Hour 1 of today’s Clay Travis & Buck Sexton Show dives into major breaking news and high-stakes political analysis. The lead story is the arrest of the alleged January 6th pipe bomber after a five-year FBI investigation. Clay and Buck break down what we know so far, including details about the suspect, speculation on motives, and the credibility challenges facing federal law enforcement. They discuss whether the FBI’s priorities under the Biden administration delayed this arrest and explore theories ranging from anarchist intent to possible false flag scenarios. The hosts also preview the upcoming FBI press conference and tease insights from Julie Kelly, who will join later in the program.

The conversation shifts to Capitol Hill hearings on U.S. military strikes against Venezuelan narco boats. Clay and Buck analyze testimony from an admiral confirming that survivors of the initial strike were still “in the fight,” countering claims of a war crime. They highlight how this narrative is evolving in the media and why Democrats’ messaging on this issue may backfire politically. The segment includes sharp commentary on the fentanyl crisis, the devastating ripple effects on families, and the urgent need for a real war on drugs. Listener calls and talkbacks add perspective, including strong reactions to cartel violence and the human toll of addiction.

Additional topics include President Trump’s decision to rename the U.S. Institute of Peace, Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro’s pointed remarks about Vice President Kamala Harris, and broader discussions on left-wing versus right-wing political violence. Clay and Buck also preview interviews with Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy and House Majority Leader Steve Scalise in Hour 2, promising deeper dives into these breaking stories.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody to the Thursday edition of the Clay Travis
en Buck Sexton Show. We are racked, we are stacked.
We got a lot of news to discuss with all
of you. And we've got some great guests lined up
to Sean Duffy, Transportation Secretary, and Congressman Steve Scalise in
the second hour. Much to discuss with them, so make

(00:22):
sure you stick around for that. But big news of
the day, first and foremost the DC January sixth pipe
bomber allegedly, this is the guy alleged pipe bomber has
been arrested. We will dive into this, a five years
long investigation.

Speaker 2 (00:43):
We will discuss this shortly.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
We also have top military officials up on Capitol Hill.
They are briefing members of Congress. It's closed doors. They're
briefing members of Congress though on the strikes on Narco
boats in the Caribbean, those Venezuelan Narco boats. We've also

(01:09):
got Trump changing the name of the Institute of Peace.
That's as less intense story.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
We can get to that in a bit.

Speaker 1 (01:17):
And Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania has some choice words for
Kamala Harris. We shall discuss all of this and more,
and of course gets you to weigh in with your
calls and talkback. So line those up now, get those going, Clay.
The big news today here is we'll play this news
by here. This is Fox News correspondent David Spunt on

(01:40):
the alleged pipe bombers arrest.

Speaker 2 (01:42):
Play cut one.

Speaker 3 (01:43):
We don't know the suspect's name or anything about this
person other than the fact this is a male that
was living in northern Virginia, arrested at some point within
the last ninety minutes. Now in federal custody. The suspect,
as I said, we're a face mast hooded, sweatshirt, glasses, gloves,
but using FBI T technology, agents told the public the
suspect they believe is around five foot seven inches. Over

(02:05):
the past four years, agents visited twelve hundred homes and businesses,
conducted more than one thousand interviews, reviewed approximately thirty nine
thousand video files, went through six hundred tips. It's notable
the reward bill in data was half a million dollars.

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Clay.

Speaker 1 (02:22):
The FBI is going to be holding a press conference
soon on this, so we will get a whole lot
more details. But there are some additional details swirling from
different news sources. Right now, this it feels like this
is well, let's just say a lot of FBI and

(02:42):
law enforcement credibility is at stake here on this arrest
because it took them five years. You'd like to think,
if this is the arrest they're making, they've got the guy.

Speaker 2 (02:52):
But we'll see. Yeah. Look, I was just on Fox News.
I was going to talk about a variety of other topics.
They're going to have a news conference on this, and
I ended up talking about this case, which has captivated
many different people out there. In fact, maybe we can
reach out to producer ally to Julie Kelly, who has
my experience, been covering this really really well over the

(03:17):
last five years. Who was the pipe bomber? What was
the motivation here? Young guy? Right buck? The reports are
that this individual who was arrested is thirty now, which
would have made him twenty five years old five years ago.
And there are reports if you watch, they are showing
the raid as it is occurring from a helicopter shot.

