In Hour 1 of the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show, Buck Sexton leads a solo broadcast packed with sharp political commentary, election insights, and national security updates. This hour kicks off with Buck encouraging voter turnout ahead of the upcoming off-year elections, spotlighting key races in Virginia, New Jersey, and New York City. He emphasizes the importance of civic engagement and early voting, particularly in tight contests like the New Jersey gubernatorial race and the NYC mayoral and city council elections.

A major focus of the hour is the ongoing government shutdown, which Buck attributes to Democratic leadership, including Vice President Kamala Harris, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. He critiques their handling of negotiations and highlights the impact on federal workers, especially air traffic controllers and TSA agents, citing safety concerns and economic stress. Buck argues that Republicans are pushing for a clean continuing resolution to reopen the government, while Democrats are obstructing progress for political leverage.

Healthcare policy also comes under scrutiny, with Buck condemning the legacy of Obamacare and current Democratic efforts to expand subsidies and entitlements. He frames these moves as part of a broader welfare state agenda that burdens taxpayers and prioritizes illegal immigrants, particularly in sanctuary cities like New York.
The hour takes a dramatic turn with a deep dive into U.S. military strategy in Latin America. Buck discusses the Trump administration’s preparations for potential military strikes against drug trafficking operations in Venezuela. He outlines the deteriorating state of Venezuela’s military and economy under President Nicolás Maduro, describing the country as a failed narco-state. Buck draws parallels to past U.S. counterterrorism actions and positions the strikes as a necessary response to the fentanyl crisis devastating American communities.

Throughout the segment, Buck praises President Donald Trump’s decisive leadership and non-interventionist philosophy, contrasting it with what he sees as Democratic weakness and hypocrisy. He also previews upcoming guest appearances by Karol Markowitz and Miranda Devine, promising further analysis on NYC politics and national issues.

Listeners calling in from New York and California add grassroots perspectives on local races and ballot initiatives, reinforcing the urgency of informed voting and conservative representation.  This episode is a must-listen for audiences seeking bold conservative analysis on the 2025 elections, the government shutdown, healthcare reform, and U.S. foreign policy under President Trump.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody to the Friday Halloween edition of the Clay
Travis and Buck Sexton Show play traveling today, perhaps picking
up a last minute costume. Take guesses as to what
he'll dress up as this year if he does it all.
But he'll be back with us on Monday. So it

(00:21):
is just me aka the Buckster, leading you on this
legendary journey of politics, news, national security, cultural commentary, all
the great stuff that we're going to dive into. Let's
just give you a sense of where we're going. We
have election day on Tuesday coming up. In fact, I

(00:45):
just voted. I meant to have the little sticker in
my hand. I just voted for the Miami Beach mayor.
As you know from listening to Shaw, I'm a Miami
Beach resident, and governance here has been quite good. They
have done things that have made the streets cleaner and
safer and better, and I am very pleased with a

(01:06):
lot of the major decisions that have been made. So
I was a vote for mayor minor, and I am
hoping that he is able to continue. But I'm just
saying I voted. I know it's an off your election,
but that makes it so much easier too. I'm saying
this in part to also perhaps poke.

Speaker 2 (01:27):
I wouldn't say shame.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Poke, Encourage, remind, gently, nudge, are wonderful Virginia and New
Jersey and New York City listeners to make sure where
there's early voting, you're voting early. And if you can't
get there early, well at least get there on the

(01:51):
big day.

Speaker 2 (01:52):
Right.

Speaker 1 (01:53):
You gotta show up to care, if you care enough
about what's going to happen.

Speaker 2 (01:58):
And I think that certainly in New Jersey.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
The latest is that Chittarelli has made this a dead heat.
It is neck and neck with Cheryl there. Virginia is
a little bit, a little bit tougher, tougher sledding, a
little bit more challenging, but still you gotta show up.
Jason mir is looking good for that Attorney General slot
and win some sears. Let's hope she can pull off

(02:26):
a little bit of an upset there, but she's only
gonna do it afar. Virginia listeners go out and tell
all their friends and tell everyone they know. Make sure
you get out there and vote.

