and then I kind of got spooked back into it
real quick. So Fante does man fand does bonus. Betsy
started flying all over the places, like hitting the jackpot
every single weekend, streaming to night.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Speaking of the time power Ball boys billion, yeah, billion, three.

Speaker 1 (02:37):
Billion right now, I believe the lump Sun payout is
five hundred and eighty three million dollars.

Speaker 3 (02:42):
I mean, you know, yeah, I think that's what it is, right,
texting talking about what we're gonna buy if we win.

Speaker 1 (02:50):
Dude, we were texting about it, because that's that was
is what would he do anything for? No, Well, because
I saw I was driving on the highway and I
saw the power Balls at one point one, and so
that night was Saturday. I texted clam buddy, it might
be time put on.

Speaker 3 (03:03):
I got two tickets. I already had twenty dollars worth,
but we came up Sure, I got two numbers, right though,
So that's you know, I'm thinking maybe we could this
next time.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
It'll so when.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
I haven't done the power Ball thing, does it happen
like they do the balls and stuff?

Speaker 1 (03:15):
Like everything I'm well every Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday night. Actually, wait,
as we were talking, I was like googling it and
they have like the whole thing. We're like, they have
the ball that's rolling around and it comes down like
first numbers five.

Speaker 4 (03:26):
The old school way.

Speaker 1 (03:27):
Yeah, but there was like ten tickets.

Speaker 4 (03:30):
Nobody won. Nobody, not the jackpot, not the jacket.

Speaker 3 (03:33):
A few people have won like either five numbers, four numbers,
but not not the tickets.

Speaker 1 (03:37):
One million dollars in this last one, which was Monday night,
and then I think two won two million dollars. But
at one point three.

Speaker 5 (03:44):
And it just keeps going up. Somebody just keeps in
a reset.

Speaker 3 (03:47):
Right now, is like the fourth or fifth largest jack
bar right now?

Speaker 1 (03:51):
Buddy, Yeah, it was crazy. My wife, My wife just
got back from Canada. We were talking about it last
night and I was like, it might be time to
like try to make it an investment on this, like
go in with like a thousand, you know, like why not,
like you might have to go in responsibly. And she's like,
I was looking at it. It's like the lump sum.
So it's one point three. The lump sum is five
eighty three million. But then you get tax again. So

(04:13):
really your payout it's three hundred and seventy one well
tax in Tennessee federal tax. The federal gets this as well.

Speaker 3 (04:21):
It's it is a scam the fact that we pay
into this and then they tax on on this before
you get it. So that's why, see, I'd rather take
the lump sum and invest it. I got a good
team around me. You know, you want to take that
thirty year payout. You'll get more money, but they're holding
on to the money. They're just letting me in a
crew and their interest, so you're getting a chill.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
I'll tell you how far I went is I looked
at the loves it was just like three seventy one
one is after taxes and everything. If I put that
in a five percent non tax i bond, it's eighteen
point seventy five million dollars a year tax free. You're sitting,
you're chilling.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
But what's more fun than how much you can make
is what would be your first purchase. That's what I'd
like to know from the boys. We talked about, Hey,
golf Stream buying some property. What would be your first purchase?
Now you can tell me about you and Charles, you know,
you know, like you're not gonna tell anybody.

Speaker 1 (05:13):
I think that's the first question is who you are?
Who are you telling if you win the lot.

Speaker 4 (05:16):
I'm not telling nobody, but win.

Speaker 3 (05:19):
A secret to the financial team, get our ducks in
a row.

Speaker 2 (05:23):
But you're saying if I win one point, they probably
get a jet.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
Enthusiasm on the show.

Speaker 4 (05:33):
Like what type of jet are we talking at?

Speaker 1 (05:34):
Like big guy?

Speaker 4 (05:36):
Yeah, all right, okay, golf.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Shame if that's a big one, six fifty or seven hundred,
what are we thinking?

Speaker 1 (05:44):
Seven sounds like a bigger number.

Speaker 5 (05:46):
Give me the bigger one.

Speaker 1 (05:47):
Got the bed in that thing?

Speaker 3 (05:49):
A couple of TV probably starling, yeah gotta.

Speaker 1 (05:55):
If I won the lottery, I would tell nobody, just
my wife. I probably fly my financial team have signed
n d A and then tell him what happened. And
then I'd probably sell my house and get a smaller house.
So people are like, I must be up a tailor.
I think I don't know if he's doing okay, And
then there would be signs I would have a go through.

Speaker 4 (06:11):
Would you tell the boys?

Speaker 1 (06:13):
Probably not. We would know though, just g No, I'd
be still be every day because when we were texting
about I'm not telling anybody. I'm like, yo, that's not
my personality at all. My personality would for sure.

Speaker 4 (06:30):
Do something Vegas.

Speaker 3 (06:33):
I'm already at.

Speaker 1 (06:36):
Vegas, million on this million on it if we let me, like.

Speaker 4 (06:42):
If I was to win the lottery. First off, I'm
gonna wear a mask.

Speaker 6 (06:44):
You ain't even gonna know it's me when I go
on TV to get the check, I wear a white
person mask.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
What's a white person mask? And then he get painted like.

Speaker 6 (06:59):
And then I'm not telling anybody. Obviously my girl I
live with her, she gonna know. And then uh, nobody else,
you know, I'm not telling my family members nothing because
they all gonna have their handout.

Speaker 4 (07:10):
But what are you buying though, super I'm buying a
super yacht.

Speaker 6 (07:14):
Yeah, I'm gonna keep it, and I'll keeping it Bahamas
and we'll fly there so nobody will know. You know,
you'll never see it. You'll never see me on it
when I want to go there. We fly to the Bahamas,
We still on the yacht.

Speaker 1 (07:24):
Would you still do the walk?

Speaker 4 (07:26):
Of course, I'm not gonna change via zoom anything, change
the change. Just a super yacht, it's a supersup. Everything
else I'm good with I just need a super yacht
by you're on island, like like, I ain't even know.

Speaker 6 (07:39):
I ain't on No, I ain't no walker.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
He did get off, So you're on the side that
I ain't say. I don't know. I don't know. I
don't know what happened. I don't know what took place.
You know, maybe uh jack No.

Speaker 1 (07:54):
We're getting off. We're getting off the relay.

Speaker 2 (07:59):
But speaking of jackpot, there is an anytime touchdown jackpot happened,
and every is a Thursday with the Fando sportsbook.

Speaker 5 (08:06):
Two million dollars jackpot.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
You get the correct touchdown winner, you split the you
split the jackpot, you split the way two million.

Speaker 5 (08:13):
Yes, bro, we hit.

Speaker 1 (08:14):
The million one March madness. That's it. Uh, there was
a million everybody.

Speaker 2 (08:21):
Everybody, everybody who hits it, they split, they split.

Speaker 6 (08:25):
Remember that I was here with that mcne McNee.

Speaker 4 (08:35):
That put it live.

Speaker 1 (08:38):
NFL Week one, Before we get into it, talk to
me about the jitters. You have Week one of the
NFL season.

Speaker 4 (08:44):
Man, it's crazy like playing jitters. Yeah, man, god damn yeah,
it's it's the it's probably the worst Week one jitters
because you know, you don't know what, what's what's going
to happen? You expecting the team to be great, but
you know they're shitty and you're going out there.

Speaker 6 (09:00):
You gotta put your put the team on your back.
You know that shit is nerve wracking because you got
to show up, you know what I mean? Like, man,
you we had to.

Speaker 4 (09:07):
Show up.

Speaker 3 (09:11):
Any when you but I bet you expectations were different
from when you played for the forty nine Ers versus Titans,
I know, for you know, playing in Green Bay every
year was kind of super Bowl or bus When you
had Aaron Rodgers as your quarterback and you had the
pieces we had every year was like all right, this
is our especially you know, winning the Super Bowl in
twenty ten my second year and then just twenty eleven
fifteen to one. You figured the next year it was

(09:32):
gonna be the next year. So expectations were always just
like all right, here we go again.

Speaker 4 (09:38):
But it was exciting.

Speaker 3 (09:39):
It's an exciting time and I still get those like
the training camp you know in August is in the air.
I know we're in the September now, but like it's exciting.
I'm happy to be a fan now. You know, all
that anxiety nerves and whatnot are calmed down a little bit,
but yeah, there's something in the air.

Speaker 5 (09:54):
Week one, I was in fight or flight the entire time.

