let's just jump into it. We ugly, ugly day in Chester.
What was should have been a beautiful day, whether it
was great sonny to a game. Everything looked like it

was going our way and then the Union put up
a stinker. And we'll get into how the fans contributed
to that. But yeah, ugly loss. You know it's gonna
happen eventually, But three to one loss. Who who wants
to take the game analysis first?

I mean for me, it's it was like a frustrating game,
just because I think we saw some little mistake you know,
from the defense that we didn't see for all these
three games, which you know, was a bit surprising.

Great, but the win was a little factor, I think
in the first half, especially like for the defense kind
of stepping in and.

you know, one time they hit the post and twice
that score. But I don't think anybody of the Union
team play at the full level, you know, if you
take the starting eleven, I think everybody kind of miss
their game a little bit. We didn't see, you know,
like the same type of energy you know we saw

in the first the games. I thought Nashville played well.
I think the tyficulty we had to kind of break
them down with the West up and kind of like
frustrating the guys a little bit. And then what they
did pretty well Nashville, And then I'm going to talk
about the referee.

There was a lot of foul, a lot of like
you know, stopping the rhythm of the attack of the offense,
so we never really find the flow, you know of
of kind of attacking the Union. And then early go
from Nashville, so you try to come back. We feel
a bit good after the beautiful girl from a lukage
for boys.

But and after that, like from the second half, it
was all referee. You know, like if the referee like

covering I think the defense.

But the second half, I think the referee.

Kind of put too many time and talk and there
was no reason, you know, no no way for the
Union to can try to get the more mentum back
into the game.

So he was a bit disappointed from the ref in
the second half, and even in the first as was
on the radio, Nashville was doing a lot of foul
but you never give a you look up. You were
just talking a lot for fifteen seconds and then the
game was restarting.

So all of those things I think frustrating the Union.
They didn't play well. Stupid red card at the end
by mccaneer with a frustration you know, he uses that again.

And so yeah, I don't think we played too bad.

still close in a game, so he was not kind

are two really distinct goals that could have happened for
Nashville that didn't happen, especially that one off the post

construction themselves. And if you look at the goals expect
it versus goals score, both of the teams are only

And whilst watching this game, and I know I was capoing,
but I was more watching this game than I usually
do as a capo. If that game ended too too,
I would have been pretty satisfied with that result. I
think that would have been okay, you know, I think
it would have been well earned by both teams. But
there is there's a couple of glaring things that are

very obvious, and you both addressed it already. One Frankie
had his moment, you know, he was he had his moment.
That was a couple of times, especially on the second
goal in particular, where the man is sliding by like
Trey Turner going into third base, and I'm just like,

right by him, and then almost like clockwork, Glesness slides
right by him as well. And I'm and look, uh,
Yako has not played well. I'm gonna say that, and
and it's He's had moments, but he has not played
truly great to start the season. And I think is

he getting used to his new pairing, is he trying
to find his new role, is he trying to is
he trying to do too much? Who knows, but it's
to me, he just he has not played as well,
and it's it needs to be at least talked about.
I don't know what you do with it, but you
have to at least talk about his performance so far,

because it is the Union defensely have looked shaky at
times this season. Now, their offense has been so you know,
firepowered based that it didn't really matter. But at times
I'm like, Okay, we're kind of getting beat by talented dps.
We're kind of getting beat by fast nines and stuff.

So let's see what happens. And the problem is now
your other center back has been sent off, and we'll
talk about the stands later. But that would think frustrated
me about the stand was just the idea that, oh,

into next week? That to me made me have a
little bit of pause. But outside of that, look, I
think you should have scored some more goals. I love

And that's what I thought this game was. It was
just like it was just a bad day all around

Yep, Joey, it's all your fault. And what is not
Joey's fault was the reaction of Union fans. Both Adam
and I were in the river and witnessing this uh thing.
And there's there's there's a couple of things. I'm I'm
angry and I'm ashamed at people that would throw anything
on the field. Because one, it's gonna take away We're

not gonna have dollar doll night. It's gonna be eight
dollars dog night, because the figure you can't afford to
throw eight dollars, you can throw one dollar. I'm embarrassed
about people throwing stuff on the field. I'm embarrassed about
people defending those people saying it's the referee's fault. But
there's one other thing I'm embarrassed about, Adam, the lack
of arm strength. In section one thirty six, some clown

had a water bottle tossing it and he didn't even
make it to the field. He hit a kid in
front of us. So if you're gonna throw something, make
sure you got the arm, use your legs, do something.
Go to Tom House and quarterback camp because that was
even more embarrassing that people couldn't even reach the field. Adam,
I know you got a lot to say about this,

for a multitude of reasons. And look, things are true,

it happened. I get the frustration, I get the anger.

