Speaker 1 (00:06):
Today, I want to talk to you, guys a little
bit about how God looks at the hearts of people
and not about what we have. God is not impressed
about how perfect we are, guys. He's after our hearts
and this is something that we got to take to mind.
Let me start with first John one. It says, this
(00:26):
is the message we have heard from him, who declares
to you, God is light in him, there is no
darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with
Him and yet walk in darkness, we lie and do
not live out the truth. But if we walk in
the light as He is in the light, we have
fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus purifies
(00:48):
us from sin. Did you catch that, y'all? Okay, let
me say that again. God is light, and he is
asking us to come to the light, not with the
idea that we need to come perfect, but that we
need to come honest. This is what God has always
been saying. He does not care about all the fakeness.
God wants you as you, and he wants to know
(01:08):
that you recognize that you need Him as you are.
Because what happens is when you go to God and
you start to tell God, Lord, I need you to
help me with this. I need you to help me
with that. Can you please show me how to do this? Lord? Please?
I'm not feeling good about this, and Lord, I don't
want to do this because I know how you feel
about it. But at the same time, God, I don't
know how to maneuver through this thing. I don't know
(01:30):
how to fix the problem. So that's why God, I
come to you. God wants us to come to him
with every concern, every problem we may have. God wants
to be the God in our life to handle the
things that we can't handle. Because so many times, y'all,
I've seen, especially in this economy today, that we trust
so much in other things and we don't put our
(01:51):
trust in God. How many times we will go run
to other things like cell phones or our social media
will go. Now they're teaching children, which I saw this
on the news broadcast where they were telling children that
they needed to actually have video games in order to
feel better about themselves and this is a way for
them to relieve stress and because they were being bullied
in school, that they could actually use this as a
(02:13):
tool to help them learn not to be aggressive. However,
I have a problem with that because I feel like
God always told us that the only way to the
fathers to the son, and the only way to feel
complete is through God's love. And so if we have
lived through a cycle of hate and we do not
find Christ, how is this going to help our children
grow up to be wonderful adults, to be stable in
(02:35):
the mind, to know that God could do all things
versus them going to a computer or going through a
video game system. I feel like we have it all
mixed up, and so we have to truly understand that
right now, more than anything, our children needs us, because
the way that a child is brought up can really
truly affect how they grows, because you are the one
that are supposed to be watching the person and bringing
(02:56):
them up in the way that God says so so
that they can have, you know, a relatelationship with him.
He holds us accountable about that. He wants his children
to be able to have a wonderful relationship with Him
and to know that they can always depend on him.
God is a jealous God, and He's very clear of
how much his children means to him. So if we
claim to be these types of people that we are
(03:18):
trying to push our children and we are follow us
of Christ, and we got to show God by the
way that we act and what we do through our
lives and how we motivate our children to be better
stewards of Christ. Okay, So if we claim also to
be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is
not in us. But if we confess our sins, he
(03:39):
is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us
from all unrighteousness. And this is why I said that
come to God the way that you are. It's okay
to tell God. Lord, I'm struggling with this today. Lord,
I'm struggling to figure out what way I should go. Lord,
I really need your guidance right now, because truly I
can't see what you see, and so I need you
(04:00):
to give me that strength to make me feel like
it's okay for me to get up this morning and
to continue to keep going about my way because I
don't see it. God, it's really difficult for me right
now to get through this thing that I'm going through.
I never felt so low as I felt today. But God,
I know that you can build me something, you can
strengthen me. Thank you, Lord, you can strengthen me and
make me brand new. And so this is what we
need to go to God for, for all of the
(04:22):
love and the comfort that we can get from Him
to truly give us his strength so that we can
make it through the day. That's what God is looking for.
