Speaker 1 (00:00):
I don't know about you guys at home, but I
am exhausted. It feels like we have just been through
a battle as a country, a fighting for our nation back.
I don't know how President Trump does it. I don't
know how he has so much energy. He never tires.
His stamina is so impressive. Because I am thirty nine
and I am exhausted. I don't know about you guys
at home, but even in this exhaustion, I feel the
(00:23):
most hope for the country I have felt in a
very long time. I'm not going to lie I was
losing hope for the future, or I was feeling like
we're never going to turn this nation around. That you know,
the bad guys have taken over. Common sense was dead,
the American spirit was dead. That people don't care about
freedom and liberty anymore. You know, we've had a lot
of those conversations on this show as well. I mean,
it was reflective of what was going on in this country.
(00:45):
But the good news is we're not alone in or
love for country and wanting to put America first and
wanting to make America great again.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
The rest of the country agrees.
Speaker 1 (00:54):
And it turns out, despite what we've been called you know, nazi,
is fascist, garbage, irredeemable, deplorable, all these terrible things, that
we're actually the majority of the country, These people who
name called and called us all these terrible things, that
they're the minority. That the mainstream media is actually the minority.
That Hollywood's actually the minority, That all these companies pushing
(01:15):
DEI and all these terrible things down our throat, that
they're the minority. The beauty of this election is not
only do I believe there's going to be this restoring
of the American spirit and patriotism, but hopefully restoring of
common sense as well. And Donald Trump hasn't even taken
off as yet, and we've already seen movement. We've already
seen Steve Madden, you know, three billion dollar shoe company,
announced that they are going to halt some of their
(01:37):
Chinese production to try to avoid Trump's tariffs. We've seen
Putin now saying he's willing to talk. We've seen amass
calling for an end of the war. They Iran Backhoth.
He is now announcing a ceasefire. You've got Eric Adams
saying that he's going to cut back on some of
the handouts to illegal aliens in New York City. So
Donald Trump hasn't even taken office and we've already seen
(01:57):
movement in a positive direction. Doesn't mean for the next
four years of Donald Trump's presidency. If we're already seeing,
you know, the ducks fall in line, we're already seeing
things move in this positive direction, it can only mean
amazing things for the country during Donald Trump's presidency.
Speaker 2 (02:12):
The beauty of all.
Speaker 1 (02:13):
That is, I actually think he's going to get so
much more done than even he would have been able
to in twenty twenty. So I bet the Democrats are
kicking themselves for denying him that victory. Because what he
has now is a national mandate. He's got the popular vote,
the electoral College, he'll likely have he'll have the House,
he'll have the Senate all behind him. He'll have some
of the smartest minds who have turned around because they
(02:35):
saw what they the Left was trying to do to
Donald Trump. They saw Donald Trump take a bullet to
the head and stand up and he'll fight, fight, fight.
And because of that, he's got people like Elon Musk
behind him. He's got people like Bill Ackman, He's got
all of these incredibly smart minds now behind him. So
Donald Trump will be heading into his presidency in these
four years with a mandate behind him, with some of
(02:57):
the smartest people behind him, and just a recognition that
he's been right this entire time. And so Americans will
finally be put first after being put lest over these
past four years. And so what I want to talk
about today is talk to someone who's really been with
Donald Trump since day one, since he walked down the
Golden Escalator, who's also just had a ton of experience
working in politics and also in the media, and so
(03:21):
has the historical perspective to talk about what we're seeing now,
what it means compared to you know, past presidencies and
past historical moments, but also what it means for the
future and what we should expect from this next Trump administration.
So we're going to talk to my friend Monica Crowley.
She's a brilliant woman and even better person. I adore her,
I love her. She's got the Monica Crowley Podcast. I've
(03:44):
worked with her when she was at Fox News. She's
also served as a former Assistant Secretary of the Treasury
for Donald Trump. She's worked with Richard Nixon, She's just
a brilliant woman. So I can't wait to hear her
perspective on this past election and what it means for
the future, because America is going to be great again.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Monica Crowley, your friend.
Speaker 1 (04:10):
Just an incredibly smart woman and just an amazing woman.
Speaker 2 (04:14):
So I'm so glad to have you on the show.