YadA YadA. Throwing things is never acceptable. I've gone to
stadiums in Europe. I've gone to stadiums, you know, across
this country. Throwing things is usually not accepted anywhere. It's

Hitting people with the things that you're throwing they have
nothing to do with the game. Photographers, staff members, you know, children, Yeah,
just even fans, even if it's an adult fan. Just
hitting anyone with your stuff because you're angry about something
not being called or something being called, completely unacceptable. It

was a small minority, I'll be the first person to
say that, but it was a large enough amount of
people where it was very concerning to me on how
it happened and how it festered.

anyone who is involved in the game at that moment,

it's gonna sound like who cares, and is gonna sound

into the section, even when they're cursing, even when they're
yelling at refs, is because we do it in a

and it's the soccer that we continue to play in
this country. And we wouldn't accept the vulgarity or the

I hope they're banned for life, and I hope that
this sends a message to someone that fan culture is
out of control, which I do believe it is at
this moment. The entitlement of fans is out of control.

no idea who they are, what their struggles or anything
like that. So that's just it. It's a blade. And look,
I defend Philadelphia any opportunity I get. This is my home.
I hate the reputation we have in so many different
dimensions because we're one of the most beautiful places on

we continue to harm ourselves by engaging in the stereotypes
that people believe in us to have, it breaks my heart.

people are like where are you from, I'm like Philadelphia,
and you get that look, oh you must fight a lot,

if the cameras are a lot better than they were,

they're sitting down with the front office and identifying these

to rethink your life because just because our team was losing,

And you know, make it interesting.

And it's what a good team for full season is.

of excited to just see that game, especially Saint Louis
X team or Pride. Like you said, I think a
little extra motivation is always the least one mutivation. You know,
as a player, when I play against my own team,

going to be kind up on the bench and we
are going to probably.

Come in to do something. You know, we need them
to help and they need to show what he can do.

There's a lot of to play for than with undefeated.
Can we be the first team to pick them and
we didn't give up a goal, don't be the first
thing to score go against them, So it's all of
these detally no challenges. I think all those guys can
have in sirens the local rooms, have a great performance.
We don't have andree in a goal, so we can
break a great performance and help us. I saw him

playing him too. He did he did pretty well know
in that game. So we you know, we have all
of those kind of players that we don't know because
they play with another I think it's a great test,
you know, for us since we can to see and
for the fans, you know, we know the team, right
do we have death? Can we you know, sustain a
whole season or it's going to be difficult.

And to clarify your point, Saint Louis isn't a joke.
They are I think third in the West right now.
They are unbeaten. They have two wins, two ties, but
nobody has scored on them yet, so their goalkeeper has
got four clean sheets. So it's going to be a
test for who comes into play forward, the midfield replacements,

not just all the questions that we have on defense.
So it's going to be a very very interesting game,
probably a little bit more interesting than I'm looking forward to.

I mean, look, I think you're dealing with a situation
that you know, real quick, Emless needs to stop playing
in windows. Can we just can we get to the
point where we just stop playing inside of these windows.

I just, I just it's just because it hurts more.
It hurts teams like us more because we're using guys
from countries where we're getting some of the best players
from countries that are like Haiti or Hungry, really great nations.

have them on the roster. Anyway, it's a whole kind
of different conversation. But look, I think this is a
great opportunity. I like our depth so far from what
I've seen, and I think this is a great moment
to let them, you know, roam free and get out there.
I would like, look, I think we have a really

great four strikers, you know, like I have like, like,
I think it's gonna be cool to see a couple
of them get to get some minutes in here. I
want to see, you know, guys can get rotated in
and now I want to see Rick in net for

We want to see how good Rick is to be

What was should have been a beautiful day, whether it
was great sonny to a game. Everything looked like it

was going our way and then the Union put up
a stinker. And we'll get into how the fans contributed
to that. But yeah, ugly loss. You know it's gonna
happen eventually, But three to one loss. Who who wants
to take the game analysis first?

