Speaker 1 (00:11):
You're listening to the Buck Sexton Show podcast, make sure
you subscribe to the podcast on the iHeartRadio app or
wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
I'm just gonna come out and say it. This TikTok
ban is crazy town. Okay. I've tried to work with
conservatives on this. I've tried to convince them. I've tried
to get them to see the light, but they are
are not paying attention to what's really going on here.
This is a violation the First Amendment. I talked to
Senator Ran Paul about this. TikTok hasn't done anything that

(00:42):
hasn'tspired on anyone. It hasn't given any data to China.
And I think Trump's gonna save it this over the
course of the weekend. We got the inauguration on Monday.
I think you're gonna find that Trump has saved it.
So I'm also going on record here with this because
everyone's going to end up agreeing with me once Trump
saves this thing that it should be saved because this
whole this is just anti China hysteria. And I'm not

(01:04):
saying that China is not a problem. I'm just saying that,
first of all, It is bizarre that a law gets
passed that has bipartisan support and then everyone goes, wait,
you mean we're really going to do this thing. Yeah,
you passed a law to do it, so it is
a thing that's going to happen because you wanted it
to happen. You know, members of Congress, they're like this

(01:26):
with immigration too. What do you mean these people are legal?
You're the ones that write the laws. So the whole
thing is crazy to me, honestly, and it's indicative of
people acting on kind of heard emotion instead of thinking
it really thinking it through, you know, you know, and
this is and this guy, here's this guy, Scott Galloway

(01:48):
weighing in on this thing.

Speaker 3 (01:50):
TikTok is also hosting an event during the inaugural festivities
to celebrate influencers who campaigned for Trump.

Speaker 4 (01:56):
I know.

Speaker 3 (01:56):
Obviously the APP CEO is also expected to attend the inauguration.
They're set to be banned in the coming days by
US law. So now there's a scrabble from both parties
to extend the deadline, possibly stop the band altogether. What
do you reading to the CEO being there is that
that's also I guess purely transactional.

Speaker 1 (02:13):
Jeffrey asked if I think one hundred million dollars to
the GOP Senate campaign, and all of a sudden he's
one of the largest investors and owners of American owners
in TikTok, and all of a sudden, we're reconsidering a
law that was passed by eighty Senators and in the
great serious succession. Logan Roy says in a negotiation with
his children, you are not serious people. Are we a
serious country? When the president signs a band against a

(02:35):
foreign adversary and then on the eve of the band
we blink. What happens the next time we're negotiating a
trade agreement or trying to negotiate them not invading Taiwan?
Are we a serious people? We're blinking, We're scrambling. They
called our bluff.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
He's wrong. I think this guy is wrong on this issue.
We're going to blink at the eve of the band. Yeah,
we should blink. The band is stupid. It's a dumb band.
About sixty percent of TikTok is owned by funds, international
funds around the world. It's this isn't run by some
you know, resputant like figure out of Beijing doing the

(03:11):
bidding of the CCP. The CEO is from Singapore, and
yet everyone's running around like, oh, it's a Chinese spying. Uh,
they're gonna put so much bad stuff. You think this
stuff that's on TikTok is worse than what's on YouTube,
which totally dominates the video market, totally dominates online. Your
kids are all watching YouTube, and your grandkids they're all
watching YouTube. And it is so left wing dominated and

(03:33):
such a anti free speech platform. I mean, you know,
like I'm gonna go. YouTube is gonna this will this
show will be on YouTube. I can't grow. I got
millions of people listening to on radio every day. I
get like, you know, a couple of one hundred people
on YouTube. I keep getting shot. I just got shut down.
I got demonetized, and now I'm i'm you know, not
being and now I'm like remonetized on YouTube. But they
shut me down for months why some non some nonsense.

(03:56):
They didn't like something I said. But this is why
people say, oh, I'm so worried about the Chinese. Worry
about the communists in this country. Worry about the communists here.
They are the bigger threat to your freedom This whole
thing with the with TikTok is nonsense. It is nonsense.
People need to wake up. Banning this doesn't serve our

(04:18):
purposes at all, or shutting it down or whatever they
want to say. Anyway, I think Trump is going to
save it. Probably Trump's the greatest. He's going to save it.
And you know, it's just the beginning of many good
things I think he's going to do in office. You know,
in a couple of weeks, on January twenty seventh, will
recognize International Holocaust Remembrance Day. It's a day to remember

(04:39):
the great evil of the Holocaust, when millions of Jews
were killed during World War Two. Today, the rise in
global anti Semitism and the constant attacks on Israel show
us that it's more important than ever to remember the
atrocities of the Holocaust to ensure it never happens again.
It's another one of the reasons why I've partnered with
the International Fellowship of Christians and Jews. They've provided food, shelter,
and safety to Jews in Israel and around the world,

(05:00):
including those remaining Holocaust survivors. Your donation today will help
provide food, water, medicine, and other basic necessities to Jewish communities.
A gift to show your support of the Jewish community
by supporting, by visiting support I f CJ dot org.
That's one word, support, I f CJ dot org. Or
call eight eight eight four eight eight I f c J.