Speaker 1 (04:15):
But you've also been I mean, you've been with Trump
since you know, twenty fifteen. You know, we walked down
the Golden escalator, you know, day one, and all of
this I bet you know, obviously relief for basically the
country being saved, but also probably you know, feeling of
vindication that you know, your instincts and your gut that
you were right in all of this.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Well, thank you so much, Lisa. It's so good to
be here with you and to share this massive victory
for all of us and for America and really for
the West. So good to share it with good friends
like you. So thank you so much for having me. Yeah,
you know Trump, I will say trump og I was there,
you know, standing by his side from June sixteenth, twenty fifteen,
(04:56):
when he came down that Golden escalator. I just and
people to this day, Lisa will say how did you know?
How did you know in June of twenty fifteen that
he was going to be it, that he's the one.
And all I can say to that, Lisa, is that
at the time, I thought the country was radically different
for the worst after eight long years of Obama Biden.
(05:20):
I felt like the Republican Party was different, and I
felt like the country was different. And when we saw
this man come down the escalator and start spouting truths
about the state of the country, about the fact that
we've been lied to by the UNI Party in Washington,
d c. By the imperial media in Washington and around
(05:44):
the country, by so many different forces that had full
control over the country the system. He started telling the
truth about all of that, and the scales fell from
my eyes, and I think from a lot of people's eyes,
because he was telling us the truth, even when the
truth was brutal. And I recognized that Donald Trump was
(06:07):
the disruptor that America needed. And I just felt like
everything he was saying was certainly resonating with me, and
I couldn't be the only one. You'll probably recall said
that in that first speech that he made when he
announced for president, he said he was talking about illegal
immigration and a porous border, and he said, look, they're
(06:30):
sending rapists and murderers, and they're not sending their best
some might assume are good people, but we have this
problem coming in. And he got absolutely clobbered the press,
establishment Republicans, they all jumped all over him. That was
the moment I said, wait a minute, he is actually
standing up for the forgotten men and women of this
(06:52):
country who have had their families, their livelihoods, their communities,
and their country decimated by horses in Washington and abroad
who not only don't care about them, but are actively
trying to destroy them. And here is one man standing
up and giving voice to them. So I have been
with him ever since, in all kinds of capacities on
(07:15):
the media in the first Trump administration, and I've never
been more proud to stand with him than on election
night this past week, where we saw him win and
accept that win. It's been such a journey for the
country and for people like you and me, Lisa, who
support the man. It has been a very emotional time
(07:37):
for me. But I am absolutely thrilled for what comes next,
because we're going to take our country back and we're
going to have a hell of a lot of fun
doing it.
Speaker 2 (07:46):
Well, what's wild, Monica, is it?
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Really there's this feeling of like the country's been saved
this week, and it's like it's crazy that it had
to get to this point, you know, of everything that
you know, Obama or everything that bite and I guess
probably Obama via extension by Biden, but you know, Biden
and Kamalaharas have done to the country over the past
four years, and also just sort of like this feeling
(08:10):
of you know, just you know, I guess one good
thing about this election is we found out that, despite
you know, what some of our institutions have told us,
like the media and Hollywood and you know, some of
these companies and what.
Speaker 2 (08:22):
Have you, that we're actually the majority, you know.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
And there was this feeling for a while that we're
part of the minority in this country, and oh my god,
how do our fellow Americans you know, don't love this
country as much? Or you know, common sense is dead
and sort of all these like sentiments, and in reality,
what we found out from this election, which is such
a good feeling.
Speaker 2 (08:40):
Is like we're actually part of the majority, you.
Speaker 1 (08:41):
Know, and like these people the biggest megaphones, whether it
be Hollywood or media or whatever, like, they're the minority, right, Like,
so ironically, you know, these entities that are supposed to
represent you know what the rest of America feels are
are the minority and we're the majority.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Yes, And I just you know my and you know this, Lisa.
My very first job out of college in the mid
nineteen nineties was with former President Richard Nixon. So I've
now been blessed to have worked with two quintessential disruptors.
Richard Nixon was America First before there was America first.
And I worked with Nixon in the last years of
(09:16):
his life, and he and I talked about this many times.
He gave voice to that by calling us the great
Silent majority. And now that majority has stayed intact all
these fifty years. We are a center right nation. But
now the difference here, Lisa, is now we're known as
(09:37):
America First. But it's all the same people, just regular
hardworking Americans who over the last fifty years have really
become the forgotten men and women in this country, hardworking,
tax paying Americans who have seen their leadership on both
sides of the aisle Lie to them and sell them out,
(09:58):
and their lives have gotten so much, dramatically worse as
a result of their leadership professing to represent them but
really just seeking to enrich and empower themselves. And finally
you had, you know, you had a couple of disruptors.