I mean for me, it's it was like a frustrating game,

from the defense that we didn't see for all these

in the first half, especially like for the defense kind

that score. But I don't think anybody of the Union
team play at the full level, you know, if you

in the first the games. I thought Nashville played well.
I think the tyficulty we had to kind of break
them down with the West up and kind of like
frustrating the guys a little bit. And then what they
did pretty well Nashville, And then I'm going to talk
about the referee.

There was a lot of foul, a lot of like
you know, stopping the rhythm of the attack of the offense,
so we never really find the flow, you know of
of kind of attacking the Union. And then early go

But and after that, like from the second half, it
was all referee. You know, like if the referee like
stop about himself and make the call.

covering I think the defense.

But the second half, I think the referee.

Kind of put too many time and talk and there
was no reason, you know, no no way for the
Union to can try to get the more mentum back
into the game.

And he was, you know, in the hand of Nasheville.

So he was a bit disappointed from the ref in
the second half, and even in the first as was
on the radio, Nashville was doing a lot of foul
but you never give a you look up. You were
just talking a lot for fifteen seconds and then the
game was restarting.

So all of those things I think frustrating the Union.
They didn't play well. Stupid red card at the end
by mccaneer with a frustration you know, he uses that again.

And so yeah, I don't think we played too bad.

I think we create opportunities. You know, we had like a.

Few chances we grew have score he could have been
three two three three, depending on what happened and the
retready decisions. But playing even not as good, we were
still close in a game, so he was not kind
of like a one man show from Nagville who like
run us over. It was kind of us giving them
the game, which is a good time. So yeah, it disappointed,

but you know it was kind of like the Jokers
they had after winning a New England which was okay,
but they still you know, second place in the East
and have a new home game against Sanley, so we
can you know, wash it out and don't think about
it too much and I'll starting you against Henry.

know it was it was where the defense, like Frankie
Westfield had welcome to the MLS moment where before this
he's looked really good. Gladness didn't look as good. And
the one comment I do have is you can tell

critical of the referees, he would have been sitting on

it was so usually it was song, even if it
was some stuff happening and it was a head injury,
but it was too much time out.

Seba pretty much across the board. I think the Union
played decent, you know, I think there was a lot
of opportunities run the score. I also believe that there
are two really distinct goals that could have happened for
Nashville that didn't happen, especially that one off the post

where ninety nine point nine percent at the time that
goes into the net off of the post, but somehow
found a way to stay out. Ask your geometry teachers
about that. Later. But you know, I really believe that
this game was more of a trap game than the
previous one. You know, everyone wants to talk about New

England being the trap game. I think this was even
more of a trap game. And look, they have a
lot of money spent over there on their front line.
They got the DPS that came in here. You know,
Nashville is no slouch when it comes to that roster
construction themselves. And if you look at the goals expect
it versus goals score, both of the teams are only

supposed to score about two point six goals.

And whilst watching this game, and I know I was capoing,
but I was more watching this game than I usually
do as a capo. If that game ended too too,
I would have been pretty satisfied with that result. I
think that would have been okay, you know, I think
it would have been well earned by both teams. But
there is there's a couple of glaring things that are

very obvious, and you both addressed it already. One Frankie
had his moment, you know, he was he had his moment.
That was a couple of times, especially on the second
goal in particular, where the man is sliding by like
Trey Turner going into third base, and I'm just like,
oh my boy, like it. That's how meme accounts exist

for those exact moments. So he had his moment slid
right by him, and then almost like clockwork, Glesness slides
right by him as well. And I'm and look, uh,
Yako has not played well. I'm gonna say that, and
and it's He's had moments, but he has not played
truly great to start the season. And I think is

he getting used to his new pairing, is he trying
to find his new role, is he trying to is
he trying to do too much? Who knows, but it's
to me, he just he has not played as well,
and it's it needs to be at least talked about.
I don't know what you do with it, but you
have to at least talk about his performance so far,

because it is the Union defensely have looked shaky at
times this season. Now, their offense has been so you know,
firepowered based that it didn't really matter. But at times
I'm like, Okay, we're kind of getting beat by talented dps.
We're kind of getting beat by fast nines and stuff.