Speaker 2 (09:58):
There's just a situation. Yeah, it's like, okay, you know,
my first year, I was on peace squad. Second year
when I made the team, I'm thinking, like, you gotta
I gotta get a tackle. I got you gotta make
a player. You can get cut. Like when I became
the starter, it's like, I gotta play at the level
to keep my job. I can't get injured. If you're injured,
you gotta play through injured because you never want to
be off the field for somebody else to like overtake
your spot with the Titans. I remember going into Week

(10:21):
one in twenty eighteen, I was playing both like the
mic and MO. They called the week side the MO
by the kind of know both spots. The entire week
I was playing MO, and then on the walk through
Saturday before the game, Coach Tide comes up to me.
He's like, hey, you gotta you gotta do the mic
the mic spot this week, which the mic is what
I did training campaign. I was doing the MO studying

(10:43):
for the Texans the entire time then you flip the mic.
So I was just in fire or Flight basically my
entire career, except for the last few years when I'm
kind of, well.

Speaker 1 (10:51):
You were playing for fun.

Speaker 2 (10:52):
Yeah, Like when I'm playing, of course, yeah, of course
I'm playing to half fun.

Speaker 5 (10:55):
But I'm just saying like you're.

Speaker 3 (10:56):
Just yeah, yeah, because you know we have an energy
a we'll see week one yeah, where hey we need
you back out.

Speaker 2 (11:03):
Yeah, the couple of years where I got to sit
out the fourth preseason, like you're flying high, You're feeling good,
You're you're like grateful, You're like, oh fuck, this is awesome.
But like all the other years besides, like the last
couple when I just felt like I was playing with
house money, where it's like, I'm just going to enjoy
playing this game since I loved it so much growing up.
But the anxieties and everything and stress that comes with it,
that shit is real.

Speaker 4 (11:24):
Yeah, No, it's real.

Speaker 1 (11:25):
I'm I'm via stories like the rookies that are going
in the Week one because they're just so excited, Like
when my first year at the Titans, it's like we
end up going too and fourteen, but like in camp,
I'm like, you know, we could win the super Bowl,
Like this is gonna be amazing. I have no idea
about the talent level we have or anything. We go
in the first game against Kansas City beat their ass
twenty fourty ten. I'm like, yo, we got a fucking
squad out here, and then we don't want another games
like week not. But like as a rookie, when you're

(11:47):
playing as a rookie, you're just like, yo, this is amazing.
I'm I'm playing in the NFL. Like you have like
an okay game, a bad game, it's like, or I
can work on that, but like this is fucking dope.

Speaker 2 (11:57):
And everybody on your team's like a great player. Like
everybody your team's like a good player. You play against
other punchy like, yeah, they're pretty.

Speaker 1 (12:03):
When we're having this like small conversation on this thing
about your career and like you're at USC where it's
like you guys are gonna win ten eleven games every
single year, and then you go to the Packers and
it's like you guys are to win your division every
single year. With Aaron Rodgers, he kind of had a
luxury of knowing you're always gonna win.

Speaker 3 (12:19):
Yeah, no, I mean it's yeah, it's nice having a quarterback.
I learned that, you know, drafted with Aaron as a quarterback,
Like you just you take it for granted. I think
the Packers fan base takes that for granted as far
to Rogers to love, but ultimately for me, like I
didn't even going to the Rams my last year year eleven,
I had Jared Goff who's still playing at a high level,

(12:42):
but he wasn't Aaron Rodgers, and I was like, wow,
I miss Aaron, Like he's that good and he can
get you to the next level. But yeah, I mean,
so much of your success based on the whether it's tackle,
tight end, linebacker, is based on quarterback play in some
of these skilled positions. So yeah, I was fortunate in
that regard. I played for you know too great a
great program, great or organization, and we just had great
pieces in place to get us to the next level.

Speaker 4 (13:03):
Especially coaching too. You had a long time coach Bay
as well, so that goes along with I remember.

Speaker 2 (13:09):
When your defense was just you guys are the topic.
Obviously you had Aaron Rodgers, but just the topic of
conversation because of Lebo and all the different things that
you guys did dom Caper.

Speaker 3 (13:21):
Yeah it was.

Speaker 2 (13:21):
But it was the year where you guys played. It's
like the defenses. You guys played against each other and
talked about the schematics and how you guys did everything
under the sun.

Speaker 5 (13:29):
You were having basically everybody on the line of scrimmage.

Speaker 3 (13:31):
Standing up, psycho personality, one line man running around.

Speaker 4 (13:36):
Yeah, it was.

Speaker 3 (13:37):
It was fun, beautiful. Let's get at the games.

Speaker 1 (13:40):
Let's enjoy this. Let's enjoy this.

Speaker 3 (13:41):
Can we enjoy something real quick? Before ut? So, I just,
you know, I know these might be banned by the NFL,
but I figured i'd uh, you know, bring.

Speaker 4 (13:53):
Oh why you got these?

Speaker 3 (13:57):
Don't worry about don't worry about this said, this is
the greatest wake years.

Speaker 5 (14:05):
Boys.

Speaker 1 (14:06):
Make all of our picks go in our favor.

Speaker 7 (14:08):
Hey, no one, Yes, Cheefs charges Brazil.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
Yeah, Chiefs favored by three. The over under on this
game forty six and a half. De Landy will start
with you.

Speaker 3 (14:28):
Yeah, okay, right one didn't know I heard I heard both.

Speaker 4 (14:36):
I think I'm blind. Oh okay, I see here's the
game here.

Speaker 1 (14:40):
Put him in here.

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Oh you're here. Yeah, I'm gonna get one more.

Speaker 5 (14:46):
There wasn't one.

Speaker 4 (14:49):
Just they just squeeze it. Sorry, hold on, fuck, let's
get it cracking.

Speaker 3 (14:59):
Don't addition, I was just still watering before subscribe, before
hitting out, before heading out. When that first defensive series
after kickoff will go down to kick off kick off?

Speaker 1 (15:15):
That right there, I guess all the nerves like go
away before every single drop. Yeah, where the turners come up?

Speaker 4 (15:25):
Why why ban that?

Speaker 1 (15:26):
Though? That like wakes us up.

Speaker 3 (15:29):
That's what they're banning the supply.

Speaker 5 (15:32):
But we can get it, basically, what did That's what.

Speaker 4 (15:35):
You gotta be.

Speaker 3 (15:36):
You gotta bring yourself so yeah, yeah, you gotta bring it.

Speaker 1 (15:39):
You might be a little confidence locker room glue guy, right.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
You gotta bringing yourself.

Speaker 1 (15:46):
Your division. I know handed can backer from me and
the landing. That's all you get it from us.

Speaker 2 (15:55):
Will brings next week the expectation he's sitting for, he's
hitting for. These intros have to come with something every week. Expectation.

Speaker 1 (16:03):
Yeah, goddamn win up an episode to bring you michelob
Ultra brought to you by Michel Bulshu Superior light beer.
The delicious taste of victory deserves something equally superior. Cheer
on your team with Michelo Ultra at two point six
carbs and ninety five calories. It's a superior smooth taste
worth playing for. Mikeelob ultra superior light beer chiefs the
Chargers to playing in Brazil. You already went over this.

(16:24):
Kansas City's favored by three total points in that game
is forty six and a half. The laning.

Speaker 4 (16:28):
Welly all know what time it is.

Speaker 6 (16:29):
Man, don't play with me, bro, I'm bringing belt to
ass all week. Every week, I'm going Chargers money.

Speaker 3 (16:36):
Oh WHOA, I thought I thought we were I thought
you were going with cheese with that.

Speaker 1 (16:39):
That's what I'm saying, asked the Charges money line plus
one forty two in the FANDUL Sportsbook. Can I tell
you something? Yeah, last year, every pick you make your moving.
You're taking the favorite, and they're moving the line to
make it a little bit better for you. So you
have like minus three hundred odds coming out like this.
I don't know if it's the salts or the attitude,
but something strange.

Speaker 4 (16:57):
Hey, you know what I'm saying. I'm all about belt
to add. I'm telling y'all this Belta ass this year,
belt t Ass, I'm not playing all my picks for
me it's gonna be great. I'm just saying, so you're
gonna so you're gonna go with I'm doing Chargers.

Speaker 6 (17:11):
And the only reason why I'm going Chargers against the
Chiefs is because last year they allowed the fewest points
in the NFL under Jesse uh Mentor. And now you
got Khalil Mack and Don James coming back leading that defense.
They're gonna be physical like always, especially under Jim Harrorball.
I know what they're gonna bring. Like I said, I
coached with them last year, so I'm excited to see

(17:31):
what they do.

Speaker 4 (17:32):
They're on offense. You got Lad mcconkeye. Oh yeah, white
white team.

