In this episode, Tudor and Kyle Olson discuss the recent gaffes and embarrassing moments of Joe Biden during his international trips. They highlight Biden's stumbling at the D-Day memorial event, his gaffes and dozing off at the G7 summit, and his wandering off during a photo op with world leaders. They also discuss the possibility of Biden stepping down and the potential replacement of Kamala Harris as president. The conversation then shifts to the topic of Gretchen Whitmer and her potential as a presidential candidate. They criticize Whitmer's record as governor of Michigan, including the decline in Fortune 500 companies, the poor ranking of child well-being, and the negative impact on the economy. They question Whitmer's qualifications and ability to handle international relations. The Tudor Dixon Podcast is part of the Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Podcast Network. Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to the Tutor Dixon Podcast Weekend edition. We are
now five months out from the presidential election, and Joe
Biden is really falling apart before our eyes. But the
worst part is he's falling apart before the eyes of
our allies and our adversaries. So let's just like recap
the last few days. We saw him stumbling around the

(00:21):
D Day Memorial event in France, and then he had
he was back in the States for like a moment,
and I think that we all know he needs this
time to rest and recoup, but maybe it would have
been better for him to like rest at a spa
in Spain or something before they took him all the
way back to the US, because then they sent him
over to Europe again to the G seven summit in Italy,

(00:42):
and that's where things really took a turn. Suddenly we're
seeing all these gaffes. At a certain point, he sounds
like porky pig. He's giving a press conference and he's
like but and it's just embarrassing. He starts to like
lose it in these meetings, right, he's sort of dozing off.
And there's another point where its Zelensky. President Zelenski of

(01:03):
Ukraine kind of walks around the table and you think,
is he trying to make sure he's awake or is
he trying to make sure he's alive, And it gives
kind of those like Brazilian woman at the bank with
the dead man vibes, like dude, I gotta have you
sign this check, so you have to just pretend at
least to be alive.

Speaker 2 (01:21):
It's so bad.

Speaker 1 (01:23):
But the kicker is at the end, which really really
isn't the end. It was the end for him because
he has to leave early, I think because he's just
too tired. But he has this big celebrity event that
he's going to. But at the end of this g
seventh summit, he's like with these world leaders and they're
standing there and they're watching this event where parachute jumpers

(01:43):
are descending from the sky with the flags of our
allied nations and it's meant to be a photo op.
I mean, you've got all the leaders there, they're all
looking up, they're in they're kind of like circled around together,
and then suddenly Joe Biden won off and they all
kind of look at each other like.

Speaker 2 (02:03):
Oh crap, what are we gonna do?

Speaker 1 (02:04):
And this is after they've been with him for several
days now they realize what's happening, and Macrone kind of
looks at the Prime Minister of Italy like, it's up
to You're on duty this time, and you literally watch
her walk to him, grab him and pull him back
for pictures, which then he then puts his sunglasses on

(02:26):
for So we think this is bad, but I think
that a lot of American journalists were still going, oh
this is the cut was really tight. The video doesn't
show everything that's going on. However, they're busted now because
the sun was there. The UK's the sun was there.
They are now talking about the dementia ridden leader of America.

(02:47):
So I want you to listen to this, and then
we're going to bring Kyle Olsen in to kind of
react to what's happening across the globe as people watch
our president make gaff after gaff and wander into the
sunset on his own.

Speaker 2 (02:59):
Here it is.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Also last night awkward moment with President Biden where he
was looking bury dodgery. He was wandering around, he sort
of wandered off and and George Maloney, the Italian Premier,
had to sort of sort of guide him back to
the crowd. It was quite painful viewing. Everyone's putting a
slight brave face on it this morning. We've got some

(03:22):
more for that for the paper tomorrow. But yeah, you
can see from that, but as yourself, it's you know,
this is getting embarrassing now, and you know, you do
really wonder how President Biden is going to be able
to run an election campaign in October and November for
re election and if he won, is that a man
who really thinks going to get through the next four years?

Speaker 4 (03:41):
I mean, you're right, it's absolutely painful to watch, and
that clip's going viral currently on social media. Obviously Donald
Trump and the Republicans really looking to ham it up.
I mean, what was going on? I mean, obviously most
G seven summit's a diplomatic sprints. You expect to see
the President the United States as other world leaders doing,
you know, a flurry of of meetings. Has he even
doing the same thing?

