of people because Thanksgiving is this week, a lot of
people out in the road. You can go vote early.
This is my congressional district. This is going to be

And there is a crazy left winger, Afton Vaine who
is running on the other side and on the side
of truth justice in the American way.

I want all of you to go vote for him.
He is Matt Van Epps. He is early voting as
underway Tennessee seventh Retional District. If you don't know if
it's your district, go online, you can look. You can
also just show up and just be be honest, say hey,
sometimes this is confusing.

because they redrew the lines. Nashville has actually now split
three different ways. By in my neighborhood in Franklin, you
can be one congressman, different district. A lot of people
still don't know. Tell us why this race is so important,
hopefully soon to be Congressman Matt Van Epps, and what

Democrats are trying to do by stealing this seat.

Hey Clay, great to be on with you, Matt Man
Epps here and so first and foremost, as you mentioned,
my opponent, Apton Baine is a crazy left wing radical.
If you don't want higher taxes, defunding a police, gender
surgeries for minors without renal consent, you must vote to
stop this person. And that's the only way to do
it is to vote to stop her. So we're asking

everybody to get out and vote. I'm a husband, father,
combat veteran. I'm a West Point Brad, serve nine combat tours.
I've let small business operations, served in state government as
Commissioner of General Services, where I like to say we
were doing Doge before Doge. And I'm still serving in
a Tennessee Army National Guard today and excited to fight

for Nashville, for Davison County, in all of our fourteen counties.

So what is it looking like in terms of awareness
even for this race coming up here? I got to
tell you this is a particularly difficult to sandwich in
this election between Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year's What
can you do to help this is Buck, by the way,
the other guy. What can you do to help get

the word out? And how are you seeing that actually
in play out? Given that, I think there's been a
total lack of focus, which while the Democrats are so
very honed in on trying to sneak this one.

That's right, and Buck, thanks for the question. Great to
be with you.

We just we've got to get out.
Speaker 3 (03:08):
We're telling everybody right now. Early voting goes through the
twenty sixth through Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and then the elections
on December second, So we just need everyone to get
out and vote. You know, my opponent is she is
a crazy radical left winger. She supported Mmdonnie and would

be lockstep in that socialist agenda. Matter of fact, she's
endorsed by the socialists because she's one of them. She
fought against the largest tax cut in state history, and
proposed new taxes. She will make it more expensive for
working families and farmers. And I think when people both
know that about her and that they can early vote

right now through the twenty sixth and election day December second,
that will turn out the vote and it will witness
decisively on December second.

For people out there, how much do you think the
Democrat plan is just relying on a lot of traditional
Republican voters not being aware this election is happening. Because
I said in the first hour, their base of crazy
left wing frankly Afton Bane, you know, like mirror image voters,

is going to show up for everything. They're really plugged
in here. That's basically the Democrats strategy, right, is that
people are just going to be busy and not be
aware this is actually going on.

We you know, we had we had a great win
in the primary. We have great momentum endorsed by the President,
back by the Speaker. We have over forty local endorsements
from sheriffs and county mayors, highway superintendents, farmers, business leaders,
and so that that momentum we're carrying forward. What we

can't have happened is people take it for granted. We've
got to have our side to get out there and vote.
The Democrats are hoping that we don't turn out, and
we've got to fight against this just crazy radical left
wing agenda. It's not right for Tennessee, it's not right
for America. And we do that when people show up
with the jersey on, get on the field and vote.

Affordability is going to be a huge thing that in
the midterms, and you're going to be your race is
certainly going to be if the well Heaven forbid. But
if the Democrats pulled this off, they'll say that it
is indicative of the GOP's lack of focus on the
affordability issue. Right now, I wanted you to speak to
that because there are a lot of people that are

