We have someone very special on the phone. Okay, coming

be here to judge our stand up comedy contest.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
You and Brian are going to be so good.

Speaker 1 (01:59):
Oh stuff, No, who's the boss? Whose name is up there?
Speaker 3 (02:06):
Mine?
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I am Brian anyway, I know all of our names
are up there anyway. But no, we're doing it. You're funny, Brian.
This is your Eric show?
Speaker 4 (02:17):
Is it not called Eric Rimmer after Dark?
Speaker 1 (02:19):
Anyway, You're doing it. I'm doing it. So it's gonna
sneak up on it on us. It's December ninth.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
That's the star of the show.
Speaker 4 (02:25):
I'm vetoing this idea and then I support this peaceful takeover.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Thank you not happening, and then the week after that
is our fabulous gift Exchange, the Tu Christmas where.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
You are going down in.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
Flames like whatever whatever. I have so many things, like
I don't even know. I'm gonna bust them all out,
but I'm going to pick the worst for you to
go walk around Vond's when you lose that contest. We
are also bringing back the Magical Christmas Box. We're already
getting some donations from some cool, cool stuff. We have
(03:00):
Claria from Dolphace Club on the show tonight. She's going
to be live in studio. And if you haven't noticed already,
we have a brand new sponsor right over here, Dune Jewelry,
and we're gonna call the founder of Dune Jewelry. She
is a queen. She's incredible. Her name is Holly Daniels Christensen.
(03:24):
So she's gonna call. She knows that you're calling her. Okay,
So I told I gave her your phone number. So
she's in Massachusetts, so it's like ten o'clock her time,
so we need to get her.
Speaker 3 (03:35):
Over, Okay, Should I call her?
Speaker 1 (03:36):
Yes?
Speaker 4 (03:37):
Call it okay, please, mister boss man, that's.
Speaker 2 (03:39):
Right, thank you. Laura has been she's off the rails.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Yeah. By the way, I'm giving you a raise whatever.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
Hello, Hi Holly, the Hi guys.
Speaker 1 (03:52):
How are you good. I just want to say thank
you so much for joining our podcast. I could not
be more happy. And I'm going to give Eric his
piece of jewelry. I haven't shown into him. Yeah, but
I'm not gonna do it yet because we need to
talk about who Holly Daniels Christiansen is. She is the
(04:13):
founder of Doom Jewelry. Doom Jewelry is one of the
coolest websites, one of the coolest jewelry stores I've ever seen.
This started at your kitchen table, you making jewelry with elements, sand, dirt, pebbles,
things that are important to people, and it has grown
(04:36):
over the years. I mean, Holly, you've been You've been
a zoo keeper, you've been a pharmacy tech. You've been
a model, you've been a bartender, you've been in sales
and in real estate. Now, how did you sit down
one day and go, you know what, I'm going to
(04:56):
start making jewelry.
Speaker 3 (04:58):
I know why. Holly got sick of everybody else's crap.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Like everybody probably, she was like, I'm going to work
for myself.
Speaker 1 (05:07):
So yes, take us to the start. How did it
all start?
Speaker 5 (05:12):
I had been working since I was like twelve years old,
so I had always had a summer job, and I
really enjoyed working. I liked the independence that it gave me,
even at that young of an age. So I left
home when I was fifteen and went out on my
own and started working and learning from these different people
(05:34):
that I was working with, and managers and leaders and
things like that. So my education is not a traditional education.
I landed it. So I did a lot of odd
jobs throughout the years, but it was so awesome because
I learned so much, not only technical skills and people skills,
but also just the kind of leader I would want
(05:57):
to be because I worked for some pretty terrible people
and I worked with some great people too. So I
finally landed in the real estate, the real estate market
in Boston, and I loved that, but it didn't allow
me the type of creativity that I guess I dreamed
of of having in my career. I loved the people,
(06:20):
I loved the job. I still love real estate, but
I knew that I needed to create an outlet, so
I started making jewelry at my kitchen table for friends
and family, using stands from Cape Cod where I grew up.
Speaker 1 (06:33):
Now, did you know how to make Jory or did
you like watch it online? Or did you just start
doing it and figuring it out along the way.
Speaker 5 (06:43):
My got such a good question. No, I didn't. And
it feels so long ago. Sometimes it feels like yesterday,
and sometimes it feels like one hundred and fifty years
ago that this all started. I'm sure you can understand
that I was actually helping my childhood best friend who
had a small business making ornaments out of sand. So
(07:05):
they were these really beautiful little snowflake ornaments from all
the different kind of iconic beaches on Cape Cod where
we grew up, and that was our happy place, the beach.
So she loved making everything, but she didn't love going
out and selling it. And I was a people person.
I love people, I still do, and so I would
(07:26):
go out to arts and craft shows and I would
see this kind of aha moment when people were like,
oh this, I can get this from my happy place
or my beach or you know, they have this ownership
of like a place, whether it's a beach or a
hiking trail or that's their place. And we were like, well,
what can we do this next level? Like what besides ornaments?