Speaker 3 (04:03):
No, he ducked out at dinner last night. And Brankley Jack,
I've got a really much story for the paper tomorrow
by telling it to never mind the ballots. But my
sources are diplomatic sources. Here people love. It's big to
say it's the worst they've ever seen Joe Biden. Ah,
and he's been he's in a bad way, and he's
losing focus in meetings. Sometimes he's very sharp, sometimes he's

(04:25):
very much not so some worrying developments there and an
exclusive news story it's never mind the ballot.

Speaker 1 (04:32):
So you hear that, Kyle, I want to bring you
in now and react to that. I mean, this is
this is embarrassing, and like I said, the US media
is trying to cover this up and be like it
wasn't that bad. But you put this together with the
porky pig moments with the America America reporters, with all
of the things that he's said over the past few days,

(04:54):
now we are total a total embarrassment.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
Well, and his sources told him that it's never been worse.
And so there's speculation about can he run a campaign,
But I think the bigger question is can he serve
another four years? And if he can't serve another four years,
and if their whole scheme here is to get him
re elected and then he'll resign and you know, whoever

(05:19):
the vice president is will become the president. So really,
I think what Americans need to be thinking about is
they are voting for the who the vice president is,
and do they want Kamala Harris to be the president?

Speaker 1 (05:32):
And you make a really good point there because here
we're listening to this and this guy is like, we're
wondering if he can make it through October and November
for an election, and yet we are voting for a
president for four years. Like they're watching this on the
sidelines over in Europe, like, gosh, what's going to happen
over the next few months.

Speaker 2 (05:50):
This is for the next four years. So yeah, I
think you're right. I think what you know.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
This was something that people criticized Nikki Haley for when
she was running, which she kept saying, you're voting for
Kamala Harris. But in that case, I think you make
that point too. Yeah, we should be saying you're voting
for the vice president. And I think Democrats are so
horrified by who the vice president is because he leaves
the G seven. I think this is funny because he

(06:16):
leaves the G seven. I think it was Kirby that
was being asked these questions like what the heck? You know,
the reporter's like, how does he just leave the g
seven like he doesn't.

Speaker 2 (06:25):
Go to the dinner. Then he leaves early because he's
going to this fundraiser. It's a joke.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Now, this is where we're supposed to be represented by
the President of the United States, and he goes, oh,
we still have the vice president there, We're still represented.

Speaker 2 (06:38):
I think everybody in the press course is like, so wait, wait,
but really, who's there?

Speaker 5 (06:44):
Right? And to see these sorts of these videos, you know,
people sort of laugh and snicker and can't believe that
this is happening. But it's uncomfortable, it's awkward, it's embarrassing.
And to see the looks on those worlds leaders' faces,
it was almost like two parents who are exhausted because
they keep having to chase a child and they look

(07:06):
at each other at say it's your turn now. And
so this is not the way America should be. This
is not the way our leaders should be. And how
are we possibly projecting any sort of confidence or authority
or leadership when we've got a leader supposedly of the

(07:26):
free world is operating like this.

Speaker 2 (07:29):
I think that we have a situation. Honestly, I've been
thinking about this.

Speaker 1 (07:33):
Who wants to run on the Republican side, you get
put in prison, you get humiliated, the media is all
against you. So the Republicans not only have their opponent,
but they have the whole backing of Hollywood in the
media behind the other side to attack them, and so
you end up with people who just don't want to
go into that. On the Democrat side, they have elevated

(07:55):
these unqualified for lack of a better term, morons who
are just activists out there and they've they've become elevated
by the Hollywood producers of the world. I mean, we're
talking a couple days ago about now we've got the
producers of SNL, the producers of Parks and rec and
some other show called Big Mouth, which all the young
people know about. I have no idea what it is,

(08:16):
but they are making these commercials that are going to
go on Instagram, that are going to go on Snapchat,
and these kids are going to watch these commercials and
they're going to paint these people as heroes in these kids' minds,
the Democrats, and I think that's what we've seen in
Michigan with Gretchen Whitmer. Her social media team should get

(08:37):
awards because they've made her look like she knows what
she's doing while the state is crumbling. And I think
it can be very manipulative what is happening on the
Democrat side. And yet Republicans are just kind of sitting
back and going, how silly they're engaging Hollywood. Wait a minute,
the people in Hollywood, they've always taken us to a fantasyland.
That's their job, and now they're taking Democrats in to

(09:00):
this fantasy world and making us believe that they're heroes.