Speaker 2 (02:33):
And then we have.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Talked a lot about New York City. I'll give you
some updates on the New York City Mayor's race. But
it's not looking so good. It's not looking so good.
And also some of you have been writing in to
say that I sounded like I was from New York
suddenly when we interviewed Curtis Sliwa that I was I
code switching back to New Yorker all of a sudden.
I mean, I at least it would be authentic in

(02:56):
so far as I am from New York City born
and raid.

Speaker 2 (03:00):
I didn't notice any difference. I'll have to go back
and listen to that.

Speaker 1 (03:03):
I did switch sometimes when I was talking when I
told Clay, but I was switching on purpose to say
he better watch out in Benson.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
You know he better watch out when he said.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
Fall rock away Sheepshead Bay, Staten Island, particularly central southern
Staten Island.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
You know, I wouldn't sick.

Speaker 1 (03:21):
Because he was talking a little bit rough about Curtis Sleewell,
and that's Sleiewa territory.

Speaker 2 (03:25):
But yeah, you've never heard me do with a New
York accent before.

Speaker 1 (03:28):
When I worked at the NYPD, they tell me that
I talked funny, So there you go, because they all
had New York accents and I did not, so I
can do it, though I could switch in and out.
Now we have that those races, I'll give you those details.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
We also have.

Speaker 1 (03:44):
The shutdown continuing. I think Democrats are going to lose,
but they're getting into that desperate mode where the end
is nigh for them politically and they're gonna throw anything
at the wall and see what sticks. They're gonna pull
anything out as they can. And then we've got some
more Kamala Harris trying to rehab her political chances, her

(04:07):
future in politics, which I do not think is strong
and I do not think is well.

Speaker 2 (04:13):
As you know, Clay and I disagree on this one.
I think she's going to have to just.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Fade fade out, but she doesn't want to. I will
agree with anyone, including Clay, that Kamala Harris thinks she
should have a role in American politics going forward. It's
ego driven, though it's not based in the reality of
her chances and the future of the Democrat Party. So okay,
let's first just get a little bit into where we

(04:41):
stand on this government shutdown. First of all, I told
you this is where things could get really messy pretty fast,
and that's when the air traffic controllers and the pilots
are saying, look, it's going to be really rough for
those who are trying to get around the country, trying
to fly when air traffic controllers say enough is enough,

(05:05):
and some of them are going to start calling in sick,
and there's going to be shortages.

Speaker 2 (05:10):
People will be waiting.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
And I will agree with you when you're at the
airport and the plane is there and there's not a
cloud in the sky, and the whole country the weather
is fine, and you're told for staffing reasons your flight
is maybe delayed two or three hours, your flight is canceled.
Perhaps that is an enormously frustrating experience. Here is a

(05:33):
montage of the pilots and air traffic controllers. This is
cut twelve telling democrats open up the government.

Speaker 2 (05:41):
Enough is enough.

Speaker 1 (05:42):
The biggest way to ensure the safety, security and reliability
of our air national air traffic control system is to
pass a clean continuing resolution.

Speaker 3 (05:51):
We are concerned that when our bros and sisters in
TSA and air traffic control are not receiving paychecks, that
they're distracted and that they erode on the margin of
safety that we rely on to go out and operate
our aircraft and do our job safely as well.

Speaker 4 (06:04):
Every day that they go to work, they have not
only the weight of one of the most high consequence
jobs in the entire world. Now they're feeling, how do I.

Speaker 2 (06:12):
Pay for my guests?

Speaker 4 (06:13):
How do I put food on the table?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
No one should have to work without being paid.

Speaker 5 (06:18):
Congress owes it to the American people to get this
thing done, get a clean CR done, and get the
government back open.

Speaker 4 (06:24):
Everyone knows the Vice President Congress is that this shutdown
needs to end.

Speaker 1 (06:29):
Now.

Speaker 2 (06:29):
It has to happen now.

