Speaker 1 (00:18):
This is Stockyards Bank Sunday Mornings Sports Talk, presented by
the lead troop Borge Radio Network on six point thirty
w LAP.

Speaker 2 (00:28):
Welcome back stock Yards Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk. I'm
Anthony White along with Larry Vaut, coming to you from
Clark's Main Street Market Studios.

Speaker 3 (00:40):
And in Lexington, Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
That is Molly. That's Molly B and Molly team two
of the finest, both liberros of our volleyball team. Yeah
to liberos. They look exactly the same same major's got
the same name and they are wonderful.

Speaker 4 (00:55):
They are delightful. Well they have different list names.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Well, yeah, that's true otherwise so yeah, so Mally too,
So Maley Bristol.

Speaker 4 (01:03):
We're just gonna go be with Mally T. That's right.
When we're identifying, we're just gonna go with Molly Be.

Speaker 2 (01:07):
Molly T right man. Yes, it's okay, Molly Be. What's
going on this morning? How are you doing?

Speaker 5 (01:13):
You know, we just played Ohio State last night and
it went well. We swept them, but then it was
like a scrimmage exhibition match, so we played a fourth
set kind of just for the fun of it, and
then got some good rest and now I'm here doing well.

Speaker 2 (01:30):
So uh, Molly T Larry Vault. We had a caller
call in earlier and they thought that, uh, you all
when you played Nebraska. They think that you all beat
Nebraska five to zero and Larry Vaught and I thought
that was outlandish. But if you guys just beat somebody
for zero, why not just throw another dang on set in.

Speaker 4 (01:50):
Earlierry, Yeah, yeah, our collar so now only would just
sweep the brask just keep them around two more sets,
just beat them two more while they were there, just
whip them five O on ABC?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Why actually like it?

Speaker 2 (02:02):
So I do know. We were talking off air, Miley T.
We were talking off air, and the crowd was supportive
and memorial. I know it's always electric when Skinner's winners
show up and then you know, exhibitions, so it ain't
really the real deal, but it is an opportunity to
see you all perform. And so the crowd showed up.

Speaker 3 (02:21):
They did. There was a lot of them there.

Speaker 6 (02:22):
We had a huge student section last night, so that
was really great to see everyone there for our first game.

Speaker 3 (02:27):
And I hope they keep coming back.

Speaker 6 (02:29):
But BBN is so amazing and they're always supporting us
no matter what or who we're playing.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
So would there be a reason that they not show up?
Would you ever expect to go into a half empty arena? No?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
They always show out, So they're pretty great every time.

Speaker 4 (02:44):
Yeah. The biggest issue right now to be what three
more weeks before we can see you again in Alexa
now because the next couple of weeks around the road,
But then they'll be back for a double or a
weekend the September thirteenth, September fourteenth, have SMU in Houston
here back to back on a Saturday and Sunday.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
Bresident Wiz cannot get a like a sideline pass with
you all, Like, is there any way y'all can get
me down there? Why is you why?

Speaker 4 (03:07):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (03:08):
See if you all did that was not here for
the pregame or the pre show conversation was beautiful. You're
not gonna you're not gonna send that video. I'm like,
so is so? I No?

Speaker 5 (03:21):
Is it?

Speaker 2 (03:21):
Honestly? Is it really?

Speaker 6 (03:22):
Like?

Speaker 4 (03:23):
Yeah, we can get you a media pass like for gymnastics.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
Yeah, because the gymnastics and the basketball team will let
me get down there. But I asked you can you
get me on the sideline and.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
You give them.

Speaker 3 (03:32):
No, You're welcome anytime. Anytime. You just let us know, okay,
and we can do that for you.

Speaker 2 (03:37):
So I got checking with Craig.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
Or probably Yeah, I think that's a great question.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Okay, So what do you guys you played yesterday? What
was app you played at five o'clock? What time to
get uh scrimmage in or exhibition in?

Speaker 3 (03:51):
I think seven seven?

Speaker 2 (03:53):
Did you guys do autographs and things after that? Not yesterday?
They don't allow you all to or just wasn an opportunity.

Speaker 3 (03:59):
First, there's like set days that we do them, so
really keep.

Speaker 5 (04:02):
Looking at like social media, Kentucky Volleyball will post like
if we're doing autographs after so like last weekend we
had fan Day and so we were signing autographs for
like an hour.

Speaker 3 (04:13):
So we signed a lot last week.

Speaker 4 (04:16):
And tell us a little bit about some of the
clinics that you did this summer as part of the
W nineteen seventy four collective and also through Clark's pump
and shop. Tell us about those. What were some of those?

Speaker 5 (04:26):
Like, Yeah, so me and Molly t did camps. I
think we both did every single one of them, and
they were great opportunities. I just want to thank Clark's
Pump and Shop and w nineteen seventy four for giving
us those opportunities because.

Speaker 3 (04:42):
It's inspiring to us.

Speaker 5 (04:44):
But it's also inspiring to the girls we're working with,
and we see a lot of them at camps, and
even last weekend when we were signing autographs, so many
people were like, oh, my gosh, I went to one
of the clinics. Do you remember me? And I'm like, yeah,
what's your name? And then it's just so fun to
just connect with those girls and see them at games.
And that kind of goes back to what you said
about why, like what fans are there?