(07:49):
And we said, let's try to worry. So we ended
up taking a few courses at a place called Metalworks
here in Massachusetts, and eventually she ended up sticking with
her ornaments and staying home and raising her boys. And
I launched Dune Jewelry shortly after that.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Okay, So Dune Jewelry is so original and creative because
and so personal and such a perfect gift for somebody
or even yourself. Because you have a sand bank of
sands and dirt and elements from all over the world.
(08:30):
How did you build your sand bank for people to
choose from? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (08:34):
That crazy. Like we have stand from Dubai, we have
sand from Namibia, we have stand from the Grand Canyon,
two hundred and fifty specific beaches on Cape Cod, all
up and down the East coast, West Coast Caribbean, Alaska.
We actually have a huge market in Alaska, and so
(08:55):
our customers sent it in. I love like every time
I meet someone, they're like, Ooh, do you get to
go everywhere and collect the sand? And like, no, that's
your job. Yeah, I'm still aspiring to uh to take
over that job, but no, it is not a it's
not a job yet. Someday maybe, but our customers have
(09:15):
sent it in over the years, and it's really cool
because it'll oftentimes come with a story about, you know,
someone who sat at a specific place at a specific
beach at a specific time every summer, or it'll have
something to do with a childhood beach house, or someone
scattered ashes on a beach somewhere that is super special
(09:36):
to their family. So there's there's so much human emotion
attached to every single stand in the sandbank. And not
to mention, I mean that sand is it's just comprised
of quartz and crystals and shells and coral and like
all the things on earth not to get to wu wu,
(09:57):
but like all the things on earth that hold the
most beautiful energy.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Ohky, So I picked a ring and I was just
trying to decide, Okay, what place is important to me,
what kind of sand where were And I'm like, oh
my gosh. I spent all of my childhood summers with
my best friend Stacy in San Clemente, California, and we
(10:24):
just had just the best memories of my childhood were there,
and wouldn't you know she had beach sand from San
Clementy and she mixed it with turquoise and mother of pearl.
And look at this ring. I don't know, look at
how beautiful. It's like it's kind of like ombre, but
(10:45):
you could see the sand at the bottom, and it's
so pretty. It's silver and it's round and it's gorgeous.
And I look at it and I smile, and I
think about good times, and I think about Stacy, and
I think about my childhood and is just so special
and I'm sure so many people think the same thing.
I want to ask you something before I give Eric
(11:06):
his ring. I'm so excited, Okay, but because I really
want to have this done for my mom and my sister. Now,
do you accept ashes and make those into.
Speaker 5 (11:21):
Every day Okay?
Speaker 1 (11:24):
So people can send in like a little bit of
ashes and you can have it made into a beautiful
necklace with maybe some turquoise and maybe some other like
mother of pearl, and make it. Oh my gosh, I okay,
my dad's ashes. I have to get someone I go
home for Thanksgiving.
Speaker 5 (11:42):
I would love to make it. I'll make it personally.
Speaker 1 (11:44):
Oh my gosh, I know exactly the design and everything. Okay,
So Holly, we're talking to Holly Daniels Christiansen. She's the
founder of Dune Jewelry Dunejewelry dot com. Oh and by
the way, if you order something online you can it's
not Laura Kane after Dark too, by the way dot com.
The link is on there with Holly's story, with Holly's picture,
(12:08):
and if you put in the promo code Laura Kane fifteen,
you get fifteen percent off your order. Okay. Now, look
it comes in this beautiful blue box. Look how classy
that is. That's really Look how classy that is? All right, Eric,
there's your ring, and then you can explain. Then you
can explain why you chose the element you did choose,
(12:28):
and then it comes in this beautiful.
Speaker 3 (12:30):
Oh it's really oh wow, there's envelope.
Speaker 1 (12:32):
With and then it even has a piece of paper
or a piece like a little flyer in there that
says what the element is and where it's from. Oh
that's really pretty, isn't that gorgeous?
Speaker 3 (12:42):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (12:42):
Now what element is that that looks so good on
your It's really very manly.
Speaker 5 (12:51):
Doesn't fit?
Speaker 2 (12:52):
No, if it's perfect no, if it's good perfect. I
did not my parents wishes. Neither one of them wanted
to be cremated, so I didn't have any ashes.
Speaker 3 (13:08):
And I I have a.
Speaker 2 (13:16):
Ring from my mom and my dad, but it doesn't
have any kind of other than it being there.
Speaker 3 (13:23):
Is it was. It was just a gold band. So
I couldn't believe that they had a beach that he
grew up.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
This is the this is the sand from the beach
where your dad grew up.
Speaker 3 (13:38):
Yeah. And do you have tears in your eyes right now? Yes?
Speaker 1 (13:40):
So this is like the kind of reaction you get.
Speaker 3 (13:46):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (13:46):
So and his name was Edward and so this had
that I I can't remember that the exact name of
the thing, but when I saw it on there, I
was like, it's right here.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
Look, it's right here on har paper. It's like she
it comes with a little with.
