after Dark. This is Eric Grimmer, my favorite, and I love you
and your ad is totally in theway. I have lots of things to
show you and read you and youknow it for you, but they're coming
on Thursday. This is like weddingrelated and I really need your advice on
(00:58):
a few things and a few thingsI think you'll like wedding related. Yes,
this is not one of the dresses, and is it. No,
I'll explain. I'll explain this ina minute. Okay. I have stories
about the wedding prep. I havedresses to show you. I'm just gonna
show I'm not not wearing them, but I'm gonna show you which one I
(01:18):
think I'm gonna wear. Okay.I have a fun thing to show you
regarding the wedding. What my sonhas asked me to do for the wedding,
and I want to run by you. The toast that I'm going to
give, I'm gonna read it.Charlie is so busy, and plus I
don't think he partakes in this podcastanyway, so there's only no risk of
(01:42):
him hearing this beforehand. But Iwant to get your take on it,
okay, and is as good asmine my toast? Did chat GPT write
it? Not at all? Iwouldn't know. Okay, you mentioned that
last week, and you know what, I would not do that. I'm
going to speak from the heart. But you're gonna like my twist, I
(02:02):
think, But I need your advice. Okay, Okay, we have the
Double D. Yes, we do. We have a movie premiere we do
that you guys are review that youguys both saw. Yes, I have
some information about the psychic world andabout this week that my psychic told me,
(02:25):
which I didn't get a reading it, but I have. It's it's
kind of interesting. Maybe we'll talkto her on Thursday because it's weird and
we have something we forgot to playlast week. I was just thinking about
that today. We totally got sowrapped up in each other. We sure
did like we always do. Sobefore we get to our sponsors, and
all of this wedding stuff that Ihave to share with you. Let's play
(02:47):
our secret sound now if you guessthis on our Facebook page, on Instagram,
on YouTube in the comments Laura Caneafter dark ad, however you get
a hold of its? One hundreddollars is the prize? What is this
secret sound? Let's see I rememberwhich buttons on? Okay, nope,
(03:10):
no, it's good, it's okay. You know what taking this? No,
that's the wedding music. Oh boy, fire, I think you took
off the secret sound. Oh Ithought you had on the computer mother mother
above. Is there any way toget it right now? Or should we
just wait till thursday? Okay,it's on your phone, isn't it?
(03:32):
My phone's right here. I'm doingInstagram. That's what it sounds like.
Has anyone gotten close? Uhs?Someone got kind of in the area closer
than I've gotten. Yes, weOkay, here's how I'm taking this week,
(03:52):
not day by day, but hourby hour, just because there's a
lot going on. So this secretsound thing fail, no big deal?
Right, well, let it slidefor today. Yeah, go check out
older episodes to hear it. Yeah, exactly, that's so smart and then
we'll play it on thirst. Justnot last week because we forgot. I
know last week we completely completely forgot. But anyway, it's just a fun
(04:15):
little thing. You can blame iton me being here like at seven oh
two. No, I'm gonna blameit on myself because usually right down that's
thinks so much better. I'm gonnatake full responsibility before we get to our
sponsors. Do you feel like,no, you're not going to do that.
We're not. I was gonna say, we're gonna pick a tarot card.
I have one of these like easytarot cards to do. Okay,
(04:38):
this is how this week is goingto be for each one of us.
