Speaker 1 (00:01):
So they can buy their own health insurance, which will
give far better benefits at much lower costs. It will
be far better health insurance. Military service members will receive
a special we call Warrior dividend. No tax on tips,
no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security for.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
Our great seniors.

Speaker 3 (00:23):
You're listening to the forty seven Morning Update with Ben ferguson.

Speaker 4 (00:26):
Good Thursday morning. It's nice to have you with us
on the forty seven Morning Update, and we've got a
great show for you this morning. All things Donald Trump
as he addressed the nation from the White House with
a Christmas in New Year's message that should have every
one of you excited. He talked about lower prices, lower
prices on gas, lower prices on prescription drugs, lower prices

(00:50):
on housing, and he also talked about the largest tax
refund season of all time, the present, laying out what
you can expect in twenty two twenty six, and much
of it is what was passing the big beautiful bill
that will now become a reality, including no tax on
tips or social Security or over time. It's the forty

(01:12):
seven Morning Update and it starts right now.

Speaker 3 (01:15):
Story number one.

Speaker 4 (01:16):
President Donald Trump delivered a primetime of address to the nation,
and in the nationally televised address, the President presented a
forward looking and optimistic message about the direction of the
country and the policies that his administration has pursued over
the last just eleven months. To put in perspective, he
emphasized that in the last year it has been a

(01:37):
period of meaningful progress and growing strength for the United States,
and that the best is yet to come as the
nation moves into twenty twenty six. Now you may ask
yourself this question, why, Well, much of what the President
has enacted actually hasn't taken effect yet it starts in
twenty twenty six. No tax on tips for example, time

(02:00):
tax on overtime, and no tax on social Security for
the majority of Americans will have a massive impact for
many Americans and how much money is in their bank accounts.
The President also talked about the incredible impact of stopping
immigration into this country, illegal immigration, and how it's now

(02:20):
actually lowering home prices and rental prices, prices that are
expected to come down even more in twenty twenty six,
which brings us to the key achievements and the policy
highlights of economic growth in investment. President Trump highlighted the
significant economic progress, including what he described as record level

(02:41):
of investment that is flowing into the United States of America,
which he has tied to job creation growth, much of
this coming from the leverage with tariffs. He framed the
recent policies as driving lower prices and stronger wages for
American families. Trump referred to the current economic trajectory is

(03:01):
laying the groundwork for what he cast as the greatest
economy in history. He also did something that was truly incredible,
a Christmas present that men and women in the military
will never forget. As part of his holiday season message,
he announced a one time, seventeen seventy six, that's right,

(03:22):
one thousand, seven hundred and seventy six Warrior Dividend check
to honor and support US service members that have been
under attack by the left for many years. I mean,
listen to President in his own words on this incredible moment.

Speaker 1 (03:39):
Along with the just past one big, beautiful bill tonight,
I am also proud to announce that more than one thousand,
four hundred fifty thousand, think of this, one million, four
hundred and fifty thousand military service members will receive a
special we call Warrior dividend before Christmas, a Warriort dividend

(04:02):
in honor of our nations founding in seventeen seventy six,
we are sending every soldier one thousand, seven hundred and
seventy six dollars.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
Think of that, and the checks are already on the way.

Speaker 1 (04:18):
Nobody understood that one until about thirty minutes ago.

Speaker 4 (04:22):
Not only was the President celebrating our men and women
in military, but he also said that you, as an American,
have something to celebrate coming next spring. Next spring, he says,
it's projected to be the largest tax refund season of
all time. Here's the President in his own words.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
Next year, you will also see the results of the
largest tax cuts in American history that were really accomplished
through our great, big, Beautiful Bill, perhaps the most sweeping
legislation ever passed in Congress. We wrapped twelve different bills
up into one beautiful bill that includes no tax on tips,

(05:02):
no tax on overtime, and no tax on social security
for our great seniors. Under these cuts, many families will
be saving between eleven thousand and twenty thousand dollars a year,
and next spring is projected to be the largest tax
refund season of all time.

Speaker 4 (05:22):
Not only does the President know that you need more
money in your pocket and the Left has been taking
far too much of it and wasting it for far
too long, but he also talked about healthcare, which is
actually a very important point for many Americans. He promised
future reductions in drug prices and improvements and affordability for
healthcare as part of the upcoming year's agenda.

Speaker 1 (05:46):
I'm also taking on the gigantic health insurance companies that
have gotten rich on billions of dollars of money that
should go directly to the people. The money should go
to the people, that's you, so they can buy their
your own health insurance, which will give far better benefits
at much lower costs. It will be far better health insurance.

(06:08):
The current Unaffordable Care Act was created to make insurance
companies rich. It was bad health care at much too
higher cost.

Speaker 2 (06:16):
And you see that now in.

