  • Setting: President Trump held a press conference after attending Charlie Kirk’s funeral, teasing it as a “major announcement” on autism and public health.

  • Main Claim: Trump and RFK Jr. asserted that acetaminophen (Tylenol) use during pregnancy may be associated with an increased risk of autism in children. Trump directly warned against taking Tylenol while pregnant, except in extreme cases of high fever.

  • Autism Statistics (as presented by Trump):

    • Historical rates cited: 1 in 20,000 → 1 in 10,000 → 1 in 31 overall today, and as high as 1 in 12 among boys in some regions (e.g., California).

    • He described this increase as “artificial” and linked it to medication and vaccines.

  • Specific Policy Steps Announced:

    • FDA to issue warnings and update labeling for acetaminophen, cautioning its use during pregnancy.

    • NIH, FDA, CDC, and CMS to coordinate a new effort investigating potential environmental, pharmaceutical, and vaccine links to autism.

    • New grant funding (13 awards) through NIH’s Autism Data Science Initiatives.

  • Other Health Proposals Trump Raised:

    • Vaccines: suggested spacing them out, avoiding certain ingredients (mercury, aluminum), giving MMR separately, and delaying hepatitis B vaccination until age 12.

    • Treatment: referenced new findings suggesting folate deficiency in children may contribute to autism, with therapies under research.

  • RFK Jr.’s Role:

    • He emphasized that past autism research was too focused on genetics and ignored environmental/toxic exposures.

    • Supported Trump’s push to investigate acetaminophen, vaccines, and other potential causes.

    • Announced NIH/FDA would pursue depoliticized research, new label warnings, and public education campaigns.

Speaker 1 (00:02):
The FDA will be updating the label of an existing
drug to reflect potential benefits in reducing some autism symptoms symptoms.
This gives hope to the many parents with autistic children
that it may be possible to improve their lives. That's
one of the things that I'm very very happy about.

Speaker 2 (00:18):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.

Speaker 3 (00:22):
Good Tuesday morning. So nice to have you with us
on the forty seven Morning Update. And we've got one
major story for you. The President of the United States America,
standing next to RFK Junior and doctor Oz have come
out with major changes and recommendations when it comes to
dealing with the issue of autism. The President said he'd
been waiting twenty years to do this. You are going

(00:45):
to hear the facts about what has been said, and
then we will play you what the President said in
its entirety, and we also hear from RFK Junior. All Right,
I want to take a moment and I want to
talk to you real quick about what you can do
to help the people in Israel. It was nearly two
years ago that the terrorists murdered more than twelve hundred

(01:09):
innocent Israelis and they took two hundred and fifty hostages.
Today it seems as if the cries of the dead
and dying have been drowned out by the shouts of
anti Semitism and just pure hatred, not just in America
but around the world. And the most brutal attack on
Jewish people happened. It happened since the Holocaust, and now
it's like they're trying to act like it never happened. Now.

(01:32):
This is where it is important for us to stand
with the people in Israel. It's a movement of love
and support for the people of Israel, and this is
where I want you to get involved. It is called
Flags of Fellowship. It's being organized by the International Fellowship
of Christians and Jews. On October fifth, you can stand

(01:54):
with Israel and the victims proudly. Just a few weeks away,
millions across the America will prayerfully plant an Israeli flag
in honor and solidarity with the victims of October the seventh,
twenty twenty three, and stand with their grieving families. You
can be a part of this movement as well. And

(02:15):
that's what I love about what IFCJ does they're making
sure that the world knows there are lots of people
of faith in this country and friends and advocates for Israel.
They're going to stand with them. You can get more
information about how you can join the Flags of Fellowship movement,
including your church. There are going to be countless churches

(02:36):
around the country. They're going to plant flags as well.
So all you have to do to get involved with
Flags of Fellowship movement is go to IFCJ dot org.
That's IFCJ dot org. Stand with Israel on October the fifth,
it's just a few weeks away. And if your church
you think would want to be involved, you can also
find out more about how to get your church to

(02:58):
be involved on a special Sunday at IFCJ dot org.
That's if CJ dot org. It's the forty seven Morning
Update and it starts.

Speaker 2 (03:08):
Right now story number one.

