to taking it seriously, and Idefinitely commend him for that. I command
Logan Paul for that. I mean, I think he hands down the two
best celebrity wrestlers that they've ever broughtin. They've shown that they could do

it full time if they wanted to, if they wanted to make it this
their career, they could do that. I think both of them this is
gonna be a really good match.And with it being a street fight,
there's no DQ, so the onlyLWO presence on them night is Lena Vega

and Bad Bunny, So I wouldn'tbe surprised to see l WO get involved,
which would bring there on the restof the Judgment Day and maybe began
on an impromptu match between Ray andDom l w O versus Judgment Day.
Who knows, but I do thinkthey're gonna be involved in this match in

some way, most likely just it'sstill gonna be a one on one match.
It probably won't get any more matchesat it. It's just gonna be
LWO coming in and stand up forBad Bunny and vice versa. With the
Judgment Day and priest Um, it'sgonna be fun. I'm excited for this

match. Han's gonna be a reallygood, hard hitting match with the weapons
and what's wrong with that? Now? The last match, the six man
take Ko and Sammy I don't emailwhen I think Bad Bunny is gonna beat
Dami Priest. There's no way thatDodd Priests are gonna win this match.

Unfortunately for him that they've made himlook so strong. But Bad Bunny in
Puerto Rico. Sorry, man,he's he's their hero. He's there,
John Cena, He's gonna win thismatch. Um, hands down. Um.
Now the Six Man Tag, Koand Sammy and Matt Riddle versus the

USOS and Solo Sakoa. So tofurther the story for the blood line collapsing,
Um, there's no way that they'rewinning. So right off the bat,
he got my prediction. Ko andSammy and a Riddle they're gonna win.

Um. But this is more soabout the math, the aftermath.
This is more so about the bloodline. On SmackDown tonight, we had
a backstage segment with the USOS sayinghow they were gonna win. Jimmy said,
I'm gonna win. He asked,Solo, you're gonna win? Upo

what you say he was saying?And yes and Jays they all said yes.
For Solo and Jay Herni, Solosaid, my brother asked you a
question, and then Solo says Iheard him, I had to want to
answer or some side effect, andhe said on Saturday, I'm gonna do

my job and take care of mybusiness. The question is are you or
he says, and you better takecare of your job as well, or
something to that effect, basically sayingif we lose and it's because of either
of you, I'm taking your assout no more a game. Solo said

he can do his part and they'dbetter do theirs. As he's putting down
on his thumb all taped up forthis month's bike, I think we we
might get him dropping him after itgoes off the air. What if Roman
comes out and says drop him andSolo just drops them. You know,

if it's not a backlash on SmackDown, the usos are fucked Romans back on
SmackDown. Shit's gonna start going downand here we go Roman reigns and Night
of Champions. I'm laying it outfor you. I've heard a lot of
names out there for who he couldface, and I'm telling you it's gonna

be Jay Ussou started with the bloodlinejust the one thousand days celebration. At
a thousand days, Roman still standstall over Jay, give us him the
beating he deserves for losing the titlesand disgracing Roman and just gracing the family.

But ultimately it's it's like three weeksaway, only I don't think you
can build up a competitor for aRoman in three weeks because it's not gonna
be Cody. Cody's on Raw,it's not gonna be Seth. Seth is
on Raw, So you gotta trya fresh feud, and I just don't

think you can do that in threeweeks for a one thousand day when celebration.
I mean, so it could beOmas is a free agent, but
then again at a fresh story,So it wouldn't make sense to me.

Jay, there is story there.There's a lot of story there. So
yeah, three weeks, you don'tneed that long build for a good story
for Roman. It's already there.So I think at Night of Champions we're

gonna get Roman versus Jay. Andit might even be if Jay loses,
he's banished from the family, he'sbanished from the bloodline, and who knows,
they could throw some stipulation on it. It's wwe forgot Christ's sake,
But that's what I'm going with I'mgoing with at Night of Champions, I

am throwing it out there. I'mgonna say we're gonna get Beyonca versus Rhea
in the unification match. I thinkwe're going to get Roman versus Jay,
and I think we're going to getBobby versus That's hard. I'm gonna say

Rawlins, but it easily could beCody. I wouldn't be surprised if it
was Cody. But I don't seeanybody but Bobby and have to look at
the new SmackDown rosters. But that'sthat's really and that's only these newton NXT
guys like Grayson and Waller comes outof nowhere. That's a way to really

really start them off. Um,but the only one would be greatest and
Waller for me and that, butI think he's not there yet. So
that's what I got. I thinkwe're gonna go Lastly versus Rawlins and that
Champions. But that's what I gotfor you guys. Um again that my

picks are Theory retains Ripley, retainsBellair, retains Bad Bunny to Priest Chaos,
Stammon Riddle defeat USOS, Some Bloodsand the Solo Roads Beats Less Near