(03:38):
I would imagine above Woodbridge, Virginia. You worked in northern
Virginia for a while. Woodbridge is a pretty correct me
if I'm wrong, pretty high end ish area and this
home again it's on a cul de sac, looks like
there are reports that he may have been this individual
living at his parents' home, but looks to be fairly

(04:00):
high end in nature. In other words, we don't know
if he was living there at the time that this
incident would have happened. But look this, this to me
looks like a million dollar plus home, and you definitely
wonder again, what were the motivations of this guy, and

(04:22):
hopefully do they have the right guy. I would also
mention this, and I said this on Fox News just
a few minutes ago, those of you who were listening
last week, did we have Cash ptel on the Wednesday
before Thanksgiving? Right exactly basically eight days ago if I
remember correctly, and we're producer Greg is working to pull
the audio. Cash Patel said basically, Hey, buckle up. We

(04:47):
got a couple of things that were working on that
I expect are going to be occurring eminently. This for
many people, this case in particular, and I think he
probably was hinting that this case had heated up and
he thought that some was coming in an imminent nature.
This case, for many people out there has been an obsession.

(05:07):
I mean, it has been something that you know, there
are people out there who have spent inordinate amounts of time.
I'm talking about media, I'm talking about you know, just
people on social media accounts. This this pipe bomb connection
two jan sixth, and what exactly happened and who did
it and what their motivations are has been a fever

(05:31):
ish discussion point for five years now. I haven't we
haven't gotten into it a ton on this show, but
it has been there's a subset of the world out
there that has been very, very focused on this. Well.

Speaker 1 (05:43):
It was also very apparent, I think Clay that there
was an absolute spare no expense, all out mobilization of
the FBI under Biden, not really by Biden, he allowed it,
but by the people that were hand picked by the
Democrat apparatus to run things that there was this will

(06:05):
do anything to get anybody who was involved in January sixth,
even people that were entirely nonviolent. We're going to send
the FBI after them. We're going to track them down,
We're gonna use facial recognition, We're going to send a
tactical team into their home to make that arrest at
you know, five point thirty in the morning to scare
everybody in their home and in the neighborhood.

Speaker 2 (06:26):
But they couldn't find the guy that was leaving pipe
bombs out. That they couldn't find that guy. I mean,
this is yeah, that's the that's the that's the point
that has just a lot of people have said, wait
a minute, what's going on here?

Speaker 1 (06:40):
You're you're able to devote the resources in time to
track down somebody who walked into the capitol for less
than a minute and did nothing other than that, but
you weren't able to find this guy.

Speaker 2 (06:51):
Now, I know.

Speaker 1 (06:51):
People say, well, ah, but it's so hard given all
the resources they had, they had video of this individual.
Maybe if they hadn't take here Clay would be Maybe
if they hadn't been so hell bent on tracking down
everybody who was involved in even the most minor way
on January sixth, the Biden FBI might have been able

(07:11):
to find Ah. But did they want to find this individual?
I know that is the other question that many people.
Were they really that interested in finding this person? Is
the term false flag something that is going to be
used again in the near future. I mean, there's a
lot of stuff that this all brings together. I don't
want to get too far ahead of any of it,
even though this has been discussed for five years, Clay,
because I think the FBI press conference that's coming up

(07:33):
here is going.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
To tell us a lot.

Speaker 1 (07:35):
But you know, what's the I mean, what would be
the motivation? The motivation of this individual would have been.
Now you're talking about probably a crazy person at some level,
because you're leaving a pipe bomb that's aubolok in our
nation's capital. So we're you're already at a disadvantage because
you're trying to think like a crazy when you're not crazy.