Speaker 3 (05:04):
When do they come?

Speaker 5 (05:05):
And we have a lot of girls that come that
came to clinics with us, and then we're also at
Kentucky camps, so it's pretty cool.

Speaker 4 (05:12):
So my lat what do you like best about the clinics?
So what did you like best about them?

Speaker 6 (05:16):
I think just giving back to them, Like we work
so hard to improve our skills, so it's kind of
a great opportunity for us to kind of teach them
and guide them through their younger ages so hopefully they
grow and want to play at like a big college
like us.

Speaker 4 (05:30):
Did you go to clinics like that growing up a couple?

Speaker 2 (05:33):
Yeah, I did, And I know a couple of years
ago there's a young lady by the name of Emma
Groen that became really good friends with myself and they
were w nineteen seventy four. We're doing like doggies and
animals dog adoptions, yep.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
And we've had teammates that have done that too. We've
been more doing like the clinics and stuff. Yeah, but
we have teammates that are like really interested in like
animals and dogs and cats and all of that, and so,
like I know, Asia big Pen and Jordan Daily have
done like adoption things too, and even some of our
other teammates.

Speaker 2 (06:07):
But you can't give me a doggie you We could.

Speaker 3 (06:10):
Yeah, we could.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Anthony wants a free dog. It's been it's been, it's
been over a year. You want you to pay for
the shots. It's got to be a specific dog type dout.

Speaker 2 (06:18):
Shit oh shitsu mm hmmm.

Speaker 4 (06:22):
I don't know about that. What See, that's the problemly
keep running into.

Speaker 2 (06:28):
Yeah, I don't like I need a smart so I
need a smart dog.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
They can get you a dog.

Speaker 2 (06:32):
Yeah, I gotta pay for it. They want me to
pay for shots.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
Maybe it's not a ship sick.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Yeah, y'all got stuff When I was in school, Molly B.
When when was I in school? Were you listening earlier?
When was that in school?

Speaker 3 (06:46):
Nineteen ninety five?

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Okay? Yeah, so but back then we didn't have an IL.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah. I just got here like four years ago.

Speaker 6 (06:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (06:55):
So I'm saying you got a little extra, little extra
cash we can't get a can't get it?

Speaker 3 (07:01):
I mean, m maybe a golden doodle.

Speaker 2 (07:05):
Before.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
Okay, let me ask you this, let's get back to this.
If if you were Molly T, if you were like
in I L if you could pick any n I
L gig to make you know that you're going to
be really good at because most athletes are probably good
at something outside of just through sport. You may cook,
you may sing, Uh what would if you can do

(07:28):
it an I L gig and we could. I can
set it up for you. What would what would you
like to do? Karaoke? Or God?

Speaker 6 (07:34):
I can't sing, so not karaoke? Okay, uh no, I
can't really cook either.

Speaker 3 (07:44):
I do love animals.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
You do gymnastics? Can you flip? And I can back?

Speaker 4 (07:49):
You can do a backflip. Yeah, we're to see it.

Speaker 2 (07:52):
Larry's looking like you want to do it right here
in the studios. I don't think.

Speaker 4 (07:56):
Room. Yeah, maybe she could do it.

Speaker 3 (08:00):
Yeah, I don't like it or hurt big game this weekend.

Speaker 2 (08:02):
Yeah that isstry.

Speaker 3 (08:04):
Yeah yeah, yeah, so.

Speaker 2 (08:05):
You can't think of anything. No, I'm serious.

Speaker 4 (08:07):
I do love animals, love animals.

Speaker 3 (08:09):
So I've done a couple dog adoptions, but not recently.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
So you just do them like I thought that people.
I thought when we talked to Jonie that they did
that like consistently, like there was a group of you
who did it consistently. But Miley Bresol is just saying
that we do it well. She has teammates who do
it like you guys don't do it.

Speaker 6 (08:26):
So it's kind of depending on like what your entrance
are or like, there's only four spots, so it's first,
first serve. She could be in a meeting or something
whenever the email comes out and then she's beat to it.
So it's kind of just whoever gets it first.

Speaker 4 (08:43):
I do have one question too, with the changes in ANIL.
Even now that it came about, there's been a lot
of talk about how involved with collectives still be able
to be but the w nineteen seventy four collective is
still going to be around to take care or help
take care of the female athletes of Kentucky. Correct, Yes,
it is.

Speaker 5 (08:59):
Yeah, Well, we actually were talking to Joni the other
day and she was just like very just wanting to
help us and willing to do whatever we could. Just
we just have to make sure, like those they follow
the protocols of the new everything that we're doing. But
if it follows the protocols, then we're good to go.

Speaker 4 (09:17):
Of course, nothing would help nil more. Just win that
national championship.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
Hey, we're ready, Yeah, absolutely.

Speaker 4 (09:26):
I mean Anthony talked about it. You start out a
week well, a week from yesterday you played Lipscomb in
your first game in Nashville. The next following day, a
week from the day, you played Nebraska, which I think
is ranked number one going into the season. Yes, So
what's that going to be like for you? For both
of you to start out like that.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
I mean, Craig does this every year.

