Speaker 1 (00:00):
Ah, yes, you are listening to the world famous Ben
and Skin Show. Ben Rogers, Jeff skin Wade, Kevin k
T Turner, and Christina Kray Little Baby corn Bread Ray
Our guy Evan Zeniga is engineering for us. Today. We
are on the road at the original Roy Hutchins Barbecue
and Trophy Club giving away free Texas Twinkies for a year.
But you gotta get here and get signed up for
it before close of business today. Three people are gonna win.

(00:22):
That's pretty awesome. Tomorrow we're gonna be at the Pluckers
in City View, So if you're in the eight one seven,
make plants to come see us tomorrow. We'd love to
hang out with you. That's gonna be great. But right
now it's time for this cowboy.

Speaker 2 (00:35):
Surprise.

Speaker 3 (00:50):
Did you guys trade for Trey Hendrickson? He's the Bengals
pass rusher. He's not playing tonight. Would we trade for him?

Speaker 1 (00:56):
What do we have to give up? Like a first
and a second?

Speaker 3 (00:59):
You have to give a first?

Speaker 1 (01:00):
Does he have one year left? Well?

Speaker 3 (01:02):
They they signed him to like a one year thing.

Speaker 4 (01:05):
Yeah, why is he up for grabs? Because they can't
sign him as.

Speaker 3 (01:08):
They can't do a long term deal with him, which
is I don't think they ever got a contract done
with him.

Speaker 1 (01:12):
It gets back to do you want to you're already
paying DAX sixty, you're paying CD thirty four, whatever it is.
Do you want to pay another guy forty five forty
eight fifty?

Speaker 3 (01:21):
Did you get him it you can get him thirty five?

Speaker 4 (01:25):
Did you happen to see I mean, it's just Jerry,
We says all the time of Jell happing to see
Jerry's comments about signing George Pickens.

Speaker 1 (01:32):
No, there's this big article today.

Speaker 4 (01:34):
Our buddy Michoda wrote it in The Athletic, talking about
what George Pickens thinks about being here and what Jerry's saying.
And Jerry's like, well, the way things are going, we
just we've opened up the money now, so we're not
afraid to have.

Speaker 1 (01:45):
One of the top two receivers.

Speaker 4 (01:47):
And you know, blah blah blah blah blah.

Speaker 1 (01:51):
They asked him, They asked him, could you see yourself
staying in Dallas? He goes, yeah, be fine with it
or something like that. Whatever I was trying. But but
why would he take a pity less He's on track
to be the best receiver in the league. Now that
may change with Ceedee Lamb coming back now and maybe
goes back to second fiddle. Right, but George Pickens is
gonna get thirty million dollars a year.

Speaker 3 (02:10):
At least His agent also is you know, Michaeh Parson's agent,
and he's not gonna let George take less than what
he could get on the open market. There's e will
enter training camp next year and a Jerry versus David
mulgletta situation.

Speaker 4 (02:22):
Yeah, and there's no way Pickens would take a penny
less either.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
No, I do.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
I also think it's easier to find a number two
wide receiver. It's not easy, but I think it's it's
a it's a little easier to find that than these
kind of impact defensive players that we're talking about, and
one that you just traded away.

Speaker 4 (02:36):
Didn't we not have a number two receiver? Like right
before we traded for Pickens?

Speaker 3 (02:39):
Did we try hard to get one we had? You know, well,
well we'll see if Brandon Cooks had something left. Let's
see if Michael Gallap can come back. Ok dude, we
didn't try. Yeah, Like, just go draft that guy. Okay,
So Sunday is Brian Schottenheimer's first game as the head
coach of the Dallas Cowboys in a three to twenty
five home game.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
Okay, let's yes.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
So in twenty twenty two he was hired as a consultant,
you know, coaching analyst, and basically he was working with
Dan Quinn that even the courter at a time, just
helping game plan for the offense. So he's been here,
he knows what it's like. There have been enough sun
follies from the curtains being open for no reason besides

(03:20):
Jerry doesn't want to shut them.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
He's seen it.

Speaker 3 (03:24):
And he got asked by John Mischioda from the Athletic
and I just wanted you guys to hear this because
I liked about half the answer, and then I slowly
started to dislike it. As it will.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
Be your first three twenty five game. Uh, probably have
to navigate through some sun there. How much you're looking
forward to that?

Speaker 5 (03:42):
Yeah, well, you know, I've been here for a little
while and I've heard about it. You know, Hey, look,
we have we really do. I mean, you know, if
you guys could see the process and plan that we
have in place to figure it out, I mean, we
have satellite imaging. We have pictures of the sun when
it's coming down, and so.

Speaker 1 (03:58):
There's a there's a there's a big.

Speaker 5 (04:00):
Plan in the process. But I think when you look
historically at what's happened, it really hasn't affected.