So let's see what happens. And the problem is now
your other center back has been sent off, and we'll
talk about the stands later. But that would think frustrated
me about the stand was just the idea that, oh,
we're gonna have fans really excited about a guy getting

stands losing my mind because I'm like, who's our center
back next week? You know, like, who's like who is
the confidently placed position center back the Union have going
into next week? That to me made me have a
little bit of pause. But outside of that, look, I
think you should have scored some more goals. I love
the goal that you did score. That was a Union

Was that was the that was the bright spot. I mean,
and I'll ask both of you. I have it in
the notes, but in your opinion, what was the worst
attempt Quinn's penalty kick or Gads Daggs shot on the

to say this, when I coach, you're going to have
a bad hair day. You know, sometimes things aren't going
your way and you just got to put it behind you.
And that's what I thought this game was. It was
just like it was just a bad day all around
for the Union. But you know, I was curious. So

worst one? Or was it Gazdags missed?

Yep, Joey, it's all your fault. And what is not
Joey's fault was the reaction of Union fans. Both Adam
and I were in the river and witnessing this uh thing.

angry and I'm ashamed at people that would throw anything
on the field. Because one, it's gonna take away We're

not gonna have dollar doll night. It's gonna be eight
dollars dog night, because the figure you can't afford to
throw eight dollars, you can throw one dollar. I'm embarrassed
about people throwing stuff on the field. I'm embarrassed about
people defending those people saying it's the referee's fault. But
there's one other thing I'm embarrassed about, Adam, the lack
of arm strength. In section one thirty six, some clown

had a water bottle tossing it and he didn't even
make it to the field. He hit a kid in
front of us. So if you're gonna throw something, make
sure you got the arm, use your legs, do something.
Go to Tom House and quarterback camp because that was
even more embarrassing that people couldn't even reach the field. Adam,
I know you got a lot to say about this,

of the lowest moments I've seen in the River End
for a multitude of reasons. And look, things are true,
Quinn should have got that penalty the first time around. Okay,
we get it. That was a penalty. Even if you
go to the MLS website right now they say Union
got robbed of a penalty, like it's just like everyone

and their mom knows that happened exactly the way that
it happened. I get the frustration, I get the anger.
I get why everyone's out at the ref and yahd
YadA YadA. Throwing things is never acceptable. I've gone to
stadiums in Europe. I've gone to stadiums, you know, across
this country. Throwing things is usually not accepted anywhere. It's

a crazy concept, I know, but still not accepted here.
Hitting people with the things that you're throwing they have
nothing to do with the game. Photographers, staff members, you know, children, Yeah,
just even fans, even if it's an adult fan. Just
hitting anyone with your stuff because you're angry about something
not being called or something being called, completely unacceptable. It

was a small minority, I'll be the first person to
say that, but it was a large enough amount of
people where it was very concerning to me on how
it happened and how it festered.

There's a lot of disrespectful things going on to the staff,

anyone who is involved in the game at that moment,
and it's just that's not the River End that I've

it's gonna sound like who cares, and is gonna sound

into the section, even when they're cursing, even when they're
yelling at refs, is because we do it in a

the nineties, but it is a soccer that we play,
and it's the soccer that we continue to play in
this country. And we wouldn't accept the vulgarity or the
projectiles at Sebastian's old job. You know they're going to
be kicked off of campus immediately, So it's the same

thing that goes here. I hope they're everyone is identified.
I hope they're banned for life, and I hope that
this sends a message to someone that fan culture is
out of control, which I do believe it is at
this moment. The entitlement of fans is out of control.
The fact that they have access via social media, all
of this has embroiled these people to be as nasty

as they want to be to people that they have
no idea who they are, what their struggles or anything
like that. So that's just it. It's a blade. And look,
I defend Philadelphia any opportunity I get. This is my home.
I hate the reputation we have in so many different
dimensions because we're one of the most beautiful places on

the planet Earth, and I truly believe that. But when
we continue to harm ourselves by engaging in the stereotypes
that people believe in us to have, it breaks my heart.
It did just straight up breaks my heart.