Speaker 3 (03:10):
It was a major announcement from the White House today
is President Donald Trump, RFK Junior, doctor Oz and others
gathered to talk about an important issue and that is autism,
and the takeaways are significant. Donald Trump and RFK Junior
described autism spectrum disorder known as asd AS having surged

(03:31):
four hundred percent since the year two thousand. They stated
it now affects about one and thirty one American children. Now,
the President had one significant warning and it was talking
about a set of metaphin also known as taiwan al.
The administration is associating a seat of medaphin or taiwanol
used during pregnancy with a possible increased risk of autism

(03:55):
based on earlier studies. As a result, the FDA will
issue a physician to notice and start the process to
change safety labeling for a seat of metaphin to reflect
these concerns. Now, the administration is also launching a public
service campaign to inform families and advise pregnant women to

(04:15):
use a seat of metaphin only when medically necessary, use
the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration possible for
the patient. We're also learning about research investment. The NIH
is funding thirteen new projects under what they call the
Autism Data Science Initiative the ADSI, with more than fifty

(04:37):
million in grants involving large scale biological, clinical, environmental, and
behavioral data. Also, the administration said they will create replication
hubs and include community engagement to ensure the research aligns
with the needs of families and people suffering with autism.
We also know that they're looking into other cures for autism.

(05:01):
The White House also said they're going to look at
things that can help people with autisms and even the
real possibility of cures obviously under medical supervision, working with
doctors and different therapies. And then if you get back
to a seat of medicine known as Taiwan on to
you and I. There is recognition of conflicting literature. The
announcement acknowledges that there is no conclusive, casual proof that

(05:25):
tawanol causes autism. There is concern, however, about untreated fever,
another risk if women avoid the drug completely, and that
is what RFK said is important transparency. RFK Junior, in
his role as a Secretary of Health and Human Services,
has played a central role in the announcement. Part of

(05:47):
what he said today, he emphasized that autism has been
neglected and that families have been left without answers or
options as rates have continued to rise. He described the
administration's approach bold and supportive of opening up new treatment pathways,
in forming families and doctors of potential risks and investing

(06:08):
insignificant research which will benefit many Americans. RFK Junior also
says he supports the FDA's label updates for different types
of treatment for children with AST who have different deficiencies
that need different types of treatment, and he also said
it will deal with Medicaid when appropriate as well. RFK

(06:30):
Junior back to move to begin changing safety communications and
labeling for a set of medicine use during pregnancy, while
urging medical caution and acknowledging uncertainties. So what is this
about transparency. Yes, there's already a massive amount of pushback
and caution for medical experts, but what the White House

(06:52):
is saying is we can't keep doing things the way
we are now, which brings me to what the President
had to say at the White House and RFK Junior.
I want you to hear from both of them in
their own words.

Speaker 1 (07:05):
Thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (07:07):
So.

Speaker 1 (07:07):
I've been waiting for this meeting for twenty years actually,
and it's not that everything's one hundred percent understood or known,
but I think we've made a lot of strides. I
wish it was done a long time ago. Today we're
delighted to be joined by America's top medical and public
health professionals as we announced historic steps to confront the

(07:29):
crisis of autism. Horrible, horrible crisis. I want to thank
the man who brought this issue to the forefront of
American politics along with me, and we actually met in
my office. Is it like twenty years ago, Bobby, It's
probably twenty years ago in New York. I was a developer,

(07:52):
as you probably heard. I always had very strong feelings
about autism and how it happened and where it came from.
And he and I, I don't know the word got out,
and I wouldn't say that people were very understanding of
where we were. But it's turning out that we understood
a lot more than a lot of people who studied it.

(08:14):
We think, and I say we think because I don't
think they were really letting the public know what they knew.
Thanks as well to the Director of the National Institute
of Health, doctor j Badicharia, FDA Commissioner doctor Martin mccairry.
These are great people. Administrator of the Centers for Medicine
and Medicaid Services, doctor Memodaz, and Acting Assistant Secretary of HHS,

(08:40):
doctor Dorothy Think. So thank you all. Thank you Dorothy
very much. The meteoric rise in autism is among the
most alarming public health developments in history. There's never been
anything like this. Just a few decades ago, one in
ten thousand children had autism. That's not a long time,