Speaker 2 (07:53):
But what was what would be the idea here? You know,
what would be the motivation? It seems unlikely that there is. Look,
first of all, it could just be pure anarchy, right,
you know it's going to be a chaotic scene, and
you are just an anarchist I think psychologically. And there's

(08:14):
probably some people who are going to be living at home, Like,
what are you talking about if you're thirty? In a
general rule, if you are thirty and you still live
in mom and dad's house, maybe you haven't launched in
a way that maybe mom and dad would have hoped
maybe there are some extenuating circumstances there. We don't know

(08:35):
that he's been living there full time. But I think
most people when you're thirty, if you said, hey, what
is your ideal life path, and you ask people when
they're twenty, I don't think it would be I'll still
be living in my bedroom with mom and dad. My
point on that is when I hear thirty year old guy,
thirty year old guy who's living at home with his

(08:55):
mom and dad, I think internet nerd. I think someone
who is uh is this wrong? I mean a little harsh.

Speaker 1 (09:03):
So it claims being a little harsh here, Okay, you
know some people just like to be close to family.

Speaker 2 (09:08):
I'm thirty, thirty years old, dude, Like you're going out
to Applebee's and you're like trying to pick up a
girl and she's like, where are we gonna go? And
You're like, back to my bedroom at my mom and
dad's house. I there's a little bit of a failure
to launch there if you're thirty and you're still living
at home. And so when I hear uh, and by
the way, probably gonna get deluge now with thirty year
olds who live at home. But when I hear thirty

(09:30):
year old who lives at home alleged pipe bomber, I
think somebody who is steeped in internet world because they're
you know, that is what comes to mind with me.

Speaker 1 (09:41):
I think someone you're thinking left wing because this is
the night before January sixth, This seems to be because
to me, it's either left wing anarchist, burn it all down.
And again I'm surmising this is analysis. This is not reporting. Okay,
we're not saying this is fact. We're gonna find out
a lot more from the FBI. But if someone is
asking for my analysis or rather, I am off bring
it because that is what we are paid to do here.

(10:01):
Often it's either left wing anarchist clay from the from
the malcontent Antifa school of just I want to blow things.

Speaker 2 (10:11):
Up right before, right before the you.

Speaker 1 (10:15):
Know, January sixth festivities, or or I want to do something.
This guy wants to do something because he wants it
to be blamed on pro Trump forces, right those are
really that's my takeaway.

Speaker 2 (10:30):
There's no let's just put it this way. And again
we're trying to read into the tea leaves here. Is
there anything that would benefit Democrats from like the Democrat
perspective from bombs going off on January sixth, I think
most people would say no, right, like, there's nothing.

Speaker 1 (10:49):
And this is in advance of the riots to be
to everything that happened, to be clear, so it's not.

Speaker 2 (10:53):
Like, oh, add to that and it'll look even worse.
By the way, here's the cut Cash was on with
us lastlast week, November twenty six. This is the Wednesday
before Thanksgiving, cut thirty. He kind of hinted that something
like this might have been coming. Some of you may
remind it. Producer Greg pulled it. Let's listen to that
cut thirty.

Speaker 4 (11:13):
You're right.

Speaker 2 (11:13):
We've had a historic year.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
We've taken down twice as many violent fenders as last year.
Loan he's more phentanyl than ever before, struck a deal
with China to shut off fentanyl precursors, arrested more than
four hundred and ninety percent increase in seven sixty four
extremist those attempting to and violating our children's rights.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
And that's just the tip of the iceberg.

Speaker 5 (11:34):
This FBI is on fire, and clam Buck, we're not stopping.

Speaker 4 (11:37):
Wait till you see what we got coming up in
another week or two.

Speaker 2 (11:42):
Okay, wait till you see what we got coming up
in another week or two. I think Buck he probably
had a pretty good sense that they were getting close
on the pipe Bomber.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
I think the FBI director knew something about something, something
about something. Also wanted to come on the show right
before Thanksgiving, which you know is not usually when you'd
have a guest of that a stature necessarily because we
haven't had him on in months.

Speaker 2 (12:05):
So yeah, I think he knew something was coming.

Speaker 4 (12:09):
Fair.