Speaker 5 (14:08):
Very very have you to herring?
Speaker 1 (14:11):
Cole?
Speaker 2 (14:11):
No, And this is the thing that was so upsetting
to me. In September, I was supposed to go back
and see my brother and sister, and because of all
the fires, I wasn't able to and it.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
Was gonna be I hadn't been.
Speaker 2 (14:26):
I haven't been back since I was a child, and
so I was so disappointed, and so this I can't
thank you enough.
Speaker 3 (14:35):
I'll never take it off. It's really really pretty.
Speaker 5 (14:38):
It just means it's beautiful.
Speaker 3 (14:43):
You do lovely work. It's it's a.
Speaker 1 (14:47):
You know how much sand elements there were from Canada.
I was like, oh my gosh, Canada, Canada, Canada. I mean,
it's incredible how much you have in your sandbank.
Speaker 3 (14:55):
Yeah, it's unbelievable.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
She not only does that, but she does charity work too.
Can you talk about some of your foundations or your
charity some of the money goes to.
Speaker 5 (15:06):
Yeah, yeah, I mean we love giving back. We work
with Four Ocean. I'm sure have you heard of Four Oceans. Yes,
they've pulled over thirty million pounds of plastic out of
our oceans. They are unbelievable. The founder is just incredible.
He's an inventor. He comes up with different ways to
(15:28):
pull more and more plastic. But anyway, so they take
some of the plastic and they break it down into
like a granular matter or particulate matter in all these
little colors, and then they send it to us so
we can actually use some of this this plastic in
our designs. And it gives a really bright top of color.
(15:49):
Number one. Number two we're upcycling, recycling that plastic exactly.
And number three it pulls another five pounds from our oceans.
So we're very collaborative when it comes to excuse me,
coastal preservations. And then and then we also have donated
over two hundred and fifty thousand dollars to other charities
(16:11):
all over the world, specifically Smile Masks, which actually puts
beach wheelchairs onto public speeches so that people with disabilities
can actually be taken down through like over the beach
into the water. They float. They're unbelievable. Yeah, that's a
(16:32):
great organization.
Speaker 1 (16:33):
Oh my gosh, I have never heard of this, and
this is beautiful thing. I love that that that you're
so involved in that. And you've written a.
Speaker 5 (16:43):
Book, yes, Happiness Comes in Ways.
Speaker 1 (16:47):
Yes, a couple of years ago. Now what is your
book about and how can we get it?
Speaker 5 (16:53):
So it's really a celebration of the ocean and Mother
Earth and women. It really does tie hi directly to
women and their strength and perseverance. So it's ten chapters
that I wrote that are life lessons from the ocean.
So like be abundant, be soulful. And then there are
coordinating quotes that I collected from all the women that
(17:16):
I've worked with over the past fourteen years since I've
launched Dunes, and they're all original quotes from these women.
They're so good. Beautiful pictures and then meditations at the
end of each chester just short nature based meditations and
then sand stories. So ten ten chapters, ten zan stories,
(17:37):
ten meditations, and yeah, it's a really, really fun book.
It's perfect for the coffee table and just to pick
up once in a while and feel uplifted.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
Where can we get happiness comes in waves?
Speaker 5 (17:50):
Don jewelry dot com or we are also.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
On Amazon Awesome, Awesome, but doinjury dot com is probably
the better pace.
Speaker 3 (18:00):
Get it.
Speaker 1 (18:00):
Then you can browse through all the jewelry. We're talking
to Holly Daniels Christiansen, and I know it's super late
for you there right now in Massachusetts. Is that's where
you are right now?
Speaker 6 (18:11):
Right? Yes?
Speaker 1 (18:12):
Okay, I just want to know, since it's Thanksgiving week
this year twenty twenty four, one thing that you're thankful for.
Speaker 5 (18:21):
Us my daughters, my two daughters, and how old are they?
Eleven and twelve?
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Oh my gosh, one after the other. Yes, yes, how's
it going?
Speaker 5 (18:33):
How's it going on?
Speaker 1 (18:34):
You know? Yes?
Speaker 5 (18:36):
Absolutely?
Speaker 1 (18:37):
Are they still about like the nice age or are
they starting to get like sassy?
Speaker 5 (18:42):
You know? It's funny, that's that's such an interesting question
because the older one is very sweet and just polite
and all the things, and then the younger one is
the one that gives me more fast so she's kind
of tweeting harder than the queen.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (19:02):
But I think it's always the second child, right. I'm
an only child, so I don't know, but I think
it's always the second one.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
That's the it is, you know what it usually is,
even though both of my children are perfect. Yeah, right,
I was all right, Yeah, I'm sure you were a
delight Eric. Okay. Holly Daniels Christiansen, founder and owner of
Dune Jewelry. Go to Dunejewelry dot com. You can send
in any kind of element that is special to you
(19:29):
and have it made into a beautiful piece of jewelry.
And again, promo code is Laura Kane fifteen for fifteen
percent off your order. Holly, thank you so much for joining.
