I know this, this your intro. How to just say
we're only focused on the Bust and all but a
lot of good games, A lot of good games, lot.

Speaker 2 (02:38):
Of good games.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
You gotta how you gotta have a good undercard.

Speaker 2 (02:40):
God, have a good undercard. Things are really exciting with the.

Speaker 4 (02:43):
Main event by far.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, people are talking, People are whispering, some louder than others.

Speaker 4 (02:50):
I think people were whispering last week. People are just
not right talking this week. You think they're little. Kids
are coming up to me on the street, Hey, Bud,
Bust and Bull, who you got, And I'm like, I'm
gonna be there, kid, You're gonna be in a school
frid Yeah, what's going on?

Speaker 2 (03:01):
What's going on?

Speaker 4 (03:02):
I feel nervous.

Speaker 1 (03:02):
I've been seeing the fan base, like fan base accounts
just go back and forth all week long. Yeah, it's
getting a little gets a little nasty to Nebraska to
finally get a little nasty.

Speaker 2 (03:14):
Yeah, I get a little Nebraska nice six days a week.

Speaker 3 (03:17):
That's a matt rualism, Like you want Nebraska to be
nice six days a week, but I need them on Saturday.
Like if I don't fear of getting a little bit
assaulted on Saturday, then Nebraska didn't do their job.

Speaker 4 (03:27):
You've had this all right, we got to we gotta
hash this out for a second. So you've had this vibe.
You've had a very big brother vibe about this thing. Yeah,
and you're talking like a big brother who watched a
little brother not be nine or ten years old anymore.
But little brother's like fifteen now and you still feel
superior to him. But like you think, if he got
you in the right hold, or if he caught you

(03:48):
getting out of bed, like he could get you on
the ground. Am I wrong? Because that's the vibe I'm
getting on.

Speaker 2 (03:53):
No.

Speaker 3 (03:53):
Yeah, while you're telling you that, I remember my so
I have a younger brother's three years younger than me,
and I remember we would get into it and my
dad would a hey, man, someday he's going to be
bigger than you, and he's gonna be able to take
you out.

Speaker 2 (04:04):
I'm thirty four, now I'm six. Seventy's six too.

Speaker 3 (04:06):
I'll say, dude, listen when it comes to this game, Like,
I'm excited for Nebraska's opportunity to go against a blue
blood program. I'm excited for Matt Rule year three. I'm
excited for Dylan Royola. I'm excited for them to see
a real competition. And like it's tough to position. You
just put Nebraska in as like potentially being like, yeah,

(04:27):
Michigan State's younger brother and maybe even Nebraska's younger brother
at this point. But I'm excited for Saturday. I'm excited
for the Cornhusker fans because they have more hope and
optimism than they've ever had since I mean fifty one
was out there taking out heads.

Speaker 2 (04:41):
Optimism is pretty high. Every year. Optimism, yep, oft is
pretty hire.

Speaker 3 (04:45):
Yeah, I'll say this, Optimism has been very high every year,
and then all of a sudden, this week it's like
until insert game, and then the year the game starts
to take place, and it's like, hey, will remember three
and nine best three in nineteen, Hey, well, remember we're
gonna be good, remember, and it's like, yepit.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Now we've heard nothing.

Speaker 4 (05:06):
Don't you think in Week one, the fact that the
Sinci game was a one possession game and you got
the one possession game monkey off the back. Do you
think that does anything to alleviate your petrification if you're
in the fourth quarter and it's a dogfight, or are
you just over the cliff at this point there is
no fear even though you don't control anything because you're

(05:26):
just going to be standing on the sidelines. How do
you feel if it's seventeen, all five minutes to go Saturday.

Speaker 2 (05:31):
I think that's the spot.

Speaker 1 (05:32):
That's a spot you want to see Nebraskan Like, yeah,
they win the game one possession against Cincinnati, Like when Hertzog,
Hertzog gets the defensive holding call, keeps his composure, ends
up icing the game at the end, Like that is
awesome because we usually find a way to lose those games.
I think there's always that little bit of that little
that dude on the outside tapping on the window, that

(05:53):
little bit of nerves that is like, hey, you guys
haven't won a big game. Look we'll get into all this.
We'll get in all this is this the main event.
This is the main event of the show. It's the
main event of the show. Let's get to tech. We
got Texas Tech, we got a lot of like you
said it, we got a great undercard. We've got some
great games on the board. We'll get into it when
the bust and bull comes.

Speaker 3 (06:13):
I do like Texas Tech Utah because this is when
we were talking about the futures. Obviously were Kansas State
who you know, talks the state goes zero yet again
against Mississippi State where Mississippi lose that game. But in
the futures conversation, like, you're the one that brought up
Texas Tech. You're the one that brought up Utah. Being
like that coach has been there forever. They usually have
ten win seasons, they have one bat year. All of
a sudden, people forgetting about them. So I love to

(06:36):
see where you stand in this whole thing.

Speaker 2 (06:40):
Do you got greeneine in that juice?

Speaker 4 (06:42):
No, this is a company that doesn't sponsor the show,
so we won't give them a free shout out. But
it's pure caffeine and water. It's really healthy though, organic caffeine.
Let me turn this all right, first, derive from Green
Tea if you're wondering, even though I'm what one game
above five hundred or five hundred or in my record
against the number not so great, but I don't think

(07:04):
that's what's important. What you said is important, and that
is I nailed all this stuff in the preseason. Thank
you for that. You're so yes, Texas Tech, brand new
team except the quarterback position. Utah not only did people
write them off, they disrespected them a little bit in
writing them off. And this is the only head coach
in the Big twelve that drives a motorcycle to work
in Kyle Whittingham, So that's worth something. And then the

(07:26):
other thing is they, like Oklahoma, who's been getting all
this praise, went and got a quarterback in an offensive
coordinator and they packaged them and brought them in and
it's working for Oklahoma and it's working for Utah.

Speaker 2 (07:38):
Now.

Speaker 4 (07:38):
My one concern is after Week one, some people, maybe
even including me, ran their mouths a little bit because
Utah just ran it up on UCLA. Unbeknownst to us,
UCLA was dead in the water, kind of like Florida
State last year, so it didn't mean as much in retrospect.
But that doesn't mean they're not a good team, just
means I got to pull the hot air balloon down
just a little bit, all right, Texas Tech, Like I

(07:59):
told you guys a couple of weeks ago, they have
multiple starting defensive linemen from last year that are not hurt.
They did not transfer, they're just not starting anymore because
they brought in better players. They get to go on
the road. I think it's the best o line they'll
face all year in Utah. I think this is the
best defensive line Utah will face all year. Line of
scrimmage battle is what we'll decide it. But I really

(08:21):
hope even if people out there don't know these rosters,
and I can't blame you. If you don't know them,
you probably have a life to live. This is Texas
Tech Utah. At least you need to know those quarterbacks.
Because those quarterback Devin Dempier for Utah is I think
seven touchdown zero picks guy. Also their leading rusher and
Baron Morton's been really good as well, So these are
two really good quarterbacks. I'm going to lean Texas Tech.

(08:44):
I think it's the biggest game we know, the least
about out of all the matchups this weekend. However, we
may get treated to it a second time during conference
championship weekend.

Speaker 3 (08:55):
I like Texas Tech as well, and I think when
it goes I look at it like the transfer portal,
how the number one transfer portal class. I was nervous
in the beginning of the year when you look at
a team like Florida State and you're like, well, they
had so many chances for guys coming, how are you
going to get to jail?

Speaker 2 (09:07):
How you to come together? And I think we've been proven,
like when you bring good.

Speaker 3 (09:10):
Players in in the college football landscape, like they're gonna
gel relatively quickly and keep it moving forward. And that's
a big reason why I like Texas Teck in this one,
I love Utah. I love the motorcycle thing. By the
end of the day, text attack give me Utah. I
like Dan is it Dan Pierre Dan Pierre Davon.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
Yeah, he didn't want Den. He wants Devon.

Speaker 2 (09:27):
Dan Pierre.

Speaker 1 (09:28):
Devon Dampierre running mobile quarterback and he is the leading
rusher for the team every game.

Speaker 2 (09:33):
He's at the top of the rushing stats list.

Speaker 1 (09:35):
Along obviously he throws the ball really well too, offensive
line driving a motorcycle to work.

Speaker 2 (09:39):
For those three reasons, I'm going Utah.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I think a mobile quarterback is always dangerous in any
in any college football game. And so far, like they've done,
they whooped Ucla, they've handled business. The second two weeks
you were talking about Utah before the seas started again.