Speaker 6 (09:44):
He schedules a really hard non conference schedule, but I
think we love it. He always says, you got to
play hard teams to beat hard teams. So I think
it's just really good to get that experience early on
in the season. And we're never going to grow if
we're just playing smaller teams and just sweeping through them.

Speaker 3 (10:00):
So I think it's.

Speaker 6 (10:01):
Really good to push ourselves at the beginning so that
we can be our best at the end.

Speaker 2 (10:05):
I'm glad you told Larry Vaught that, because if you
want to win a national championship, can you avoid playing
number one? If you want to win the national chip?
Larry Vaught, That's what I told you. They're come on
here telling you everything I told you before they came.
They ain't scaring Nebraska.

Speaker 4 (10:19):
I didn't say they were scared.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
A couple of years ago. They had to go through
Texas to get your national championship. Then Texas come to
the conference with what they do take second place. See,
Larry Voss has been a negative Nancy all month.

Speaker 4 (10:36):
He just wants me to pick the football team to
go nine and three, and I won't do that.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
I think I'm I'm going to assume you two, along
with Craig Skinner, is going to beat Nebraska. He's acting
like y'all should be worried when you got number one,
you're playing number one. If they want to finish the
season number one, you gotta beat number one.

Speaker 4 (10:57):
You have to beat number one in December.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
So you see it right up here in their face.

Speaker 4 (11:02):
Most times, I like it.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Okay, I like that. You gonna see it right up
here in their face and act like you just said,
like they gotta to beat them in the summer, like
you don't have faith in them beating them a couple
of months from or a couple of weeks from now.

Speaker 4 (11:12):
Yes, a week, a week from today. Yeah, I think
they're gonna be a national champion. Okay, I've said that.
I've said that.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Now.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
Now here's the one thing I do question about Craig's scheduling,
and I've had this conversation with him. It's great to
schedule like he does, and you get to see the
best of everything, but with the schedule that you play,
probably not gonna go undefeated, because nobody probably would, and
with the way the seedings are, in some ways you're
penalized for playing a stronger schedule because when it comes

(11:39):
to the second week of the NCAA tournament, you end
up not getting to host games and you end up
having to go to Pittsburgh instead of getting to host Pittsburgh.
So that's the probably if there's a negative to having
such a strong schedule, that would be it. But it
sure does get you ready in the schedule you got
this year playing every team from them was in last
year's Final four, all the SEC teams. And also, I

(12:00):
mean you're gonna have to be tough.

Speaker 3 (12:02):
Absolutely absolutely.

Speaker 2 (12:04):
You said if they go through a season, you're gonna
lose some games.

Speaker 4 (12:07):
Right could with the schedule they play.

Speaker 2 (12:10):
I understand twenty twenty and twenty one, how many how
many games they lose, Larry, how many games they lose?

Speaker 4 (12:19):
How howthless that happen? If I remember, right, two, one
one one? Okay, on the.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
Way till National championship. If you want to be great,
you just gotta be great. You know it's gonna be great.
Me taking this break so I can refresh. We'll be
back after this. This is Stockyards Bank Sunday Morning Sports
on News Radio six thirty.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
This is Stockyards Bank Sunday Mornings Sports Talk, presented by
the Lead Troop Barge Radio Network on six thirty w LAP.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Welcome back Stockyards Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk. I'm Anthony
White along with Larry Vaughton joined this studio by Mally
and Mally Mally Two's are Maley Breswitz coming to.

Speaker 3 (12:59):
You from Lexington, Kentucky, Good old.

Speaker 2 (13:03):
Lexington, Kentucky. Skinner's winners are in the house and Larry
Vauda is trying to bring down the happiness once again
because we played Nebraska next week a week from today.

Speaker 4 (13:15):
Which is the number one predicted national champion, and I'm
bringing down the happiness. I can't quite figure that out
for you.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
Because you acted as if but when they did win
a national championship, they were twenty four to one. They
lost one time to Florida. You know they had you know,
just let let them know that they were mortal. But
I don't think this.

Speaker 4 (13:34):
Team they were not happy about that loss.

Speaker 2 (13:37):
Yeah, So after that, man, we just turned it up
and win a national championship. If we get a national championship,
can you guys, when we get a national champion, can
you guys do me a favorite by absolutely do that.
Absolutely do that, and we will name the ship Sue
the same thing you named the second national championship, name
a Natty. All right, I'm gonna hold y'all to that. Well,

(14:00):
we were talking off Aaron. We're looking at this year's roster,
and we spoke earlier about the homie Emma Groan. She's
gone though.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
She is gone, been blamed professionally, but she is gone.
So that leads to the big question. Who's going to
be the center on this year's team. Craig won't tell
us whether it's going to be Avas Sarafa or Cassie O'Brien,
So we all play with them every day. Who's going
to be the starting setter on this year's National championship
Kentucky team.

Speaker 5 (14:28):
Yeah, I mean, I feel like there's a reason Craig's
not saying anything because I really don't think anyone really knows.
And so they go back and forth and practice and
blue and white scrimmages, exhibition, they go back and forth,
and they're both very different setters, and they both bring
a lot to the court, And so honestly, I could

(14:48):
me and Molly would say the same thing, like we
really don't know. We love them both, and like they're
such supporters of supporters of each other that like, no
matter what I know, the other one will be a
good teammate to the other. But I think going to
need them both for the start of the season until
we really find one that's working well for our team.