(05:21):
That's eight eight eight four eight eight I f CJ. Now,
this is one of my favorite clips I've seen in
quite a while. You know, Joe Rogan does a great podcast.
I listened sometimes I don't have much time to listen
to anyone stuff other than my own, but I listened
on occasion. And then Mark Zuckerberg interview. He did, remember
Mark Zuckerberg. Now he's doing jiu jitsu, he's grown his

(05:44):
hair out, he wears a gold chain. He's a little
more of an alpha bro. Right, that's the whole thing.
He's lost off like a little weird computer guard with
our robotic voice, and now he's you know, he's an
obviously incredibly rich guy, incredibly influential, and he decided that
he was going to have a you know, a moment
of sort of bro bro unity with Joe Rogan on

(06:10):
how to Bowhunt. But this is how that went. You
got to listen to this.

Speaker 4 (06:14):
Which is another reason why things have become sort of emasculated,
because that energy is not necessary anymore to acquire meat.
You know, that used to be the way that people
got meat. You had to go hunt it, so you
had to go actually pull the trigger, kill the animal yourself,
cut it up, butcher it, cook it. You knew what
you were doing.

Speaker 5 (06:33):
Yeah, well my favorite is bo Bona.

Speaker 4 (06:35):
I prefer it because it's it requires more of you.
But yeah, another what kind of bow do you have?

Speaker 5 (06:42):
Gosh, I didn't get to do it this season, But.

Speaker 4 (06:47):
Do you know the company that makes it?

Speaker 5 (06:49):
Not at the top of my head.

Speaker 4 (06:51):
You have to know.

Speaker 5 (06:51):
Yeah, no, this is embarrassing, This is embarrassing.

Speaker 4 (06:55):
I can get you hooked up.

Speaker 2 (06:57):
Yeah it works.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Okay, you know how old it is?

Speaker 5 (07:01):
No, it's it's not old. Okay, I think it's It's
like a just a compound bow that I got strung
to my draw length.

Speaker 4 (07:09):
And did you get someone to coach you? Yeah? Yeah,
who coached you?

Speaker 5 (07:13):
It's basically a bunch of the guys who who you know,
help run security around the ranch.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Okay, Okay, so he doesn't know, he doesn't know anything
about bowhanning, but it's his favorite. But he doesn't know
anything about it. Isn't no where's bow comes from? He didn't.
I didn't get there this season. Uh yeah, man, I
don't think you've gotten there any season.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
You know.

Speaker 2 (07:35):
I would love to see photos of Mark Zuckerberg out
there bowning. Let me tell you, Bowning is. I think
it's you know, it's tough stuff and uh, you know,
the broadhead goes in and it you know, you got
to hit in the heart of the lungs and you
got to track and the animals bleeding out, and you know,
it's it's a whole other level. I I have. I

(07:56):
learned when I was a kid at Bohan. I did
not Bohan. I never killed anything with the bow and arrow.
I only killed things with shotguns. Uh, no surprise. So
I never actually got to uh got to Bohan. I'm
pretty happy. I'm anyway. I'm It's not for me. I'm
not putting it down. People love it. That's great, It's fine.
It's just not my thing. But I just think it's funny.

(08:18):
It's also not Mark Zuckerberg's thing. He all of a
sudden is going with this and pretending like he's mister
mister bow hunting It's very funny, man, It really is.
The it's the you know, you just want to keep digging,
you know, you try to pretend like yeah, you know
totally like the guys they taught me. Was quite a moment.

(08:42):
And one other good thing. I just want to put
this out there going into the inauguration is I think
these I think these Senate appointments or Center confirmations rather
of the Trump appointees all going all going through. I
don't see a single one that's going to get jammed up.
Right now. It looks like Christy Noman is going to
get through, hag Seth. I think Cash Bartel is going

(09:04):
to get through, which means Trump is going to have
his entire team laid out and ready to go, which
is It's great. I mean, this is what he has wanted,
this is what people have been hoping for the whole time.
I think that Trump is in an incredible position to

(09:25):
have a very consequential and maybe even transformative presidency. Now's
the time, though, when the people have voted for him
me and now we have to make sure we keep
him focused and keep the administration honest about their promises,
and that promises will all be kept. From the campaign
and from the MAGA agenda that this needs to happen.
I think it will, but we need to make sure

(09:47):
that we keep an eye on that because I think
Trump has eighteen months to do all of this before
it just turns into the midterms and then the next
presidential election cycle takes over. He's got eighteen months to
transform the country, maybe even eighteen months to save the country,
depending on how you want to frame it. Our sponsor
is Barckreek Garsenal. Barkreek Garsenal manufactures fantastic firearms simply unbeatable prices.

(10:12):
I've got a bunch of Bear Creek guns myself, pistols
and rifles. And they don't rely on big big box
stores retail stores. They're not doing all this crazy middleman
advertising or anything else. They want to bring the savings
right to you. Their mission has led them to become
a leader in firearms innovation. More and more people are

(10:32):
learning about Barcreek Arsenal. They love these guns. They know
their high quality company is right here in North Carolina.
I bet the founders and CEO they're great people. They're patriots,
love the Second Amendment, and when you see the prices
on their website. You're just going to say these are unbeatable.
Go to Barcreekarsenal dot com again, that's Bear Creekarsenal dot com.

(10:53):
When you're there, make sure you sign up for their newsletter.
All right, when I talk to you in the next
buck brief, it's going to be a Trump administration. It's
very exciting time. Go celebrate, get ready to enjoy it.
It's a great time for the country. Shields high
