Speaker 1 (00:00):
All right, this is the world famous ben In Skin
Show ninety seven point one the Eagle, And looking at
that forecast tomorrow, it's got me freaking out just a little.
Today was beautiful, I guess. Or did it rain early
this morning?
Speaker 2 (00:12):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:12):
This morning, the afternoon has been gorgeous. It's been beautiful,
and that's what I was hoping for for opening day weather.
What is the forecast for tomorrow? Run and put your
tail between your legs.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
Let me get my model out here, promote a remote.
Did you guys get a hale last night?
Speaker 1 (00:29):
Where y'all were?
Speaker 4 (00:30):
I didn't hear any and I didn't see any hell damage.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
We got hal but we didn't have damage, but we
did get hail.
Speaker 4 (00:36):
I heard a lot of people had hal.
Speaker 1 (00:38):
Yeah, but it was just like rinky dink hale, like
actual rinky inks. You'll remember shrinkydks or you do you
put them in the oven?
Speaker 5 (00:45):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:46):
You remember shrinky inks? Right, we do. Not shrinky dinks
was like a little thing and you paint them or whatever,
and then you put them in the oven and it
turns into a little plastic. It's also what I called
my enemy's penis that.
Speaker 4 (00:57):
Was trying to make that work and you did it.
Speaker 1 (01:01):
That was he made a joke about peen size and
having an enemy. So good dude, You're on.
Speaker 3 (01:06):
Fire hourly tomorrow. I'm on Farmers Branch time right now.
This is where we are. My models are just where
I'm at right noon noon, cloudy seventy three what fifteen
percent rain?
Speaker 1 (01:21):
Okay, only fifteen percent.
Speaker 3 (01:22):
I'll take those oddss good fifteen percent fifteen percent all
throughout the day. But this is a very fluid situation
with these storms. Eleven PM is when it's supposed to
hit getting rain. But I've been told there's like an
eight hour window that this could shift. Basically told you that, yeah,
the cat breaks. They haven't talking to a lot of
guys who've been interested in weather.
Speaker 1 (01:41):
What kind of.
Speaker 4 (01:41):
Guys sucking the cat breaks? When the cat breaks, you know,
but it'll shift.
Speaker 3 (01:45):
Yeah, yeah, not only like meteorologists amateur Well yeah, absolutely, yeah.
Speaker 1 (01:51):
Okay, So tomorrow we are doing a live broadcast at
Rangers Opening Day. We're going to be at the Live
by Low's Hotel and we're going to be there early.
So if you want to come tailgate with us, come on,
bring it. We're going to be there at about noon right, Yeah,
we will be rocking and rolling by noon. I'm getting
there at seven in the morning. Okay, what time can
(02:12):
I start drinking anytime? Yep? Yeah, this is America. That's
confusing for listeners, though, what time do you want listeners there? Noon?
Speaker 6 (02:18):
All right?
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Be there at noon. And there's going to be pregame
festivities happening. And we're doing this because of our advertiser,
Rollertown beer Works, which is the brewer that we're invested
in as well. But they're hosting this huge party at
the Live by Low's Hotel, and so it's pregame action.
And then we don't have tickets to the game. We're
going to be broadcasting during the game. So if you
want to hang out and you don't have tickets to
(02:40):
the game, you can come hang out with us. We'll
be at the Live by Low's Hotel, this gorgeous outdoor
area there just outside the hotel, and that hotel is
basically on the same property as Globe Live Field or
Texas Live it's right there, adjacent to all of it.
So you'll be right in the middle of the mix.
And then immediately when the game is over, you know
where to come for the postgame party. So it's pregame,
(03:01):
during game and postgame tomorrow from the Live by Low's
Hotel right there in Arlington, And that area is kind
of like an indoor outdoor area. So if like we
do end up catching rain, there's an indoor area you
can move to, but hopefully the weather is really nice
and you can kind of kick it outside. Now, I
don't know if you've if you've talked to any folks,
but I've talked to a couple of people, and I'm
(03:22):
assuming there's more that they don't have tickets to the
game and they're just gonna come hang out with us
because we're gonna have the game on that big giant TV. Yeah,
so like the game's gonna be going on, we're gonna
be doing our show from there. So we'll have basically
pre party and then when the game when first pitch,
you know, we'll probably be starting our first segment when
first pitch is thrown, but it'll be right there on
the giant TV in front of us, so it'll almost
(03:44):
be like this very strange version of a Ben and
skin Rock simulcast of the game. Yeah, it's gonna be
a lot of fun. It's always weird.
Speaker 3 (03:50):
If we're doing the show live during the game too,
some crazy happens, we start freaking out about it, or
we don't pay attention to it.
Speaker 1 (03:57):
At all, but no, we freak out.
Speaker 3 (03:58):
You know, it's one hundred and sixty two of them,
so you know, I think it's'n be crazy tomorrow. His
opening day feels elevated. And uh, I'm just saying, I'm
we're of my party pants.
Speaker 1 (04:07):
Okay, good? What are those? Well, they're also my potty pants.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Just in case, crotchless you go a little too hard Yep,
bad thing's gonna happen.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
By the way, Ranger Nation is a part of this.
Ranger Nation. They made Section one thirty three famous at
Globalife Field, and Jake Dupree is the creator of that,
the originator, the leader of that. Jake Dupree is going
to join us today at about four to ten to
give us his three keys to success for the Texas
Rangers this baseball season. So we're going to be ranged up,
(04:36):
we're going to be partying. We're excited. We'd love for
you to come join us. If you're going to the game,
stop by Live By Lowe's Hotel before you go in come.
We're bringing fifty cases of one thirty three just to
give out fifty cases of one thirty three, which is
our premium pillsner I called our parking lot pills. It's
perfect for baseball season. It's the celebration of Ranger Nation
(04:56):
and Jonathan, our fearless leader at roller Towns, Like, I'm
rolling in with fifty cases of this. So if you're
twenty one and over, you go and get a free beer, man,
But you gotta be twenty one to drink legally. Yep.
Now you taking your kids to the game though.
Speaker 4 (05:12):
Uh?
Speaker 1 (05:12):
And so that's the Live by Low's Hotel right there
at Texas Live right there at Globe Life Field, big
gorgeous new hotel. That's where we're hanging out, party in,
pre party, during game, and postgame. But the whole thing
reminds me of the Introdark time boys. Right now, you're ready, ready, ready, ready, ready.
Speaker 6 (05:50):
Game When Evan within, I'll show you going ruin d
be except to a similar sweet pursuing Ed told out
Shaw Shank through the sewer. Now with chill in that
day Eagle, Yeah, we doing it. Three o'clock on the doc.
Got a habit for my house a dope status. How
it's starting to get crattic shows that enough multiply like
(06:11):
a rabbit.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
Tune in so out break it up, beat the habit.
Speaker 6 (06:16):
I'm on a.
Speaker 1 (06:17):
Hang out with a friend.
Speaker 4 (06:20):
Rocketed on the radio, my home grown on boy's business
talking on the radio.
Speaker 1 (06:28):
It's time to intu this fall. Oh baby, Hey we
go OKT fifteen up all up on the radio. All right,
right now, two very corny guys are in the media spotlight.