Speaker 2 (12:09):
What time do we know? What time the press conference
is scheduled? Producer, producers, We'll dive into We'll dive into
that and maybe carry it live, because again we're trying
to paint the picture of what the motivation of this
guy might have been, especially as we have seen. I

(12:31):
think it's fair to say a long list of left
wing political violence that has all kind of come together
in that I know everybody wants to focus on what
happened to the Capitol on January sixth, but in terms
of actual different strings of violent murders and tempted murders,
there has been far more I think left wing violence

(12:53):
in the last several years than there has been right
wing violence. And we always say we don't want any
of you to be violent. We want you to be happy.
We want you to be happy warriors. But the motivations
here are going to be significant. It's the lead story.
Even MSNBC and CNN are now covering this as the
lead story in America right now. See you who listen
to the show, you're the good guys and gals, and

(13:14):
that's great. Unfortunately, there are people who are bad.

Speaker 1 (13:18):
And want to do violent things to you, and this
is why we want you to be able to defend yourselves. Now,
I understand this is a huge two a community. I'm
actually just getting a bunch of guns today from the
gun store, so that's a happy day for me. But
I also think that having non lethal options for self
defense makes a lot of sense, and especially for people
in your household who maybe aren't comfortable going for a

(13:41):
firearm early in a self defense situation. They want to
be able to have force escalation. There's a lot of
sense and having non lethal options to defend yourself and
this is where Saber comes in. Sabers Home Defense projectile
pepper spray launcher is a great example small enough to
hold in one hand and fire off a round projectile

(14:02):
full of pepper spray, which is really going to help
stop the threat in those critical first few moments when
someone's invading your home. Saber projectiles pack a serious punch,
easy to use, easy to understand, give you peace of
mind at homes. Saber is spelled Sabre. The website is
Saber radio dot com. That's Saber radio dot com. They've

(14:22):
safeguarded hundreds of thousands of Americans with their products. I
have in my home, so does Clay. It's a great
thing to get for yourself. Is a gift for the
holidays or for a loved one that you want to
help keep safe. Kerrie's also got their pepper gels and
their pepper sprays, and I like that she can carry
that around with her whenever she's out and not with me.
So go to go to Saber radio dot com or
call eight four four A two four safe eight four

(14:44):
four A two four safe.

Speaker 6 (14:46):
Making America great again isn't just one man, It's many.

iHeartRadio app or wherever you get.

Speaker 1 (14:59):
Your whether you're lighting a candle on the manora or
placing Baby Jesus in the Nativity. We hope your holiday
is full of grace, wonder and.

Speaker 2 (15:07):
Love and maybe even a little snow. Merry Christmas and
happy Honika from all of us at the Clay and
Buck Show pod guests. Welcome back in Clay Travis Buck
Sexton Show. By the way, Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy going
to join us at one and Steve Scalise from the

(15:27):
what is he the Whip the House Majority leader, second
in command to the Speaker. He will join us at
one thirty in the next hour. But major breaking news
and arrest of the alleged pipe bomber January sixth in Washington,
d C. Thirty two years old is the latest update.

(15:50):
I have seen reports that they were able to eventually
track him based on some of the documents that some
of the materials that he purchase that we're used to
make this pipe bomb. But again, there's going to be
a press conference in the near future. We should also update.
Maybe we can dive into this a little bit on
the backside, Buck, the Venezuela boat discussion that we had

(16:13):
a lot of discussion about on this program the second
strike and whether there were survivors. The admiral involved in
that strike has reportedly testified that there were two people
still alive on the boat, that they were trying to
salvage the drugs and potentially continue the mission that the

(16:36):
first strike was designed to stop, so some dedicated drug runners.
I gotta say, much of the reporting here and there's
evidently video to support this, has suggested that that was
not the case. But the testimony, again under oath from
the admiral. We will see what exactly is said as

(16:57):
that continues, but this idea that that there was a
significant war crime, it seems like the Washington Post may
have go figure with to a certain degree on this
story based on the testimony that is going on. Julie Kelly,
by the way, will join us, but not till two thirty.
That's good a couple of hours from now. She has

(17:18):
been covering this as aggressively just about as anyone out there.
Buck And there was a recent story where they thought
they had found the pipe bomber, a media story ended
up not being true. She weighed in a lot on
that as well. So by two thirty, that's a couple
hours from now, I would think we will have much
more information about the motivations and the individual who was

(17:41):
arrested here. So make sure that you stay tuned to us,
because that is going to be intriguing to see exactly
how all of that is shaking out. I want to
tell you Buck, as he gave up his ban card,
has been talking about how he loves to cuddle with
blankets to cover his toes.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
On Let's be fair, it was taken away by the truckers.
The truckers took away my man card for a day.