Speaker 2 (19:39):
You you, Holly, very sweet of you to do this
and we'll actually take a picture of our rings and
post it online because they really are beautiful.
Speaker 1 (19:47):
We're going to take a picture, yeah, and post it
on Instagram and give.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
That would be amazing.
Speaker 6 (19:52):
Oh.
Speaker 5 (19:52):
I appreciate you guys so much. Thank you, Laura, thank you, Eric.
Speaker 3 (19:55):
Of course, thank you. And happy holiday?
Speaker 1 (19:57):
Yes, thanks good, yes you too, thank you? Okay, bye,
okay bye. Oh my gosh. Well isn't this the coolest thing?
Speaker 3 (20:08):
Yeah, it's really cool.
Speaker 1 (20:09):
Okay, so again, it's done Jewelry dot com. I can't
even wait to get these necklaces made for my mom
and my sister with my dad's ashes. My Dad's been
gone for many years, but my mom still has a
little bit of his ashes left. I have to remember
to get them at Thanksgiving. Those why, I can send
them in and have them made and just like a
really cool necklace.
Speaker 2 (20:31):
I'm I'm predicting that this could be disastrous, so you
might want to have your mom or Jenny do it.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Oh with me handling the ashes, I've already lost my
own bag.
Speaker 3 (20:42):
Yeah, I think you should. She should let somebody else
do it.
Speaker 1 (20:45):
If I send it right away, then we're good. I'm
going to misplace it. What am I going to do
all the time?
Speaker 2 (20:53):
Ione, maybe your mom should mail them to me. Okay,
keep them in your Yeah, I'm I'm afraid of you
getting Let me just handle it.
Speaker 1 (21:04):
What's something that I never like? Leave my well? No,
I've left my purse places, there's nothing. There's nothing.
Speaker 3 (21:12):
You've left your car door? But like I mean, I left.
Speaker 1 (21:14):
The keys in the door the other night. Yeah, just
they were just hanging and at the front door. Just
so anybody can come intimes. I know I do too,
I do too. Okay, So that is one of the
queens we are interviewing.
Speaker 3 (21:31):
I was gonna say, speaking of cool.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Mm hmmm, Claria, will you please come up in the
hot seat? Claria from doll Face Club. She's the founder
of doll Face Club. This is a recovery home for
women here. Okay, what wait here?
Speaker 6 (21:59):
He's not a ship.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
He's a Pekinese, but he looks like a should. It's okay, now,
I don't even care, no disrespect Elvis.
Speaker 3 (22:06):
He doesn't do that to anybody.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
He loves your vibe. You must love your vibe here.
You take him Eric because I can't handle he stinks. Okay,
So Claria, you are incredible to me because I really
have to talk into this thing. At such a young age,
(22:34):
you had a problem with substances, You went to rehab.
You decided with another group of women, hey, let's form
a club. All wear the same logo, all wear the
same kind of clothes and will be like kind of
like badass and show that recovery is cool. Right, and
(22:55):
who how did you come up with Dolphace Club? The name?
Speaker 6 (22:59):
The name actually was somebody from high school commenting on
something on Facebook. She put like, you're so cute and
then I put hashtag doll Face Club to her and
I just like clicked on it and it was like nothing,
nothing at all, And I was like, it's so weird.
So I went down a rabbit hole. Probably was late.
I don't even know, down a rabbit hole. I started
(23:19):
googling and then I just couldn't find anything. So I
was like, oh my gosh, that is so cute. And
then I don't know, I don't even it just from that,
just from that hash.
Speaker 1 (23:28):
So you got that hashtag and then you got the website.
Speaker 6 (23:31):
Well, the next day literally that was a Sunday, a Monday.
I was a day off, and then I went down
to the recorder's office because you could buy the fictitious
business name there.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
M M.
Speaker 6 (23:40):
And then I just remember being in there with like
all my ripped up baggy jeans and everybody's in there
with suits and bad through briefcases, and I'm like, I
would like to buy this as a clothing brand, and
it was so cute. The girl behind the desk was like,
oh my gosh, I love the name, and she's like
talking to her cover her look. Did you know there's
no doll face club? And then we just like I
was so pun up. And when I like walked out
(24:02):
of there like buying it whatever seventy bucks or something,
I just felt like, Wow, this is like we're going
to be a club. We're going to do service, We're
going to like attract a younger crowd.
Speaker 1 (24:13):
And then how far into your recovery did it start?
Speaker 6 (24:18):
It was like the end of my third year.
Speaker 1 (24:21):
And did you always want to be besides it helping
women in recovery and helping people, did you always want
to be a designer? Did you always like have that
in you?
Speaker 6 (24:31):
No, I've always been super creative and I've my family.
I grew up thrifting, you know, really really have a choice.
Speaker 1 (24:39):
Yeah, I mean you grew up in Albania.
Speaker 6 (24:41):
I grew up in so I was born in Albania.
I was around nine. Ten months I moved to Italy
and then I lived in northern Italy and Bergamont until
I moved here in nineteen ninety six.
Speaker 1 (24:52):
Can you speak Italian?
