have an incredible vlog that is going crazy right now
from tight End you last week We're hanging with the Boys,
(03:52):
Travis Kelsey, George Kittle, Greg Goles and all the tight Ends.
I want to say that there were eighty plus in
attendance for tight End University last week. That brand is
absolutely crushing it right now. Shout out to the boys
for starting that thing up. There's also some great behind
the scenes footage with some wholesome Taylor Swift content. Shout
out the boy, JP Hovey our artists on the vlogs,
(04:14):
behind the keyboard, behind the editing, behind the mouse behind
everything that is JP Hovey, shout out the boy JP.
But that vlog, that vlog was a lot of fun.
We had a lot of fun. I'm watching it right now.
I'm seeing clips of it right now. Taylor. He starts
to work to get one percent better for his redemption
pitch that will be coming at some point. First one
(04:35):
was a little off, but he started to dial it in.
He started to reel it in a little bit. Mitchell's
back there. He was the catcher and he started taking
heat from basically anybody that stepped on the mountain. But
check out that vlog, JPS, you got the microphone anything
you're wanting to I was.
Speaker 5 (04:50):
Just curious if you feel like you need to get
one more rep out there, because a few times guys
came up to you. We're asking about one on ones
and you had kind of forgotten about it.
Speaker 1 (04:59):
You're like, what are you talking about?
Speaker 5 (05:00):
One who beat me? They're like, dude in Oregon. It
just came up a few times out of know.
Speaker 1 (05:05):
Yeah, a couple of ten doesn't.
Speaker 5 (05:06):
Like the competitive juice are coming back?
Speaker 1 (05:08):
Yeah, tight ends came up here are we gonna run
run one on ones today? And uh, I don't know.
I feel like I got to put the cleats back
on at some point, and I have to do it
the right way. Once I get this back right, once
I get this spine straight, steady, durable, I think that's
when I put the cleats back on, because right now
it's the running back, you know, out of the show
(05:31):
Me State that's at the University of Oregon. I mean,
he kind of ended my life out there.
Speaker 5 (05:34):
Yeah, it keeps coming up, and is it gonna be
a similar journey with Taylor's first pitch. How they're thinking
about Gronk and the vlog pitched. Maybe you guys start
him out at single A double A. Would you go
out there against like a CE team or JV roster.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
I The problem there is, I don't know if you
can risk that. Like you say, I started at the
high school level, some high school kid bodies me up,
like that's that's my entire legacy, just down the drain.
And we're looking at potential. What what I'm two to
three years removed right now from the NFL Hall of
(06:11):
Fame coming up here in a couple of years, will
be eligible if I get be by a high schooler
that goes down the toilet.
Speaker 6 (06:17):
The committee will see that.
Speaker 1 (06:18):
Yeah, the committee will see that. And it's like it's
not as it's not as much as like throwing a pitch,
like if you're throwing a pitch at single, a double,
a triple a like you're just more so working, getting
the fill of the crowd and everything else. R it's
not your your your resume is not the line. I
mean Taylor throwing that first pitch. He wants a redemption
shot in a stadium. I think, no matter what the
final boss has to be in Saint Louis, in Bush Stadium,
(06:41):
no matter where he does his pitch, and say he
throws a strike at some other at some other MLB stadium,
I think, no matter what his final boss has to
be at in Saint Louis.
Speaker 5 (06:51):
Somebody brought up an amazing point in the comments about
Taylor and how his two worst days came at the
hands of the Cardinals.
Speaker 1 (07:01):
The pitch. What was the other part, Buddha.
Speaker 5 (07:04):
Baker, Taylor Jones, both Cardinals.
Speaker 1 (07:09):
Yeah, I mean yeah, for his football career. I I
don't think there's a yeah. I think that's his worst,
worst day, worst day as a player. It's like when
my old man brought up my most embarrassing moment at
the dad combine that that vog is still out there,
you want to check it out? Uh, but me not
knowing my most embarrassing moment. He's like, you embarrassed the
entire family when you missed two tackles in a row
on Ezekiel Elliott And that was like mental hell, mental hell.
(07:36):
Getting to let's talk. Let's talk some t Swift. Getting
to meet Taylor Swift. A lot of photos have been
going crazy, a lot of positive, a lot of negative too.
There's been a lot of negative comments has come with the.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
It's always going to be that, yeah, what is it?
Speaker 1 (07:53):
Uh? There was a there's a song she had, what
is it? Are you okay? Or talking?
Speaker 7 (08:00):
You are somebody that I don't know and you're taking
shots at me like I'm punktrong. Oh yeah, yeah, it's
seven eight am and I'm just like damn.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Or something like that. It's like it's like, uh, you
say something. If that's on the street, it's a knockout.
If it's in a tweet, that's a cop out, and
are you are you okay? Anyway, it would have been
a great that's like my next anytime I see one
where somebody trolls the boys, that's gonna have to be
the next one is just using Taylor Swift the lyrics
(08:35):
to combat that. But I will say, no matter no
matter what people say about Taylor Swift, people say everything
this this this girl's life is followed and thumb through
like a microscope. The way she handled herself, she was
obviously very gracious, very nice to us, super sweet to us.
I go in for a handshake, she goes in for
(08:56):
a hug. She's hugging everybody, no matter if it was
me or Taylor or anybody on the squad. She was
super nice them, but just observing her with like the
fans and showing up there whenever fans were able to
kind of get to her. The amount of like that
moment was the only moment that would exist, the way
she's treating everybody. And I thought that was fucking cool,
because this is somebody who you know, they have their
(09:16):
flight tracker. Like, everything she does is not necessarily private.
She has to work overtime to try and keep as
much privacy in her life as possible. And I feel
like she has a fan base that comments on absolutely
everything she does. I mean just from the experience we
had with our photo, our little flex photo, and just
seeing people like it's they feel like they're detectives, like
(09:39):
putting it like, oh my gosh, they took a photo
with Donald Trump, and she's taking a photo with these guys,
and why aren't they vetting everybody? And then you got
her fans ont her value? What do you expect her
to do? Do you expect them to go through everybody's
background checks and do this and that? And it's it
is insane how rapid this fan base is. And to
operate the way she does, I legitimately think she's like
(10:01):
a it's nothing but class.
Speaker 6 (10:03):
Yeah, I know.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Mitch's girlfriend Brookes, her and sitting were at the concert
and she went into the bathroom and Taylor Swift was
in there just like any other girl on a Friday
night at the bar, taking selfies in the girl's bathroom
with like all the different tight ends, wives and girlfriends,
And it was just like a like a normal girls
girls bathroom that you hear about in the songs, but
(10:26):
in real life, and it was just like it seemed
like a very wholesome, wholesome moment, which is cool.
Speaker 8 (10:30):
Yeah, man, Brooke walked into the bathroom, and she walked
in and it was Claire Kittle and Taylor just taking
a selfie in the bathroom.
Speaker 2 (10:37):
I was like, you should have. Hey, I'm big fans
of both of you guys.
Speaker 6 (10:40):
You mind if I photo bomb that day?
Speaker 1 (10:43):
But I was probably so, it's probably just so. It's weird.
I mean, you're like starstrucks seeing Taylor Swift in person.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
That's what I was saying too.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
It's like, man, she looks super normal. Like do I
ask if I wanted to get in a photo like
Taylor Swift's out there photobombing pictures.
Speaker 8 (10:58):
I was telling my roommates when we saw her, like
she has this like aura and glow to her. Like
the way I described it was like you know in Fortnite,
how you go and find those chests.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
And they have like we got a Fortnite analogis and.
Speaker 8 (11:14):
They're like glowing a little bit like that is that
was her And it was like I had never experienced
that before, and especially It's like I thought it was
kind of weird because I thought i'd feel that way
about a football player, but like she having that aura
and like everybody was like everybody would stop and just
stare at her whenever she walked by. It was super
cool and she was super nice to everybody.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
It's like, I mean, when it leaked that she was
gonna that she was gonna be at that concert, it's
like ticket prices were twenty or thirty dollars for general admission.
They weren't even sold out yet, and then they're going
for over nine hundred dollars just from the leak. Yea
and everybody, any media group or anybody that was there,
any brand that was there had to get vetted and
there had to be clearance and there you had to
(11:55):
go through a process to hey, if you take a photo,
like you know, you can't post anything until it gets cleared.
So the height of the moment, then Taylor Swift and
Travis walk in, Judge's like, hey, you got to meet
the boys, and she was just she was awesome, man,
she was cool.
Speaker 5 (12:11):
The fact that she played that song, I think tells
you everything you need to know about her. She could
demand five million dollars for that type of performance. To
play one song, I think she could get five million,
And she went out there for free for all these people,
just because it was all like a part of the
vibe of the night and she wanted to be a
part of it. And I think that's super cool in
(12:31):
a star of that level, right, go out there and
do a show for free, knowing that everybody does want
to see her. And it was one song, but she
made it around, you know, six to seven minutes and
gave everybody the full experience. Yeah, which is something she
did not have to do.
Speaker 1 (12:46):
And just immersing herself in Travis's world, like it seems
like she's one of the homies. So you're sitting there
having FOMO knowing you're not gonna go out there, like, hey,
you want to go the after party Jason Alden stuff
like that, and you see George's video of them like
one of her songs, and yeah, dude, it's it's fucking cool.
Even the next day when I was in uh in
(13:07):
Boston for a dozen drivia and there there was like women,
they're wanting to get photos and all they wanting to
do is like ask about Taylor Swift and they're like,
did you hugger? Did you shake your hand? Which hand?
Which hand did you shake with? Can I shake your hand?
And they're just it's crazy, dude, It is nuts. The
fan base that she has. Yeah, speaking of the Booze
Ponies dozen trivia, that atmosphere in Boston was incredible. You're
(13:34):
going into a hostile We're thinking we're going to be
in a hostile environment because it's Boston, it's Minifan territory.
We're playing Team Kirk Minihan in the semi finals, the
final four to get to the championship, and we think
the crowd's gonna be, you know, maybe a little against us,
maybe not. We know that we're kind of a fan favorite.
But Bro, when they're out there cheering hardest shit for
(13:55):
Kirk Minihan, and then we have a crowd just chanting ponies. Bro,
when we went in overtime, I wish you guys could
have been there. I wish you guys could have been there.
You can only see the videos. The videos don't do
it justice. It was fucking electric, so much so it
was such an emotional win getting to the championship. Then
I'm walking in the back the backstage in the little
(14:16):
tunnel area, like just exhausted, feeling like I just played
a football game. That's how incredible this moment was.
Speaker 5 (14:25):
It's like, Israelata sign your speech after he finally beats Pereira.
He's like, I listed everybody could experience this moment one
time in their life.
Speaker 6 (14:33):
But to do that, you got to take.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
The risk, bro. I mean, we were down fourteen eleven,
fourteen eleven, and we were on our second to last question.
We hit our question to make it fourteen twelve. It's
the final question. Jeff's like when we got the point
to go to twelve, He's like, if you miss this,
they win. We end up getting the question right, and
it's fourteen to twelve going into the last round. They
(14:57):
have their double sip left and it's a geography question
in Georgia. Yeah, yeah, yeah, And and they had it
was something about maybe the second largest R city on
the East Coast behind I don't know if it's Raleigh or.
Speaker 2 (15:14):
It wasn't it. I thought it was the second largest
D city.
Speaker 1 (15:17):
That was our question. So they have a double sip,
they get both of their guesses wrong, and we're sitting
there with a chance to steal. And then we have
our question left and fights is like, I think it's Richmond,
Like Richmond, Virginia, And I was like, I love that answer, buddy.
We get say Virginia. We get the point. It's fourteen thirteen.
We go into our last question. It's the last question
(15:39):
of the match. We get it, we go on ot
we miss it. We obviously lose. And it was the state.
It was the state with the two largest cities starting
with D. I knew of Detroit. I'm like, is it Michigan,
Like I'm thinking Detroit, but I don't know another D city.
And you know, Dana, God bless me. He's like, I
think Michigan's in the middle. It's not on the right side.
(16:00):
It's in the Central times time zone. And I'm like
having a moment. I'm like, bro, I think you're I
think you're being ridiculous right now. Like Michigan is for
sure in the Eastern time zone, and fights is like Dearborn,
Deerborn is a city. I'm like, buddy, I've never heard
of Dearborn in my life. But we can go with that.
All we have right now is Michigan and Jeff's counting
down and we're like, Jeff final answer, Michigan and Jeff
(16:21):
tease it up, going to the championship, and we're all
sitting there, Kirk Minh and his hands on his knees
crowd is fully fucking bought in because there's been like
two swings, two score changes, two lead changes, and he's like,
the Boots Monus are going to the championship in a
place rupts.
Speaker 9 (16:37):
Bro errupts PORTNOI tweeted about the pop. Tweeted about the pop.
What a pop for trivia. The product that's been created
in dozen trivia is incredible. Now I'm happy to be
a part of it. We lost in the championship. We
lost in ot experts. Brandon Walker. Hats off to fran
(16:57):
Brandon Walker.
Speaker 1 (16:58):
Pft. They're they're great, great competitors. They got us. They
were the better team that night.
Speaker 6 (17:03):
Nothing worse than Brandon Walker.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
Nothing worse than Brandon Walker. I'll tell you what though.
We got to steal college full from him because he
got college football wrong because he didn't know ball. Yeah
he doesne no ball for real. It was CJ.
Speaker 5 (17:14):
Spiller too, Wow, c J.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Spiller. Our answer was darren Sprolls. And it was like,
they give you a quarterback. I want to say it
was Kyle Parker from from Clemson, and then they give
you the stat line of these running backs and they'll
the hint will be like from this acc school and
ours was Big twelve. Ours was darren Sprolls and Brandon
Walker doesn't get c J. Spiller. We get c J Spiller.
(17:37):
I mean the crowd was fucking electric and the crowd
was bummed. Experts have their fan base, but it's a
smaller fan base. Like you here their people cheering when
they won, but immediately people are flooding out of the
building boost Ponies lost. They're feeling it with us. We
had people recreating our jerseys in the crowd. They kind
of looked like me fights in Dana. It was it
(17:59):
was all time boys. That's a where were you moment? Now,
that's a where were you moment in barstool history. That
is a where we're where were you moment?
Speaker 5 (18:07):
That that's the first question. The second question that everybody
wants to know is what's next?
Speaker 10 (18:13):
What's next?
Speaker 1 (18:14):
The Yeah, there were thoughts of me laying my jersey
down on the stage.
Speaker 6 (18:21):
There were thoughts of it out of it all the time.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
But the winning in Chicago, going out to Boston, being
around the boys and just seeing the crowd, the enthusiasm,
the passion and energy. I can't leave you got one
more in you? Oh yeah, We're coming for it all
next year. We're coming for it all next year. And
(18:48):
nobody knew. Nobody knew that either, like I didn't tell fights,
I didn't tell Dana. That was kind of I was
dabbling with it in my head. And if this is
going to be the last.
Speaker 6 (18:56):
Run, we just need to have you to have some
say in the dates of some of the events. We
missed it. We missed a big trip for we did.
Speaker 1 (19:04):
We missed a very big trip, a very big trip
because it doesn't I was never gonna bring it up
because my history in barstool, my history was specifically Dozen
trivia and how it schedules up and lines up with
everything with beer, Olympics and moving dates. And I had
to just eat that one.
Speaker 11 (19:22):
How was the How was the wedding anniversary?
Speaker 1 (19:25):
That morning? The next day? It was good. We went
to Rolfing Daughters. Good good. I mean, charl knew like
I had to, you know, I had to kind of
anchor in that I wasn't gonna be home on our anniversary.
Speaker 6 (19:36):
There's a fan base out there waiting for you to deliver.
Speaker 1 (19:39):
I know, I know, sweet, I swear to God, I'm
gonna bring back the hardware for you, like this trip
is gonna be worth it for our family, And jus
text me throughout did you win? Did you win? I'm like,
are you not tuned in live?
Speaker 6 (19:53):
Just keeps enter the link.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
Yeah. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (19:56):
Next day when I got.
Speaker 1 (19:56):
Home, I'm just showing her the video over and over
of like the Ponies chain.
Speaker 6 (20:00):
Did you see me on that helge?
Speaker 1 (20:01):
Yeah? And I just keep looking at her like is
it that nuts? And she's like yeah, baby. I'm like,
I don't think you understand, like this is trivia and
these people are going nuts, like it's the fucking super Bowl.