Speaker 6 (17:37):
Player went nuts last year, breakout as a rookie. We're
trying to see this dude step that up this year.
Adding Keenan Allen to help him. That's big. Justin Herbert,
I I mean, y'all know what he can do. He
can run, he can throw the ball. The guy's exciting
on the field. Quarterback top five. I've done said this
how many times and I beat you know, I bet
we want.

Speaker 1 (17:58):
He said in that chair last year and you go
about quarterbacks, nothing talking about Apparently he knows a little
something about quarterback.

Speaker 4 (18:03):
You was right on the absolutely and I was right
on bot Remember I was right about the Chargers game
till we bet that game.

Speaker 1 (18:09):
And you might have been right about the Chargers game.
But being the top five quarterback, you're not like that's you.

Speaker 6 (18:13):
So he not a tough Let's not get off Let's
not get off topic. And for the last reason good
quarterback is because they do have a top defense, right
and that defense is going to disrupt stop that rhythm
of the Chiefs. If they could do that, it's gonna
be a game. And I feel like the Chargers is
gonna come off the top. That's why I'm taking their
money on.

Speaker 3 (18:32):
I respectfully disagree in your opinion. Now, this is a
great AFC West Divisional matchup. Last two games last year
under hardball decided by one touchdown or less. However, the
Chargers did not eclipse one hundred yards rushing in both
of those games. So what do they do this offseason?
They go out, they get Najie Harris, they get O Marion.

(18:54):
It's got some great singles, by the way, you know
what I'm saying, Uh, damn, you can't joke like that?

Speaker 1 (19:03):
Why not?

Speaker 5 (19:05):
You can't learn from jp P.

Speaker 1 (19:06):
You know it is true?

Speaker 5 (19:09):
Is true?

Speaker 4 (19:10):
Yeah, you're right? Stay away from five works, okay, be safe?
All right?

Speaker 3 (19:13):
But or okay, didn't clips one hundred yards? They go
and get him, But I don't think that's gonna be
the difference. I see the shuffled Chargers offensive line with
Slater out moving all over Pipkins. You bring in Makay Deckton.
I see Chris Jones or Carl lockt this if I
can get that name correct, making some type of big play, sack,
forced fumble to separate this game, winning by one possession,

(19:37):
one score again, I take the Chiefs start off.

Speaker 4 (19:39):
One to know?

Speaker 3 (19:40):
Oh want to know?

Speaker 1 (19:42):
I love to break down my book.

Speaker 4 (19:43):
You taking money line or a spread I'm gonna take.

Speaker 5 (19:47):
We're picking the game, we're picking the spread.

Speaker 1 (19:50):
We're picking the spread. We're picking you want to go
money line trying to get him?

Speaker 5 (19:56):
You're trying to get him to be that money line
Delaney on the favorites.

Speaker 1 (19:59):
Yeah, yeah, Clay. I love the breakdown by both of
you guys. Phenomenal stuff. The only thing I have to
do is back up with a little bit of data
right here, I mean Week one Kansas City Chiefs away
games they're six and oh against the spread. That's what
the Internationally, they're three and oh against the spread as well.
Chargers they're zero and three against the spread. Everything you said,
everything you said, give me the Chiefs covera this game.

Speaker 2 (20:23):
Jim Harball is five and oh against the spread home Openers.
I like the Chargers there, first in points on defense
last year, first in the red zone on defense last year.
Where I see an issue for Kansas City. He's not
having Rashi Rice. He's under a suspension right now. And
when you look at their line of scrimmas, they had
a lot of problems last year. Mahomes was sacked the
most in his career, and on the left side they

(20:44):
didn't do a whole lot. You got what's his name,
Josh Simmons. He was the second rounder that they picked,
and then you have a second year player at the
left guard spot. I still see the Chargers being able
to expose that left side of line of scrimmage. I
see the Chiefs having problems. I like the Chargers in
this game. I like the Chargers plus three with the points.

(21:04):
I also think this is a heavy week one NFL
under week oh.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
I think under Onders you can go almost across the board.
I love everything he said. Chargers are technically the home
team that they are playing in Brazil, right right, yea,
they are playing in Brazil, and I think they lost
Joe Toney as well.

Speaker 5 (21:20):
That's not are you you were talking? We were talking
about the Chargers, are you saying, Rashaan Slater?

Speaker 1 (21:25):
No, yeah, exactly they yeah.

Speaker 3 (21:29):
Yeah, all right, yeah, forgot about that one. Okay, down
the middle, flit down the middle.

Speaker 8 (21:34):
I like that.

Speaker 1 (21:35):
I like that's gonna pull us. I like it a lot.
All right, I'll go, I'll do it.

Speaker 4 (21:40):
Let's see.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
I'm sorry them smelling saw its kind of yeah yeah,
leaking out up here and felt it again.

Speaker 1 (21:48):
I kind of stared for a minute. Are at the Seahawks.
The Seahawks are favored by two and a half points.
Total points in that game is forty three and a half.
I think the biggest question mark around the forty nine
ers and white people are down on them. As they were,
they didn't do a great job of stay healthy. They
lost a couple of defensive linemen. This year, they're healthy.
Christian McCaffrey is back. I know they lost Deebo Samuel,

(22:10):
but I'm a believer in brock perty not only on
the field, but off the field. I thought it was
a little Western commercial while he was dancing up and down.
I can get behind that kind of personality, kind of
making fun of yourself a little bit. I like them
going into Seattle. I liked them playing against that stubborn defense.
I like them covering that spread.

Speaker 4 (22:26):
I'm with you, Taylor.

Speaker 1 (22:28):
I mean Clay might be partnering up the whole week.

Speaker 3 (22:31):
So if we look at last year, they split the games,
I was without CMC. I like the fact we talk
about health. This is the healthiest date they're going to
be all season.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
You got Brock.

Speaker 3 (22:40):
They paid the man. He's going to continue to live
up to those expectations. Organization puts all the trust in him. Kittle.
CMC is Duan Jenn explaining he's back from Yeah. If
I know there's a contract issue, I still hurt. I
think he's coming off at ACL. I don't want to.
I don't wanna, Uh, buddy, who got out lot Pierce
All he's playing No, no, no, no, I'm talking about

(23:04):
the receiver Ricky Pierson, Florida guy. They're gonna expect big
things out of him. Could you lose Deebo Samuel. But
nonetheless I give the advantage to the forty nine's because
they have the superstar advantage. It's gonna be tough going
to Seattle, but I see a healthy forty nine Ers
team hard to beat.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
See. I like that.

Speaker 6 (23:23):
You say that, but you gotta remember Seattle had shut
down corners in safety last year. They were ranked probably
in the top ten within the top ten. You got
rig Wooden Walling, he had fourteen pass breakups, three interceptions.
You got Julian Love one hundred and nine tackles, twelve breakups,
three interceptions, two forced fumbles.

Speaker 4 (23:43):
Those boys are gonna be out there trying to compete.

Speaker 6 (23:46):
Like you said, they do have a high power offense
on the forty nine Ers, so you got to have
a high power defense.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
And then you have the.

Speaker 6 (23:52):
Linebackers they had, I want to say they defense. Seattle
defense was top in the top ten, ranked number five.
So those boys are not playing. They're coming after this boys.
It's gonna be a matchup. They play at the twelfth
Man Stadium where you you've been there before.

Speaker 3 (24:07):
Yeah, you know what it is, like what it's about.

Speaker 6 (24:09):
I'm just saying it's gonna be a tough atmosphere for
those boys. So I'm going with the Seattle Seahawk.

Speaker 5 (24:15):
The dogs at home.

Speaker 4 (24:16):
I'm going with the dogs.

Speaker 2 (24:17):
Yeah, I feel like you're getting the Legion of Boom
era of defense mixed up with last year's defense. Last year,
Seattle was twenty seventh against the run. They were thirty
first in third down with forty nine ers being healthy.
This year, obviously everybody is aware of Shanahan's creativity their
run game. I feel like if they win on first down,
that's gonna be the key to keep them manageable down

(24:39):
in distance. The continuity across the old line with San Francisco.
I like San Francisco. Brock Perty's paid. Now you got
see everybody again. They're healthy, buy their stock while they're healthy.

Speaker 5 (24:50):
I like the Niners of this.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
I also like to point out one more thing. I'm
not gonna let one of these shows go by without
mentioning Trent Williams.

Speaker 4 (24:57):
Yeah, of course, even.

Speaker 1 (24:58):
If we're going to talk about forty some weeks, I
just gotta mention Trent Williams. That's our goal.