Speaker 4 (06:31):
These guys need to convene, say yes to that clean CR,
get this thing back on track, and again restore that
confidence in the American Republic as we.

Speaker 6 (06:37):
Go into these very busy holiday seasons.

Speaker 1 (06:41):
The White House puts that out and I think it's
very well done.

Speaker 2 (06:45):
It's very straightforward Republicans. I'm not rooting for.

Speaker 1 (06:49):
The Republicans on this one because I'm a Republican. It
is the obvious, sane choice of the two sides here.
The Republican we're trying to keep the government funded in
going Democrats are trying to do the impossible. It's not
the first time that Democrat policies involve squaring a circle, right,

(07:12):
not the first time, Like a man can be a
woman and it's a woman, but it's also a man
at the same time. They do this with some frequency.
But in this case they've shut the government down. They
made the choice, and they're turning to Republicans and saying,
why you shut the government down?

Speaker 2 (07:28):
That is not okay.

Speaker 1 (07:30):
They did this. We are all now working through this
because of them. But they are taking some very bad
advice slash direction from Chuck Schumer, from Jeffreys and oh
yes this is cut eleven, Kamala Harris herself, play it.

Speaker 7 (07:50):
We still have work to do to make America's healthcare
system deliver for all the people and not be a
function of how much money you have in your back pocket. Right,
and Democrats do come from that place of believing that
healthcare should be a right and not just a privilege
of those who can afford it. So how do you
get there? Well, part of how you get there immediately

(08:11):
on this issue of where we are with the shutdown
is to pull firm as they are doing. Part of
it has to be to continue to reform the system.

Speaker 2 (08:22):
They don't reform the system.

Speaker 1 (08:24):
They have done one thing, and that is make health
care worse, make it more expensive, make it more complicated.
They have made it worse. That is the only thing
you can say about the Democrat head in healthcare. Every
promise that was made about Obama Care has been broken.
Everything about this bill, which was a huge fight with

(08:48):
Republicans back in the first term of the Obama administration,
everything about it was either just wrong or a lie.
And now they're saying, well, if we can't continue, the
subsidies were put in place during COVID, so now we
have to continue.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
At that level. They're all these ways.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
What they're really doing is hiding a massive wealth redistribution
scheme and welfare state under the rubric of healthcare. Trust me,
they're not trying to make your healthcare cheaper.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Trust me. They aren't trying to do is.

Speaker 1 (09:24):
What would be needed to make it easier for you
to see a doctor. That's not what they want to
make it so that states like California and New York
will continue treating illegals. Thirty percent of er visits in
New York City illegal alien. So we're essentially now the
soup kitchen and the sick ward for the whole world
seven billion people in counting. You show up here, you

(09:46):
get all this free stuff. And by the way, the
people who are actually here who have to work, create
the productivity to create the wealth that is then pillaged
by these Democrats in your name, of course, but their
own purposes. Yeah, they don't want to make that easier
for you. They don't respect that. In fact, if you
don't pay them what they demand, and it's never enough,

(10:09):
if you don't give them more of what you work
to create, they'll use the resources of the state to
throw you in prison. But the illegals, the people who
are scamming the system, the people who are entirely reliant
on the system, they are the primary constituency of the
Democrat party, which is a party of takers using government force.

(10:32):
That is the whole point. That is the whole premise.
Everything else to say about healthcare is a lie. Look
at your premiums. It's all gotten more expensive, it's all
gotten worse. Hey, look, John Fetterman, not sure how much
longer he's even going to be a Democrat. He's out
there saying that, I mean, this is just appalling what
Democrats are doing. And he said it in a Fetterman

(10:56):
way this has cut thirteen. Listen to his take on
the government shutdown.

Speaker 6 (11:00):
For a Democrat, you know, we're not allowed to just
open this up. I mean, then our party has bigger
problems than I thought we might have already. It's like,
that's not controversial. Pay everybody, and you have our workers
here borrowed over a third of a billion dollars to
pay their own bills.

Speaker 2 (11:21):
Like it's it's it's a failure.