Like I haven't felt I haven't felt that alive since
the playing days, since Wildcard round Washington against Green Bay,
since we got back from beating the Eagles and taking
(20:24):
the NFC East and we couldn't move. We had to
drive two miles an hour in the car. People banging
on your window, that's how fired up they were that
we won the Division Memorial Stadium back in eight when
Alex Henry banged the fifty eight yard er to go
up on Colorado and Sue getting an interception and mushing
the quarterback's face, the crowd just fucking exploding.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
The whole life you've been chasing this mountain top. Yeah,
and you've been getting closer with each stage, getting.
Speaker 1 (20:48):
Closer each day. Oklahoma twenty ten, I want to say
we only won ten to seven. Big defensive battle. DeMarco Murray,
was it, Sam Bradford, I don't think it was. Who's
the Cat? And Landry Jones whole defense got a game ball.
After that game, place was going nuts. That's what this
environment felt like for a Dozen Trivia, A few thousand
(21:11):
people packed in the arena. There's more pop in Dozen
Trivia than the pop Taylor Swift head coming out to
see Shake it Off. I wish you guys could have been.
Speaker 5 (21:18):
In one of the most historical cities in the country, Boston.
Speaker 1 (21:23):
Bater's hanging everywhere in Boston Corner. Yeah, Fourth of July,
right around the corner, and people wanted to be there.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
What I'm wondering that this is touch my right.
Speaker 1 (21:33):
Hand because that's what Chuck Taylor Swift's hand, and I'm
like reaching the crowd.
Speaker 5 (21:39):
This is like, this is kind of Swifty Detective. Ever
since we've split from Barstool, now, you haven't interacted with
Dave that much, but I have noticed over the last
couple of weeks. He still is including you in some
of the content, but we're no tags. Yeah, he's refusing
to tag. We'll compton, he'll tee, text me on the side.
We like text each other on the side and stuff. Look,
(22:01):
we love each other.
Speaker 6 (22:02):
Business is busy, Yeah, business is business.
Speaker 1 (22:04):
We all miss each other. I miss all the boys
of Barstol, like all the hugs, every everything that was
going on love Barstool, and yeah, I I I see
that stuff. Right when I got in. He's like, Hey,
I'm on the front lines for you guys with Taylor Swift.
You guys are putting you guys are putting my girl,
Taylor Swift in a in a in a tough light.
With all these photoshops going on, they're cropping you out.
(22:25):
I'm trying to tell everybody, hey, tag the boys. They
don't want to trying to say, you guys are bad guys,
Like Dave, you know, all you got to do is
a press conference, like you can shut it down as
quickly as you want. But we're yeah, we were bane
turned back and forth. He texted that next morning He's like,
you guys, you finally you finally made it. You're at
a spot you wish beer Olympics always was you open
(22:46):
for Taylor Swift.
Speaker 5 (22:48):
Every compliment is followed up by tight in you.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
Is everything you wish. Beer Olympics was no historic historic
week for busting with the boys, historic week for busting
with the boys. When I went up to uh Trave
when we got the flex photo, you know, she came
off stage from shaking off, you know, giving the giving
the boy some love. She said, I had so much
fun out there. I'm like, you crushed it. And Taylor
(23:15):
and I you know, signed off, and we came back
and I leaned over to Trav and I was like, hey, buddy,
you know I'm not leaving this place without a flex,
without a without a pose with you, with you and
your girl. He's like, oh, I got you. We're just
Taylor Swift talking shit afterwards. Tailor she was talking shit afterwards,
saying she's you know, she's got more muscles than us.
(23:36):
It was a great night. We interrupt this episode because
we were brought to you by Neutral vodka Seltzer. Have
you tried Neutral? If not, you are missing out. Neutral
is so much better than any other seltzer that I've tried.
It's maybe a real Vodkan real juice. That's what makes
it delicious. Neutral comes in a variety of flavors like watermelon,
black cherry. There are also new flavors lime and strawberry.
And Neutral is the perfect drink to bring this weekend
(23:59):
when celebrate the Fourth of July and celebrating America because
it is such a crowd pleaser. Whether watching uh, whether
watching at the at the at the bar after, whether
watching a game at the bar in the backyard with friends,
playing some bags at a tailgate, bring Neutral, keep a tasty.
(24:20):
It was a great night and that led into that
led into the weekend. Had a great weekend at home,
got a lot of got a lot of good family
time in, got to decompress. I don't know if you
guys saw my tweet, but I had a big dad
day yesterday changing air filters, you know, taking out a
bag of trash, changed a couple of diapers. What else
(24:42):
I do? Oh, got rid of the We had some
outdoor furniture that we got replaced. So I did to
get rid of get rid of some outdoor furniture. I'm
going around town at the recycling spots or recycling centers
to drop stuff off. You had the girls on on
Sunday morning. Charlie was working then Scott, he just has
incredible timing with was shitting herself at just the worst times.
(25:02):
So I'm changing her like ninety degree heat. She's just
on my tailgate. I ever laid out changing her up
roosting their dad head, let's go, Scooter, let's go play
sweet Please, for the love of God, just hang on,
give daddy a moment.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
But we had a we had a great weekend UFC
three seventeen. That was wild. Do Ilia to Poora to Pouria.
See I keep messing the name up the ascension like
we could be witnessing the next one. Oh what's up, Jared?
Speaker 6 (25:30):
Please welcome Ilia to Poria.
Speaker 1 (25:32):
Oh, please welcome Ilia to Poria.
Speaker 12 (25:34):
What's up?
Speaker 6 (25:35):
Demon?
Speaker 2 (25:39):
Right here?
Speaker 1 (25:40):
Come back there?
Speaker 2 (25:41):
Yeah?
Speaker 1 (25:42):
See, boy trying to get in the big dog. See Taylor,
by the way, he's in Canada. Every year in July
he goes out to Canada for a few weeks with
the FAMI. They're getting away. They're out visiting Taylor's family,
so he's out with the with the in laws. So
Taylor is out of Canada. I forgot to address at
the top of the episode with the boy not being here. Hey,
(26:03):
weekend in Vegas, first weekend for Jared.
Speaker 6 (26:06):
It was like one of the best weekends of my
life time.
Speaker 1 (26:09):
But before we do that, we were just start we
were talking about the fights a little bit. But Ilia Taporia,
we could be witnessing the next one, first undefeated champion
to win a belt in two divisions, Like it gives
me the McGregor vibes. I guess maybe the McGregor hope,
because you miss the lure of Connor McGregor coming into
(26:29):
the UFC. But the way Ilia called a shot with
with Ariel, I was saying, I'm gonna I'm gonna sleep
him in the first round, Like this dude is a
savage bro, and I hope he I hope he accomplishes
everything he wants because it's just having a guy who
like runs through the UFC, talks a little bit of shit.
He's wearing the suit, he's doing all things he's called
(26:50):
he's saying when he's gonna knock guys out, like this
is the ascension you want to see out of a
UFC fighter. And I don't know a whole lot about him.
Like again, just before I started talking about him. I
was kind of watching his last name. I botched his
name last week on the episode before You UFC three seventeen.
But I'm coming out of my chair when he slept
OLIVERA big fan of OLIVERA, but just understanding Ili a
little bit, seeing how he jumped up in weight classes.
(27:11):
Is his power going to transfer it at a heavier
weight class? Like this guy is a This guy is
a fucking savage.
Speaker 5 (27:17):
One of the reasons you know he's the truth is
because he made Connor McGregor tweet late night, and that
tweet has.
Speaker 6 (27:24):
Since been deleted.
Speaker 1 (27:26):
Oh, it's been deleted. I saw that tweet too. I
saw that tweet going around. I'm like, oh, man McGregor
giving him props kind.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
Of, But did you see the long one where he's
like still saying nobody's done it like him, like not
a scratch on me, Like McGregor was still obviously pumping.
Speaker 6 (27:41):
His own tires.
Speaker 1 (27:42):
Yeah, but look Illy is undefeated. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (27:45):
And I think if you compare their three fights, I
think McGregor was men or Aldo Mendez Alvarez and Taporia
was Holloway.
Speaker 6 (27:59):
Yeah, and Charles, you gotta give the nod to Ilio
with those three.
Speaker 1 (28:04):
Right now, and it's like again, Connor was an absolute
artist outside of the octagon, with like promoting fights, talking
shit and everything else. I think Illy has got those
capabilities and somebody who's just exciting that you're whenever his
next pay per view, people are gonna be fucking tuned
in that might not be consistently watching UFC fights, you
know what I mean, just because the ore of him
(28:24):
is going to build and people are gonna be fucking
tuned in ready to see him fight whoever his next
opponent is. People are talking maybe Patty to Battie Islam.
What are is there? Are they any other options that
would make sense?
Speaker 5 (28:36):
Justin Gaechee, he's gotta be sitting there pissed because he's
I think he's like three to one in his last
four and he's kind of like he said on podcasts,
like I don't want to fight unless it's for a
title shot.
Speaker 6 (28:48):
I deserve that.
Speaker 5 (28:49):
Charles got one, Dustin got one. Why are not getting one?
And then they bring Patty into the into the ring.
Speaker 1 (28:55):
I'm sure I know you saw Dana was pissed about that.
Speaker 5 (28:57):
Yeah, So, I mean I think it was Rogan.
Speaker 6 (29:01):
Hopefully it's Islam. At one seventy, so we get an
opportunity for the first ever triple Champ.
Speaker 1 (29:06):
Yes, dude, and that would be electric. Oh my, what
was it like?
Speaker 6 (29:13):
Was the walkout?
Speaker 1 (29:14):
All right? Yeah? Now we can get to uh the
trip in Vegas. The boys are gonna have Jared Demon
and Taylor.
Speaker 11 (29:20):
Uh.
Speaker 1 (29:20):
They went out to Vegas for another vlog, taking on
the casinos. Jared had his first experience in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Jack's out in Greece, Italy. Not really sure where the
Jack tracker's at right now, but Jared got to he
was the next man up. Mentality cut that robe on, Yeah,
Jared had the robe on. Buddy, talk about that. Talk
about your experience in Vegas.
Speaker 6 (29:40):
I mean it was like unreal, like me and JP
were talking about it, or like that world that Taylor
lives out there is not real. It's fantasy land. Yeah,
It's like you just get treated like a prince from
the second you touch down in Vegas. There's someone way.
It's like unreal, Like everyone was so nice. Everyone at
(30:01):
Red Rock was the best. Red Rock is incredible, Red
Rock is I mean literally it's like you're it's like
just a vacation. The whole time, my Taylor entire staff. Yeah,
he's like, dude, I appreciate you being here, like you're
really busting your ass. It's like, I mean, I guess
I'm filming, but I was like, we just got massages.
We've been sitting by the pool and like I was like,
I mean, it was just unreal. UFC fights are amazing.
(30:23):
The casino. I know Taylor doesn't want me to talk
about it a lot because he wants it to wait
for the vlog, But I think I can say it
was his best weekend ever because as far as like
money wise in the casino, you already say anything about it.
Speaker 1 (30:37):
I haven't said anything about it, just brought you on.
Speaker 6 (30:39):
Yeah, I think Taylor say that. Look, I don't think
he would mind me saying that he's made the most
money he's ever made by hundreds and hundreds and hundreds
of thousands of dollars. But even in the uh on
the title.
Speaker 1 (30:49):
Too, just to just to relieve your comfort in saying that,
Like in the title, it's gonna say what he wants.
Speaker 6 (30:54):
Yeah for the because he just didn't want us to
spoil it.
Speaker 1 (30:56):
But people just want to know why and how they
love the inside the behind the scenes of it all
going down. You know, there was a lot of ups,
the biggest of downs, and we came out on top
the biggest of downs. Yeah, a lot of downs. Are
you able to elaborate.
Speaker 6 (31:16):
When we sat I'll say, when we sat down the
first night to check out. You'll see it in the
vlog as a little teaser. So he's like, well, check
your vibe and immediately down a lot. And then we
got out of that hole. But the first thing we
did was lose a ship ton of money, like when
we sat down the first night, and that was a
pattern throughout the weekend. Okay, of losing and going back up.
(31:39):
I tune in for the ups and down. I mean,
I don't know how much Tether wants me to say,
follow it follow exposed, follow Cody, Yeah, follow, shout out Cody,
shout out day No, shout out Nick Murky, shout out
Michael Chandler. The I mean, I know, we all know
this the best vibe of the weekend. My favorite part
(32:01):
of the weekend was when like everyone's bringing like Dana,
like the Cody Dude table, Like everyone's like bringing hundreds
of thousands of dollars to the table and Michael brings
the small like he brings like ten thousand dollars or something.
It's like, I'm making this last all weekend. And he
he had one big loss. I don't even think it's
on camera. He had one big loss. And he's like
(32:22):
head down on the table, looks up at the TV
that's over the table, and then they're just playing highlights
of him getting his ass beat and he's like this
is just nightmare fuel. He's like, this sucks. It's like
I can't imagine a worse situation than what I'm experiencing.
Speaker 1 (32:35):
Taking a massive beating at the table and you look
up and it's just Oli Vera highlights.
Speaker 6 (32:38):
Yeah, it was all a Vera highlights. I think his
wife said she was like, hey, don't look up. She's like,
don't look at the TV. And he's like ever seen
Mike Winn in Vegas?
Speaker 2 (32:46):
Man, dude?
Speaker 1 (32:47):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (32:47):
On the table he was the best though, Like he's
like not playing right, Like everyone's like, no, you gotta
do this. He's like, I don't know how to play
any of this. Like it was just they're like, no,
you gotta put this card here, you gotta put this
card here. It was so funny and he gets I mean,
I know, we all know it's kind of funny, like
all the celebrities that were with, but I guess it's
like Vegas and its UFC. Mike when he gets out
of the car mobbed anywhere. I just thought it was
(33:08):
funny out of all the celebrities were with Dane and
all these guys like Mike just can't walk anywhere in Vegas.
He just gets like immediately, just like ten kids would
walk up like to them.
Speaker 1 (33:18):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (33:18):
But yeah, it was an unreal weekend. It is still
Jack's thrown.
Speaker 1 (33:22):
I liked, not even said. Nobody was even saying that
I wasn't.
Speaker 6 (33:25):
Well, I'm just trying to think of the next course
of action to say, this is a fun bit. I
had the best time ever I did. I guess you
could say my vibe I brought Taylor the best weekend
he's ever had. I mean, I'm not saying it's me.
Speaker 1 (33:38):
Now, how how instrumental were you in calling certain shots?
Because I know it's bach Rot. You got there, you
know there'll be a little roulette in there.
Speaker 6 (33:46):
Yeah, So like the first the first time when I
told you we were down from that table, I single
handedly got him out of it. It was me, and
you'll see it in the vologer I called. He said,
all right, Jared, you say like red or blue? And
I said it and I got him out of the
hole completely on my own. I didn't know what I
(34:07):
was doing.
Speaker 1 (34:08):
Hundreds of thousands of dollars. Won't say the number? Did
you get a gracious tip? I got services?
Speaker 6 (34:16):
I would say I got a gracious tip.
Speaker 1 (34:18):
I'm thinking what fifteen.
Speaker 6 (34:22):
I don't know about the math, you know, move the
desk wolf.
Speaker 1 (34:25):
Yeah, me just say the number.
Speaker 6 (34:33):
I got fifteen thousand dollars. I was gifted fifteen thousand dollars.
That's a big win. Fifteen, which was like the bad,
the weirdest thing to accept. Like the first time I
helped him get out of a hole he handed me
a chip. I was like, okay, thank you, like I
don't think I deserved this, like I understand why you're
giving me this. And then the other two chips were
(34:54):
like just big wins for him, and He's just like
hand him. Mouth was like, oh shit, you get in
sapphire after.
Speaker 1 (35:02):
What is it? Ryanody? I had no.
Speaker 6 (35:05):
I was like, uh, chase, no. We we laughed like
by like date three, We're like, we haven't left Red
Rock once. Like it felt like we were like, oh man,
we've been all over Vegas, Like we've eaten so many
nice restaurants, We've done all this stuff. It's like we
haven't left this building.
Speaker 1 (35:20):
You eat it the tie Spot.