Speaker 5 (09:04):
Well, yes, that's right. And also they're they're propping people
like Gretchen Whitmer up as a potential replacement for Joe Biden.
And you know, there was a there was a piece
in the New York Times this week Brett Stevens. He
is trying to make this case that Gretchen Whitmer should
replace Joe Biden, and it would be good for Biden's

(09:24):
legacy to basically, you know, be replaced. And when I
read pieces like that, it's I suppose it's popular to say, oh,
Gretchen Whitmer should replace Joe Biden. But clearly, people like
Brett Stevens, who claims to be a conservative, has never
come to Michigan he's never talked to people in Michigan,
he's never looked at Gretchen Whitmer's record, and taking a

(09:47):
step back and said to himself, you know, maybe as
a conservative, I should look at her record when it
came to lockdowns, when it came.

Speaker 2 (09:56):
To when it comes to the economy, what's happening in
this right now.

Speaker 1 (10:00):
I Mean, that's the thing that blows my mind is
these people just blindly promote these folks.

Speaker 2 (10:06):
And yet this is the one thing that I've found
with Republicans.

Speaker 1 (10:09):
Republicans are very much like, well, look at the facts,
but they won't look at the facts because she has
been propped up to this level of where people are
now connecting with her on an emotional level that it
becomes everything else becomes irrelevant to them. And I mean,
if you read this piece, I just want to quote
part of what Brett Stevens said, because he says it

(10:30):
all leaves the president with one option that can be
a win for America and ultimately his place in history.
He can still choose not to run, to see the
field to a Democrat who can win, paging Josh Shapiro
or Gretchen Whitmer and do the hard and brave things
it will take to secure to secure security and peace

(10:52):
for the free world. And then he says there's still time,
if only just it would be a courageous, honorable, and
transformative legacy to send this over to Whitmer. Now, I
don't know that much about Shapiro. I can see why
he's doing this. You got Pennsylvanian play, you got Michigan play.
They want that, And I think that they believe that

(11:13):
at a certain point they can say, well, since Whitmer
is going to be the presidential nominee, now we can't
really have two women run together. Sorry, Kamala will send
you over to a cabinet position and try to march
her off and try to sweep.

Speaker 2 (11:27):
That under the rug.

Speaker 1 (11:27):
And like I said, the Democrats tend to vote on emotion.
They're forgiving. They have forgiven crime, they have forgiven the border.
They are forgiving. So when we say, well, they can't
really do this to their own person, and they can't
really ditch Kamala Kamala like this, I think they are
so forgiving that they will ditch her. And I think

(11:48):
at this point, after what we've seen here and potentially
after what we'll see in the June debate, they will
come to the conclusion that they have got to ditch Biden,
and they will say to him, you know, I mean,
it makes sense. It makes sense for him to say,
you know what, it's time for me. I feel like
I've become a little ill. I've got to step down.

(12:08):
And so what Brett steven says makes sense. Let's take
a quick commercial break. We'll continue next on the Tutor
Dixon Podcast. The truth about Whitmer has never come out.
I mean, we certainly didn't expose enough of the truth
about Whitmer when I was running.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
And I think that when you just.

Speaker 1 (12:27):
Watch her, when you watch her even attempt to be
on the world stage or even the national stage, she
is a complete phony. It's script Everything that her social
media team does is scripted for her. You can literally
watch her reading when she gets into a situation where
she has to answer to something, She's no better than
Joe Biden, and I certainly can't imagine her trying to

(12:50):
negotiate her way on the world stage at.

Speaker 2 (12:53):
Something like a G seven.

Speaker 1 (12:54):
I want to play a video for you from over
the weekend when she was talking about Hunter Biden, and
it looks like she's pretending her audio goes out, but
here it is.

Speaker 6 (13:07):
I want to turn to a different, very different trial,
and that is one that is going on in Delaware
with the President's son, Hunter Biden. He is on trial
for obtaining and possessing a firearm while under the influence
of illegal drugs, which was against the law. Republican Lindsay
Graham says that an average American would not have been

(13:29):
properly for there. Yes, Governor, can you hear me? Okay,
it sounds like the governor can't hear me. You know what,
We're going to take a very quick commercial break and
get this fix and we'll be right back. Don't go anywhere.