You had John F. Kennedy, you had Richard Nixon, you
had Ronald Reagan, and the deep state targeted them above
(10:22):
all else. They all faced assassination attempts. Richard Nixon with Watergate,
Ronald Reagan had an assassination attempt in the first what
two or three months when he entered office. When the
system realizes they cannot control the leader, they've got to
try to destroy the leader. This is what makes Donald
Trump so exceptional is that he fought back. He has
(10:45):
now learned what the system is all about. So he's
a lot wiser now, not smarter, He's always been brilliant,
but wiser about the ways of the system and how
this all works. So he is going to be able
now to go in there, smash the system which is
so corrupt and evil, restore power back to the American
(11:05):
people as the founders intended. And the results is going
to be exactly what he delivered in the first term
only on steroids, a booming economy, an enforced border, law
and order, and peace your strength. Frankly, Lisa, I don't
know what more people expect or want from an American president.
He literally delivers everything you hire a chief executive for.
Speaker 1 (11:28):
Well.
Speaker 2 (11:28):
I don't understand how.
Speaker 1 (11:31):
I mean, it's almost like he's not even human, Like
I don't understand how anyone can withstand what they.
Speaker 2 (11:37):
Put him through.
Speaker 1 (11:37):
I mean, I thought, for sure at the beginning of
all this, I thought they were going to put him
in jail, and I was worried that because he's you know,
term momented obviously, that he wouldn't be able to get
enough done in the four years.
Speaker 2 (11:48):
And now it's like.
Speaker 1 (11:49):
It's almost like, you know, I mean, I hate saying this,
but it's almost like it's a good thing that they
sort of denied him victory in twenty twenty, because now
I think because of that and then all these terrible
and evil things that they have done to him, now
he has like the support of the country behind him.
You know, he's won the popular vote, he has swept
the electoral College, and now he has you know, some
(12:12):
of the smartest minds in the world, like people like
Elon Musk backing him, who probably wouldn't have backed him
in twenty twenty, who are with them now because they've
seen what this man has been through. They saw him
take a bullet, stand up, y'all, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight, fight,
and then go and address a crowd at the RNC
when most people would be like cowering in the corner,
right Like, I mean, I don't know how I would
handle an attempt at assassination. So it's almost like because
(12:35):
they denied him victory in twenty twenty and have done
so so viciously, it's like now he is walking in
to this last four years with the ability to, you know,
hopefully get so much more done than he probably would
have even been able to get done in twenty twenty.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
So it's almost like.
Speaker 1 (12:53):
You know, like the jokes on them, you know, like
you really screwed yourselves.
Speaker 3 (12:58):
Exactly right. Look, they have thrown the kitchen sink at
this man for nine and a half years since the
moment he came down that escalator, and they began to
take him seriously because they started to see him begin
getting traction with the American people. They realized they wouldn't
be able to control him. So they have literally tried
to undermine, destroy, and frankly kill him for almost a
(13:21):
decade now, and they cannot believe that not only is
he still standing, but he's thriving and he's the incoming
president of the United States. Again, they cannot believe it.
So again, you know, the first time around, we didn't well,
let's go back. We didn't before Donald Trump, Lisa, we
didn't know what we didn't know, right, Like we would
(13:42):
happily vote for George W. Bush and Met Rodney and
John McCain and those were.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Really knew how corrupt everything was. I didn't, Like, I
still was sort of like in like you know, like,
oh the government is when all they're not so bad?
You know, Like it's like, I mean, like obviously we
thought Obama and we saw them target you know, the Irs,
target that party, so we started realizing, you know, the
corruption there. But you know, I think Trump really sort
of exposed just how bad it is. And then we
(14:08):
saw what they did to Kavanaugh, and then we saw
COVID and it's like, you know, I think there's sort
of been like a radicalization of Americans, of realizing like,
oh okay, our government is not with us, which is
what Trump's been telling us.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
You know, it's been a real revelation. It's like the
scales have fallen from everybody's eyes because we've had this fearless,
strong warrior in Donald Trump who has stood up to
it and fought back and exposed it all in the process.
And that's why I think you're exactly right. I mean,
(14:40):
we sort of know, like they would put up a
bunch of Republican candidates and we'd be like, oh okay,
John McCain yay, Mitt Romney, yay. But they were all
part of the establishment and part of the system. And
I don't know whether they were controlled by the system
or not, this conversation for another day. But we were
(15:01):
given like a very controlled choice because they were meant
to be controlled opposition. Donald Trump comes out of nowhere
and they were like, holy crap, we can't control this guy.