He's looking for honesty, a confession, acknowledgment, and he doesn't
expect us to have it altogether, because that is what
moves God. He's moved when he knows that we know
that we have a problem, and Lord, I don't really
(04:43):
know what I'm gonna do today, and Lord, I don't
feel good about doing this. And there's so many times, y'all,
we have gotten up and we begin to start our
day right and we don't even really know how we're
gonna get through this thing. We don't really know how
we're gonna maneuver through this whole thing that that's ahead
of us. And then we have to understand that, Look,
that is what God is there for, because honestly, y'all,
I didn't really quite understand when I was in the world.
(05:03):
And then the entertainment I told you guys that about
me a lot. I used to be in entertainment I
used to do movies and all these different things, and
I would cuss people out. And you know, when I
was younger, I did things that I shouldn't have done.
But as I began to get older, and God saw that, look,
this is not the way that I want you to
act right now. You have to know that I am
here to help you, but you don't even know it.
(05:25):
And a lot of times we do things, y'all is
because we don't understand what love is. I truly had
to learn what love was through God. God had to
come and he had to let me know what was
wrong with me because I was first honest with him
and said, Lord, I don't like what's going on with me.
I don't like how my life is going. And really, God,
I know that I don't know how to fix it. Oof.
(05:45):
And so God wants to hear that. God wants to
hear you don't know how to fix it. He wants
to know that you don't know so he can come
and show you how. Oh thank you Lord. This is
a blessing for somebody today. Somebody's gonna hear that. It's
gonna say their life today, and I hope it does, because, honestly,
is the best policy. I have thought so lost in
my journey y'all, of coming over here to Christ and
trying to understand this thing. For years, I struggled with Lord,
(06:09):
I knew Christ. You know, we grew up in the church.
Let me said that first, because a lot of people
do have a relationship with God. You grew up in
the church, you did the normal things in the church.
But then you find yourself struggling to navigate through this
thing we call Christianity. And sometimes it's because we made
it religious. We didn't really have a relationship. And so
I believed in what I was taught, and that's why
(06:30):
I said, it's so important to understand who God is
to learn from him. So that way, when you have
children or whatever you have to be a minister to
someone else, you can give them exactly what God wants
you to give them, and you're not confused yourself. Because
there's going to be times where we won't understand everything
and we don't have the answers. But one thing that
God wants us to understand is that we can always
(06:51):
send somebody to Him to get the answers that we need.
I love the Lord so much because he cares about
me first. He cares about my well being, not about
what I'm doing and how my status is in life,
and about how much money I have and how many
children I had. He doesn't care about all of those
things that the world cares about. The first time somebody
(07:13):
meet you in this world, the first question they asked
you is what do you do for a living. I've
noticed that you can go and have water cooler talk,
and it's kind of crazy. You could have the water
cooler talk and the first thing they say is, well,
what do you do? Oh? Really, what do you do
for a living? They want to know all of the
status about where you are. And I know what that's
like because when I was in the world and I
was doing the entertainment stuff, and of course it was
(07:34):
the wrong type of entertainment stuff. I was doing the
gossip blogging, the cursing out, the risk shows. I was
doing a lot of things for money, and I didn't
even really like it, That's the whole thing. And it
wasn't until one night but things got really bad and
I said to God, I said, God, I don't know
what I'm doing right now. I really don't know what
I'm doing right now, but I do feel that I
(07:55):
need to come because I feel like I'm in trouble
at this point. I know that you're calling me out
of something. And I didn't listen to you the first time,
but I want to listen to you now. That was
a conversation I had. I was very honest with God.
I was very wrong with God. I said, Lord, I'm
not perfect, and I know you don't expect for us
to be, because in his word he does state that
we must admit that we are sinners, and that's how
(08:16):
we find God. Because God wants to help the sinner.
He wants to help the one that knows they need help.