still feeling that the pinch of high prices at the pump,
at the grocery store. You know, whole discussion here in
Florida about property tax, a lot of things that are
making people feel like they can't get ahead. What do
you think could be done in the congressional side to
help with that, And just as a general philosophical issue,
how do you want to approach affordability if you if
(06:02):
in fact you're successful in this election.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Absolutely, and that is top of mind for so many
of our voters. And I agree. We stand for battling inflation,
secure borders, tax cuts, protecting our kids, cheaper gas, supporting
veterans and law enforcement, ending wars around the globe. And
the affordability piece here is top of the top of
the agenda. And I think I'm pro nuclear. I think
(06:27):
we need to unleash America's nuclear power and energy. Tennessee
is leading with the first small modular reactor at the
Clinch riversite in East Tennessee that should be online in
twenty thirty two. And so we've got to promote oil
and gas in nuclears so that we drive down the
cost of the pump, we drive down utilities. Healthcare is
(06:49):
really important. I think a good example is in Carstol, Tennessee,
when when government gets out of the way and in
the private sector is put into play. We have we
have two new hospitals going in at Clarksville. That's going
to increase access, increase competition, drive down costs, it ultimately
increase outcomes. And you're absolutely right. At housing, we've got
(07:12):
to keep property facts as low. I think from a
from a federal standpoint, that's no unfunded mandates. We've got
to work with states and local governments to ensure that
we have workforce housing at close proximity to the workplace.
And we've got to we've got to work continue to
work to keep taxes low and to cut red tape.

We're talking to who I hope is going to be
my next congressman, Matt Van Epps. Can you tell everybody
out there listening right now, because we have a ton
of affiliates. One of the confusing things is your district
runs from basically all the way at Kentucky all the
way down to Alabama. Can you run through some communities
so people who are out there listening can say, oh,

wait a minute, that's me. Because these district lines are
still new, a lot of people out there listening right
now may not be aware that this race is even
going on. So I'll start with you Fort Campbell area,
Clarksville area, a huge part of you, guys, you are
voting for your congressman now and on December second, Nashville
(08:15):
Franklin Brentwood. Different parts of the Nashville area. Nashville is
split up into three different congressional districts. And then on
down south where else what communities should know they are
in this district that you need them to turn out?
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Absolutely so on the north side, Stuart, Montgomery and Robertson
is really important. Our western boundary, Bet and Decatur, we've
got Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Perry and Wayne Sheeatham County. And
then on the on our eastern boundary there, as you mentioned,
we've got Davidson County, Williamson County, it's part of Davidson,

it's part of Williamson, it's border to border, and we
need everyone to get out in and vote. It's just
it's so incredibly important. It's really it's all fourteen counties.
We need everyone from every county on our side to
get out and vote. Don't take it for granted. And
when we do that, we're going to stop this radical
(09:13):
ideology from trying to come into Tennessee. And we're going
to advance affordability. We're going to support working families, farmers,
military and veterans, and we're going to keep moving America
in the right direction, in the America first direction.

And you said early voting ends on Wednesday, right before Thanksgiving?
Is that right?
Speaker 2 (09:38):
And then the actual election day is Tuesday, December second.

Just for people out there, that's right.

in the district, but I hope everybody in the district
is going to go vote. But they want to help
and they just want to ensure that Democrats don't steal

Oh that's great, listen. You know, what do you expect
him to do? First of all, I think Trump handled
them well. He can't have an adversarial relationship with him,
God forbid. We need to do something in New York.
He's got to have an open channel of communication and
it's better that he gets along with him. Not only that,
whether we like it or not. Communism is legal in
the United States, and you could be a communist and

he did get elected. So what do you want Trump
to do? Alien and everyone in New York He's gonna
have to work with them sooner or later. And I
don't want to use this word because but he's gonna
have to manipulate him some water or vice versa in
order to make sure the city doesn't go fall into
higher situations. I mean, we look, we can't have New

York fall away for four years. It's bad for the
city and it takes a long time to overcome that,
as we've seen from the past. So let's see if
Trump can work his magic, and maybe Mondamino Mond, he'll
come to his head and figure out that, hey, he's
got to work with people, including the president, in order
for the good of the of New York City. What

else can we say? Right, I don't know.

I appreciate the call, I think, Buck, and I'm curious
how you would take this perspective. As soon as Trump
agreed to meet with him in the White House, Uh,
And I bet this was your read and you nailed
it before they got there. It was a sign that
Trump was.

Going to be pretty much respectful of Mam Donnie in
the public forum there. I think Trump respects the fact
that Mam Donnie did what he did, which is come
in despite the fact that everybody spent so much money
trying to rip him to shreds.

He won the election. And you and I think that
New York City made an awful choice. We think it
was a disaster.

