I did want to jump in here because there's so
many local ties going on with college football. In fact,
tomorrow night, I think there's gonna be a lot of
frustrated college football programs because they're gonna be, not officially
but kind of, they're gonna learn that they're not gonna
make the playoffs.

Texas is being one of them. Texas is really up
in the air.

Texas and Texas A and M the annual tradition, you know,
it's back and night, and Texas gets a big win
over Texas A and M, who had not lost yet.

Texas has three top ten wins, they also have three losses.

Now their head coach goes, it's a disservice to the
sport if you don't let us in the playoffs. We
chose to play Ohio State in Week one, which he's
got a good point, but you also chose to lose
to three and nine Florida. Yeah, so you just kind
of can't have that on your ledger. Now, for me,
this is all highly interesting and maybe for Christina too,
because we went to unt can You went to U

Yeah, North Texas is they won Saturday. They demolished Temple. Yeah,
they destroyed them. Actually watched that game. Yeah, they qualify
for the American Athletic Conference Championship game, which doesn't mean
a lot, but I'll tell you what the American Athletic
Conference is. All of the schools and the bigger conferences
are taking their coaches. So North Texas coach Eric Morris

is now going to be the head coach at Oklahoma State.

He's a man, he's forty, but he's finishing out his
run here at North Texas.
Speaker 3 (02:00):
Tulane, who they play on Friday night, Winter will be
in the College Football playoff Tulane and they play Friday night.
John Sumrall is their coach. He took the Florida job.
Is see pat he's not spelled different too. It's very weird.
I did think that night looked into it.

He's not. He is going to be the Florida head coach.

a freshman, the running back, they might go with them
to Oklahoma State.

the other teams, dude, I think they're probably gonna win

Uh? Texas Tech is in the top five. SMU had
a chance. If SMU would have won on Saturday night
in California, they would be in the ACC Championship game
instead of a five lost duke team.

a chance to get in.

That would have un t SMU in Texas, Tech in Texas,
A and m IS in Texas is like seriously on
the boundary, like no one really knows.

Well, this is so this weekend's conference championship games and
it's kind of not needed anymore. Yeah, there are some
schools who don't need to play a conference championship game,
Texas Tech being one of them.

They really benefit them.

Maybe they can get a bye. So there's a whole
story going on now. And there's a guy that we
don't talk about much on this show, if ever, but
it's interesting for this reason. His name is Lane Kiffin.
His dad used to be the defensive coordinator for the
Cowboys Monte kiffon Rest in Peace. Lane Kiffin is known
to be a bit of a hoe. He will sleep
around and he'll go to this school, and he'll go

to this school, and he'll use this leverage here to
go to this school.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
And he had some public drinking stuff of course, yeah,
which a lot of hoes get drunk.

And so he's the head coach at Ole Miss. Ole
miss is in the college football playoff, well they are
for now. They're in the college football playoff. They're good
after like, there's number seven ring team. They don't have
to play next week.

But he has taken the job at LSU and LSU's administration.
After a day of like waiting on him to give
his three or four days waiting him to give his decision,
he holds a team only meeting. Then he postpones it
a few hours later. All right, Finally he puts out
a pressure release saying that against the player's wishes and

his wishes, he's been asked to leave because he's taken
the LSU job and he can't stay and finish out
this run this year. And any coach who wants to
go with him was told to get on the plane. Wow,
So he's taken the LSU job. LSU is not in
the playoffs. Ole Miss is in the playoffs now without
their coach, And because the athletic director had to go.

We can't let you stay.

You're gonna just keep recruiting the same guys that you
have round and take them to LSU next year.

is not hot take guy. Say what you want about him.
