got to go over the New England victory. So Union
win three in a row has never happened first time
in club history, so that's kind of good. And they
want in New England and Sabah, you were there. I mean,

how cold was it compared to the last game in
Super U Park versus this game in New England?

He was pretty much the same. He was just a
very wind you know, I'd even go on a few
to check. I prefer to stay inside the radio booth,
but he was. He was definitely you know, let me
less win the only field that he was on the
street because of the big stadium, and he stopped a
little bit, but still you know, it was an element

Yeah, it looked cold and windy, So I don't know.
And that turface never never looks great. Looks better on
with football, but never looks great. So Adam, you want
to give your thoughts on this to nothing win with
Ty Barribo scoring his six goal in three games.

First, I want to say, what the heck New England.
That fan base used to be very strong, and I
don't really blame them so much, but whatever is happening
up in there in New England, They're not that great
of a club at the moment on fourm and wise
on the on the field, but that was a scarce crowd,
to say the least. It could not have been remotely

close to their imported numbers. And that was I mean,
that was that was for a club that I respect
a lot. That was pretty embarrassing I just saw off
the bat. But in terms of the play on the
actual field, look, I felt that the Union did exactly
what the Union do, especially against their opponents that are
within a four hundred mile radius of them. You know,

the Union are pretty dominant against the teams that reside
in the Mid Atlantic region slash New England, and they
continue to do so. It was a game that for
the most part, it just didn't really feel like New
England really got their act together, and I feel like
the Union were pretty choking in terms of their how
they wanted to handle it and on the two goals.

To me, there was a couple of more chances and
opportunities where I thought the Union had got on the
board before that. But you know, I just I think
it was a well played game from starting to finish.

Negative of like I think we can now sense, you know,
I think the first two games, like one game happens,
it's one thing. Two games happened. Another three games we
might be able to say this might be an identity
or the beginnings of an identity.

was a little nervous. I don't know how you guys felt.

Yeah, but I think it was it was a sort
of game like we talk about it. No, it was
kind of a trap game for them, kind of coming
into a team who lack of confidence, player holmants to
kind of try to start their season. But I think
the first half was you know, absolutely not crazy. You
know about the chances maybe the one of Gazdak could
have been you know, in But after that, I think

the second half, you really see, like physically and you know,
like the reason of the game like really kind of
shows that the Union were going to score, Like you
had a feeling, you know, in the second half they
were pushing, but they were you know, kind of like
the last part and at the end, you know, with
a great cross from a Wagner. You know, did he
bring another assist? You know, as soon as the goal happened,

he was, he was in the film. But v Ne
New England, you know, having Campana maybe coming out you
know at the game after you know five minutes, maybe
a blow for them, and they are not you know,
having any solution.

You know, you didn't see them really being dangerous.

So I think it was a good to have the
first clean sheet as well, and you know keep building
from that for the you know next game home.

Yeah, this, like I said, the first half, I was
a little concerned, but the second half looked looked really good.
I mean tie scores, like we said, he is tying
the MLS record for the most tallies in the first
three games since nineteen eight ninety nine. So what a
start he's having. I forget what he's I think he

scored twenty two goals in his past twenty nine games
is something I might have read, which is just incredible.
Jovan Luca opens up his account with a banger and

hearkening back to old wrestling, like you know, you know
Jacob eight. Yeah, I mean I would just you know,

Yeah, and it was a nice setup by Ali across
back to Indiana. Indy gets his first assist, so everything
was coming up roses and side note, Kai made his
one hundred and seventy fifth appearance for the Union. He's
got four assists, so he leads the MLS with that,
which I mean, all the time we've had Kaile Wagner,
did you think he would have gone one hundred and seventy

No, I thought we were a Solian you know, forty
six games ago. But you know, circumstances be circumstances. But
I mean, look, he's one of the guys that you
make the starting eleven.

He's obviously one of the first people that you pencil in.

You know, he is defensively and offensively one of the
best left backs in the league, if not the best
left back in the league.