Maybe we'll get into this in the Hollywood Shuffle. Tiger
Woods and Russell Wilson are both in the news that's
(06:50):
coming up next. We got Jake Dupree from Ranger Nation
getting us ready for the Rangers season opener coming up
at four ten. We got the weekly Weekday Update at
four forty, the Today game at five today, and then
the Scroll Patrol at five point forty. Keep it locked
right here on the Eagle now before we move forward
to the Hollywood Shuffle, we are joined by our buddy
Randy Parrish with Parish Roofing Solutions. And it's important for
(07:12):
Randy to join us in days like this when we've
had bad weather. Skin mentioned getting a little bit of
hail out there in Allen and so Randy, let us
just start with you by asking what in the hell
happened last night storm wise, and what are you seeing
out there on roofs today.
Speaker 7 (07:27):
All right, Yeah, we had some big ones come through
the Metroplex last night. For most of the listeners out there,
they probably just got a lot of rain, maybe some
high wind. But there are some people who those big
storms brought big hail. We've been out in Alan McKinney, Sherman, Wiley,
Marry Reports even outside of those places that got some
(07:49):
really big hail and it was incredibly destructive. We've been
on multiple roofs today that are just decimated and they're
total and the only form of repair that's going to
be able to move them forward will be a full
roofing system replacement.
Speaker 3 (08:05):
Well Man, Ray, So you know you mentioned a lot
of those neighborhoods I live over in those neighborhoods. What
do people need to know if they were affected by
the storms?
Speaker 7 (08:14):
Well, what they need to know and probably what you
guys already know if you were in those areas that
your neighborhoods have already been flooded with contractors. They're going
door to the rock can only it can only imagine
how many times your doorbell.
Speaker 8 (08:29):
Has rung today.
Speaker 7 (08:30):
And these guys are coming from all over the place,
and a lot of them, you know, even including out
of state. So I just got I can't stress this enough.
It's just buyer beware out there. There is no licensing
for roofing restoration in the state of Texas. Unfortunately, it's
a sad thing, but it's reality.
Speaker 1 (08:47):
So you just got to.
Speaker 7 (08:48):
Be really careful. My advice is, don't don't file a claim,
don't sign contracts, don't even let somebody on your roof
if you did not call that company out to youhouse yourself.
Speaker 1 (09:02):
That's great advice, Randy, And let's just tell everybody how
to reach you. If somebody's like, you know what I know.
Randy's a good dude. He's friends with Ben and Skin.
We posted your video up on the Eagle Instagram account
as well. You're up on a roof right now. If
somebody wants to have you come out and check their roof,
they know that you'll take care of them. You're not
just gonna immediately file a claim unless they absolutely need it.
(09:22):
So how do they reach you?
Speaker 7 (09:24):
You can call directly into the office. That's two one
four two two seven eighty four eighty eight. That's the
best way to get in touch with us. We've got
our operations team out in all of these major areas
and we'll get to you guys pretty quickly.
Speaker 1 (09:38):
All right, Hey, Randy, thanks for calling in.
Speaker 9 (09:40):
Man.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
Be safe up there, Budda, Absolutely, you guys be good.
All right, there he goes, that made kat purka, buta?
What's butta? I was gonna say brother like. I don't
want to say brother is buta he is buddy like, Butda,
but I'm worried that he's going to fall off a roof.
Speaker 1 (09:58):
You won't ready to get up there? He got up
on mine. He didn't fall Give him a call two
one four two two seven eight four eight eight butta.
All right, it's Submit and Skin Show ninety seven point one,
The Eagle coming up next, the Hollywood Shuffle. All right,
it's sub Bending Skin Show ninety seven point one The Eagle.
And something that's big and is a deal with an
F word is BFD And it's happening May twenty fifth
(10:21):
at Doseki's Pavilion, and we going to be there and
we've been giving away tickets. You gotta listen to win.
I'm gonna give you tickets right now. We got tickets
to BFD, but you have to have the iHeart app.
It's free. We tell people all the time, you have
to have this free iHeart app to do all the
things that we want to do with you, including stream
the show, listen to podcasts. There's a talkback feature, and
(10:41):
right now, the fifth person that uses the talkback feature
and can leave a voice message with their name, their
phone number, their email address, and the answer to the
question where are we doing the show tomorrow? It's a
partnership with Rollertown Beer Works, which is the brewery that
Ben and I are partners in. We're doing a big
shindig tomorrow. Rollertown is going to be there, Ben in
Skin's going to be there. Where is it? Fifth person
(11:03):
that can tell us using that talkback feature is going
to win b FD tickets And everybody's going to be excited.
All right, We have a special guess that ties into
what I was just talking about. To talk something with
us here in about thirty minutes, it's gonna be a
Ranger season preview. Stick around for that, but right now
it's time for this.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Juicings, Hot Gods, every.
Speaker 6 (11:28):
Stay on Top in.
Speaker 9 (11:30):
The che.
Speaker 3 (11:34):
So yesterday or Monday was the twentieth anniversary of the
Office debuting on NBC. So I got the middle of
the Spring type thing, and they got six episodes for
their first season, and the Hollywood Reporter put out this
big article and I think you guys are gonna like this,
and it's just kind of a oral history about how
close things got to them not being around anymore.
Speaker 1 (11:59):
So.
Speaker 3 (12:00):
So the guy that kind of was the head writer
and creator of it is Greg Daniels, and somebody sent
him the British Office and he's like, I'm not gonna
watch it, and then he's like, okay, and he basically
got an email saying, dude, if you're not gonna move
on this, I'm gonna give it to someone else. He's like, fine,
I'll watch it, and he put it on like eleven
at night, ended up watching it all throughout the night, laughing.
Speaker 1 (12:21):
Loved it. The other it's the number two.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
The robin to Greg Daniels Batman is Michael shr Michael
sher is the creator of Parks and Recreation along with
Greig Daniels, but Michael Shurr and he was, he was in.
He worked at SNL and he was in. He was
in the office is Dwight's farm cousin. But Michael sher
was like, I was a big fan of the British Office,
but I thought this was a terrible idea. Bj Novak
(12:46):
was one of the writers too, He is Ryan on
the show, and he was like, the Office was not
a good bet. The British show was really edgy and
bleak and quiet, and at the time, here's what's big
in America. Friends in Seinfeld and just didn't feel like
it was gonna work. But Greg Daniels went to meet
with Ricky Gervais and they hit it off because Ricky
(13:07):
Gervas was a big fan of The Simpsons and Greg
Daniels was a rider on The Simpsons and he had
happened to write one of Ricky Gervais's favorite episode.
Speaker 1 (13:15):
So he's like, you're the guy. You can do it
and not have.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
The Ricky Gervais Ricky Gervais like sentencesm behind it was like, yeah,
he was like very supportive.
Speaker 1 (13:24):
What's kind of cool to see it.
Speaker 3 (13:25):
It sounds like everyone's got really nice Ricky Gervas stories
for as mean as he is and uh, you know
when he's doing stand up, but uh, he's being performative.
Speaker 1 (13:34):
Yeah. Man, the guy Larry David's the same way. Yeah,
really nice. Larry David's not the big jerk every you
know he performs that character.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
Except for the cast of Sesame Street. Not a big
fan of Larry David after what he did to Elmo.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
Oh yeah, Elmo. Almo did deserve to get punched. I
tickle you?