God says, well, only a sick person will go to
a doctor. You know, we got sense enough to know
that when we're off or when something's not right, who
to call. You know, I always say that when you
don't feel well at night, you go and you say,
you know, I'm not feeling well, but you already make
preparations to go to get your doctor's scheduled in your
(08:37):
phone or your schedule book, and you say, well, I
think I probably need to go to the doctor because
I'm not feeling too well. And that is what God
is saying every day that you go without him, you
are sick, and you will start to realize that. If
you don't realize it right away, you will realize it
later that what you're doing is not what God wants
and it's going to affect you in your body, and
when it does, he knows it's going to lead you
(08:58):
to come. He knows his own that is how we
are chosen. Which I want to speak on that too
in your another message. I'm probably gonna speak on that
tomorrow because that touched my heart as well. But I
want to share of how we got to be honest
with God because the only way to the Father is
to the Son, and Jesus truly wants to save us.
He walked, he taught, he shared the gospel. He inspired
(09:20):
us to be better people, and a lot of times
we miss God because we can't get out of our
own way. It's like a lot of times we don't
want to admit that we are not perfect and we
don't know and we don't have the answers. But that's fine,
you don't need to know it because that's why Jesus
Christ died for our sins to give us a chance.
So that he can show you that I have someone
who knows everything. My Father in heaven has allowed me
(09:42):
to die on the cross for you, and I am
a part of the Father. I am he he says,
Let me fulfill everything that you need. You should not
have any wants when you have me. I don't feel
like I need anything else since I met the Lord.
I am complete, I am full, I am grateful. My
heart is happy in the Lord. Hold on way Old.
(10:02):
He won't a shit on way old. How he yes, Lord.
I am happy in the Lord because I know who
he is. That's what my joy comes from. I wake
up in the morning not worrying about who cares what
or who thinks what. I wake up in the morning
trying to dodge every single thing that keeps me in bondage.
I'm saying no every day, and even if I don't
(10:23):
complete something, or even if I don't pass it, I
still continue to grow. That is what God is looking for.
He's looking for honesty. He's looking to see how much
you love him, because if you love him, you're willing
to say no to everything and say yes to him.
And one thing that I do know is that there
was something that God gave me that I thought was
(10:43):
very special. He shares these wonderful moments with me, especially
when I go to him in despair and I wonder, Lord,
I don't think I can do this. I often go
to him saying, how am I gonna get through this today?
And a lot of you heard some of my messages,
And because my message is very controversial, because I'm moved
by the spirit. It does not mean that I'm not
human and that I'm perfect. But I share that message
(11:07):
because a lot of people who look for God are
not perfect. And just like you would hear any minister
who tries to make it feel like he has these
great philosophies and that he knows it all and that
he's doing this and he's doing that, and the numbers
are big and the money's coming in, it does not
mean that he knows the Lord. For our health and
our strength comes from God, and God shows that every
(11:27):
single day. The other day, God gave me a story
and it'll touch my heart very very much, and I
want to share that with you. There's so much because
God shares so much with me, but I want to
share this with you. Imagine a father who has so
many children Okay, these children all decided to buy gifts
for their father to show their love for him. Right.
Some of them had the money to buy the most extravagant,
(11:50):
shiny and expensive gifts, but there was one child who
didn't have any money at all. All that child had
is what she could find around the house and wanted
to make sure that she did her best to put
everything together so to be special for her father. And
it makes me want to cry, because this is how
we should present ourselves to God. Okay. So she pieced
(12:12):
together everything she had and that she loved about her father,
and stitched every detail that made it perfect. Excuse me.
And when the day came to present the gifts, all
the children presented their grand expensive offerings, and it was
so great to see all the beautiful gifts that they
(12:33):
had spent their hardened money in, and it really was
beautiful things. And she looked and she turned and her
heart sanked. She sinked, and she says she didn't even
know how to feel about her little handmade gift that
she thought was so small compared to all the big,
extravagant things that were given to their father that they
(12:53):
could afford to buy. After she gave it to her father.