Speaker 5 (25:03):
A couple of day, just a couple of data points.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Seattle won and six against the spread in their last
seven home games one and six versus the forty nine
Ers in their last seven matchup with Gino Smith.

Speaker 4 (25:12):
We got a whole new quarterback. Who's Donald? Come on now,
don't player.

Speaker 1 (25:15):
Donald came from Kevin o'connells Minnesota Vikings offense that he
got his PhD in football.

Speaker 4 (25:20):
With coping Ac out there running that offense. Run kicker,
no DK postnoun like Smith. They got Smith, Cooper Cup,
they got Kenneth Walker the third. I mean they got
some power on that offense.

Speaker 3 (25:39):
Now I like their offense. I think, yeah, they're going
to establish the run. It's gonna be I think everything
we saw last year from Gino Smith like throw that
offense out the window. I think they're going to establish
the run, not turn the ball over as you see
Sam Donald do last year. And I think it's going
to be a new Seattle that just grinds it out.
They had ten wins last year.

Speaker 2 (25:58):
But yeah, and Niners had a shaky defense last year
at the X factor though slid coming back as the
DC for San fran.

Speaker 4 (26:05):
But I'm telling you they looking at how they looking
at film from last year. They was in the gun.
They're not gonna be in the gun this year because,
like I said, they got a new offense coordinator, they're
gonna be under the center. That's gonna throw to San
Francisco forty nine ers off a little bit. That's just
what I feel.

Speaker 1 (26:19):
I also like like Sam Darnold. He had a hell
of a year for the Minnesota Vikings last year, but
at the end of the year he fumbled the value
of the Lions they got in the playoffs as well,
like had two bad games.

Speaker 6 (26:28):
True football season didn't end it because he got paid,
got paid, and now he's the starting quarterback.

Speaker 1 (26:35):
Yeah. Yeah, all good points, All good points.

Speaker 2 (26:39):
Gino Smith. Now with the Raiders, we got the Raiders
at New England. New England's favored two and a half
in this game, the over unders forty three and a half.
Vrabel Pete Carroll for the regime.

Speaker 3 (26:51):
I'm gonna be honest, this is a twelve o'clock game.
It's gonna be a Scott Hansen game for me. Okay,
it's gonna be a red zone game. I'm gonna just
tune in to see how gent does. And I want
to get this Travon Henderson because these are two coaches,
you know, established coaches who I believe are turning these
organizations around. I still think it's early, and it's not
only early in the season, early in their tenure. They're

(27:12):
obviously this being their first game. But I think what
we're gonna see is what Sean Payton did with the
Broncos and what we're seeing Harball do with the Charges.
But for me, I'm gonna way for Scott Hanson to
show me these touchdowns. I know you boys are, you know,
loyalists to Brave, so I'm gonna let you hit on that.
Which who Scott Hanson, I didn't give it yet, but

(27:34):
I do like the Patriots. I think the fact that
they're in Foxborough, they're gonna probably bring all the dogs
out grong who knows, yeh Edelman. I know Tom probably
can't be there, but I think there's just gonna be
too much fanfare. We're gonna show up.

Speaker 4 (27:49):
Tom gonna be on the Raiders side. Yeah, yeah, he
won't call it. But Stevenson starting or Henderson do we know.

Speaker 1 (27:59):
Right now now?

Speaker 2 (28:00):
Is in the depth charge but Hendrickson, keep your eye
when they get in the fringe area in the ring.

Speaker 1 (28:07):
He was cooking some fellows out there. And also they
showed a couple joint practice clips the kids.

Speaker 6 (28:12):
The kids got his That's why I chose the Patriots
to win the division, and I'm going to ride with you.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
I am taking the Patriots as well. I can't go
against Brabel. I just can't. Straight up.

Speaker 1 (28:24):
You want me to go first, you want to go
go ahead, because I personally don't know. I'll tell you
what I think. I think Mike Rabel is an incredible
head coach. I think he what he does the best
job of is scouting the other coaches their tendencies and
how he can manipulate their weaknesses against them to win
the football game. The issue I see with Mike Rabel
and his strengths is here, he doesn't know what kind

(28:46):
of play he's going to get out of Ashton Genty,
what he's going to get out of Colton Miller, who's
gonna get at Gino Smith? More than anything, chip Kelly
just came back from college. He was in Philly, and
there's not a whole lot you can't go back to Philly,
and these are his tendencies because Chip Kelly is known
for having a great offensive brain. So it's kind of
like a we'll wait and see and based on what
they give us is what we'll put out there. And

(29:08):
then Pete Carroll, I mean you know all about I
mean he won a Super Bowl. A guy was an
episote study at USC When I look at chip Kelly,
him being in Philly before he got drunk with power,
they had a hell of an offense and then they
started to fall apart a little bit. Then Howroy Rosmen
ended up taking over again. Chip Kelly goes to college,
has an incredible season, wins the national championship with Ohio State.

(29:28):
Now he's back with the Raiders as in an OC
position and the perfect position you should be in with
the offense he wants with a running back who's going
to get him down. Hell, I see the Raiders covering
this game. I see the Raiders winning this game. I
also will Campbell rookie fourth overall pick a lot of
people coming at him about how short his arms are.

(29:48):
He is going to be a state. He's going to
be a guy that plays twelve fifteen years in the league.
You know, I don't know if it's a Pro Bowl,
All Pro guy, but he's gonna be a guy's like,
holy shit, dude, he's still playing dark kids are having kids,
and he's still in the league doing his thing. He
is a rookie right now. That defensive line. If I'm
the Raiders, I'm Pete Carroll, I'm taking the Commodore Condor.

Speaker 5 (30:08):
Oh maxx Crosby.

Speaker 1 (30:10):
I'm thinking Max put him over on that right side
of the defense.

Speaker 4 (30:14):
He reminds me of you so well.

Speaker 1 (30:16):
Will Campbell.

Speaker 4 (30:17):
Yeah, I ain't even played it down though.

Speaker 1 (30:18):
Come on, hey, look I do this episode. I like that.

Speaker 2 (30:28):
I like Chip Kelly, I like chip Kelly and the
Gino Smith combination Ashton Genty. Really it's who's going to
show up outside of Max Crosby on the defensive side.
They have backers with the Landon Roberts whoill knock your
dick in the dirt. You got Devin White who's over there.
Is he going to get back to his days of
when he was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. But who's
going to show up defensively for the Raiders? To me,

(30:50):
that's the question mark. But as far as offensively, Pete Carroll,
chip Kelly, I hate picking against Rabes right now because
I feel like they kind of revamped both sides of
the ball with starters. But who's gonna block Max out
of Morgan Moses and Will Campbell. Hell of a first
day for those boys.

Speaker 1 (31:06):
I like the Raiders, and outside of the Raiders to yeah,
outside of Harold Landry. I don't see a lot of
pass rush out of the Patriots from the small sample size.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
I was able to see when we were there. They
do like the the youth and the ability and the
potential that is there. Like cats you want walking off
the bus.

Speaker 5 (31:25):
But yeah, who's gonna.

Speaker 3 (31:26):
How are the Raiders scoring?

Speaker 4 (31:27):
That's what I know.

Speaker 3 (31:28):
Because Gino doesn't have DK, he doesn't have Lock, he
doesn't have Smith and Jig Bob.

Speaker 1 (31:35):
Bowers Myers.

Speaker 3 (31:36):
Oh, they drafted a buddy in the second round out
of tc U. Uh white boy again Jack Bashash Bash Yeah, Bash,
But I'm working Cooper.

Speaker 5 (31:50):
Yeah, he so got some juice.

Speaker 1 (31:53):
I think. I think this is a heavy workload for
Ash and Gent. I think you run the ball, you
allow the you allow the run game to open up
the play action pass. You catch those zones in the middle,
you attack them in the middle of the defense, and
you keep moving forward. It's it's a fun game. I
think if we're in week four, five six, I think
Rabel has enough sample size. I think Stretch has enough
of a sample size to pick up on tendancies and

(32:14):
this game goes the other way. I think it's the
not knowing what they're gonna get on the Patriots side
or on the Raider side that makes you say, Okay.

Speaker 5 (32:21):
You see a lot of twelve personnel with Brock Bowers
and Michael By.

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Definitely, Yeah, you have to those two dudes out there.
You gotta see that.

Speaker 1 (32:28):
Twelve is not It's like twelve, but it's not twelve.
It's like having you in the fields. Yeah, you have
a tight end. He's got a tight end number, but
he's also you get to.

Speaker 5 (32:35):
Receiver.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Yeah, twelve percent usually.