Speaker 3 (13:53):
How about I tickle your nose with my fist. So
the guy most excited about it in America's a guy
named Kevin Riley. Kevin Riley was the president FX and
they're like, perfect, HBO FX, that's our lane. Well, Kevin
Riley got promoted to NBC as this was kind of
like talks were happening here and he was like, no, no,
I still want it. And Greg Daniels and Michael Scherr
(14:16):
are like, nah, NBC were you know friends is That's
not gonna be good.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
This needs to be cable. So they're very worried about it.
Speaker 3 (14:24):
They decided very early on they wanted Steve Carell based
off they knew IF the Daily Show, but then they
watched Bruce Almighty. Yeah, with Jim Carrey and he does
kind of steal the show a little bit, and.
Speaker 1 (14:36):
That's I think where I remember really him jumping out
to me is in that role.
Speaker 3 (14:42):
But then at the time, Steve Carell took a job
on another NBC sitcom called Come to Papa as the
number two.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
The star of Come to Papa is Tom Papa.
Speaker 3 (14:53):
Do you guys remember Tom Papa comedian Louisiana actor this.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
I mean, this went like seven episodes and they canceled it. Yeah,
I think I can visualize it.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
That's when they started talking to Bob Odenkirk and then
they ended up finally because you know development that's kind
of slow on, this finally got the okay, like Come
to Papa is not gonna make it, you can still
go get Steve Carell. So they went and got him,
and then they get the writing team. Greg Daniels hires
his brother in law, his guy named Paul, who is
Toby on the show of the Office. He is one
(15:26):
of the writers too, is his brother in law. Great
kind of a nepo baby. I guess what is it
for If it's like a brother in law, is that
still nepotism? I think it's called a brother in law deal,
so he has a brother in law deal under the
table handshake. Michael Shir said, I was first meeting with
Greg Daniels. He sent a message to his agent, who's
also his manager, and it said, I still don't think
(15:47):
it's a good idea to adapt the Office, and I
don't think it's going to work. But if Greg Daniels
offers me a job, I'm going to take it because
I think he can teach me how to write. And
he said to this day he uses that as advice,
like his agent will like send it to him like, hey,
remember when you thought this was a bad idea, you
should still go do it.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Then they had, you know a big.
Speaker 3 (16:07):
Problem, You've got this, you know the problem with it
making making remaking that show was like, okay, that's not
gonna work. By a lot of people are saying this
is a terrible idea. But NBC had already tried this.
There was a show called Coupling that they were was
remaking a British show and it failed so bad they
thought it was going to be like the successor to Friends.
(16:28):
Because keep in mind and three thousand and four thousand
and five, when all this is going on Friends is
going out the Door and Coupling lasted four episodes. How
much of the British Office have you guys watched? I've
seen like two episodes.
Speaker 1 (16:41):
Yeah, so you know one of the things is that
and what they're talking about with all this, The viewing
sensibilities of the UK public is wildly different than the
sensibilities of the American public, especially when it comes to sitcoms.
Sitcoms is the America and equivalent of comfort food. Yeah,
(17:01):
the British instabilities are not like that, and the Office
is it's it's a lot the British version is a
lot darker and more stark and just more abrasive in
terms of like how people are behaving. And so you
were going to have to change the tone of the
British Office to make it be American. The first is
(17:23):
so the coupling. I just looked up the coupling. It's
it is three guys, three girls, so just like friends, right, yeah,
and it says the naughty new comedy about nothing but sex,
Oh network show. Now.
Speaker 3 (17:41):
Also keep in mind in the UK they have what
is it called the Page two girl, where it's a
topless girl in the newspaper at newspaper. You know that
right now, it's either page ten or page two. It's
a topless gal in the newspaper. It's just different over there.
Speaker 4 (17:55):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (17:56):
Well, so as that was happening with Coupling and that
it goes forward episodes and gets canceled, and the people,
Greg Daniels said, the people were saying they had to
wait like seven or eight episodes before they could write
original scripts.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
Because NBC was like, no, just keep it just like
the one.
Speaker 2 (18:09):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (18:09):
So that's why the pilot episode of the Office, the
American Office is just like the British Office. Yeah, and
I've seen the pilot office of the British Office. It's
almost shot by shot. And Greg Daniels knew because Coupling
had failed and he had got tipped off. In fact,
Mike Sure's wife was writing on Coupling too. It was
his girlfriend at the time. It was like explaining and
they were like, Okay, we gotta go original scripts asap.
(18:34):
So after the pilot they were original and the first
episode was Diversity Day.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
In really episode two, it is so good and it's
like the bar.
Speaker 3 (18:43):
Yeah, and there a couple of clips from Diversity Day
for those that don't.
Speaker 10 (18:47):
Know, is there a term besides Mexican that you prefer
something less offensive?
Speaker 1 (18:54):
Mexican isn't offensive?
Speaker 10 (18:55):
Well, have certain connotations like what like I don't well,
I don't know what connotations Michael, No, no, no something
no Now, remember I'm just curious.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
Honesty, Okay, honesty.
Speaker 1 (19:11):
And then you know the other one that everyone talks about. Okay,
I'm sorry, I'm I'm sorry.
Speaker 7 (19:15):
He's he's ruined.
Speaker 1 (19:17):
He's butchering it.
Speaker 10 (19:17):
Every time, every time black people want to have a
good time.
Speaker 1 (19:22):
So I'm like, I can't mick because I always want
credit for something. What do you want? Cookie?
Speaker 10 (19:33):
How come Chris Rock can do a routine and everybody
finds it hilarious and groundbreaking, and then I go and
do the exact same routine, same comedic timing, and people
final a complaint to corporate? Is it because I'm white
and Chris is black?
Speaker 1 (19:48):
It's so good?
Speaker 11 (19:49):
God.
Speaker 4 (19:51):
What's funny is when this first came out, I remember
my mom and I watching it. I think it was
like season two had just started, but none of my
friends watched it knowing at any I did what I
was talking about, So it was just me and my mom,
like that was our thing for a long time.
Speaker 1 (20:04):
It was a slow burn. The thing that I'll never
forget from that episode is the one where they put
the cards on the forehead. Yeah, and then you have
to guess, you have to describe to the person. And
so someone goes, you're a bad driver, he goes women. Yeah,
it says Asian on his forehead.
Speaker 3 (20:22):
Stanley is like Stanley's was black on his head, and
Pam was Jewish as show Toby said that, he said,
because of Friends in Seinfeld, we thought we were done
after six episodes, because they only did they brought him
on again mid season six episodes and there's a time
get this, This would be huge numbers now at the
time they were averaging five point four million viewers, a
(20:45):
low number at the time. Yeah, and it was NBC
struggling after Friends was gone. The ratings are not very good. God,
that would be awesome now, it's what's incredible?
Speaker 4 (20:56):
Anything else to watch back?
Speaker 3 (20:57):
Then there's a scene that they're shooting one of the
last episodes and they're in the parking lot and they're
just kind of waiting on lights to get set up
or camera or whatever, and Steve Carell they're all out
there and Steve Carell kind of says, well, at least
we got to make six and they kind of give
him like a speech.
Speaker 1 (21:11):
Damn.