lot for the nine to five job, and every time
people are like where are you from, I'm like Philadelphia,
and you get that look, oh you must fight a lot,
or oh you're rough fans and you try to help people. No,

to them. People are like, oh, it was just hot dogs. No,
it was more than that. It was a lot of stuff.

by just simple math in my head, I believe it

in the Kansas City game and going, God, why don't

have in the near future is Saint Louis. Now is
this a revenge game for Bradley since he used to
be the head coach? He kind of downplayed it in
the press conference. But we are missing six, no, no, no, no,

no seven of our players. We are missing because of
either the red card or international call ups. You know,
we're missing Blake, Frankie's of the US under twenties, Dueno,
dn Le, Jean, jos Is Haiti, gaz Dag and Tye
we're missing. So that this is this is gonna be

an interesting games. So I'm sure Sea. You did the
preview show so far for PHL seventeen.

Yes, yeah, so, I mean you miss you miss Mcania,
you know for the red cars at seven and I
would say even eight for me. You're missing Pier you
could have maybe be you know, choosing to play.

You know, center backs.

But it's a national team as well, so per yeah,
So so he's not there. But yeah, so it's going
to be interesting to see, you know, the lineup. I
think we are going to see for sure, Bruno Damiani.

Get his first start. We're going to see first start,
which is good.

And then it's going to be who's going to be
center back.

There's a chance we could see all the first time
starting Ian Levinovich. But again he had a little injuries,
so I'm not sure if he's ready fully, you know,
can he play in any minutes?

Can he play sixty? Can you play forty five? It's
going to be I think, you know, the coach call
at the end, but we need to kind of a
center back, so he could out. Not sure he will
go you know the entire game.

See you know you're sliming center backs and see play
maybe here before by those times to the right. So
you're going to have some guys who get their chance,
that's for sure.
Speaker 4 (27:12):
So I'm excited about that.

I'm excited about you know them kind of like playing
full you know, trying to show what they can do.

And you know, make it interesting.

The coaching starts to be like, hey, you know, we

And it's what a good team for full season is.
It's can you get reserved when maybe guys I'm not
here because of national team duty, but it could be
injuries as well during the med year. So I'm kind

of excited to just see that game, especially Saint Louis
X team or Pride. Like you said, I think a
little extra motivation is always the least one mutivation. You know,
as a player, when I play against my own team,
you always want.

To do well.

And then you have like all the guys who are
going to be kind up on the bench and we
are going to probably.

Come in to do something. You know, we need them
to help and they need to show what he can do.
So it's gonna be great.

There's a lot of to play for than with undefeated.
Can we be the first team to pick them and
we didn't give up a goal, don't be the first
thing to score go against them, So it's all of
these detally no challenges. I think all those guys can
have in sirens the local rooms, have a great performance.
We don't have andree in a goal, so we can
break a great performance and help us. I saw him

playing him too. He did he did pretty well know
in that game. So we you know, we have all
of those kind of players that we don't know because
they play with another I think it's a great test,
you know, for us since we can to see and
for the fans, you know, we know the team, right
do we have death? Can we you know, sustain a
whole season or it's going to be difficult.
Speaker 2 (28:53):
And to clarify your point, Saint Louis isn't a joke.
They are I think third in the West right now.
They are unbeaten. They have two wins, two ties, but
nobody has scored on them yet, so their goalkeeper has
got four clean sheets. So it's going to be a
test for who comes into play forward, the midfield replacements,

not just all the questions that we have on defense.
So it's going to be a very very interesting game,
probably a little bit more interesting than I'm looking forward to.
But you know, I'll be in the stands checking it out.
And Adam, what are your thoughts on this one?
Speaker 3 (29:28):
I mean, look, I think you're dealing with a situation
that you know, real quick, Emless needs to stop playing
in windows. Can we just can we get to the
point where we just stop playing inside of these windows.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
That'd be really nice.
Speaker 3 (29:43):
I just, I just it's just because it hurts more.
It hurts teams like us more because we're using guys
from countries where we're getting some of the best players
from countries that are like Haiti or Hungry, really great nations.
But we're also like if we were take kids, if
we had more Englishmen, they were MLS caliber, they're probably