Speaker 6 (35:21):
Yeah, that was the first meal we literally touchdown, got there,
went to the tie Spot. Is so good, dude, all
the restaurants in there like amazing. It felt like I said, like,
it felt like we were like going all over Vegas.
And then when we actually left the first time, I
was like, well, I haven't seen the sun in a while.
It's been we've just been inside.
Speaker 1 (35:36):
How how is your experience at three seventeen the fight,
It's like that place was a good sports big sports guy,
big sports guy.
Speaker 6 (35:46):
Unreal Like it was like this is the thing that
everybody says, I think when they go to a UFC fight,
But it's like true, Like the sounds of the fighters
fighting and you realize pretty quick, you're like, I've if
you've never been to a UFC fight, You're like, I've
never seen two like dudes like the top of their
profession fight like for their live, Like you know what
I mean? Like, yeah, it's like you quickly, I was like,
(36:06):
maybe I've seen a scrap in school or a bar,
but I've never truly seen like two elite athletes just
beating each other's ass, Like it's such a buffer. Yes,
it's like in the sounds of them, like when there's
a cake or something, it's like, yeah, you think you've
heard it on TV, but like when you hear it,
which everyone says this, but it's just so unrealch it's
so dead silent in there until something happens. Then it's
(36:27):
just like crazy. But it was unreal in the seats.
Those seats were unreal, insane. I mean we were like
almost this distance away from me to you write, maybe
like at the front of the bus.
Speaker 1 (36:38):
But it was just a big missed opportunity on camera,
the big missed opportunity for the world to see Damon
Jared demon on camera.
Speaker 6 (36:46):
When they came up to take Like they come up
to Taylor like a fight before that, and they're like, Hey,
we're gonna We're gonna come to you after the next fight,
and I'm like dumb, and so I'm like, I Taylor,
what does that mean? Like they're coming to you and
He's like, they're gonna do a little shot of me.
I was like, okay, So then I'm in my head
for the next forty five minutes like do I do something?
Speaker 1 (37:04):
Like what do change?
Speaker 6 (37:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (37:06):
What do I do?
Speaker 6 (37:07):
If I do something? And all stuff. Then like they
start setting up in front of you for like ten minutes.
So it's so awkward when you're just like all right,
like at any point I could be on camera. And
then I ultimately just decided I was like, maybe I'll
just kind of act like I didn't know that they're there,
kind of like oh, I just it's on the big screen,
as if right right right when the TV cuts to him,
Jared's like staring right at the camera. Then you can
(37:29):
see him look op at the big screen to see
if it's them on. Then he sees them on and
he kind of gets his little his light skinned. I
was going, I just tried to act like I was like, oh,
I didn't know this is about to happen, as if
there's not like a dude and like five dudes holding
the chords behind him and they're like three two one, Taylor,
You're on. I'm like, shit, I'm still looking at it. Yeah,
I should just ready for you to perform.
Speaker 1 (37:50):
Dude. I was sitting there on the couch up in
the bonus room, just come on, demon do something. And
I told you, like I in my head, which this
is not a good excuse. I thought, I was like,
imagine to do something. And the dude just kind of
zooms in tighter on Taylor and you just see whatever
I'm doing, just slowly get cut out because I was
just thinking about your your picture.
Speaker 5 (38:09):
Yeah, Taylor, I mean for mine, Taylor legit because they
can be a little weird about it. And Taylor just
pulled me in.
Speaker 1 (38:16):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (38:16):
I was just ready with me, and Taylor didn't say
a word about it. Like once he said, He's like
that means they're gonna get tired on me. Then I'm
just in my own head until until the camera comes up.
We talked at all, like I was just like, all right,
am I gonna do something? Shit, tell Taylor, I'm gonna
do something. Who did just sit by Gary Breca the
I talked to him the entire time. He's the man
like we He's talking about life, he's talking about giving
(38:39):
me advice for the abs. He's the most.
Speaker 1 (38:41):
About to get that body right.
Speaker 9 (38:43):
He was X.
Speaker 6 (38:44):
He was in the middle of giving me like the
best of advice when like something crazy happened and then
like he forgot about it and start telling something else.
I didn't want to be like, yeah, but like what
about my abs, bro, Like you're about to give me
something good?
Speaker 11 (38:56):
No.
Speaker 6 (38:56):
He he's the most like, uh, he was the most
like appreciative to be in this building. Like he just
keeps being like, man, our lives are amazing, Like this
is so amazing to be here, just over and over again.
The happiest of dudes.
Speaker 5 (39:08):
And he's there almost every time to really, which is cool.
Speaker 6 (39:10):
You would think it was his first time like being
at a sporting event, Like he was so happy to
be there. But I'm trying like who else was around
his THEO Vaughn was down a little bit? Uh yeah, No,
Caleb wasn't there. That was that power slop. Caleb prefers
power slab.
Speaker 1 (39:26):
Over Caleb and Glenny balls.
Speaker 6 (39:28):
Steve, Yeah, he was there, Steve will do it was
behind us, just screaming at the fighters the whole time,
Like about his parlay.
Speaker 1 (39:36):
I was gonna say he probably had a lot of money.
Speaker 6 (39:38):
Yeah, he was like fucking like I need this for
my parlay. It was like the only noise coming from
our section was Steve just yelling at all these fighters.
I mean that was there, wasn't I mean, I know
there probably was a ton of people there, There wasn't
that many people in our section that like I could
turn around see. Yeah, I don't think it was as
star studed as some of the other fights, which is
crazy because it's like International Fight Week, But yeah, wasn't.
Did y'all see the picture of THEO there for like
(39:59):
the prelim? Yeah, such a cool, such a every time,
he's so cool.
Speaker 5 (40:04):
Theo's photo dumps after UFC are some of my favorite
photo dumps swim all time, because you see him when
you're there and he's just taking photos of everyone and
he's never in and then this past one he just
drops this photo dump. There's one photo of him and
it's him and Laura Sanko, and then there's twelve photos
of just the UFC staff members, referees, somebody sitting two
(40:27):
rows behind him, and it's just like, uh, he's just
the most normal dude with the biggest following post.
Speaker 6 (40:33):
Yeah, casual way.
Speaker 1 (40:34):
When we were there, what was it a year or
two ago? He's just like, hey, you guys, mind if
I get a photo you guys. Yeah, he just takes
photos and then that's it.
Speaker 6 (40:41):
It's like the most dad thing. He's just like taking
I saw that photo. It's literally just like the most
innocent thing, just photos of everyone else. Oh yeah behind her, yeah,
pabyah the Diego Just me and Taylor go back to
like you know, there's like the little private room behind
the seats. Yeah, like the like whatever you call like
food and drinks and stuff. Me and Taylor would go
in there like between every fight, just like get a
(41:03):
water and uh, like we're talking with somebody. I forgot
who it was. It was these two college football players.
I forgot who they were. And Diego just pops out
of nowhere, just energy out of ten, just like yo, Taylor,
and we're like, yo, what like just add in nowhere?
Just I forgot what he was even talking about. Me
and Taylor were like, where the hell did Diego come from?
Speaker 1 (41:20):
But yeah, great weekend.
Speaker 6 (41:22):
Yeah, I'm trying to think I'm missing anything.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
Think that was your video, by the way, you in
the row the curtains opening up.
Speaker 6 (41:28):
That was one of those I think I told Mitch
this morning. I was like, that's one of those because
I don't tweet that much. I'm like trying to tweet
more working here. Yeah, I was like, that would have
been one of the biggest misses if that wasn't funny,
because I was like, if this isn't funny, that's like
the cringiest video ever if people are.
Speaker 2 (41:40):
Just like what is it?
Speaker 6 (41:40):
Like why are you posting?
Speaker 5 (41:42):
I was praying that he was going to end it
dropping the roll and video cuts right before he's a
You know, it would have been elite because when I'm
taking that, like, think about how did.
Speaker 1 (41:54):
You stay in that in the big room of Taylor.
Did you get your own.
Speaker 6 (41:56):
Big room, big room, big room, big room. I mean
that room is just like absurd its own.
Speaker 1 (42:05):
We were in like uh we were We were in
like a sweet the first time. And you know, if
you're a big gambler in Vegas, like they want you
to keep coming back. Yes, So it's like the house
always wins, so they want to keep courting you. They
want you to keep coming back. And every time Taylor
would go back, the room just got bigger and bigger.
Speaker 6 (42:22):
And this one's called the Viva. That's that the Viva. Yeah,
on that top floor. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean that room.
They might they might have to give Taylor like a
little like a little like twin bed next time, based
on what he got this weekend.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
That was like, how does this work? Like you just
left with a lot of money? Like no, no, they
want to give you more right when you win. That's
what I'm saying. When win, say, say Taylor, didn't they.
Speaker 6 (42:45):
Give you money? And then they're like, now here's the
best room ever?
Speaker 1 (42:48):
Say Taylor wasn't say there was no relationship with Dane
in the UF Yeah, and Taylor was just a massive
gambler in Vegas. Yeah, if he's winning like that at
Red Rock, they're going to continue to put him up
as because they want him to keep coming back. And
he took him for however much money. Yeah, they want
him to come back because I understand tables, the more
chance that it swings into the house's favor, so you're
(43:10):
gonna court you even more even though you beat him.
Speaker 6 (43:13):
The Taylor's tell me like there's like there he said
there's things that he mentioned years ago to like one
employee that he likes, like, oh I like like this
product or something like that. And then like when you
get in the room, it's just pyramids of that product
like they had, Like it's like the most customized room
for you too.
Speaker 1 (43:30):
Yeah it is.
Speaker 6 (43:33):
Like I said, it's not a real world, it's fake.
It's fantasy land. Oh yeah. That was us on a
party bus with Michael Chandler, Like, yeah, I was expecting.
Speaker 1 (43:42):
More Jared Out in the Wild videos. I took a couple.
Speaker 6 (43:46):
I have another video on that bus that I can't post.
You can show us after Yeah, well, and I'll say
it's funny. Michael Chandler is like giving Taylor basically a
lap dance, and I was like, Taylor, like, we gotta
post this, and he's like, that's just for us. So
maybe I should have said.
Speaker 1 (44:02):
Yeah, we gotta the way that you just delivered that
you might have to cut the whole.
Speaker 6 (44:07):
That's not that's not not okay, not like a lap dance.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
But he just said there's a video I have that
I couldn't post. That was Michael Chandler giving Taylor lawana
lap dance. And You're like, oh, this would be funny
to post, and they say, no, don't post it.
Speaker 6 (44:22):
That's just for us, Like, yeah, that's my bad, Mitch.
Speaker 10 (44:28):
You guys, uh I, I have a question.
Speaker 6 (44:34):
It was like sober, just.
Speaker 1 (44:40):
Let Jared keep going.
Speaker 11 (44:43):
Were there any movie nights with Taylor? I know that
that was something y'all were excited for.
Speaker 6 (44:47):
No, And it's funny because we we've been hyping up
that we all wanted to watch Pearl Harbor the movie,
Like we've been talking about that all weekend. We're like,
we gotta get to the room to watch Pearl Harbor.
And again, not to spoil the the vlog, when we
were about to go, we went downstairs to just say
hey to somebody like in the in the high roller room. Right,
We're just gonna go say hey to like so and so,
(45:08):
and then we're gonna go up and spend the next
like four hours watching them or however, it's a long
ass movie. And that when we walked in there is
when Taylor hopped on a table that won him the
biggest payday of his life, like just a little throw away, like,
oh yeah, I'll throw something on here. And that was
the biggest win of the vlog, was that one when
we were gonna go watch a movie and we stayed
down there for only like fifteen minutes, but then we
were on such a high. I think we like went
(45:29):
to the pool or something like we were just like
that was crazy. But yeah, we did not get a
movie in, but we wanted to watch Pearl Harbor so
bad all weekend. Yeah, we'll hit a movie sometimes probably not.
Speaker 1 (45:39):
Transition to uh a big week coming up. Sherman Young
is having his first kid. Sherman, how are you feeling
you could say something? We do have her for the
dad spot. That'll drop Wednesday morning. That'll drop as you're
listening to this for the dads, will drop to Yes, big,
(46:03):
big week ahead.
Speaker 11 (46:05):
Jill's mom got in town last night. We're getting the
house prepped. Nursery looks great. Duna base in my car
is set up for those at home that don't know
what a duna base is. That's the car seat. Yep,
So the chariots ready for the drive home from the hospital.
(46:25):
Dms are getting flooded with dad advice. Shout out to
everybody that's been dming me. It's sick all the stuff
that I've learned just in the last like two nights
of just going through DMS, and it's just all these
people being super supportive.
Speaker 1 (46:40):
Don't do this, do this.
Speaker 11 (46:42):
The first poops like, uh, you know tar, which Jill
warned me about. You know, stay in the trenches. Do
what the wife says, don't get on this side of
her body during delivery, stay you know, above the legs. Yeah,
stay north of the but hold the legs, keep her
in the straddle.
Speaker 1 (47:03):
We're ready, dude.
Speaker 6 (47:04):
I'm nervous, dude.
Speaker 1 (47:06):
It's yeah. It's gonna change your life, bro, for the better.
For the better. There'll be some moments you'll be ready
to leave. Oh yeah, hey, should I leave my family
right now with you?
Speaker 5 (47:18):
They say, single moms, breed NFL draft face.
Speaker 1 (47:21):
Yeah, yeah, it's gonna be awesome, man, and uh maybe
hoping fingers cross, freedom baby.
Speaker 11 (47:32):
Fingers cross freedom baby. So what we're looking at is
ten thirty is when we'll be on. The second is
our appointment for induction. And this isn't an elective induction.
It's like a for an actual medical reason. So fingers
cross and knock on wood that we have a hospital
(47:52):
bed when we get there.
Speaker 1 (47:53):
But if everything goes.
Speaker 11 (47:55):
To plan, there'll be ten thirty on the second Jill
gets induced. Around eleven forty five ish is like when
that process happens. So we're almost on the third by
that time, So then if it's you know, that twenty
four hour mark, and we we'll see. Yeah, it could
be a freedom baby, but she'll probably come on the third,
(48:15):
which is totally fine. I was talking with Mitch. I
was like, we might have to get on the eastern
side of that building, get the fireworks show of a downtown.
Speaker 1 (48:25):
That'd be crazy. Yn't cast it off right? Oh yeah,
excited for you man. You guys got any big Fourth
July plans coming up? You know, your boys going back
to BoNT Missouri.
Speaker 5 (48:37):
Your boy going to Lichfield. Uh, South Carolina Sittings family.
They always do a beach trip every Fourth of July.
So I'll be down there. I think we'll get there
on Thursday night, late drive from Charleston to Litchfield, which
is right by Myrtle Beach for those of you that
don't know. And yeah, Fourth July greatest holiday. Can't wait
to be out there walking the beach.
Speaker 1 (48:58):
Is Fourth July your favorite holiday?
Speaker 5 (49:00):
It's not.
Speaker 6 (49:01):
There's not a close second either.
Speaker 1 (49:03):
Yeah, I guess I guess you share Christmas.
Speaker 6 (49:07):
Yeah, Christmas is might be my third favorite.
Speaker 1 (49:12):
Yeah, I Fourth of July is definitely up there. I'm
thinking it's my number two behind Christmas. It's just the
vibes of Christmas are just so. But the Fourth of July,
summertime with around friends and family, everybody wearing the red, red,
white and blue, celebrating America best food. Yeah, barbecue sides,
(49:34):
paper plates, Mitch, you know you're gonna be bringing the
paper plates this year to your to your cookout for
the Fourth of July.
Speaker 8 (49:41):
Back to Pennsylvania, No, I got I got a buddy
coming in, Buddy and his fiance coming to town, and
we are gonna go see Mike on Saturday. So needless
to say, I am very, very excited for this weekend.
I'm a massive steve been wanting to see Mike for
probably two or three years now. Couldn't last year at
(50:03):
Bonnerou because we had Kittle on and you guys made
the pod run long. But I am so excited to
go see Mike. I mean, before we were recording, I
was we were bumping him. Someone make it stop, p.
Speaker 2 (50:17):
Street, I mean you name it.
Speaker 8 (50:20):
Yeah, I mean I've been the last two years of
my Spotify wrapped. I've been like in the point one
percent of.
Speaker 1 (50:26):
You're not peaking behind the curtain, You're behind the curtain.
Speaker 8 (50:28):
Yeah, I'm I'm gonna be have like SR head to
tell I'm gonna be in there with all the Steves.