Speaker 3 (21:11):
And it made them all feel good and bad at
the same time, and it was like a We're lucky
we got to do this. It's like they all thought
they were getting canceled. So they go into the summer though,
after those six episodes, and what movie comes out, Oh.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
Forty year Old Virgin. Wow, how great is that? It
saved him?
Speaker 3 (21:31):
It absolutely saved That's awesome. So he says like, oh
my god, Steve Carell is a star, all right. And
then they're like, okay, we got to make him likable.
And Greg Daniels goes in and he pitches. He's like,
I've got a kid. Eight key points of ways to
make him more likable. One of them was it shows
them complaining about him but also getting his back at
the Dundees. That was one of the episodes in season two.
(21:53):
And he used this because he was a writer on
King of the Hill, and in season one of King
of the Hill, which I don't I didn't really watch
King of the Hill, but I remember bit of it,
Hank Hill is not likable in season one apparently, and
they had to save him and make him likable moving forwards.
You know, I he learned that lesson and used it
on the office.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
You know how they it's funny now that you mentioned
Hank Kill about it. One way to do it is
to make the guy he's still a jerk, but make
him extra dumb, to show why he's a jerk. He's
a jerk because he's just so dumb.
Speaker 3 (22:23):
But also though he one of the eight reasons was
we have to show how did he get to be
a manager. So there's a couple episodes in season two,
early in season two where Michael is killing it as
a salesperson, like he's doing really well. So they had
to show that too, and I thought that was very interesting.
Speaker 4 (22:41):
They do some surprising things where you're not expecting him
to be smart and do things like why is he
the manager? But like that Chili's episode at the end,
like you're like, Okay, he's an absolute idiot. But at
the end, eventually he ends up closing the deal with
that guy and you're like, oh my god, he's a
genius and likable.
Speaker 1 (22:59):
Oh that's fun.
Speaker 3 (23:01):
Also, iTunes that just started selling TV shows because the
iPod just had a little video on it. Now you
can download it, and The Office was the number one
downloaded show on the iPod and nbcport people are like, oh,
so it's more than ratings, it's that too, and they
were like, oh, we can sell that. Yeah, And that
was like that was the forty year old vision. So
you had a big push and then you got to
(23:22):
twenty twenty COVID hits. It gets on Netflix and it's
the number one stream show in the world.
Speaker 1 (23:26):
Oh incredible. It's just really wild how close they got
to not existing. Well, there you have it. There's a
kt book report in the Hollywood Shuffle coming up. Next,
Let's talk Rangers DFW. Jake Dupree joins us from Rangers Nation.
What are his three keys to it being a successful
season for the Texas Rangers We discussed next. All right,
(23:46):
this segment is brought to you by her Tito Barbecue,
some of the best barbecue you get ever have in
your life. Two locations inside a Global Life Field, So
if you're going to opening Day, be sure to stop
by Hurtado again. Two locations at Global Life Field. And
then if you're just out and about in Arlington, another
free standing location free from the ballpark, one in Mansfield,
one in Fort Worth, and now one in Dallas at
(24:07):
the Farmers Market. Man her Totto barbecue is so amazingly delicious.
We cannot recommend it enough. Some of the best barbecue
you could ever have in your life. Shout out to
Brandon hur Toto and his family. Great recipes, familial recipes
passed down over the ages, good good stuff, her Totto barbecue.
But right now it's time for this, dude. It's good listeners.
(24:30):
Here comes kt fun tweets. We're the rounds.
Speaker 12 (24:38):
Now, let's go around the sports kt fu tweets as
all the sports.
Speaker 1 (24:46):
Yeah all right, kat I will take it from you
because it is time for us to bring on a
very special guest. As we get ready for the Ranger
season opener tomorrow, we're having a huge live remote broadcast
from the Live by Lowe's Hotel that's adjacent to Texas
Live right there at Globe Life Field, the Live by
Low's Hotel, huge Rollertown party that is the brewer we're
(25:07):
invested in. Of course, we're going to have one thirty
three out there, which is our pilsner inspired by section
one thirty three at Globe Liffield, which is a movement
that was created by our guest who joins us now,
the great Jake Dupree from Rangers Nation. How you doing today, Jake?
Speaker 8 (25:24):
What's up? How are you doing? I'm good man.
Speaker 1 (25:27):
We are so stoked, so excited for some Rangers baseball.
Before we get into your Keys to the Ranger season,
we should probably just reset and explain to folks what
section one thirty three is, how did it come about,
and how do you feel about it now? To see
how far it's come.
Speaker 9 (25:43):
So one thirty three is just the place to be
if you're a passionate Rangers fan. We're out there chugging beers,
creating beer snakes. It's like a big college football environment
out there in sexual one thirty three, right.
Speaker 8 (25:55):
Behind the bullpen and right field. And it started because.
Speaker 9 (26:00):
We saw a big group out there one night, I
think it was a fraternity and they were going crazy
building beer snakes, chugging beers, and we're.
Speaker 8 (26:07):
Like, we have to make that happen. We have to
do that more consistently.
Speaker 9 (26:10):
So we combined the following of Rangers Nation and a
fellow Rangers fan on TikTok.
Speaker 8 (26:16):
We put out the word and then it kind of
just grew from there.
Speaker 9 (26:19):
We did a one big gathering and it was pretty awesome.
Speaker 1 (26:23):
Jake, I consider myself a veteran beer drinker. Explain to
me what a beer snake is.
Speaker 9 (26:30):
A beer snake is when you take the cups from
the ball park and after you drink the beer, you
put them all together and you stack them together and
just stretch them across the section. Okay, so we've got
a pretty big beer snake.
Speaker 8 (26:42):
Going out there. I think it was like three or
four yards long.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
That's impressive. I'm going to get all my friends and
create a beer snake in section one thirty three. Now
I want to ask you. I want to make sure
our listeners know this. You know, we're going to be
out there for opening Day tomorrow. We're going to be
at Live by Lows. It's a big roller Town celebration.
We're inviting all Ranger Nation folks come out to that.
But there's a reason that you're not going to be
able to be there, and it's very cool. Tell all
(27:07):
of our listeners what it is that you do with
a good chunk of your time.
Speaker 8 (27:12):
Well, I'm a.
Speaker 9 (27:12):
College baseball player up here in Arkansas. I play at
Harding University. We're a Division two team and we're nationally
ranked top top twenty in the country.
Speaker 8 (27:21):
So I'll be up here. We have a game tomorrow
and I'll.
Speaker 9 (27:25):
Unfortunately won't be able to be at the biggest Rangers
party of the year, but I'll be there in spirit.
Speaker 1 (27:29):
Well, hey, you're doing yeah, but you're at playing college baseball.
You know, so few people in the world get to
do that, so it's an understandable excuse for you not
to be there. Brother.
Speaker 9 (27:40):
Well yeah, y'all, y'all drink some one thirty three from
me and you know done.
Speaker 1 (27:45):
We will, we will. This is Jake Dupree from Ranger
Nation and he's the man behind that entire movement in
section one thirty three. All right, so let's dive into
what are your three keys to the season for the
Texas Rangers.
Speaker 9 (28:00):
Well, first and foremost, the Rangers just have to stay healthy.
We only saw three starts out of Jacob de Grom
last year, and this year he's heading into the season
fully healthy.
Speaker 8 (28:09):
So if Jacob de Grom can stay healthy, the Rangers
are going to be very very, very very good hands.