Speaker 6 (11:25):
And like I said to all of the viewers, I'm
apologizing that that we can't even get our together and
just open up our government.

Speaker 1 (11:36):
Democrats are the ones Betterman's voted to keep it open
or to open it. Rather, Democrats are the ones who
have shut it down. They have decided that this is
the way it's going to go, and then they turn
around and say why is it happening like this? So
I think we're we're going to see eventually a Democrat
cave on this issue unless Republicans managed to snatch defeat

(12:03):
from the jaws of victory. That is always possible for Republicans.
There is always a chance here. Although I will say
I was pretty heartened by Senator Thun who is not
usually the guy you'd think leading the William Wallace style
brave Heart charge for freedom, But he did seem pretty
agitated over what Democrats are doing here, because remember, they've

(12:26):
chosen to do this, but then they're lying about it.
Democrats have forced this shut down by making demands that
have nothing to do with specifically funding this government as
it is as it's supposed to be with a cr
with a continuing resolution. They want to hold the government's
funding hostage. But then they turn around and say it

(12:48):
is the Republicans who are shutting down the government. That
is a lie. And I do think that a majority
of the American people, at least those who are paying
attention to this, see that. I do believe that the
Democrats are losing. And once election day passes, come on
New Jersey. Can I just my New Jerseyans. Sometimes us

(13:09):
New Yorkers, we give you a rough time. We treat
you like the cousin that perhaps gets a wedgie when
we see you at the holidays. But we love you
New Jersey, we really do. From a New Yorker to
my New Jerseyans out there, get out there and vote.
You can have a good governor who's going to end
the sanctuary state status of New Jersey. Who's going to

(13:33):
bring down the absurd taxes that you pay. There's so
much that will benefit you. Get out there and actually
do this. Get out there and vote. And for those
who say I already have, okay, well tell other people
remind I'm reminding friends here. I'm in Miami Beach. I
got friends who have forgotten that there's a mayor's election happening.

Speaker 5 (13:55):
You know.

Speaker 2 (13:55):
I'm like, well, yeah, that's right, it's going on. We
live here and the.

Speaker 1 (14:01):
Decisions that have been made have been really of major
impact for us who live in this area. So for
any of my Miami Beach people listening, get out there
and vote. I mean, I voted for minor I highly
recommend you do the same. But unless you want things
to turn into mayhem here again. I'll also take a
lot of your calls because it's Friday and I want
to hear from you. Eight hundred two two eight eight two. Look,
this is the kind of thing happening in neighborhoods around

(14:22):
the country. Maybe not on a holloween night, but it
happens often enough. Someone's home gets broken into, a word
gets out, when someone puts up a post on the
next door app. Suddenly there's heightened awareness. You must find
a way to protect yourself and your family. This is
why I want to tell you about the protection tools
that you want from Saber spelled Sabre. The website is

(14:43):
saberradio dot com. I've got them here at home, Clay's
got them. Saber products have safeguarded hundreds of thousands of people. Sabers,
pepper sprays, pepper gels, and projectile devices are all proudly
made here in the USA, and they're non lethal, but
they're very effective. They've got the projectile device, for example,
the pepper projectile launcher that is so useful for stopping

(15:07):
the threat in a non lethal fashion. Fires a fires
a projectile turns into a six foot pepper irritant cloud.

Speaker 2 (15:15):
And trust me, you don't want to be anywhere near
this thing.

Speaker 1 (15:17):
And it's gonna slow anybody down and give you the
options that you need to protect yourself. So act now,
protect yourself and your family. Save fifteen percent on Sabers

Making America great Again isn't just one man, It's many.
The Team forty seven podcast Sundays at noon Eastern in
the Clay and Buck podcast feed. Find it on the
iHeartRadio app or wherever you get your podcasts.

Speaker 1 (15:58):
Welcome back into clay Buck and we have some guests
coming to join today. I want to tell you our
friend Carol Markowitz special Halloween guests here. Will they be
in costume for their radio appearances?