Speaker 1 (50:36):
Are you going to get to meet him?
Speaker 2 (50:37):
I don't know.
Speaker 8 (50:39):
I don't know if you might be able to shoot
a text or something, but shout out Cam. He's their
merch guy.
Speaker 2 (50:47):
He uh.
Speaker 8 (50:48):
He said he might be able to hook us up,
hook us up with tickets, and even if we were,
he would just get its like general admission. I'd be amazing.
But I would love to meet him and it would
definitely got to get a picture. And I'm probably gonna
probably just pull Jared. Not know what to do with myself.
But my buddy Andy, who's coming down. He actually put
(51:08):
me on to Mike, and this will be his third
Mike concert in like a year. He went earlier when
they were in Philly.
Speaker 1 (51:15):
He tours with him.
Speaker 2 (51:16):
Yeah, damn near he went.
Speaker 8 (51:17):
He went to the Philly concert and then when Mike
did like his first round of tours before he said
he was going again, he went up to New York
to see him. So we're gonna I'm excited. I'm very
very I've had this day marked off for what.
Speaker 1 (51:34):
Are you gonna say to him. You get to meet him,
what are you gonna say to him? You gonna say, hey,
how are you? Steve?
Speaker 8 (51:38):
Yeah, probably like hey, how are you? And then be like,
but no, actually I'm a massive fan. Like you know,
I just put your music. I've been in your point
zero one percent of listeners for the last two years.
Speaker 2 (51:48):
Like you're the man. I know you get this all
the time, but we got to get you back.
Speaker 1 (51:53):
On the bus. He just says, that's cool, man, dash
up you take a photo that. I mean, that'll you
would you be thinking about what you said doing that
all he gave you.
Speaker 2 (52:03):
Yeah, for sure, But I still got to meet him
and talk to him.
Speaker 1 (52:07):
Take a picture.
Speaker 8 (52:07):
Yeah, I'm very very excited. Uh Andy gets in Thursday
and then we'll probably probably have a party at the house.
Speaker 5 (52:21):
Get a couple of lights, yeah, a couple neutrals.
Speaker 2 (52:24):
Yeah, but neutrals, you know, keep it tasty. But yeah,
probably have have some people over. I mean, sharam was
at the last Fourth of July party.
Speaker 1 (52:33):
You are you going to host the Fourth of July party?
Speaker 2 (52:35):
Probably? Yeah. We got like the biggest space out of
all of our friends with the house and stuff. Got
the rooftop probably get some some games going.
Speaker 6 (52:45):
It'll be the rooftop.
Speaker 12 (52:49):
Inte.
Speaker 8 (52:50):
Oh yeah, everybody gets the invite, especially Coop, but I
think he's out of town. But yeah, last year when
Sharam came, we had like a punk tournament and then
we went downtown watched fireworks.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
It was a good day. So this is gonna be
a great weekend. I'm very excited.
Speaker 11 (53:08):
A huge turn of events now that I think about it,
that Jill last year on fourth of July beat me
in a beer punk tournament and now she's giving birth
to our first daughter a year later.
Speaker 1 (53:19):
What a turn of events. What a turn of events.
I'm hoping to take on the championship for our Bags tournament,
our annual Bags tournament at the Farcass. We'll be on
the gravel, tens will be out, vibes will be high,
bud lights will be flowing. We draw it out of
a hat, so every team is drawn out of a hat.
It's usually like a I want to say, around eight
(53:41):
to ten team tournament, and it's kind of just randomized.
Speaker 5 (53:44):
It could be another one of those moments that you've
been chasing, that feeling.
Speaker 1 (53:49):
Buddy that does in airmail. In the championship that pop
in Boston. I don't know if it can be replicated.
That's all. That's all I tell you. I'm kicking myself.
I'm kicking myself. I should have took somebody out to
(54:09):
vlog it.
Speaker 6 (54:11):
Yeah, gosh.
Speaker 1 (54:13):
I was talking to Germ about it the day before.
I was like, I can't tell that on somebody last
minute like that. Hey, you think somebody want to rip
out the Boston with your boy? Probably some good stuff
out there. Crowd will probably, crowd'll probably high. And it
was we don't have to keep talking about Shout out
jef D Low, Cheffy D, Jeffy D and Willie C.
(54:36):
You want to get into goon or of the month.
Do we want to do tear talk? We want to
do we want to tear talk, patriotic movies. Shout out
pet Peeve. We can do whatever we want. Boys, this
podcast is ours. You got a shout out, go ahead
and started off, rip it off.
Speaker 13 (54:51):
I want to give a shout out to Luke Comb's
actually that tight end you. We didn't get to touch
on it, but the way the green room was set up,
if you walk straight, there's like door to the left
before you get down steps and I run into someone.
I turn I say sorry, it's Luke Combs. I'm like, hey,
got the boys in the back, they'd love to meet you.
Speaker 6 (55:09):
He's like, oh, hell yeah, let's go.
Speaker 2 (55:11):
We walked back.
Speaker 13 (55:12):
I walk in them like, hey, I don't know if
you guys know this guy, I mean Will and Taylor,
you guys talk to him for what thirty minutes.
Speaker 6 (55:16):
He was so down to earth, so cool, so loves ball,
loves ball.
Speaker 1 (55:20):
This is a guy. Luke Combs is a guy you
want on your team. And after a win or a loss,
let's just call it high school football. You win and
lose with this guy, he's gonna be at the house,
the house party afterwards, and you're just gonna be talking
about how you should have won, how you could have won,
how we're in the best moments of our life. That's
the type of attitude that this guy has. He loves ball,
(55:42):
he loves ball. He's all about the boys. And he
was telling some fun stories stories that's like, Yo, when
you do come on like this, we're gonna have to
reenact our entire energy. When he told this story back
when he played in high school, Yeah.
Speaker 10 (55:54):
We gotta get him on the bus. Gotta gotta happen
at this point.
Speaker 1 (55:58):
He's gotta be somebody that comes on maybe a couple
of times on busting this this football season, just because
he can break down ball. He can break down ball
with you. He loves college football, can talk NFL, but
he he's about it.
Speaker 13 (56:14):
Panthers Jersey, Yeah, what do they called those? The Cambo Wons,
Greg Olsen Retro Panthers.
Speaker 1 (56:20):
And then who's his college team? Yeah, app State, that's right,
because he was giving Taylor ship and he's sick about
the n I L because a state he's I don't
know we'll be able to win.
Speaker 5 (56:31):
He comes, he's the same high school as Caleb.
Speaker 1 (56:35):
Yeah, he's part of the whole tree.
Speaker 5 (56:38):
Caleb is Chase Rice, Caleb Chase Rice, Luke Comb's and
there's one other big one ric o'dowdell, South Carolina running
back now with the Panthers. And but there is somebody
else from that high school. For sicking, can we do?
We can do shout out or pet Peeve?
Speaker 6 (56:56):
Yeah, I get something off your chess, Mitch. I know you, yeah,
you bet for me.
Speaker 5 (57:00):
I actually saw Will do this the other week. And
it's not just specific to Will. It's to everybody, because
these are always the people that always ask, hey, can
I borrow your charger? And I'm sitting next to Will
in one of the meetings. His laptop is going I know,
they got a record for the dad's after and he
gets the notification that his iPad is at twenty percent
(57:23):
and it says would you like to go to low
power mode or would you'd like to just cancel it?
And sure enough, Will cancels it, and then the ten
percent one comes on again. He cancels that one, declines
low power mode, and then ten minutes later, has anybody
seen my charger? Man? My iPad died. I had no
idea it was about to die. Really had to, yes, bro,
(57:46):
And whenever people don't put on their low power mode,
I'm like the phone, iPad, whatever it is, gives you
two opportunities to at least make the most of your battery,
So just do it. There's no I don't understand why
people press cancel on it. You're right, You're right, that's
my pet Peeve man. You're right because I'll tell you this.
Even when I cancel it and.
Speaker 1 (58:07):
It continues to get lower, I always ask myself, why
don't you touch low power mode.
Speaker 5 (58:13):
It's the same button. It's the same button, and you
have to press a button. It doesn't go away, Like
you have to make a decision. You're right, and people
make the wrong decision too often.
Speaker 1 (58:27):
You're right, man.
Speaker 11 (58:28):
And a huge shout out to JP because like that
one hurt you, because immediately after it happened, he had.
Speaker 1 (58:33):
To come get off his chest.
Speaker 11 (58:34):
He was like, I just saw some wicked shit go down.
Speaker 12 (58:38):
I don't know how to deal with it.
Speaker 1 (58:43):
Go ahead, Minch, the floor is yours.
Speaker 8 (58:45):
My pet peeve of the week is when people say
they're going to do something and then do not follow
through with it. We had a situ I had a
situation this weekend. We were helping one of my friends move.
She made a group chat. It's like it's and it's
not like one of your boys. It's like a friend
that's like a girl, like a friend that's ours, and
(59:09):
so like obviously like she's not gonna be able to move,
like the bigger stuff that like guys like she's gonna
have she's gonna struggle with that. So she made a
group chat like two weeks two three weeks before she
was gonna move. Hey, guys, like I'm moving this weekend.
Is anybody here to help? And everybody in the group
chat said, yes, we got you. It comes Saturday, time
(59:31):
to move. Everybody fails and I'm the only one there
helping her. And one of our guys, one of say
his name Foul, Oh, not Foul, Foul. This is your guy,
This is my best friend, and this is a very
(59:54):
like the person we were helping moving is a good
friend of ours, like a good friend of Foul, good
friend of mine. Like it's one of those people you
want to help. He said, yeah, we got you. We're
down to help this motherfucker said, I'm like, I'm about
to go help Jordan. You're gonna be able to help out.
He's like, nah, I got to go to an apartment,
(01:00:17):
mind you, and an apartment tour takes twenty minutes. I
was there helping her for three four hours moving stuff,
and this kid never showed up, and I was so
pissed with him. And then a couple of my other
buddies they were golfing, and they came after the round
of golf and including one guy who barely knows Jordan's
(01:00:40):
still helped him, still helped her move, and Foul never came.
Speaker 9 (01:00:44):
I was.
Speaker 8 (01:00:45):
I still haven't seen him since Saturday. We live in
the same house and I haven't seen him.
Speaker 1 (01:00:49):
In oree days.
Speaker 8 (01:00:50):
Have you talked to him? No, I haven't had the
opportunity because right now he's at work. He's not gonna as.
Speaker 6 (01:01:00):
Foul might be lashing out as well.
Speaker 5 (01:01:03):
I know him and Mitch have lived together for a
long time, and it sounds like Foul is looking for
an apartment.
Speaker 6 (01:01:09):
So maybe is are y'all no longer?
Speaker 2 (01:01:11):
Well?
Speaker 3 (01:01:11):
No?
Speaker 8 (01:01:11):
So, uh, Like there's four guys in the house right now.
Three of them have girlfriends except Foul. Uh, and we're
all moving in with our girlfriends. Oh, and so Foul
is gonna be by himself. But like our lease isn't
up until September, and he's doing it in June, so
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (01:01:30):
Matt will live with him?
Speaker 5 (01:01:34):
All right?
Speaker 12 (01:01:37):
That's Foul, See the guy.
Speaker 2 (01:01:45):
He's not gonna answer.
Speaker 1 (01:01:46):
He's on he's working.
Speaker 2 (01:01:48):
He's working there, he is. You're on the pod live
right now?
Speaker 1 (01:02:00):
Are you serious?
Speaker 2 (01:02:01):
Yeah? What's I got words for you?
Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
Foul?
Speaker 6 (01:02:07):
Mitch just did his pet Peeve.
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
What's up?
Speaker 7 (01:02:09):
Foul?
Speaker 1 (01:02:09):
Mitch just did his pet Peeve and his pet peeve
of the week was how everybody in the group chats
they were said they were gonna help Jordan move and
you were an absolute no show. Not only were you
a no show, you didn't say oh damn word about it.
You golfed all day long. You didn't tell oh he
wasn't golfing apartment. You were torn an apartment. You didn't
(01:02:30):
let people know you weren't gonna come. And Mitch, as
his best friend, is absolutely pissed at you for letting
everybody down.
Speaker 14 (01:02:38):
He's mad at me.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
Yeah, yes, very much.
Speaker 6 (01:02:42):
So you shouldn't be mad at me.
Speaker 4 (01:02:44):
I stopped going on.
Speaker 2 (01:02:45):
Man, you were touring apartment for twenty minutes.
Speaker 6 (01:02:48):
I tore two apartments for for an hour, and I
had something at night.
Speaker 12 (01:02:51):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:02:52):
And I was there for three or four hours helping
her move.
Speaker 1 (01:02:56):
Put you put that work in, put that word, and
I happened.
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
To be and you said that you were gonna be
able to help her and you never did.
Speaker 1 (01:03:05):
Yeah, some stuff came up, for sure, that's on me.
I apologize, you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (01:03:09):
You don't got to apologize to mean, you gotta apologize
to Jordan.
Speaker 6 (01:03:13):
Yeah, I'll make it up to her, I'll make it
up to it all right.
Speaker 2 (01:03:15):
We're gonna talk more tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:03:17):
Absolutely absolutely, hey man, seeing.
Speaker 2 (01:03:20):
You all right, buddy was such a legend.
Speaker 1 (01:03:26):
Absolutely absolutely pleasure seeing you. Pleasure.
Speaker 8 (01:03:29):
See It's like he's like, oh yeah, I got shit
going on, you know what I mean. It's like, no,
you said you were gonna go tour the duet and
then which takes twenty minutes. It's five down, five minutes
down the road from us. He had a tour in
the morning, way before we even started moving, and never
never showed up. He texted Jordan's like, oh, sorry, like
I'm not gonna be able to make it, like some
bullshit excuse.
Speaker 2 (01:03:50):
And then dude, I.
Speaker 1 (01:03:52):
I you were seeing red. I still am, like I
was gonna say, you can't even get words out right now.
Speaker 2 (01:03:58):
Talking about it now is making me even more angry
than I was early.
Speaker 6 (01:04:02):
So time out, time out.
Speaker 1 (01:04:04):
So he texted Jordan before the day started. He said
he wasn't going to be able to come.
Speaker 8 (01:04:07):
He texted her in the morning said like, hey, something
came up. I'm not going to be able to come,
which is yes, yes, smart, Like he's getting getting ahead.
Speaker 1 (01:04:17):
Of it because I'm with you on the pet peeve
of committing to something and not following through on your commitments.
Speaker 8 (01:04:22):
He committed to it like two weeks ago and then
scheduled the stuff he had to do. He scheduled after
the fact of committing. If that makes sense.
Speaker 6 (01:04:30):
Yeah, so he knew he but he's trying to find
a place to live.
Speaker 2 (01:04:34):
We have two more months to do that. Our least
isn't up until the middle of sense.
Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
Some stuff came up.
Speaker 8 (01:04:43):
See you don't know foul like I do. Some stuff
came up. He was laying in bed. He's probably jaying
off or something.
Speaker 1 (01:04:52):
But this is a kid show. This is a kids show.
Speaker 2 (01:04:55):
I promise you, I promise you. He was laying in bed.
Speaker 8 (01:05:03):
And then he left as soon as I got back
from helping her move, and so I didn't even get
a chance to talk to him. And then yesterday he
was just up in his room the entire the entire day.
Nobody in our house saw him until he did a
load of laundry at ten o'clock at night. And our
dryers we have a buzzer on our dry And I
was just going off like crazy, and I'm like, this
(01:05:24):
motherfucker just it just kept stacking him. I was, I
was pissed and still am.
Speaker 11 (01:05:30):
I just want to interject very quickly, I have never
heard neither foul nor you sound more Philly than in
that conversation. The Philly boys came out and I wish
you could see foul space with Hey.
Speaker 6 (01:05:43):
Something came up that night though.
Speaker 10 (01:05:45):
For sure, you know what I mean, he was giving
him the eyes like you really doing this right now?
Speaker 1 (01:05:51):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:05:51):
Yeah, I mean we definitely did just ambush him there,
especially at work. And now he just texted me, so
I don't know what he has to say, but yeah,
there's gonna be a conversation. There's gonna be a conversation
had tonight and I will report back.
Speaker 1 (01:06:05):
Hey shout out, no free shout out to the person
who brings an exciting dessert to the cookout on fourth
of July last year. And I forget who it was,
but somebody that just has a dessert laying there and
it was it caught my eye and I love fruit pizzas.