Speaker 9 (28:16):
Last season, they had the second most games missed on
the injured list among baseball, over ninety seven million dollars
in payroll on the injured.
Speaker 8 (28:24):
List, which was a leading Baseball.
Speaker 9 (28:27):
And then you know, even the guys that were in
the lineup every day, they were a little beat up
from the short and offseason, like Jonah him and then
Adulas Garcia and Marcus Simeon had a collision that kind
of restricted them a bit.
Speaker 8 (28:39):
But if the team can stay healthy, I.
Speaker 9 (28:41):
Really think it's one of the deepest teams in baseball.
Speaker 8 (28:45):
Second point, the bull did.
Speaker 9 (28:47):
It's really that's been a trouble for Rangers the past
couple of years. And you know, the Rangers lost Yage
Robertson would clerk this offseason, but brand new bullpen. Pretty
much besides a couple of guys, it's gonna be closer
by committee until one.
Speaker 8 (29:02):
Of the guys earns the primary job.
Speaker 9 (29:04):
But you know, that's how we did it in twenty
three and it all worked out pretty well.
Speaker 8 (29:08):
And then you know, we.
Speaker 9 (29:10):
Need some of the young guys to step up because
Kumar Rocker and Jack Lyder are going to start the
season in the rotation with Bradford and Gray down and
you know, the little we saw Rocker last year he
looked really good, but he was a little shaking spring tranding.
He had a nine yuara, But you know, the talent's there.
I really think he can figure it out and then lighter.
Speaker 8 (29:29):
Quite the opposite. Last year, not.
Speaker 9 (29:31):
Very good in the big leagues, but he had a
very good camp. So I'm really excited to see that
he does this year. And then you know, just need
a bounce back from some of the guys. We had
regression pretty much across the entire board. Of all the starters.
I think they were just a little beat up.
Speaker 8 (29:45):
From the short and offseason.
Speaker 9 (29:46):
And you know, even Bochie says that, and another thing,
it's a Boche year.
Speaker 8 (29:51):
Bochie he had.
Speaker 9 (29:53):
The history of going to the World Series and then
not making the playoffs the following year and.
Speaker 8 (29:57):
Then you know, doing it again. So he did that
with the John.
Speaker 9 (30:00):
It's you know, it's we're two years removed from championship now.
So I think it's a Boachi year. And there's something
about it every other year for Boach.
Speaker 3 (30:09):
I'm gonna put that on a T shirt. I think
it's a Boachi year. This is our buddy. Jake from
a Ranger Nation Demand behind Section one thirty three becoming
a thing and U We're doing a big collaboration tomorrow
out at Live by Low's Rollertown Beer Works. That's mine,
Bens Brewy, the good folks at Ranger Nation, the folks
at Live by Lows.
Speaker 1 (30:27):
It's going to be a pre party. If you don't
have tickets to the game, you can hang out with
us at Live by Lows. During the game, we'll have
it on the TV, and then a postgame party afterwards.
I do want to get your your thoughts on Lighter.
Wasn't he Was he the Rangers Triple A Pitcher of
the Year last year or something like?
Speaker 3 (30:43):
He was good in the minors but bad in the majors, right, Like,
it's not outrageous to expect him to step in and
actually contribute something in the rotation this year.
Speaker 8 (30:53):
No, no, not at all. I think lighters. Actually, you know,
he's a sleeper. He had a three point four eighty
this spring.
Speaker 9 (31:00):
He wasn't good in the big leagues last year, but
you know, it's just some command stuff. I think he
was a little bit rushed to the big leagues. But yeah,
I think lighters and somebody to keep an eye for.
He canna be a really big part of this rotation.
Speaker 1 (31:13):
Jake Evan Carter is going to start the season in
the minors. What do you make of that?
Speaker 9 (31:19):
You know, he's still twenty two years old, which is
crazy because he's a World Series champion and you know
he's still young. I saw Jared Tandler put out something yesterday.
You know, even if you're making your MLB debut and
at twenty two to twenty three, like, you're still considered young.
He saw a lot of success when he came up early,
but he's still super young. He still have a lot
(31:40):
of time to figure stuff out. He's still extremely talented,
so I'm not worried about him. I think he needs
to figure some stuff out hitting left. He's and the miners,
and you know he'll be back. He'll be back this
season and he'll play a part for the Rangers.
Speaker 1 (31:53):
All right, Jake, this is just going into the year.
In your opinion, what's the biggest strength of the team
and the biggest weakness of the team.
Speaker 9 (32:01):
The biggest strength definitely is the lineup that just up
and down. There's really no breaks. And you think got
a silver slugger and Josh Smith not getting consistent playing time.
He's gonna be a super utility utility. I'm sorry, so
that that's definitely the Rangers' biggest strength. Their lineup is
up there with the best in baseball, and then weakness.
(32:22):
It's gonna be the bullpen. It's just really shaky. It
can go either way. A lot of new faces in there,
and especially no clear closure right now. It's gonna be
a bit, you know, up and down. But you know,
there's some good names in there. I think I think
that they can figure it out like they did in
twenty three.
Speaker 1 (32:42):
All right. And then, uh, who has a bigger impact?
Which new player to the Rangers lineup has a bigger
impact than why? Out of Jock Peterson and Jake Berger.
Speaker 9 (32:52):
Oh, both of them are great bats, But I'm gonna
have to go with Jock just because the vibes that
he brings seen some of the players speak on in
Jock just he kind of brings that clubhouse energy with him.
So I think Jock will be a better ad not
only on the field, but off the field in the
clubhouse as well.
Speaker 1 (33:11):
Well. Man, it is always awesome to talk Rangers baseball
with you. We're super proud of you and what you're
doing on your college baseball team and where most of all,
we're proud that you started this big movement Ranger Nation
and have taken over Section one thirty three at Globe
Live Field. Tell our listeners how to find you and
follow along and be a part of the nation.
Speaker 9 (33:31):
We're on Instagram at Rangers dot Nation or on x
at Rangers Underscore Underscore Nation.
Speaker 1 (33:37):
Awesome, Awesome, Hey Jake, we appreciate the time, brother. We'll
talk to you soon.
Speaker 8 (33:41):
Thanks so much.
Speaker 1 (33:42):
All right, do create from Ranger Nation. Okay, before we
move on, we have to talk about this. There's clearly
nothing to talk about here. However, the rumors are all
over the place, Kati, Why are there rumors that the
Cowboys are trading Dak.
Speaker 3 (33:58):
Yeah, some old fart in Cleveland's doing a show and uh,
he was like, I'm hearing that the Cowboy, Uh, the
Browns are trying to trade for Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
Is that kind of like an older Sean Schariff guy,
You're you're the way you're I wasn't trying to No,
I wasn't trying to do Did you hear that, Ben?
I heard it? Anyone clearly what he was doing. So
you're saying there's an older Sean Charif in Cleveland that's
during this.
Speaker 3 (34:17):
Sean Cherif who you know, he does mornings on the
Cowboys flagship station dominant show.
Speaker 1 (34:22):
I mean, y'all want to hear this guy. I've got
her here. Yeah, this is the old gap. We know Sean,
we know what he sounds like. Here's what he's saying,
get ready for this one.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
Which that's, by the way, you've already just a point
of credibility right there.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
I'm out on this show, all right. Dramatic pause too, got.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
A pretty darn good source. Or is he from Canada
in the Browns organization? No couple, he poinked at the camera.