Okay, now let me take mycheap tarot cards where we only get to
pick one. These are this isthe easy pack where it's not real like
uh, convoluted, it's really easy. Okay, So I'm gonna end I
saw twice this week, Renee, she calls me your boyfriend. Oh,
(05:03):
everybody loves you. Jesus, she'sso sweet. Okay, Hi, Renee,
Now this is what you have todo with taro and whatever good intentions,
let this deck speak the truth, nothing but good intentions and love coming
from my heart onto these cards andhere we go. Now, yeah,
(05:26):
we have to ask you a question, though you each have to ask it
a question. She asked, howthe w wegging's going to go? Number
one, don't tell me what todo because I might start crying. I
think you should do, but you'refree not to do. Now. Of
course I could ask you about thewedding. That's the biggest thing of my
sass. Love you too. Youknow what all I'm going to say is
(05:53):
be prepared for a lot of differentemotions coming up. Uh oh, it's
it hit me. I went downto Mexico today to get my nails done
because it's like thirty dollars there toget acrylics, and they look really pretty,
very classy. I got my teethdone in Mexico too, But I
(06:13):
don't even remember the point of thestory. All right, let's just draw
the taro car. This is how, this is how it's happening. I
have so much on my mind beforeI leave for Portland. Okay, you
guys each think of a question.I have a feeling we're going to have
a wardrobe malfunction before the evening's over. Yeah, I'll explain this dress and
I'll I have other things to share. All right, now, Eric,
(06:34):
close your eyes, Okay, Iwant you to think very seriously about a
question. Okay, Okay, Nowrun your hands over this deck. I'm
holding it. Whatever just kind ofspeaks to you, okay, and then
(06:56):
hand it to me. Okay,Okay. I love how seriously you're taking
this. Okay, First of all, what was your question? My question?
Yeah? So I can so wecan turn this over and see what
it says. I didn't know Ihad to do a question. What were
you thinking about? Just now?Just what cards spoke to me? All
right? All right, so youpicked the the eight of pinnacles, find
(07:26):
work life balance to protect your creativity, Education, detail, perseverance, overly
careful apprenticeship, talent, high standards, skills, rebirth, settled decisions,
practicality, contribution. Does that speakto you at all? Yes? Really?
Yes? Okay, Brian, you'regoing to use my energy. No,
(07:53):
No, I'm gonna fan the cardsout a little more and I will
give them an ocular path down.Okay, put your finger in the middle.
Go one. Yeah that one?Okay, here it is didn't speak
to me, but I just lookedat it. Did you have a question.
Oh yeah, okay, what waswhat's your question? I would say
(08:15):
it's a secret. Well, Iwant to see how the card answers it.
Okay, what's the rest of twentytwenty four gonna look like? Okay,
you picked the Orange Man, youpicked the the Six of Pentacles.
Okay. Sharing your success builds moresuccess in quotes, giving, receiving,
(08:41):
fairness, justice, generosity, sharing, influence, nobility, harmony, alignment,
healing, empathy. Not good atthat one, I know. So
maybe it's telling you, actually,I'm very good at empathy. I'm terrible
at sympathy, though I wouldn't sayyou were great at empathy as far as
(09:03):
i'm empathy is just knowing how otherpeople's other people feel, and sympathy is
actually caring. Oh okay, wellanyway, I am sympathetic, but not
on the show. It's just tellingyou to be a little bit more like,
share your talent, be more giving. All right, twenty twenty four
is gonna suck. And obviously youknow what my question is. Yes,
(09:30):
I'll just say it out loud. How is this wedding week going to be
for the bride and groom and formy family? I got bad energy from
that one the Nina swords nine swordsa wedding that's not too many swords.
(09:54):
Worrying, changes, nothing, decideyour next step, Anxiety, anguish,
hopelessness, worry, captivity, andit says, in order to conquer these
strength, selflessness, deeper meaning optimism. I have all those things right now.
(10:16):
That was infuriatingly relevant to m HM. Okay, so there's that.
Now, let's do our fabulous sponsorsbefore we move on to the wedding toast
that I need your guys's advice onand the dresses I'm thinking about wearing again.