getting called up to their national team and they still
have them on the roster. Anyway, it's a whole kind
of different conversation. But look, I think this is a
great opportunity. I like our depth so far from what
I've seen, and I think this is a great moment
to let them, you know, roam free and get out there.
I would like, look, I think we have a really
(30:25):
great four strikers, you know, like I have like, like,
I think it's gonna be cool to see a couple
of them get to get some minutes in here. I
want to see, you know, guys can get rotated in
and now I want to see Rick in net for
a little bit, because there's going to be these moments,
not just because of call ups, but andre occasionally gets hurt.
(30:46):
We want to see how good Rick is to be
the backup goalie, because, let's be honest, a lot of
what sunk us last year was Andre Blake's injuries. You know,
there's a lot of games that if we had him
in net, I think could have gone our way. So look,
I think it's I think I'm not the biggest fan
of playing in in international windows forcing half of your
(31:07):
team out, And that's why getting the red card was
even that more egregious to me knowing that this was coming.
You know, like I think you like, if I'm Bradley,
I'm tearing him a new one because I'm like, how
do you do this in this moment? You know what's
at stake, you know what's happening next week. It's not
that we're just thinking in this moment you have to
be smarter. That's just flat out it. You have to

be smarter in that moment. But I digress. Moral of
the story is like, I like this opportunity for us,
and I'm happy it'll at least be home, so it
won't be one of those like going to Saint Louis
and like praying to God it help works out for us.
You know, I'm happy you'll at least have the comforts
and then we'll go from there.
Speaker 2 (31:47):
Yeah, and nobody wants to go to Saint Louis ever,
not not just you know somebody that's been there.
Speaker 3 (31:52):
And I'll see the Cardinals once. That looks like a
nice little ballpark they got there.

The Cardinals looks it's nice. It is, they got a
little old. They have a better life than Philly than
ax Smity live. But yeah, and the soccer stadium is
in a different section. But connecting those two, you don't
want to walk at night by yourself. So nobody wants
to go to Saint Louis, trust me.

Look, we all know you're very pro Kansas City in
this chat, so.

You only does the Eagles have won. Trust me right now.

I would not be fro Kansas City, that's for sure.
But yeah, So I mean looking forward to this game.
It is going to be interesting on all levels. I'm
still wondering, you know, but you're going to start is
Kevin Sullivan gonna get a lot of time, There's there's
a lot of We're gonna get an interesting look into
the mind of Bradley to see how he.

Fits this puzzle with the players and who's gonna play.
I mean, somebody, you have any predictions on who's you
think who you're you're starting eleven B.

I mean in what I saw from mister Shida Laska,
and I would think Luka and Vasily left my probably
start in a center midfield all together, so it would
be a bit more offensive with Vassie left. Yeah, and
then it's just you know, you would have Queen on
one side and not sure he's on the side. I
saw on Union two Cavan starting on the right midfield,

so it could be you know why he started to
maybe be the one starting this weekend. It's called a
nice free.

Kick, so after that, I could be dead.
Speaker 5 (33:25):
Oh yeah, he could be you know, Rafainelo, but we
didn't stay up and not playing any minutes, so I'm
not sure it's going.

And then the defense, if Glavinovich is able to play,
it's gonna be him and Gladness uh you know in
the back area to the right and back off the left.

So good defense I think we have. We will have

And then it's gonna be all those young guys to
come in and help, you know, from the Union to
you know, and all the new guys who just signed
to a yeah to play, you know, study twenty ten
minutes whatever it is and you have bid. Yeah, you know,
in a mixed could be on the bench, could start,
depending on what the mindset of of Brady into that
game and Adam.

I'm gonna call this the redemption game where the Union
gets to redeem themselves from a not so great game
on Sunday, and the fans and the River and especially
get to redeem themselves and bring it, bring it loud