Speaker 2 (09:55):
You were you were dead on the site.

Speaker 1 (09:58):
With your all of your preseason picks, all your preseason rankings,
your quarterback rankings.

Speaker 4 (10:04):
Everything was right, everything except the ones that got screwed.

Speaker 2 (10:07):
Except the ones that got screwed up. That's not your fault.

Speaker 4 (10:09):
That's the that's players and coaches.

Speaker 2 (10:10):
That's the fault.

Speaker 1 (10:11):
Yeah, but uh Dan Pierre behind an offensive line, him
running the ball. I like U taw this game, and
it's at Utah, tough place to play.

Speaker 4 (10:18):
Time, a local still serving breakfast when they kick this
game off. Now, my question for the three of us
and anybody else out there, nobody thinks any team in
the Big twelve can win the national title, right, you're
just thinking about They're just it's good, hard nosed football.
It's entertaining to watch, but no one thinks about it.
The products getting better.

Speaker 1 (10:38):
It's like it's like, hey, instead of watching just like
Big ten at SEC and then maybe a couple of
acc sques, you basically never really watched the Big Twelve
this year.

Speaker 2 (10:46):
I feel like it's kind of hey, let me throw
on a Big twelve and I sail. They're always on
at weird times.

Speaker 4 (10:50):
Sure, yeah, no different this week. My question, which is
going to be unanswered today because we got to let
the game happen, is this the kind of game that
we see some kind of performance in to where when
you get done with it, you're saying more than just
that team can win the Big Twelve. Like if someone
so dominant, so emphatic, is Texas tech roster able to
flex so hard, is Utah z o lying able to

(11:10):
pay the way so thoroughly that you say, you know,
that's better than just a Big twelve team like that?
That could be a playoff team. That's my unanswered robull
question about this game. Someone's gonna win, of course, does
someone win in a fashion that makes you say I
actually need to pay attention to them in the playoff picture?

Speaker 2 (11:28):
My answer there leans no.

Speaker 4 (11:30):
I lean know as well.

Speaker 2 (11:31):
My answer there leans no.

Speaker 3 (11:33):
It's like one of these teams or both rink the
top fifteen go in and have a dominant performance against
the other.

Speaker 2 (11:39):
Yep, you're not thinking yourself, this is a playoff team.

Speaker 1 (11:41):
No, No, I thought you were talking about the national
champions national championship.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:45):
When I say playoff picture, I mean like a checkuple unfortunately,
and I feel bad for the Big twelve saying that
that checks out.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
Because it's like you look at Arizona State last year
when they were kind of making their push and they
were kind of like America was kind of root and
for him there at the end, like you can't sit
there and overlook Levitt Camps Kataboo, like they had guys.
It's like, oh, these are guys like in college football.
I don't know if like you Tall or Texas Tech,
like they've shown themselves yet. I think if they're gonna

(12:13):
do it, it's gonna be at the end of the
year if somebody has like whether it's an undefeated record,
a tough one loss, and guys are like jumping out
of the screen to where you're starting to watch them
the same way you did. Like Levitt was like a
recruited transferred that you probably talked about and you were
on a little bit, but he really came alive toward
the end of the season when they were starting to
get that national notoriety. Camp Skataboo like we you know,
spring football game, we knew about it.

Speaker 2 (12:34):
We skid about him before anybody else. We playing all
four quarters in the springs developed him. Yeah, I developed dude,
and we.

Speaker 3 (12:40):
Played that when we put did the spring the spring
game at ASU, Like I know multiple coaches, they're the
head coach. When I went to high school with the
special teams coaches, my head coach in high school. They
basically said that, hey, we gave you the best team,
like you're gonna you'll win this game, like it'll be awesome.
This Skataboo kid who just transferred like Sack Valley or
wherever it came from. He looks at the third quarter goes, hey,

(13:01):
I'm just gonna keep running.

Speaker 2 (13:02):
You have to this game.

Speaker 4 (13:05):
In the spring.

Speaker 1 (13:07):
My staff was even saying to hey, we're gonna have
to stop giving Scattaboo Carris, and I was like, no,
he's got to run the football like we only moved
the ball.

Speaker 2 (13:15):
He yeah. I even go one on one to end.

Speaker 1 (13:17):
Like hey, listen, I know this is a spring game,
Like there's gonna be a lot of women out there
after the game, like I need you to run the
football for this team.

Speaker 2 (13:23):
We have to win this. And it really was just
I was sitting there like, who the fuck is this
on the side, Like can we do something about that?
Like we actually just learned about sane lower bodies. Yeah,
we were literally in the ground floor the ground floor ball.

Speaker 4 (13:37):
That's beautiful. Man thirty two carries in the spring game. Yeah,
that's what you gotta do.

Speaker 2 (13:41):
You shaved off years. There's so much tricked off the tires.

Speaker 3 (13:47):
This episode is also brought to you by Form Energy.

Texas Tech versus Utah. You got to put in the work,
early mornings, long days. Form Energy helps you get it done.
Form Energy we do the work well.

Speaker 1 (14:20):
One game that is one game that I am excited
about is an Auburn at Oklahoma right now? Oklahoma's favored
six and a half. The over under on this game
is forty eight and a half.

Speaker 3 (14:29):
Ye, this a going back, coming back to your old
town seeing the ex girlfriend like Jackson Arnold could do it.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
Don't you think? No? Same?

Speaker 4 (14:42):
Wow?

Speaker 2 (14:42):
I think this has got Oklahoma.

Speaker 3 (14:44):
This has got Oklahoma big in a big way. I mean,
Jackson all those were two and fifty one yards against
ball State. Other than that, it's been mostly legs by
the guy. We're still having the confidence conversation about him,
Berenvana balls he did to my boys. But that defense,
the way they're able to disguise and distract a quarterback
who might be not as confident as he should be
second guess himself.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
A little bit confident.

Speaker 3 (15:05):
They're going to put him in passing situations. John Mattier,
John Mattier.

Speaker 4 (15:10):
Number one quarterback in the SEC right now.

Speaker 3 (15:12):
As advertised Dian Burks. And the defense is only held.
I think they've only given up one touchdown this year.
Who is that to Michigan?

Speaker 2 (15:22):
That's right? So I mean I think Oklahoma's legit.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Yeah, and at least having the experience too to talk
about the threat of like a Bryce Underwood coming in too.

Speaker 2 (15:32):
Hey, we can't let him ruin the game with his legs.

Speaker 1 (15:34):
Like Jackson Rrel he's got his legs with this this
game going back to Oklahoma as all this boys thought
about probably since last Monday. Yeah, and him going into Oklahoma,
but he's going to be in July.

Speaker 2 (15:46):
Yeah, gets I have.

Speaker 1 (15:48):
I'm talking about that feeling to where coaches you're going
over the game plan and you're not really hearing what's
being said because you're just in your mind thinking about
we get through. You know, we get through this week,
like next week's Oklahoma and the Oklahoma game's coming up,
going back home, going back around my former teammates.

Speaker 2 (16:03):
You know that defense is probably licking their chops to
play them.

Speaker 4 (16:06):
Yeah, it's a great spot for Jackson Ronald. There's a
fly on my shoe and I want to swing so hard.
I want to swing so hard, But I'm focused. I'm focused.
I'm Jackson Ronald right now. I don't love the spot
for Jackson Artle. In fact, I hate the spot for
Jackson Arutle. So you mentioned that they hadn't really been
able to throw the ball. If you look at his
spray chart. There is no green dot in the middle
of the field. Deep third there is no green dot,

(16:29):
not even just a token third and twenty three. Heave
it up against like roast beef Tech, there's nothing. So
if I just got a bunch of hitches and I
got a bunch of ten yard underneath stuff to the sidelines,
and I got to face Brent Venables on the road,
who always takes something away, I don't really think you're
going to run it down OU's throat. I don't think

(16:50):
quarterback run is going to be what decides it for Auburn.
You got to be able to throw the ball. Now,
that sounds like the Michigan game, So it sounds like
I'm profiling the Ou Michigan game. There's one big difference,
and that is Auburn's probably got four receivers better than
the best that Michigan has this particular year. They got
guys where if all else fails, you could reasonably throw
it up and expect them to just win a fight.