women under the age of fifty.I want you talk about the walk and
(11:01):
I'll talk about what SCAT all right, you do that? Okay, So
spontaneous coronary artery dissection. That's whyit's SCAT is a little known, poorly
understood cause of art attack. Mostpatients are young, healthy, active women,
and they don't have typical risk factorsof heart disease. It can also
affect men, but women are mostlyaffected. It can reoccur, it could
(11:24):
be fatal. Research is desperately needed, and this is what the walk is
raising money for, is the research. Last year it was really a whole
lot of fun talk about the walk. So our timed five k run walk
takes place on the east side ofCrown Point Park in San Diego on Mission

Go to the glamfam dot com.Okay, thank you guys for being
(14:46):
sponsors of the podcast. We soappreciate it, we really do. This
podcast is going to be wedding talkheavy because as a mother, three things
are very big in your life. When your child is born, when your
child gets married, and when yourchild has a child. These are three
(15:09):
monumental moments in your lifetime. Thisis a monumental moment and I'm feeling it
in all sorts of crazy ways.Like my baby boy, who is just
right here. He was just here, my baby boy, kind of your
baby. You helped raise him.I know he's getting married, man,
(15:30):
I know, and it's to aperson. I couldn't have picked a better
mate for him. Yeah, she'svery sweet, the best, her family,
incredible, lucky, lucky, lucky. I could say enough good things.
But a lot of prep has goneon over the last couple of months
and weeks. So I want toshow you the three dresses I've narrowed it
(15:54):
down to, and I want youto be honest, I haven't I'm not
going to try him on, butI just want to show him to you.
Let's start there. Okay, thisstress that I'm wearing right now,
I bought on sale from a website. It came in the mail, and
I'm like, Okay, I'm inmy fifties. I have no business wearing
(16:17):
this to a wedding, to ashower, period, anywhere outside. I
look like I'm fourteen years old.Well, this is this is ridiculous.
That's why I wore tonights. It'sso dumb. Well, this is my
question. When you saw it?Yeah online, I'm assuming yes, was
this here? Yes? But itwasn't. As I'm taking your computer away
(16:45):
again. The theme of the weddingis garden party, and I thought it
was a pretty color. But like, I have no business wearing this.
So I thought you were going tolike the opening of a peptobismo plank or
something. Believe me, I knowit's awful. It's beyond I feel like
singing on the good Ship Lollipop. It's a nice trip to the candy shop.
(17:07):
I mean, it looks like ArbieGone Rogue. I'm not I'm not
wearing this one. Thank It's likea waitress of the Mexican restaurant. Okay,
so this dress garden party. It'schill smallish Portland outside evening time covered.
These are the basics, okay, okay, so then I picked this
one from Amazon, and then becauseit's garden party floral, and then I
(17:33):
thought, wait, oh too casual? Yeah, too loud? It is
nice, it is a little toocasual. Also, it's mostly white.
Now are you that's a no?Are you planning on returning these? These
all have tags on them still?Yes? Okay, I could wear this
to the shower. But is itthat's a good shower dress? What are
your thoughts on that he hates?I think he just hates the it period.
(17:55):
Is it a single strap? Yes? Oh yeah, it's kind of
weird. Okay, So this oneis one of the ones that yeah,
I know, I know, Iknow. Having only one strap that style
dress throws me. Can I justset fire to it? No, I
need to return it. Okay. Here are the two that if I see
that on a hangar in a year, you won't Okay, I'm either gonna
(18:18):
wear this one or the next one. Now, this one also has one
strap, but it's different. Okay. I liked that one. Okay,
it's long, Yes, one strap, hmm, it looks better on sure,
it's got a slit, but theslit is not too high. It's
(18:38):
comfortable, pretty green color, verynot sexy, not overpowering. There's that.
Okay, the colors a little thrownme off a little bit, but
it is very garden party evening.Yes, let's see. The next one's
fine, but here's the thing.I'm gonna need to see shoes, and
(19:00):
I'm gonna need to see accessories.I know. No, I don't want
any white thigh high go go boosts. Oh no, I know. Okay,
I might not be that smart, but I'm not that dumb to wear
boots too. Is my son's waiting, Okay, I just wanted to make
sure here's the number one choice sofar. Thoughts, please and believe me.
