Will be giving them away all week long.

Speaker 1 (00:26):
Multiple Hollywood deaths to discuss coming up at the bottom
of the hour. But let's get into the Dallas Cowboys
huge divisional win against the Washington Redskin Commanders forty four
to twenty two.

Speaker 2 (00:42):
They doubled down on them, and what is with you?

Speaker 1 (00:46):
All the offense pretty much healthy, all those guys back
except for the center. But you know they've been getting
good center play regardless with their backup center. But man,
this is an absolute blast to watch offensively. That was
so much fun yesterday.

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Yeah, and it was.

Speaker 3 (01:05):
It was one of the most complete Dallas Cowboys wins
they've had in a long time, and to go back
and look at the schedule over the last couple of
years the time, you know, to find one where they
were just in such command the whole way. You know,
you knew that the offense was going to be able
to do this because this is who they are, this
is what they do. And I heard Brad Sham right

(01:25):
before the game started. He was he was talking about, well,
you know, they're gonna have to stop someone somehow sometime.

Speaker 2 (01:34):
Maybe it's today, like.

Speaker 3 (01:36):
Nobody, nobody really knows what to predict. But at any time,
this defense could give up a forty burger to just
about anybody. But they did well yesterday. They stopped the Commanders.
Now the commanders were wildly shorthanded, but that's okay. You
still got to go out and get stops. But the
offense just looks incredible. And I got to give it

(01:59):
up to Shot like he is an offensive genius. What
they're doing is what's the O line, Coach Clayton Adams.
The stuff they're able to do, Javonte Williams looks awesome.

Speaker 2 (02:10):
You know.

Speaker 3 (02:11):
Obviously, the trade for pickings. It's fun to kick the
cowboys in the nuts. Over All the things they do
poor leak, and there's a lot of them, but they've
hit on some of these things, and I, you know,
I don't I don't know that it was some genius strategy.
Like in other words, Shody is just there and no
one else in the league is coming after him. Not
one other team is going We got even interview that guy,

(02:34):
and the Cowboys gave him the job, and I thought, Okay,
this is just more familiarity. It's just a guy that
is in proximity to the cute, you know, his cubicles
close to the office. Let's give him the gig. But
I'll be damned if he's fun to listen to. He's
a great interview, players love him, and that offense is
best in class. So I gotta give the Cowboys credit

(02:56):
on Shody. I mean, he's great. There really is something too.
He's spent his whole life preparing for this in a
lot of ways and has interviewed for a ton of jobs.
And we've gone over at the ones he didn't get
and the ways that he's bounced around the ones that
he's turned down. He has had big time recent success
in Seattle. Really, the last time Russ Wilson played well

(03:16):
was with him, right, So there's a lot of things
that you know, you just don't see on the outside,
and then when it starts happening and go, well, damn,
I bet he blew their socks off with an interview
because he has been preparing for this. But and I
know that we'll talk about eber Flos and all this
throughout the show. I mean, without going back and breaking

(03:37):
down film. The way that the Cowboys attacked the run defensively,
it very much felt like they were like, you guys
don't have any receivers, We're gonna sell out on the
run and see if you can do anything in the air.
And they couldn't do anything in the air. And then
obviously once their quarterback went down, he felt pretty confident
that it was going to be impossible for Washington to

(03:58):
put a bunch of stuff together.

Speaker 2 (03:59):
After putting it together in the first half.

Speaker 4 (04:01):
Yeah, it's like, might be as easy as they just
played better then last week against Carolina, because they played
pretty good against the Jets. Okay, it gets so it
ran on a little bit, but I think for me,
like let's talk about the offense. In ceedee, Lamb looked
kind of healthy and that was the first time since
Week three in the Bears game where he got hurt.
That we got to see again and kind of remember

(04:23):
what it's like to have Ceedee Lamb and George Pickens
on the field the same time. Also, Ceedee Lamb looked
so healthy. In my head, I was kind of like, Okay,
they held him out last week because they kind of
thought they were going to beat the Panthers, and you
just wonder if they would have won last week, if
he would have played, because he was not showing any like,
he didn't look like.

Speaker 2 (04:42):
A guy who had missed a moth. You know.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
He looked like he was good to go. So I
do wonder if he could have played last week. I mean,
look at I do wonder that they had. He had
the big, like almost seventy five yard touchdown and I
saw shot.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
He said that was a mailbox play. Did y'all hear that?
No points just showed up in the mailbox that reference.

Speaker 3 (05:02):
It's like when there's outgoing mail, you flip up the
red thing on your mailbox. It's like you just run
whatever route you want. Hold your hand up. Oh, that
wasn't a route, he said. He just threw his hand
up and he just ran to where it was open,
but it wasn't the route that was supposed to be run.

Speaker 2 (05:17):
I've never heard that turn, but that's all I had neither.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
But I mean, if Shoty were to go, like, let's
just say that for whatever reason, Shody was able to
go interview with teams this offseason, there would be a
long line of teams that would want Shody. There wasn't
one team that was coming to interview him this offseason.
There wasn't anybody. It was just the Cowboys, and they're right.
And this idea of Javonte Williams. I mean, they identified

(05:42):
him quickly, they went after him, they got him pickings.
You know, people are talking about him being a mal content.
I don't know if you even want that guy in
your locker room. Like, all of these decisions to fix
the offense have been on point. And they've got a
sixty million dollars quarterback and he looks like the MVP
of the league. And your point, Ben, you know, as
we're talking about you, you have to have time to

(06:03):
do all this stuff. And for the most part, their
offensive line was healthy. I'm sure those guys are working
their way back in and there was a couple times
where there was breakdowns, but that's football, right. I feel
pretty good that the line, if those guys stay healthy,
is going to be sufficient to give Dak who is
at that point in his career, or he's just mastered everything.

(06:24):
He knows when to run, he knows when to throw,
and having two weapons.

Speaker 1 (06:28):
And also the part about Pickens, the malcontent, you know,
that sort of stuff you don't know until you're tested.
But I bet Pickens is very much enjoying having an
actual NFL quarterback throw him the ball. I mean Brady
was talking about it. Yeah, they used him one way
his entire career in Pittsburgh. He just ran vertical and
they basically never had a quarterback to throwing the ball.

(06:51):
So this is just sometimes timing works out and you
get the guy at the right time. We'll see what
happens if things go south. But man, that looks like
a guy. To me, that looks like a guy they
need to sign.

Speaker 4 (07:05):
I agree.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
I agree, because if you have sixty million, I mean,
it's going to be expensive. You're gonna have a thirty
five million dollar receiver and a thirty million dollar receiver
and a sixty million dollar quarterback. But you want to
support your MVP, your sixty million dollar man. Wow, I'm
it is. It is a lot of fun to watch
them have the ball on the offensive side, for sure.

(07:26):
I did see a couple shows yesterday, National shows going, Man,
the Cowboys are one guy a way. They need a
game wreck just need a guy who can wreck the
game and dominant edge rusher.

Speaker 1 (07:34):
And I'm like, it's very frustrating. You had it, yeah,
but they got Kenny Clark.

Speaker 2 (07:39):
Now, all right, there you have it.

Speaker 3 (07:42):
We'll continue to talk Cowboys throughout the presentation today. Coming
up next in the Hollywood Shuffle, three notable Hollywood deaths.
Then things skin is tracking. We'll get back into Cowboys
at four o'clock. But right now we're gonna go to
break and then we'll be back