(09:01):
and I've always heard, you know, they sell a few,
but I think it's a lot less time than that.
It used to be one in twenty thousand, then one
in ten thousand, and I would say that's probably eighteen
years ago, and now it's one in thirty one. But
in some areas it's much worse than that, if you

(09:24):
can believe it. One in thirty one, and I gave
numbers yesterday for boys, it's one in twelve. I was
told that's in California, where they have a for some reason,
a more severe problem. But whether it's one in twelve
or one in thirty one, can you imagine that's down
from one in twenty thousand and one in ten thousand

(09:44):
and now we're at the level of one in twelve
in some cases for boys, one in thirty one overall.
So since two thousand, autism rates have surged by much
more than four hundred percent. Instead of attacking those who
ask questions, everyone should be grateful for those who are
trying to get the answers to this complex situation. And

(10:10):
the first day all of these great doctors behind me
were there, I told them, this is what we got it.
We have to find out because when you go from
twenty thousand to ten thousand and then you go to twelve,
you know there's something artificial. They're taking something. And by
the way, I think I can say that there are
certain groups of people that don't take vaccines and don't

(10:32):
take any pills, that have no autism, that have no autism.
Does that tell you something that's currently Is that a
correct statement? By the way, there.

Speaker 4 (10:44):
Are some studies that suggest that yeah, with the Homish,
for example.

Speaker 1 (10:48):
The Amish, yeah, virtually no, I heard none. See. Bobby
wants to be very careful with what he says, and
he should, but I'm not so careful with what I say.
But you have certain groups Amish as an example, they
have essentially no autism. First effective immediately, the FDA will

(11:09):
be notifying physicians that the use of said well, let's
see how we say that acid menefin acetaminofin said okay,
which is basically commonly known as thailand all during pregnancy

(11:29):
can be associated with a very increased risk of autism.
So taking thailand all is not good, all right, I'll
say it. It's not good. For this reason, they are
strongly recommending that women limit tiler all use during pregnancy

(11:53):
unless medically necessary. That's, for instance, in cases of extremely
high fever. Then you feel you can't tough it out,
you can't do it. I guess there's that. It's a
small number of cases, I think, But if you can't
tough it out, if you can't do it, that's what

(12:16):
you're gonna have to do. You'll take a tile and all,
but it'll be very sparingly. It can be something that's
very dangerous to the woman's health. In other words, a
fever that's very very dangerous, and ideally a doctor's decision
because I think you shouldn't take it, and you shouldn't
take it during the entire pregnancy. They may tell you

(12:37):
that toward the end of the pregnancy. You shouldn't take
it during the entire and you shouldn't give the child
the tailan all. Every time he goes he's born, and
he goes and has a shot, you shouldn't give a
titlan all to that child. All pregnant women should talk
to their doctors for more information about limiting the use
of this medication while pregnant. So ideally you don't take

(12:59):
it at all, but if you have to, if you
can't tough it out, if there's a problem, you're going
to end up doing it. The other thing that I
can tell you that I'll say that. They will maybe
say it a little bit later date. But I think
when you go for the shot, you do it over
a five time period, take it over five times or
four times, but you take it in smaller doses and

(13:23):
you spread it out over a period of years. And
they pump so much stuff into those beautiful little babies.
It's a disgrace. I don't see it. I think it
has I think it's very bad. They're pumping it looks
like they're pumping into a horse. You have a little child,
a little fragile child that he had a vat of

(13:45):
eighty different vaccines I guess eighty different blends, and they
pump it in. So ideally a woman won't take Kyland
all and on the vaccines, it would be good. Instead
of one visit where they pump the baby loaded up
with stuff. You'll do it over a period of four

(14:07):
times or five times.

Speaker 4 (14:08):
I was.

Speaker 1 (14:09):
I mean, I've been so into this issue for so
many years, just because I couldn't understand how a thing
like this could happen. And you know, it's artificially induced.
It's not like something that when you go from all
of those, you know, healthy babies to a point where
I don't even know structurally if a country can afford it.