Speaker 2 (13:45):
I mean, think about that. Do you want the leader
of the free world to use a.

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Baby voice on TV and go, Danna are you there?
It's just unprofound. I've never heard anybody do that when
they're on TV.

Speaker 5 (13:58):
It was very and so my personal opinion just watching
her since I have, I have been, you know, prior
to the pandemic. I watched very intently during the pandemic
when I was writing for Breitbart, and then since then
during the campaign and since then, I just believe I

(14:20):
don't I don't think she has real convictions. I don't
know that she believes. She don't. I don't think it's
in her bones what she believes. And I think if
you don't have that, I think you have to know
how to fake it and how to be a good actor.
And I don't think that she has either one of
those things, and which is why I think she's just

(14:41):
completely disqualified to be on the national stage.

Speaker 1 (14:45):
But I think I want to stop you for a minute,
because you make a good point, because look at when
she does. I want to play when she does answer
this question, because faking it is even trying to fake it.
Here she doesn't have to fake this, but look at
her answer really quick.

Speaker 6 (15:01):
The president's son, Hunter Biden, is on trial for obtaining
and possessing a firearm while under the influence of illegal
drugs that was against the law. Republican Lindsey Graham says
that an average American would not have been prosecuted for this,
suggesting that Hunter Biden's facing charges for political reasons. What

(15:22):
do you think.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
You know?

Speaker 7 (15:25):
I don't know how to weigh in on that, Dana.
I'll just say this, I saw, and I was happy
to see when the president was asked about this. He'll
have confidence in the judicial system. He's not going to
undermine it. And I think, you know, we'll see how
it plays out.

Speaker 1 (15:41):
So I play that video because she had a few
minutes to think about this. Obviously her audio, her audio
goes out I say in quotes, and then she goes off.
They go to commercial, they come back, she requestions her
about that. She's asked the question over again. This is
a former prosecutor. She doesn't know how to answer it.
That's literally what she just heard or say that right.

Speaker 5 (16:06):
She was in the in the Michigan State House, she
was in the Michigan State Senate, she was a prosecutor.
She's now a second term governor. She's got a lot
of experience with the media, but she doesn't She just
doesn't have it, and I just think she is not.
People like Brett Stevens can sit in Washington, DC, or

(16:28):
New York City or London or wherever he is and
he can talk about these things, but he clearly has
never actually watched her and has never actually visited Michigan.
Because I think it's important if someone wants a promotion,
you should look at where they came from. And the
record of where they were. And so here's just a
few things about Gretchen Whitmer's record when she Since she

(16:51):
has become governor of Michigan in twenty nineteen, the number
of Fortune five hundred companies in the state of Michigan
has dropped from thirty to sixteen. And they didn't go
to other countries. They went to other states. And why.
One of the reasons is because employees want good schools
for their kids. Michigan's ranking of child wellbeing has fallen

(17:15):
to thirty fourth. Eighteen percent of Michigan kids live in poverty.
The Democrat about I want.

Speaker 1 (17:23):
To stop you for a minute again, because if you
think about this, you're talking about losing these companies. We
went from thirty, which I think if you look at
just the city of Dallas, I think you have like
two hundred. Okay, so we're talking about the entire state
of Michigan thirty Fortune five hundred companies. It goes to
sixteen under Gretchen Witmer's rule. And I say that because

(17:46):
you have to understand there's not there's more factors that
go into this. But our education system has taken a
massive dive. It has had the biggest increase in funding
since Gretchen Whitmer took office and the biggest dive in results.
So how can you continue to put money into something
and praise yourself, which she does regularly praises herself. Look
at how much money I've spent on education, and yet

(18:07):
it has taken the worst dive in history in the
state of Michigan. At the same time, energy costs have risen, risen, risen, risen,
and we just got another increase in our energy costs
just within the last month, and businesses say forget it.
We also as we see this increase in energy costs
from Gretchen Whitmer, we've seen her say she's going to
take more and more energy energy companies off the grid.

(18:30):
So we're going to go to one hundred percent renewable
energy by twenty thirty five. It is unreasonable, and every
news article has had in the small print they will
have blackouts like California and in manufacturing world, you cannot
deal with blackouts. Blackouts are losing hundreds of thousands of dollars,
sometimes an hour, and we're talking about blackouts for days

(18:52):
at a time.