And now he's got the people with him. So the
other candidates all had the system, like Kamala Harris had
the system with her, but Donald Trump had the people
(15:24):
with him. And when the people are educated, when they
understand it, when they see what's actually going on and
how it really is at basis spiritual battle. You know, yes,
we've got to go in and clean out the government
like this the stables of old, but this really is
I think more and more people now see the hand
of God on President Trump on this country, dodging the
(15:48):
assassination attempts. He saved for a reason, and the reason
is to bring this country back, because this country was
built on Judeo Christian principles. So I feel like, and
I think a lot of people feel this way, God
is giving America one last shot. I had to get
it right. And I also kind of feel like God
allows people and countries to kind of hit rock bottom
(16:09):
so that they come back to Him. And I really
think we need a political revival, We need an economic revival,
and President Trump is going to do all of that,
a cultural revival, but we also need a spiritual one.
And maybe God allowed all of this to happen to
bring America back to him, but also to do some
work in President Trump too, because now he's more openly
(16:31):
talking about his faith. And I think that is all
to the good.
Speaker 2 (16:35):
We've got more with Monica.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
But first, last week, Americans voted and one of the
most consequential elections in our history. With all that is happening,
we know that the support of Americans like you means
so much to the people of Israel.
Speaker 2 (16:47):
Especially now.
Speaker 1 (16:48):
This past year, not only have we seen the war
rage on in the Holy Land, but we've also seen
an alarming rise in anti Semitism. That is why I'm
a proud partner of the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews.
They have been building bridges between Christians and Jewish for
over forty years, and since that time have been on
the ground helping the vulnerable and providing security for Jews
in Israel.
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Thank you for your support during this critical time.
Speaker 1 (17:12):
Your gift helps the Fellowship provide food and necessities and
security to those most in need.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
Standing with the.
Speaker 1 (17:18):
Israel and the Jewish people has never meant so much.
Go to support IFDJ dot org to learn more and
make a gift now that support IFDJ dot org or
call to give at eight eight eight four eight eight
IFCJ that's eight eight eight four eight eight or three
eight two five Well Monticga, I'm so glad you said.
(17:40):
I don't know if you saw this video that I
posted to Twitter. I'll send it to you if you've
not seen it, But I was leaving the convention center
and all of a sudden, I start hearing people saying
like Christian hymns and they started saying how great they
are and that art, and uh.
Speaker 2 (17:58):
It was like the most beautiful thing.
Speaker 1 (17:59):
And I was like, say there, and I started recording it.
And what was so beautiful about it is like you're
looking around. You're clearly seeing people of like all walks
of life, every background, you know, all different races, all
just joining together and song, like celebrating Jesus Christ and
also just celebrating this like incredible victory for America, you know.
And it was like one of the most beautiful things.
(18:19):
And then I started thinking through.
Speaker 2 (18:21):
The rest of it.
Speaker 1 (18:21):
And as you mentioned, you know, God's hand on this election.
You look at just a slight tilt of the head,
you know, it kept Donald Trump from being assassinated. And
then you know, you remember that poll with the flag
that was wrapped around the pole and everyone was saying
it looked like an angel before before Donald Trump was shot.
And I just you know, kind of like collectively with
all of that, I just sort of I shared it
(18:42):
with everyone, you know, my Twitter and social media, because
I just like I was just kind of overcome with
this feeling of like God really has intervened in this election,
and like, you know, we you know, we better make
we better do something with these next four years if
if he's done that for us. So but yeah, you know,
when you're mentioning that, I was just thinking about all that,
and I totally agree with you that there is a
divine intervention in this election and he's not done with us,
(19:04):
which is great news because there's a lot I don't
want to do.
Speaker 2 (19:06):
With my life I do. What else feels that that
way too.
Speaker 3 (19:11):
Well, you know when you look at it, Lisa, like
human liberty is the gift from God. And if the
United States ever were to truly fall, and we were
well on our way because the communists, the globalists, they've
been chipping away at America for decades, almost a century now,
so we were very close to truly falling. If the
(19:31):
United States were to completely collapse like that, human freedom
would collapse because the West would collapse, and then there's
no hope for anybody around the world. So I really
do believe there was some divine intervention here. I don't
think God is done with Donald Trump yet, and I
don't think he's done with any of us, certainly not
done with America yet. And that is such a blessing
(19:53):
and it gives me such a huge motivation to try
to help President Trump. However, I can restore America back
to its foundational principles, restore power back to the American
people where it belongs, and to smash the permanent administrative state.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
You know, it's so cool, Monica, I was reading about
because I also feel like this election, as you mentioned,
a revival of all things that you know, make America
great or make America great again, imagine, you know, so
it's simple, but Americans first, and make America greade again.