(14:29):
And that's the least of the problems. To have families
destroyed over this, it's just so so terrible. I also,
and we've already done this. We want no mercury in
the vaccine. We want no aluminum in the vaccine. The
MMR I think should be taken separately. This is based
on what I feel the mumps, measles, and all the

(14:57):
three should be taken separately. And it seems to be
that when you mix them there could be a problem,
so there's no downside in taking them separately. In fact,
they think it's better, so let it be separate. The
chicken pox is already separate because when that got mixed in,
I guess they made it for for a while it

(15:17):
really was bad. So there's no downside in doing it.
It's not like, oh, if you do it bad things, No,
it's only good side and it may not have that
much of an impact, but it may have a big impact.
So let those be taken separately. And then hepatitis B
is sexually transmitted. There's no reason to give a baby

(15:42):
that's almost just born hepatitis B. So I would say,
wait till the baby is twelve years old and formed
and take hepatitis B. And I think if you do
those things, it's going to be a whole different it's
going to be a revolution in a pause of sense.
In the country, the FDA will be updating the label

(16:04):
of an existing drug to reflect potential benefits in reducing
some autism symptoms symptoms. This gives hope to the many
parents with autistic children that it may be possible to
improve their lives. That's one of the things that I'm
very very happy about. I mean, this was mostly going
to be on how not to have the child affect it,

(16:27):
but we've learned some pretty good things about certain elements
of genius that can be given to a baby, and
the baby can get better and in some cases maybe
substantially better. Not going to be easy but be a
lot easier if it didn't happen in the first place,

(16:49):
as these great parents fully understand, right, they fully understand.
I feel so terribly fair. I have so many friends
with autistic children. It's just a tough situation. Finally, to
help reach the ultimate goal of ending the autism fever,
the NIH will be announcing thirteen major grant awards from
the Autism Data Science Initiatives. Then, to be honest with you,

(17:13):
to me, that's the least important. It's not even a
money thing at this point. There's so much money. But
they have to do and they have to move quickly.
When the alternative is that nothing bad can happen. Let's
do it now. I was just saying to Bobby and
the group, let's do it now. Nothing bad can happen.
It can only good happen. But with Thailand or don't

(17:34):
take it. Don't take it. And if you can't live,
if your fever is so bad, you have to take one,
because there's no alternative to that. Sadly, first question, what
can you take instead? It's actually there's not an alternative
to that. And as you know, other of the medicines
are absolutely proven bad. I mean they've been proven bad

(17:56):
with the aspirins and the advils and others right proven bad.
So I'd like to ask Bobby to get up to
the podium and say a few words, and then doctor
Bodicheria and doctor McCarry, doctor Oz, doctor Fink, followed by
two incredible mothers that have experienced firsthand what this country's

(18:16):
going through, what parts of the world are going through.
And I will say there are parts of the world
that don't take Thailand all. I mean, there's a rumor
and I don't know if it's so or not that
Cuba they don't have Tyler because they don't have the
money to fit Tyland all. And they have virtually no autism. Okay,
tell me about that one. And there are other parts
of the world where they don't have Tyland ol where

(18:38):
they don't have autism. That tells you a lot. And
I want to say it right now. And you know
the way I look at it, don't take it. Don't
take it. There's no downside in not taking it. So
I'd like to ask Bobby to come up and say
a few words. I hope I didn't ruin his day,
but that's the way I feel I've been very strong

(18:59):
in subject for a long time. You know, life is
common sense to and there's a lot of common sense
in this, and I wish things like this were brought up,
and this group has worked so hard on it. But
I'd like to be a little bit more, a little
speedier in the process of a recommendation, because there's no
harm in going quicker. There's absolutely no harm. At worst,

(19:21):
there's no harm. Thank you very much, Bobby, Please.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
Thank you President. To meet the President's challenge, I ordered
HHS to launched unprecedented all agency effort to identify all
cause of autism, including toxic and pharmaceutical exposures. At President
Trump's urging, NIH, FDA, CDC, and CMS are turning over

(19:48):
every stone to identify the ideology of the autism epidemic
and how patience and parents can prevent and reverse this
alarming trend. We have broken down the traditional size that
have long separated the agencies, and we have fast tracked
research and guidance. Historically, NIH has focused almost solely on

(20:09):
politically to save and entirely fruitless research about the genetic
drivers of autism, and that would be like studying the
genetic drivers of lung cancer without looking at cigarettes, and
that's what NIH has been doing for twenty years. As
a result, we don't have an answer to this critical question.