Speaker 4 (32:37):
Put they both block.

Speaker 2 (32:38):
Though they both blocked, I understand, like and I I
don't want to get You can show ten looks, you
can show eleven looks.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
You can do all type of stuff.

Speaker 2 (32:48):
Traditional twelve but one in the backfield.

Speaker 6 (32:51):
But look at quick stat on a on a Patriots
at home So opening day home record is thirty six,
twenty nine. Overall is twenty twenty three fifteen at Jelas Stadium,
including eleven and three at home on kickoffs, opening kickoffs,
right kickoff day, meaning yeah, okay, I just wanted to
make sure you understood that. And the Raiders have not

(33:12):
won at Gulais Stadium since two thousand and two.

Speaker 5 (33:15):
How many times they played there?

Speaker 4 (33:16):
Who knows?

Speaker 9 (33:21):
You can't look up giving It's like Bill Belichick first
year as a head coach with the Patriots.

Speaker 4 (33:33):
Oh yeah, with the Patriots.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
Yeah he coach.

Speaker 4 (33:36):
Yeah yeah, make Ray will know what time it is
he was there.

Speaker 1 (33:41):
There's know what time it is, Patriots, but that Patriots, Patriots, Bills, Bills.

Speaker 3 (33:46):
Raider Patriots for the next Bills.

Speaker 1 (33:52):
Yeah, go ahead, cop Raiders.

Speaker 5 (33:56):
Yeah, I'm Raiders.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Okay.

Speaker 2 (33:58):
Sunday Night Football, Yeah, Ravens. They have Buffalo, Buffalo favored
by one and a half. The over under on this
game is fifty and a half. I got the over, Clay,
you want to start this thing off?

Speaker 1 (34:09):
You got the over.

Speaker 3 (34:10):
I got the over all, right, listen. I picked the
Baltimore Ravens to win the Super Bowl. I picked Lamar
Jackson to win the MVP, and I think it starts
Week one. We all know Josh Allen, can you know?
He can score points at will, He can do whatever
he wants. But I'm going with the better overall roster

(34:30):
right here, and that's the Baltimore Ravens. The better quarterback,
the better running back, the better defense. You looked at
their games last year, they split whatever week it was.
When they play him during the regular season, Derek Henry
rushes for two hundred yards. You look at the playoff game,
Baltimore turns it over three times, Andrews drops that two
pointer to take him into overtime or to tie it

(34:51):
up at least didn't give the ball to Derek Henry enough.
I think they absolutely feed him this time against the
middle of the pack run defense that the Bills have.
I think he runs for another two hundred. I think
the Ravens win this handedly with the handed handedly, Like
you know, two scores. Two scores is a lot.

Speaker 2 (35:13):
I like the Ravens pick. The only thing that makes
me nervous about the Ravens is just how sloppy they
can play. Like I remember watching that game last year.
Who were they playing the Chiefs in the opener, just
fall starts penalties, doing things to shoot themselves in the foot.
They were still in the game. Oh buddy the tight end, Yeah, Isaiah,
likely at the very end of the game. I do
like the Ravens.

Speaker 5 (35:33):
I also like the under in this game.

Speaker 1 (35:36):
Just I think Week one unders are the clearest path
to success when you're thinking about betting on NFL. Week
one unders is always the I like where your heads
out when you look at Week one of last year
against Kansasy Chiefs at Kansas City. At that point, John
Harball is trying to figure out what's he gonna do
with Derrick Henry because Lamar Jackson, you know, like seventy
five percent of his snaps before Derrick Henry was in

(35:58):
the shotgun, you know, having having the back off to
his right or left. Derrick Henry hates having the shotgun
RPO type of rethinks. So they have to figure out
a way to how do we get in the center
and get Derek Henry downhill. Obviously they figured out that
out last year. The stat that I have that makes
me go for the Ravens is Lamar Jackson's twelve and
two against the spread when he's an underdog. I think
that is I mean, I picked the Bills. What's up?

Speaker 5 (36:19):
Goodt good stat.

Speaker 1 (36:20):
I like the Bill. I like the Bills a long term.
I like the Bills in the Super Bowl. I like
the Bills winning the Super Bowl. Obviously they were my
futures pick. I like the Ravens covering here.

Speaker 4 (36:31):
I'm taking Ravens money line.

Speaker 6 (36:34):
They gonna win the game, playing the symbol they fueled
off from last year and losing to these boys. I
just feel like they got something, that they got something
to prove.

Speaker 3 (36:41):
There's a lot of clips out there right now. A
lot of times, you know, after the season last year
was last year, there's a lot of clips coming out
of there talking about I'm not gonna say Redange, but
like they want to get there. As Shannon Sharp says,
their retribution, they were Ravens across the board. Don't like that.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
I don't triple A stats are never bowed well for us.
Makes you want to slip towards me.

Speaker 4 (37:04):
But the Ravens is going to be I think the
Ravens are ready this year, man.

Speaker 1 (37:08):
I mean they understand their offense a little bit better
for sure with Derek, they know how to use them.

Speaker 4 (37:12):
And then on the defense, they got ten out of eleven.

Speaker 1 (37:15):
Trying to think like this.

Speaker 2 (37:19):
Or Alexander, Yeah, and this is the number one defense,
number one, the number one defense in the.

Speaker 4 (37:24):
Game, number one. I had that number one defense in
the game.

Speaker 1 (37:26):
Ravens.

Speaker 4 (37:27):
Yeah, yeah, they like I like under Yeah.

Speaker 1 (37:32):
I just go back to Rochester, New York, and we're
sitting there watching Josh Allen give us, give us that handshake,
saying why you shook hands like that and then only
missed two passes in the entire practice. It's just so relaxed.
You're talking about, be relaxed catching.

Speaker 4 (37:45):
That out Baltimore Ravens. I'm taking the Ravens straight.

Speaker 1 (37:50):
I like it Monday, Monday Night Football. We interrupt this
episode to bring you Form Energy.

Speaker 2 (37:56):
Form Energy delivers best in class taste with natural flavors
and zero sugar. Form Energy has natural caffeine derived from
green tea. Form comes in a variety of flavors. Your
boy is holding the orange Fury right here. You got
Scream and Freedom, you got Blue Blitz, grape Smash, and it's.

Speaker 1 (38:12):
Perfect for those who put in the work.

Speaker 2 (38:14):
If you're like my boy Clay here, where you're somebody
who wakes up in the morning, gets a workout and
puts in a full day of work and still gives
it there all when they come home.

Speaker 5 (38:22):
That's Form Energy. You're a Form Energy guy. Form Energy.
We do the work back to this episode.

Speaker 1 (38:28):
Vikings are at the Bears. Let's see here Minnesota favorite
at minus one and a half. The towel points in
the game is forty four and a half points. A
lot of question marks in this game about Caleb Williams
and Ben Johnson. I know a month ago there's like
clips coming out, our conversations coming out about Ben Johnson
getting mad at Caleb Williams because he's not understanding the

(38:48):
play calls, he's not processing and understanding the game a
whole lot. You think they start to work on it.
You see like the couple press conferences between then and
their last preseason game of Ben Johnson saying, yeah, we've
kind dug down the place book a little bit, We're
giving it a little step by step. Caleb seems to
be receptive towards that his processes are getting better. And
then you get to this last preseason game and Ben
Johnson is having a lot of conversation revolving around the

(39:10):
first two drives, how they've been lethargic and they've been
plagued by lethargic player on the oppositive side of the ball.
Their entire camp go over to the Minnesota side. You
got JJ McCarthy getting his first start. He had a
meniscus last year, was not ended up not playing, got
it repaired. I think that was the long term best
move for him. Kevin O'Connell is on a x's and

(39:31):
o's like local Minnesota radio station show. Give me a
conversation about JJ's processes, his routine, the meditation, how he's
picking up the playbook. He feels very comfortable about his
quarterback with the weapons that he has going into Week one.
If I'm just looking at the two press conferences that
I watched most recently, you feel a head coach Ben

(39:51):
Johnson has a lot of criticism revolving around his leadership capabilities.
Come from the Detroit Lions, and they have a proven
head coach Kevin O'Connell who seems very calm, very stoic
about his quarterback, even though he's a first year starter,
it's his second year in that offense. For those reasons,
I'm going to take Minnesota cover just one and a half.

Speaker 4 (40:09):
See that scared me. You just said the key thing.

Speaker 6 (40:11):
It's his second year, but it's still his first year,
no game time experience. He's going out there. Obviously, we
know they playing in Bears, but they do got Kevin
Byrn out there, no for making interceptions, picking off young
guys now to read the offense very well.