That there were far better options, and it's a sign
that New York City has painted itself into a corner
that a far better option is considered to be Andrew
Cuomo in any respect. But the fact that we ended
up in this situation and Mom Donnie won, Trump's gonna
have to work with the mayor of New York City
on some level. And what I took away from it

was there may be more agreement on the need for
more housing than has gotten a lot of discussion publicly.
You and I have talked about this a lot, and
I think it's basically the essence of supply and demand.
The only way for the cost of living in New
York City to come down is to increase the amount

of housing availability in New York City. The zoning regulations,
the restrictions on building.

That is actually ensuring that rates remain high, and the
fact that you're going to try to put in place
these restrictions on rent actually means more units are going
to come offline because a lot of guys and gals
who own property, you are going to sit around and say,
I can't make money renting out at this rate based
on what it cost me, and so they pull them

off the market completely. So my take on this is
we got to just have more housing, more availability of housing.
Keith in Martin, Tennessee wants to weigh in on the
Komi and Letitia James case is being dismissed. What's up, Keith, Not.

Much, guys, Thanks for taking my call. I was just curious.
It seems to me that every time we try to
indict one of these liberal people were trying to get
a hope of, they always wind up getting in front
of a liberal judge. Yeah, and that ways gets dismissed.
Why can't we get them in front of a conservative judge.

Well, one of the big challenges is when you bring
cases in blue areas, you tend to have blue judges.
And this is what I've been hammering home for a
long time. We're playing it basically a road game every
single time. There's a case in New York, in Washington,
DC is.

This is where the blue slip process, which the leader
Thuon of the Republicans in the Senate has agreed to.
The bluest slip process is asinine and should go away
because Democrats put in ideologues all the time and Republican
and when they're in power, it's so much easier to

get some left wing jurist in. I think we should
get rid of the blue slip process because somehow they're
able to stack the deck a whole lot more than
we ever are, even we're in charge. It's a bad thing,
my friends. I don't I don't like it. Look, you
never know when you might need to protect yourself, and

get to that with Kaylee too. Kelly, let's start with
this because you also are a Harvard law graduate, So
let's discuss the judicial resistance here. The judge dismissed both
of the indictments against Leticia James and against James Comy.
What do you make of it?
Speaker 9 (20:18):
Yeah, so they did not reach the subject matter and
that you know tis James. They were not comment commentating
on the seriousness of the mortgage allegations against her and
James Comy on the alleged perjury, so they didn't get
to the heart of the matter, the facts of the case. However,
what they're saying is Lindsay Halligan when she was appointed
to that position of interim Attorney. It's complex, but there's
(20:41):
a one hundred and twenty day period. The president can
put someone there, and then a court decides. They say
the manner in which she was appointed was unconstitutional and
therefore any case stemming from her appointment and I was
therefore not dismissed, but dismissed without prejudice, which means that
Trump can refile the case. And I say Trump, but
what I'm is the Trump administration, the DOJ We'll see
(21:02):
if they do that, they can reprosecute it, they can
file an appeal, They have all sorts of ways to
go about this. So his James not in the clear,
call me not in the clear just yet. Though they
are celebrating, I've seen some statements out there.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
You nailed it. They are analyzing it, Kaylee. Most people
are not going to get to the essence. They're just
going to see the headline of it being dismissed, and
they're going to think it means that on the merits
there was not a claim that was actionable brought against them,
And so I think that's important to kind of work
through all this.

Let's go a little bit of a different direction with you,
and we're going to get to the Whispering Angel controversy.
Don't worry. I appreciate your dad. What did you make
of Marjorie Taylor Green's announcement? How surprised were you buy it?
Where does she go from here? What is the significance
of the video and her resignation?
Speaker 9 (21:56):
Well with unsurprising in that when President Trump was through
his endorsement, Look, she was going to face a primary
challenge and she might not have been successful in that endeavor.
We know President Trump has quite some sway with the
Republican base. She knew she was up against that. There
is a trajectory and a history of individuals who have
fallen out with the president getting that primary challenge. It
(22:18):
makes it a lot harder to pass laws through Congress
because there is such a narrow majority. I was reading
reporting and I think punchful that there are some other
frustrated members of Congress on the Republican delegation side that
might consider stepping aside as well, and what a travesty
that would be. Then we could be looking at potentially
you lose enough. See it's just a handful. You could
(22:40):
turn the majority of the House of Representatives over to
the Democrats just by virtue of retirement or people stepping aside.
So let's pray it doesn't come to that, because at
the end of the day, all of these congressman needs
to look in the mirror and realize what's best for
the country, staying on board that people put you there
for a reason, Stay for the long haul, because it's
about the agenda you support and not your personal self.