Speaker 2 (18:03):
I thought that was funny when you were like, hey,
I'm gonna go buy a bunch of guns. It feels
like a response to to blanket Gate. Buck's gonna be
buying a bunch of guns. But this is one hundred
percent true. Thanksgiving Week producer Ali just came back. She's
been out with her family. She said, I was I
was at Cozy Earth Blanket It's unbelievable. She didn't even know.
I said, my sister used this with our at our

(18:26):
house on Thanksgiving. She covered herself up. It was so
comfortable that she pulled out her phone, went on Amazon
and bought the exact same blanket without even knowing there
was a code she could have used if she went
to Cozy Earth for the best possible blankets, the most
comfortable blankets and cheets on the planet. Cozyearth dot com.

(18:49):
Cozy Earth, you get forty percent off everything right now
if you use my name, Clay. I had to tell
my sister. I was like, you didn't even use the code.
She didn't know, So you know, cozyerth dot com, you're
gonna love it. Go check out these blankets, most comfortable
blankets on the planet. Buck loves them. Cozyearth dot com
Code Clay. All right, welcome back in here to Clay

(19:10):
and Buck.

Speaker 1 (19:11):
So we've got much to discuss, my friends, including what's
going on on Capitol Hill here with the Venezuela boat strikes. Now,
we're gonna have more for you shortly on the FBI
arrest situation of the pipe bomber. We're following that story

(19:32):
as closely as we can. Everyone's essentially and wait and
c mode until this FBI press conference, this is gonna
be the next hour. We also have Secretary of Transportation
Duffy on uh and we're looking forward to that conversation.
So we got a lot and I think we have
Steve Scalise next hour, House Majority Leader Scalise, so we
got we got.

Speaker 2 (19:50):
A lot going on.

Speaker 1 (19:51):
We can talk to him about the pipe bomber for sure,
as well as you remember Steve Scalise, somebody who knows
left wing political islands all too well, as he had
to fight for his life after he was shot by
a maniac at a baseball field in Alexandria, Virginia who
was screaming this is for healthcare, right, and we all

(20:18):
remember that this is for healthcare and he's shooting at
people who are defenseless.

Speaker 2 (20:21):
After also, Buck remember asking are those republic Public Art
Democrats like because they were just playing baseball, you didn't
know who you know, they were warming up on a field.
It wasn't like you could really tell who they were, Yes, exactly.
So that's where we are on that story.

Speaker 1 (20:39):
We're waiting to hear more from the FBI, but we'll
speak to Steve Scalise about that. In the meantime. You
know that this has become now the primary.

Speaker 2 (20:47):
Attack on the administration.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
This is all the different anti Trump news outlets their
main thing that they are covering right now. Is this
in fact, it even overshadowed. You know, there were some
Epstein stuff that was released. Now nothing is some photos.

Speaker 2 (21:03):
Do you see this?

Speaker 1 (21:04):
Nobody even really paid very much attention to it in
the media. It wasn't anything of particular interest, be honest,
from what I saw. There's a lot more I think
that's coming out. But this is the story right now.
So here is is what is at issue, as we
have discussed. I believe in Clay has believed all along here,
based upon the facts as presented to us, that Secretary

(21:27):
Hegseeth and those below him in the chain of command
acted lawfully, okay. But there is also an understanding here
that there is a situation in which it is possible
that you can be in a situation where you cannot
just like finish off the survivors of a strike. That
is also a thing. I think both sides have agreed

(21:50):
on that, and I think that's important because I see
some people saying, if they were, you know, clinging to
wreckage and they were knocked out unconscious, we could just
mow them down. No, But if they were still in
the fight, meaning if they were still actively communicating with
the drug cartels, and trying to salvage the drugs and
trying to basically continue the mission. It is what it is,

(22:11):
and then you continue on. Here's ABC's Martha Radditz on
this play as she's obviously a Trump hater, but you know,
this is what she said.