(17:12):
I don't really think there's gonna be much that aesthetically
is pleasing about Auburn's offensive plan here. They're gonna run it.
It's gonna be very limited and then their best hoping
to pass the game probably still letting anything over the
middle is probably just throwing it up. And Cam Coleman's
just an alien. We should be should be in another planet,
but he happens to be playing for Auburn. He just
went up and turned a fifty to fifty ball into

(17:33):
an eighty twenty ball. Wow, we're in the red zone now.
But if that's your plan, that's a really tough tight
rope to.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
It's not a good plan.

Speaker 4 (17:41):
Yeah. And conversely, like I Matier moved the ball fairly
well against Michigan, Michigan's good defense, I don't think Auburn
is Like, I don't think Auburn is to the level
they are. I think there are plays to be made
against the secondary. You mentioned Burks, but it's not a
one man show, like there are guys beneath him and
behind him that make him able to be featured because

(18:02):
you can't just focus in on him one on one.
I just I think it profiles so well for Oklahoma.
I think the fact that Auburn did get past Baylor
in Week one has kept this line under a touchdown
right now. But I think Oklahoma wins by ten or
more like I think I think they win by double digits.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
Yeah, this is and not to mention too, MATERI can
run the football as well, Yes, and which is which
is always? And he is poised in great on a
mic when the camera's on.

Speaker 3 (18:28):
His face, he's he's got it. He's got every girl
in Oklahoma scoring.

Speaker 4 (18:33):
It's got me.

Speaker 2 (18:36):
Got up. And hey, at least you've got to be
feeling good about that. Your sec rankings are.

Speaker 4 (18:44):
No one has screwed up my heisman pick yet that
feels good?

Speaker 2 (18:48):
Yeah? Mine standing the dirt.

Speaker 3 (18:49):
And one last thing about Jackson, Dexter and Arnold, like
if you're going to allow him to fill those like
small little five yard routes like venables will live in
that all day because he knows once he gets you
the red zone, no one does it better than him
in the red zone. And you're gonna get three and
a lot more times than not. Okhoma's getting six.

Speaker 4 (19:03):
That's why I actually think explosive passing touchdowns. Did I
think there's a remnant there?

Speaker 2 (19:12):
Oh?

Speaker 4 (19:12):
Something got killed.

Speaker 2 (19:13):
He might be laying on the floor.

Speaker 4 (19:14):
Look for blood.

Speaker 2 (19:16):
Yeah, let him die. If he dies, he dies.

Speaker 4 (19:19):
What was I talking about?

Speaker 2 (19:20):
Sorry? Red zone.

Speaker 4 (19:23):
Yeah, I don't really even care if you let him
complete a couple of explosives through the air. If they
score on the explosives through the air, that's really Auburn's shot.
There's a huge difference in oh fifty two yard pass
play pushed him out of bounds at the nine versus
he scored, because that is I mean, I really would
be more worried about Auburn's offense with them outside the
red zone, but in plus territory, than I would with

(19:46):
him in the red zone. Which is a really weird
sentence to say, But this is the kind of game
that sets up down You.

Speaker 2 (19:51):
Rather have them on the fifty than the twenty five.

Speaker 4 (19:53):
If i'm but if I'm ou defense, I'm actually more
comfortable when they're on the sixteen than when they're on
the thirty. When they're on the thirty, I got to
defend the whole field, and their only shot of scoring really,
to me in my mind, is heaving it. Well, no
one's really heaving it on the sixteen.

Speaker 2 (20:06):
What about the forty two yard line?

Speaker 4 (20:09):
I love it. I would prefer the thirty nine. I
love the forty two, though.

Speaker 1 (20:12):
I prefer the sixteen versus the thirty. Well, let's talk
about the forty two, because I don't feel like we've
talked a whole lot.

Speaker 2 (20:17):
That's a fringe of two yard line.

Speaker 4 (20:18):
That's a fringe rage.

Speaker 3 (20:19):
Yeah, you gotta have that. So we're all going Oklahoma.
We are, We're all going Oklahoma. We don't believe in
Hugh Freeze.

Speaker 2 (20:25):
Look at that. Unfortunately it was it was on my paper.
Really look at him. Hopefully a Husker sprice Underwood.

Speaker 1 (20:35):
Jeez, Illinois, Indiana, you go to Indiana. I'll tell you
what I love in this game, and it's the over
over fifty and a half.

Speaker 4 (20:46):
Did you how did your totals go last week?

Speaker 2 (20:49):
I can't remember.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
It looks like not great based on one Yeah, I
was gonna say those could have been.

Speaker 2 (20:54):
But maybe even my one in four the one win
was the over. Yeah, do we know that? I should
know that. I'd just say, you know, I'll say I
like Illinois, like Bby Lama.

Speaker 3 (21:05):
I think if you look at just who they've played Indiana,
it's like Kennesaw State, Indiana State olden Menton and it's
like there's there you can put a billion points on them.
Like teams look a lot better right now because they've
played nobody. Their numbers are better because they've played nobody,
and there's very few teams that have been, you know,
in real competition. And I guess like the real competition

(21:27):
Illinois has is Duke. They pay eight million dollars for
a quarterback and they held them in nineteen points. So
if I'm looking at that Indiana has, that was a
Tyler Morris, that wide receiver, and I think they kept
the production up like they lost them. They kept the
production up because of who they're playing. But you get
to Illinois, I think the defense is going to take
care of business. And I like them going on the
road and covering was it five and a half? I

(21:48):
have a card right here on y I'm asking Bloomington, Bloomington, Indiana.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Tough place to have.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
The first Big ten game I ever started was in Bloomington, Indiana.

Speaker 2 (21:56):
And I'll say this.

Speaker 3 (21:56):
The stands are very close to student section is right
behind the visiting benches. I look behind, what do I
see a lady with some major league yabos? Very distracting.
We still ended up winning that game.

Speaker 4 (22:08):
That's good. Better team now, too.

Speaker 3 (22:09):
Better team now, yes, Michigan will we probably actually at
the same Back then, we were terrible.

Speaker 2 (22:13):
Bloomington, Indiana, tough place to play.

Speaker 1 (22:17):
Indiana didn't play a whole lot before they faced the
Huskers last year at the deed of my Huskers, they
whooped us on a sunny Bloomington, Indiana day. I feel
like they're gonna I feel like both teams are gonna
score here because I like, what's what's Olduddy's name?

Speaker 2 (22:29):
Altenheimer? Altmeyer?

Speaker 1 (22:32):
His name should be yeah, alt Neimer, Like I like
that boy, Altneimer. He's a good football player. Last year,
and it's just it's something I love Beilma. I think
the culture like run game, you got Altenheimer, you got
some defense.

Speaker 2 (22:44):
Big Ten winning coach.

Speaker 1 (22:45):
He haunts my dreams all the time because of what
they did to us when he was at Wisconsin and
we played him in the Big Ten championship. But there's
something about Signetti that I just feel uneasy, Like if
I'm gonna be confident in going against this man, if
I'm gonna go anyway, it's I'm gonna pick a total
on this game and it's gonna be over because I
think there's gonna be a lot of points scored.

Speaker 2 (23:03):
So the first time I hated it more than the
second time.

Speaker 4 (23:06):
You love Lucas Altenheimer moving the ball up and down
the field. You love points in this game. I love points.
You love Fernando Mendoza transferring in from I think it
was cal and then where he was last year. First off,
you kind of taught me into the over. But I
am going to take a side. But in my free time,
in my social life, I may bet some on the over.
I'm with you. I think Illinois is going to cover here.

(23:28):
I actually picked him to win, but that's not what
we're doing here. We're just learned Florida with you.

Speaker 2 (23:34):
I would I would definitely say that Illini this.

Speaker 4 (23:36):
Game because of Woltenheimer.

Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, if this is a pick them, I like Illinois.
But when we got we get the points, and then
Signetti's sitting over the five and a half points different.

Speaker 4 (23:45):
So if we're just picking them, give me the five
and a half point dog out right. However, if we're
going spreads Illinois because it's a tough place to play,
it's tough came to pick pick it's buzzbo man, he
just killed a fly.

Speaker 2 (24:10):
Give me over.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
This is a prime tongue game. It's a prime tongue game.
I'm gonna be honest. The dog got right, not a favorite.
I love it. That's that's a man who needs to
be betting totals total.

Speaker 1 (24:36):
Oh good times, boys, man, We're really just you can
feel it, and you can feel it in this room
right now.

Speaker 2 (24:43):
We're up a stepisode to bring you booster with the Boys.

Speaker 3 (24:45):
If we don't already know, the Boys of a fifty
profit boost tooken available every college football Saturday. That's a
fifty percent boost on any college football Saturday bet. Just
to open up the FanDuel sportsbook gap this Saturday and
look out for the boosting with the Boys.