Speaker 6 (24:54):
Not really? I think I've San Diego has kind of
like meshed my Spanish Italian.
Speaker 1 (24:59):
You know, No, it's kind of like all like one language. Hilarious.
Speaker 6 (25:03):
My mom like talks to people that are speaking Spanish
in Italian. I'm like, no, it doesn't worgan they understand me.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
It is kind of close. It is kind of close.
Now you Now, let's let's talk about the first women's
recovery home that you opened. Yes, this was a home
in the college area that was uh that was given
to you or was it what did you buy? It?
Speaker 6 (25:29):
Was it investment property for my mom and her wife
and originally okay, and at that time I had roommates,
the girls in the Dolphins club. We were all roommates
somewhere in college. And then my mom was like, I'm
just gonna buy this property and can you just make
sure that you guys pay the mortgage so that you know,
and I was like, hmmm, sounds weird. Like I saw
the house and I was like okay. And then we
(25:50):
lived there for like I want to say, four years
until I met my husband. We all lived there, me
and all the girls.
Speaker 1 (25:58):
So oh my god, it was like it's like.
Speaker 6 (26:00):
Where I started my recovery. And then also where like
a lot of the girls that are still in the
club started our recovery.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
How many girls are in that first house now? Yes, thirteen?
Is that the Max?
Speaker 6 (26:11):
That is a Max?
Speaker 1 (26:12):
Okay? All of the furnishings, all of the pillows, all
of the wall hangings. It was either thrifted re upped,
like repurpose, that's what the word is. And then it's
all like dollface, just wait till we're gonna get to
some of your designs in just a second, because like I'm.
Speaker 3 (26:30):
Obsessing right now.
Speaker 1 (26:32):
I have like one, two, three, four, five sweat suits.
I have two sweatshirts. Oh my gosh, Dave.
Speaker 6 (26:45):
There's something addictive about my sweatsuit. That's like people don't
even care what's on it. They're like, do you have
what color do you have? And I'm like, people don't
understand until they get the first one, I'm like, they're.
Speaker 1 (26:55):
Just they're just the coolest. This design. I love the girl.
This is one of my first ones that I got.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
I get compliments on this. I wear it all the
time because they're so comfortable. Okay, can I get compliments
on it all the time.
Speaker 1 (27:09):
The one that people stop me, They stop me, I go,
that is the coolest sweatshirt is the clown zip up
with the crazy looking clowns on it. Like, people love
that and then it stands out. So it's just you're
so creative. Okay, before we get to your designs. In
(27:29):
one year, you have opened two more recovery homes.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
Two and we're like today was the third. Yeah, well
technically I was supposed to move in three people today
and I have like fandangle to where we're like kind
of couching right now.
Speaker 1 (27:47):
Hey, whatever works for the people.
Speaker 6 (27:49):
I was going to move, like my older girls that
had been with me for a long time, into the
construction zone because we bought the house next door. Oh okay,
you didn't want from the original house, No, from the
one that we Okay, so June, yes, we found a
property that we absolutely fell in love with. We we've
been looking for properties to rent, like I've talked to
(28:12):
you about before, and then we kind of just played
with numbers and saw that in the long run to
rent would be way more costly than to buy, which
doesn't make sense, but with the interest rate and it
was doable, We're like, okay, if we'd rather be in
debt owning then paying somebody's rent and then something going
wrong and us having to fix somebody else's house, So
then we're like okay. So we been looking at properties,
(28:35):
there was nothing great, and then out of nowhere, my
mom's wife was like, hey, there's a property that literally
just came on right now, like go like twenty minutes ago.
So I was like, okay, let's just go drive by.
And then we drove by and I'm like, the cutest
little Vietnamese lady was outside of her house. She'd been
living there for fifty years. Literally we fell in love
(28:55):
with each other.
Speaker 1 (28:56):
What area is that?
Speaker 6 (28:57):
One is in Spring Valley?
Speaker 1 (28:58):
Okay?
Speaker 6 (28:58):
So then boom, she doesn't even put it on the market.
She wore an s girl for that house. So then
I was like, okay, God, I see you, Like this
is like for sure not coincidences on you know. So
then of course my mom and her wife, you know,
being like if this falls through, we want to have
a backup. So I was like, okay, let's just you know,
let's look at one property if anything. So we get
(29:19):
to this other property. This one's in Lemon Grove, and
at this point we're an es grow for like three weeks.
But there's there's a lot of stipulations with that house
because a was it was like as is, and also
the woman needed to live there until like the end
of July, so it was kind of like a long
s grow. So then boom, they're like, let's look at
this other property. We get there and I'm like, I
(29:39):
don't even want to go inside because the outside's kind
of ugly, you know, and I'm a shallow I'm the worst.
I'm the worst, you know. I'm like it has to
have the doll phase vibe. Yeah. So then I'm like, okay, whatever,
we'll go inside. We get inside and there's like it's
just like there's something about it. There's like in the
living room there's like two huge windows that overlook like vines.