We have a focus and I know the administration is
looking at this now more as well. On the price
of things. There's real concern out there for people who
are just seeing the price of hamburger meat, the price
of gasoline, their rent, electricity, especially electricity along the East
Eastern Corridor, the East coast because of a lot of
(23:22):
the AI data center stuff that's going up now. So
what do you think that the Republican messaging on this
is where it needs to be? Do you see there
a growing focus on this and how would you assess it?
Speaker 9 (23:37):
I think they're getting there, and I think it's a
really important imperative that they do get to the right spot.
And I've seen Best and others out there saying, look,
we are not denying that there is an issue with affordability.
We're not going to be the Biden administration that say,
you know, oh, there's no problem, move on, you know,
nothing to see here. We're going to acknowledge it, but
also at the same time acknowledge we of the working solution.
(23:58):
Here's the fact President Trump hand President Biden one point
eight percent inflation. Biden took that to nine point one percent.
Trump has since brought it down to in the three
percentage range. Prices are a little bit lagging there, but
I love that we have an administration with creative solutions.
I talked to Scott Turner, the head of Housing and
Urban Development. He's like, look, we're looking at these fifty
(24:19):
year mortgages, We're looking at portable mortgages. And I said,
you know, we can debate the efficacy of each of
those things, but you have an administration that's constantly putting
out new ideas, be it on housing or healthcare, sending
money directly to the people. We could debate each and
every one of these, but they're trying. They have solutions
that are working. We see that with gas prices coming down,
and I think we're going to be in a different
(24:39):
place about a year from now. No tax on tips
is in, no tax on overtime will kick in, and
I think Democrats needs may be surprised at what happens
in the midterms. It could boomerang back at them because
people do remember the Biden years, and make no mistake,
Trump's going to remind them of them.

Kaylee, there's a good article in the Wall Street Journal.
I was reading this morning, and I was curious when
we were going to have you on what your thoughts
are on it.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
It's about women and the idea of seasons of life.
And you and I both went to law school, and
obviously if you go to law school and you start
practicing law, that takes a decent amount of time.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
You've got young kids.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Now, there are a lot of women that I went
to law school with that went hard into practicing law
and they had difficulty balancing out when to have kids.
I know Buck talked about this last week because it's
becoming even more and more of a big topic. What
would you tell young women out there when it comes
to prioritizing career and balancing it with kids and age
(25:41):
and everything that you have learned, given the fact that
you went to law school too.

Absolutely, what I say is you can have it all.
Is it a harder path, absolutely to be a working mom,
no doubt about it, But you find a way. And
if God put that desire on your heart to have
a child, it is there for a reason. And if
you put a desire on your heart to be a
working mom, that's there for a reason too. And one
thing I would note a great example is Erica Kirk
and I saw an interview last night she did, and

she noted that her and Charlie Kirk wanted to have
four children, and unfortunately Charlie Kirk was taken away too soon.
She has two children, young children now, and she said
that she was praying to God that she was pregnant
with her third child at the time of his passing,
and opportually she wasn't. And then she went on to say,
this is why you know, young women out there, nothing

is more important than family, Nothing is more important than
that desire you have on your heart to be a mother.
And if it's there, you just got to go for it.
And I did you know, I got National pres secretary
for the Trump campaign, and I was like, is now
the right time to have a child? And you know, son,
and I tried and got pregnant like in the staff
of the Finger, and baby Blake came and I watched
her little onesies and bathtubs at hotel rooms with my
mom on the campaign trail in New Hampshire and South

Carolina everywhere we went in the primary. But it was
the best thing that I ever did. And you find
a way and if God could sit on your heart
that is there, then he is going to see it
through and He's going to help you in that endeavors
nothing more important in life.

you find yourself in the midst of some controversy as

I was surprised at just how cordial it was. But
then I sat back and I thought about it, and
I have watched this man, Donald Trump play four dimensional
chests constantly. He's not someone who can be you know, flattered.
You may think he's been flattered, and you know he's
praising someone. Because of that flattery, he always has a

plan to sit back, hang tight. I was surprised at
how complimentary it was. But you just wait, you just wait.
I noticed. I'll just say this, mom. Donnie was pressed
on whether Trump that I won't send federal troops to
your city, federal law enforcement, I should say, and he
would not say that. President Trump said that, So I
think there might have been some harsher words behind the scenes.
And you just wait see Trump's next chest move.

