Speaker 2 (00:26):
Skin Is Track, another edition of things. Skin Is Tracking,
all right, fam.
Speaker 1 (00:33):
I told y'all yesterday that I was going to the
movie screening for one battle after another last night.
Speaker 2 (00:39):
Did you make it?
Speaker 1 (00:40):
I made it? I didn't know. I think I remembered
that it was long. It was a two hour and
forty minute movie. I mean, yeah, it was on. Now
there's what they call it an embargo, so I'm not
allowed to review it or talk about it until tomorrow.
Speaker 2 (00:54):
Are you glad to say how you felt about it? Yeah?
Speaker 1 (00:56):
And I will say a few quick things here. Number One,
we saw on the iMac screen, which is always an
incredible experience. I not be in hyperbolic here. I don't
go to the movies a lot anymore. I can't remember
the last time I left a movie theater and I
was that exhilarated.
Speaker 2 (01:16):
By what I had just seen. Really, it's incredible.
Speaker 1 (01:19):
I mean, I'm so excited about this movie and people
seeing it. It had one of the most unique chase
scenes I have ever seen in a movie, like no, no, no,
I'm just you probably I bet that's out there, like
truly groundbreaking. As I was watching it, I was like,
(01:41):
my god, they have taken this to a new place.
And let me just say, all of the performances are
effing incredible. So if you know, I know a lot
of people don't get out to the movies anymore, this
is one I can tell you unequivocally. And also it's
two hours and forty minute. It felt like it was
(02:01):
an hour and forty minutes.
Speaker 2 (02:02):
Yeah. Nice. I never checked my watch.
Speaker 1 (02:05):
I was never I mean I I and when it
was over, I was like, man, put that right back
into my veins. Man, I'm not one of those people
that want short movies just because if you're going to
spend that money, it's expensive to go to the theater, Like,
you might as well get your money's worth while you're there. Yeah,
and you compare it to these shows that are streamed,
and you know there's twenty episodes or ten episodes of
(02:28):
character development, and it's hard for movies to stand up
against TV shows. And if they can't go long, Yeah, they're.
Speaker 3 (02:36):
Having a pee halfway through a movie because you can't
pause it.
Speaker 2 (02:39):
Right, it is true.
Speaker 1 (02:40):
And a two forty right on the cusp right there,
you're on the cusp off five minutes, intermissions, five minutes.
You pee every two minutes and every two hours and
forty minutes hour pretty.
Speaker 2 (02:50):
Much on the dot anyway.
Speaker 1 (02:51):
Also, also, if you're sitting there cranking bevies, oh, movie diaper, Yeah,
like that movie diaper, just like the astronaut orstaurants use.
You know, you just come in there, smart, sit down,
put up, take your pants off, put on a diaper.
If they're not going to shorten the movies for us,
we're gonna have to do this. Why couldn't they just
sell those in dispensers. Yeah, as you walk in or
(03:13):
maybe maybe as you go into the bathroom.
Speaker 3 (03:15):
They smell get in there and put your movie diaper on.
Speaker 2 (03:22):
Oh my god, I'm gonna be craping.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Oh my god, I forgot to take my movie diaper off.
You pull over, throw it out the window, honey.
Speaker 2 (03:32):
I can't wait to see this new Tarantino flick. Oh no,
I felt it, dude.
Speaker 1 (03:40):
I also I want you guys to go see this
very soon because I want to talk about Sean Penn
in this movie.
Speaker 3 (03:45):
And when does it actually hit theaters?
Speaker 2 (03:48):
I think tomorrow.
Speaker 1 (03:50):
Well, tomorrow is the big premiere that is just sold
out unless you want to sit on the front row.
Speaker 2 (03:54):
Well here and go Italian.
Speaker 1 (03:55):
It's a sold out man, all right, Ted Cruz, Thursday
is when you can go see it.
Speaker 2 (04:00):
But the movie comes out Friday.
Speaker 1 (04:02):
Okay, but you see there there's and they were saying
there's several theaters across the country, well not several, but
like five where they're actually going to show it in
seventy millimeters, which they never.
Speaker 2 (04:10):
Do that Wednesday night here, okay.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
And you know the ratio of an Imax screen, it's
like a big giant square, you know. I so during
this chase scene, I got nauseous and I do not
have My wife had to cover her face because she
gets motion sickness. But I got nauseous, but it was
worth it. I just I can't wait to talk about
(04:34):
it with you guys, So you would recommend IMAX or
would not? I would, I absolutely would. It was an
incredible experience. Okay, Uh yeah, okay, so there's that quickly.
Want to convey a Cooper Flag story I heard earlier today.
By the way, ESPN's doing their top one hundred players
in the NBA. So they unleashed one hundred through fifty one. Okay,
(04:57):
so we don't know who's in the top fifty. How
many Mavericks do you think are in one hundred to
fifty one? Okay, so the back half of the top hundred. Yeah,
if you were to guess, I know where he is.
You know where Cooper Flag is. Tell us two. He
is the fifty second best player in the NBA without
having played a second. He is bracketed by Alex Caruso
(05:18):
and Draymond Green. Okay, he's better in both of those fools.
And they're saying right now at this minute, yeah, it's
kind of hard like they had they had PJ. Washington
at ninety five and Derek Lively the second at seventy three. Okay,
I think each one of those guys is better than
Draymond Green right now to me. I think I think
(05:38):
it's close with PJ, and I think Lively should be.
Speaker 2 (05:41):
But mane, he's been injured the whole time.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
But earlier today there is a little mavishin dig and
Jason Kidd was there and he was talking about dinner
with Cooper Flag before the draft. They all go to dinner.
Cooper Flag is eighteen. Jason Kid has a son that
I think is eighteen. He said, y'all aren't gonna believe
(06:06):
how mature this kid is. I had a two hour
dinner with him and he didn't take his phone out once.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
Yeah, he's different. Wow, think about that. You know what,
Let's go ahead and add him to the mount rushmore
of DFW athlete. I think, so, Bud, how.
Speaker 1 (06:21):
Long do you guys think you can go without looking
at your phone? Fifteen seconds? Yeah, yeah, it's alsome. I
have to work.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
I can't, Yeah, to work with a show or anything. Yeah,
I can't. I've gotten I put my phone in the
other room for a while. That's great, man. I used
to care about getting back to people fast. I don't evenmore.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
No, I wait till the weekend to catch up on
dms and stuff.
Speaker 2 (06:41):
Now I'm like, nah, you guys can wait, oh DM, okay, Christy.
Speaker 3 (06:45):
People can post a story right and then just immediately
turn my phone off and then if people respond to
that story, it's gonna take me a week.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
Sorry, you look so good in that video. How about
a follow? I can't see your feet the time? All
right there? You don't follow me though.
Speaker 1 (07:03):
If you're sliding into Christina's DMS, just know it's gonna
be about a week delay.
Speaker 2 (07:07):
I'll wait for you shall respawn eventually,