You gave a fruit pizza shout out not too long ago.
(01:06:26):
But those people who go out of their way to
bring in a creative, creative dish, a dessert of some kind,
because people are there, they're grilling out. Hey, bring sides
if you want to. You got the bags of chips,
you got sides of you know your boy loves baked beans.
I love the bake beans now. But then the people
who go out of their way to bring a nice
dessert dish, that kind of just sets the whole party
on fire.
Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
It's like, oh shit, hey, who made this? Who made
Oh Jennifer, you made this.
Speaker 1 (01:06:48):
This shit is amazing. But shout out those people. Shout
out no free. Shoutouts to people who bring the desserts
on turn the cookout on fourth.
Speaker 11 (01:06:56):
Of July, shout out no free shout out Happy Gilmore,
the og. Happy Gilmore watched that last night and I
haven't belly laughed like that in a freaking minute.
Speaker 1 (01:07:06):
Dude.
Speaker 11 (01:07:07):
It's every scene, every single scene. I would go to say,
it's in my top five comedies of all time, not
just Adam Sandler, but all time comedies. Happy Gilmore and
can great movie.
Speaker 1 (01:07:19):
Great movie. On that note too, we didn't do Pizza
Friday and movie Night because we had our anniversary date
night on Friday, so we did Uh. We didn't movie
night yesterday, Saturday or Sunday. We watched Night at the Museum,
Night at the Museum, Rouse all the way bought into
(01:07:39):
and that's a cool that's a good movie.
Speaker 2 (01:07:42):
The part where he's like, do not touch this.
Speaker 1 (01:07:44):
Yeah, go ahead, mate. Anybody else got a shout out,
no free shout out, Matt, you don't want to shout out,
no free shout out A picture you took with Taylor
Swift that you might as well talk about it. You
(01:08:04):
posted about it.
Speaker 15 (01:08:06):
Uh, well, I got a lot of heat from you
guys from it, so I'm trying to get so just.
Speaker 1 (01:08:09):
For some context, Clump and Matt went into uh, tight
end us like pre party before tight End you week
kicked off what's up? Welcome They're a welcome party, and
Clump wanted to go with the mission of booking brock Bauers,
which brock Bowers will be on the show here soon
(01:08:31):
and uh they got the experience of meeting a lot
of the tight Ends and came across Taylor Swift and
Matt's sitting here chopping up Matt. Matt. By the way,
Matt is an intern at Bust with the Boys. He's
been an intern with us for a cup of coffee
so far, and he's uh, he's rolling with the with
the head dog Jeremy clump over to in a working situation,
(01:08:54):
and he apparently is just you know, talking Taylor zero
off the entire time and then at the very end
ask her for a photo. He gets the photo with
Taylor Swift and then he posts it on Snapchat. We're
not gonna say if that was the leak that let
everybody know that t Swift was in Nashville. I'm sure
there's a lot of fan pages on the back end
(01:09:15):
and know where every move. However, Matt Malone is his
name as an intern with Busting with the Boy's been
here a couple of coffee, biggest person celebrity that we've
come across and on a working trip is going out
of his way to talk this celebrities year off and
then ask her for a photo and putting it on
a Snapchat.
Speaker 6 (01:09:36):
Mind you, I won't say the rest.
Speaker 8 (01:09:37):
Any photo that we took with Taylor in it had
to get sent somewhere else to get.
Speaker 1 (01:09:43):
Pre Any photo that we took with Taylor in it
had to get pre approved. Matt. Now the floor is
yours for your shot. I know for you shut up?
Speaker 15 (01:09:50):
Yeah, So I just tell you, like kind of step
by stuff what happened, because that was just that's very
surface level what happened. You got I gotta send up
for myself.
Speaker 1 (01:09:58):
But I kind of nailed it.
Speaker 6 (01:09:59):
Yeah, fifty percent.
Speaker 9 (01:10:02):
Yes.
Speaker 15 (01:10:02):
So we go up, Me and Clump get the job done.
We're applying pressure, we got, We're getting people on the pod.
We had to do what we had to do. Clump's like, hey,
I'm out of here. Do you want to stay? I said, yeah,
once in a lifetime opportunity, shut up the bust of
the boys for this opportunity. Very excited, So I stayed
and we were with the management team and so they
were like, hey, Matt. You know, they were more excited
(01:10:25):
to take the photo of Taylor Swift. I'm not a
huge listener, but I was like sure. So they were like,
can we go get this photo of Taylor?
Speaker 6 (01:10:31):
Can you take it?
Speaker 15 (01:10:32):
I said, yeah, sure, let's let's go. So we, you know,
organically start talking to her. I'm just standing there. I'm
not saying a word, I'm not doing anything. They're like, Matt,
can you take this photo of Taylor? And I said sure,
So I take the photo and I said, all right,
I kind of want to talk to Taylor. So, in
the most organic way possible, I go, did you go
(01:10:53):
to Hendersonville High School? She's a nat she lived in Nationville.
She goes, oh, yeah I did. So we start chopping
it up and it was very normal. It is a
great conversation. She's all class, she's all class, very sweet,
very sweet.
Speaker 1 (01:11:06):
Yeah.
Speaker 15 (01:11:06):
I think she wanted to hear somebody from Nashville, just
kind of you know, I'm not a huge fan, but
I didn't. She wanted to hear somebody from that, I think, so, Yeah,
I think it was a refreshing conversation for her. So
we talked about Yeah, we talked about Hendersonville and you know,
I went to father Ryan, So we were talking about
that and then yeah, so we start talking. Then I go, hey, like,
I don't want to be this guy. I was like,
(01:11:27):
but can we take a photo? I was like, I
want to impress some women, and she was like, I'd
love to do that. So we take the photo and
this is where it gets good. So we take this
is crazy, This was unbelievable. So we take the photo
and I'm not touching her. I don't, you know, I'm
very respectful hands, you know, right here and she goes,
should I put my arm on your shoulder?
Speaker 6 (01:11:47):
And I was like, oh my god.
Speaker 15 (01:11:49):
So I was like, yes, I love that, and we
take the iconic photo and I and I didn't want
to post. I didn't post on Instagram and I'm you know,
I have no following. So I was like, all wrote
on the story, just see what happens. Did I caption it?
Speaker 10 (01:12:02):
Hey, babe, Yeah I did.
Speaker 1 (01:12:04):
I did.
Speaker 15 (01:12:06):
I got a lot of texts. It was awesome, but
the boys gave me a lot of heat. I should
have kept the professional I was in the big spotlight
for future reference, I won't do that anymore. But it
was a super cool moment for sure. Shout out clump
shot everybody. But I think she wanted an organic conversation
from a Nashville local and we chopped it up for
(01:12:28):
like ten minutes and now when I walked in, I said,
fifteen twenty.
Speaker 6 (01:12:33):
It was probably.
Speaker 10 (01:12:35):
The story changes.
Speaker 15 (01:12:37):
It was like probably eight eight minutes flat, eight minutes flat,
but it was awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:12:42):
It was six, So yeah, it was that was cool.
But yeah, that was that was the story.
Speaker 15 (01:12:47):
Shout out for a shout out Taylor Swift.
Speaker 10 (01:12:49):
I also did meet her in that moment.
Speaker 13 (01:12:51):
Too before that happened, and I just thanked Trav for
having us, said, nice to meet you, Taylor, thanks for
letting trave come on the bus, shook her hand.
Speaker 10 (01:13:00):
And got out of there.
Speaker 6 (01:13:00):
No photo, but uh no, that it was.
Speaker 10 (01:13:02):
She was honestly so cool.
Speaker 6 (01:13:04):
It was it is a sick photo.
Speaker 15 (01:13:05):
She put her arm on my shoulder.
Speaker 10 (01:13:07):
In Matt's defense, he was very well behaved there.
Speaker 1 (01:13:10):
We was fine.
Speaker 13 (01:13:11):
It wasn't just brock Bowers. We got a couple other
guys coming up, which is awesome, and uh, it was
a lot of fun. But she was taking pictures a
lot of people and she was super cool. She gave
me like a punch on the arm because I said
thanks for letting traveck on the bus, and.
Speaker 10 (01:13:23):
She's like his leash ain't that long.
Speaker 12 (01:13:25):
Like she was cool.
Speaker 6 (01:13:26):
She was awesome, really.
Speaker 13 (01:13:27):
Cool, just a cool experience. But but yeah, Matt, he's
I took him in before we got there. I did
tell him it is a work event, so do.
Speaker 1 (01:13:35):
Not We kept it.
Speaker 15 (01:13:37):
We kept it tight.
Speaker 1 (01:13:37):
He did good. Yeah, do you love the brand or
do you love what the brand does for you?
Speaker 15 (01:13:43):
I love the brand, and I also love a little
bit what the brand does for me for sure. Yeah,
and I can be this is an honest show. Yeah,
you got. But that's what that's on you guys for
building such an empire of a show.
Speaker 1 (01:13:55):
That's on you, guys.
Speaker 15 (01:13:57):
I'm popping your tires. You guys built an absolute monster
of a show. I got lucky enough to get, you know.
Speaker 1 (01:14:04):
I think it's part of Anny how you pump our
tires and the public guy when it can work out
in your favorite But you don't pump our tires on
your LinkedIn because Bust went the Boys is nowhere to
be found.
Speaker 15 (01:14:13):
What are you talking about? It's my last post.
Speaker 6 (01:14:17):
WHOA WHOA? Go to what experience?
Speaker 11 (01:14:18):
What?
Speaker 15 (01:14:18):
I got one hundred and ninety eight likes on my
last LinkedIn post. Check it out right now? Check it
out right now, right there. Very grateful for the opportunity.
You still am very grateful?
Speaker 1 (01:14:32):
Damn sure experience.
Speaker 15 (01:14:37):
Well, I mean I'm going to add that on there.
I'm too busy, you know, trying to help you guys.
I don't want to be on LinkedIn right now. I
want to be pumping out if he did, if he
didn't have that last post, we would have had him
there for a longfellow. No, Yeah, that's right there. And
I did make sure I did the fan duel logo
one too.
Speaker 7 (01:14:55):
Part.
Speaker 1 (01:15:00):
Yeah, sure him had it up here, like, uh he
had something typed up and he's like, no, not on
the LinkedIn profile.
Speaker 15 (01:15:06):
Damn the fraternity once on there, I got to delete that.
Speaker 1 (01:15:10):
That's a member of fraternity.
Speaker 15 (01:15:12):
If you keep going down, it's crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:15:13):
Like I worked at the Zoo, yeah, key player, Yeah
it was wild.
Speaker 15 (01:15:19):
But yeah, that was an incredible opportunity, like incredible, and
she is really like the coolest person ever and like
she is, she's like she's like Elvis popular, probably way
more than Elvis.
Speaker 1 (01:15:31):
Yeah, I mean the thing that she has again, people
can say, oh, she's a pro, she's trained, she's just
and that dude, you don't have you're not on a
pedestal so high and you're able to just operate like
that twenty four to seven, especially with fans, like you know,
you're more inclined to do it when you're working with
brains and people around you and medians and stuff like that.
But again, fans that were getting to her, dude, and
(01:15:51):
the moments that she that she was having with fans
was was really cool to see. Yeah, all right, let's
let's hit let's hit gooder in the month, and we'll
get out of here because we've been how long we've
been going? Mitch, got to keep it under an hour.
Got to keep it under an hour. God, have to
keep it under an hour. Let me check my phone
because we had a three way tie, and Jesus sure,
and you're gonna have to get a new shirt. Bro,
(01:16:18):
all right, we have a we have a two way tie.
How do we end the two way tie? And gave
the other I had text out to Jack, Garrett and
(01:16:38):

(01:17:24):
way tie, and I'm wondering how we break that tie.
Should it just go whoever I voted for?
Speaker 2 (01:17:31):
We could throw it to the comments and whoever has more.
Speaker 1 (01:17:35):
But the comments they're they're not on the inside. Yeah,
they're not on the inside.
Speaker 5 (01:17:40):
Sounds like it's up to you, all right, Wilwill's doing this.
I would like to give another shout out to True
Classic in that I swear that every single time I
wear True Classic, whether it's pants, shirt, jacket, somebody, you're
guaranteed to get one positive comment about your outfit because
(01:18:00):
there's no logo. Everybody asked, hey, where'd you get those pants?
Where'd you get that shirt?
Speaker 6 (01:18:05):
Slash? That shirt makes you look jacked.
Speaker 5 (01:18:08):
And I've never seen another brand hold it like that.
And so you know, as a former Gooner of the Month, Winter,
that gift card change my whole entire life when I'm
out there walking around Nashville, because people are like, man,
where'd you get this?
Speaker 1 (01:18:22):
Hey, dude, off of that. When I was in Chicago
a couple weeks ago doing dozen, I was around fights
and he was asking like, Hey, how's light blah blah blah.
We're going back and forth. He's like, I mean, look

we're doing True Classic for a minute now. I'm just
rocking at True Classic te this one right here. Basically,

an absolute dog in the shop. You handle a lot
of different stuff. You touch everything that the brand touches.
You oversee all the shit that goes on. You have
all the back end conversations, monotonous, annoying, whatever it is,
(01:19:07):
you handle it. You handle it with class except for
that one time. And you also which you know we
don't got to get into or talk about, but you
also have stuff going on off the field with your
family that I know makes things hard at times. But
you are a fucking stud and a gooner for busting
with the boys, So shout out you for winning Gooner
of the Month at Busting with the Boys.
Speaker 10 (01:19:27):
Well, yes, speech, I'll go speech.
Speaker 13 (01:19:31):

the boys. I'm gonna I'm gonna split up that gift

I probably should rock some more true classics.
Speaker 1 (01:20:13):

Speaker 10 (01:20:15):
It's cash.
Speaker 1 (01:20:16):

sitting here. Obviously, Travis just flew in G six, gets in,
he doesn't have a hat on. He gets off the
plane and goes, hey, by the way, he got that
half from me, the part he puts that one on.

Speaker 1 (01:22:48):
Clearly a lot of you know, a lot of good
fun shit talking banter on the internet with the New
Heights podcast and must with the boys, but they're there's
no shot. Yes, buddy. You guys ended the year last
year on a five game losing streak.
Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Yeah, which means we were getting guys ready for this year.
Sitting guys, Yeah, not sitting guys getting guys in that
we needed to get experienced.
Speaker 14 (01:23:11):
So hold on, let me just break that down here.
Speaker 2 (01:23:13):
And we got a quarterback coming back. Soresby is gonna
be Yeah, we just got a new indoor. Guys are
gonna be funny, getting.
Speaker 1 (01:23:24):
Better, like we're getting back.
Speaker 12 (01:23:25):
Here's what I'll here's what I say.
Speaker 1 (01:23:26):
Matt Rule got them boys, buddy, We're going to be
a pack of wally and you guys are gonna be
buddies in a petting zoo. And you're not gonna know
what hits you when we grab every end every.
Speaker 2 (01:23:36):
Limit them boys doing up there.
Speaker 14 (01:23:38):
Huh, it's not account we're gonna get that. We're gonna
get Matt Roll shown up. So you guys, you're coaching staff,
you got a five game losing streak, and your answer
to that is the coaches decided, let's not even focus
in the game plan, so focus on this team anymore.
Let's we'll get some guys in here that we want
to get in.
Speaker 6 (01:23:52):
No, I'm assuming that's what happened.
Speaker 14 (01:23:53):
Okay, And you're going at him for going three and
nine and then five and seven, which is a do
you guys progressed by.
Speaker 2 (01:24:01):
Two games I'm not even thinking about Nebraska progressed by
I'm thinking.
Speaker 1 (01:24:05):
I'm thinking the winning season football game they played last
year because it wasn't the bad Boy Mower's Club.
Speaker 14 (01:24:13):
What Nebraska's doing right now?
Speaker 2 (01:24:15):
What the fuck is this?
Speaker 1 (01:24:18):
We're having some fun?
Speaker 5 (01:24:19):
What is this?
Speaker 1 (01:24:20):
That means? Future national champions?
Speaker 2 (01:24:22):
What is this?
Speaker 12 (01:24:23):
What that means?