And I've checked it. I've asked friends. I said, am
I just feeling is just what you're feeling, And everybody's like, absolutely,
everything feels much safer, much calmer, especially on the roads.
So absolutely this was the right thing to do.

it is to vote to stop her. So we're asking

everybody to get out and vote. I'm a husband, father,

I've let small business operations, served in state government as

in play out? Given that, I think there's been a
total lack of focus, which while the Democrats are so
very honed in on trying to sneak this one.

We just we've got to get out.

We're telling everybody right now. Early voting goes through the
twenty sixth through Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and then the elections
on December second, So we just need everyone to get
out and vote. You know, my opponent is she is
a crazy radical left winger. She supported Mmdonnie and would

be lockstep in that socialist agenda. Matter of fact, she's
endorsed by the socialists because she's one of them. She
fought against the largest tax cut in state history, and
proposed new taxes. She will make it more expensive for
working families and farmers. And I think when people both
know that about her and that they can early vote

right now through the twenty sixth and election day December second,
that will turn out the vote and it will witness
decisively on December second.

For people out there, how much do you think the
Democrat plan is just relying on a lot of traditional
Republican voters not being aware this election is happening. Because
I said in the first hour, their base of crazy
left wing frankly Afton Bane, you know, like mirror image voters,

is going to show up for everything. They're really plugged
in here. That's basically the Democrats strategy, right, is that
people are just going to be busy and not be
aware this is actually going on.

We you know, we had we had a great win
in the primary. We have great momentum endorsed by the President,
back by the Speaker. We have over forty local endorsements
from sheriffs and county mayors, highway superintendents, farmers, business leaders,
and so that that momentum we're carrying forward. What we

can't have happened is people take it for granted. We've
got to have our side to get out there and vote.
The Democrats are hoping that we don't turn out, and
we've got to fight against this just crazy radical left
wing agenda. It's not right for Tennessee, it's not right
for America. And we do that when people show up
with the jersey on, get on the field and vote.

Affordability is going to be a huge thing that in
the midterms, and you're going to be your race is
certainly going to be if the well Heaven forbid. But
if the Democrats pulled this off, they'll say that it
is indicative of the GOP's lack of focus on the
affordability issue. Right now, I wanted you to speak to
that because there are a lot of people that are

still feeling that the pinch of high prices at the pump,
at the grocery store. You know, whole discussion here in
Florida about property tax, a lot of things that are
making people feel like they can't get ahead. What do
you think could be done in the congressional side to
help with that, And just as a general philosophical issue,
how do you want to approach affordability if you if
(06:02):
in fact you're successful in this election.
Speaker 3 (06:05):
Absolutely, and that is top of mind for so many
of our voters. And I agree. We stand for battling inflation,
secure borders, tax cuts, protecting our kids, cheaper gas, supporting
veterans and law enforcement, ending wars around the globe. And
the affordability piece here is top of the top of
the agenda. And I think I'm pro nuclear. I think
(06:27):
we need to unleash America's nuclear power and energy. Tennessee
is leading with the first small modular reactor at the
Clinch riversite in East Tennessee that should be online in
twenty thirty two. And so we've got to promote oil
and gas in nuclears so that we drive down the
cost of the pump, we drive down utilities. Healthcare is
(06:49):
really important. I think a good example is in Carstol, Tennessee,
when when government gets out of the way and in
the private sector is put into play. We have we
have two new hospitals going in at Clarksville. That's going
to increase access, increase competition, drive down costs, it ultimately
increase outcomes. And you're absolutely right. At housing, we've got
(07:12):
to keep property facts as low. I think from a
from a federal standpoint, that's no unfunded mandates. We've got
to work with states and local governments to ensure that
we have workforce housing at close proximity to the workplace.
And we've got to we've got to work continue to
work to keep taxes low and to cut red tape.