I can't even explain it. Then you go downstairs and
(30:01):
it's a whole other house, it's like another three bedroom,
two bath. So then I was like, oh okay. So
I went back in the carp set. I'm like, well,
now I don't want the other house. And they're like, well,
see what we can do. So I was like, oh, okay,
so we're just gonna all all of us are going
to be in debt, you know, let's just do it.
So we went for it, and we got that too.
Speaker 1 (30:22):
Oh my god, okay, I know, and that one is
for men.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
That the first one ended up being for men because
I like the second one so much. Oh, but this
is what happened. So the first house, it was originally
the men's house, were the Spring Valley one. So then
this house we were gonna do it a six bedroom
for a bath house. And then we saw that there
was a separate washer and dryer hookup downstairs. So we're like,
(30:47):
I'm gonna move there. So I live at the bottom
of the store.
Speaker 1 (30:50):
We're living, you do, And so there around that house,
I am the house, You're the house all now. I
they call her daddy, by the way, No, I love that.
Speaker 6 (31:02):
I was thinking about that on the way here. I'm like,
I need to be more nurturing like it's not me,
you know, I'm more of like the get your together
you know.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
Okay, you know it's worked so far. Okay.
Speaker 3 (31:13):
I like being called dad here every once in a while.
Speaker 1 (31:15):
So you know, but not but in a different context.
Yeah exactly, but yeah, I okay, how many women live
in the home that you're.
Speaker 6 (31:26):
In right now? Thirteen?
Speaker 1 (31:29):
So you have thirteen and thirteen and.
Speaker 6 (31:31):
Then sixteen and the men's and.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
The men's what what's the I love the name of
the men's house.
Speaker 6 (31:37):
It's called Crooked Saints.
Speaker 1 (31:38):
Okay, and how many men live there?
Speaker 6 (31:40):
Sixteen?
Speaker 1 (31:41):
Oh you just said that now.
Speaker 6 (31:42):
And they're all so cute. It's like the weirdest thing.
It's like we have a criteria, like we don't, absolutely don't.
If anybody needs help, please contact me. But but they're
all cute. It's so weird. Yeah, it's just like but
like it's like Love Island is there. There should be
a reality show. I swear some of the things that happened,
Like are there any.
Speaker 1 (31:59):
Mixed meetings there? Absolutely? Okay? Are they like my age thing?
Speaker 6 (32:03):
You know what relax.
Speaker 1 (32:07):
Is somebody in recovery just like.
Speaker 6 (32:08):
The knew, Oh they would eat you. You just come
you just come on Saturday at five thirty pm. Okay
they not the Saturday we have the convention. But okay,
eat you up.
Speaker 1 (32:19):
Okay. Oh I want that. I need that. I need
that of confidence in my life right now.
Speaker 6 (32:26):
Tell me right, I'm like, you know, if you have every
bad they just come over this man. So we're living
with me. A little walk around there, see how you feel.
Speaker 1 (32:32):
After So this year it has been absolutely huge for you.
Speaker 6 (32:37):
It has been insane in my whole family, Like I
finally have everybody on board. I'm draining every single one
of their life savings. But all invest invest invest right.
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Hey working, if it is working, just do it real estate.
Speaker 6 (32:51):
I'm able to fill these houses this fast.
Speaker 3 (32:54):
There's incredible.
Speaker 6 (32:55):
I mean that at this point something is working, so
all hands in.
Speaker 1 (32:59):
You know, if some is watching and they're like I
I just went through rehab or I'm an outpatient, but
I feel like I need to live in a sober
living facility for a while to get my feet. Oh.
Speaker 6 (33:12):
I just want to be involved in the recovery scene.
In general, we do things as a family.
Speaker 1 (33:16):
It's it's do you get on a list, like how
how do how does somebody get into one of your homes.
Speaker 6 (33:22):
So we have an application process on doll Face Club. Sorry,
it's called Dfcsoberliving dot com. Okay, and then they emails
me their application and then I just contact them.
Speaker 1 (33:32):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (33:32):
So now with the new house, you know, I'm going
to have another. I have like another seven beds available now.
So but I mean that house, it's a that one's
a little.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
How is it living with all those women?
Speaker 6 (33:48):
I love it?
Speaker 5 (33:49):
You do?
Speaker 1 (33:50):
Oh that's great?
Speaker 6 (33:51):
I do love it. I it's I mean, I shut it.
I shut off like the stairs, like I closed it
off with the door. But I just love it. I
don't I don't do that. People think like it's like that, like,
oh my god, don't you need privacy? And I'm like,
I literally love going upstairs and like staying hi and
just like I work, you know in the garage, I
print and I'm like, so it makes me so happy
(34:13):
to like I don't know.
Speaker 1 (34:14):
And then your little boy just go upstairs with the girls.
Speaker 6 (34:17):
Oh no, I'm like twenty dollars for an hour. Who's
gonna watch him?
Speaker 5 (34:20):
There?
Speaker 6 (34:20):
They all run downstairs? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (34:23):
How old does he know?