Speaker 1 (01:24:24):
Yeah? I think speculate, No, I think we we put
it to bed on the last episode. Okay, that's a
that's a Travis Kelcey fit right down, l is a
Travis Kelsey.
Speaker 2 (01:24:33):
I don't know. That might be mahomes top and bottom
set he got there?
Speaker 14 (01:24:37):
Does does Patrick ever talk about Dilan RelA?
Speaker 2 (01:24:40):
Yeah, Dylan's been to a few games. Yeah, he's good people.
Speaker 14 (01:24:45):
But it gets a little I like Dilan Riola. It
gets a little worrisome when I'm seeing side by sides
of pregames and they're doing the exact same thing.
Speaker 6 (01:24:54):
They got the same like body type too, like they
enjoy beings.
Speaker 14 (01:24:57):
Yeah, you can tell B threes, dude, bad bodyballers. Like
they're doing their thing. They got that B three shot
twenty four to seven.
Speaker 1 (01:25:04):
Are you going to be there?
Speaker 9 (01:25:08):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:25:08):
All right, that's right there, right there. In the backyard. Baby,
It's going to be fun. Are you going to be there?
Speaker 1 (01:25:13):
Oh, We're going to be there, buddy.
Speaker 12 (01:25:16):
Structured around Nebraska.
Speaker 14 (01:25:19):
Will, Will before we even started the new heights or anything,
he goes to me, He's like, Hey, I know we
got the bustle ball this year, but I love to
do Cincinnati, Nebraska and Arrowhead. I think that's a great
one for us. And I think there was one of
maybe Iowa to like there was another game, and I'm
thinking to myself, Will, we can't go to every Nebraska game.
This is getting this is getting out of hand, out
of pocket.
Speaker 1 (01:25:38):
I'm telling you this is this year feels different.
Speaker 14 (01:25:41):
This year fields like it's the definition of insanity with
this guy. Every year, right around this time, right around
tight end you is when Will starts being like dalling you.
We might win it all this year. Then we pull
up the schedule. Then you see a loss on the schedule.
That's what he says.
Speaker 1 (01:25:59):
I can realistically see a loss maybe too.
Speaker 14 (01:26:02):
Yes, September twentieth is the maybe. That's maybe two.
Speaker 1 (01:26:06):
That's the baby. No, the I don't want to put
it out there, Listen, I don't not here to play.
But if I'm gonna be a little realistic. I gotta
have a loss or two on the schedule.
Speaker 14 (01:26:15):
When you and your brother were on your podcast New
Heights talking about this game coming up, Yes, were you
guys nervous about putting a bet in like you? How
confident are you about your bear Cats.
Speaker 2 (01:26:26):
I've lost so many fucking bets that I think I'm
gonna do for a for a win. Okay, I think
I'm due for a win. I wore fucking Texas texts,
mascot helmet, I wore b y U's jersey last year.
I think my bear Cats are gonna fucking they're gonna
come through, and you guys are gonna have to fucking
come on to New Heights and you're rocking a fucking
Cincinnati jersey.
Speaker 1 (01:26:46):
If we lose all rocket Cincinnati hold get up to
get the hatever you wants. Helmet, I'll come in day
of and if you had something else extra Dad, I'll
wear it.
Speaker 14 (01:26:57):
You know it would be awesome.
Speaker 1 (01:26:58):
I'll be yours.
Speaker 14 (01:26:59):
You talk to me around, hate me like one of
your French girls. Yeah, I would think Will Compton, no shirts,
just speedo. A bear Cat's speedo would be a good look.
For the New Heights podcast.
Speaker 2 (01:27:09):
Man, right, I mean, I don't want to get myself
caught up in this ship. I am trying.
Speaker 14 (01:27:16):
Yeah, obviously, I think I think the Bresko was gonna
win that game. I think bears kidding me. I think
I think there is gonna win this game by probably
multiple touch multiple touchdown.
Speaker 2 (01:27:28):
Cats are going to gohead.
Speaker 6 (01:27:31):
It's going to be early on last year we were
we were on fire.
Speaker 2 (01:27:36):
So was the.
Speaker 12 (01:27:38):
When Nebraska be Colorado.
Speaker 2 (01:27:39):
We're on fire.
Speaker 6 (01:27:40):
We won our first five games.
Speaker 1 (01:27:41):
They got mopped by Colorado. First by Colorado.
Speaker 2 (01:27:46):
First of all, it wasn't a great showing, but Colorado,
I know, dude, they got dude Travis Hunter Man, guy's
really good.
Speaker 12 (01:27:58):
You think he's Do you think he's gonna be good
in the NFL?
Speaker 14 (01:28:00):
That's a hard question to ask if you're still active,
But like, what's the expectation a pro both.
Speaker 6 (01:28:05):
Sides, both sides see.
Speaker 2 (01:28:07):
That's the thing. I don't know how they're gonna it's
crazy out. I don't know if because teams are going
to be going after him, right and like they're going
to try and make his day. Yeah, they're gonna try
and make his day miserable.
Speaker 14 (01:28:18):
Right, and he's got to go play the wide receiver
and then turn turn around and basically be like high
school where you just stand on the field the whole
time and just wait for the game to be over.
Speaker 2 (01:28:26):
Dude, if he plays corner, they're gonna run deep, deep
balls at him all day. They're going to run the
wide receivers just take off on him all day just
to try and get his like him tired. Yeah, Like,
why wouldn't you just attack him that way?
Speaker 14 (01:28:40):
But dude, watching him, So we went to Colorado, Nebrasko,
and you could just see like his aura, his attitude,
like pre everything. He's got the juice and he plays. Yeah,
he loves football.
Speaker 2 (01:28:50):
I saw him play basketball and I was like, oh, yeah,
do you think you could throw a pitch right now? Yes, later,
once he hits like thirty five.
Speaker 14 (01:29:01):
Maybe a surgery over thirty thirty five. But I think
a guy like him, like if he makes I don't
think he has to make a Pro Bowl to not
be a bust. I don't think he has to. He's
if he's solid on both sides of the ball and
plays all the snaps, Like I feel like that's something
we've never seen before.
Speaker 2 (01:29:17):
Jacksonville.
Speaker 1 (01:29:20):
You'd think you guys were on a heater open up
the year.
Speaker 2 (01:29:22):
Last year I was watching his playoffs. Thousand we have
smoked him.
Speaker 1 (01:29:26):
Thousand Miami, Ohio Hughes smoked him.
Speaker 2 (01:29:29):
Big rivalry game. Houston got him.
Speaker 1 (01:29:33):
That's about it.
Speaker 2 (01:29:34):
Yeah, Houston was solid last year.
Speaker 1 (01:29:37):
U c F. We're gonna roll you guys. It's gonna
be fun though, that'll be fun.
Speaker 2 (01:29:45):
We got a veteran this year. We got a bunch
of seniors. Got some guys getting some looks their.
Speaker 1 (01:29:50):
Head coaches, Scott Sadderfield, brother of brother of I think
I believe.
Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
Brother of not good? What his brother isn't good?
Speaker 1 (01:30:02):
Yes, brother Nebraska, he's solid. He's a solid position goes
position tight ends.
Speaker 12 (01:30:12):
Are you six and a half on fandom right now?
That's yeah, these are the game.
Speaker 14 (01:30:20):
You might want to take some points on that game.
Speaker 1 (01:30:21):
No, no, this has got to be monoe mono.
Speaker 2 (01:30:25):
No, you're going min I'm only going wins and losses here. Yeah, okay,
it's very make some points.
Speaker 14 (01:30:30):
Very bold of you, very both, veryable money fan.
Speaker 2 (01:30:34):
Yeah, they're pro. You guys are pros on this ship.
I mean it is it's what you guys do.
Speaker 1 (01:30:39):
Yeah, that's what we do. It is what we do.
Speaker 2 (01:30:42):
You're taking since money line, No.
Speaker 14 (01:30:45):
I've alread. I'm taking Nebraska no matter what with the
points point that the ten and a half.
Speaker 2 (01:30:50):
I can't do anything like this, nothing to do with this.
Speaker 14 (01:30:53):
This is my boy. I gotta ride with him no
matter what, because I know in three weeks time from
that moment, I'll want him to die. I'll want Nebraska
to burn down. Nebraska Michigan Nebraska takes place.
Speaker 1 (01:31:03):
That's the September twentieth. So I'm hoping today some work of.
Speaker 14 (01:31:07):
Love for Will. So when I have to break his
heart on his birthday weekend, we feel a whole lot better.
I'll be like, hey, remember when I supported you Ke Brothers,
And it won't matter to him whether that look at that.
Speaker 1 (01:31:19):
That's what Arrowhead's gonna be like.
Speaker 12 (01:31:24):
Red yeah city.
Speaker 1 (01:31:26):
They're surrounded by Nebraska fans. That's gonna be a home game.
It's gonna be a home game for us.
Speaker 14 (01:31:30):
When's last time we saw Travis a year ago?
Speaker 5 (01:31:34):
Oh?
Speaker 11 (01:31:34):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (01:31:34):
No? Super Bowl?
Speaker 12 (01:31:35):
Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (01:31:36):
We got in a couple of questions at the presser.
Speaker 2 (01:31:38):
Yeah, yeah, that's right.
Speaker 6 (01:31:39):
Would I forget what you hit me with?
Speaker 14 (01:31:41):
Ye?
Speaker 1 (01:31:42):
We'll hit you with the with you on you getting
hawked down by a linebacker, I think, yeah, you're yak
like talking about your yack, how good you are with yak,
but watching yourself get chased down. Now, you're getting a
little long in the tooth. You did break the record
for touchdowns, I believe for the franchise. Maybe all in
just a kind of whift on the dunk.
Speaker 2 (01:32:05):
I'm a little lighter this year though. Man, I'm gonna
get up there. I'm sure is the is the leader
for the Chiefs all time touchdowns. I got a chance
to maybe catch him.
Speaker 1 (01:32:15):
But how far are you away? Are you away?
Speaker 2 (01:32:17):
I don't know. That's the last time I looked. I
think it was like five to ten. Somewhere in there.
There's single digits.
Speaker 1 (01:32:26):
Yeah, what's looking like? You know when you're left from.
Speaker 2 (01:32:30):
The deal, I'll tell you what. Man xavier' worthy taking
his game up a notch obviously, get Rashid Rice back.
I think he'll be speeding just the running game, get
our get our offensive line together. The Josh Simmons, get
out of O State. I know you're not a big
O State guy, but man, this dude is a fucking
mammoth of a humane. He's a stud man. We will
(01:32:51):
see he's stud He was doing we were we were
doing a little group install in a mini camp. Just
had a little outside zone block on him. Guy put
his fucking hands. It's ship like that, yeah, in scout
team and it's just sucking around. I'm just like, all
right now, all right, right, yeah, what this thing is
talking about?
Speaker 1 (01:33:10):
What is that game?
Speaker 14 (01:33:14):
I lost a lot of money on you guys.
Speaker 1 (01:33:16):
No, yeah, I didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:33:18):
Money, Yeah, but you've lost a lot of money.
Speaker 1 (01:33:21):
Yeah, the.
Speaker 12 (01:33:24):
Cheeks.
Speaker 14 (01:33:26):
What is when you're going through that game and it's
just going the way I think you like? The yardage
in the first half was tough, didn't get a whole
lot better. Not trying to be disrespectful, but at what
point were you like, hey, we're not going to be
able to pull this.
Speaker 1 (01:33:39):
One out, you know.
Speaker 2 (01:33:43):
I don't know if that ever like came in my mind.
It was just always just keep fucking fighting and see
what happens. But at the same time, it got it
got ugly quick and it went Yeah that sh went
too fun. When they when they yanked their their dvs
out or they're like big guys on defense. I was
just like, fuck, man, I know what that sign is.
(01:34:04):
And I mean at that point, it's like you're you're
still trying to like you're in the mode of like fight, fight,
just give give your guys and your coaches everything you've got,
and it was just it just wasn't going our way.
Speaker 1 (01:34:15):
Man. Obviously, you guys were a hell of a team,
but the Eagles were just stacked.
Speaker 2 (01:34:22):
I mean, I'll give credit man, those from the D
line to the linebackers to you know, defensive backs, everywhere
on that football field. They had guys flying around and
then they they I don't know if they had a
tick on on what was going on or if they
just kind of had the rules set in place, but
it felt like in the run game of pass game,
(01:34:42):
and they just had stuff figured out. And even even
the stuff that they you know, even when we got
the right call, it was like we were just a
step off or timing off or you know, Pat was
under duress and we just had to try and figure
things out on the run and it was just it
was an uphill battle fucking day.
Speaker 1 (01:34:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:35:00):
Seem like your game against Tampa and gave against the
Eagles were really similar. Like the D line eight it
was that a big vocal point going into that week
or those two weeks. Yeah, you guys, listen, here's the deal.
They've got men on the other side of the ball
we have to protect.
Speaker 2 (01:35:15):
I feel like at that point because we had we
had kind of went up and down with the whole
tackle situation and the offensive line situation throughout the year,
and it felt like at that point, when Toney moved
from guard to tackle, that we had something figured out
to where we could at least manage it with like
chips and like make sure that we didn't put our
guys in bad situations. But I mean, interior outside rush,
(01:35:38):
they they got after us. And I mean, if you
control the line of scrimmage and the Super Bowl, it's
gonna get ugly for you.
Speaker 14 (01:35:44):
Yeah, and both sides of the ball, like their trenches
go hard. I think the Eagles probably have the best
offensive line in the.
Speaker 2 (01:35:50):
Entire fucking mammoths.
Speaker 14 (01:35:51):
Mammoths and they I mean, I thought there's gonna be
a step down with your brother being missing this year,
but they just kept the train rolling.
Speaker 6 (01:35:59):
No, they got bigger, they got bigger, but yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:36:03):
They were they were great, and it sucks. I hate
like sitting there and being like they played a great
football game because I'm sitting.
Speaker 2 (01:36:07):
With you when you played the pot Oh no, yeah, no,
I've already sucks. I've already kind of went down the
rabbit hole. I'm just motivated for this year.
Speaker 1 (01:36:13):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:36:13):
Yeah we got we got them. I think week two
somewhere early and yeah We'll get this thing. Fucking rock
and rolling boys.
Speaker 14 (01:36:20):
You definitely feel like there's more of like a you
just feel more a little more intense about you sitting
on this bus comp comparing it to last year. Last year,
I mean, vibes were high. You're obviously gonna have a
help has had to help a career, but like going
through that loss of what changes if you made in
the off season.
Speaker 2 (01:36:36):
I think the biggest thing is you just you kind
of refocus on on where your where your attention is
in the off season. I think last year, really the
past like three years, I've had a lot of attention
in getting taking a step away from football to figure out,
you know, what I'm doing afterwards and make sure I
set that up and I'm setting myself up for the future.
(01:36:58):
I've kind of always had the mentality in the offseason,
but I took on bigger projects. This year, I kind
of put all that to the side, and I'm like, man,
I'm going into my last year of my contract, thirteenth year.
I'm going to make this dream that I've always had
the best it's ever it's ever been. And I think
I failed last year in a lot of different ways
from my guys on the on the field in terms
(01:37:20):
of being a leader and just being you know, prepared
and ready to rock. And I'm motivated to fucking be
accountable for the guys.
Speaker 1 (01:37:29):
Man, pouring pouring all that into this season, like setting
all the other stuff aside, just focusing on football. Is
there a little bit of mortality coming with this being
your last year in Kansas City? Do you feel like
this could be the last year for Travis Kelson?
Speaker 2 (01:37:42):
I mean, it's the last one on the contract. I'm
I'm I'm focused on this one. Man. I don't know
what what next year is going to feel like. I
don't know what I'm gonna feel like in March and
in April next year when I when I make that
decision or I try and figure out what's next for me.
But I know that that I got one on the
contract and I got you know, a hell of a
fucking team and got a lot of fucking talent, and
(01:38:04):
I'm I'm pumped for it.
Speaker 14 (01:38:06):
You talked about I mean, there was a bunch of
rumors strolling around about this could be the last year
this past year. Yeah, how close were you to hang
it up? Would the Super Bowl have changed.
Speaker 11 (01:38:16):
That for you?
Speaker 2 (01:38:17):
It might have made me think about it a little
bit more. I think I had just had a sour
taste in my mouth immediately, and like, man, I can't,
I can't, This can't be the last game, you know.
I just I still feel like I can do it.