We're talking to who I hope is going to be
my next congressman, Matt Van Epps. Can you tell everybody
out there listening right now, because we have a ton
of affiliates. One of the confusing things is your district
runs from basically all the way at Kentucky all the
way down to Alabama. Can you run through some communities
so people who are out there listening can say, oh,

wait a minute, that's me. Because these district lines are
still new, a lot of people out there listening right
now may not be aware that this race is even
going on. So I'll start with you Fort Campbell area,
Clarksville area, a huge part of you, guys, you are
voting for your congressman now and on December second, Nashville
(08:15):
Franklin Brentwood. Different parts of the Nashville area. Nashville is
split up into three different congressional districts. And then on
down south where else what communities should know they are
in this district that you need them to turn out?
Speaker 3 (08:29):
Absolutely so on the north side, Stuart, Montgomery and Robertson
is really important. Our western boundary, Bet and Decatur, we've
got Hickman, Houston, Humphreys, Perry and Wayne Sheeatham County. And
then on the on our eastern boundary there, as you mentioned,
we've got Davidson County, Williamson County, it's part of Davidson,
(08:52):
it's part of Williamson, it's border to border, and we
need everyone to get out in and vote. It's just
it's so incredibly important. It's really it's all fourteen counties.
We need everyone from every county on our side to
get out and vote. Don't take it for granted. And
when we do that, we're going to stop this radical
(09:13):
ideology from trying to come into Tennessee. And we're going
to advance affordability. We're going to support working families, farmers,
military and veterans, and we're going to keep moving America
in the right direction, in the America first direction.

And you said early voting ends on Wednesday, right before Thanksgiving?

And then the actual election day is Tuesday, December second.

in despite the fact that everybody spent so much money
trying to rip him to shreds.

He won the election. And you and I think that
New York City made an awful choice. We think it
was a disaster.

That there were far better options, and it's a sign
that New York City has painted itself into a corner
that a far better option is considered to be Andrew
Cuomo in any respect. But the fact that we ended
up in this situation and Mom Donnie won, Trump's gonna
have to work with the mayor of New York City
on some level. And what I took away from it

was there may be more agreement on the need for
more housing than has gotten a lot of discussion publicly.
You and I have talked about this a lot, and
I think it's basically the essence of supply and demand.
The only way for the cost of living in New
York City to come down is to increase the amount

of housing availability in New York City. The zoning regulations,
the restrictions on building.

That is actually ensuring that rates remain high, and the
fact that you're going to try to put in place
these restrictions on rent actually means more units are going
to come offline because a lot of guys and gals
who own property, you are going to sit around and say,
I can't make money renting out at this rate based
on what it cost me, and so they pull them

off the market completely. So my take on this is
we got to just have more housing, more availability of housing.
Keith in Martin, Tennessee wants to weigh in on the
Komi and Letitia James case is being dismissed. What's up, Keith, Not.

Much, guys, Thanks for taking my call. I was just curious.
It seems to me that every time we try to
indict one of these liberal people were trying to get
a hope of, they always wind up getting in front
of a liberal judge. Yeah, and that ways gets dismissed.
Why can't we get them in front of a conservative judge.

Well, one of the big challenges is when you bring
cases in blue areas, you tend to have blue judges.
And this is what I've been hammering home for a
long time. We're playing it basically a road game every
single time. There's a case in New York, in Washington,
DC is.

This is where the blue slip process, which the leader
Thuon of the Republicans in the Senate has agreed to.
The bluest slip process is asinine and should go away
because Democrats put in ideologues all the time and Republican
and when they're in power, it's so much easier to

get some left wing jurist in. I think we should
get rid of the blue slip process because somehow they're
able to stack the deck a whole lot more than
we ever are, even we're in charge. It's a bad thing,
my friends. I don't I don't like it. Look, you
never know when you might need to protect yourself, and