Speaker 2 (16:10):
I don't know.

Speaker 1 (16:11):
Perhaps Carol Markowitz and Miranda Devine will be with this.
Two great ladies, Great ladies. Miranda Vine just interviewed Jadie
Vance for her show pod Force one. We'll talk to
her about that in some detail. And Carol Markuit's got
a lot to discuss with her about NYC and these

(16:32):
other elections and whatever else is on her mind. But
I mentioned Senator Thun who is apparently, from what I
understand what I gather, gentlemanly generally not very very feisty,
but that has changed recently. He has decided that what
the Democrats are doing is just too much with this shutdown,

(16:54):
and here he is play seventeen.

Speaker 5 (16:55):
I think their leadership is in a box. You've got
the New York mayoral election coming up, You've got all
these left wing groups that are clamoring for attention and
to fight with Trump, and I just think the Democrat
leaders are scared and threatened by all this outside noise
and afraid to open up the government. So if this happens,
I think it happens through the rank and file Democrats

(17:18):
who come to the conclusion that this isn't anybody's best interest.
And I think that's going to happen, Becky. It's always
a matter of time. I mean, like I said, I've
been through a few of these, and there isn't anything
instructive about it. Nobody wins. This is just a stupid exercise.
It needs to end, and as sooner the better.

Speaker 1 (17:36):
Indeed, all true, and I think Democrats are going to
end up on the wrong well they're already on the
wrong side of it, but I think that they're going
to suffer politically somewhat from this. Although people forget and
people are often too easily misled on who's responsible for what.
We'll get into more coming up here to second. One

(17:57):
of the more exciting projects I've taken on this year
is a really cool E newsletter, and we're witnessing an
incredible healthy stock market. Is things are looking great with
the economy so many ways. So I wanted to merge
the political with the financial and that's where this newsletter,
Money and Power comes in. Now I'm teamed up with
some finance experts. I'm writing the big think pieces the

(18:20):
political side of it. They're handling the actual portfolio, the
model portfolio. They have looking at individual investment opportunities and
there's huge opportunity ahead, something I'm referring to as the
Manhattan Project too. Now it's totally separate from this radio show.
So I want you to go check this out. Go
sign up for this e newsletter. It's got a little
cost associated with it, but it's not expensive, and you're

(18:42):
gonna say, wow, this is really cool. I'm getting great stories,
great advice, and can really benefit from some of these
market picks. Go to Insider twenty twenty five dot Com
Insider twenty twenty five dot Com Subscribe Today, paid for
by Paradigm Press. A little bit of a departure from
the political stories of the day for a second here.
Although this certainly has a lot of politics involved the possibility, which.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
Is now starting to look more and more like a probability, that.

Speaker 1 (19:17):
There will be strikes by our military inside of Venezuela.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
This would be something.

Speaker 1 (19:27):
As you know, we have already had about a dozen
kinetic strikes, missile attacks really on drug vehicles of one
kind or boats, but also submarines, right, so different kinds
of nautical vessels. So that's going on already, and international

(19:48):
waters are getting blown up. Senator Rampaul is very upset
about this. It is quite aggressive. But you have to
look at this as we don't want people dying from
fence and overdoses anymore. That fenthanol gets to US shores,
people take it, they die in large numbers. Enough is enough.
I am not seeing a lot of outrage from the
American people over this. And we have set a precedent

(20:13):
in the past where executive action for counter terrorism has
resulted in strikes, including in countries sovereign nations with whom
we are not at war, Pakistan being the most of it,
but also Yemen and so all you So we have
been striking enemies in countries without a declaration of war
for a long time and those are essentially terrorists involved

(20:37):
in ongoing plotting, and that's enough to take them out.
So in this case, you look at the transportation of
massive amounts of a very lethal drug. I understand that
people can take it for a while and not die,
but they can take it one time and die. And
a lot of people are going to be addicted to
it and take it until they die. And it's horrendous

(20:58):
and it's a scourge. It's destroying family and communities and
it's awful. And so I have not seen very much
in the way of pushback by the American people. I've
seen Senator Rampaul and a handful of others. Well, the
Trump haters don't like it in Congress because they don't
like anything Trump does. Like we say, Trump could cure cancer,
and all of a sudden, Democrats would be pro cancer.