(19:23):
This looks pretty good on and itmakes my body look good but not
too sexy and yo oh no,oh no, but trust me, I
like it. It looks it's flowers. I know it looks like Dowdy right
now, but like on, it'sjust below the knee. I'm gonna need
the powers and it's it looks likea large doily or a table runner in
(19:48):
an old I think it looks good, it has potential. I'll try it
on, but Okay, this dress, the number one dress so far,
is the cheapest one of the bunch. Tamu, thank you very much to
do that. Yeah, it justreminds me of it like a lace doily
at like an old lady's house. That's true, but I think it looks
(20:11):
fine after the podcast when I triedit on. Then tell me what I
think, because your your opinion mattersmost out of anybody else's because you're the
stylist of the group. Yeah.Yeah, I'll have to see it.
So there's that now. Charlie askedme the following question. He said,
(20:33):
Hey, Mom, would you doas a favor? Sure, I'll do
anything, Charlie. Well, forChristmas, I gave him an old camcorder
that I used to film all hisbaby stuff and Evan's baby stuff, and
I refurbished it and I gave itto him. He goes, you know
that cam quarter you gave me forChristmas? Yes, I think it'd be
(20:55):
cool to take video of our vowsand stuff on that camera. Will you
be the videographer? I'm like,I will. I'll do anything for you,
Charlie. Then I start thinking aboutit. I'm going to be witnessing
my son's wedding through a viewfinder,like right, I'm working my son's way.
(21:15):
I'm not the mother of the groom. I am a I am working
it. You're a working girl. But I'm going to do it because he
asked me to. If it's importantto him, exactly yes, and he
as as expected. I talked tohim today. He's the stress level is
very, very high, and Isaid, it's very normal. All every
(21:37):
couple goes through this. You're theweek before is a very stressful time,
and don't worry about it. Okay. So then I start thinking about the
toast. It's very important something tosay about the couple. And anyway here,
I want to read you what I'mgoing to say, and I want
your thoughts because I want to makeit kind of light and funny in some
(22:02):
parts. Her family has a greatsense of humor and they're fun and then
my family does too. So thisis what I've written so far. I
mean, I'll say some nice, sweet things, how much I love their
love, blah blah, you knowthis and this and that. Then I'm
gonna say the following, Hey,Maya, did you know this about Charlie.
(22:26):
I'm gonna tell her I'm gonna tellthe cock story. I'm telling the
Shrek story at the end. I'mgonna wait and see how the audience.
But I'll save that for the end. But I told that last week instead
of cartoons and Teletubbies and stuff likethat. When Charlie was two and three,
he would spend hours in front ofthe TV watching a super dry,
(22:52):
super old, very boring documentary aboutHalf Dome. It was the most boring,
dry thing you've ever seen. Thekid would sit there for hours and
be glued to that. We couldn'tunderstand it. We just didn't get it.
He's a little kid, he's liketwo and three, Like, what's
so interesting about that? Turns outmy son loves to climb. He's a
(23:15):
nature boy. It started early whenhe was five or six. He picked
up something from the floor of thegrocery store one day. He took it
home, drew a face on it, and made a little friend. I
was horrified when he finally showed itto me that night. It was a
wrapped, unused tampon, and hemade his little friend, drew a face
(23:40):
on it, and we made alittle song called Tampy the damp On.
I would not tell that story.Okay, there's that little fun factory.
When Charlie's very first word was notmama, It wasn't data, it wasn't
poo poo, it wasn't anything likethat. It was bird. What little
kid can pronounce bird and nosebird? But that's an interesting little factoid. The
(24:06):
first word he ever spelled was mom, but he spelled it oh m o
oh mo. I will always rememberthe little writing, the scribbling. When
he was eight, our neighbor whenwe lived in Kensington cut down a huge
tree that was growing next to ourhouse. When Charlie got home from school
(24:29):
that day, he dropped to hisknees after he saw that the tree was
gone, put his head in hishands and mourned and sobbed. He was
eight. He loved that tree, and I knew from that point on,
like this kid is connected to nature. Then this one. In second grade,
(24:52):
his Catholic school teacher, sister Kathleen, had the kids memorize and perform
a poem in front of class andparents. Most kids chose Doctor Seuss or
shel Silverstein or no, not Charlie. Charlie memorized and proudly recited this gem
by Stephen crane again. Second grade. In the desert, I saw a
(25:22):
creature, naked bestial, who squattingupon the ground, held his heart in
his hands and ate of it.I said, is it good, friend?