I heard since our last show, part of the recent
this is why.
Speaker 1 (35:00):
Guys with solo shows.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
Yeah, they have to do dramatic pauseitive full time because
they don't have anyone else that bounce ideas off of.
Speaker 1 (35:05):
That's what I was going to ask, is like, clearly
this is a solo act.
Speaker 5 (35:08):
Ale Scarrett was so willing to sign this extension for contract.
Speaker 1 (35:12):
Yeah, money, money, money, he was money. It was.
Speaker 5 (35:15):
The Browns are negotiating as we speak with the Dallas
Cowboys for a trade for Dak Prescott.
Speaker 1 (35:23):
That just sounds bad. And then his show ended.
Speaker 3 (35:26):
So let's take the money out of it, because it's
highly confusing when I'm ruined both team salary caps even
more than an already, it's it's not possible, and Dak
is a no trade clause. Now there's the one percent
thing that I would say, the one percent thing, and
I tweeted earlier we should not give attention to bad takes,
because this is a bad take. But the one percent
(35:48):
thing is the only way. If Dak somehow was so
unhappy here and didn't think it was possible to win here,
and he said he entertained a trade. Cleveland would be
a trade partner for the cas because Cleveland has the
number two pick in the draft and the Cowboys would
trade up.
Speaker 1 (36:04):
And you know what, No, I wouldn't. It wouldn't.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
I don't even think it would be shaduer. Maybe they
think they can win with a Cooper Rush type.
Speaker 1 (36:12):
You're looking at this the wrong way. You need to
look at it from the Cleveland situation, because the only
way to work themselves out of what's going on with
the Deshaun Watson contract is to go ahead and get
Dak's contract in here and get that on the books.
That's some really smart football thinking. This is a lot
of nonsense. Dude.
Speaker 3 (36:29):
Now the Cowboys and Brown's doing a trade for the
Cowboys to move up to number two. Huh.
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Get Travis Hunter.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
Now we're talking like we can have a little conversation
about that. Okay, what would you have to give up
this year's one, which has picked twelve, this year's two,
which is picked forty four, next year's one, maybe more,
maybe next year's two.
Speaker 1 (36:48):
I'm good man, So three three legit starters for one.
Speaker 3 (36:55):
I mean, if you drafted. But Travis Hunter's monster. Oh
he's so fun, badass.
Speaker 1 (37:01):
Player, but he's so fun. Come on, man, a wide
receiver and a cornerback. And this is what they did
with Rocket. This is value. So yeah, there'sh all right,
all right, nothing to it, but it is being It
is out there all over the place. So if you
see it, just look away immediately. And then Dion is
the head coach next year? Right sure? Coming up next
(37:22):
in the weekly weekday Update, why is the city of
Plano disrespecting their firefighters? Ooh, we'll discuss next.
Speaker 5 (37:29):
Ah.
Speaker 1 (37:30):
Yes, it is the Ben and Skin Show ninety seven
point one. The Eagle Hey, make sure to go to
our website for all the information on the little flyaway
thing we got going on with Lincoln Park new music
dropping tomorrow. It's a big to do. Christina, You're gonna
have some information on that tonight, aren't you.
Speaker 4 (37:49):
Sure will, so we got mas tomorrow. We're gonna be
playing Lincoln Park's new single all day Friday.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
All day Friday, we will be playing it. But if
you want to win the contest, be listening to what
Christina has tonight. Check out the website. We will keep
you guys in the loop on all of that. It
is time for your MAVs Minute, brought to you by
the Sunset at McKinney Amphitheater. Go to Sunset Texas dot
com for information on how to own a firepit sweet
or join the Apeman Club. Mavericks lost last night. No
(38:15):
Anthony Davis or PJ. Washington Junior in the lineup. Your
guy Najy Marshall had thirty eight though. Yeah, but he
had twenty eight in the first half. But hey, they
just didn't have enough firepower second night of a back
to back. They were clearly worn out. They hit fifty
eight percent of their shots in the first half and
then ran out of juice in that third quarter. I've
said it a million times. Most games on the second
(38:39):
out of a back to back, where a team really
comes out flat and hits the wall, it's the start
of the third quarter. It got the MAVs last night,
but Anthony Davis will presumably be back in the lineup
tomorrow night. Christina just mentioned it. Orlando Magic pregame starts
at five thirty, game starts at six. You're going wait
five thirty, you guys are on the air. Yeah, we're
on the air. We're gonna be at Live by Low's
(39:00):
come out hang out with us tomorrow, but we're gonna
be on three to five thirty, but me and Ben
are getting there at noon. We're gonna stick around after
the show because it's opening day. Live by Loses right
by Texas Live right by the ballpark, and we want
to hang out with you all day long. If you
don't have tickets for the game, watch the game with us,
have it on Giant TV. The beer will be flowing.
We'll be hanging out live music for brand new Funk.
(39:21):
It's going to be a blast, So come on out
and see us tomorrow. But right now it's time for this.
Speaker 13 (39:27):
And now it's time for bas week day of Day
featuring veteran news anchor kt fontweets hero the important stories
he's currently tracking from around the world.
Speaker 3 (39:40):
I'd like to start the City of Plano, and I'd
like to take the Plano City officials to task.
Speaker 1 (39:46):
Plano City officials.
Speaker 3 (39:47):
Are declining request from firefighters to adopt a new shift
that's becoming rather popular nationwide for firemen and women. Plano
firefighters currently work the twenty four hour shift with the
forty eight hours off. We've heard this for years. Always
was very interested by the fire fireman shift. It again,
they're on and then they're off, So twenty four hours
(40:08):
on then eight hours off. But what's been taking off
nationwide is the forty eight hours on and then ninety
six hours off. So firemen, firefighters kill firefighters, fire women. Yes,
I thought they were called fire hose. Uh no, that's
actually put the fire out fire out vernacular. But firefighters,
(40:32):
their wives and other supporters spoke to Plano City Council
members Monday night to urge them to consider the schedule change.
Speaker 1 (40:40):
The answer was no, Christina, I mean, if it's.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
Working for the other firemen, why in women? Okay, well
why are they saying no firemen and fire women firefighters?
It was working for all the other firefighters.
Speaker 1 (40:53):
Where the male and female firefighters?
Speaker 4 (40:55):
Yeah, my dad's retired, but the twenty four to forty eight.
Speaker 1 (40:58):
Works also trends and true and gender firefighters yeah, exactly,
and little people firefighters. What huh? We're doing it all right.
I want to get back to the fire hose thing. Okay,
is that something that you hook up to a hydrant?
Speaker 9 (41:19):
Yes?
Speaker 1 (41:20):
Or do they have water on the truck? Both?
Speaker 6 (41:22):
Yep?
Speaker 3 (41:23):
Both, but you've but not a large supply? Yeah, because
that would make the truck slower and could be heavier.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Damn sites they run a lot of red lights.
Speaker 3 (41:33):
Okay, now, yep, the answer was no. And here's my question.