Speaker 2 (24:58):
PBT Florida Miami. That's right now, Florida Miami.

Speaker 3 (25:03):
Miami minus seven and a half is the same spread
that Florida had against l s U. Will we say
the LSU game, So let's use you take care of business.
Miami has a better offense than l s U does Florida.
Billy Napier like five interceptions.

Speaker 2 (25:19):
Let's be clear Florida should have won that cover last week.
Let's be clear they didn't.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah, but also let's be clear, let's be clear, five
picks and you lose Mina had a day, should be
my uncle.

Speaker 3 (25:34):
However, Florida a good point ship. They had five interceptions.
So if you're billion Napier, what do you do? Like, hey,
we want to run the ball now, Well, that's only
gonna get.

Speaker 2 (25:43):
You so far.

Speaker 3 (25:44):
We want to keep the ball out DJ likewise hand, Well,
he's got through five interceptions. I'm sure it's confidence as
is at all time high right now? So all then
Miami is covering.

Speaker 2 (25:56):
That's it.

Speaker 4 (25:56):
I got a question.

Speaker 2 (25:57):
Go ahead.

Speaker 4 (25:58):
So if you throw five picks the week before, like
you said, ideally, you'd like to have a run game
to lean on. Right. However, most times if you throw
the ball fifty times in a game, it's cause you
don't have a run game, right, You're forced to throw
the ball. What if I told you that Florida's leading
tailback is averaging six point five yards per carry and
they're still throwing it fifty seven point five percent of

(26:19):
the time so far this year, you would think to yourself,
that makes no sense. And you're right, you make a
good point. That makes no sense, thank you. So now
the time to run the ball. Unfortunately it's Miami, right,
You're not really going to run the ball all that
successfully on Miami. So your one shot is I believe
in their secondary I believe it's been retooled. But relatively speaking,

(26:40):
you are far more likely to do business through the
air against Miami than on the ground. How you call
in the game if your napier, are you really just
etch a sketch left to right erase the board? I
don't remember last week. My jobs on the line are
seasons on the line. I'm just gonna let him turn
it lose forty five or fifty times again, do you
really feel good about it that?

Speaker 2 (27:00):
I think you know.

Speaker 1 (27:01):
I think you got to run the football because you
want to get the Miami offense is really good. I
think you want to keep the ball out of Carson
Beck's hands and those receivers. You do want to solve
the game down, whether people are going to say it's
a reaction to the five picks or not. Like when
you look at this game isolated, you want to run
the football more, and obviously if you have the stats
that back it up, like we do need to run
the football more. It's just keeping the ball, like, you
got to keep this game close somehow, because if you

(27:23):
if you're going to lean on a Lagway who just
threw five picks. He could be having the yips right now.
He could be seeing goes there if you're going to
put the ball in his hands forty or fifty times, Like,
I'm not feeling comfortable as a coach if I'm in
that situation.

Speaker 2 (27:35):
It's we got to run the ball.

Speaker 1 (27:36):
We got to put a DJ in some better situations,
moving around out of the pocket, easier throws, everything else.
You're not trying to win the game in the first half.
I think you, if anything, you want to drag this
game out. Try to lean on him and win in
the you know, win in the fourth quarter. And he
talks about the wounded if you're going to have a chance.

Speaker 3 (27:50):
You talked about the wounded animal last week, referring to Florida,
And it's like you had the etch and sketch, but
it's like, how many times are you gonna shake it up? Yeah,
because you just lost the US after you just got Yeah,
that is a dead animal. This is Unfortunately, billion Apiro
had to the guillotine right now, slowly, slowly, but surely.
And I think Miami is covering this.

Speaker 2 (28:08):
One wants to take this take the over nod. Yeah,
do it again.

Speaker 4 (28:15):
It's there behind you before you take it.

Speaker 2 (28:18):
Though, I'm taking Florida. You should have looked behind you.

Speaker 1 (28:22):
I called the game with Florida last week. I can't
help the DJ through five picks. I called that game.

Speaker 2 (28:28):
This is this is a Josh Paige. Yeah you did failed.
They failed you.

Speaker 1 (28:31):
Yeah, like I watched that game like they had every
opportunity to win that football game. They had every opportunity
to cover as well.

Speaker 3 (28:37):
Yeah, incredible, Right, And so just so we're following, you're
also taking Indiana and we're going to back again.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
But you're taking over over because the dog.

Speaker 3 (28:47):
Because I know you seem like you're really thinking clearly
right now, you're taking the over.

Speaker 2 (28:50):
You're not taking Indiana because I think we could have
thought he took Indiana as well.

Speaker 4 (28:54):
Right, I got the over.

Speaker 2 (28:57):
I think we all know taking Florida.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
You all know, and the audience watching at home right
now too, Like my head's not clear, my head's not clear.

Speaker 2 (29:07):
But I'm taking Indiana Illinois.

Speaker 1 (29:09):
I'm taking over in the total points and I'm taking
Florida plus seven and a half.

Speaker 4 (29:14):
If I could get the.

Speaker 2 (29:16):
I don't know what to do.

Speaker 4 (29:17):
From last week spliced UF with the my head's not clear.
I would appreciate that. Yeah, I would appreciate that I
am with what.

Speaker 2 (29:25):
Day's clear and that his head's not clear.

Speaker 4 (29:27):
Yeah, that's yeah. My instinct is to go decide you
went Florida. But I did it last week. I got
let down. And you're right, like the minus there were
minus four turnovers. They turned it over five times. Yeah,
that screams all right, bounce back. My fear is you're
right and it's just a dead team now. But they
didn't quit on him last year. They had every reason to.

(29:48):
They didn't mail it in last year. What if they're
just not good by the way, you mentioned the yips?
How about my top two preseason quarterbacks in the SEC
now have the yips. I'm watching Arch Manning and DJ
Lagway now to even be control.

Speaker 3 (30:01):
That's not on you. That's not on you, and you
should have been right about that. And also arch Manning
reporter first by Jerremy Clump.

Speaker 4 (30:08):
Is hurt, but denied by Steve Serkus.

Speaker 2 (30:11):
Denied so aggressively.

Speaker 1 (30:13):
That's like, well, okay, so aggressively, so aggressively.

Speaker 2 (30:18):
He tell you that? Did he say? That's all right?

Speaker 3 (30:21):
Guess he's not hurt, like these Obviously, we had this
conversation in the bus, like if you are Sark, you
eventually you have to come out and be like, yes,
he's hurt, because you need to protect your player as well. Yeah,
if you want players to come and play for you,
you want them to feel like you're going to look
out for them when it comes to the media. And
if he's not playing this one and you come out
week eight or nine, like by the way, Arch has
been hurt, it's a little late. So the time's kind

(30:42):
of ticking on that for like, hey, are you going
to protect your players?

Speaker 4 (30:45):
Do you think that the concern in Austin. Maybe if
we confirm that he's hurt, Garrettnusmyer is going to go
I've been hurt too. We're still winning.

Speaker 2 (30:52):
Somebody did call that? Who did that week one of
the show. I don't know how well I know, but
the audience doesn't know.

Speaker 4 (31:00):
Paate State medical sources. Yeah, they really do bad, one
hundred percent. They really know you were.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
On the inside there.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
But even getting back to that point again, it's not
like the Gators like laid down and quitting that game,
and it was like an abysmal game for Napier they
still had penalties that you know.

Speaker 2 (31:16):
Undisciplined football.

Speaker 1 (31:17):
But it's just like you know, your queue out there,
your best players out there throwing picks in. My hopes
is that my man just had a bad game. They're
all rallying around him right now because they see all
the you know, each side of the ball, the offensive
line being having a really good defense. Hopefully the defense
is over there patting them on the back. He We're
going to bail you out. And they're hungry for this
game because this is I mean, Miami at Florida. This

(31:37):
place is gonna be rocket yeah, break or Florida at Miami.
My fears.

Speaker 3 (31:41):
They say they're right around billion napier last year, and
it's like, yeah, it's like playing a game of Jango,
like you're gonna stack her and keep pulling out pieces,
keep on pieces. But the it's pretty high now. Yeah,
and you like, you don't really believe in billion Napier.
But it's like we got players, we got DJ Liway,
but DJ now has done five interceptions.

Speaker 2 (31:56):
So from an offensive.

