(00:00):
It's time to catch up with ZachHole. He is a singer songwriter from
England. We spoke to him forthe first time when he was thirteen years
old. We spoke to him lastyear when he was fourteen, and now
he's fifteen and a half, soI thought it would be good to get
a catch up and find out whathe's been up to. Hi, Welcome
(00:22):
back to Team Buzz Radio. Zach. Hello, Richard, how are you
well? Okay? What have youbeen up to since we last spoke?
All sorts, so, I thinkthe last time we spoke was around Christmas
time, So since then, I'vebeen wanting to focus more on sort of
writing sessions. So I've been writingwith a mix of very talented songwriters and
(00:45):
producers and yeah, just having areally good time. Been spending a lot
of time in London and you knowareas surrounding London, and we've got some
pretty cool music and awfully some stuffcoming out pretty soon. And of course
you live in the north of England. Yeah, yeah, and nothing's to
being good about forty five minutes awayfrom Newcastle. I'm more closer to Durham.
I really with it. So it'sa long way to go down to
(01:08):
London to light and everything. Yeah. Well, sometimes when we on the
outskirts of London, we usually takethe car and it can take anywhere from
four and a half hours to sixand a half hours, depending on what
traffic is. But if we're incentral London, usually we're to train to
King's Cross station, which usually takesaround two hours forty minutes to three hours
(01:30):
on the train, so it's nottwo but we are actually going down I
think it's two weeks from now andit's on the outskirts, so we'll be
taking the car this time. Butthe last two or three visits it's been
a trader okay. And are youplanning to release new music soon? Yeah,
So we haven't got anything confirmed becauseyou know, we're writing all the
(01:53):
time and you know, trying tochoose music and you know, you might
write one and it will be betterthan the last, or you might think
we need a re record something oranything like that. So I haven't got
anything massively, you know, confirmedyet, but hopefully, you know,
end of this month, you know, beginning the next month, we'll hopefully
have something out. And yeah, got some got some bands for the rest
(02:14):
of this year, and Eli nextyear. So yeah, all good.
And then that's a couple of timesthat we've been speaking. Is I know
that you are homeschooled. Part ofthe reason was because you were bullied at
school and you've gone into schools andto talk about that. Are you planning
to do that again? Yeah?So yeah, I left school around two
(02:37):
and a half years ago now dueto you know, really bad bullying due
to the fact that I did musicand you know the fact that you know,
I like different things to you know, what will be considered the average
teenager, and it just didn't reallywork out. And you know, I
tried moving schools, and I've triedalternatives and it just didn't work out.
But homeschool is the thing for me. But yeah, because of that,
(03:00):
I am really passionate about spreading youknow, the anti bullian message and inspirational
messages and stuff like that. Idid ten months of touring last year and
then I stopped to focus more onwriting and stuff like that with with the
new team I'm working with. Butyeah, hopefully from September we we will
(03:20):
be setting back out on tour againand hopefully trying to get some headline gigs
in some proper venue. I wantedto ask you about your homer schooling.
I mean, you are taught byyourself. Do you do you miss not
being in contact with people of yourown age day in, day out.
(03:46):
Not massively. I don't really missschool because you know a lot of bad
experiences there and you know from Ididn't really enjoy it, and you know,
it just didn't work for me.I do miss the social aspect of,
you know, interacting with people myage, which is why I try
my best to to to you know, keep getting out and you know,
(04:08):
interacting with people my own age byjoining clubs and stuff like that. And
you know, preferably when those clubsare to do with music as well.
That's a that's a bonus, soyou can meet like minded individuals the same
age as you as well. Imust say before we finish, I love
your new hairstyle. Thank you. It's it's actually I'm actually doing again cut
(04:29):
tomorrow because it's going a little bita little bit strange at the minute,
but I just had a photo shootin London a couple of weeks ago,
so yeah, it's it changes allthe time. Womanute, it's short woman,
and it's it's massively long it's justwhatever I'm feeling at the time,
whatever the vibe is. I justwant to describe you to to our listeners.
Yeah, if you think of RickCastley, never going to give you
(04:51):
up. Okay, it's the samehairstyle as Rick Castley. Okay, I
get told. I get told allthe time that I look like Rick Casley.
And I actually got approached by aguy who wanted to in a coffee
shop and he came over and hesaid, I swear you're Rick Astley's long
lost son, and I'm like,no, no, yeah, And I'm
(05:13):
sure you you could sing like RickCastley as well, become a Rick Castle
impersonator. That would be good. That would be good. I do like
Rick Astley's music. He is awesome. Okay, before we go and we
hear one of your songs called MyGirl. People want to follow you on
social media? How can they gethold of you? So on Facebook,
