(00:05):
I welcome to your donut. Youeat it, I'm your host, Sean.
So I decided I was going towatch some movies tonight, and I
(00:27):
got to watch one last night asI was just winding down for stuff.
And I'm trying to catch up onthe latest and greatest movies because well,
I've not been interested in them, but while I'm down, I might as
well. You know, I'm inthe hurry up and wait mode while I'm
applied for jobs. So I thoughtI would kill some time and catch up
(00:48):
on some culture. First movie wasI watched The Flash? What did I
think of it? It's kind ofWolke garbage. I don't know how else
to put it. In the alternativetimeline that I'm gonna say this because there's
no spoilers. That's been out forlong enough shouldn't be a spoiler to you.
And I'm just talking about my ownopinions about this thing. Superman isn't
(01:11):
a thing. Superman is killed asa baby by Zod and Kara, his
cousin or his niece, or howeverthe hell you want to think about it.
In the Superman world. I've neverbeen a huge fan of Superman because
I've always thought of him as aGiant Boy scout. She is the super
(01:32):
person in this alternate universe. Theybrought Ezra whatever his teeth is from the
last Justice League in Well. Theonly cool thing about this movie is they
brought Michael Keaton back as Bruce Wayneto do Batman. At the end they
bring George Clooney in as Batman,so you know, they're throwing back to
(01:53):
the old Batman movies, which I'ma huge Batman fan, so that was
cool. But in general, itis just well crap. And I say
that because why did you take themost powerful superhero there was and bring in
Kara, you know, are asupergirl. That's not a problem. I
(02:15):
mean, I understand because of thewhole timeline thing. This is part of
why I stepped away from comic booksas they started doing on these time changes
and multi universe things, and itjust didn't stick to Cannon. And I'm
kind of one of those guys thatlikes to stick to Cannon because it keeps
the story original and keeps it kindof flowing in the same direction. Because
(02:36):
there's certain parts of characters that youdon't mess with, like Batman shouldn't kill
people. Maybe when he first startedand carried a gun back then, but
he didn't actually kill anybody. Idon't believe. I think he's accidentally killed
people by them falling to their death, but I don't think he's actually done
it on purpose. And the onetime that they made Superman kind of human
(03:00):
in my mind was Man of Steel, where Superman actually had to kill Zod
to protect people, and that makesa lot of sense. You know,
he's tortured, but like Superman's torturedabout doing so, but it makes sense
that he would do this the onetime, if he's going to do it,
(03:20):
is to save people. That's whywe've always liked Superman. Basically,
the story for the Flash, asthe Flash goes back changes something so his
mother lives and it throws everything outof whack, and one of the previous
versions of him is trying to goback and save other people. When Zod
(03:45):
comes to let his terraforming machine looseon Earth and Superman isn't there to fight
him and stop it, they gofind Kara and then they try to stop
this terraforming machine and Zod and hisplan of turning Earth into new Crypton.
Problem is the characters keep dying.Batman dies, Kara dies, Flash goes
(04:11):
back with his younger self. Theyget to a point in time where they
can change the outcome a little bit, and no matter what they do,
these characters keep dying, and whatthey realize is the same thing. We
always know that there's a determinate timeline, that there's certain things that fate intercedes,
and you're kind of not going toget past that. The Flash ends
(04:32):
up figuring out that he can goback, or that he has to go
back and let his mother die becausethat was the determining line for the future
that should have happened. It's weirdbecause it messes up the timeline still because
Bruce Wayne is now George Clooney's characterfrom You Know That's by Batman World,
(04:56):
and Aquaman is a drunk who earlyknows he's a Lantean. The next movie
I watched I have a much favorableopinion, better opinion of, and this
one is Guardians of the Galaxy three. Now in it, if there was
woke stuff, it wasn't so overbearing. I didn't see it. So what
(05:19):
I noticed was it was a greatstory. I got involved in it.
This one has been out for awhile. Again, it's very rocket focused
rockets one of my characters that I'vealways liked, Rocket Raccoon, So it
was a good story for me becauseI've always liked Rocket. They leave it
kind of where they Guardians split upsort of, but they're still a Guardian
(05:45):
cast sort of, and that's kindof cool, but it leaves it open
for you know, season four orepisode four or whatever they're gonna call it.