Speaker 4 (15:06):
Now, Molly t you came in with Ava, you all
learn the same recruiting class. So she's been here two years. Yes,
Cassie O'Brien got here in December, so she's never even
gone through a season. Yeah, So does that make a
difference you think when it comes experience wise, or as
I said, Madison Lily came in started as a true
freshman pretty good and mcgrome came in and started as
true freshman pretty good.

Speaker 6 (15:28):
I mean, I think there's a little bit of experience there.
Eva is she kind of knows the speed of the
game and the name of the game. She's been here
for two years, so I think that can be sort
of a difference. But in reality, I don't think that.
I mean, Cassie's put in so many big games for
club years, so I don't think that can be like
a determining factor. But there probably is a little bit

(15:49):
of experience there on Ava's in.

Speaker 4 (15:51):
So is it kind of like with the setter? Is
that kind of like the quarterback? You can't play two setters.
I mean, you've got to make make a decision play
that setter and then the backup just got to be
good teammate, good friend. Maybe you can come in and
be an occasional server or something like that. I mean,
or can you play two setters?

Speaker 2 (16:09):
Ah, you can.

Speaker 5 (16:10):
I don't think Craig is really big into six twos,
which is the other way to play two setters. I
don't think that's really how Kentucky volleyball is. Yeah, as
far as I've watched them, they've never been like that,
So you definitely can, but I don't think that would
really work for our team right now. So it's really
just one of them is going to run the show

(16:30):
and then the other one if we need them, they'll
go in. But yeah, kind of like you said, it's
much like a quarterback, like anyone in the NFL, like
that backup quarterback is just has to be them, help them,
inform them, and just be with their their side the
whole time.

Speaker 4 (16:45):
Of course you're sitting here. I mean this Other than
Molly t she kind of hougs it playing Tama Libiro.
She doesn't really like she didn't ever come out of
the game either. You're a Libiro, so kind of what
your host relationship like they in a day out.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
Yeah, it's kind of what I just said, Like I
would say, any position, you can compare it to a
main quarterback in the backup quarterback. And uh, my goal
is just to help Molly, like whatever I see, I'll
try to inform her of that and even things last night.
It's easier to do that in a game than practice,
but in a practice it's like we have to compete
because we need to make each other better, because she

(17:21):
wants our side to be good and I want.

Speaker 3 (17:23):
Their side to be good.

Speaker 4 (17:25):
And I said, said, how you would see it too, Maley.
You're friendly to her, nice to her because.

Speaker 3 (17:31):
Each other. Yeah, we do, we really do.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
But there that there are ways you can still get
on the court though, right, Molly.

Speaker 5 (17:37):
B Absolutely, there's there's always a way to get on
the court. And you never know like when the time
is going to come, but you just always have to
be ready for that.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
And so Larry we talked about the setters, and then
Larry was talking about Libero and two years ago, maybe
three years ago, I was notified that Kentucky is known
as Liberro. You Now, I played running back in full
I stand behind the quarterback and I get the football
and I run with it, although I can also catch

(18:06):
the football, whether you know that or not.

Speaker 4 (18:09):
I never I kind of understand what libero is.

Speaker 2 (18:12):
But if you had explain it to Mali team, if
that explain it to a novice, a person that doesn't
really understand what is a libero, what is the what
is the what is libero supposed to do? Or why
is it called libero? What do you line up? Was
the expectations of you.

Speaker 6 (18:30):
I don't even know what I would compare it to,
but I think just the role is to take up
as much court as possible.

Speaker 2 (18:37):
Are you diggers yes, okay, yes?

Speaker 6 (18:39):
And passers, So I think trying to get the libero
in the middle of the court whatever we're passing to
take teams from the outside. Say there's a front row outside,
I am kind of there next to her to try
and take as many balls from her so.

Speaker 3 (18:52):
She can hit.

Speaker 6 (18:53):
So I think it's kind of just I don't even
know what to compare it to, to be honest, but
I think just trying to get me in the middle
of the court to help take balls away from people
who can do their jobs better.

Speaker 2 (19:04):
So you always so while the ball is in play
or in the volley on the other side, you matriculate
to the middle of the court, so you're probably the
most athletic person on the court.

Speaker 3 (19:14):
Defense is a little bit different. Defense.

Speaker 6 (19:16):
I'm kind of in left the entire time, so that
they the block will try and funnel balls to me
and take balls away from say the center or the
middle back person digging. So they're trying to stop balls
from going to them and funnel them to me.

Speaker 2 (19:29):
If that makes sense for offense and defensive purposes. The
berro will be as important on the court number one,
because on both sides, because aren't you the ones who
save when they're spiking. You got to get the digs
and you guys can set as well.

Speaker 3 (19:46):
You kind of got to keep the ball alive, right,
and probably the most important person.

Speaker 4 (19:51):
So why does anybody ever serve to the little barrow?

Speaker 3 (19:55):
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:55):
Why wouldn't you just look at you and say, okay,
I don't care who's back, I'm not serving the mind
she does. But yet teams do that. That's the part
I don't understand.