Speaker 1 (06:18):
The steep increase in premiums being demanded by the Democrats.
And they are demanding those increases, and it's their fault.
It is not the Republican's fault. It's the Democrat's fault.
It's the Unaffordable Care Act, and everybody knew it again.
I want the money to go directly to the people
so you can buy your own health care. You'll get

(06:38):
much better health care at a much lower price. The
only losers will be insurance companies that have gotten rich
in the Democrat Party, which is totally controlled by those
same insurance companies. They will not be happy, but that's
okay with me, because you, the people, are finally going
to be getting great health care at a lower cost.

Speaker 4 (06:58):
Not only will you be getting great healthcare to lower costs,
the number one donor the Democrats in Congress have literally
been the healthcare industry. The President then moved from that
issue to another one, immigration and border security. President Trump
townting enhanced border enforcement and immigration control as part of

(07:18):
his administration's accomplishments.

Speaker 1 (07:21):
Our border was open, and because of this, our country
was being invaded by an army of twenty five million people,
many who came from prisons and jails, mental institutions, and
insane asylums. They were drug dealers, gang members, and even
eleven thousand, eight hundred and eighty eight murders, more than

(07:41):
fifty percent of whom killed more than one person. This
is what the Biden administration allowed to happen to our country,
and it can never be allowed to happen again. We
had men playing in women's sports, transgender for everybody, crime
at record level with law enforcement and words such as

(08:03):
that just absolutely forbidden.

Speaker 2 (08:06):
We had the worst trade deals ever made.

Speaker 1 (08:09):
And our country was laughed at from all over the world.

Speaker 2 (08:12):
But they're not laughing anymore.

Speaker 1 (08:15):
Over the past eleven months, we have brought more positive
change to Washington than any administration in American history.

Speaker 2 (08:25):
There's never been anything like it, and I think most
would agree.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
I was elected in a landslide, winning the popular vote
and all seven swing states and everything else, with a
mandate to take on a sick and corrupt system that
xtray really just took the wealth from people and crushed
the dreams of the American people.

Speaker 2 (08:49):
For the last four years.

Speaker 1 (08:51):
The United States was ruled by politicians who fought only
for insiders, illegal aliens, career criminals, corporate lobby prisoners, terrorists,
and above all, foreign nations which took advantage of US
at levels never seen before. They flooded your cities and
towns with illegal aliens. They decimated your hard earned savings,

(09:14):
They indoctrinated your children with hate for America released.

Speaker 2 (09:19):
Really, I mean, they just released a level.

Speaker 1 (09:21):
Of violent felons that we had never seen to prey
on innocent. They caused war, they caused mayhem, They caused
a horrible situation all over the globe. But now you
have a president who fights for the law abiding, hardworking
people of our country.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
The ones who make this nation run, who make this
nation work.

Speaker 4 (09:44):
And not only did the President talk about immigration border security,
he also talked about foreign policy and peace efforts. He
underscored diplomatic progress, including his administration's role in brokering stability
and regions of conflict and reducing global tension. These diplomatic
themes fed into broader messaging about America's renewed international leadership

(10:06):
and also what it means about security at home. Throughout
the speech, the President framed the future with optimism, previewing
initiatives he intends to pursue in twenty twenty six, including
lower drug costs through the Trump RX Program, broad tax
cuts aimed at benefiting working American families, expanded energy production

(10:26):
to reduce costs for consumers, continued efforts to address housing
affordability and rent relief, and commitment to appointing a Federal
Reserve chair who's focused on lower interest rates to support
economic expansion, which brings us to one thing that many
Americans are going to love. The President also announcing some

(10:47):
of the most aggressive housing reforms so that more Americans
can get in the game, can own a house and
not have to wait till they're much older to be
first time home buyers.

Speaker 1 (10:58):
This in the new year, I will announce some of
the most aggressive housing reform plans in American history. A
major factor in driving up housing costs was the colossal
border invasion.

Speaker 2 (11:09):
We have never been invaded.

Speaker 1 (11:11):
This is the worst thing that Frankly, in my opinion,
the worst thing that the Biden administration did to our
country is the invasion at the border. The last administration
and their allies in Congress brought in millions and millions
of migrants and gave them taxpayer funded housing while your
rent and housing costs kyrocketed.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
So there it is the President United States of America
making it very clear that he believes that this next
year is actually going to be the best year in
our history when it comes to our economy. In this address,
not only do spotlight our men and women in uniform,
also making it clear we're going back to law and order.
He wants a FED chair that will back lower interest rates.

(11:55):
He wants to keep the focus on the economy, and
also he did not bring up Venezuela. Why because clearly
that's not the focal point of the administration. He said,
we're bringing the economy back from ruin, and the economy
on prices is going to be ease for you. So
there is the president. He said, America, you're going to

(12:16):
feel relief in a bountiful twenty twenty six and that
is this President's Christmas present to every American.