Speaker 6 (34:24):
You'll be two in January?
Speaker 2 (34:25):
Oh?
Speaker 6 (34:26):
Okay?
Speaker 1 (34:26):
Okay, the worst he is. He's a bad he's a
he's a rough and tumble boy, run for money. He's
like sassy me and my husband, the craziest part of
both of us. Oh no, I know, I know you're tired.
Are you tired?
Speaker 6 (34:43):
You know, delirious? But that's all that matters.
Speaker 1 (34:49):
Okay. Now I picked out some things and I want
to show you. Okay, first before you bring the stuff over?
You do drops? How often do you do? Like collection drops?
Like I see on Instagram? Follow her on Instagram at
doll Face Club and she'll put on there. Okay, next
drop is Friday at nine o'clock. Boom. You got to
(35:12):
get on there because the stuff is like one of
a kind and it sells out quickly. But like, look
for that. You're gonna want it. It's so cool.
Speaker 6 (35:23):
When is one of them for your giveaway box? Oh
my gosh, okay, I bought a Jeane jacket for that.
Oh from the drop?
Speaker 1 (35:30):
There's few. When is your next drop or have you
planned that out? Yes?
Speaker 6 (35:34):
Girl, I plan like two months in advance. I don't
mess around at all. Next Friday, I'm gonna take a
break this week just because I feel like I need
to be nice to people's wallets. At this point, I'm like,
it's bad because if I want every piece, I know
that everybody else does, and I don't want to keep
doing that too long.
Speaker 1 (35:51):
I know, do you know how how much money I'm
gonna have to give you for I just keep I
just keep picking things out. But then but then at
the same time, I'm like, no, this is like so
first of all, it's great quality, it's a great design,
and it's helping people it is, and I just love that.
So I want you to show Brian his okay hoodie,
(36:14):
so go grab it. I know, well this is because
I know you love her designs and you were like, I.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Want another hoodie.
Speaker 1 (36:23):
I know you do love the hoodie? How about that one?
I know you got to hear it. I know he
got like it's a little it's a t rags Like
she comes up with all like the why do you
love I love the dinosaur? Yes, that is really one
of those. I walk in the store and they're like, oh,
that's so cute. Okay, so I have a dinosaur. You
(36:47):
have a dinosaur. Si you look dinosaur? Okay, Oh yeah, yeah, okay,
now here, bring over my little sweatsuits. So we can
show it on camera.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
A little set. She has a little set.
Speaker 1 (37:07):
They're flared. Oh my god, look at the little.
Speaker 4 (37:14):
To put real clothes on.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
No, I just I can't. I would wear that. Oh
my gosh. Okay, I'm in love. And then I got
this other hoodie. I'll show you the why. I told
you I'm addicted. It's addicting. Look at how pretty. Isn't
that beautiful? I just had to have it. Okay, now
(37:38):
show us what. Okay, we're gonna do again like we
did last year, a magical Christmas box. We have a
big bunch of cool stuff and you guys are going
to I'll tell you how we're gonna do it a
little later on. But one of my favorite designs. Yeah,
that's like I love the girl, the little girl with
a gun. And then jacket is great.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
Oh oh the jacket.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Oh my gosh, okay, oh, how are we going to
give that away?
Speaker 4 (38:09):
It's like in a shocking twist.
Speaker 3 (38:10):
I don't make sure it winds up in.
Speaker 1 (38:12):
The box twists we don't know anything, claims say.
Speaker 6 (38:18):
And then there's like a phone.
Speaker 1 (38:19):
Like, oh that's cute, Like, yeah, for the back of
your phone.
Speaker 6 (38:24):
Another back of the phone it's a wallet. This is
saving my life. I have not lost my cards since
I've used that one, so I don't feel that.
Speaker 1 (38:34):
Okay, thank you. You could put some a little bit of
ashes in that I might, I might express, and then
some croc Oh that's cute, Eric, Eric loves crocs. No,
you could put this shark like the super Platform crocks.
Speaker 3 (38:51):
Oh see it's Birkenstocks that I don't like.
Speaker 1 (38:54):
You don't like crocs.
Speaker 3 (38:55):
See, no, birken Stocks.
Speaker 1 (38:57):
I hate, Yeah, but you love the hot No, the
platform crocs.
Speaker 6 (39:04):
I love the super Platform.
Speaker 1 (39:05):
Really.
Speaker 3 (39:06):
Yeah, I even though there was such a thing.
Speaker 1 (39:09):
I didn't I actually didn't either.
Speaker 6 (39:11):
Oh my gosh, really are they new new? They are
from a brand called Cape Robbins. Okay, so there they
mimic crop they're not. I just I don't like the
regular crocs. They give like cafeteria to me.
Speaker 1 (39:22):
But I like, you know, they just made them for dogs.
Crops for dogs. Yeah, come on, that's so cute. Oh,
he would hate me. I try to put a piece
of clothing on him and he'll just he'll just stand
there and not not even move. So I just want
to ask you what I asked Holly earlier. This is
(39:46):
Clea from Dolphace Club, And I want to know this
year for Thanksgiving twenty twenty four, what are you most
thankful for?