Speaker 4 (40:25):
That's a tough one, man, it's a tough one. So
Bears money line, Bears money one. Yeah.

Speaker 1 (40:34):
Yeah, taking the dogs and you're gonna get put out
pretty quick or you're gonna be looking pretty damn good
getting back.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
I'll tell you. Belta as Man season, you gotta think
about it. They revamped that old line they brought in
with Joe j Jackson, Joe Toney, Drew Dolman, Right.

Speaker 6 (40:58):
I mean that's just to help that run game. You
got Swift back there. He balled out last year. I
think he's gonna come back and have it even a
better year.

Speaker 5 (41:05):
This and he's reconnected with because Johnson Johnson.

Speaker 1 (41:08):
Can I tell you a quick story. So this weekend,
we're leaving Ohio State Texas and as we're walking out,
we hear a voice in the background, So you guys
get kicked out, refer to the Dave Portnoy, not big
a lot in the stadium, and we look back. We're
joking around and this guy walks up there. It's like, hey,
Ryan Poles, nice to meet you, and I'm like talking,
I don't know the name, and will Is like, hey,
first off, I won't say it's great to meet you.
I'm trying to who the fuck's GM for the Bears.

(41:33):
He is there watching the game and his he was
lighting up about Colston Lovelin. This guy's coming. He loves
his blocking abilities, he loves his catching abilities. So I like,
I like, where your heads? My worry is, what's the
head of the snake. It's the quarterback. And I think
there's been a lot of disruption between head coach and
quarterback that we've seen in the public eye.

Speaker 4 (41:51):
I mean, they got a lot of young guys on
on for the Bears. So we're gonna see, We're gonna
see what's going It comes.

Speaker 2 (41:57):
Down to Caleb Williams. This is his Obviously it's everybody's
biggest year, but this is his biggest year quarterback.

Speaker 5 (42:05):
Generational quarterback. Like he's got the roster.

Speaker 2 (42:08):
You talked about it, DeAndre Swift, you got DJ Moore,
Roma Doonza, you got Luther Burden that they drafted out
of the Missour this year, you got Colson Loveland and
Cole Comet. They revamped the old line spent a lot
of money to bring in Joe Toney, Drew Dolman, and
Jonah Jackson. You've got Darnell right, is he gonna be
the guy that they drafted out of Tennessee Braxon Jones
at the left tackle. But they got the guys that
bring in a Grady Jarrett from the Atlanta Falcons who's

(42:30):
good on defense.

Speaker 1 (42:31):
You got Kevin Byrd in the back end. Montese Sweat
on the other side, like they have the roster.

Speaker 2 (42:36):
It's all about Caleb Williams and if Ben Johnson and
him and him can get in line and he can
execute the offense the way Ben Johnson sees it, whether
or not it's dumbed down from what he was doing
in Detroit, because when he's in Detroit, everybody's catching the ball.
The creativity that Ben Johnson has, it's all their motions everything.
But can Caleb Williams Williams retain all of this stuff,

(42:58):
dish the ball out to all these guys and make
the offense it's effective and make Ben Johnson's offense work
for him. I like Minnesota. I think there's it's valid.
All the question marks, what's JJ McCarthy are going to
be like, but Kevin O'Connell. He's proven it doesn't matter
who the quarterback is. They do it year in and
year out. You got Justin Jefferson. They spent money on
the old line as well. They have a lot of
new faces, but getting Ryan Kelly and Willie Fries out

(43:20):
of Indianapolis, they're going to help. Offensively, they live under center.
They're one of the top teams when it comes to
play action pass and they brought over to compliment Aaron
Jones Jordan Mason from the forty nine ers who can
run the ball really well. So I think again they're
gonna live through the run game. You got play action
passes being set up for Justin Jefferson.

Speaker 5 (43:38):
TJ.

Speaker 2 (43:39):
Hockinson is healthy, he's with them this year. Addison, Yeah,
you got Addison which Addison has suspended.

Speaker 4 (43:46):
Yeah. Yeah for the car duy are the best six
d Yeah he got but.

Speaker 2 (43:54):
Still they bring in Adam Thieling back. You still got
Jalen Naylor. Is it Naylor Jay? Yeah, Jalen Naylor. Defensively,
Flores is one of the best in the game period.
They're like they're they're like the only team that have
like three guys over seven sacks because all the different
packages and everything else. They got a good linebacker unit.
They got guys up front. I like Minnesota in this

(44:15):
game because to me, it's like, who's Caleb Williams gonna be?
And I think that answers far to be determined.

Speaker 1 (44:22):
Yeah, talking aboutressures to JJ, didn't fel like he has
a whole lot of press. Like you feel like, Okay,
there's gonna be growing pains with kid, But it's like
you got to show us now, like get out of
the nail salon.

Speaker 2 (44:29):
It's time to figure it out. They went out and
got guys for you. This is they got the coach
for you, Like this is the year for Caleb.

Speaker 1 (44:34):
It seems like the coach is not happy. Boy.

Speaker 3 (44:36):
It's just just a few short months ago. I'm in
front of millions and millions of fans boldly predicted, boldly
that the Bear still suck. Okay, now I know this
this and this pains me to say it, but I
got the Bear's money line here over the Vikings. Let
me tell you why. All right, they the Vikings take
a step back at quarterback. I know you got JJ McCarthy,

(44:58):
who does you know? Yeah, he's going into a second year,
but he's go no experience. The Bears defense is real. Yeah, okay,
so they're gonna give them problems, is what I'm saying.
They also got Justin Jefferson coming off a hamstring? Is
he one hundred percent?

Speaker 4 (45:12):
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (45:13):
Jordan Addison suspended, like yeah, Thelans, you know, But who
do they have out there? Aaron Jones can't carry the
load by himself. I don't see their offense playing really well.
And I tell you what, there's not a team that
wins the offseason more than the Chicago Bears. They don't
actually win the offseason, but there's always hype, there's always.

Speaker 4 (45:34):
Hope about it.

Speaker 3 (45:35):
But those clips I saw in the preseason, Ben Johnson's offense,
despite you know, the quotes that are coming out about
you know, working with Caleb, that drive they had on
whatever it was. I know it's just preseason. I know
it's just preseason. But I'm buying the hype for Week
one and Week one only. I got the Bears, yes,
and very both of you, very brave.

Speaker 1 (45:57):
Yes.

Speaker 5 (45:58):
Yeah, I see a gritty win by the Vikings. I
like the underdooe this game.

Speaker 1 (46:03):
Give me the underfall. The games this underweek underwek underweek
big especially Chief Chargers.

Speaker 4 (46:08):
Do not put that on my record.

Speaker 1 (46:10):
None of that, None of that the one I love Vikings,
Yeah fresh Parlay, No, no True Classic friend fault.

Speaker 2 (46:20):
Every Sunday's got games, but only one fits just right.
This is True Classics game of the week. Look good,
feel good, play good. Your boys ripping True Classic, tailors
ripping True Classic. We'll get the boys in some True Classic,
very proud usc. They put up seventy plus over the weekend. Hey,
we have this episode to bring you True Classic. Talk
about the pimast shirts. I'm wearing that bad boy right now.

(46:42):
It's got a little curve on the side. Grabs the arms,
grab his shoulders.

Speaker 1 (46:44):
Is this chest right here? I don't got a big chest,
but with this shirt on, you might I might be
able to distract you a little bit. You can find
True Classic at Amazon and Costco, Sam's Club and Target nationwide,
or online at true Classic dot com for its lash bustin,
look good, feel good, play good. Let's get back to
this episode.

Speaker 2 (47:00):
But this week we got the Detroit Lions at the
Green Bay Packers Jared Golfers, Jordan Love. The Packers are
favored at home with two and a half points. By
two and a half points. The over under on this
game is forty seven and a half. We gotta let
the green Bay legend himself.

Speaker 4 (47:17):
Boys.

Speaker 3 (47:19):
There is thirty one other NFL organization fan bases who
are envious of the Green Bay Packers after their recent
acquisition of Micah Parsons. A little birdie was in my
ear a couple days before. Didn't know if this was
going to happen, but I loved it and when it
came true. This is not something they normally do. This

(47:40):
isn't the Green Bay the draft and developed green Bay Packers.
I know we talked about bringing in Reggie White, Charles Woods,
and now Micah Parsons. They're showing with bringing in Josh Jacobs,
who's buddy who had all those interceptions? Nixon No, Yep, yep,
Xavier Mcheal McKinney, and now bringing in Micah. They're all
in one in five and the NFC North last year

(48:02):
is not going to cut it. Despite making the playoffs,
they are good. We I'm gonna put me back on
the team. We are trying to get over the hump
here and does one guy win you the Super Bowl? No,
but I think it brings a certain aura to the team.
I think it shows the locker room what they're about.
So enough about the Packers. The Lions, on the other hand,

(48:23):
losing both coordinators, I'm not going to say that. I
think the Packers are a better team come Week one.
I think they're playing at Green Bay. I think the
atmosphere is gonna be electric. I see the Packers taking
this one. I see him, I see him covering over
forty seven and a half.