Speaker 3 (31:57):
Standpoint, coaching standpoint, situation awareness, and Florida, there's not a
lot of things to hold on to. From a foundational
standpoint and be like, we feel confident in this, But.

Speaker 1 (32:06):
How about the explosion of excitement when you're in Jayka
and you pull that one out, you think it's over,
and it stays yeah, and everybody goes crazy, goes crazy.
It could be Florida this week. Florida plus seven and
a half. Yeah, Miami confident?

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Where are you going? Have you John alone in the
sand yet?

Speaker 4 (32:24):
Over? I went to Miami and I laid the points
because the other thing I keep thinking about is Florida
could play good and still lose. Miami's a really good team. Yeah,
you know everyone, I kind of fell victim to this.
Earlier in the week, I made it all about Florida.
Well if they do this, if they what if they
don't turn the ball over at all and they still
just get beat because the other guy is a better team.
What if that happens. Carson Becks looked incredible.

Speaker 2 (32:47):
It's a fair point.

Speaker 4 (32:48):
I mean, they've erased, they got they got a better
I think they've got a better collection of pass catchers
this year than they did last year. And the huge
concern with Miami was they're replacing their top six receivers. Well,
you know, I mean That's why college football is the
way it is when you can portal guys in. It's
not a three year rebuild for all these programs, and

(33:08):
Miami is one of them who can answer a question
really quickly. So quarterbacks answered, receivers answered. That's why I
keep going to the secondary because they they swear their
secondary is improved, and it is improved because it was
terrible last year. But if there's a flaw or a
deficiency on Miami's team that hasn't been exposed yet, it's
the secondary. That's why that's their best shot this week.

(33:30):
But you're counting on a guy who turned it over
five times, which in one game is more than one
hundred and twenty one FBS teams have the whole season,
by the way, You're counting on that to be your hope,
and I don't trust it. That's why I'm laying the
points with Miami.

Speaker 5 (33:45):
Carson Beck is your Heisman favorite right now?

Speaker 4 (33:46):
Plus seven to fifty, My goodness, whoms to defunct that?
Where's my tier number two?

Speaker 5 (33:53):
Number two? I think it was at nine to fifty.

Speaker 1 (33:58):
Are you able to track if you hit a FanDuel,
how many people rocked with you on?

Speaker 2 (34:03):
Like the Jommetier stuff.

Speaker 4 (34:05):
Probably, So it's a good it's a good point. You
need to go find it. And I need to know
every one of those people. I don't think many of
them followed.

Speaker 1 (34:13):
You just have to do a show, you know how,
Like at the top of your Bed we got people
tune in from Indian at Kansas, Georgia. You just need
to do a show to where it's just ten minutes
and you just rattled up Clark.

Speaker 2 (34:22):
Yeah, yeah, the show. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
I love the John Tiers Sick whoever they are, I
love them.

Speaker 2 (34:33):
Yeah, here we go.

Speaker 4 (34:36):
We're getting We're either getting closer or we're there? Are
we there?

Speaker 2 (34:39):
It's Wednesday. That's the hard part about it. Bro.

Speaker 5 (34:44):
Is there a reason y'all two are separated on this episode?

Speaker 2 (34:48):
I thought Josh thought it was the more appropriate thing.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
Me.

Speaker 1 (34:50):
I'm fine, Yeah, I was just I was sitting down
on that chair. In terms of hey, do you mind
moving over there? We need to put Josh paper between us.

Speaker 4 (34:56):
I was like, all right, I just wanted a warm chair.

Speaker 2 (34:59):
Yeah, you forget you did the intro. So we were
sitting there.

Speaker 1 (35:03):
But before when I was just chilling, I was reading
my notes were Yeah, I was I was you saw me?
I was like doing yoga. I was doing breath works right, yea,
Will do you mind moving? We going with Josh Payton
the middle chair so they can separate.

Speaker 3 (35:15):
Us true classic game of the week. Every Weekend's got games,
but only one fits just right. This is true classic
game of the week. That game is going to be
The Busting Bull Michigan in Nebraska. Matt Ruhle Year three,
Bryce Underwood, Dylan Reyola. You want to feel good on
game day, even though you're nervous about your team.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
What do you do? You grab the true classic pants,
a true classic T shirt. You put it on. You
feel good, look good, and hopefully your team plays good.
Let's get into it.

Speaker 3 (35:44):
Three and oer the Michigan Wolverines going to Link in Nebraska.
Game started. I think I believe Will. According to Will,
it opened up at Michigan minus six and a half.
Turns out that was debunk That was a lie.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
It was.

Speaker 3 (35:59):
Minus three and a half when I placed a thousand
dollars bet on Michigan in June.

Speaker 2 (36:02):
Was it a lie?

Speaker 4 (36:04):
Wait? What was the claim? Let's run this right now,
I said.

Speaker 3 (36:10):
While this game opened up at minus three, the world
still sees how good Michigan is something along those lines,
it Will responded without doing any homework. This game was
actually all six and a half in the summertime, and
I see these tweets, I think I placed the bet
on Michigan Nebraska in the summertime when we went over
to the bust and Bowl uh with one of our episodes.

Speaker 2 (36:29):
So I go back June tenth, twenty twenty five.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
I placed one thousand dollars bet on Michigan minus three
and a half, which was the line.

Speaker 1 (36:37):
But what he's he's failing to realize and understand is
on June ninth, it was minus.

Speaker 2 (36:42):
Six and a half.

Speaker 1 (36:43):
I placed a bomb on Nebraska and it moved the
line down the three and a half the next day.

Speaker 2 (36:49):
So when he took it and he said.

Speaker 1 (36:51):
Oh, it's minus three and a half, I also sent
a photo confirming like, heybody, look closer, this is what
it was.

Speaker 4 (36:56):
Can ask a personal question, go ahead, it's really personal,
and so if you don't want to add, you don't have
to answer what constitutes a bomb in Will Compton's world. Respectfully,
you're living in a different world than most of our
friends watching, So like what people would be surprised.

Speaker 1 (37:12):
It's not like a My bomb is when I put
a grand on something, your bomb.

Speaker 2 (37:17):
That's that's the sign of will Compton having confidence. That's
a sign. Yeah, that's that's bomb setting.

Speaker 1 (37:22):
It's a lot, a lot like I'm in there, like
I'm in the fandos where I'm responsible a hundred piece
two fifty depending on how many games I do, and
you know, it would be like two fifty or one hundred.
Sometimes if I'm feeling really confident, I'll go five hundred.
And then I'm sprinkling a lot of parlays. I love
the parlays. Josh Pate, if you were a parlay guy'd
be Joshi Parlay. But I'll you know, I'm sprinkling fifty

(37:42):
on this. You got a long one, let me both
throw ten bucks on that.

Speaker 2 (37:45):
That one might hit. Let me get a taste of that.

Speaker 4 (37:48):
So a thousand like that is ten out of ten
confidence for thousand.

Speaker 2 (37:52):
In Willie Sees World's that's that's a bomb.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
Wow, WILLI sees World, one thousand dollars is a massive
nuke you would put on a bet slip.

Speaker 2 (37:59):
Yep.

Speaker 3 (38:00):
Yeah, we had this conversation on Monday. I thought the
same thing like, Okay, Will's putting a thousand on it.
That's a nuke for Will Compton.

Speaker 2 (38:05):
What what a NW like? How would I say that
I'm confident in this game? So go Gordon.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
It actually texted you both my bet slip for this
game if you want to take a look at it.
Oh so, when I think about the University of Michigan
and what they're able to do to teams.

Speaker 2 (38:28):
By the way, Taylor put fifty grand on the game.

Speaker 4 (38:30):
Yeah, this is not the metric system. This is real dollars.

Speaker 2 (38:32):
It was a real dollars as domestic.

Speaker 4 (38:38):
Are you sure about this?

Speaker 2 (38:39):
Yes?

Speaker 3 (38:40):
Here's why when you look at a blue chip, blue
blood program like the University of Michigan, the grittiness, the toughness,
the trenches is the things you want to look at
a team that says you think you're this, We're gonna
make you question who you are as a culture. We're
going to make you question everything you've done leading up
to this point. Example, Ohio State twenty and a half point

(39:01):
favorites going into Columbus last year. They decided they wanted
to play the same game we play. We win that
game thirteen to ten. We don't have passing. Last year
we play usc their first year in the Big Ten.
Everyone's really excited they can throw the ball over the yard.
We decided to go on a two minute at the
end of the game through the ground when we were
unable to pass the ball. You stack the box with
eight and we make you question how bad do we

(39:24):
really want this game?