She ran to her room and cried. She felt so embarrassed,
like her love wasn't good enough. And what I'm saying
(13:14):
to you that sometimes when we're doing stuff for the Lord,
because we don't necessarily see what God sees, we believe
that what we're doing is not important. As a father
or mother, you might feel like you failed because you
can't see the product take place in the child that
you put all the work into. Or maybe you feel
like you feel because maybe somebody you love isn't well,
(13:37):
and you feel like you've been praying and praying and praying.
You've been given, given and given and doing all the works,
and you feel that because of those works that something
should take place. But it's not about that. And just
like it's not about that, I'm gonna show you a
prime example because the father came to this young lady
and he asked her, why are you crying, my dear,
(14:00):
And she explained, I gave you all that I had,
but it looks so poor compared to what my brothers
and sisters gave you. And the father said, but your
gift is the best gift I have ever received. You
have gave me your heart. You didn't compete with anyone else.
(14:21):
You just wanted me to You just wanted to please me.
That's the one treasure that is the most. The message,
truly is that God sees us. He loves us, not
based off of what we have. He loves us because
we love him, and sometimes we will do whatever we
(14:43):
can to try to be the best that we can be,
even if we have nothing. We give him all of
us and we say, Father, I don't have a lot
of money, but I have me, and I love you,
and I know you know my heart. He's not watching
to see if your life looks as put together as
the next person. He wants your heart, the pieces, the scraps,
the brokenness, the sincerity, the same thing she used to
(15:05):
build that gift for him that she knew of him,
that made her complete. When we come to God honestly
confessing where we fall short, where we're hurting, where we're struggling,
he is faithful. He honors that. He steps in to
(15:26):
purify us and heal us and guide us and build
us up. And that is what he expects us to
look for from him. He expects us to come to
him honest and say, Lord, I struggle. I need Can
you help me? Because when you do that, there is
nothing more you have to do. But let God know
(15:46):
that I'm willing and I want help and I need
you to show me how and help me because maybe
I don't know. I don't know. I know, I don't know.
It's not a maybe in it. I don't know, and
it's okay not to know. A lot of you got
I feel like because you don't know, and because you
don't have the answers that you can't go to God.
You can go to God. You choose to go to
(16:07):
other people. You choose to go to podcasts, you choose
to go to psychics. And this is what I'm saying,
it's backwards. God will never be last. He has to
be first, and for him to be exalted, you have
to be made low. This is why we got to
stop worrying about how our life is gonna look compared
to other people. And we have to stop worrying about
(16:32):
being perfect and making people believe that we're perfect because
we're not. No one is perfect and we will never
truly understand that until we start to pay attention to
what is really going on in our lives. Stop with
having to try to be the best and just be
who you are. You don't have to please God with
(16:55):
gifts and fancy things and art for him to sing you.
God says, I see you because I see that you
love me. Your heart is beautiful and it's enough. I've
always wanted the heart, but sometimes we were raised in
situations where we didn't know that. We were raised wrong.
And that's why the parents' parents. If you're listening, be
kind to your children. As God told me the other night,
(17:15):
he says, be gentle with your heart. A lot of
you guys are not being gentle with your hearts. You're
not showing your children how to be gentle with their hearts.
You're not showing your children that it doesn't matter about
what you become or who you are, whether we're poor
or whether we're rich. I love you because of your heart.