Speaker 1 (48:44):
Over.

Speaker 2 (48:46):
I enjoy as well. Yeah, yeah, but I like the Packers.
I'm with I'm with Clay on this one. Not to
mention you bring in Michael Parsons. They're all in on
getting after this year. They needed more pass rush, more sacks.
They go out and get it with Parsons being on
the opposite side of your boy Rashaan Gary and then
even the acquisition the drafting in the first round.

Speaker 1 (49:09):
Of Matthew Golden.

Speaker 2 (49:11):
But Jordan Love, listen, we're healthy right now, he said,
thirty something starts. This is the year for the Green
Bay Packers. You didn't mention the second level, but Edrian
Cooper and kway Walker both absolute dogs.

Speaker 1 (49:25):
Who's going to pick up the.

Speaker 2 (49:26):
Slack for JayR Alexander you got, you got Nixon on
one side, you got Nate Hobbs, both former teammates of mine.
Nate Hobbs on the other side, who's gonna step up
there with Alexander leaving? I do like the Packers. I
like the Packers a lot. They were your boys super
Bowl pick. I'm even more proud to say that now
that they have Michael Parsons.

Speaker 4 (49:46):
Is playing.

Speaker 1 (49:48):
Yeah, he's playing.

Speaker 5 (49:49):
He got an epidural, he played it.

Speaker 1 (49:50):
He played a game of chess with the Dallas cowboy,
is what he did.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
I've heard.

Speaker 5 (49:54):
I think both sides. I think both sides won that trade.

Speaker 3 (49:58):
Who Dallas?

Speaker 5 (49:58):
I think Dallas won that.

Speaker 3 (49:59):
Te I think that's yet to be determined.

Speaker 5 (50:09):
I like the Packers. I like the Packers.

Speaker 4 (50:10):
I like the Lions. Money line straight up, this motherfucker
straight coming back.

Speaker 10 (50:17):
You got daven Man, Derek Barnes. They about to be
all over life game like we'd be on Hot ticket
and mat Yeah right, the.

Speaker 2 (50:35):
Question mark I got with the Lions and Taylor you
can speak to this too, because I know you know
the old line inside now.

Speaker 1 (50:40):
But they got new faces. Man, They've they lost.

Speaker 2 (50:43):
I forget how many guys are your boy glass Cow
going to center full Tosco.

Speaker 1 (50:48):
Yeah, so they lose Kevin Zeiler to the Tennessee Time.
Frank Ragnow, who is one of the best centers in
the entire league, he ends up retiring. My understanding is
he's the heart and sold it off the time. He's
not the most talented guy. Because you have the Taylor
deck Swell on both sides. They're a top three combo
in the entire league, maybe behind the Eagles and hard
for me to say another one and then possibly the Eagles.

(51:10):
That is to me the biggest loss for the Lions.
I love Graham Glasgow. He was obviously very good at
guard last year. He moves in a center. I know
Graham personally by playing with that Michigan. He's a very smart,
very capable player. I don't know if he's the uh,
he's gonna be verbal as a leader that Frank Ragnow
possibly was. Frank Ragnell gives me Ben Jones vibes. There
was a there was a game we played against the Jets.

(51:31):
Our guard was not playing well, our left guard, so
we pulled the left guard. We put in a different
center and Ben came and played left guard next to
me instead of the center making the call. Ben was
still staying up there pointing left and right, who's the mic?
What's the safety rotation? All that Frank Ragnell gives me
that vibe. So the biggest question, the biggest pain point
for me isn't Lions losing their OC. It isn't lines

(51:52):
losing their DC. I think Jared Goff is a capable
and smart enough quarterback to be very demanding about what
he likes and does not like. I think it comes
down to the center being gone in the leadership hole
that is now missing with the Lions, which makes me
towards edge the Packers.

Speaker 2 (52:07):
That's wrong because it's like Glasgow ceiling not as high
as rag now. But he'll be confident enough, like he'll
be solid, But what are your guards going to be?

Speaker 1 (52:15):
Like? That interior is massive, especially when you're a team
that's known for running the football.

Speaker 4 (52:19):
Run the football, ye, I mean, but they got they
got the bast.

Speaker 5 (52:21):
Packers got the run defense to one of the best
in the league.

Speaker 1 (52:25):
Kenny Clark. Yeah, Kenny Clark's dog too.

Speaker 4 (52:29):
Like Michael is not a He not a run stopper.
Definitely not a run stopper.

Speaker 1 (52:35):
No, he's I mean, he's a hen blows up runs.
He will gives up.

Speaker 4 (52:42):
Around J. J.

Speaker 1 (52:43):
Watt. You look at Brian Cushing and you go, hey, buddy,
you gotta make him right, Yeah, because he's gonna go
you know, b gaps in the a gap. Michael Parsons
has that free ing to do those.

Speaker 4 (52:53):
I know, That's what I'm saying, because he can do
what he wants when on the field.

Speaker 1 (52:56):
Let's get to that trade for a second, because I
think we obviously don't know who the true winner of
that trade is until we see the picks are on
how those picks developed for Dallas. Jerry Jones when he
sits there and does a press confidence of like, who
says we can't go get a Pro Bowl player?

Speaker 5 (53:10):
Now we can.

Speaker 1 (53:11):
We are drafted developed team, which they are, like they
have drafted numerous Pro bowlers. They have so much talent
on their team. Every single year, it's always a culture
or it's like too much distraction within that building that
doesn't allow them to be successful. But buddy, like you
got a kid, Micah Parsons, who is a generational talent.
He is one of those keys. Twenty five twenty six

(53:31):
years old, with like he has his ceiling of what
his potential is. You get Kenny Clark, who's a great
run stopper. He's a great leader for the Packers for
a very long time. But you you're basically punting on
the season, being like we're gonna be really great down
the road, and the Packers are saying, like, hey, we
can actually win now. I think I think Dallas right now,
you look at Dallas, but like you guys have lost

(53:52):
that trade until further notice. Right now, Mike Parsons, when
it comes to the back, I think that's chess. One
of the easiest things to fake in the league is
the best you hear from trainers all the time. Five
s one over here. I know he's got real issues,
but other guys like they're not feeling it. They got
mas can come back clean, and they still they still hurt.
I think when negotiations started getting personal between Jerry Jones

(54:12):
and Michael Parsons, like who what what? Owner goes up
to the player and negotiates the contract, then goes to
the agent and says, hey, we got it all. Figure out.
That was a lie, crazy old school that was a handshake.

Speaker 5 (54:25):
Also loves a handshake.

Speaker 3 (54:27):
You know, thatshake. I love to have him.

Speaker 4 (54:30):
You know that was a lie that dude didn't go
up there and greeted nothing, and then he might have think.

Speaker 2 (54:36):
You ever heard the negotiation story with Tony Romo, No,
you should check that out. Legitimately, him and the parcels
like had him in a small room and they were
trying to get him to sign this. And ultimately Romo
like postured up, kept his poison everything else, and Jerry
was like, I respected it of him.

Speaker 1 (54:52):
They gave him the contract that Romo had wanted.

Speaker 2 (54:54):
But they got the deal done right there when they're sitting,
like Romo said that, they were sitting like knee to
knee is him parcel They're trying to get him out
of practice, trying to get him to sign and uh,
it's a cool story, but I believe that he might
have had Parsons one on.

Speaker 3 (55:08):
You look at how much the pass rusher market went
up just this offseason. I think Max was the first
one to stop. Max Crosby at thirty nine million, miles,
Garrett forty not I'm making TJ want forty five, Micah
forty seven. I mean it went up seven eight million
dollars in one offseason, which is unheard of, so it
very well could have been a handshake.

Speaker 1 (55:30):
You miss not being in.

Speaker 3 (55:34):
That's why I'm playing in the Power.

Speaker 6 (55:38):
But when the Dallas, when Jerry Jones says our team
got better after that trade, I fucking threw up in
my mouth.