Where if this was any other club and their left

he's talented.

do you see this? Is this like a karate kid thing,
a Cobra Kai thing? But I keep seeing Kai Tai
all over Twitter x and even in the blogs. Now
I'm not sure if I like this nickname or not.

see too much because I loved on social media. But
what do they you know, it could be a good connection,
as much as you can connect bevins and happy with that.

those were notable and Blake I think only had to
make one safe. But it was vin to John dre Blake,
and I thought the Luca Donnelly central midfield combo looked
really solid and defense looks solid. I mean we might
have a center back pairing already. What do you guys

I mean again, a player, you know, Markanye didn't see
the field since he arrived, you know, with Jim you know,
I'm when I was hearing, it was like he didn't
have a level or he was not enough, pretty good
enough and just to give a chance. You can see,
like all of those guys who come to the team
in or lookage, who just arrived and are one of
the best players every game start of the season.

But Macan, I think it was a very impressive in
this game, you know, almost giving the first as season
when Gazdag miss you know above the crossbow, like be
sure how powerful he is still technical and offending a
right pass and then you know he was so close
to get the fields good But yeah, I really like it.
I think his confidence is growing, you know, and I

think you can still progress a lot and even get better.

Yep, Adam, your thoughts on I mean, look, I think
this roster is pretty solid, you know, I think.

I mean again, there's a lot of unknowns and I
think when the when you look back at what we
thought the team was, because it wasn't it wasn't a
quick bird. You know, some teams are signing their ten
million dollar guys been in the window, and the union
are not necessarily you know, here's.

Everyone in week one.

They're definitely waiting until up until the end of the
transfer opportunity and train opportunity windows to get in there.

But these guys have worked out. You know that it
doesn't seem like you missed a beat.

I think, and this is the thing you were replacing
easily your best defensive center back or a defensive midge
in the history of the club. I mean, someone can
talk about, you know, a couple of the guys he
played with, but I think when you're trying to place
a guy like Jose Martinez, you know, that's difficult and
for the most part, especially in this like pivot you're

doing right now looks good when you're playing, when you're
replacing a Jack Elliott, a guy who almost want you
an entire temile Esca it's good so far. You know
what I think is not taking it up is Wesby
playing right back right now has been playing his nasties

class at the position when you have adviso and heral
there make them healthy.

And he's still like, I gotta go with Westy.

Because he's playing at the high level right now. For me,
you know, it just seems like in the end, it's
been playing well too.

Now you have a lot of good talent that you're
gonna have to find some playing time for all of them.
But for the most part, these transfers look good and
it's beyond just the money and the figures and all
of that. Do you do they fit the system? Are
their egos too big for the moment?

Can they fit into a system where the Union play
a lot of ego lists soccer?

You know, we don't play guy.

We don't have a number ten or we do, but
we don't rely on our number tens to beat the
last man to score the goals all the time. We
play ticki tachi, We do long balls, we get counter
attacks going, and can you get the right personnel to
come in and fit what you're trying to work with.
So far, you got it going great. I love Alejandro
(12:03):
Medoya coming off the bench. I think he's a sound
veteran leadership towards the close out games. I mean, no note,
so far, they haven't really given me anything to complain about.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Well, and the one thing I'm impressed is we still
haven't seen me for the new big signing, Ian or
center back, so they're both supposed to be healthy. Now
we may see them. So that adds not just starters
that were supposed to begin the year before the injuries,
but now you've seen guys like Westfield and everybody else
(12:34):
having some depth, which is I think the most important
thing because I always thought back in Seba's early days
playing with the Union, we had ten to eleven guys
that I was confident going into a season with any
other MLS team, but as the season were on, we
didn't have the depth. And now it looks like Ernst
has uncovered some depth that we can go on a run.
(12:56):
Playing this phrenetic style is chaos sock, you know, for
a whole am season. So some of your thoughts, I mean,
we haven't seen it yet. I haven't seen Ian. I mean,
what are you thinking about the defense, the new midfield, everything.
I mean, the only thing that's remained the same as
the big three up front that it's been pretty uh
pretty much new in major areas of the field. I mean,

what what what what? What are your thoughts before we
get into some news.
Speaker 7 (13:24):
I mean, yeah, it's it's great to see that you
know right away as the recipe. You know, he really
work and all the guys like Adam Saya, you know,
you know, really in a perfect kind of set of
mind to what they have to do on the field
and you know, really focus on the team and you
know try to everybody bring something, you know, to to get.
Speaker 3 (13:45):
To the results.