It is bitter, bitter, heanswered, But I like it because
it is bitter and because it ismy heart. The parents it was silent.
(25:44):
They awkwardly clapped. I looked atsister Kathleen. She was white as
a ghost, and she just aboutpassed out. What the heck was?
Where was I when this is going? Oh? And then finally this one.
When I was pregnant with Evan,Charlie was four, we finished watching
(26:08):
a beautiful movie about a whale whenI fell asleep on the recliner with him
on my lap. When I wokeup, Charlie was still on my lap,
wide awake, sitting upright, hiseyes wide to my horror, the
end credits to the movie The RingWe're scrolling across the stream. He watched
(26:33):
the entire thing alone while I wasthis, Oh my god. Thus began
our scary movie club. He sawJaws, Poultergeist, and The Exorcists before
he was the age of six.Other good movies they are, but we
and so and then I'll say somenicer things. But like, anyway,
(26:55):
what are your thoughts on like thefun Charlie factoids out with the tampon.
I don't think it's it's kind ofcute. You just think it's gross because
because it's a female thing. Yeah, you fine. I mean I don't
think it's like hilarious, but it'sit's not bad. I think the other
ones are better, but I thinkit's still good. I think the other
ones are better. Okay, doesthe Shrek story stay or go? Did
(27:18):
you didn't even tell the Shrek storyI did on the podcast last week?
What was he just called? Youdon't want to say? Cock? Cock
and tampon is probably not two thingsthat you don't want to know. I
think it's a great time to embarrasshim. I mean, that's what you
genuinely did. It's just so innocentand sweet. And he was so little
and he loved Shrek but he couldn'tsay Shrek, so he'd ask for it
(27:38):
in the grocery store by saying,Mama, I want to see cock.
I think that's funny. That's whatI said when I was a kid.
But check hadn't even come out yet, and that's something different. Okay,
So those are just some notes thathave scribbled down. And then he caught
I talked him today and he goes, Mom, I want you to do
a toast. I'm like, Charlie, done, already done, and he
(28:00):
goes, but I want. Ithink it should be short. I'm like,
all right, listen, kid,I've been in this business of talking
for thirty years. I know whento cut it short and when the crowd
is not into it, trust me, I will do that. But I
have some things I want to say. And then I want Maya's mom to
(28:22):
tell me some funny things about Mayaso I can she can do the same
things that I'm doing. Oh isthat a funny idea? Yeah, that's
good. One more thing about thewedding, and then we'll get to double
D. I bought this because Ithought it would be cool for their little
guest book. Have you heard ofthis idea where guests take pictures on this
little baby polaroid and then they stickthem in the guest books and then they
(28:45):
write, by then picture, solet's take a picture of us, you
guys see if this I've been liketrying to properly figure out the right lighting,
because I went through like, alreadyhere we go, you and me,
here's the little selfie thing ready one, two three, So you have
(29:11):
to sit and wait for it todevelop and everything. But guess he's going
to probably have to man the guestbook me as well. But I'm okay
with God. You're going to bean octopus? Is this thing? No?
So I got that? No?What else do I need to talk
about? That's it? Did Italk about? Oh yeah, I talked
(29:33):
about that. Okay, So nowlet's cue the double D music because Eric
has some double D that's his gig. We do it every Monday Tuesday show.
Doesn't come, Oh my god?Really? Oh there, Hello,
my baby, Oh my little man'shere. Look at that just comes and
lays it right down. I hadhim in the room for a reason,
(29:56):
Oh my baby. All right. So, lots of sad news in Hollywood
this week. It's been nothing buttragedy. Shelley Devall passed away from the
Shining and the movie Popeye. Ohwas she seventy something? Next thing?