What couldn't the answer have just been maybe, yeah, we'll
look into it.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
At least Plano doesn't get down like that. Dude, You
know what? You know what planose dealers. They're like, Look,
we're pretty much maxed out with our population. There's not
a lot of new development depending on what happens at
Colin Creek. We're good. We don't need you coming in
here telling us what to do.
Speaker 4 (42:00):
They were just the happiest city nationwide.
Speaker 1 (42:02):
Too, Is that right? Yeah? Yeah, they're happy with what's happening.
I remember. Okay, so what is the breakdown now?
Speaker 3 (42:10):
On off twenty four forty eight and they wanted to
be forty eight ninety six?
Speaker 1 (42:15):
Okay, Why does it matter? Because all they do is
they go and they hang out at the firehouse. They
take a nap, they play cards, lift weight, shoot calendars. Yeah,
sometimes they ride up and down that greasy pole.
Speaker 4 (42:26):
I'm sharing how that affects the like a shift B
shift that they got going on to, you.
Speaker 1 (42:32):
Know, speaking all the jargon christ that is your Was
your dad a male firefighter? Was he ever in a
like a calendar fireman? Shirtless? Were wearing the suspenders?
Speaker 4 (42:44):
Not that I'm aware of, so ever want to be
aware of?
Speaker 1 (42:47):
He fought fires and delivered mail? What we huh? What
is a male firefighter? Yeah, he's a he's dome. Yeah okay,
but was it weird him not being home some nights?
Speaker 6 (43:02):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (43:03):
So he would usually work on holidays, so we would
always have like Christmas, we would have on Christmas Eve basically.
Speaker 1 (43:09):
Yeah, a lot of people do that, but but no,
I Dogan.
Speaker 4 (43:14):
He was always working usually when something big would happen,
like I felt like he was working more than he
was at home.
Speaker 1 (43:20):
Yeah, because one on two off too off. Oh yeah,
that's weird. Yeah, he was at home more often.
Speaker 4 (43:27):
Well, you can volunteer to take shifts as well. Oh, okay,
he volunteered.
Speaker 1 (43:32):
He's trying to get out of the house. Yeah, he
was desperately trying to get out of here. I volunteer
for shifts in my bathroom.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Were they trading like half shifts like Pokemon cards?
Speaker 4 (43:43):
Yes, actually you can trade shifts. That's exactly what he did,
like half shifts. I don't know about half because the
whole twenty fourth thing does seem intimidating. But I'll take
twelve off your hands.
Speaker 1 (43:51):
Ear. Doesn't Jesse Holly take a half shift? Yeah, he
said he could take. I have deuce. Was your mom
gone a lot when your dad was gone? Kind of
out gall.
Speaker 4 (44:05):
No, she had a full time job, but she was
home with man.
Speaker 1 (44:08):
When she was gone, he was home. But when she
was home, he was gone.
Speaker 4 (44:12):
No, if he was off and she was at work,
he would be at home.
Speaker 1 (44:16):
Yet. Okay, she was a firefighter too, No, she wasn't.
So who was off? They were? He would get off
to go into work, and she because they didn't. They
were not because of the shift, the one on two
off the schedule. Is that what you were asking, I'm
(44:37):
not jumping in the dog pile. Yeah, it's my parents
and talking about I'm actually going to dinner with them tonight.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
You're joining us for dinner? Oh?
Speaker 1 (44:48):
Are you going?
Speaker 4 (44:49):
I'm going with my mom. Yes, I'm probably listening right now.
Speaker 1 (44:53):
I'm just going with Eugene.
Speaker 3 (44:55):
Okay, we're going. We are House Subs. We're going to
fire House Subs.
Speaker 4 (45:00):
Delicious.
Speaker 1 (45:00):
It is so good. I actually like it. And we're
getting and he's got his own sandwich there called the
Crandall cram down and it's got cranberry on it, kind
of like a Thanksgiving sandwich. Did you like Thanksgiving?
Speaker 3 (45:15):
Dumb him in the conversation with Thanksgiving terrible sandwich concoction?
Speaker 1 (45:29):
Kat, Did you think that anything Skin was saying there
about Christina's parents was out of bout.
Speaker 5 (45:36):

Speaker 3 (45:36):
As an American who supports first responders, you you.
Speaker 1 (45:40):
Don't support firefighters, though you support police officer supporting them.
Speaker 3 (45:43):

because the Howard Ton will constituent.
Speaker 1 (45:51):

What is Christina in her phone? Is weirdo? What is
Christina's name in her phone? It is Shredder. Don't you
have a bunny nickname that they all have in your phone?
Speaker 4 (46:38):
What my mom?
Speaker 1 (46:41):
Yeah, yeah, because you got they got that alert that.
Speaker 4 (46:45):

going with that. What did you mean, Ben? She her
eyes are watering, Christina? Do you like Thanksgiving? Thanksgiving? Thank you? Yep? God,
I miss Eugene and Velma. Well that'll do it for
the news guys. Wait, do you have more? You want
(47:11):
to keep the segment going?
Speaker 4 (47:12):
Well, I want to know why they won't let the
Plano firemen have the same schedule as everyone else.
Speaker 1 (47:17):
But that's up to them. It's okay, we'll do a
follow up next week.
Speaker 3 (47:20):
Okay, Hamerton on, Yeah, like Coreton all right?
Speaker 1 (47:25):
Coming up next, the only segment of the day that

Speaker 2 (49:05):
Oh yeah, screw the Yeah, I've things on this screw

Speaker 6 (49:18):
This snake.
Speaker 2 (49:24):
Yeah, it's screw the true what it just said, It's
scroll Patrol.
Speaker 1 (49:31):
All right. The scroll Patrol is skin segment that we've
been doing where I try to teach everybody how to
use the Internet, because not everyone knows how to scroll
through social media like I do. And a lot of
times when I tell my friends about things that I found,
they won't even click on the links because they don't
want to taint their own algorithms. And the algorithm I
(49:51):
have right now is so perfect for me. It is
serving me up absolute magic. A lot of the times
it's guilf jugs. Sure, a lot of the times it's food.
But sometimes it is bad ass homemade music. And I've
stumbled across many, many incredible performers. And what I like
to do is present you our sweet listener, and then
(50:12):
everybody on our staff some of these songs that I've
stumbled across, and then everybody can decide who the winner is.
Who's your favorite song of the day. You can vote
along at home. Everybody can can vote here. But we
do have a returning champ, and we should probably start
off this scroll Patrol by playing the defending champion. It
is I believe in myself by World Peace Jesus.
Speaker 14 (50:35):
I got a plethora of good files.
Speaker 15 (50:38):
Sec shot come fine with fun, bombs and positivity.
Speaker 2 (50:44):
Go Lore whoa you look what fave zozom Or.
Speaker 1 (50:49):
But this song with the load of the tough is
so much Lodo.
Speaker 2 (50:55):
I got it up in my blood loud.
Speaker 1 (50:59):
Yeah, every day, don't feel it happy, grateful to be
a lot baby. May you have a goal to stop
love loving life? Yay yy my love life.
Speaker 2 (51:12):
Bleep myself ya believe myself?
Speaker 1 (51:17):
Yaa blee. There's your reigning champ. You're depending champ. I
believe in myself by World Peace Jesus. I think you
could take the acapella of that, not do anything to
it and put it on the beat from Bombs over Bagdad,
and it would sound better over that. Yep. Let's get
with our first candidate for today. It's a song called
(51:37):
Do It Anyway by Yoshi two point zero. Is he
(52:05):
in the video? Oh yeah, I think I know what
he looks like without seeing him.