(20:30):
Despite the cataclysmic impact of the epidemic on our nation's children,
we are now replaced that we are now replacing the
institutional culture of politicized science and corruption with evidence based medicine.
NIH research teams are currently testing multiple hypotheses with no
area off limits. We promise transparency as we uncover the

(20:53):
potential causes and treatments, and we will notify the public
regularly of our progress. Today, we are announcing two important
findings from our autism work that are vital for parents
to know as they make these decisions. First, AHHS will
act on acet of metaphine. The FDA is responding to
clinical and laboratory studies. It suggests a potential association between

(21:19):
a cinemataphin used during pregnancy and advertise ner developmental outcomes,
including later diagnosis for ADHD and autism. Scientists are proposed
biological mechanisms linking prenatal acida medicine exposure to altered brain development.
We have also evaluated the contrary studies that show no

(21:42):
association to the FDA will issue physician's notice about the
risk of acet of metaphine during pregnancy and begin the
process to initiate a safety label change. AHHS will launch
a nationwide public service campaign to inform families and protect
public health. FDA also recognized that a set of metaphine

(22:04):
is often the only tool for fevers in pain in pregnancy,
as other alternatives have well documented adverse effects. HHS once
therefore to encourage clinicians to exercise their best judgment and
the use of a metaphine for fevers and pain and
pregnancy by prescribing the lowest effective to use the short

(22:28):
is necessary to duration and only when treatment is required. Furthermore,
thanks to also to the politicization of science, the safety
of a cent of metaphine against the risk of neurodevelopmental
disorders in young children has never been validated. Prudent medicine
therefore suggests caution a set of metaphine use young children,

(22:53):
especially in strong evidence also has associated it with liver toxicity.
Some stead he has also found the use of a
set of metaphant and children can potentially prolong viral illnesses.
FDA will drive new research to safeguard mothers, children and families.
In addition to a possible set of men connection to

(23:17):
autism for pregnant women, infants in toddlers, our research has
revealed that folate deficiency in a child's brain can lead
to autism. We have also identified an exciting therapy that
may benefit large numbers of children who suffer from autism.
Beer reviewed literature has documented that up to sixty percent

(23:37):
of fol late deficient children with ASD and have improve
verbal communications if given. Luca orren I have instructed nih
FDA and CMS helped doctors who treat children appropriately. JA
will help tell that story which started with sound science,
the kind that restores faith and the announcement of this

(24:02):
announcement also represents the historic collaboration between nih f the
a CDC, and CMS. We expect to be this to
be the first and many announcements over the coming years
that deliver actual information to parents on underlying cause of
autism and the potential paths for prevention and reversal. Finally,

(24:25):
autism is a complex disorder with multifactorial eteology. We are
continuing to investigate a multiplicity potential causes with no areas
of taboo. One area that we are closely examining, as
the President is vaccines. Some forty to seventy percent of

(24:45):
mothers who have children with autism believe that their child
was injured by a vaccine. President Trump believes that we
should be listening to these mothers instead of gas lighting
and marginalize them, marchzing them like prior administrations. Some of
our friends like to say, we should believe all women.

(25:07):
Some of the same people have been silencing and demonizing
these mothers for three decades because research on the potential
link between autism and vaccines has been actively suppressed in
the past. It will take time for an honest look
at this topic. Scientists and I want to reassure the

(25:28):
people in the autism community, and we will be uncompromising
and relentless in our search for answers. We will perform
the studies that should have been performed twenty five years ago.
Whatever the answer is, we will tell you what we find.
We are researching this issue to all three agencies. Jay
will discuss one of our research initiatives at my age.

(25:51):
This model of unbiased, deep politicized gold standard scientific research
and academic freedom deliver actionable information to prevent and reverse
disease will be a model for the framework to deliver
similar results from any other chronic conditions that plague Americans.

Speaker 3 (26:13):
Obviously, this is a much longer show than we normally do,
but I want to make sure you could hear directly
from the President RFK Junior in their entirety of what
they had to say on a very important issue. One
thing that I also want you to look at is this,
isn't it great to have this type of transparency back
in our government at a place that used to be
so secretive and when there was a guy by the

(26:34):
name of Anthony Fauci it was running all of this.
Now we have real transparency and you have to give
thanks to the President for that.