And I kind of wanted to give myself that that
full focus when I when I kind of looked at
the year and review and how I got ready for
(01:38:38):
the year and things like that. And it's not to
say that I was doing it wrong. It's just when
you get older, you start to figure the figure things
out differently, Like your body doesn't react to how you
used to do things, you know what I mean. You
have to focus a little bit more on the preparation
and being there and being ready, and then throughout the
week you got to have more of a plan to
get back to one hundred percent, and I think, uh,
(01:39:00):
thinking about all those things, it was like, I don't
want to leave anything out there. I want to give
it my all and make sure that I do this,
you know, for the for the for the childhood dream
in me, you know, I mean, the kid in me
is like, Man, I want to make this shit the
best thing ever.
Speaker 1 (01:39:16):
Man, you're obviously super close with the Chiefs organization. Is
there like an open line of communication about what the
future could look like for you?
Speaker 2 (01:39:23):
If they ever asked me, I'll always tell them, you
know how I feel. I'm coach Reid is like a
like a second father to me, you know what I mean.
I've been with him for thirteen years and he's helped
me both on the field and off the field, become
a better person, be a better man, and more accountable.
And on top of that, you know, Pat's my fucking
family now, you know. So through that just family atmosphere
(01:39:45):
and the Chiefs. I don't see myself playing anywhere else,
but I do.
Speaker 1 (01:39:50):
I do.
Speaker 2 (01:39:51):
I trust them with everything, and you know, I understand
that they got to make sure that they understand that
they set themselves up for the future as well. Knowing
guys got to get paid and and you know, uh,
positions got to get filled.
Speaker 1 (01:40:03):
So yeah, that is what I was going to ask, like,
could you could you imagine yourself in a different.
Speaker 2 (01:40:07):
Uniform at this point?
Speaker 11 (01:40:09):
Naw.
Speaker 2 (01:40:10):
Maybe if you would ask me that, maybe like a
contract or two ago, I would have been like, you know,
I keep it open, but.
Speaker 12 (01:40:16):
A contract or to goes statement.
Speaker 2 (01:40:19):
Yeah, I mean what I'm saying. Yeah. And on top
of that, it's like Kansas City is because the only
place I got a home. It's like that is my home.
So I'm like, I'm going in and out of Kansas
City for the rest of my life. I'll probably always
have my crip there. And I've just had that sense
of community. I know, everybody from the mayor to the
(01:40:40):
fucking people that work at the local restaurants to you
know what I mean, everybody in the city. So it
is home for me now. But I think, uh, I
think I would have a tough time putting on another jersey, right,
I don't know.
Speaker 14 (01:40:53):
Yeah, But also, like I mean, money, it's probably not
an issue for you. I think there was a rumor, hey,
we we still got to leverage up going around leverage. Yeah,
but I think I mean I think there's a rumor
about twenty five million. I think it was oh for
a commercial.
Speaker 2 (01:41:14):
Yeah, I don't believe everything you read. Boys.
Speaker 1 (01:41:19):
Did you see that umber? I think so. I guess
the question is would you do a commercial for any
brand if they offered you twenty five million dollars?
Speaker 2 (01:41:30):
What are we talking about?
Speaker 11 (01:41:34):
You?
Speaker 1 (01:41:35):
Uh, you made your acting debut last year. Obviously you're
putting everything else on the side. But how how was
that experience? I know shirm he said he watched it
and you did an incredible job.
Speaker 2 (01:41:44):
Nice. I haven't heard that review.
Speaker 1 (01:41:45):
But do you after going through that experience of after
going through that experience of acting and everything else, like,
do you see it as something that you would want
to pursue when you're done.
Speaker 14 (01:41:52):
Because I think it's like you just shot He just
shot it last time he was on the show, because
you were talking about.
Speaker 2 (01:41:57):
Still I was still actually finishing it up.
Speaker 1 (01:41:58):
I think Gilmore, But that's like a fun cameo, Alms.
Speaker 2 (01:42:02):
That's where I see, Yeah, that's where I see myself
kind of focusing. It's like those fun cameos where I'll
get a role that's not necessarily you know, my name
in a in a movie or something like that, and
I'll just kind of place like in Happy Gilmore, I'm
a I'm a waiter, you know what I mean. Like,
that's a fun ass fucking role in a movie with
guy Adam Sandler that I've loved my attire, Like those
(01:42:24):
are like I'm fucking I'm I'm I kill to do
movies like that for the rest of my life. And
even if it's just like a small part like I'm in,
Like I'd sign up for that any day. I don't
know if i'd sign up for a big TV show,
like not a very familiar character is in a lot
of scenes and stuff like that. That's just a lot
(01:42:46):
of work.
Speaker 8 (01:42:46):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:42:46):
It's a it's a career field that I haven't gotten
comfortable in yet, especially enough to do like serious stuff. Yeah,
I think I can do like the joking stuff that
you know we all grew up watching.
Speaker 14 (01:42:56):
Much more in your wheelhouse.
Speaker 6 (01:42:57):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:42:57):
And then if you see Adam Sandler and you snow
all the movie, yeah, the opportunity to and.
Speaker 2 (01:43:01):
Then he tells you you're doing great, and it's just so.
Speaker 1 (01:43:03):
Yeah, what was that?
Speaker 2 (01:43:05):
It was insane?
Speaker 6 (01:43:06):
I bet.
Speaker 1 (01:43:08):
Is that saying like one of those cats where people
say never meet your heroes. Is this somebody?
Speaker 2 (01:43:12):
Oh no, no, no, you met him and he was
the fucking best meet He was even for even further
than what you could have ever expected he was, and
he was so helpful in terms of like kind of
making me feel comfortable in the in like the scene
and everything, knowing it's it's like one of the bigger
scenes in the beginning of the movie. At least I
made it feel like, like, dude, this is a serious.
Speaker 1 (01:43:40):
It's one of the biggest scenes in the movie. It's
up front you guys, Yeah, that is that's crazy.
Speaker 14 (01:43:45):
How did do you say to call your agents? Just
call you like, hey, Adam Sandler movie.
Speaker 1 (01:43:50):
Yeah, I forget.
Speaker 2 (01:43:51):
I forget what the connection was. Once I kind of
like threw it out there that I would I would
like kill to be in a Sandlor movie or anything
like that, And like I had a happy Gilmore had
on on New Heights one time and they were like,
oh man, there's rumors that have you Goidmore too might
be coming out? Are you going to be in it?
And I'm just like, I fucking I quit everything right
now to be in a fucking Adam Sandler Yeah, or
(01:44:12):
being happy Good Moore two. But I was talking to
Saying Man, and he was just he was like, it
took so long to get to hay goodmore twos because
he wanted to do it right. He didn't want to
just he said he loved doing the movie so much,
and he thought the first one was just such a
perfect movie that it had to he didn't want to
disappoint anybody. And this one, I mean, just looking at
(01:44:34):
the trailers. I haven't even seen all of it, but
just watching the trailers and ship, this ship is going
to be epic.
Speaker 14 (01:44:40):
I can't wait to see it.
Speaker 1 (01:44:41):
Dude.
Speaker 12 (01:44:41):
He's literally a part of all of our childhood.
Speaker 1 (01:44:43):
Yeah, Ard, you refer to him as Saying is that
like his? Is that his nickname?
Speaker 5 (01:44:48):
Man?
Speaker 2 (01:44:49):
Him? Always called him the same this same man when.
Speaker 14 (01:44:52):
You meet him, mister Sandlor just please Sandman.
Speaker 2 (01:44:56):
I think I did call him mister Sandler at one point.
Speaker 14 (01:44:58):
You have to no off with that for sure.
Speaker 2 (01:45:00):
Yeah, I think the Sandman's where I ended up? Is
that what you feel like?
Speaker 12 (01:45:04):
That's the goal?
Speaker 11 (01:45:05):
Right?
Speaker 2 (01:45:05):
Yeah?
Speaker 14 (01:45:06):
You like, how do I get a nickname in here?
Speaker 1 (01:45:08):
Is that? What is in your in your phone? Sandman?
Speaker 2 (01:45:12):
I think it is? Yeah, Yeah, it has to be.
Speaker 14 (01:45:15):
That's my Bady's just calling.
Speaker 1 (01:45:16):
It's a white whale there for the bus.
Speaker 14 (01:45:18):
Oh yeah, absolutely well, if we have any connects, yeah,
it would be sick if so, if we knew if
we had a homie that was somebody that was tight
with them, they called him and be like, Yo, could
you just get him on the show.
Speaker 1 (01:45:28):
Yeah. I got a couple of the homies with me.
They are they are sports guys.
Speaker 2 (01:45:31):
You don't, I don't text.
Speaker 6 (01:45:35):
I would never out to this man.
Speaker 14 (01:45:39):
If you don't mind, hold on, It'd be sick.
Speaker 2 (01:45:41):
He's so busy.
Speaker 12 (01:45:44):
It'd be since.
Speaker 14 (01:45:45):
Would be cooler is if one of our boys we
had like a bet with them, and we added to
the bet if you win the bet that they have
to FaceTime Sandman something, Yeah, and then have them come
on or try to at least get him on the bus.
Speaker 1 (01:45:57):
I love that. Do you like that? I love that?
All that thought, we'll bring it to the negotiation table.
Speaker 12 (01:46:02):
Gotcha.
Speaker 2 (01:46:05):
You guys are fucking good.
Speaker 1 (01:46:07):
You guys have been having some fucking awesome guests, though
insane between Jason Sedakis, Ben Stiller, Lebron Crazy. Who's been
your favorite one out of like the recent I know
that's tough.
Speaker 2 (01:46:21):
I'm kind of I mean, I'm a Cleveland kid, watched
Lebron playing fucking high school. Getting him on the show
was like that Cleveland like connection, Northeast Ohio connection, I
should say. And it's just like I've known all of
the people that are like in his camp for a
long long time, so I felt like I knew who
he was, and when he jumped on, it was just
(01:46:42):
like we were all just like homies for forever that
I'd been a CAZ fan since I was like fucking too.
Speaker 1 (01:46:49):
So wild comment about the rings, Huh, winning ring should
define your NBA career?
Speaker 2 (01:46:56):
Yeah, I think I think it might be taken out
of context. So Lebron has won a lot of rings,
so I think he's just trying to look out for four.
He's trying to look out for the guys that he
might have played with that you know, didn't win one,
trying to show him some respect, take the high road,
being a good dude, big good teammate. But it's all
(01:47:18):
about rings for me.
Speaker 14 (01:47:19):
What's a vibe like when you're sitting with the New
Heights team, Like, how long in advance did you think
Lebron James might be coming on our show.
Speaker 2 (01:47:26):
I mean we threw it out there, like our first season,
so it took like three seasons to finally get him
to pull up.
Speaker 14 (01:47:33):
It seems like he's just now started to do media
because he's a McAfee.
Speaker 2 (01:47:36):
Right, Yeah, he's got his magafee.
Speaker 14 (01:47:38):
Now he's done you. I think he's gonna come on
busting that's TVD. That's TVD.
Speaker 1 (01:47:42):
Right. If only we knew somebody then in a connection,
you do be.
Speaker 12 (01:47:46):
Sick because if you had a bet with somebody, Yeah,
that'd be sick.
Speaker 1 (01:47:51):
They could just be our guest booking team from here on.
Speaker 14 (01:47:53):
It for real New Heights. We'll just hey, sloppy seconds, awesome,
this way, awesome, this way, figure out what worked what didn't.
Speaker 1 (01:48:00):
Who's who's a white whale that you would love to
get on that hasn't been on yet. Obviously you've had
a lot of big names, But who's somebody that you're
like selfishly like? Man, it would be sick to get
this personal.
Speaker 2 (01:48:09):
Man. I want to get Dion Sanders on so bad.
I want to talk to him about like the football
and baseball like world that he was in in like
the late eighties, early nineties, and just I don't know,
just just chop it up because he was always one
of my favorite guys. I played like every sport imaginable
growing up, and I always wanted to be one of
(01:48:30):
those guys that played both. Played to two sport, professional athlete,
no fucking chance, no shot, no shot.
Speaker 14 (01:48:38):
I mean he was the elite.
Speaker 1 (01:48:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:48:42):
The story about him playing in both had like helicopters.
Speaker 1 (01:48:49):
The same nar and then flew into.
Speaker 2 (01:48:52):
A baseball playoff game or something like that. It was
crazy nuts. Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:48:55):
I think he had a touchdown one and a home
ru on the other, hitting another that was.
Speaker 1 (01:49:00):
I think I personally think he's like the most athletic
player of all time. I think so. Yeah. Over Bo Jackson,
that's all that's usually the argument. Yeah, I think Bo
Jackson was a freak freak.
Speaker 14 (01:49:14):
But yeah, yeah, series super Bowl is Deon Sanders.
Speaker 1 (01:49:22):
What's up? I saw. I was a little biased with
Dean because he was a cowboy. I love the cowboys
growing up. You're your little giants guy, huh yes, Spike,
Oh yeah, tried to be like like Spike chin up
on my dad's arm before every.
Speaker 12 (01:49:39):
Your white will.
Speaker 14 (01:49:40):
I feel your white will is a little underwhelming, Like
you should be an easy gift for you.
Speaker 2 (01:49:45):
It probably is like more attainable than I think it is.
But I don't know, man, who else would be what
would be through the roof?
Speaker 1 (01:49:57):
You know who Jason would want?
Speaker 2 (01:50:00):
No idea Jason would want, like fucking Neil de Grassi,
Tyson or something. You get the old lineman.
Speaker 14 (01:50:07):
My YouTube Allan, whatever, my shorts are always he's always
He's always explained.
Speaker 2 (01:50:12):
Some to me.
Speaker 14 (01:50:13):
I'm like, that shit's fucking wild. He's in the clip
of him talking about the Titanic. He talks about the
when the ship sinks in the Titanic, how it's just
one set of stars and then just basically copied and
flipped it and it wasn't correct for that time of year.
That like, how he like gets all that figured out.
Speaker 12 (01:50:30):
It's wild.
Speaker 14 (01:50:31):
And so he was a part of another movie that
helped him get the correct sky for that timeframe. That everything.
That's like, how do you figure that shit out? That's nuts?
Speaker 6 (01:50:40):
And also did they contract you in to do this
or are you just doing it for the fun of
doing a quick favor? But I just need to make
sure this is right.
Speaker 1 (01:50:47):
Right, do me a favorite with it? That's good. That's good.
Speaker 14 (01:50:51):
Yeah, he'd be a he'd be a cool guest, just smarter.
Speaker 1 (01:50:54):
Than everybody else.
Speaker 2 (01:50:55):
Dude, Yeah, he gets it.
Speaker 1 (01:50:56):
Yeah with U.
Speaker 14 (01:50:58):
You were talking about earlier about from a leadership standpoint,
maybe not being as accountable as you want to your teammates.
At what point in the season or after the season
did you realize did you realize that you probably weren't
being the best leader.
Speaker 1 (01:51:11):
You could be.
Speaker 2 (01:51:12):
I mean, just reflecting, I don't think I was the
best leader during the Super Bowl itself in terms of
making plays, being able to you know, find a way
no matter what their what defense they're playing. I've always
put the accountability on myself to you know, get open
no matter what. And don't get me wrong, there were
they were doing things that that minimize everything that I
(01:51:33):
could like kind of manipulate. But at the same time,
I still feel like I had a drop early. I
had two or three routes where I didn't get separation
when I needed to, and certain certain moments where I
could have sped it up knowing that Pat was under
dress for at a lot of parts a lot of
points in the game. So I don't know, man, just
(01:51:55):
just being that and then just keeping the the energy
and the belief alive. I don't know if I necessarily
did that as well as I could have. And I
think just leading up to it, making sure I got
everybody's you know, mentality ready going into the game, I
just put a lot of accountability on myself to be
able to, you know, be that for the guys.
Speaker 14 (01:52:13):
How difficult is it for you to not, like show
frustration when you have a drop early? They're doing different
things in coverages, so you can't manipulate them as much
like when you're progressing through the game. You've been in
it for so long. I think I've played in a
super Bowl. But when it's like it's for all the marbles,
how do you from a mental standpoint able to like
combat the okay, how to drop these things are not
(01:52:34):
going the right way? Like, how do you take away
the frustration?
Speaker 1 (01:52:37):
Yeah, I mean you're not projected.