(21:19):
But this would be an expansion beyond just the strikes
against vessels in international waters to attacks in Venezuela. Miami
Herald a left wing paper here in my hometown, but
there's some good reporting on occasion. Here's what they write.
At a military base in eastern Venezuela's Caribbean coast, radar

(21:45):
screens sit mostly dark generators hum sporadically, parts are stripped
from grounded aircraft, and officers communicate on personal cell phones
because the armies radios no longer work. Just a few
hundred miles north, the Caribbean Sea is bristling with US warships,

(22:07):
stealth jets, and high tech drones. In what analysts describe
as the region's largest show of force in half a century.
Washington has deployed one of the most powerful naval forces
the region has seen in decades, an aircraft carrier, several destroyers,
a submarine, f thirty five fighter jets.

Speaker 2 (22:28):
And swarms of armed drones.

Speaker 1 (22:32):
On the other side, Maduro's war machine struggles to stay alive,
undermined by corruption, neglect, and fear. So here you have,
lining up across the battlefield from each other, the most
formidable military on the planet under the auspices of the
Department of War no longer the Department of Defense. It's

(22:53):
going to take me a while to be able to
make that switch that you don't have to keep reminding me.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
I promise, I'll try. I guess Secretary of War.

Speaker 1 (23:00):
Is now the title as well. I did see a
funny meme going around that hegset didn't want to be
called secretary because that's too wimpy, but that was a joke,
as my understanding. So here we have the Maduro regime
in the weakest military position it has been in perhaps
in the twentieth century, the socialist destruction of their economy,

(23:26):
and the elite's reliance on illegal drugs just to keep
it all, you know, the importation of legal drugs in
the United States. Essentially, Venezuela is a failed state and
a narco state, and this administration, the Trump administration, has
had enough. And there's a lot of reporting coming out

(23:47):
now that the Trump administration has identified targets in Venezuela
that smuggle drugs, that these are part of the international
cartel activities that lead to the deaths of large numbers
of Americans through overdoses through poisoning, and the Trump administration

(24:10):
is preparing to take action against them. There is very
little that Venezuela would be able to do to even
defend its most important military facilities. Essentially, Venezuela is hollowed
out as a regime already, so this would not be difficult.

(24:32):
And now it's interesting because we've had a Trump administration that,
on the one hand, has always stayed very clear in
its philosophy of non intervention. In Trumpian terms, no stupid wars,
no stupid wars, but no stupid wars under Trump has
not meant no military action against our enemies. These are

(24:54):
different things. It is in fact possible, say to take
par art in the destruction of Iran's nuclear facilities without
starting World War three, as some were saying. It is
in fact possible to take out a terrorist mastermind in
custom Solomani, among many others, to take him out with

(25:16):
a strike by the Trump administration in Baghdad and Iraq
and not have Iran irrupt into some broader Middle Eastern conflict.
These are things that Trump administration has done, and has
done effectively and successfully, and for which there has not
been some price that we have paid. So now we

(25:38):
look at the case of Venezuela, it is one thing
to go after these these Venezuelan military facilities. Remember, the
military and the regime are part of the drug trafficking.
This is now a state enterprise for Venezuela. And it
is such a reminder for the American people right now

(26:00):
of what socialism really does, what social justice economics and
politics results in what the obsession with class envy. When
you put bad faith, left wing populis in charge.

Speaker 2 (26:17):
What do they do?

Speaker 1 (26:18):
They destroy like a plague of locusts. They destroy your society.
Venezuela has crazy inflation, it has empty store shelves, it
has horrific crime. There's essentially no meaningful law enforcement. It
plays the mess. This was the third wealthiest country in

(26:41):
the Western Hemisphere after the US and Canada.

Speaker 2 (26:45):
Into the nineties.