Speaker 6 (20:04):
I mean, there is some games where I'll touch maybe
one or two balls and service. Even then there's some
games where they serve to me all the time, So
it kind of just depends. There's something that we do
in practice called like blitz the bro so I think
it kind of depends on what the coaches want to do.
But I could pass two balls or I could pass thirty.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
There we go. We got Libero half of Libero. You
in studio with us. We will continue this conversation after
this year. Listening to Stockyards Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk
on news radio six thirty WLAP, I said it, welcome
back Stockyards Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk. Oh yeah, I'm

(20:41):
Anthony White along with old Larry Vott. This gets better
and better with the music and Molly t back in
high school. Stockyards Bank has been your trusted partner since
nineteen one hundred and four, So head on over to
syb dot com for all your banking and financial needs.

(21:02):
But we have Molly and Moley in the studio with
us having some good conversation learning about skinners winners. We
got Nebraska next week, number one team in the country
at this point in time. Next week probably would not
be the same, but I did. We were talking before
we went to break and did you know that Stockyards

(21:26):
Bank has been around since nineteen hundred and four, Molly B,
I did not know that, Maley T. Did you know
that Larry Vault was two? But no, I asked Mally T.
I didn't get it. I didn't get a chance to
ask you. And I think you both collaborated on the answer,
so it might have been the same answer for both
of you. But Maley B, if you had a chance

(21:47):
to do an nil deal and you and you can
figure you can make it be about whatever you want
and you get money for doing it, something that nobody
would expect you to do, or something that other people
can do.

Speaker 5 (21:56):
What would it be, you know, yeah, Molly knew it
cooking and baking. Yeah, Like I really like that stuff.
So if I could just do it, would pay me
like a private chef type of thing.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
What's your specialty or what is something you make that everybody?

Speaker 5 (22:12):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (22:13):
See, The problem is I kind of eat a little healthier,
so people I don't really like it.

Speaker 4 (22:19):
I wish I could see the reaction.

Speaker 3 (22:22):
Jordan Daily doesn't like what I make. She doesn't like
my cookies, but I like them.

Speaker 6 (22:27):
Well, okay, for context, we were all having like a
Love Island watch party and she was like, let's bring
cookies oh, so some people brought like normal, the original
uh huh classic cookies, and then uh molly, residents over
here brought some special.

Speaker 3 (22:46):
Cookies and was like, who wants to time I cookie?
Let me tell you they were healthy. They weren't bad. No,
just like kind of taste like they taste like oatmeal.
But I eatatmeal for breakfast like every morning with no I.

Speaker 2 (22:59):
Mean no sugar.

Speaker 3 (23:00):
No, they have sugar.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
So so Maley, Well, the original ones have a lot
of sugar. These ones just have a little bit less. Yeah,
but I like them, and other people do too.

Speaker 2 (23:12):
I'm like you, I don't put soda on my food. Like,
if you want to salt your my food, you can
salt you, just I don't put soda with my food.
I don't like. I don't like a lot of sugar
as well. So I'm with you, okay, but don't see
the Tuso don't seem to care a lot for something
that you're talking about you're gonna make money off of.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
I think Tuso and I are on the same I'd
pay to eat your food, okay, even those cookies.

Speaker 3 (23:34):
That's not my spect. Maybe maybe not those cookies.

Speaker 6 (23:37):
She has a TikTok yeah, she has a food TikTok
and she's making some pretty good stuff on there.

Speaker 2 (23:45):
Where's it's what's what's your TikTok?

Speaker 3 (23:47):
Called malls Eats.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
L z eat. I want to check it out. Uh
if if you get a chance, just do me a favor.
Not that it's that important to you, but my niece
is a very good cook. Oh and she has a
TikTok and YouTube channel called of Course It's delicious.

Speaker 3 (24:11):
Oh, I mean it's better than mine.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
I don't know, I would say, so, I'm gonna check
it out because but she does a lot of seasoning.
I don't do a lot of seasoning just because I like,
I'm like you. I like to be healthy.

Speaker 6 (24:24):
I like it.

Speaker 2 (24:24):
That's why I look like I'm you guys age and
I'm almost fifty absolutely.

Speaker 4 (24:29):
Not a day over twenty no, So okay, so up
here a little bit, I do I do have.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
I want a quick opinion, really quick, because Larry Vault
and I are differing on on this upcoming football season,
and I know everybody's tuning in and they love us
talking to other sport Olympic sports on our show as well.
But this is game week, are you guys excited for
uh Sat next Saturday's football game? And how many games

(25:00):
do you think we'll win? If you had to, if
you had to choose, or you know, if you had
to make an educated.

Speaker 3 (25:06):
Guess, how many games did they play in a season?

Speaker 4 (25:09):
They will play guarantee twelve.

Speaker 2 (25:12):
They probably could play thirteen or fifteen if they if
they do everything right, twelve.

Speaker 3 (25:18):
I hope we will.

Speaker 4 (25:19):
But good answer, I hope.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 2 (25:25):
I don't know. Do you know how good the SEC
is in football? It's like the Big Ten of volleyball.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
That's why they're hesitanting.

Speaker 2 (25:31):
Oh you don't think so?

Speaker 1 (25:33):
What do you mean?

Speaker 5 (25:33):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (25:33):
Wait, bit you just said selthic you ten.

Speaker 2 (25:36):
It's like, does the Big ten not have more competition
than we do? So besides you and besides you all
in Texas, Kentucky and Texas Wills.