Speaker 2 (39:25):
Now?

Speaker 3 (39:26):
I meant every word I said when I love Nebraska.
It really is GBR after Go Blue for me. I
think the fans there should be very excited about what
they have on their roster, what they've been able to
do Matt rul in year three. But when it comes
down to these one score games you're talking about where
you really have to figure out who you are, and
you were in one this year. That gives you confidence.

(39:46):
But then you have a team like Michigan which doesn't
have as much riding on this year. Everyone in the
Michigan world is like, hey, we're really excited about our quarterback.
Get a cop more piece round them, Like we're competing
for a national championship next year. If we do some
portal stuff, team will make you second guests at the
worst times and for sixty minutes when you have seventy

(40:07):
thousand people in Link in Nebraska, and you're so excited
about the opportunity ninety thousand people where the biggest banner
in that stadium is look how many cell outs we've
had people live, die, and breathe and in Nebraska for
that school, I want them to have all the hope
in the world.

Speaker 2 (40:22):
And unfortunately this game might be a blowout.

Speaker 4 (40:25):
Yet again, it's a lot of money.

Speaker 2 (40:29):
Yeah, it's a.

Speaker 4 (40:31):
Lot of money. It's a lot riding on it. I
feel like you want this game. I feel like you
need this game psychologically. You talk about for me, I'm
not just speaking for you. I'm speaking for Nebraska too.

Speaker 1 (40:45):
Oh you're You're one thousand percent spot on, bro. This
is like there's the personal stuff, like, yeah, I want
to beat I want to beat Taylor badly at this game.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
I want to trust me. I want to have some.

Speaker 1 (40:57):
Messages to old Davy Pizza boy as well, but Nebraska too,
Like you know, everybody's you got the fodder see out
there in the social media world, Taylor, Hey, don't show
will this like you got the top ten scoring offense,
top ten scoring defense on the sample side that we've played,
our passing defense is like the number one pass defense

(41:18):
in this first three span of games since the year
two thousand, So there is a lot of that stuff.
There's also like, could Dylan Rala be in the Heisman talk? Absolutely,
stat wise, statistically he could. But none of that matters
unless you get a win like this against a team
like Michigan. You can talk about its Cincinnati, we barely

(41:39):
we eked it out against Cincinnati. It's a one score game.
Huskers of the pass find a way to lose that game.
That's where like optimistically, like when everybody's talking about, oh,
you barely won that game. No, No, the Siico Nebraska
fans know what optimism to pull out of that game,
whether it's on special teams, whether it's on the having
a big places by the defense in the second quarter
right before have to get points in the icy game

(42:00):
at the end of the game. But it's like that
little that that guy of nerves of anxiety just tap
it on the window of like, Hey, what's gonna happen
this week against a team like Michigan. This is another
This is another stone that the rule era needs to capture.
And it hasn't happened, like you twenty seven games losing
streak in a row against ap top twenty five opponents.

(42:22):
That stats there the world, in the headspace that Nebraska
lives in, this game means everything. This game, because we
beat Michigan, You're in the College Football playoff conversation. We
beat Michigan. Dylan Rail was in the Heisman conversation. I'm
confident because I know what me and coach will have
been building these last three years. I'm confident. But just

(42:45):
to speak for Nebraska as a whole, this game means
a shit ton. I also remember the feeling we had
a couple of years ago when we had the bust
and bawl and we went down fourteen, nothing like that,
and they have a long drive, punch it in, they
tip a pass, pick it off, and we needed more
Oriol Stadium on third and one against Blake Korum and
this Joe Moore offensive line, and we didn't have Memorial

(43:06):
Stadium because of all the pain that we've endured since
the Pollin era, since Willie See, we have a beat
Michigan since Taylor Wan was on the field two years
in a row.

Speaker 2 (43:16):
His senior year we beat him at home. His junior year,
we beat him at our place.

Speaker 1 (43:19):
That's the last time Nebraska's beat Michigan. So I'm aware
that is factual. You look at the last time Nebraska
beat Michigan was twenty thirteen at Michigan seventeen to thirteen.

Speaker 2 (43:32):
That is factual.

Speaker 4 (43:33):
Continue, so like there's a whole role there.

Speaker 2 (43:36):
There's so much history.

Speaker 1 (43:37):
That's like going into the feeling of every Husker fan
waking up on Saturday morning. For me, it's a little
different because there's some personal There's like a personal thing
where I want to get Taylor. Yeah, he's got a
bigger bond to me because he's got some cash. He's
got some sugar Daddy cash as well. But I am
as confident as ever going in to this game because

(43:57):
I feel like I know what kind of product we have.
It's just this game's gonna be one of the trenches.
I'm not worried about Rool and the guys on the outside.
I think we got some I think we got some
good skill guys. I think we got a good secondary.
To me, it's about the trenches. Michigan does a good
job running the football. They have a good front seven.
I wish we had fifteen still on Nebraska's roster and
Bryce Underwood's.

Speaker 2 (44:17):
A hell of a player.

Speaker 1 (44:18):
He's a tough player, and he's to say he decided
last week. There's no eyes downfield the whole time as
he's getting near the line of scrimmage to throw deep.
Once he decides he's gonna break the pocket a little bit,
he puts in his arm and he's gonna take off.
And we had trouble with soarsmy, So there are those nerves.
But this is I'm very excited because we're gonna get
a real test this We can see what kind of
team Nebraska has.

Speaker 4 (44:39):
If I believe what I said when we were sitting
on the bus over here in the preseason about Nebraska.
If I believe that the rule rule is real. If
I believe that Dylan Ryola can progress under Dana Holgerson.
If I believe the wide receiver court Nebraska is among
the more underrated position groups in the Big Ten. If
I believe the program is going to arrive, if I

(45:01):
believe they're a playoff contender, which you and I both
believed preseason, this is the stage that's got to happen
on So while the viewers may watch and say, hey,
I know why he's nervous. I know why he's at
the very least excited, even though he's got a national
championship in the past couple of years. Why would I
be nervous? Well, because I feel like I've got a
lot motionally writing on this as well, and I need

(45:22):
it to happen.

Speaker 2 (45:23):
The biggest Nebraska fan nationals tryna see your words.

Speaker 4 (45:25):
That's documented. Yeah, yeah, that's the Pate model.

Speaker 2 (45:28):
Has the wrong team favorite.

Speaker 4 (45:30):
Let's talk about the Pate model. It has the wrong
team favorite here. It thinks Nebraska not only covers, it
thinks Nebraska wins outright. So if I believe all that,
but I still respect Michigan, and I do believe that
them tasting their blood on the road at Oklahoma means
a lot for this game. The conventional college football wisdom
in me says, Nope, until the team's arrived, they're not

(45:52):
gonna arrive against the team that's already arrived or a
program that's already arrived, and Michigan would be the latter
in Nebraska would be the former here. But then the
other side of me says, didn't you just watch Texas
A and m go do something people say they'd never do.
Last week on the road at Notre Dame. Isn't this
College football doesn't cannot just turn into had not all

(46:12):
the time. So this Saturday, I'm actually gonna roll with
the model, and I'm gonna pick Nebraska to win out right,
And I'm gonna believe in Matt rule and you and
the program that you guys have fifty to fifty built.
And I want to see what Memorial Stadium's like in
the fourth quarter when the game's on the line.

Speaker 3 (46:30):
It's unfortunate you have to go down to It's unfortunate
you have to go down with him. We inter up
this episode to bring you Mikkel Ultra. Mikeel Ultra's got
this idea. We love play for an Ultra. It's all
about those little friendly competition when there's an Ultra on
the line.

Speaker 1 (46:46):
Yeah, Like if we were playing a pig, that's where
I'd take you down and claim my Ultra.

Speaker 3 (46:51):
I think we've all seen you play pig. Come on, man,
you know I'd own you. That beer would be mine.

Speaker 2 (46:54):
See that's exactly my point.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Doesn't matter if it's touchdowns, hoops, ping pong, cornhole, whatever,
bragging rights taste better with an Ultra superior.

Speaker 3 (47:03):
Is worth playing for Michelobultra Superior light Beer.

Speaker 2 (47:07):
It's going to be a juicy atmosphere. Again, It's like.

Speaker 3 (47:11):
Jury tells us it'll be a juicy atmosphere for the
first fifteen minutes of the game.

Speaker 2 (47:14):
Well the game you went to didn't you go to
Colorado last year? Yeah, you guys were in that game. Yeah,
these were actually up the whole time, right.