Speaker 1 (26:47):
This is a country that has Venezuela has larger proven
oil reserves than Saudi Arabia. I know that sounds impossible,
but you can just grocket. I'm gonna start and crocket
instead of Google it, and then I gotta make that switch.
No more, no more Google crocket. They have the largest
proven oil reserves, or larger than Saudi Arabia. So this

(27:11):
should be for all intents and purposes, this should be
a wealthy, prosperous country. And it has been that in
the past, relatively speaking. But people took over who said,
your life, you the peasants, you the have nots, you
the poor, Your life will be great if you just

(27:32):
put us, the left wing radical socialists in charge. We
will take from them and give to you. Now, to
do that, we have to be able to violate our
own laws. We have to violate property rights, we have
to violate contracts. So you're really you, meaning the the

(27:54):
Venezuelan landless and the peasants. You have to be willing
to create a monster. Chavez den Maduro. You create a monster,
but the monster promises it will be your monster. You're
going to empower this government, in the case of Venezuela,

(28:14):
to be able to run roughshod over decency, fairness, its word, contracts,
the law, morality. It'll do whatever it has to do,
but it's going to take care of you. Just create
that monster, give it power that one time. This is
the story we've seen play out in all of these

(28:35):
socialist dictatorships. This is the story we've seen play out
everywhere that's really communist in its ethos. Guess what happens.
The monster is in charge, and then the monster doesn't
care about the silly poor people who voted for it.
In fact, it makes them poorer, It makes their lives worse,
It enriches itself, and then it eats and tears down

(28:58):
and destroys everything else. Keep itself in power, it is
only self interested. The socialist, the revolutionary elite, all of
these places, including Venezuela, they become entirely self interested.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
It's supposed to be all about other people.

Speaker 1 (29:18):
And guess what, as soon as they have the power,
the elites, the new elite, after railing against the old elite,
that all they care about is staying.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
In power in their own perks.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Is exactly what has happened in Venezuela. And I also
want to remind you, because I've been following this story,
you can tell I get passionate about i'men falling. For
a long time, I had my daddy had a family
friend of ours who found out that his family was
being dispossessed and all their property was being seized by
watching Chavez do his TV show, The Dictator Chavez now

(29:52):
the Dictator Maduro would do this, I think it was
called like Alo mister Presidente or something.

Speaker 2 (29:58):
They would do this.

Speaker 1 (29:59):
Long like almost like like a long Moore radio show,
but it was on TV. They would take callers and
my dad did this guy who's what was watching? Like, Yeah,
oh that family, We're gonna take all their stuff. You know,
they're capitalists. Their pigs.

Speaker 2 (30:12):
We're going to take all their stuff and to flee
the country.

Speaker 1 (30:15):
Like I said, create the monster, because it's going to
be your monster, right, the people who are upset, the
people who want more stuff. Never works, never works, In fact,
it makes that makes them worse off. And they've traded
their own decency, they've traded their own ethics to get
something that they never end up getting. And then the

(30:37):
populace just become even more desperate and angry.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
And this is the story.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
It plays out over and over again because it's really
it's not about socialism, it's not a social or political science.
It's really about manipulating human emotion and human envy. And
that's why they've destroyed Venezuela. Now what's Trump going to
do about this? Well, it looks like we're about to
take out anything that's involved with the drug trade. Can
the regime stay in power with all of that gone

(31:05):
and destroyed? And won't it also show everybody, Hey, not
only is the Madure regime corrupt and criminal, but they're inept,
they're weak, they're not even good at being dictator. They're
not even good at trampling on all of your rights.
They're pathetic and then do something rise up and replace them.

Speaker 2 (31:30):
Is it better? Who is it? I don't know, but
it certainly seems possible. By the way. The story I
told of Venezuela as i'm here in South.

Speaker 1 (31:39):
Florida, it's the same story with Cuba under Castro, same story,
same story, although in that case, I think you could
even say it was just more about brute force. It
was just they overthrew the government to the force of
arms and pretended they were going to help the poor
and just made everybody poor except that people in charge
in the Castro regime.

