Speaker 2 (00:29):
F is how we're starting kicking cratic shows that enough
both apply like a rabbit to then so out creak
it up, beat the habit. Im on, hang out with
my friend blocking on the radio, my mon on, boy's
kin talking on the radio. It's time to to responsive.

(00:55):
Ah baby, here we go kay t to sting up
and boy yeah gosh shah. Hello and welcome everyone. It's
the world famous Ben and Skin show. Today's show. Honest,
we continue to focus all of our efforts and energy
on the Kirk County Flood Relief Fund Community Foundation dot net.

(01:17):
We'll be talking about the flood and the latest news
with all that. We'll get into it later, but we'll
continually be trying to let you guys know about Community
Foundation dot net. That is a place where you can
go make a donation and we know that it'll make
a difference. All right, fun show planned today though all
things consider. We're gonna try to take your mind off
whatever else is out there and stressing you out, and

(01:37):
make the workday fly on by always keeping our mind
on Kirk County along the way. Now things skin is
tracking coming up. We're gonna crank up the wayback machine.
We're gonna revisit fifteen years ago is when Lebron made
his decision. We're gonna get into some of that audio.
We got a Hollywood shuffle. We got great stuff coming
your way. I know I was in the pre show

(01:58):
meeting Ben Rogers, Jeff's and Wade, Kevin k T Turner
and Christina Kree a little baby corn bread ray from
Oatvial Pizza. It's gonna be a great show. But I
do want to say that today is the first time
I've come in to do the show and as long
as I can remember. And I did not drive my car,
and so look we we we endorse prosper Forward and

(02:20):
most of the cars in my family were purchased from
prosper Ford. We have four cars, three of them were
purchased from them. Okay, so but I have one car
that I kind of got, you know, I just kind
of got stuck in a lease with it talking about
the roles that you've been driving around. It's it's it's
a foreign car. And so, man, I do look forward

(02:40):
to the day that Edwin Rivera can switch me into
a nice forward. But for now, it is a it
is an exotic car. It is a foreign car. Right
where is Rolls Royce from and how long have you
been driving? I'm not it's not a Rolls Royce. And
but one time I'll just tell you it's an audi.
Oh my god. So one time I is. So one

(03:01):
time I went in to get an oil change. I
was like, I went to one of those five minute
oil change places. I'm like, okay, that sounds good, like
the six minute ab workout. I'm like, I say, you changes,
let me go get the fastest oil change I can
because I don't have a lot of time for this.

(03:21):
I'm busy counting a bunch of money. And so I
go in to get this oil change and uh, you know,
I wait in line. I pull in. I'm like, they're
like asking. I can see them calling people over to
the front of my car. I'm still in the driver's
seat and they're calling people over and I'm like they're like, hey,
come look at this, and I'm like, wait, what, Like
had they never seen an Audi engine before? And so

(03:41):
they had to take all these things off, and none
of them knew how to change the oil in my car.
And I think Audi probably are Mercedes or whatever. BMW
probably make it very difficult for basic oil change places.

Speaker 1 (03:51):
They do as I drove a terrible beat up BMW
and no even then it was yeah, highly cheap, and man,
that car gave me more problems than any car I've
ever had. Model.

Speaker 2 (04:06):
Yeah, don't you guys think though, that's the reason I
only LEAs now.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
Obviously I don't want to own a car again after
that experience.

Speaker 2 (04:12):
Don't you think car places are doing what Apple does
where they make everything so proprietary to them you don't
go anywhere else Because car places do really well off
their service departments. That's where they really do well.

Speaker 1 (04:26):
It's it's different when it's a foreign car.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
Yeah, I don't know. Like these guys are like, hey, man,
is this a spice ship? And I'm like they were chanting.
And when they finally put it all back together, the
oil chains was supposed to take five minutes took like
an hour and there were still pieces that they hadn't
put back in my car, and I'm like, all right,
so I'm only gonna be able to go to Audi
to get this oil change. So I call and I'm like,
you know, hey, how long does it take to get

(04:48):
an oil change? They're like, well, you're gonnaed to drop
it off for about two and a half hours. I'm like, what, Yeah,
what happened to the five minutes? You're from America? So
I had to go. I had to go drop it off,
and so I got an uber ride over here. And lately,
danger has been on my mind. Mm hmmm, is that unusual?
You said lately, Yeah, permanently, danger is on your mind.

(05:09):
And while I was getting right over here, sweet lady
give me ride in an uber. Yeah, And she's looking
at me through the rear view mirror. And while I'm
in the back seat and we're making eye contact through
her sunglasses in the rear view mirror, I realized there
was a car turning in front of her. Like the
dumb and dumber.

Speaker 1 (05:27):
You know, statistics say you get hit on the way
to the airport.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
She's looking She's not looking ahead of her, She's looking
in the rear view mirror at me. Did you got
did you lick your lips when y'all made ye contact?
Like government, dude, take a bat, don't she? And I'm like, ah,
that's a car turning? But then you're like, do you
ruin the rest of the variety if you overreact to that?
So I didn't. I didn't do anything. And you need
to keep your Uber rating up too, dude. So yeah,

(05:53):
and I do need to. And I asked for the
five stars. I'm like, give me five stars. That's incredible.
So but anyways, so I get here and I'm like,
you know, this isn't the only danger that I've been witnessing.
And yesterday I accidentally got drawn off sides into a
Facebook argument in my neighborhood. Yes, and it was about
people that these kids are driving these electric motor scooters,

(06:14):
these motorcycle things, and they're it's fine, but some of
them are just zipping out into traffic without looking because
they're tiny kids having fun. But those things go fast. Yeah,
video games teach you to hit reset when things get wrong.
And so a dear friend of mine, somebody I loved
I had had a post and I was like entire
So I had something like entitled kids aren't aren't born,

(06:36):
They're made. I'm like, these parents, you know what I mean,
like it' And then one of my favorite people in
the world was like, and they have a friend who
has a scooter, they have a son who has a scooter.
Was like, hey, this is all good points, but also
not all kids. And I was like, you know what,
You're right. So then I had to make a long
post going all kids aren't in this bucket. It's probably
just a few of the kids that are the most.

(06:57):
I'm just saying. I hated saying that because like their child,
I've seen him out riding his scooter. He's safer than
I am. Like, he's a pre like he's being as
safe and courteous as humanly possible. So anyways, give him
an award. I'm like, I don't know. So I saw, dude,
I saw a guy the other day trying these teenagers
trying to cross the toll way in a golf cart.
I don't know where you're going. I don't know where

(07:18):
it's gonna go. All right, I guess dude. All right,
we are off and running. It's the Ben and Skin Show.
We're gonna keep you entertained today. Skin in three minutes.
We're gonna have things. Skin is tracking, We're you gonna
take us. It's gonna be KT versus Christina versus Ben,
and I think Ben's gonna win. Yes, let's go. That's next.
