Teaching kids the impacts of their food choices on their health, the environment and the economy is one of the main objectives of the Food Literacy Center in Sacramento. It's where Chief Food Genius Amber Stott and her team of Food Ambassadors work tirelessly teaching kids in low-income schools how home cooking and nutrition can improve their lives in a multitude of ways. The program is embedded in 16 schools across the Sacramento region and is about to open the doors to the long awaited Cooking School & Headquarters with a ribbon cutting ceremony happening Thursday, September 1st. Chief Food Genius and Founder of the Food Literacy Center, Amber Stott, joins the program to discuss the brand new long awaited kitchen facilities and ways to inspire kids to eat their vegetables.