So you know, you know as well to you know,
Daniel and you know the new coaching staff to kind
of get that as well very quickly, because it's not
it's not always easy when it comes to a new club.
And you know, so far iever they are doing from
the beginning is working and everybody really feels concerned, which
is great, you know to see from the stub coming

in like in a difference to the guys who maybe
don't play, but you know as practice, you know, keep
pushing the guys who maybe start right now.

It doesn't mean maybe he's going to be the same starter.

You know, next month we might see, like you say,
lots of guys we didn't see yet, and I'm sure
they will help the team, you know, win more games.
But yeah, it's definitely healthy. It's a great environment to
be on. Of course, you know, everybody wants to play.
But like with maybe a game like after the natural game,
we are going to have the same race game and
you know, for the same race game, we're going to

be probably missing a few guys for international call up.

So on that it's like you said, we are going

Maybe it's the little depth the Union has with of
course the younger who need to improve themselves, but we have,
you know, some quality to still win even if maybe
we'll be missing some guys. So I'm excited to see that.
And you know it's just the beginning. But so far,
you know, it's he's being credible.

that's a little scary. And lastly, Vancouver, like your Philadelphia Union,

couple of weeks and then they just eliminate it Monterey
in Conka CAFF Champions Round yesterday so the white Caps
might be the hottest team in all of MLS and
then the Union come on. But that's just the news
around the league so far. Any any thoughts on any

of those teams, Adam, did you see any white Caps action?
I mean, we know Sebastian watches the Pacific Kacadia couple lots,
so he's probably been in tune with watching Vancouver play.

I watched all of the Champions Cup last night because
you know, I is as a proud American, I like
to see how we compete against these other nations in
these sports, even though all of our teams are full
of non Americans now these days, I'm unless.

Anyway, when I was watching them last night, I saw
that Allan Galaxy, you know, a team that has been
getting there but literally kicked all over the season, finally
found a way to score at home in front of

MLS season in comparison to a lot of these other
teams are in the swing. But on the flip side,
when you get faults like Vancouver doing to Monterey in

being on the top of the standings in MLS right
now is interesting. So I look again, as much as

favorites in all of our matches. We're not quite there yet.

So I'm not gonna take this National Game lightly. You know,
there are a couple of wins away from being directly
behind us in the standings, and that's the you know,

what I think is the most encouraging aspect of the

Union recently is the fact that they're able to play
this well on the road, you know, going into an
area like Orlando, which is historically not the easiest place
to play in and getting that result, going into New England, which, yes,
New England's not as good this year, but doing that

So for me, I put my money on the Union
to perform and do well, especially if the weather holds
down and actually has a decent game that the start.

So it's one of those kinds of inituations. Again, betting man,

win three in a row has never happened first time
in club history, so that's kind of good. And they

Super U Park versus this game in New England?

He was pretty much the same. He was just a
very wind you know, I'd even go on a few
to check. I prefer to stay inside the radio booth,

less win the only field that he was on the
street because of the big stadium, and he stopped a
little bit, but still you know, it was an element

Yeah, it looked cold and windy, So I don't know.
And that turface never never looks great. Looks better on

to give your thoughts on this to nothing win with
Ty Barribo scoring his six goal in three games.

First, I want to say, what the heck New England.
That fan base used to be very strong, and I
don't really blame them so much, but whatever is happening
up in there in New England, They're not that great
of a club at the moment on fourm and wise
on the on the field, but that was a scarce crowd,
to say the least. It could not have been remotely

close to their imported numbers. And that was I mean,
that was that was for a club that I respect
a lot. That was pretty embarrassing I just saw off
the bat. But in terms of the play on the
actual field, look, I felt that the Union did exactly
what the Union do, especially against their opponents that are
within a four hundred mile radius of them. You know,
(03:22):
the Union are pretty dominant against the teams that reside
in the Mid Atlantic region slash New England, and they
continue to do so. It was a game that for
the most part, it just didn't really feel like New
England really got their act together, and I feel like
the Union were pretty choking in terms of their how
they wanted to handle it and on the two goals.