Speaker 2 (32:00):
This is the truth of how it works.

Speaker 1 (32:03):
Unfortunately, far too often in Latin America, Trump going after
it's very much If you have not seen clear in
Present Danger, you know I'm a big Tom Clancy fan.
If you haven't seen the movie or read the book,
it feels a little bit like life imitating art here,
because I think this is where we're going, where we're

(32:23):
gonna have really serious and it's gonna be more than
what you see even in clear and present danger. It's
gonna be military action to bring down a narco regime
in South America, the Venezuelan regime. I don't think it's
gonna last that much longer.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
We'll see when you become a new parent.

Speaker 1 (32:39):
Fridays take on a whole new meeting and staying in
is just the way you often go right. But there
are a lot of ways that you need to refuel
the gas tank because I got to take care of
little Speed. He needs a lot of energy a lot
of time. It's not like I finish here and I'm done.
I gotta get on dad duty. I gotta take him
to the park, I gotta change diapers, and I don't
caid that much sleep. Well, what can I do? Chalk,
my friends cho the supplements that they have are critical.

Good huh.

Speaker 1 (34:14):
Josh in Manhattan. He's in U Mom, Donnie Zone there?

Speaker 2 (34:19):
What's going on? Josh? All right?

Speaker 9 (34:22):
Awesome show. And I can tell you the voter turnout
is on presidential levels and people are out there voting.
But also people have to realize too, you know, they're
told about the mayor. We have city council races. We
also have six ballot initiatives. Know on every single one
of them, they want to turn over all the power
to the maya. And he can. That means man Danny

(34:43):
gets in, he can build a housing project in your neighborhood.
And people just have to get out there, know on
all those ballots. But I'm going to tell you something else.
You just brought up Venezuela. Let's remember that legal who
murdered that beautiful girl Lake and Riley Jose Antonio or
Barris from from Venezuela, and they what their criminals over here?
You know, Buck, I'm telling you, I'm out here, I'm

(35:04):
seeing the people, and I'm gonna throw my cards on
the table.

Speaker 2 (35:07):
I'm going for Curtis Lee woom I love where your
head's at.

Speaker 1 (35:10):
Would be quite a quite a coup if Curtis pulls
us off. Thank you for calling in, Josh, appreciate you.

Speaker 9 (35:17):
Uh.

Speaker 1 (35:17):
Ozzie in California?

Speaker 2 (35:20):
What's up, Ozzie?

Speaker 10 (35:21):
Yeah?

Speaker 9 (35:22):
All right.

Speaker 10 (35:22):
I like to make two quick points. One about the
marriage race, and that is why does the conservative always
have to drop out? People were calling for Slee Whood
because he didn't have enough votes and Clomo had more. Well,
the problem is if Clomo were to win, he would
do a terrible job, just like he did as governor.
And I don't know why he's running anyway. He was

(35:43):
at the highest position he now he wants to go
to a mayor, but he'd do a terrible job.

Speaker 3 (35:48):
And the problem is.

Speaker 10 (35:49):
Is after he got out, everybody would say, as they do,
I'm a Democrat party going left. Oh, we gotta have mom, Donnie.
We didn't get the buses, we didn't get this, and
that we gotta have them, Donnie. So that's gonna be
worse and worse if.

Speaker 2 (36:04):
I got you.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Thank you, Thank you, Ozzie. We're actually at time appreciate
you calling it from California. Look the argument that has
been made, and obviously Clay has been much more on
this because I think Cuomo is horrible too, but I
meaning as well as Mundani. The argument Clay's making is
if you think Cuomo is the lesser evil, then sleewood
dropping makes it more likely Cuomo will be able to win.

(36:29):
A lot of you reject that, and you want a conservative,
you want a Republican to be in the race, no
matter what, you want him to have a shot.

Speaker 2 (36:36):
We'll see.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
The good thing is we'll actually find out what happens
and who's right and what the numbers were, and we'll
get into more of this coming up in just a minute.