(30:18):
Yeah, I think Shannon Doherty passedaway from cancer. She'd been battling it
for a while. She was fiftythree years old. Really hold on quick
pause. Actually looks like our camerasoff. Oh, like all we're stuck
in a frozen position. And areyou too, I know, Okay,
we're an audio podcast. Now keepgoing, all right, no problem.
(30:42):
Doctor Ruth the Sex Doctor died atninety six. Wow, good long life.
Yeah, And Richard Simmons passed awayat seventy six years old. Now
do we know the cause of deathyet? They haven't released it. But
I saw today that hell in hisbathroom and declined to have any help.
(31:06):
So I'm not sure what that wasabout. But he's been reclusive for years
now, so I don't I don'treally know if it was, which is
so strange because he was so fullof life, so about people, so
about entertainment, so like energetic, and then boom vanished just you know,
kind of vanished without a trace. And there was all sorts of things about,
(31:30):
like his housekeeper holding him hostage, all that, yes, all that
crazy stuff. And so yes,she was seventy five, actually not seventy
six, and she passed away dueto complications from diabetes. Do you remember
the movie Nashville? No, Oh, she was in that, you know,
(31:55):
she was. She had I watcheda documentary on the Shin and she
almost quit show business because of howshe was treated by Stanley Kubrick. Yeah,
she got a good performance. Guys. There is a documentary about Stanley
Kubrick and it it's basically about howthey believe he was hired by the government
(32:22):
to fake the moonland Oh yeah, that's old news. But there's like all
these like clues in the shining. It was just it was pretty interesting,
though, that's an old No,he didn't. I was like, we
didn't have the technology to fake themoon landing when the moon landing happened.
Yeah, anyway, Yeah, Ithink I talked about this a couple of
(32:44):
weeks ago right after I saw her, because she said it during the show.
But I saw Ellen DeGeneres in herlast stand up routine and she is
done with show business, wants herNet Flicks special airs this year. She's
done. Is that that similar tosomething that the thing that you saw at
(33:07):
Bubble Theater? Yeah, it's theexact same it is, ok Yeah,
I think they were even shooting partof it for that okay thing. I'm
sure no one likes her anymore isthe bigger problem. And if all that
stuff about the toxic workplace and workingat Ellen was is untrue. That's really
sad that that just killed her career. Yeah, it's probably not untrue as
(33:30):
the problem, but on the shejust seems so nice and giving and wonderful,
and that show is so incredibly popularand sure, but that's the only
the audience facing perspective. But youknow, it was funny because I went
to a taping of the show andwhen when the you know, when the
(33:52):
commercials were being run, she wouldnot speak to anybody. She just sat
there and she didn't act with theaudience. She didn't do anything. Was
there like dancing in between the commercials? Okay? Nothing? She her you
know, the makeup artists would comeup and touch up her makeup, and
her producer would come over, butshe wouldn't acknowledge the audience. She didn't
(34:14):
do anything. Hm hm. Solast bit of news is the new bon
Jovi album may set a record forbeing terrible. It spent only one week
on the Billboard two hundred and felloff. That's too bad because I was
really pulling for him. He hadvocal cord surgery and they said he was
never going to sing again, andthen he put out this album, and
(34:34):
then row Yeah, not good. He'll never be living on a prayer like
that. His best song. That'sa great song. Bon Jovi is great.
Yeah, and then we have acouple of things to talk about.