Speaker 2 (22:18):
Play three tonight. New information.

Speaker 7 (22:20):
According to a source familiar with the incident, the two
survivors climbed back onto the boat after the initial strike.
They were believed to be potentially in communication with others
and salvaging some of the drugs. Because of that, it
was determined they were still in the fight and valid targets,
and JAG officer was also giving legal advice. So again, David,

(22:42):
that video will be key and Admiral Bradley will be
on the hill tomorrow behind closed doors.

Speaker 2 (22:49):
So they have released the video and if as has
been reported there that is true, this story's going to vanish.
So we'll see. There may be some dispute about what
in the fight still looked like and again how high
quality is the video version of this, But this would

(23:13):
seem to be a pretty clear validation of the decision
that was made, as well as legal having been there
and signed off. As you know, watching the incident, saying yes,
there's still enemy combatants, Yes you can take this action.
That seems to me to be kind of an open
and shut case. So we will see whether this starts

(23:37):
to vanish. What I would say is in the new
studio that I have here, buck the ability to drive
narrative on CNN or MSNBC, you can kind of judge
whether they think they got something. They're already pulling back
on their coverage of this strike now that the video's
out there, now that more details are being released, it

(24:00):
feels to me like the Washington Post story over promised,
the video has under delivered what they said it would,
and we're on to whatever the next controversy is inside
of the Trump administration.

Speaker 1 (24:15):
I think you said this earlier in the week, and
I believe it was astute observation that this is turning
into a little bit of a kilmar Abrego Garcia situation
for them, where the Democrats to people who are paying attention,
the Democrats are going to the mat in order to
take the side on these issues. I know they would

(24:37):
say of like the Geneva Conventions and human rights. But
if a drug car tells yes, which are killing last
year I think it was like eighty ninety thousand, that's right,
but something approaching one hundred. The worst years have been
in the low one hundred thousand range. It's far too
many people. And I also think it's important to remember
it's not just the people who die. Lives are shattered

(24:59):
just by the addiction defendantl Think about the families that
are destroyed, Think about the criminality, the criminal enterprises, the
drug turf wars that happen. We look at that number,
it's like looking at murders in a city. You know,
the murders give you a sense, but don't cover the
whole totality of Oh, this city has far too many
assaults and rapes and robberies and everything else going on.

(25:22):
The drug war isn't just about overdoses, although that's the
most you know, poignant and.

Speaker 2 (25:29):
Destructive aspect of it.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
There's a whole lot of other secondary effects that are
horrible and people are tired of it. At my point here, Clay,
is that once again you have democrats who are.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
Like, hold on, we need to make sure it's not
so hard for the cartels to bring the drugs into America.
That's you're being too harsh.

Speaker 1 (25:46):
With the cartels, and a lot of Americans are saying, nah,
I don't.

Speaker 2 (25:51):
Know about that. Who you pick as your face of
any argument is huge, And again I said, the you know,
the plaintiff, the name plainiff in a case is always
a huge part for anybody out there that files a
lawsuit class action. They try to find the most sympathetic
plaintiff out there, the one that is going to pull

(26:13):
at the heartstrings, that is going to make people say,
wait a minute, are we really doing the right thing here?
And we told you part of the deportation of illegal immigrants,
they are going to focus on the mom, the little
girl that the heart string issues. But then they blew it.
Then they were like, hey, actually, do you know how
aggressive this thing is. Kilmar Abreo Garcia a human trafficking

(26:37):
drug smuggling illegal who his wife had to call the
police on because he was allegedly beating her up. He's
being forced out of the country and people are like, yeah, okay,
and it didn't really land. And now Democrats are going
to make the face of Trump's combat combating of illegal
drugs coming into the country. A couple of narco terrorists

(27:01):
in Venezuela who we were too mean to there's a
tough sell. Remember or was it Linda who called in?
Uh that? Linda's like were they were?

Speaker 1 (27:10):
They floating around with little floaties like in a pool.

Speaker 2 (27:13):
Blow them up, take them out.