To me, there was a couple of more chances and
opportunities where I thought the Union had got on the
board before that. But you know, I just I think
it was a well played game from starting to finish.

And I think that this is the.

Negative of like I think we can now sense, you know,
I think the first two games, like one game happens,
it's one thing. Two games happened. Another three games we
might be able to say this might be an identity

into a team who lack of confidence, player holmants to
kind of try to start their season. But I think
the first half was you know, absolutely not crazy. You
know about the chances maybe the one of Gazdak could
have been you know, in But after that, I think

the second half, you really see, like physically and you know,
like the reason of the game like really kind of
shows that the Union were going to score, Like you
had a feeling, you know, in the second half they
were pushing, but they were you know, kind of like
the last part and at the end, you know, with
a great cross from a Wagner. You know, did he
bring another assist? You know, as soon as the goal happened,

he was, he was in the film. But v Ne
New England, you know, having Campana maybe coming out you
know at the game after you know five minutes, maybe
a blow for them, and they are not you know,
having any solution.

So I think it was a good to have the
first clean sheet as well, and you know keep building
from that for the you know next game home.

a little concerned, but the second half looked looked really good.
I mean tie scores, like we said, he is tying
the MLS record for the most tallies in the first
three games since nineteen eight ninety nine. So what a

the best players every game start of the season.

quick bird. You know, some teams are signing their ten
million dollar guys been in the window, and the union
are not necessarily you know, here's.

They're definitely waiting until up until the end of the
transfer opportunity and train opportunity windows to get in there.

But these guys have worked out. You know that it

I think, and this is the thing you were replacing
easily your best defensive center back or a defensive midge
in the history of the club. I mean, someone can
talk about, you know, a couple of the guys he
played with, but I think when you're trying to place
a guy like Jose Martinez, you know, that's difficult and
for the most part, especially in this like pivot you're

doing right now looks good when you're playing, when you're
replacing a Jack Elliott, a guy who almost want you
an entire temile Esca it's good so far. You know
what I think is not taking it up is Wesby
playing right back right now has been playing his nasties

class at the position when you have adviso and heral
there make them healthy.

And he's still like, I gotta go with Westy.

Because he's playing at the high level right now. For me,
you know, it just seems like in the end, it's
been playing well too.

Now you have a lot of good talent that you're
gonna have to find some playing time for all of them.
But for the most part, these transfers look good and
it's beyond just the money and the figures and all

Can they fit into a system where the Union play
a lot of ego lists soccer?

You know, we don't play guy.

We don't have a number ten or we do, but
we don't rely on our number tens to beat the
last man to score the goals all the time. We
play ticki tachi, We do long balls, we get counter
attacks going, and can you get the right personnel to
come in and fit what you're trying to work with.
So far, you got it going great. I love Alejandro

Medoya coming off the bench. I think he's a sound
veteran leadership towards the close out games. I mean, no note,
so far, they haven't really given me anything to complain about.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Well, and the one thing I'm impressed is we still
haven't seen me for the new big signing, Ian or
center back, so they're both supposed to be healthy. Now
we may see them. So that adds not just starters
that were supposed to begin the year before the injuries,
but now you've seen guys like Westfield and everybody else

having some depth, which is I think the most important
thing because I always thought back in Seba's early days
playing with the Union, we had ten to eleven guys
that I was confident going into a season with any
other MLS team, but as the season were on, we
didn't have the depth. And now it looks like Ernst
has uncovered some depth that we can go on a run.

Playing this phrenetic style is chaos sock, you know, for
a whole am season. So some of your thoughts, I mean,
we haven't seen it yet. I haven't seen Ian. I mean,
what are you thinking about the defense, the new midfield, everything.
I mean, the only thing that's remained the same as
the big three up front that it's been pretty uh
pretty much new in major areas of the field. I mean,

what what what what? What are your thoughts before we
get into some news.

I mean, yeah, it's it's great to see that you
know right away as the recipe. You know, he really
work and all the guys like Adam Saya, you know,
you know, really in a perfect kind of set of
mind to what they have to do on the field
and you know, really focus on the team and you
know try to everybody bring something, you know, to to get.