Oh yeah, the movie review.Oh my god, So Brian and I
both saw Long Legs and Long Legsis a scary movie because it is deemed
(35:00):
the scariest movie of twenty twenty four. Okay, it got almost one hundred
percent approval on Rotten Tomatoes. That'samazing. I think it has dropped down
since audience reviews have come out.I think it's like an eighty nine or
something. Yeah, it was.I'll say this, and then I would
love to hear Brian Wayhan. Iheard it was extremely terrifying. It was
(35:24):
like a mix between Silence of theLambs and Seven Great. Both were movies
that I enjoyed a lot. Sevenscared the Jesus out of me, and
I thought, okay, I wentin with high hopes. I heard the
reviews are really good, the performanceswere good. It was just it kind
(35:50):
of fell apart in the third actand I just didn't get it. Were
you scared at all? Not atall? Not a good I was mainly
bored. Oh god, and thepeople were saying, oh my god,
it's uber violent, like it's sogory, and I was like, no,
it wasn't. Like I was like, I don't know what movie you
all saw, but I didn't thinkit was did you. There is a
(36:16):
couple of scenes of violence and theyare gory, but I it's not.
It's not like a Gore movie. No, not at all. And it
happens really quick and kind of froma distance, so it's not like it's
these lingering close ups or anything likethat. So, yeah, it was
really strange. Did you enjoy it, Brian, Yeah, so I think
(36:40):
it is really I think it's areally good movie. It is not scary
at least I did not. Iwas not scared it. I mean,
I'm not really scared, but likeI wasn't even like I think also the
movie is too damn good for meto be scared by it, because even
the scenes are supposed to be scary. I was just like, this is
phenomenal, Like this is so well, you know, compared like Shot the
Lightning is perfect. I was toan offer it to be like actually scary.
(37:02):
There are some definitely some scenes thatare more creepy and some shots that
are pretty well set up and creepylooking. It's not scary. Also,
I think the biggest problem is themovie needs to be longer. It's only
like an hour and thirty minutes andforty minutes. It really should be a
full two hours. I think itwould have been better. I don't think
the third act is terrible, andthat's where things where it starts to kind
(37:22):
of explain the point, and itdefinitely doesn't live up to the mystery it
sets up. But I still thinkit's I still think the ending is unfulfilling
too. I don't. Yeah, ending is kind of unsatisfied. It's very
creepy and dark and the brooding.Yeah, it's you don't come out of
it feeling good at all. Okay, I didn't think it was. I
(37:45):
didn't think it was that bad.It is. It is definitely has a
darker atmosphere, yeah, which Ithink it does really well with. But
it is. It is a fantasticmovie, and Nicholas Cage gives a stellar
performance in Is. He was veryvery even though make her Mom Row,
she was good. She was verygood, and she was great, and
so was the woman that played themother Alicia Wit and then Blair underwo who's
(38:10):
the other cop? Was really good. We need to touch on now we're
not a political show. That's notour niche. However, we need to
talk about what happened to Trump andwhat we were talking about before the show
started. So there was an assassinationattempt two days ago yesterday. Now do
(38:37):
you have any current information about likeis he he got hit? He's fine,
So it clipped just the upper partof his year, okay, and
then he's still going strong. Apparentlythere was like some picture that is like
epic great picture. How's Joe Biden? Have they like lately? Yeah,
(39:00):
they released a statement. I readabout that on Saturday, and like today
anything current like that? He's ingeneral or just really in general? And
no, not related to this.It related to me. His his health.
Oh, he's falling apart. Hiscampaign has really falling apart. It's
(39:21):
it's last two weeks, three weeks. So is it are they picking a
new candidate? Nope? No,unlikely. Okay, So it's wow,
it's I mean, this is stilla hot race, this is not this
is still a toss up. Iwould say Trump has a little bit of
an edge now where it's been prettyneck and neck. The assassination temp was
(39:44):
insane and Trump barely made out alive. I mean he turned his head at
the perfect second, otherwise it wouldhave gone straight through the back of his
brain. I I initially thought itwas a joke. Yeah, Like I
thought it was a joke because ofthe way it all went down. It
was like a super slow turn andthen you heard like this, pop pop
pop, and then the Secret Service. It was so odd the way they
(40:07):
reacted, and then he was like, oh, I need my shoe,
and then he popped up and wasdoing this. I was like, is
this Is this just like a stunt? Is this like a bit? Because
I thought there's no way this wasreal. And then when I heard that
somebody passed away like a guy protectinghis family, I was like, oh
shit, you know this and theshooter a twenty one year old Republican.