Speaker 1 (27:16):
I don't care when he's like on the oh, they're
doing a backstroke. I saw a backstroke. Yeah, another missile,
another missile.

Speaker 2 (27:25):
Wax them and everybody. I don't even think anybody came
like everybody was in Linda's defense. We got loaded. I
don't think we should go track down some of those talkbacks,
but it looks like Linda's being vindicated here. Wax. I
gotta say, we did.

Speaker 1 (27:39):
I did not get I did not see and we
This is the great thing you guys, you're you're all
a part of the conversation whenever you send in a
talkback and email or even just talk to producer Greg
if you want to get online. Because that all gets
Clay and are talking about in the breaks. We read it,
we see it. I don't think I saw anybody who
was calling out Linda, like you know what I'm saying.

Speaker 2 (27:57):
Nobody was like how dushey? A lot of people like
Conna with Linda. Yeah, No, I think it is really
very funny in many ways that the things that they
think are going to rally their base actually often rally
the Trump base instead. And part of it is just
not understanding basic narrative. And I've talked about this for

(28:20):
a long time. If you are a student of history,
this is obviously what sixty seventy years ago now. But
they waited on the Montgomery bus boycotts until they had
the right face of the Montgomery bus boycotts, which was
Rosa Parks. If you go back and study that era,

(28:41):
they actually arrested a young single mother who refused to
give up her seat before Rosa Parks did it, and
the civil rights leaders, including Martin Luther King Junior, said no, no, no,
the single mom who is unmarried is not the right
face of the boycott. We want Rosa Parks to be

(29:02):
the face of this boycott. So she wasn't even the
first who refused to give up her seat. That turned
into the beginnings of the civil rights movement in the South.
Back in Montgomery, Alabama, in the day, they looked at it,
and they were waiting for what they thought was the
most sympathetic plaintiff, the best face of their of their
argument that they could find. And I just I look

(29:24):
at some of this stuff and I just say, who
is making these decisions on messaging for the Democrat Party?
They're really just poor at even making the cases that
they're trying to make.

Speaker 1 (29:35):
And sometimes you just gotta bring in somebody like Linda
is gonna say, light them up, light them up, that's it.
I've had enough of these clowns.

Speaker 2 (29:46):
You know. This is also soundly at night.

Speaker 1 (29:50):
We sleep soundly at night because Linda stands on that wall,
smoking that stogy saying enough's enough.

Speaker 2 (29:56):
Colonel Linda jessup out there. We talked about this before.
Who's tougher. Who's tougher in your house? In discipline? You
or your wife? Oh it's not it's not even not
even close. It's the Carrie Is way.

Speaker 1 (30:07):
And this is also dealing like with anyone who's trying
to play any funny business with us, like a contractor
or something comes up. I just kind of want to
always pull them aside and be like, look, you really
want to deal with me?

Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah you don't. You don't want me to bring you
don't hear you carry you? I am the softie in
this house. If you you do not want Laura as
the on the wall making decisions you don't want to be.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
I'm the hoshtas negotiator Carrie. Carrie is the CT team
that goes in with flash bangs, like it's just a
different deal. You want to deal with me if you miss.

Speaker 2 (30:40):
The Linda who people love, and Linda may be listening
right now, Linda, we will play what she said as
she is now being vindicated. But she was fine even
you know, like like Buck said that these guys could
have been uh you know with the floating around on
noodles with with nothing left. She's like, just wax them.
But we'll have some fun. We'll play that week, all right.

Speaker 2 (32:05):
All right, welcome back into Clay and Book.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
We're talking Narco votes here and the explosions thereof. And
just a reminder, because we've been referring, we love Linda
by the way, one of our esteemed and wonderful listeners.
We had some fun with her yesterday and I think
a lot of people really enjoy her perspective.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Here she is. This was our caller thirty two, who.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
Cares about the two guys in the water. They were
bad guys.