Yet uh, you know, but you have the people that
support that were called the you know, really really terrible things,
(20:31):
which you know, as you mentioned, they're just people who
support Trump, just good people who love this country. And
I really do believe this election I felt this way.
It's about patriotism. You know, I think Americans have been
yearning to want to be proud for their country, you know,
love for country that you know that we want more
Americans to revere the American flag and not want to
burn it down and so over the next four years,
(20:52):
America is going to be the home to two major
international sporting competitions.
Speaker 2 (20:56):
You've got the World.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Cup, the FIFA World Cup, which I'm not the biggest
soccer fan, but it's so cool. And then you've got
the twenty twenty eight Summer Olympics hosted in Los Angeles.
And then we've got the nation's going to be celebrating
its two hundred and fiftieth birthday and is expected to
once again land on the Moon, all before the next
presidential election cycle. So I just thought to myself, like,
isn't it so fitting that Donald Trump is going to
(21:19):
be the guy overseeing all these momentas, you know, all
these incredible occasions for the United States, Like I feel
like that's just kind of like it's just really fitting,
you know, and very cool that I'm going to be
celebrating America to this extent.
Speaker 3 (21:34):
Oh yeah, I'm so moved by the idea of all
of that, you know. And also on July fourth to
have the fireworks over Mount Rushmore again in South Dakota
and having Governor Known there and just celebrating this country.
You're so right about this. It also is kind of
reminiscent of Ronald Reagan. Remember in nineteen eighty the Olympic
(21:56):
Games were in Lake Placid, New York, and the US
men's hockey team defeated the Russians, defeated the Soviet Union,
and that moment became absolutely emblematic of like a full
restoration of America and the American spirit and the American
people and patriotism and all of that right, and a
(22:19):
lot of that is is like echoing through to today.
This is going to be, as President Trump says, a
new golden age.
Speaker 1 (22:29):
And I love that he wants to do this salute
to America two fifty and to not just a day
of celebrations, but to celebrate the country for an entire year.
And I just think like, not only just to renew
the American spirit and to remind us all of why
we're Americans and like what America stands for, because I
really think we've sort of lost sight of that, but
just sort of, you know, reconnecting with what it means
(22:51):
to be America and why America is so great. But
I also think I love the message that that sends
to the rest of the world, because it is very
clear that we are in a diminished state in the
eyes of our enemies and our friends abroad. And so
I also just think, like a year long celebration of
showing America or showing the rest of the world how
strong we are, how patriotic we are, that America is back,
(23:14):
and you know we're not going to be messed with
also just re establishes or standing in the rest of
the world as well.
Speaker 3 (23:21):
You know, it really is the Trump effect. So within
forty eight hours of him being declared the winner, you know,
he got a phone call from Voladimir Zolinski, you know,
the Russians. Putin is saying we want to wind down
this wars. Olensky is ready to negotiate. Hama says, this
is it. We want peace with Israel. The Iranians have
(23:43):
stepped down. And then you've got like here at home,
New York City Mayor Eric Adams had a phone call
with President Trump and announced New York City is going
to be winding down giving away those prepaid debit cards
to illegal aliens. So it already, I mean President Trump
doesn't take office yet for another time and a half months,
two months something like that, and yet already it's having
(24:04):
a cascading effect. So just imagine when he gets in
day one on the resolute desk, he is going to
have a stack of executive orders, and at after he
takes the oath and he goes back to the Oval,
he's going to execute on all of that, and it's
going to be immediately seal the border, launch a mass
(24:25):
deportation effort, move to make the tax cuts permanent, drill
baby drill, lifting, all the regulations on American domestic energy production.
All of that is going into play literally within an
hour or two of him taking the oath. It is
going to be a breath taking time and so exciting. Lis,
(24:46):
I just can't wait.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Well, and that's the thing.
Speaker 1 (24:48):
If all these things as you mentioned, already preemptively happening
before he even takes office, then what is the next
four year.
Speaker 2 (24:57):
Is going to look like?
Speaker 1 (24:58):
You know, I mean it just you know, this is
the first time you know, I've been you know, I'm
sure all of us have been just like really beaten
down over the past four years under this administration and
just kind of feeling like, you know, this is not
the America that I love, and you know, kind of
really you don't even COVID of just sort of feeling
like people don't care about freedom anymore.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
And you know, like is it over?