(40:30):
Well yeah, so there. Imean, there's plenty of conspiracy theories right
now. We don't know much. All we know is he what he recently
registered Republican and then a couple ofyears ago he vote he donated to Democrat
Superpass, So it's hard to saywhat he what his actual we don't know
his motivation is the stuff that cameout the following day, I was like,
(40:51):
you gotta be and I knew itwas coming. It was like,
you know, I knew the youknow, the supporters of Trump, we're
going to say, Oh, it'syou know, by ordered the hit and
stuff. And that's exactly what cameout and all this crazy, you know
stuff. And I was like,oh, Lord, have mercy. But
do you think this is the bestthing in I'm trying to say this in
(41:12):
the right words, best thing forhis campaign? Yes, yeah, oh
absolutely, this is great for him. Oh yeah, it's a It's a
total coup for him, unfortunately. And I hope, my hope is that
it humbles him and that he youknow, because I experience he was out
spreading a message of hope, andI was like, that was not a
(41:36):
message of hope that he was speakingof. In my opinion, I think,
yeah, I do think. Ithink that is not just a unique
Trump problem. Now, I thinkboth sides are equally guilty of that.
Trump is actually so shockingly restrained thiscampaign, yes, compared to like the
twenty sixteen, twenty twenty campaigns. So he's still Trump, and he's still
you know, probably a terrible personagain, but there's there. Him and
(42:00):
Biden are basically the same side ofa coin. Now are the you know,
same coins, separate sides. Butit's I've never seen anything like that.
Yeah, it's it is crazy timeand people from other countries like that.
We're nuts down here. Okay,Well we'll leave it at that.
We don't want to go like deep. I don't want to go deep.
(42:21):
So I want to talk about twoother shows that I've won. Is a
documentary which you would love, Brian, I'm a huge Next to these are
two of my favorite actresses in theworld, Jessica Lang and Fade doun Away.
I love Faye Dunaway. And there'sa new documentary on HBO Max.
(42:43):
It just premiered on Saturday Night. It's called Faye and it's you know,
about her and her career and allof that. And it was really really
good. Okay, And then becauseI couldn't resist, I watched because they're
always so bad. I don't knowhow his name gets put on anything to
(43:09):
direct Tyler Perry you don't like Medeaor No. And it was called Divorce
in the Black. It got azero percent on Rotten Tomatoes. It was
(43:34):
probably I think I turned it offafter about maybe fifteen minutes. It was
I don't even know how money getsspent on a movie like that. Wow,
because it's got Megan Good in it, who and she's normally a fairly
competent actress. I just watched somethingcalled American Nightmare. It's a real story
(43:55):
about a woman who got kidnapped withher husband, got tied up. She
got kidnap, but then they releasedher and she came home and they blamed
everything on her and said it wasa hoax, when in reality it wasn't.
That. It's really good. Ithought that was pretty definitively that she
did hoax it though not at all. No, it was god to see
that you got to start. Iremember that case. I feel like it
(44:16):
was very I'm really glad that sheis speaking and telling the real story because
that she was vilified. Yeah shewas unfairly. But anyway, here's how
our little picture turned out. Isn'tit cute? They're a little leg a
little and that cute and be fun. Okay, coming up on Thursday.
Coming up on Thursday, I wouldlike to tell everybody you do not want
(44:42):
to miss this. On Thursday whenI was on the phone with you,
Oh okay, what went down fastfood incident? Oh my god, I've
never I felt deep shame. Ohso we're going to talk about that.
We're going to talk about a newhot new Kardashians are using it. All
(45:02):
the celebrities are using it. Ijust got it and used it and it
is blowing off the shelves. Loveit. And I'll tell you if it
was worth the money or not.And I'm going to make a quick phone
call and we're going to try toget on the psychic that says this next