Speaker 1 (04:05):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (04:06):
You know, many situations and we plan for it, the
opponent's plan for it, but at the end of the day,
it's something that we're aware of. It's very beautiful. It's
majestic almost when the.

Speaker 1 (04:20):
Man you want to hear audio of a guy kissing
his boss's ass.

Speaker 4 (04:25):
That's funny, man, because I did not see the video,
but in my mind, Jerry is whispering in his ear
what I say.

Speaker 1 (04:31):
I mean, it's hard to talk with Jerry's butt cheek
in your mouth.

Speaker 3 (04:34):
It was fine in the beginning, like we have satellite images.

Speaker 1 (04:37):
We have pictures of the sun. Have you ever seen
a sunset?

Speaker 4 (04:42):
I don't find that we have satellite stuff to be comforting,
because let's do something about what the satellites tell us.

Speaker 1 (04:49):
They put up curtains for concerts.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
I mean is three years one years of coaching analyst
who is the offensive coordinator, who is not calling plays.

Speaker 1 (04:56):
You have seen how this has affected these games? That
you should.

Speaker 3 (05:00):
I I've always been on Kellen's side a little bit.
Kellen as well should have done something about it, and
no one can because they don't want to take it
up the chain because they know.

Speaker 1 (05:09):
That would be bad for them.

Speaker 4 (05:10):
But don't you think, I think, of all the crazy
stuff we talk about with Jerry, isn't that the best
example of a band being so stubborn He refused. The
whole world knows it's on display, it's an easy fix,
and he still refuses. It's the best example of no
one can get through to him, and he will not

(05:31):
do anything to do it the right way unless he
can somehow spin it like he did the Jimmy thing,
like he was able to finally spend the Jimmy thing
and as all right, I'm gonna pet Jimmy on the
head now and we're all gonna celebrate it because Troy
begged me and watch me pet Jimmy on the head.
So if he can spin it some way, that's the
only way he'll ever admit fault.

Speaker 3 (05:50):
So Tom Brady's doing the game, and even he has
like been doing interviews and he's talked about it like
it is a problem, like it's being acknowledged by everyone
besides you, besides Jerry, and then shot. He's like, well,
you know it hasn't effected things to but clearly it's
affecting our team more than the other teams. Yeah, it's crazy,
but here we are. I kind of think they're gonna
win someday though.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Hell yeah, dude, I think they're gonna go ten six
and one.

Speaker 1 (06:14):
That's him kissing his boss's ass. But it reminds me
of when we were at the Fan and I was like, yeah,
we want to be in middays. It's better for our schedule,
and uh, that'd be great. Let's switch with Gbag.

Speaker 3 (06:28):
I was full Arthur fist clenched that whole time. I
hated that.

Speaker 4 (06:32):
You know what happened.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
We went to the Eagle. That's right, that's good, all
right's right in everyone's face. All right. I think coming
up next, it's a weekly weekday upday where we're going
to go with that.

Speaker 3 (06:42):
Well, there's been some major recalls that we need to
talk about. I might be dying soon.

Speaker 1 (06:46):
All right, let's get ready to say goodbye to KT
and then come on up here to the original Roy
Hutchins Barbecue. If you'd like to audition for his job.
You can start tomorrow. All right. Before we get to that,
I want to say thank you to our friends that
prosper for take the toll way, the whole way to
put prosper on your roster. And if you're looking for
a great deal on a new Ford, look no further
than prosper Ford. Why buy a Ford anywhere else in

(07:07):
Dallas Fort Worth, then prosper Ford. We're hooking you up
with our guy, Edwin Rivera. He's the GM there.

Speaker 2 (07:13):
You can go.

Speaker 1 (07:13):
Directly to Edwin and say hey, Ben, And Skin said,
I can ask for you now. You got the GM
of the dealership overseeing your deal. And we got a buddy, Armando,
our good friend who hangs all of our artwork. He's
a great dude, Armando Avilia. And he was like he
kind of called us sheepishly and he was like, man,
I was talking to another Ford dealership. I know it's stupid,
and we're like, why how long you been doing that?
He'd been talking to him for three weeks, aggling over

(07:36):
a truck. Couldn't get a deal done, And he goes,
are you serious about prosper Ford? Will the GM Edwin
Rivera really look after my deal, and he did so
we connected him with Edwin Rivera, just like you can
connect with Edwin, and they had one conversation and got
a deal done.

Speaker 4 (07:49):
Did you see this text we just got from Edwin?
He said, come on in and take advantage of the
say farewell to kt deal that we have going on.

Speaker 1 (07:56):
Prosper for it.

Speaker 4 (07:58):
Just go on in there, see Edwin. They got so
many great deals. They got Broncos Explorers expeditions