Speaker 1 (25:21):
Like really just we've had a lot of depressing conversations
on this podcast. I'm not gonna lie, and it was
a reflection of what was happening in the country, and
you know, for the first time in a long time,
I just I feel so hopeful and I really do believe,
you know, when Donald Trump talks about you know, dream
big or this golden age that we're going to have
as a country, like I really and even just as
you pointed out all those things that are already happening
(25:42):
when he's not even president, it just really makes you think,
you know, you know, how amazing are the next four
years going to be for this country?
Speaker 3 (25:50):
Well, you know, I mentioned Ronald Reagan earlier in her
chat here, and when Reagan was elected, Remember, Jimmy, one
of the big reasons why Carter lost was because we
had numerous American citizens being held hostage by the Iranian
regime in Tehran. So Reagan is elected and within the
(26:11):
moment he started taking the oath. On December twentieth, nineteen
eighty one, Iran released the American hostages Why because Iran
knew that he would go and kick their ass. Okay,
he was going to bomb them into oblivion unless they
released our people. And it is the same dynamic here.
It is achieving peace through strength. And you know, when
(26:33):
I was getting my PhD at Columbia in international affairs, Lisa,
I was told and taught that there is an actual
theory called the madman theory in international relations. And it
is all about a leader who is not technically crazy,
but is portrays himself and decision making and perhaps even
(26:55):
policy as just unpredictable enough that it keeps your enemies
off balance. And when your enemies are off balance, it
serves as a deterrent and those enemies do not act
against you, your citizens, or your interests. That the most
quintessential mad men theory in action. Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan.
(27:19):
But I got to say the best one of all
is Donald Trump. Why because when he threatens, he means it,
and our enemies know that, you know, terrorist organization sitting
in a cave somewhere going, holy crap, you know President
Trump might be crazy enough to nuke us. Yeah, yeah,
Because when it comes to the American people and America's
(27:40):
interests around the world. He puts them first, and so
in his first term he didn't even have to do anything.
He did not even have to lift a finger, Lisa.
It was his strict just presence, his being, and his bearing.
All he had to do was glare at Putin, and
Putin knew, don't even think about going into Ukraine because
(28:03):
if you do, there's going to be hell to pay.
Not even going to tell you what it is. But
and he Trump tells the story about steering down the
leader of the Taliban and showing him a picture of
his home from a satellite.
Speaker 2 (28:15):
I love that. I was just yeah, I love that.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
I was just thinking about that when you're saying yeah,
uh huh, don't.
Speaker 3 (28:20):
Even think about it. So Trump doesn't even have to
follow through with any of these threats, whether it's military,
economic sanctions, although we did do a lot of economic
sanctions or tariffs for example. He knows the power of
the threat, and he knows that he has all of
the leverage, So why not use it. If you're president
(28:41):
of the United States and you're sitting on the most powerful,
greatest nation, with all of our power and resources behind you,
why would you squander that or why would you not
use that. Trump knows the art of the deal, the
art of the negotiation, and the art of the threat.
And that's why we were safe for four years the
first time him, you had no invasions China, Russia, Iran
(29:04):
with a nuclear weapon. All of that was frozen in
time because they dared not move. And this time around,
I think it's going to be even better.
Speaker 1 (29:12):
Yeah, I mean you can go through and just look
at all these acts of strength he did without putting
or men and women in harm's way or without creating
like you know, even just sending those what was it
fifty nine Tomawk Musciles.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
I believe I'm trying to remember the number.
Speaker 1 (29:25):
But to Syria when he first took office, or dropping
the mother of O bombs in Afghanistan, and I think
he was like having chocolate cake with President Gi when
he was bombing Syria and like told him, you know,
and or you know, moving the embassy and you know,
in to Jerusalem and uh, what was it, you know,
taking out Castam SOLMANI like just all these acts of strength,
(29:47):
like really just flexing the American muscle, as you pointed out,
like they have to know that you will follow through
and they knew that with him. Do you think, you
know so because it was such a clear mandate, do
you think that, like the media, the mainstream media will
back off a little bit and some of these you know,
left wing crazies that really they didn't deny him, you know,
(30:10):
his time in office, but they were a nuisance with
all these impeachment hearings. And you know, do you think
some of that will go to the wayside now that
he has such a clear mandate behind him, or you know,
what kind of fight do you think he's going to
have to be up against as he tries to get
all these amazing things done for the country.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Well, you know, the system still remains very powerful, and
the system is not just going to let him march
back in and do whatever he wants. I mean, they've
literally tried everything to stop him, so they're not going
to stop now. And the true revolutionaries in the media
and on Capitol Hill, like the Acason of the world,
they're not going to stop throwing things at him. But
(30:49):
the difference this time is he is aware of what's
coming at him. Yeah, you know, back in January of
twenty seventeen, when you know missus. Clinton's original Russia hoax
was then adopted by President Obama on his way out,
and then the system took it on themselves to undermine
his entire presidency with a lie. They now have been
(31:13):
exposed more and more, and President Trump put out a
video yesterday and I put it up on my Twitter,
putting out notice to the deep state, like you're done,
the party is over. Here's what we're going to do.
