Speaker 1 (00:02):
So when you're ready, just go ahead and take a
nice deep breath and hold it for a moment and
then release it with a sigh, letting go of any tension,
any stress. As you slowly relaxed deeper, you can notice

(00:25):
the sounds outside the room, those distant sounds that just
seem to drift in the air, no labels or recognition,
just noticing the sounds drifting in the air as if

(00:48):
hearing them for the very first time. And then noticing
the sounds inside the room, gentle sounds drifting around you,
no need to try and recognize them, just letting them

(01:10):
drift all around you. A sense of wonder at the
magic of sound, those beautiful tunes that echo through your mind.
Noticing the sound of my voice, the sounds behind my voice,

(01:37):
and my voice will go with you as you continue
to relax, will comfort you. Relax here, as you continue
to drift deeper, noticing any smells around you, distance some close.

(02:03):
There's gentle fragrances that dance so gracefully. Now. I don't
know how you will find yourself transforming your new life
and leaving behind all bad habits of procrastination, but you do,

(02:28):
and that's what's most important. So as you relax, you
can repeat the words silently in your mind as they
are spoken. I am learning to focus on what needs
to be done and doing it. Now you can see

(02:50):
the words as if you were reading them from a book.
I am learning to take care of the future by
taking care of the present moment. And now you can
see the words as if written in your own hand.
I am starting to release negative thoughts and choose to

(03:13):
approach each task with confidence and positivity. And as you
finished writing those words, I will repeat the phrase, I
am starting to release negative thoughts and choose to approach
each task with confidence and positivity. And as you let

(03:37):
those words drive through your mind and body a constant
reminder of the transformation you can enjoy, you can get
a sense of the beginning of a new energy may
be small than first, as it begins to grow right

(03:59):
there in the thumb on your right hand, That energy
slowly moving through your hand, through the fingers of your
right hand, up through your arm, your shoulders, down through

(04:19):
your side, your hips, and down through your right leg,
even down into your feet. Then you can notice that sensation,
that gentle energy moving through your right foot, through each

(04:40):
and every toe. You can notice it now moving to
the thumb on your left hand, that energy slowly moving
through your hand, through each of the fingers, and slowly

(05:02):
up through your arm, to your left shoulder, down to
your pelvis, down your left leg and into your left
foot and through all the does. And notice now that

(05:24):
gentle energy drifting through your scalp, relaxing, your forehead, letting go,
the muscles around your eyes, just relaxing, letting go the

(05:47):
nerves behind your eyes relaxing. Notice how those nerves go
all the way into the center of your mind. That
relaxation you have created, gently cascading down through the muscles

(06:07):
around your mouth, your jewel drifting, relaxing, resting, moving down,
drifting across your chest, down your stomach, and even into

(06:28):
your legs. That relaxation, that new energy drifting through your
whole body. And just for a moment, I'd like you
to focus on your breathing, the gentle rise and fall

(06:50):
of your chest. Just allow yourself to dig a deeper
breath all the way in and hold it for a moment,
and breathe out, letting it go with a sigh. Notice
the beating of your heart, the natural rhythm of your body,

(07:13):
allowing yourself to become more and more absorbed in the
life the energy of your body. You can notice words,
notice noticing words, You can notice. Your body can relax,
and your mind can relax as your breathing carries on

(07:34):
all by itself. Your mind carries on thinking all by itself,
and you can just watch it wander away, your experience,
your understanding, your awareness can just attach and slow down,

(07:57):
and my voice can be soothing, can comfort you and
ease your mind, so we won't be put off any longer.
This movement into a deeper relaxation where you can let
go completely and I can explain to your subconscious mind.

(08:21):
The story I heard from a friend who had a
friend whose son was in a school at a distant university.
He was failing his courses because he would not go
to class and he would not do his homework although
he wanted to. So he went to see a counselor

(08:42):
who told him to drop out of school and to
raise dogs or lions because they would growl an attack
if he didn't take care of his business. This put
him off at first, made him angry. Angry, he went
to glass instead, did all his homework got all a's

(09:06):
to prove what an idiot that guy was. And each
time he found it hard to do what he needed
to do, he thought about raising puppies and all he
would have to go through with their little piles here
and there, little messes there, as they just did whatever

(09:30):
they wanted to do, whenever and wherever they wanted. Although
he didn't know from experience that even a tiny puppy
could eventually be trained to behave itself, to control itself,
even if it was hard to do what it really

(09:51):
doesn't want to do, to wait and do it in
the right place at the right time, because who would
want to live with it if it never did learn
to behave itself and stop acting like a spoiled, soiling puppy.
And so even the most rebellious pup has a willingness

(10:13):
to take care of itself and to just do what
needs to be done, if for no reason, then its
own comfort, its own security, its own sense of self worth.
And I've often wondered what happened to him, because I
know he did not quit school and he did not

(10:37):
raise dogs, so I guess he learned his lessons well
and took care of himself from then on, and so
before you allow yourself to drift up completely into conscious
wakeful alearnedness, or maybe you might choose to drift into

(10:59):
sleep and let the lessons communicate at a deeper level,
it might be useful for you to utilize the opportunity
now to think about what you've experienced, the thoughts, the images,
the understandings, and how you might use these things later on,

(11:21):
from one day to the next, because you have an
unconscious mind and you have a conscious mind, and these
two minds can learn from your experiences here today some
things that you can utilize to deal more effectively with
those things that have been challenges for you before. And

(11:44):
so before you continue up into conscious awareness nor more
wakeful awareness, or maybe let your mind and body drift
into sleep, it is your privilege to use this time
to become more aware of those things you can use
later on, those learnings, abilities, and skills you may have

(12:10):
overlooked before to give you a new view of the
possibilities for a new way of thinking and feeling and
doing things. That's right. Just take some time now, a
brief time that seems to be a long time to
review and plan at some level of awareness. Those things

(12:34):
you'll do later on, Those things you may change later
on as you begin to use more and more review.
And you can use that time now because in a
few moments from now, when you drift up and awaken,
or maybe let your mind and body drift in to sleep,

(12:58):
it may be interesting for you to know that in
that drifting, relaxed state of mind, where thoughts drift by,
like dreams that tender awareness for a time and drift
through the mind, while some are left behind to be
utilized later on, and others are remembered or seem to

(13:23):
be remembered at first, and then become more and more
distant forgotten over time, and the entire experience can seem
so far away as your unconscious mind protects a conscious
mind and leaves those things behind forgotten but remembered too,

(13:47):
and time changes too. So you can know what a
relaxation it's been when you begin to know that what
seemed to take a short time turns out to be
a long time, and what seemed to be a long
time was really no time at all. So for now,

(14:09):
whenever you wish to return to your normal world, you
can just count from one to five and as you're awakened,
or perhaps might drift into a deeper and relaxing sleep
to let all the messages and lessons sink even deeper

(14:30):
and become a permanent part of your own conscious understanding.