To the results.

So you know, you know as well to you know,
Daniel and you know the new coaching staff to kind
of get that as well very quickly, because it's not
it's not always easy when it comes to a new club.
And you know, so far iever they are doing from
the beginning is working and everybody really feels concerned, which
is great, you know to see from the stub coming

in like in a difference to the guys who maybe
don't play, but you know as practice, you know, keep
pushing the guys who maybe start right now.

It doesn't mean maybe he's going to be the same starter.

You know, next month we might see, like you say,
lots of guys we didn't see yet, and I'm sure
they will help the team, you know, win more games.
But yeah, it's definitely healthy. It's a great environment to
be on. Of course, you know, everybody wants to play.
But like with maybe a game like after the natural game,
we are going to have the same race game and
you know, for the same race game, we're going to

Maybe it's the little depth the Union has with of
course the younger who need to improve themselves, but we have,

I mean, we know Sebastian watches the Pacific Kacadia couple lots,

I watched all of the Champions Cup last night because

to see how we compete against these other nations in
these sports, even though all of our teams are full

playing well, that throws my argument out of the window.

you themselves, and sometimes not having to qualify for your

dogs just for myself, not even giving them out to anybody,

one tie. They tied New England, they lost to nothing

what we're gonna see out there with Nashville coming in

So I don't know what this team is that's coming

You know, you looking at a team is good. You
know it can be a pain. You know, they can
like don't really play sometimes and score on you. They
can sometimes be crazy offensive and you know, create a
lot of chances. So Severn a lot of good players.
But I think, you know, with the being of the season,
it's always hard to judge. But you know, the time
they didn't have a very good season last year, they

want to kind of reading themselves start in a right foot.

They come on a good win at home, and I think,
for me, what's a bit defend on this game too.

It's like we play Sundays a bit define time for
the for the guys to play at two pm in
a two thirty pm when the kickoff is so it's
kind of all of those little details you orfully the
weather will be descent for that game and we can
have a great I think matchup.

You could be you know, a dead block, you know
off Nashfield, try to just maybe you get a point
and maybe don't want to play so we will say,

On them, you know, I think it's Nashville is interesting.

This season in a lot of ways, that MLS is
interesting in a lot of ways that the Union to
being on the top of the standings in MLS right
now is interesting. So I look again, as much as
I want to now establish at the Union or contenders
for the for the Supporter Shield, and that for the
rest of the season, we should be considered, you know,
favorites in all of our matches. We're not quite there yet.

So I'm not gonna take this National Game lightly. You know,
there are a couple of wins away from being directly
behind us in the standings, and that's the you know,
the Jumbalaya of the beginning of the season. That being said,
what I think is the most encouraging aspect of the

Union recently is the fact that they're able to play
this well on the road, you know, going into an
area like Orlando, which is historically not the easiest place
to play in and getting that result, going into New England, which, yes,
New England's not as good this year, but doing that
in the Coal Curve, and that's in those kind of conditions,

you know, that's good.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
That and the Union used to make super.
Speaker 6 (31:45):
So for me, I put my money on the Union
to perform and do well, especially if the weather holds
down and actually has a decent game that the start.
But again mls any of it, you know, Sunday, Monday,
Tunes Day or whatever they could, they could definitely follow

in that UH has enough talent take the Union out.
So it's one of those kinds of inituations. Again, betting man,
I'm playing on Monday in the Union. But you know,
logically this could be an interesting.

I think it's gonna be an interesting game. Just the
way National has been playing. They do try to hold
him the ball, they try to create with our offense
and and their they're four point two million dollar transfer
free acquisition. I med quassam am I saying that right,
Uh Swedish. Yeah, he got his first start and first

goal versus Portland, So I mean, I think with him
coming in and getting comfortable and then you got Muktar
and other guys, National's offense isn't something to sneeze at.
So I'm gonna it's gonna be a test I think
for our defense and for the style that we play
if if we're gonna be able to take possession away
from them and have a high press. So I don't know, guys,
do we have any predictions for this game, like goal predictions, anything.

to in Port Richmond that is got mayo, and I
tell you what, it's that European no crap in it