And he's going to put leaders in charge of these
institutions to either raise them to the ground completely or
reform them in the way that needs to be reformed.
(31:37):
So they're going to continue to attack him. But the
fact that he got such a huge mandate and the
fact that the Republicans, the Conservatives, control all three branches
of government starting in January, White House, House, Senate, and
Supreme Court, it seems to me that the people who
(31:58):
are going to continue to attack him are going to
look small, They're going to look petty, they're going to
be exposed even more. Again, that doesn't mean they'll stop,
but I think there's going to be tremendous pressure to
kind of lay back a little bit again. Not the
diehards that are going to continue this, but I think
(32:18):
you know, if they're going to try to throw stuff
at him that's based on lies and hoaxes, it's going
to be exposed a lot faster, and they're going to
be discredited even more than they already are and exposed
and basically turned into laughing stocks. So again, we've got
to be at the ramparts. Don't get me wrong, but
(32:39):
I think the wind has really been taken out of
their sales.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
We've got more on the show, but first, Americans are
tired and frustrated by a stalling economy, inflation, endless wars,
and the relentless assault on our values. Thankfully, there's companies
like Patriot Mobile that still believe in America and our constitution.
I'm proud of partner with Patriot Mobile because they're on
the front lines fighting for the First and Second Amendments,
sanctity of life, and for our military and first responder heroes,

same coverage.
Speaker 2 (33:43):
They don't, and they can't.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
Switch to America's only Christian conservative mobile provider, Patriot Mobile. No,
I'm so glad it was such a clear mandate because
to your point, you know, it doesn't mitigate the total crazies,
but it probably.
Speaker 2 (33:57):
Mitigates some of it.
Speaker 1 (33:59):
You know, Mona, I wanted to ask you before we go.
I think one thing that I found so impressive about that, Well,
first of all, the Trump campaign just did a really
brilliant job in all aspects of campaigning. But you know,
I used to work on the communications side, so one
aspect I was really impressed with is you know, obviously
they got universally negative media coverage. We've seen that in
(34:19):
the studies that Media Research Center has done. But in
order to bypass that, they really made use of podcasts
of the interview he did on X of just these
really creative earned media events like working at McDonald's for
the day or showing up when a trash truck just
and that's not easy to do, right, Like, I don't
think any other candidate would be able to break through
(34:42):
that sort of wall of like unprecedented media bias. But
he was able, you know, his campaign and he was
able to find a way to do that, and it
was just it's a really brilliant strategy and I was
I was very impressed by the way they navigated it.
Speaker 3 (35:00):
Brilliant. Yeah, And you know what, because he was more relaxed,
I think because he was starting to see the numbers
come in too. So Kamala had a bit of a
burst right after Biden stepped down and she was installed
as the nominee and then her convention and so on.
But then the number started to really shift back into
(35:21):
President Trump's favor and so he could kind of relax
into the campaign and enjoy it more. And those iconic
moments of working the friar at McDonald's and being in
the passenger side of a garbage truck and then doing
the rally that night wearing the sanitation worker vest and
(35:41):
then making a joke about it about how he didn't
want to wear it, he wanted his typical blue suit on.
And his staff really played to his vanity and said, oh,
but mister President, you look a lot thinner in that
I mean hysterical, right, And he.
Speaker 1 (35:54):
Was like, oh yeah, story was so funny, Like.
Speaker 3 (35:58):
Yeah, so funny. Those iconic moments, you know, are so
important because what they showed is that he is with
the forgotten men and women, the hard working American people
who make this country go every single day, and that
he has not changed one bit since he came down
that escalator and spoke directly to the forgotten men and women.
(36:21):
And he is right there, whether he's a former president
and a future president, he's a sanitation worker just like
the guy down the street is, and that he is
there for them and he is fighting for them, you know.
And by the way, he looks so comfortable in these jobs.
Speaker 1 (36:37):
You know, and had fun with it, you know, him
to really enjoy being around people, and you know, and
was like.