Speaker 3 (25:45):
In an m Miszoo, Florida, there's more. Yeah, so many good.

Speaker 2 (25:50):
Teams then, more than the Big ten.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Yeah. Yeah. Last year there was like six or something
SEC teams and that made the tournament and Big ten
was lower than us.

Speaker 3 (26:02):
I think we might have had like eight or nine okay, yeah,
even eight or nine. Yeah, I would say like the
SEC is level all the way around.

Speaker 5 (26:10):
Big ten has like top heavy, yeah, top heavy, and
then after that it's a big drop down. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (26:15):
Okay, Look, so that was Anthony White Craig Skinner that
was insulting SEC volleyball and not Larry Valt. Let's don't
get any confusion on that.

Speaker 2 (26:24):
It don't make me no difference. It's Kentucky and everybody else.
When she's in a SEC, I just know of a
couple and then at least she might be right. Florida's
only team in two thousand.

Speaker 4 (26:31):
Arkansas was pretty good, and Auburn Auburn, so there are
a lot of good teams. And also, but when you
all were mentioning in IO, it's also nude, so many
have a stone understand it and know all like it.
We see all the big numbers that men's basketball and
football players supposedly are getting, which I don't know if

(26:52):
it's true. We're not true. I don't read any huge
numbers that volleyball players, gymnastics or anybody like that is getting.
And by miss out on reading that or is there
a huge discrepancy? And how do you all kind of
feel about in I l opportunities?

Speaker 5 (27:07):
Yeah, I mean, I don't think volleyball I would say
there's only a few players that are seeing like huge numbers.

Speaker 4 (27:15):
And again like you got something out too, shouldn't you.

Speaker 5 (27:19):
I mean, there's not as they're not as big as
football and basketball, and that's kind of just been like known.
But I think something we always harp on at Kentucky
is like we don't really talk about money that much,
like we just it's just kind of off to the side,
and that's not what we're about, Like Kentucky volleyball is
about winning and just becoming better players and people.

Speaker 3 (27:42):
So I think it's just that's just what Craig is
always harped on. But yeah, it is.

Speaker 5 (27:48):
It is completely different in those numbers. I would say
it is a little unfair, but you know, that's how
it's always been.

Speaker 3 (27:54):
So that's what women's sports are used to.

Speaker 4 (27:57):
So so like for you, like Mali take you're here
from Texas, Yes, Sam, financially, do you ever just think, dang,
look at what's our look at what I'm here and
send these other people and other sports are getting I
got expenses too.

Speaker 6 (28:11):
I mean I try not to look at it ever
like that because I mean, it's such a family here,
and I wouldn't have it any other way, So that
doesn't really bother me, to be honest, I would rather
be here with amazing people than just there for the money.

Speaker 3 (28:25):
So no, I don't ever really look at it like that.

Speaker 4 (28:29):
How did Craig ever get you here from Texas?

Speaker 6 (28:32):
I mean, it's like I said earlier, it's a massive family.
I just immediately clicked with everyone here, and they're all
so supportive and they actually care about you as a
person and not just as a volleyball player or an athlete.
So I think that was the biggest thing, was just
everyone loves you for you, and it's I am so
far away. I'm like sixteen hours from home, so just
having that family is amazing and so special.

Speaker 4 (28:56):
Okay, and then Molly be who is the best athlete
on the volleyball team.

Speaker 5 (29:01):
Oh, the best athlete, tuzzo, So you think she would
jump like she's like five eight and can jump over
ten foot ten feet, So you.

Speaker 4 (29:11):
Think that maybe she's a better athlete than Anthony White.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
Yeah, I would so crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy talk.
That's crazy talking vertical testing. You want to test now
or are you talking about when I was twenty years old,
like ya.

Speaker 3 (29:29):
Right now, she can't even dunk. I have just arrived.
She's five eight I'll tell, are you no?

Speaker 2 (29:36):
I mean six six two?

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Were you different back then?

Speaker 2 (29:41):
I was dunking. I was dunking since I was six
foot Okay, okay, I'm just saying, what do you mean
better athlete?

Speaker 3 (29:48):
I just was asking.

Speaker 2 (29:49):
I just was curious, Well, Libero, I would I would
give you credit. Look, Libero probably is more athletic than
what I'm accustomed to doing. Can you do a kip up?

Speaker 6 (30:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (30:02):
You can do it?

Speaker 5 (30:03):
Now?

Speaker 2 (30:03):
We can go do that. So that's something I.

Speaker 6 (30:05):
Can you No, not really, so you can't. You can't,
I can't. Okay, But I wasn't really a gymnast. I
learned how to like flip and then.

Speaker 2 (30:16):
That was it. So she's not in competition a competition
between me.

Speaker 4 (30:19):
So did you do any other sports? Molly? Going on?

Speaker 3 (30:21):
I did? I played soccer for like okay.

Speaker 4 (30:24):
So, I mean there's a lot of running ability there.

Speaker 3 (30:27):
Quit because of the running.

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Yeah, what about you be? You do any other sports?

Speaker 6 (30:33):
Yeah?

Speaker 5 (30:33):
I played softball up until like I went to college. Really,
I literally played my last softball game the day before I.