Speaker 4 (52:08):
I like picturing Yoshi from Mario singing that song.
Speaker 1 (52:12):
He looks like the guy in uh what was the
stuntman movie? Again? Hot Rod? He looks like a guy
in hot Rod that throws the flyers and yes and
pumps his hips.
Speaker 3 (52:23):
Okay, I was gonna say he looked like the guy
in Fargo that scheduled the lunch with Mark March.
Speaker 1 (52:30):
Remember him Mark?
Speaker 5 (52:32):
Okay?
Speaker 4 (52:33):
Go for Mark?
Speaker 1 (52:33):
Okay, Okay, do you remember him? Been tasty March? No,
he was very lonely and he hadn't seen Margine since
high school and he asked him meet her for lunch.
Speaker 16 (52:43):
Yes, okay, I can see that. Yeah, I could see that. Yeah,
definitely could be that. Yes, he's very Yes, this guy's
very lonely too. Our next candidate is Hey Girl by
Noah edge.
Speaker 15 (53:01):
Hard You don't even must you pretty?
Speaker 1 (53:20):
With you?
Speaker 2 (53:20):
With me?
Speaker 1 (53:21):
A few drugs and I like the guy. But this
guy's head into bran. No, he's just sick. Had a
few drugs and now we liddy. He did appear to
be sick.
Speaker 5 (53:37):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (53:37):
Does he have other songs that you've heard? Because I
think he's a legitimate artist, not that I'm aware of.
I don't even remember what he looks like. KT Like
I said, he looks sick. Oh no oh No, here's
another one that's called making It out the Hood by
(53:58):
your fave granny Go out here.
Speaker 14 (54:00):
Wantna be dougs till they ask you here, what a slug.
He's on the ground laying the blood. Now he is
snitch riding on the blue. It's all I see is
a pay gas flex. You will have nothing but a
lot of regrets.
Speaker 17 (54:15):
You claim his stacks, but your pocket stand flexing on
the gram trying to fit in they can't taking it
in the rap game, feeling real good out there, being stacked,
making it out the hoods.
Speaker 3 (54:27):
That's actually the same vocal tambo and flow is easy
e yeah. And she's not like ninety year old granny.
She's more like, you know, sixty year old granny makes
it awkward.
Speaker 1 (54:37):
That's why Ben came across this. That's right, that's why
the algorithm show. It's just a grandma from like Capel
or something. She just looks so innocent, and then she
starts busting gags to the lyrics. She's in the parking
lot of shields. At the end of it, does she
go into a muck bong situation? I don't think.
Speaker 3 (54:54):
I don't think so that would be that would be
Ben's ultimate algorithm combination. She eats a lobster, the ship
all and everything, all right, so you've got to Do
It Anyway by Yoshi two point zero, Hey Girl by
Noah Edge, Making It out the Hood by your Fave Granny.
Speaker 1 (55:09):
And here is Stephanie by Tim Wolf.
Speaker 12 (55:13):
I wanna again next to you. I wanna felt.
Speaker 3 (55:30):
Next to you. This is.
Speaker 1 (55:34):
I should do Go Down. That's dope. I like low
five bedroom production with my phone working there.
Speaker 3 (55:47):
Yeah, ain't good away Leader in the Clubhouse for me, dude,
I don't even think it belongs with these other songs.
I think got to put that on the New Indie
Heat List Radar for Spotify on Friday.
Speaker 1 (55:59):
Here's another one that list. This is Till You Find
One by Aftron Prater.
Speaker 4 (56:05):

Speaker 11 (56:14):
Can't you take your mud? And it's really something?
Speaker 1 (56:19):
And you gotta bully means so much fun?
Speaker 6 (56:23):
You all see what I see?
Speaker 2 (56:27):
So you find.
Speaker 4 (56:28):
One playing this on right now?
Speaker 1 (56:31):
Harry Taylor, It just makes me want to die. He's like,
you need a boy that can beade a hook. Take
you mudding? Yeah, he take you mudding? Do it yourself?
Country girl with someone though, man, I bet she's steak

(56:52):

Speaker 3 (57:13):
Du I love what Morrisey has turned into. Yeah. I
got excited on that one because Ryan Fox as a golfer.
You know it's a little long golfrien. I was like,
does he have a side career? Turns out no different.
Speaker 1 (57:25):
Guys, Yeah, okay, good, Yeah, so you've got to do
it anyway, Yoshi two point zero? Hey girl, Noah Edge
making it out the hood your fave Granny Stephanie by
Tim Wolf Till you Find One by Ftron Prayder, When
did You Leave Hell? By Ryan Fox? And here's one

Speaker 4 (57:53):
Of your tiny little brain.
Speaker 11 (57:55):
I know it's kind of copd.
Speaker 4 (57:58):
I have the woman laying for you to mount, but.
Speaker 15 (58:00):
That's not at all.
Speaker 11 (58:02):
And does your British signy didn't inside a salty soil
you hate and duly, but you cannot reach me even
if you tried, and you tried to, you pretendity deep
just where that's easy. So you try to run deep
till you couldn't d D deepen if you tried, and you.
Speaker 1 (58:19):
Tried to sounds like destiny child.
Speaker 3 (58:22):
This one was confusing because she's hot, and I think
she is. She's not the first hot one that I've seen,
all the people you've sent me.
Speaker 1 (58:29):
I think she's mesquite seven eleven hot. I disagree. He's
from Riley to me send me a picture of her. Now.
Clearly she's not real because of R V R E E.
I know, but she her last names are she's her
name's V and her list is like Ralpheo. She's being clever. Yeah,
(58:53):
I agree, she's virtual reality. Kiitkay guys. Here's one called
Spiritual Smash by Abby Feldman. Occasion different levels of hot
than the last one. Okay, wow, yeah right, this is that.
(59:18):
This is that man that sang the sign. Yeah, this
is a base. Yeah, that's edgy, very edgy. She wants
to suck on your generosity. Here's one called Silver Platter
by j B JB Goes.
Speaker 9 (59:34):
No, not kidding, brom My parents didn't know about this
music thing Popp until a few months ago.
Speaker 1 (59:40):
To win three my merch my shirts and my gonna
be kidding me. It's expertise. This guy's amazing like a nightmare,
like a horse in the night. But it's not for me.
The best was last silver Platter by JB. But is
it better than I Believe Myself by World Peace Jesus?
Speaker 4 (01:00:02):
Ooh tough ah, Yeah, I agree. I think it is
Silver Platter by GV. I think it is better than
I Believe in myself.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
What are you going with, Kat? I'm going with I
Believe in myself by World Peace Jesus. I am too.
And why don't we carry it over to the next
time we do scroll patrol and have him have a
championship bout and then we'll move on to the next round.
What do you think I'll never forget the time that
KT got real turned on by VR. He looked her
dead in the eye and he said, the poon is
a bit of a mystery. Oh that's amazing. Christine's gonna
(01:00:31):
stick around and play music, nags right here on the eagle.
Here you going, well, I'm gonna get my sack back, dude,
God bless Jesus.