Speaker 3 (36:45):
And he was and people sense that authenticity versus Kamala
bringing out a different accent every five minutes, depending on
her audience. That kind of raw authenticity is worth its
weight in gold, in life, and especially in politics. So
Trump is the same person whether he's talking to you
or me, Lisa, or whether he's talking to your local
(37:06):
garbage man or a school teacher or a fighter fighter
or President Jijimping. He is the same man and people.
This is his superpower really because he's like, look, I'm
here to serve I'm a heder here to serve you
because I am you, and I respect you and I
admire you, and you're doing an honest day's work for
(37:28):
an honest day's pay, and God bless you. You're making
this country run. And I am here to fight for you,
not to fight for myself, not to fight for Paris
and Brussels, to fight for you. I mean there's been
I don't know that there's been a more powerful message
or messenger in American history.
Speaker 2 (37:45):
That's true.
Speaker 1 (37:46):
I mean, you know, I'm way better than me, But
the interactions I've had with him, it's like you're almost
kind of like you're or.
Speaker 2 (37:51):
Even you know, he's so normal and like funny and just.
Speaker 1 (37:54):
Treats you with such kinda as that you kind of
forget that like this is a billionaire and the pred
of the United States, Like he's just like normal and
just you know, was very kind and I think one
thing and I'd love to hear we have to say
about this and then we can go. It seems as
if since the first assassination attempt, you kind of just
(38:15):
see it in his interactions and his mannerisms, and it
seems like he's even more purpose driven than he was
before in the sense of just recognizing that, Like he
even said it in his acceptance speech the other night,
about how God saved me so I can save the country. Yeah,
it just seems like that has really resonated with him.
And even you saw it during the R and C
(38:37):
convention when he was surrounded by with his grandkids. There
was just a softness on his face of just it
seems like he was just really embracing the moment and
recognizing that God spared him and that he's you know,
he's here to do so much more. Do you get
the sense of that from him and that that's just
changed things so much?
Speaker 3 (38:56):
Yeah, Yeah, I do. I mean he's still a fighter,
and he's all hilarious, and he's still brilliant, and he's
still the best community political communicator I've ever seen, but
there's something changed in him. And remember earlier in our
chat today, Lisa, we talked about the hand of God
and I said, maybe God had more work to do
in him to bring President Trump closer to him. I
(39:20):
think you see that. I think he really believes, like
you know, throughout the Bible Old Testament, New Testament, God
uses really imperfect people to do extraordinary things, whether it's
Abraham or Moses or David or the Disciples. I mean,
there's only been one perfect person to stride the earth,
(39:41):
and that was Jesus Christ. So we're all imperfect. But
He's taken people who are profoundly in some ways flawed
to show out through them through their faith, through their belief,
through their acts. And I think we're living through one
of those extraordinary moments right now. And how exciting is that.
(40:02):
I'm getting shills just saying that to you. It's so
exciting to be part of that, don't you think?
Speaker 1 (40:08):
Yeah, I mean I'm excited that. I feel like the
podcast episodes moving forward are going to be happy find
out right. It's like, you know, it's like sometimes you
don't want to have these conversations, but you know, was
what was happening, and you know, and so it's nice
to feel like, oh man, we're gonna have hopeful conversations
moving forward, and hopefully conversations about you know, America reasserting
(40:31):
its authority around the world, not you know, via a
military interactions, but just through strength, be through strength and
just really putting points on the board for America. So
I'm excited about being able to have positive conversations.
Speaker 3 (40:44):
Yes, I know it's going to be such a great
time and upbeat and optimistic and look again, anything can happen.
But I don't believe God took President Trump and America
this far only to abandon us.
Speaker 2 (41:00):
I agree.
Speaker 1 (41:00):
Well, Monica, you are an impressive woman and even better person.
Speaker 2 (41:04):
So I love you.
Speaker 1 (41:05):
You're the perfect person to have on to talk about
what this victory means and what it means moving forward
to someone who's been with him from day one.
Speaker 2 (41:13):
Is never waivered.
Speaker 1 (41:13):
So thankful for your time, and I miss you, hope
to see you soon. Oh.
Speaker 3 (41:17):
I so appreciate this, Lisa, Thank you so much, and
I feel the exact same about you. Thank you and
love you too. And God bless that was.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
Monica Crowley, Appreciate her for coming on the show. Appreciate
you guys at home for listening every Monday and Thursday,
but you can.
Speaker 2 (41:30):
Listen throughout the week.
Speaker 1 (41:31):
Hon to thank John Cass, whom my producer, for putting
the show together.
Speaker 2 (41:34):
Until next time.