get to that with Kaylee too. Kelly, let's start with
this because you also are a Harvard law graduate, So
let's discuss the judicial resistance here. The judge dismissed both
of the indictments against Leticia James and against James Comy.
What do you make of it?
Speaker 9 (20:18):
Yeah, so they did not reach the subject matter and
that you know tis James. They were not comment commentating
on the seriousness of the mortgage allegations against her and
James Comy on the alleged perjury, so they didn't get
to the heart of the matter, the facts of the case. However,
what they're saying is Lindsay Halligan when she was appointed
to that position of interim Attorney. It's complex, but there's
(20:41):
a one hundred and twenty day period. The president can
put someone there, and then a court decides. They say
the manner in which she was appointed was unconstitutional and
therefore any case stemming from her appointment and I was
therefore not dismissed, but dismissed without prejudice, which means that
Trump can refile the case. And I say Trump, but
what I'm is the Trump administration, the DOJ We'll see
(21:02):
if they do that, they can reprosecute it, they can
file an appeal, They have all sorts of ways to
go about this. So his James not in the clear,
call me not in the clear just yet. Though they
are celebrating, I've seen some statements out there.
Speaker 1 (21:15):
You nailed it. They are analyzing it, Kaylee. Most people
are not going to get to the essence. They're just
going to see the headline of it being dismissed, and
they're going to think it means that on the merits
there was not a claim that was actionable brought against them,
And so I think that's important to kind of work
through all this.
Speaker 2 (21:35):
Let's go a little bit of a different direction with you,
and we're going to get to the Whispering Angel controversy.
Don't worry. I appreciate your dad. What did you make
of Marjorie Taylor Green's announcement? How surprised were you buy it?
Where does she go from here? What is the significance
of the video and her resignation?
Speaker 9 (21:56):
Well with unsurprising in that when President Trump was through
his endorsement, Look, she was going to face a primary
challenge and she might not have been successful in that endeavor.
We know President Trump has quite some sway with the
Republican base. She knew she was up against that. There
is a trajectory and a history of individuals who have
fallen out with the president getting that primary challenge. It
(22:18):
makes it a lot harder to pass laws through Congress
because there is such a narrow majority. I was reading
reporting and I think punchful that there are some other
frustrated members of Congress on the Republican delegation side that
might consider stepping aside as well, and what a travesty
that would be. Then we could be looking at potentially
you lose enough. See it's just a handful. You could
(22:40):
turn the majority of the House of Representatives over to
the Democrats just by virtue of retirement or people stepping aside.
So let's pray it doesn't come to that, because at
the end of the day, all of these congressman needs
to look in the mirror and realize what's best for
the country, staying on board that people put you there
for a reason, Stay for the long haul, because it's
about the agenda you support and not your personal self.
Speaker 7 (22:59):

Speaker 1 (23:01):
We have a focus and I know the administration is
looking at this now more as well. On the price
of things. There's real concern out there for people who
are just seeing the price of hamburger meat, the price
of gasoline, their rent, electricity, especially electricity along the East
Eastern Corridor, the East coast because of a lot of
(23:22):
the AI data center stuff that's going up now. So
what do you think that the Republican messaging on this
is where it needs to be? Do you see there
a growing focus on this and how would you assess it?
Speaker 9 (23:37):
I think they're getting there, and I think it's a
really important imperative that they do get to the right spot.
And I've seen Best and others out there saying, look,
we are not denying that there is an issue with affordability.
We're not going to be the Biden administration that say,
you know, oh, there's no problem, move on, you know,
nothing to see here. We're going to acknowledge it, but
also at the same time acknowledge we of the working solution.
(23:58):
Here's the fact President Trump hand President Biden one point
eight percent inflation. Biden took that to nine point one percent.
Trump has since brought it down to in the three
percentage range. Prices are a little bit lagging there, but
I love that we have an administration with creative solutions.
I talked to Scott Turner, the head of Housing and
Urban Development. He's like, look, we're looking at these fifty
(24:19):
year mortgages, We're looking at portable mortgages. And I said,
you know, we can debate the efficacy of each of
those things, but you have an administration that's constantly putting
out new ideas, be it on housing or healthcare, sending
money directly to the people. We could debate each and
every one of these, but they're trying. They have solutions
that are working. We see that with gas prices coming down,
and I think we're going to be in a different
(24:39):
place about a year from now. No tax on tips
is in, no tax on overtime will kick in, and
I think Democrats needs may be surprised at what happens
in the midterms. It could boomerang back at them because
people do remember the Biden years, and make no mistake,
Trump's going to remind them of them.
Speaker 1 (24:53):
Kaylee, there's a good article in the Wall Street Journal.
I was reading this morning, and I was curious when
we were going to have you on what your thoughts
are on it.
Speaker 2 (25:02):
It's about women and the idea of seasons of life.
And you and I both went to law school, and
obviously if you go to law school and you start
practicing law, that takes a decent amount of time.
Speaker 1 (25:15):
You've got young kids.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
Now, there are a lot of women that I went
to law school with that went hard into practicing law
and they had difficulty balancing out when to have kids.
I know Buck talked about this last week because it's
becoming even more and more of a big topic. What
would you tell young women out there when it comes
to prioritizing career and balancing it with kids and age
(25:41):
and everything that you have learned, given the fact that
you went to law school too.
Speaker 9 (25:46):
Absolutely, what I say is you can have it all.
Is it a harder path, absolutely to be a working mom,
no doubt about it, But you find a way. And
if God put that desire on your heart to have
a child, it is there for a reason. And if
you put a desire on your heart to be a
working mom, that's there for a reason too. And one
thing I would note a great example is Erica Kirk
and I saw an interview last night she did, and
(26:08):
she noted that her and Charlie Kirk wanted to have
four children, and unfortunately Charlie Kirk was taken away too soon.
She has two children, young children now, and she said
that she was praying to God that she was pregnant
with her third child at the time of his passing,
and opportually she wasn't. And then she went on to say,
this is why you know, young women out there, nothing
(26:29):
is more important than family, Nothing is more important than
that desire you have on your heart to be a mother.
And if it's there, you just got to go for it.
And I did you know, I got National pres secretary
for the Trump campaign, and I was like, is now
the right time to have a child? And you know, son,
and I tried and got pregnant like in the staff
of the Finger, and baby Blake came and I watched
her little onesies and bathtubs at hotel rooms with my
mom on the campaign trail in New Hampshire and South
(26:51):
Carolina everywhere we went in the primary. But it was
the best thing that I ever did. And you find
a way and if God could sit on your heart
that is there, then he is going to see it
through and He's going to help you in that endeavors
nothing more important in life.