Speaker 1 (47:21):
Yeah, but it was juicy, juicy.

Speaker 2 (47:26):
This is going to be Colorado two point oh.

Speaker 3 (47:28):
I remember going to halftime and being like, and I
think I said this to g was Gee. I said, like,
Colorado was the worst coach team I've ever seen in
my life.

Speaker 2 (47:36):
It was.

Speaker 3 (47:37):
It was so bad, But yeah, Lincoln was rocking. Lincoln
was absolutely rocking.

Speaker 1 (47:42):
Then look a couple of years ago, Willie See wasn't
on the jumbo tron.

Speaker 2 (47:47):
Yeah, I think we're I think.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
To get into a crazy main character syndrome to the
point where will actually thinks his words are affecting like
fan base. Like he told me yesterday, He's like, I
don't want to say too much right now because I
don't want bulletin board material.

Speaker 2 (48:02):
For I'm thinking, you've completely.

Speaker 3 (48:07):
Lost yourself so much so that two years ago, September
twenty third, twenty twenty three, Will is yelling at me
fingers like we're gonna be your candy ass for Buffington Wheels,
and now's hey, that's again, that's right before the game.

Speaker 2 (48:22):
I had the mic in mind. I'm trying to get to.

Speaker 3 (48:24):
Know on this September twenty third, was on the bus
that was shot on Monday. And so I sit here
Monday and Will comes in and shakes my hand. You know,
we both done the same thing. We walk in the back,
we talk our little shit, and then we walk out
and the next person comes in and I'm just like,
what's changed? Cause two years ago, when everyone's like Michigan

(48:45):
could win the Nation championship, probably Will has the roster,
Do has the coaching staff. But then Will, coming off
another non bowl season, first year quarterback or not even
you didn't have Rila yet you look committed to your program,
and he's like working, hiring baby, eating your candy ass,
We're gonna do this and we had a puncher's chance
all these things, and it's like, that's the fight I

(49:06):
love at a Will Compton. The fight He's in a
drag no matter what. Nebraska cornhusters. When you're down, I'm
gonna I'm gonna keep it. When we're up, I'm gonna
be waving that flag. Now we get to this week
and it's like it's like a little turtle. He's just
kind of like he gets a little scared, little spook,
like the moment's here and you're kind of having paralysis
by analysis because like all the words, all the thought

(49:27):
process where you're like, we're gonna be X, Y and Z,
so okay, well, now's the time. It's Saturday. Saturday is
right around the corner, and there's just crickets. There's a
I don't want to give the football team more bulletin
board material as if a thirty five year old at
the time of the game, thirty six year old will
have that much weight bearing on a game. And I

(49:48):
just say to myself, I'm getting to the point where
if Nebraska doesn't win this.

Speaker 4 (49:54):
Game, oh no, don't say this will is done.

Speaker 2 (49:58):
And I'm not I'm not. I'm not sure.

Speaker 3 (50:00):
I'm not trying to important to these are words again they'
I'm not trying to. But like I can see the
pressure and if he's feeling that he's not even in
the building. It's like, I got a I got a
freshman quarterback who you know, obviously we don't have the
game we want against Oklahoma, but he's in the third quarter,

(50:20):
still jumping out, excited to be there. It doesn't It
seems like he's too ignorant at this point to flinch
at adversity, Like he doesn't really know the pressures of
like what us sitting here as fans are.

Speaker 2 (50:30):
And if he feels this way, how is Matt Ruhle feeling.

Speaker 3 (50:33):
I popped on the screen the other day of his
podcast and he goes, I'm so excited to see you.

Speaker 2 (50:39):
I thought, oh are you?

Speaker 4 (50:42):
Are you?

Speaker 2 (50:43):
Bud? Yeah? Cool?

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Jeckler sends me a blue heart emoji and then crying
tears this week, and I'm thinking thinking about it way
too like, hey, you gotta play sixteen minutes.

Speaker 2 (50:56):
I'm not on the grid iron.

Speaker 3 (50:57):
It'd be a lot better in Michigan's favor if I
was back then, But unfortunately I can't play the game
for him. But you can't lose this game on Monday
Tuesday Wednesday. And that's what they've done so far. We've
lost the game on Monday Tuesday Wednesday.

Speaker 2 (51:09):
The pressure is building up so much.

Speaker 3 (51:10):
It's like I truly sit here and I'm like, maybe
call Biff Pogi beg.

Speaker 2 (51:16):
You gotta give him one, gotta give him more.

Speaker 1 (51:21):
This is the same guy that was shut down after
the Oklahoma game asking me, Willie see what do I
do on the internet? What kind of picture? What do
I post? How do I talk to the fan base
after losing. I've never been in this spot, this spot
plenty of times, begging for some some guidance and advice
from MS King.

Speaker 2 (51:37):
That's what I want. That's the guy I want right now.
Keep going and.

Speaker 4 (51:41):
Listen, bulletin boar coming, bulletin boar, didn't coming going.

Speaker 2 (51:44):
He wants it, he wants to I'm sure listen.

Speaker 1 (51:46):
Michigan's probably is gonna play a lot of Willy Ce
tape before this game kicks off.

Speaker 2 (51:49):
They need some motivation coming into this place once again.
Main character syndrome, keep going, you're doing it.

Speaker 1 (51:55):
I like Nebraska. I like Nebraska. I think we finally,
I think we finally. I think we finally turned the page.
And that excitement's been like the It's like the same
excitement like Cincinnati. It's like this slow burn because you're
just you just feel like a caged animal. You just
feel like a caged animal. This is such a moment
for us. I hope Bud Crawford walks out with all
of his belts leading the Huskers in.

Speaker 2 (52:17):
The Memorial Stadi.

Speaker 1 (52:19):
I think the ninety seven championship team is going to
be there too. Everyone everyone's this is this is out there.
My face will be painted and it's gonna be fucking awesome. Man,
I'm excited.

Speaker 3 (52:35):
I will say this in all seriousness. If you guys
win this game, I'm gonna shake your hand. I'm gonna
be happy for Nebraska. And I'm this is not a bit.
I will mean that.

Speaker 2 (52:43):
I feel the same way with you. You I see you
can ask that is not the case. This is a
new this is a new year, this is a new team,
this is a new Willie.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
See.

Speaker 1 (52:54):
We lose this game, I'm not down at Like, yeah,
I will feel like the world's crumbling. You know, I'm
gonna do my thing about it. But you know, it's
like we were talking before the season, there's there's four
Like if we're talking about Nebraska football being a potential
college football playoff team, there's four games on the schedule.
It's Michigan's USC, it's Penn State, and it's Iowa.

Speaker 2 (53:14):
And this is the first one. So even it's like
the second or third time he's told us this, this
needs it.

Speaker 3 (53:21):
Listen, you've had two two days since Monday to think
about a bet. I told you, whatever you want to do,
we'll do. I like, I like for.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
Something to come to the table now, okay, so I
would like to add to.

Speaker 1 (53:33):
If you're open to it. We are locked in on
a bet for shaved heads and shaved faces for a
loser or like to throw in throw.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
On the table loser of this game.

Speaker 1 (53:44):
Fifty thousand dollars from Busting with the Boys goes to
the nil collective of the winning team.

Speaker 2 (53:50):
Why wouldn't it be personal? Well, I'll throw. You don't
want to donate to Michigan if I would love doing
it to Michigan.

Speaker 1 (53:56):
Absolutely if it's the bust and Bowl, So why not
with the bust and Bowl bus themed Busting with the.

Speaker 2 (54:01):
Boys fifty dollars? So Nebraska loses, Nebraska loses Busting with
the Boys, I donate as well as you to Michigan. Yes,
all right, yeah, I think that's a fun hold on.
I think also if you want to add something more
to that.

Speaker 3 (54:19):
If Michigan wins this game until they play next time,
you have to concede to the fact that Michigan is
the nineteen ninety seven National champions.

Speaker 2 (54:31):
As long as it's vice versa.

Speaker 3 (54:32):
Yeah, absolutely, okay, but we're not done to do that.

Speaker 2 (54:39):
I want you to grow your hair out. Oh that's
off the table. That's too much. That's where you draw
the line all the year.

Speaker 1 (54:46):
Same Just for the record, we lose this game, I'm
gonna get Josh paiterr cut, I'm gonna get the buzz
back there, and I'm gonna I'm gonna bick this top
part and I'm gonna have aviators on.

Speaker 4 (54:58):
Yeah don't. I don't big.