Speaker 6 (39:56):
My family? My family and God. Honestly, I'm like, this
is probably the closest I've been to God this year
and my life has. I got baptized this year, which
was like a very big deal for me, I know.
And I'm not like a super like Bible thumber. I don't.
I don't like you know, But at the same time,
like I dedicated my life in my journey because of
(40:17):
where I came from and like where I believe that
my trust has taken me this far, and like I
got baptized in June and then in July my whole
life went.
Speaker 3 (40:26):
That's crazy, I know.
Speaker 1 (40:29):
So at this you know, what, uh do you care
to do? You want to talk about what church or
what religion?
Speaker 6 (40:35):
I go to the Rock. So yeah, person, I love.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Him, Yeah, I love him.
Speaker 6 (40:40):
He's amazing, hilarious, you know, hilarious. And I'm not mostly
for religion. I'm not. I don't like to like say
I'm a Christian or like it doesn't to me. I
believe in God and I believe I believe in the Bible,
and I believe in my relationship with Him, which has
literally gotten me this far. And this year is like,
there's no coincidence that I'm telling you, like how fast
(41:01):
my life changed this big Yeah, So it's not like
you're you're giving me credit. It is not my credit.
It is like the journey and where God has me.
Speaker 1 (41:09):
Well, yeah, you are definitely on the path you're supposed
to be on and this is your purpose in life.
You found it and have have rights. Okay, you have
an event coming up. Can anybody come to this?
Speaker 6 (41:20):
Anybody can?
Speaker 1 (41:20):
What is this?
Speaker 6 (41:21):
It's on the eighth, right, it's on the sixth, Oh,
the sixth, So it's December sixth at six o'clock at
al Patron, Harley, Davidson and Alcohol on alcohom Boulevard. And
it's gonna be a lot of fun. We're gonna do
a white Elephant gift exchange game. I'm probably gonna start
around seven o'clock and then they're giving me a section
where I can pint on Harley clothes.
Speaker 1 (41:42):
No way, I know, so Harley and Dolphace on the
same Oh, there's fifteen people get free merchandise.
Speaker 6 (41:51):
So it's gonna be fun.
Speaker 1 (41:53):
Does it? Does it?
Speaker 3 (41:55):
Is it?
Speaker 1 (41:55):
Do you need to buy a ticket for it? Or
do you show up and show up? Do you have
to be in recovery? Are in your house?
Speaker 6 (42:01):
Just come?
Speaker 3 (42:01):
So it's Dember.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Come I would love to. Oh my god, I will.
Speaker 3 (42:06):
We're going so yeah, so December sixth, okay.
Speaker 6 (42:09):
December six six to nine, and then the the White
Elephant Gift Exchange. The max is twenty five dollars. So
don't get crazy. I want to get crazy. I'm gonna
have like a whole DFC package.
Speaker 1 (42:17):

Speaker 3 (42:20):
Oh ohacause we're.
Speaker 1 (42:22):
Doing like we do. You know what TIMU is tm
we call it. We used to call it timu, but apparently.
Speaker 6 (42:27):
We do like the funny gifts to each other. It's hilarious.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
Remember lecture.
Speaker 2 (42:31):
It is like there is no one better to judge,
yes than Clia.
Speaker 3 (42:37):
I will judge.
Speaker 1 (42:39):
You want to come back on the it's the the
I think the nineteenth. Yeah, a Monday, it's a Monday night.
Speaker 6 (42:47):
This is the only problem, Secretary Monday.
Speaker 2 (42:49):

Speaker 1 (42:56):

and then you tell us, just on the down low,
who you think is gonna win or lose, because the
loser has to go dressed in whatever, holding whatever to
bombs up the street and walk around.
Speaker 6 (43:12):
Hilarious.
Speaker 3 (43:14):
I know she's going down.
Speaker 6 (43:18):
So you're gonna send me a picture of the item
or just what you bought the items? Okay, yeah? And
then and then I'm supposed to pick which which one, who's.
Speaker 1 (43:25):
The which one is the most atrocious? Which one?
Speaker 6 (43:28):
Like?
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Did I buy the most the best?
Speaker 6 (43:30):
Worst?
Speaker 1 (43:31):
Yes, exactly.
Speaker 6 (43:33):

They're like like two and a half hours.
Speaker 3 (45:32):

Speaker 6 (45:34):
She's my friend.
Speaker 1 (45:34):
So it's like we sit there in Okay, I'm going
to ask you an inappropriate question. Oh god, I'm sorry,
but I've got to know because I see people with nails,
very long nails. Your nails are very long, but a

(45:57):
life first come, just a big wad, not like tubing.

Yes, I do, because I take selium husk.
Speaker 3 (46:27):
I take cilium husk.
Speaker 6 (46:31):
He cracks me up. One time he said something about you.
He's actually poops once a week.
Speaker 1 (46:35):
It's true, like twice a week. Shut up, she said, no,
twice a week.