Speaker 2 (32:31):
Light them up. She's also also thirty one. Linda is
going to be elected. I don't remember what state Linda's in,
but she's about to be elected statewide. There cut thirty
one as well. Light them up. Let me play Devil's
advocate here. If if it were to be reported and
confirmed that the narco terrorists, which I agree are bad guys,

(32:54):
were floating in the water and we ordered a helicopter
to go in and to mow them down as they
floated in the water, you wouldn't have an issue with that.

Speaker 4 (33:06):
I wouldn't have an issue with that at all.

Speaker 1 (33:10):
She's ready to dunk their heads under the water herself. Yeah,
Linda would jump out, yeah, and hold them under the water,
let them till they stopped kicking. He's almost to be
a spotter for Seal Team six. Who knew here we go.

Speaker 2 (33:23):
We got podcast listener josh Ee play it.

Speaker 9 (33:26):
Hey, Yeah, I'm with Linda. I am with Linda. The
bad guy needs to be dealt with. And this is
coming from somebody who has more felonies than Buck sect
is years old. I got caught up on drugs and
went around stole a bunch of stuff, so they got
like twenty charges on me at one time. But yeah,
I'm with Linda.

Speaker 2 (33:46):
What a pivot? What a pivot on that talk back?
Halfway through he's all in on Linda. Twenty felony charges.
He went away for a while that I did not
see that. That's twenty second talkback. That was a that
was a whole.

Speaker 1 (34:00):
Like he told me, there packed a lot of He
packed a lot in there. I got to give him
full credit.

Speaker 2 (34:04):
Angela. And Pennsylvania wants to talk to us, what's going on? Angela?

Speaker 4 (34:09):
Sure, the hi there. The real victims are all the
kids that are sitting in the foster care system because
their parents are addicted or their parents are dead, or
we can go ahead and talk about the kids that
die or almost die because they ingest the illegal drugs
that their parents take, or the kids that die because
their parents overdose and die and the kids die because

(34:30):
they don't have care and they're not fast in time.

Speaker 1 (34:33):
Angela, look totally, I totally agree with you, And that's
why I was saying, we talk about overdose debts. But
the overdose debts are that then there's ripple effects off
of each one of those deaths that devastates a family,
a community, a city, in our case, a country. So
once you start to really calculate all of this, we

(34:54):
do need a real war on drugs.

Speaker 2 (34:56):
Thank you for the call, Angela. That's important. I also
always want to point this out because I've heard from
several parents who have come up and talked to me
about this. So many of the people you said eighty
ninety thousand, which is an unbelievable number. I mean, that's
five times as many people basically as get murdered. That's
over half twice as many people as die in traffic

(35:17):
accidents every year. Contextualizing it, First of all, many of
them are relatively young, so they have a lot of
lives years of life left. Second, and this is super important.

Speaker 1 (35:27):
Eighty thousand, by the way, is the eighty thousand, three
hundred and ninety one and twenty twenty four keep going.
Many of them are being poisoned because they are not
intending to be taking the drug, even that kills them.
One of the devastating things about fentanyl in particular, if
you talk to people is you can think, and this
is why you need to talk to all your kids

(35:47):
and your grandkids. You can think you're using a quote
unquote party drug, right. You can think you're using cocaine.
You can think you're a building like I can think
you're clay. You can think you're using something made by
Pfizer like I don't know who makes Xanax or whatever,
which is the brand name. You can think you're taking
a prescription benzo. And so these kids, and I say kids,

(36:09):
they're young people. Overwhelmingly they aren't even consenting to use
the drug that kills them. They don't know because they
are being poisoned. And so we talk about overdoses, and
a lot of times overdoses we can conceptualize in our head,
oh that's a drug addict. Oh that's someone who's using
drugs regularly. This can be a kid who goes to

(36:31):
a party and just takes the wrong pill, doesn't even
know what he or she is consuming, and it's been
laced with fentanyl, and they die. And so many of
these deaths tragic. They're not even necessarily all drug addict deaths.
It can be casual party drugs that just have gone wrong.
You got to talk to your kids about the dangers

(36:52):
here of the choices that they're making and the consequences
that can emerge from them. When we come back, we'll
talk with Transportation sect Terry Sean Duffy about many of
the issues going on in the country from his perspective,
plus Steve Scalise our two.

Speaker 2 (37:06):
That's next.