And the last one I saw, which is kind of just watched about
an hour ago, was South Park'svaccination special. Now, man does that
(06:06):
thing hit a lot of things onthe head in a backhanded way. If
you watch it and you're aware ofthe culture war stuff, it makes QAnon
look like idiots because they are.It makes the elite Cabal look more powerful,
and they are. And the boysare ending up, you know,
(06:28):
kind of split up because of theyear long absence of them being together,
and it's kind of interesting. Hewas just funny, ha haha. Make
you calm down a little bit,or make me calm down a little bit.
I did watch episode three of Ahsoka, and it is short. What
(06:49):
I could tell you about it is, you know, I understand why people
keep saying that this is a wokemasterpiece because it's very female oriented and very
heavy on female characters. But Asokahas always been female, So what's your
problem? Biggest problem I've had withit is they make Sabine ran into a
(07:11):
possible Jedi candidate, and while thereare hints and Star Wars Rebels that she
could have been for sensitive, Idon't know that this is going to add
to the story line. And they'vemade Sabine Ahsoka's padawan. Now that's pretty
much the gist of what you needto know about episode three. Episode four
(07:35):
comes out Tuesday at like nine pmEastern Standard time, so to mean seven
rs Mountain Standard time. Will Ikeep watching it? So far? I've
enjoyed it so far. I've enjoyedStar Wars Well Rebels season five. It's
basically what this is is, youknow, seeing the live action of the
(07:59):
Star Wars Rebels people, you know, seeing Harrison dula As in live format,
seeing Chopper in live format, seeingLittle Jason, because Little Jason makes
a cameo in in episode three, well, episode yeah, episode yeah,
episode three. It's either episode threeor episode two. I think it was
(08:20):
episode three. A Socus trying toteach Sabine how to fight with a lightsaber,
and it's kind of funny to watchher because she's Sabine's naturally gifted with
weapons, being a Mandalorian. Shestruggles with a lightsaber and it's funny to
see who Yang. The robots say, well, she is the least gifted
(08:45):
Jedi I've ever met, and she'sbarely cutting it. But when they get
into a Star of Battle fight, you know, they get into a fight
in the sky or in the inspace, it's actually pretty entertaining. It's
very much brings you back to thefight of episode three, you know,
Revenge of the Sith above Coruscant. It's that kind of vibe. You see
(09:09):
a Soca do a spacewalk and endup taking one fighter jet down, our
fighter down, using her lightsabers anddodging some fire with her lightsabers, which
is kind of interesting. You know, you don't hear about that or see
about that in Star Wars. Yousaw it in the cartoons, specifically Rebels,
but you also saw it in CloneWars. Anakin did it once,
(09:31):
Plocoon did it a couple of timesthat I know of, and it was
an interesting piece here. You know, they they're kind of leave it as
a place where they're on a planetwith red trees, and that's where they
leave it. You don't know whatthe next phase or the next thing's going
(09:52):
on. They do find this giantstar ring or ring that is a giant
hyperdrive. It's got six drives init. So spoilers if you didn't already
figure that out. That Morgan's tryingto make to get to the Unknown Regions
to find Thron, and Sabine andAsoka are trying to find Thrown so they
(10:15):
can get Ezra back, Okay, because if Thron lives, then they're assuming
Ezra did also, But we'll findout. So it's been an interesting weekend
for me. I've had a lotof mind screw stuff in my head,
you know, a little bit ofpanic setting in trying to find work in
northwest New Mexico is kind of hard, especially in my chosen field, especially
(10:41):
trying to keep up with what Iwhat kind of expenses I've incurred. But
I've got a couple of leads andI've I've put out thirty applications now and
I think now is the time tosit back and let will be will be
What will be will be? Ishould say and leave it in good Lord's
(11:03):
hands because that's all I can doright now, So like, share,
subscribe, be great, and Ihope you have an awesome holiday weekend.
Be great.