Speaker 3 (30:41):
Left for college.

Speaker 2 (30:41):
You never thought of that. With the idea of talking
to Rachel Blossom, I'm trying to see, or do you
at this level you guys can't sports.

Speaker 3 (30:50):
Yeah, it's crazy. I was not good enough, like not
even close. Maybe yeah, maybe lower level.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
So only softball in high school yep. And volleyball.

Speaker 5 (31:01):
Yeah, it's really hard when you play club volleyball, Like
we played for two of the best club volleyball teams
in the country. So it's your traveling every single weekend,
Like every single weekend, you're.

Speaker 3 (31:13):
Going to Louisville, Indiana, Texas, California.

Speaker 2 (31:18):
See that's the one thing when I talk to you
younger generations about being an athlete. When I back in
the nineteen hundreds, you've just had one sport. You play football.
Then I played basketball and I ran track. Now basketball
is all year round. Football is all year every sport
you play, it's just all year around, so you never
stop doing it. And to me, I don't think it's
a bad thing. But I like the balance of having

(31:42):
different being able to play different sports and changing gears
all year. But I got little cousins who played they
stopped playing football because basketball is all year around. You
play your high school basketball. Do you play au circuit?
Do you play a summer circuit? And it's just just
kind of like, man, I miss the fact that you
don't get the chance to play football or get yeah,
get the chance play another sport. You just guy, I
just hang out one more segment that we're gonna wrap

(32:03):
this show up when we come back. You're listen Stockyards
Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk on news Radio six thirty WLAP.

Speaker 1 (32:08):
This is Stockyards Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk, presented by
the lead Troop Bordge Radio Network on six thirty WLAP.

Speaker 2 (32:18):
Welcome back Stockyards Bank Sunday Morning Sports Talk. I'm Anthony
White along with Larry Vaughn. It's still in the studio,
Molly B and Molly T of UK Volleyball team leberro you.
This hour Sunday Morning Sports Talk has been brought to
you by Country Boy Brewing Ladies. So again we have

(32:39):
Lipscumb Scrimmage. Then we have the number one team in
the country that Larry's so scared of coming into the country.
We've had a good hour talking to you all. What
else can we look forward to seeing on the court
with you all? When we tune in on ABC next Sunday. Yeah,
I mean I think or live. Yeah, yeah, yeah, you

(33:00):
give me a siln pass. Nice to nashvilleek, Like, I
ain't got a car.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
You said it broke down this weekend. I got another one,
but you can't get a dog.

Speaker 3 (33:12):
Yeah, go ahead, I'll talk, I'll talk.

Speaker 5 (33:17):
I would say, everyone's kind of excited to see the
outside duo, which is Brooklyn Delay and Eva Hudson.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
They've been so fun.

Speaker 5 (33:26):
I've been playing against them in practice, and let me
tell y'all, it is hard to play against them, but
it's really fun to play with them.

Speaker 3 (33:34):
So I am glad I am on their side, that's
for sure.

Speaker 4 (33:37):
Which one of them hits it the hardest, Molly Molly Tea.

Speaker 6 (33:40):
Oh, I would say both. They both hit the crap
out of the ball. Yeah, so I don't think one's
much harder than the other.

Speaker 4 (33:48):
So what's it going to be like having two people
like that on the team, two people that could just
slam that ball like they can.

Speaker 3 (33:56):
I mean, it's amazing.

Speaker 6 (33:57):
It's especially great for us to be practice sing against
them in practice, like she said, so, I think, I
mean everyone should be scared of them. They are two
of the best players in the country arguably number one,
number two or equal. So I think I personally am
scared of what they're gonna do. So it's just amazing
to have both of them, and they work so great together.

(34:19):
They support each other so well, and I think it's
just going to be amazing to see them.

Speaker 4 (34:23):
When I watch you all play. And Brooklyn serves, but
her serve is own. I don't say anybody returns it.

Speaker 2 (34:31):
Now.

Speaker 4 (34:31):
Sometimes she may hit it fifteen feet out of bounds,
so because she hits it so hard and I know
the consistency, But how hard is her serve to handle
because both of them assume have to do that in practice.

Speaker 6 (34:42):
Oh yeah, I mean it's coming like fifty five sixty
miles per hour at you. So it is incredibly hard
to pass. But we get the opportunity every single day
to try and pass against it. So I don't think
there's any server in the country that we shouldn't be
able to pass if we can pass Brooklyn serve.

Speaker 4 (34:59):
Yeah, I mean that's and then again you're talking about
Eva in Brooklyn, but that I'm anxious sly Hannah Bingeabin,
I've heard so many good things about her. It seemed
like every time I was at UK this summer, brook
BOLTI levels in the gym by herself working. So talk
to us a little bit a best some of the
other players that people are going to enjoy seeing you
think this year.

Speaker 5 (35:18):
Yeah, I mean we have so we are so deep,
like even we are fourteen players, and we are fourteen
players strong, like anyone can go in at a specific
time or a certain time whenever our name is called
and be ready to play. But yeah, Kyle, like you said,
we have three really solid middles, and like you talked
about brook she's just been working so hard and she

(35:41):
got the chance to go play at USA as well
as Molly Eva and Brooklyn, and so she just works
her butt off in practice every single day. And then
we have, like like you said, three right sides that
are all competing for that spot. And Hannah, it's been
super fun to watch her get back in the gym.
Yesterday was her first real game and she got a

(36:02):
real like kill and it was it was so cool.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
So I'm really proud of her for the work she's
put in this past year.