Speaker 2 (18:53):
This is Gretchen Whitmer's Michigan.

Speaker 1 (18:55):
Can you imagine Gretchen Whitmer's America exactly.

Speaker 5 (18:59):
And then there was a report this week that the
nursing home deaths related to COVID because of her nursing
home policy, which was the same in California, which was
the same in New York, that actually that number could
actually be double what has been reported. An additional eight
thousand people could have died because of her nursing home policy.

(19:23):
And so it would be really wise for people like
Brett Stevens to instead of sitting wherever they're sitting and
type up these columns, maybe he should actually come to
Michigan and talk to people, talk to business owners, talk
to families whose kids were locked out of schools for
some of the longest periods during in the country during

(19:45):
the pandemic. Many kids still have not caught up. He
should come to Michigan and talk to people about Gretchen
Whitmer's policies, and maybe he would think twice about floating
her name as a potential president.

Speaker 1 (19:58):
And the state is just on the edge. I mean,
this is a governor who ran on fixing the damn roads.
That's her favorite thing is to go out there and
put a curse word and every slogan she has. She
ran on fixing the roads, and now we know that
Michigan's roads are certifiably worse since Gretchen Witmer took office.
The one promise that she had, she has not delivered
on the amount of restaurants that closed during her pandemic shutdown.

(20:21):
We had over three thousand. It continues to happen across
the state. Our towns and our communities have been decimated.
I mean, even in our town, we've lost a massive
amount of stores. We've lost a massive amount of mom
and pop restaurants because there's just not the money anymore.

Speaker 2 (20:37):
There's not the jobs. There's no jobs left in Michigan.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
She's lost tens of thousands of jobs, and she hasn't
been honest about it. She tried to lie about that
during the campaign that she had brought in tens of
thousands of automotive jobs, when she had actually lost over
thirty thousand automotive jobs. And she continues to give our
taxpayer money to these companies and then when they pull
the jobs, there's no repercussions for them. I mean, if
you actually analyzed Gretchen Whitmer as a leader, you would

(21:02):
be horrified. In fact, she would any company would have
fired her and made sure she never works again because
of her record.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
She is a terrible leader.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
I would love to see her on the debate stage
for something like this, because she flubbed the debate so
badly in the state of Michigan. She couldn't even talk
positively about her own record or defend her record.

Speaker 2 (21:25):
I can't imagine her trying.

Speaker 1 (21:27):
To talk about how she would secure the border, how
she would work with adversaries.

Speaker 2 (21:31):
And allies, because she hasn't.

Speaker 1 (21:33):
She's gone on multiple overseas trips, claiming that she's going
on these trips to bring businesses back to the United States.

Speaker 2 (21:39):
She's accomplished none of that.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
I think these are taxpayer funded trips so that she
can say I've had international travel experience and i can
run for president.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
But she really has none of that.

Speaker 1 (21:49):
I'm gonna have to cut it off there because this
is our quick weekend update, but I'll just give you
the last few seconds to say your piece on what
you think should happen in this election.

Speaker 5 (22:00):
Well, it's going to be interesting over the next several
weeks to see what happens. Obviously, Biden has the debate
with Trump prior to their convention, and we'll see if
how that goes. I mean, judging by the clips that
you played and others that are circulating on Twitter, it's
probably not going to end well for Biden. And so

(22:21):
the Democratic Party, I think, is sort of at a crossroads.
And if people like Brett Stevens thinks that Gretchen Whitmer
is a solution, come to Michigan, see how people are here,
and maybe, if you're not totally blinded by partisanship, maybe
you'll think twice about having Gretchen Whitmer be on the
national stage.

Speaker 1 (22:43):
I mean, it would be an interesting thing to watch,
for sure, because I do think that it would expose who.

Speaker 2 (22:47):
She really is.

Speaker 1 (22:48):
However, as I said at the beginning of this, Democrats
vote differently than Republicans. There's not rational thinking there. It's
not a cause and effect. It's very emotion based, and
they're good at stirring up emotion. The same people that
make you believe that Thanos is real can make you
believe that Gretchen Witmer is actually successful.

Speaker 2 (23:06):
We'll see what happens.

Speaker 1 (23:08):
We'll keep you posted, and I want to thank you