Now, Kaylee, You're generally not one to court controversy, but
you find yourself in the midst of some controversy as
your dad. A beloved and appreciated listener, daily listener of
this program has weighed in on a range of facts,
a range of things, including the fireside Chad vide you

posted in which he has spoken about the Clay Whispering
Angel fiasco. I think at this point we just have
to lead into it, Kaylee, and Clay and I have
to ask for a Whispering Angel endorsement or something, because
there's no escaping from the fact that when Clay had
a whole bar to choose from at the Fox Patriot Awards,
he went for Rose. Kaylee, he went for it.
Speaker 9 (27:48):
You noted that Clay had a halo on at the
beginning of this, and indeed he has a halo, a
Whispering Angel halo. I have a whole press rollout plan
for Clay on this, and you know, I'm a former
press secretary, so I'm good at preschool outs, and Jesse's
team came to me and asked for the picture of
Clay drinking whispering angel. I told Jesse Waters team no, no,
no, no no, I've got a rollout plan for this. It's

going to come out just at the right time. My
dad was so disappointed, drinking bourbon by the campfire. I'm
actually with my h with my brother in law right now,
Michael Bill Martin, and he said, I cannot believe Clay
Travis drinks a whispering angel and his girlfriend Donna said, yeah,
it's pink. It's a woman's drink. He's drinking that. What
is wrong with this man? But my dad has been
your greatest defender, Clay. My dad's walking around the house.

Go when Clay wrote a book called Balls, that man
is a real man. He's not a whispering angel man.
So he's got a great defender in Mike mcadae.

That's a good response to you as a press secretary,
have to say, you know what, he kind of took
a little bit of the heat away with that immediate sentence.

pleased about the media campaign attacking my drinking character that

is coming. Were you surprised by the Mom Donnie Trump
interaction in the White House or did you totally anticipate
that based on your experience working with Trump in the
White House.

So I did not think it would be hostile. I
did not think it would be like the Zelenski meeting.
I was surprised at just how cordial it was. But
then I sat back and I thought about it, and
I have watched this man, Donald Trump play four dimensional
chests constantly. He's not someone who can be you know, flattered.
You may think he's been flattered, and you know he's
praising someone. Because of that flattery, he always has a
(31:20):
plan to sit back, hang tight. I was surprised at
how complimentary it was. But you just wait, you just wait.
I noticed. I'll just say this, mom. Donnie was pressed
on whether Trump that I won't send federal troops to
your city, federal law enforcement, I should say, and he
would not say that. President Trump said that, So I
think there might have been some harsher words behind the scenes.
And you just wait see Trump's next chest move.

And I've checked it. I've asked friends. I said, am
I just feeling is just what you're feeling, And everybody's like, absolutely,
everything feels much safer, much calmer, especially on the roads.
So absolutely this was the right thing to do.