Speaker 4 (36:08):
And then I think Asia think Pian could tackle Anthony,
Oh absolutely, I.

Speaker 2 (36:12):
Mean she keep bringing me in here.

Speaker 4 (36:14):
Well, I mean, you don't know as you don't know Asia,
she's relentless. I mean her father's was a football coach,
was a long time football coaching at UH. He's in
North Carolina and Tennessee and then North Carolina. Now he's
in the XFL.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
I think it is daddy has her Daddy shan about me?

Speaker 4 (36:30):
Well, probably, but I mean she just reminds me a
lot like a Gabby Curry with her mentality.

Speaker 3 (36:35):
Absolutely just boom.

Speaker 4 (36:37):
I think she would run through a wall.

Speaker 3 (36:38):
Yeah, I think that goes kind of with the football background.

Speaker 4 (36:41):
Yeah, they both fail.

Speaker 2 (36:43):
I did not know that it was fun. Yeah, I
don't know. Everybody keeps challenging me, Larry, they're not.

Speaker 4 (36:48):
I'm just saying, I think you've been I'll put this way.
I think I think Asia can tackle any running back
to Kentucky has right now, how about that you under
the bus.

Speaker 2 (36:59):
Don't look over here. You know how many people do
you know how many people in the SEC that tried
to tack them? I know, but I'm just saying, and
when they wanted to, I want to to, But you're
not five five five seven in real life. In real life,
what you call it thing is wrong, I do got
a question. Then, uh uh, you guys last year left

(37:20):
the country. Did y'all not leave the country this year
to play volleyball? When they y'all were playing against some
little people just running around just real fast. Yeah, that
was a different breed.

Speaker 3 (37:31):
It was a different breed.

Speaker 2 (37:32):
So y'all didn't get that experience this year for outside
of the country at all.

Speaker 3 (37:36):
No, it's usually every four years.

Speaker 2 (37:38):
Oh I didn't know that something, Okay, So everybody will
get it, so nobody will miss it. You we y'all
won't miss it.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
It gets one, okay, so unless you like red shirt,
so like hand off for example, she could get two
because she went her freshman.

Speaker 4 (37:55):
Year, but she didn't get to go with freshman year
because she got her.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Yeah, so I got you're right. So oh you're right, Larry, all.

Speaker 2 (38:01):
Right, I like that.

Speaker 4 (38:04):
Well that's a good way to end the show right there. Yeah,
well we only got a couple of minutes, so it's
got that witness play that every week.

Speaker 2 (38:12):
So so Larry Vaut before we get out of here,
because you know, we've had the luxury of having Molly
and Molly on and it's his game week. Your prediction
for Saturday, and don't don't give me no fluff man.
You've been acting sassy all day.

Speaker 4 (38:25):
I think Kentucky wins in a breeze. I'll be shocked
if Lips comes able to win a set against Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
I'm talking about football. We play against Toledo, the Rockets.

Speaker 3 (38:40):
Toledo from Cleveland, Ohio.

Speaker 2 (38:43):
No, from Toledo, Ohio, which is close to Cleveland. Yeah,
I don't have to it. It's probably close to Detroit
than it is to Cleveland.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
I hope we win.

Speaker 2 (38:54):
Yeah, we want to know what Larry Vaught says.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
I hope, I hope Kentucky.

Speaker 2 (39:00):
What do you think the score is gonna be? Ish?

Speaker 4 (39:03):
What do I want it to be? Or what I
think it'll be? I want it to be about thirty
one to seven.

Speaker 2 (39:09):
See, I had thirty five to six.

Speaker 4 (39:11):
I'm afraid of it. I'm afraid it might be y'all.

Speaker 3 (39:14):
I don't think no, I'm thinking like twenty eight to fourteen.

Speaker 4 (39:18):
WHOA all right, disrespect See I'm thinking more along those
lines too. I'm even worried Kentucky may not get to
twenty eight.

Speaker 3 (39:27):
I just had to be different.

Speaker 2 (39:29):
Bo help me out real quick before we get off here.
What do you got to score? What kind of score
do you think we're gonna have?

Speaker 4 (39:35):
Refresh my memory? I have been a little busy back here.

Speaker 2 (39:37):
What do you think the score is gonna be? Saturday volleyball? No,
not volleyball? Man, they play Listen, man, I ain't gonna
talk about it. I ain't gonna talk about what I
think is gonna happen in Nebraska since they want to
be sassy football. Hurry up, bo, when we got.

Speaker 4 (39:51):
Thirty seconds, let's see I go Cats thirty two, twenty four.

Speaker 2 (39:56):
Y'all are disrespectful to Brad whiting them. Guys, I'm going
through thirty five six. Man, everybody who's talking about more
than two touchdowns? I ain't buying it. I don't believe it.
But this has been a great show. Thanks to Molly
Tu's old Molly Brezowitz. Thanks to Jack Pilgrim for joining
via phones. Thanks Hilarry Wuff for coming to in the studio,
Bob Robinson keeping us on the air. I'm Anthony White,