I know who you are, and money does not define
(17:36):
my love. Your career does not define my love. Your
relationship with your friends does not define my love. I
love you because you want to be the best for me,
and that motivates them to understand the same type of
(17:59):
technique when it to God. To be the best for
God and to honor what your father says, so that
we can see him in the way that we've never
seen him before. Because when we do that and we
love someone, we go to extreme links to try to
be the best we can be. Behind because Mama said,
because Daddy said he loves me and he loves me
a lot, that I can always come to him and
(18:21):
tell him anything or her anything that I need. And
I know my mom want the best for me. She
always tells me to do this and do that. And
because my mom shows me she loves me, who I
want to do that A child does what you want
them to do because you show them that you love
them first. And what happens is a lot of children
(18:44):
stray away from the parents and they don't feel loved,
and they don't feel needed, and they don't feel included,
and they don't feel wanted. It's because you made them
feel that they were nothing. You did not give them
the attention that they deserved. Instead, you tried to buy
off and give them things to make feel like they
were wanted. And then they started to think that because
I have this means love. And in some of you,
(19:06):
you discipline the wrong way, and they felt that everything
they did they had to do it perfect and they
couldn't mess up. And so now we have children out
here today that feel like they can't mess up. But
it's okay to mess up with God, because God is saying,
I'm here and I'm gonna correct it. It's okay when
your child makes a mistake, show them what they did wrong.
(19:26):
Don't just be so quick to want to beat them
up or tear down their spirit. Let them know why
it's wrong, but don't hurt their heart. God says to
be gentle with the heart, because the worst thing that
a person can ever have is a heart that nobody
can see, that is broken, that is hardened. No one
(19:50):
can grow with that. The heart is so very important.
You got to take care of your heart, even though
you can't see it. You got to take care of
it because it's the one thing that allows a person
to become great or be led to ruin. So I
want to share that with you guys today and keep
that in mind. The Lord is good, always, always great,
and I love Him with everything within me, regardless of
(20:12):
where I come from, no matter what I have done,
which is why today I'm preaching the word of God,
because I know he loves me. He loves me, all
of me, and all I have to do is show
him that I'm here regardless no matter what. And even
if it gets hard, I know I can always go
to God. And even if I fail, I can go
(20:32):
to God and say, Lord, I messed up. I failed.
Help me, help me in this moment and show me,
teach me. And even though it might not feel good
when you mess up, you still got to kick off
those boots and keep walking right. And which is why
the salng boots on the ground. I hear the song
boots on the ground all the time. I see a
(20:53):
lot of people dance into boots on the ground, but
they really don't understand the terminology. You're going into war.
You're literally in a war every day. You got to
get those boots on the ground to walk this narrow
path for the Lord and let God know that I'm
here Lord in spite of everything. And you know what,
you can see my wounds? Do you have wounds? Do
you have any wounds that people can see? How many
wounds do you have on your body that people can see?
(21:16):
From all the hurt, all the lying, all the cheating,
all the things that have happened to you, all the
things that you have done and hurt. God, were your wounds,
and show God that I'm here even with all these wounds.
I'm here, still fighting because I believe that when this
war is over, I will be healed. You've got the
(21:37):
remedy and I want it in Jesus name. I hope
you guys are blessed that we're gonna cover out with prayer, Father,
God and Heaven, the maker of heaven and earth. And
they ask you right now, God, to just continue to
bless us today. God, give us love. If nothing else.
Show people what love is. Those who are listening to
(21:58):
this podcast right now that don't know what love is God,
open their hearts to receive it. Let them feel that
from You, whether it's a touch, whether it's a good word.
Speak to us God, the way that you speak on
a daily basis through so many things, and if we
don't recognize it, allow us to recognize it. Change our
hearts that we can be better people. Show us the
right way versus the wrong way. Help us continue to
(22:20):
grow and be the best versions of us that we
can be for you, Because God, we know that you
love us in spite of everything, and even though things
come against us. God, and we know that you have
a final say, and no matter what we do in life,
we always got to depend on you. We're gonna trust
in you in our situations. So many situations that we
got going on today, God, and you know what they are,
and you know what's name by name, you know every
(22:41):
here on our head. And I come to you God
myself asking to just fix the issue God that you
already know that's plaguing my heart. And also help the
others who are listening here today, to give them hope
and make them feel good today. And if they're sad
about something, God take away the pain, Take that pain away.
If they're discouraged, God take away that discouragement. If we're hurting,
(23:04):
God take away that hurt. Because truly we don't know
how to do it, but God, we know that you do.
In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray Amen.