Speaker 1 (54:59):
But as far as the growing out there, that's that's.
Here's what we got on the table. Shaved face and head,
no eyebrows. Fifty thousand bustling with the boys donates to
the n I n I collective of the winning team.
And then what was that The loser has to basically
concede the nineteen ninety seven National championship until until win again,

(55:20):
until they play again, until they play again.

Speaker 4 (55:22):
Wait did they play next year?

Speaker 2 (55:24):
Play next year?

Speaker 4 (55:25):
We made with a check on that.

Speaker 3 (55:27):
Wow, it was the next time mission and Bastros supposed
to because because last year we looked it up and
there was play for the next seven years. Yeah, maybe
changing schedules all the time. Man, how do we feel
about the best? I feel like there should be more
on the table.

Speaker 2 (55:43):
That's where That's where we're at right now, no matter
what we're.

Speaker 1 (55:45):
Locked in at. Shaved head, shaved face. That was a
hand shaved that.

Speaker 2 (55:50):
I shook the hand on that I probably shouldn't have.
I wanted to be more.

Speaker 5 (55:53):
Is it just shaved one time or you you bawled
for the rest of the year.

Speaker 2 (55:57):
It's shaved one time. Seeah.

Speaker 3 (55:58):
I like the idea of us being one of us
being bald the rest of the year, for the rest
this being I like this being a bet where you
go and it's like November December and you're still feeling
the effects of this bet twenty twenty the next time
they play that sucks bald and no mustache until twenty
twenty eight would be Yeah, that's what I'm thinking too now.

(56:23):
Were talking bold like bick or we can keep a
little buzz.

Speaker 5 (56:26):
Like Josh Bate. That's not a shot, No it's not
at all.

Speaker 2 (56:33):
Listen, Yeah, like I feel good about shaving my head
and knowing it's gonna come back. I will say, there's
there's been a couple of thoughts, what is but I know,
like my hair is.

Speaker 3 (56:50):
Gonna look at the exact scent is like it might
be me and two paints next year the bus.

Speaker 4 (56:57):
Let's send you my number, we'll talk.

Speaker 3 (56:58):
Yeah, you figure it out. Ye dollars shaved Club's cool
sponsorship for that.

Speaker 4 (57:03):
It's really cheap though, it's really affordable.

Speaker 2 (57:06):
Yeah. Yeah, you can save a lot of money.

Speaker 4 (57:07):
It's great.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
I like the year.

Speaker 3 (57:09):
I like you to keep that in mind for the
rest of the year. Calendar year or calendar calendar year,
calendar calendar years off.

Speaker 2 (57:15):
But what are you doing?

Speaker 4 (57:17):
What do I do?

Speaker 2 (57:18):
Problem?

Speaker 3 (57:19):
This is the problem that I keep talking about, is
like all the confidence every single year, every single week,
and now it's like time it's time for you to
figuratively and literally put your money where you're mouth.

Speaker 2 (57:29):
The place bomb on fans.

Speaker 1 (57:32):
You come to me with this, twenty five thousand of
my own dollars going to the nil Collective.

Speaker 3 (57:38):
It's like, yeah, so we'll both just be donating to
one school, Like that's not really about It's like something
I think we boasted down and like if we had
like a backdoor conversation, we probably do that for.

Speaker 2 (57:46):
Both schools, but yeah, through fifty each.

Speaker 3 (57:50):
But it's like that doesn't feel It's like, however, no
problem signing a Tailwan donates fifty thousand dollars to Nebraska.
We'll have no problem with that, just like I'm assuming
you wouldn't have an issue with that either. That's like fun,
it's great for the programs and stuff like that. But like,
I want the loser to feel this loss because it's

(58:11):
been brewing, it's been marinating for so long.

Speaker 2 (58:14):
And I see you this week and I'm like, this
is not the Compton.

Speaker 5 (58:17):
I know, Josh, what are your thoughts?

Speaker 4 (58:19):
What do you think?

Speaker 2 (58:20):
I don't know it is.

Speaker 4 (58:21):
When I come to this kind of predicament, I just
crowdsource it because my audience always comes up with something
better than I do. I would like to see you
throughout the first pitch at the Nebraska baseball game.

Speaker 2 (58:30):
Would love that.

Speaker 4 (58:31):
Yeah, like that would be no warm up. That would
be good.

Speaker 3 (58:33):
Yeah, I actually got one, and we'd have to work
it out with the schools. Loser has to go to
the other team's school and be a cheerleader for a
game with the cheer squad.

Speaker 2 (58:46):
Dressed in uniform and everything.

Speaker 3 (58:49):
Now, so Michigan wins, you amazing blue two piece, get
some pomp poms in your hand, and I want you
four quarters on the style line.

Speaker 4 (59:04):
Probably probably more looking at the spring game here due
to red tape. But yeah, it's a good idea. It's
a really good I.

Speaker 1 (59:08):
Think be great because againcause the only thing that was
going on in my head is just like, yeah, it's
like that's a that's an awesome idea.

Speaker 2 (59:15):
Uh, it's just the scheduling and ship like, hey, I
gotta go feeling. I got an example. You know, dress right,
child can give you pointers.

Speaker 4 (59:32):
By the way, that's only if you lose, which you're
not going to.

Speaker 2 (59:35):
That's the thing. He's not thinking about winning. Listen, I
can't play the game for these boys, Like, but you.

Speaker 3 (59:41):
Saw the mom The only thing you've said is I
mean they never had Willy see on the jumbo tron.
I know Michigan's thinking about Willy c puts thing on.

Speaker 1 (59:49):
You're like, well, I can't play for him, but this
bed thing is a complete Like this is like a
separate thing.

Speaker 4 (59:57):
Mm hmm, it feels pretty correlated.

Speaker 3 (01:00:00):
I think a mission or basket weren't playing this bat
would be here. Yeah, I like the dog on the road,
but I would take them.

Speaker 5 (01:00:09):
So what's the final bet?

Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
I don't know. Yeah, I don't know what the final
bet is.

Speaker 3 (01:00:15):
No, yeah, it's but we're not push anymore. I would
love a long lasting bet. It sounds like you're not
willing to do that, right, that's off the table for Okay,
So it sounds like, here's the bet. Loser has to
shave their head and face the long lasting bet is
the nineteen ninety seven Yeah, you've already agreed to that. Correct, Yeah,
I haven't shook on it, but yes.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
So let's just let it. Let's just lay it out there.
You shave, everything's up for your eyebrows. Let it grow
back as this.

Speaker 3 (01:00:39):
Loser concedes that the other team is the nineteen ninety
seven national champion, and then the winning team gets fifty
thousand dollars from Bust, with the boys donated to their school.

Speaker 2 (01:00:50):
Am I correct to saying all that?

Speaker 4 (01:00:51):
I believe?

Speaker 3 (01:00:52):
So?

Speaker 2 (01:00:52):
Yeah, is there anything else before we shake on this?
I made the mistake of shaking on the shave face earlier,
any changes, any thoughts, brainstorm, no bad ideas.

Speaker 5 (01:01:01):
I think it has to be for the football season.

Speaker 3 (01:01:03):
I don't disagree, and you've got it's off the table.

Speaker 2 (01:01:07):
I'm not sure. I mean, yeah, yeah, yeah, no bad
it is in brainstorm like we're like, you both.

Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
Have wis and kids, take family pictures.

Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
And that's what makes it so much better. I told
town too, I walked in. I want you to know.
I put it on the table that I'm betting anything.
She's like, why, why why do you do this? And
I was like, because people have to know. It's it's
all good.

Speaker 4 (01:02:02):
No, I really think I just need to moderate this one.
I need to sit this one up. My advice to
you is lock all this stuff in in the spring.
Next time you would have gotten concessions on everything in
the spring, even in the summer, even in week one,
but you let it get the game week before you
threw the big tokens out there. He didn't bite on all.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
The thing with Will is it's a no before yes.

Speaker 3 (01:02:21):
And I thought, if I like, I've seen how confident
he is, and then we get to like where I
should believe he's most confident all we're Franklin the Turtle.

Speaker 4 (01:02:29):
Oh not Franklin.

Speaker 2 (01:02:31):
Unfortunately, that's where I kind of go back to, like,
maybe it's worth for our friendship.

Speaker 1 (01:02:38):
Noise rattles an empty cage, and my cage is full
of work. I know a rule and I've been building
these last three years.

Speaker 2 (01:02:43):
In the model, He's had quotes like that all year there.