Speaker 2 (55:46):
Man, Like I respectfully, if I were to play the
other side and disagree with you, we know how important
culture is in the locker room. Dallas was a bottom
five defense across the board last year. It's not like
he was so all world. And then there's this, there's
this part of being such a freaking so good at
an organization to where you have the pod going, you
have all the stuff going to where Micah is kind

(56:08):
of transcending beyond the defense to where he's playing Michael
Parson's ball. However he wants to play because he knows
he's got the entire city, He's got everything on his side.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
You go to the Packers, you might.

Speaker 2 (56:20):
Have initially a little bit more of team playing team
defense because you're fitting into a different puzzle. You're around
different faces, different coaches, a different locker room. So that's
where I find myself saying, like I feel like this
was a win for both sides because it could have
gotten to a point where even players are saying, I don't.

Speaker 1 (56:37):
Know this thatk did have. Hey, now we know what
we're doing. We can move forward, kind of like this
was a good thing to happen.

Speaker 2 (56:42):
Who knows, you can read in between the lines, but
to where players are probably we got to figure out
if this dude's even gonna be on the field with this.
As great as he is, he's gonna get you sacks
and everything else, but you still need to get better
in a bunch of other categories. Getting two first round
picks to where they have four in the next two years,
and you bring a cornerstone or a leadership culture guy,
good player out of a three time Pro Bowl with
Kenny Clark, That's where, in my opinion, I feel like

(57:04):
they won because you kind of get rid of, Hey,
this is becoming this is getting a little too this problem.
This food's getting spoiled over here. We need to get
it while the values where it's at. We can get
better down the road, maybe look to the future, but
it's not like you're gonna get any worse this year.
Based on the way that they performed defensively last year.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
He's either a genius or he backshit crazy because he
got rid of a problem. Because yeah, he do have
a podcast, and I feel like he think that podcast
is what made him who he is with football, is
the reason.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
Why did you twitter? Argue with that with anybody too? Yeah,
so yeah, absolutely, you gotta respect.

Speaker 6 (57:35):
But then he goes and tell Green Bay Packer fans
one day I'm just gonna disappear.

Speaker 4 (57:40):
You're gonna find me in Africa.

Speaker 6 (57:43):
I don't want to hear that as a fan that
a player we just bring in, we giving him forty
seven million a year says yeah, one day I.

Speaker 4 (57:51):
May just disappear on y'all and be in Africa.

Speaker 1 (57:56):
Like that's crazy.

Speaker 2 (57:58):
There's a side of like the individ is your player,
individual player brand building that we all respect because it's like,
get whatever you can out of the league because it's
gonna get everything it can out of you. And then
there's also the part of us that's also team locker
room for the logo, the name on the front and
everything else where. It's like, yeah, I can see why.
Like to me, it's like this is a win for

(58:18):
all sides. Green Bay going to get trying to go
get their championship, get a high end, high level pass
rusher and an icon with Michael Parsons and Dallas.

Speaker 5 (58:27):
Let's just let's turn the page. Let's move on, let's
go try to win some games.

Speaker 4 (58:33):
Like it's going to be. Well, we're gonna keep our
eyes on this one.

Speaker 3 (58:36):
It's gonna be outside of Micah though, I think this
also shows not only that the fan base and the organization,
but Jordan Love especially. We gotta get it down. Yeah,
we don't know what the playoff record is. I think
it's a little shaky. Obviously had that game against Dallas
where he showed out, but then you know he's had
a couple interceptions. We had the forty nine ers a
couple of years ago.

Speaker 5 (58:57):
Last year, I really injured last year going it living into.

Speaker 3 (59:00):
Yeah, but I mean twenty ten, we had twenty two
people on IR and hey, Rob made it work. So
all I'm saying is they we are, we are all in.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
But who's your receivers? Though? You see when you say
a Rod, you got to think about the guys y'all
had on offense.

Speaker 3 (59:15):
We did have, Yeah, we did have Well I got
him right here for hey, So here's Christian Watson still
I think he's still nursing his acl But you got
Golden who I heard as the best hands on the
team route runner. If Jordan Love can throw it to
Tucker Kraft a little craft, you know about one thousand
yards this year. I want to say it was six
seven eight hundred last year. Romeo Dobbs, Jayden reed like

(59:40):
they've got a good draft and develop. Gotta stay healthy,
gotta stay healthy. Everyone's got to stay healthy. But I
see this has got to be Jordan Love's year to
most definitely to take it over.

Speaker 4 (59:52):
We're at the Boys.

Speaker 5 (59:54):
You went Lions money line, Yeah yeah, would you go again?

Speaker 4 (59:59):
So we got off.

Speaker 1 (01:00:02):
Okay at the Boys parlay.

Speaker 2 (01:00:04):
Anytime touchdown here fellas anytime touchdown this our parlay.

Speaker 1 (01:00:08):
We went maybe one for twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
Last year, I believe is the correct number one in
the majority until I think Clay came up, was rocking
with us to the majority of the parlays. With three
Lake parlays this year, we bump it up to four.
We look at what we did last year, let's move
it up another.

Speaker 1 (01:00:24):
Let's go down. I saw this card and I thought
to myself, we're starting one to know yet, and it's like,
no guarantees, right, no guarantees, but nine, you can't tell
me this one doesn't hit anytime? Touchdown player Derrick Henry,
who would have thought low hanging fruit dropping the bucket?

Speaker 6 (01:00:45):
Next, Jamar Gibbs, let's go Ashton Genty, Let's get the
rookie a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (01:00:50):
You're scar No, he's switch changed because you guys are
I love these bits, So I changed my soul. Originally
I had DeVante Adams. I figure I didn't hate that.
We talked this offseason. He said he was doing all right.
All right, he said he was doing right. But I'm worried,
not about Matthew Stafford's health, none of that. I just

(01:01:10):
I worry about the opportunity. I do think he will
get one. He's had all off season to work on
those red zone routes. He's a veteran. Mcvay's gonna want
to get him the ball. But I switched over to
CMC a little safer pick getting him back on the
field healthy against the Seahawks. I see that one hitting. Hey,
truth be told, I gotta give a shout out to
my brother here, because you know my brother, your boy. Yeah,
my boy, my brother, my bro, he's a He hit

(01:01:33):
me with a stat he was in the top point
three percent of Fan Duel Anytime touchdown betters. And when
I send him to DEVONDI goues.

Speaker 1 (01:01:42):
I like it.

Speaker 4 (01:01:42):
But what about this?

Speaker 3 (01:01:43):
Sent me a list Chase Brown, CMC, James Connor, Nico Collins,
Drake Line, and I said, just give me CMC. Let's
just make it. Shout out Brian to be mad. And
Fandel doesn't like it when I say it, because you
know they want your money. We're all about winning over here.

Speaker 2 (01:01:56):
Okay, great, Sorry, gonna get spicy two with Drake London,
big time red zone threat.

Speaker 5 (01:02:03):
But again I wanted to go, let's go running back.

Speaker 4 (01:02:05):
I'm running running back.

Speaker 1 (01:02:07):
It's more comfortable to go.

Speaker 3 (01:02:08):
So so what is that now?

Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
What are those odds? Eight and forty seven plus eight
forty seven?

Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
You get those four?

Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
Jamir gives CMC, Ashton gent and Derrick Henry that is
plus eight forty seven the Fan Duel sportsbook. When he
was going with the DeVante Adams, I want to say
we were touching around plus twelve hundred.

Speaker 4 (01:02:24):
Yeah, we was twelve hundred at first.

Speaker 1 (01:02:26):
Which I know you've loved four digits on your parlays. Yeah,
that's like crazy Jesus all the way with the PARLAYSA five.

Speaker 6 (01:02:33):
Will if you do go Adams is plus twelve eighty two.
If y'all want to take better.

Speaker 3 (01:02:40):
He might as well.

Speaker 4 (01:02:41):
But I want to take it.

Speaker 3 (01:02:42):
I love you want to start.

Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
We're going with the bangers at him as well, Drake London, No,
I drink davante Drake London, you're gonna.

Speaker 5 (01:02:52):
Do I'm gonna do this one and I might go
a little six piece?

Speaker 3 (01:02:55):
Yeah, what's your start with going with a bang six? No? No, no, no,
Let's win, try and win. Let's set the home for
the season.

Speaker 10 (01:03:01):
I said that, like, let's go one to know first,
nobody got a hotay they want to give out?

Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
I don't know.

Speaker 5 (01:03:08):
I don't have one.

Speaker 4 (01:03:10):

taking Bear's money line that's plus one oh five altogether,
that's plus three thirty three, twenty.

Speaker 3 (01:04:40):