Speaker 2 (01:52:39):
You got to have that, like I don't know, almost
like that. You either got to react in terms of
like high aggression, high energy, high frustration, or which can
make you uncharacteristic, can make you maybe I don't know,
do something stupid after a whistle something like that. That's
what I've done in the past.
Speaker 5 (01:52:59):
Or.
Speaker 2 (01:52:59):
You can try and be calm, cool, collected, show confidence,
show leadership, show like positive, like reinforcement, like around everybody,
around everyone on the team, And it's just every situation
is different. As I'm getting older, I can't necessarily do
a lot of the things that I've been able to
do when I was a younger player. So it's it's
(01:53:21):
creating even more frustration for me in certain times. But
at the same time, I could still be that voice
or reason for a lot of these young guys that
are in an unfamiliar territory.
Speaker 14 (01:53:32):
Is it a scary thought a little bit when you're
getting older and some of the things you look back
at the film, you're like, man, I used to be
able to do that.
Speaker 2 (01:53:38):
But I used to be able to fucking throw a
goddamn baseball. Yeah, yeah, I used to be able to
fucking helmet like ninety dude. I used to really and
I used to really have a fucking cannon over here.
Now I can't even fucking raise my fucking arm over
my head like that.
Speaker 14 (01:53:52):
It's that hard craning that thing up.
Speaker 2 (01:53:55):
I can throw it up, But deal with the.
Speaker 14 (01:53:57):
Mortality of being a football player sucks. And you see
all these young bucks get in there and they're like
going out partying or whatever, and you're like spending a
little more time in the ice tub.
Speaker 2 (01:54:06):
I don't see a lot of guys going out and
partying anymore. It's a good point.
Speaker 6 (01:54:12):
At your house.
Speaker 2 (01:54:14):
A lot of the younger guys, I think, I feel
like I would hear it through like the locker room
and stuff like that. A lot of guys are just
like video game and streams.
Speaker 1 (01:54:23):
Video games are fun. You playing.
Speaker 2 (01:54:25):
I'll get on the call of duty every now and then.
Suck it up. Yeah, I'm a.
Speaker 1 (01:54:28):
Pub G guy myself.
Speaker 2 (01:54:30):
PUBG.
Speaker 1 (01:54:31):
The pug is kind of like the military version of
Oh where it's like a battle Royale.
Speaker 2 (01:54:38):
Oh god, my jeans were too tight.
Speaker 1 (01:54:41):
Oh ship?
Speaker 2 (01:54:42):
I mean, dude, I mean he was.
Speaker 1 (01:54:46):
He was doing the same thing, thrown as hard as
he can.
Speaker 2 (01:54:49):
Dude, dude, please, I'm sorry. I know that was that
came in hot shoulders.
Speaker 14 (01:54:54):
Looks good right there though.
Speaker 2 (01:54:56):
Oh but I think it was the I think it
was the top of the mound coming down. I hadn't
worked that yet.
Speaker 14 (01:55:02):
Yeah, it's the high I get it. Yeah, the elevation
of the mountain when you're when you're over six foot.
Speaker 2 (01:55:09):
Yeah, it's harder.
Speaker 1 (01:55:10):
Yeah, well I would know I am over six foot.
It's it's kind of fun.
Speaker 14 (01:55:15):
The generation going on right now. He's actually getting shorter
as we sit here.
Speaker 1 (01:55:18):
I uh am I the best athlete on the bus around.
Speaker 14 (01:55:25):
Maybe some people are, you know mitches in the back way.
Speaker 1 (01:55:27):
You guys can talk about your injuries. I did have
twelve anchors put on my right shoulders. Twelve anchors had
that twice? You had that twice?
Speaker 12 (01:55:35):
Oh you guys still have shoulders?
Speaker 6 (01:55:39):
Wait, and I had a separation. That's only that. That's
only getting us.
Speaker 1 (01:55:45):
Always got the light of cane needle with the little
pad on top before a game. That's rookie to tell
you all, you're not going to feel the first to take.
You're just like this ships for those who don't.
Speaker 12 (01:55:57):
What's the ship?
Speaker 1 (01:55:57):
What twelve anchors? Oh? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (01:56:00):
Sure?
Speaker 12 (01:56:01):
Stitches?
Speaker 1 (01:56:02):
Yeah, like a little yeah, like a little stitch. You
think of your shoulder, your labor them is like a
clock and you have nice how many anchors you can
get in nice guys like us? We have all twelve anchors.
Speaker 2 (01:56:10):
This guy pays attention.
Speaker 1 (01:56:12):
Fuck fool restructure, because when you hear twelve, you're thinking
I'm kind of badass. Yeah, I was kind of playing
on some ship. I thought I was just going to
get cleaned up, maybe three or four anchors. I get
out there, like we had to fix the whole thing.
Speaker 14 (01:56:23):
The whole thing.
Speaker 1 (01:56:23):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (01:56:24):
I always hate the surgery talk with it, like, hey,
we'll see when we get in there. But it looks
like it's just X, Y and Z. Yeah every time
you come out.
Speaker 1 (01:56:30):
Well it turns out turn it was actually all.
Speaker 14 (01:56:32):
Of these things as well.
Speaker 2 (01:56:33):
What happened with my knee? Whatever your knee, yeah, my
rookie year. I had, uh, just like some discomfort. I
kept doing the fucking MRIs. I took like ten MRIs.
Everybody in the building was calling the MRI machine the Kelsey, like, oh,
you're going to get a Kelsey. All right, nice, that's tough.
Ever got a little bit of discomfort, It's something's up.
(01:56:55):
So I went to I went to the guys. I'm
just like just going there scope it. They're like, all right,
we'll see what happens.
Speaker 1 (01:56:59):
We go there.
Speaker 2 (01:57:00):
I had like microfactor surgery. You guys know what microfracture is.
It's uh, it's ended some careers. They drill holes in
your uh, like cartilage bones, to like get blood to
see through to create and rebuild cartilage. Couldn't run for
like six seven months, and then it was on like
(01:57:22):
a pitch count for half the season.
Speaker 1 (01:57:24):
Oh and this this is your rookie year. Yeah, going
into your second.
Speaker 2 (01:57:27):
Going into my say, I didn't play. I played one
snap my rookie year, and it was a blocked field goal.
I was on the field goal team and I only
went in because somebody got hurt and I just happen
to be dressing that day. I went in. I went
in there supposed to be the left tight end on
fucking field goal, and I'm like, my knee. I tapped
(01:57:50):
the right tight end because we were on the right hash,
so the rush was definitely coming from the field. So
I'm like, hey, you're trying to take that left side
for me my knee. Just being a good team, It's like, yeah, dude,
I got you. I went over to the right side.
Heard that. I'm just like, fuck. He turned around, balls
on the ground. I'm like, fuck, get it, hobbling around,
(01:58:11):
I see guys jumping on him, kind of like fun,
my knee. You never was like we wasted a So yeah,
the next two weeks. Two weeks out of that, I
got it. I got scoped and got through in a
brace for six months.
Speaker 14 (01:58:25):
So you go through your rookie year, play one snap,
second year, you're on a pitch count. Are you thinking
at any point maybe I'm just not built this?
Speaker 2 (01:58:32):
Are you kidding me? The entire rehab, I'm just like, God,
damn it, I'm never going to see this happening.
Speaker 14 (01:58:36):
Calling your brother being like how the fuck?
Speaker 2 (01:58:38):
Yeah, he's just he's like, you got to run through
it exactly.
Speaker 1 (01:58:42):
It's going to be so disappointed.
Speaker 2 (01:58:44):
Yeah, just take that the fucking Ivy Profen they're giving
you and just get back out there.
Speaker 14 (01:58:48):
Yeah, I wish it was just Ivy Profen.
Speaker 1 (01:58:50):
Sure we get it, dude, you got the photo pulled up.
Speaker 6 (01:58:55):
Jesus said that was your X ray.
Speaker 1 (01:58:58):
Right, He's like keep zooming in like as you guys
are talking, Jesus seems.
Speaker 14 (01:59:02):
Like always playing a bit while we're also doing a show.
Speaker 1 (01:59:05):
Is that you?
Speaker 14 (01:59:11):
Congrats?
Speaker 12 (01:59:12):
It's a big time.
Speaker 1 (01:59:15):
Growing up? Was there? Who who is the favorite? Was
Jason the favorite? Growing up?
Speaker 2 (01:59:20):
Her student fucking did football. Hockey was like all league
and in like three different sports. Never missed a game
like music genius was it? It was on like the orchestra,
the jazz, the fucking fucking did every Yeah, dude, he
used to get like thirty tackles a game and that
halftime fucking being the marching band he was. But he
(01:59:42):
was like the most feared guy in in the school.
Speaker 14 (01:59:45):
No ship played that trumpet like you did?
Speaker 1 (01:59:47):
You did?
Speaker 2 (01:59:50):
You had the trumpet?
Speaker 11 (01:59:52):
It was.
Speaker 1 (01:59:55):
Did you ever? Did you ever? Re ziment towards him?
There was never like, oh, he's the favorite, you know,
he's kind of thing to the best, you know what
I mean. And then he kind of comes back around
he's winning super Bowls and was like, yeah, I'm pretty
fucking good too, guys.
Speaker 2 (02:00:09):
I followed him. I followed him the Cincinnati Okay.
Speaker 1 (02:00:12):
So you guys are like that.
Speaker 14 (02:00:13):
You guys never had a little tiff what.
Speaker 2 (02:00:15):
My brother used to be.
Speaker 12 (02:00:18):
Have you seen how is he gotten used to the
retired life. Has he had a good transition. He's thriving
and he is crushing life, no doubt.
Speaker 14 (02:00:27):
But I'm wanting an inside ball, like if he's had like, hey,
stay as long as you can't Adam Sandler, right, Billy
Mass the kids, as long as you can type of
talk with you or he's like, hey, by the way,
on the other side of this, it's incredible.
Speaker 9 (02:00:40):
No, he.
Speaker 2 (02:00:43):
We haven't really talked about it like that now. I
don't know. I think he's he's thriving in the decision
that he made. Obviously there was probably something that we
haven't talked about. It's probably something there that the Eagles
went back to the Super Bowl and they want it. Yeah,
there's there's got to be any Any player that made
that decision would have that. I feel like, But at
(02:01:04):
the same time, he's around his four girls, enjoying life
and being around the fan and doing a bunch of
crazy shit during the football season, and I don't know,
he's just enjoying it. I don't see it. I don't
see him like regretting any decisions, even because once.
Speaker 14 (02:01:21):
You walk away, man, it's tough. You see a lot
of guys that leave and you're like that have an
identity crisis for the longest time because you used to
be the man, and then a lot of guys just
go back to doing nothing.
Speaker 2 (02:01:32):
I mean, we've all seen a lot of college guys
that we played with go down that road. A lot
of guys that we played with in the league do that.
And that's why I kind of always wanted to make
sure I set myself up for something, you know, to
at least immediately get into and then always have that
connection back to the game. Some I don't know, some
guys just kind of step away and they never come
(02:01:55):
back around the buildings or they never you know, create
those those relationships with people that you know will keep
will help keep them around the gamer around everything like that, when.
Speaker 14 (02:02:05):
You're trying, when you're trying to all those new things,
figuring Okay, what could I do next? What was the
biggest thing that got you to your comfort zone, whether
it be.
Speaker 12 (02:02:12):
Like SNL the acting, the serious acting, the serious acting, Yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:02:16):
What level of discomfort was that? Like were you like
halfway through and being like, I know this is not
for me.
Speaker 6 (02:02:21):
No, not necessarily that it wasn't for me.
Speaker 2 (02:02:23):
I mean I was. I was a part of a
really good cast. I think I got a lot of
help and a lot of pointers from them. So they
helped me make at least make me feel comfortable in
the moment. But at the same time, just like preparation wise,
like I'm so prepared for an NFL game, Like in
my career. I get entire week to figure out a scheme,
(02:02:43):
how I'm going to attack somebody, how I'm going to
like handle certain specific situations, and when you go into acting,
it's just I just didn't feel that as prepared and
I just feel like I got to find that, Like
I don't know that professionalism before the the like the
cameras are on and I just hadn't found that yet.
Speaker 14 (02:03:05):
You're just hanging out the trailer.
Speaker 2 (02:03:06):
I'm just like going over the lines just as long
as I know these how many times am I going
to read the same line and think that you know
what I mean? I got I gotta find Then you finally.
Speaker 14 (02:03:14):
Do one that's good and the directors like, hey, let's
get one just to be safe, and you're like, god damn,
but did he.
Speaker 1 (02:03:18):
Not like it?
Speaker 2 (02:03:18):
Just tell me where if you don't like it, just
give me a Just that was my entire every single
like director that I met on the on on the
what do you call on scenes and everything like that,
I was just telling of I was like, coach me up.
I'm here to be coached. If I sucked, tell me
I suck, and tell me how I can be better.
I'm going to take all criticism.
Speaker 1 (02:03:37):
I don't give a fucking your lines by yourself in
front of a mirror.
Speaker 2 (02:03:42):
Not necessarily in front of a mirror, which I'm gonna
add to the professionalism. Get to see facial features, see
how your body's reacting. I was big on like a
scene would happen, and if the directors were like watching
the scene over to see if they like it or not,
or see what we could do different, I would like
hurry up and go over there to watch him film
(02:04:03):
real quick. But I don't know. It's it's still like
I don't know, it's still early and like just not,
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (02:04:14):
I don't feel like I grasped the acting world yet.
Speaker 1 (02:04:18):
Yeah, seeing him videotaping himself, just by himself, and I'm
sure like the features and like, okay, I can kind
of move a little differently here.
Speaker 2 (02:04:25):
You definitely feel like doing some of this for sure,
Like you feel out of place.
Speaker 14 (02:04:29):
Yeah, I'm sure some of the actors are sitting there
being like we've worked our whole lives, gone to theater school,
done all this, and this guy scores a couple of
touchdowns just to show up and be a part of it.
I felt those eyes you felt you have the people
that are all about the art.
Speaker 1 (02:04:42):
Like this guy, he doesn't respect it. He he's going
to this is a game to him.
Speaker 14 (02:04:49):
This is life to us. They do slam poetry on
the weekends. That you Is that it right there? Oh?
Speaker 1 (02:04:54):
Yeah that's you.
Speaker 12 (02:04:56):
Did you grow that beer?
Speaker 2 (02:04:58):
That making Beard's real hair?
Speaker 11 (02:04:59):
No?
Speaker 1 (02:05:00):
Yeah, that is awesome.
Speaker 14 (02:05:02):
That is fucking badass. What about SNL how nerve wrecking?
Speaker 2 (02:05:07):
Was that the monolog standing up there, I felt a little,
like I said, the silly stuff, the funny stuff, the comedy,
I just feel so much more comfortable. There was still
like a sense of like, I need to be a
professional here. I don't want to, like I want to
take advantage of this, but like I don't want to.
I want to have fun doing it, but I don't
(02:05:28):
want to look like a loser doing this, Like I
want to make them respect like my approach and how
I'm like taking.
Speaker 6 (02:05:34):
It serious.
Speaker 2 (02:05:38):
And uh but it was just a fun roller coaster. Man.
You're there all week fucking up till two three in
the morning every day, just trying to like knock stuff out,
do some of the pre recorded stuff. And yeah, that
was insane. That was a crazy ride.
Speaker 14 (02:05:52):
It's one of the coolest things I've ever seen. The
SNL thing is one of the more badass situations.
Speaker 2 (02:05:57):
Have you you've been to SL?
Speaker 1 (02:05:58):
I have not been.
Speaker 12 (02:05:59):
I have hosted.
Speaker 14 (02:06:00):
I have not been any part of it at all
other than just watching nice. My dad had a Ford
expedition and he have the best of Chris Farley SNL.
Those only DVD, and I watched the hell out of there.
Speaker 2 (02:06:14):
You were you a big Beverly Hills ninja guy. I
was not.
Speaker 14 (02:06:17):
You were not Black Sheep guy, Tommy Boy guy. But
Beverly Hills.
Speaker 2 (02:06:23):
Classics, absolute classics.
Speaker 14 (02:06:25):
Those were Those are outstanding.
Speaker 1 (02:06:27):
What were the writer's rooms like?
Speaker 2 (02:06:31):
So that was the writers rooms were fun because you're
just getting pitched ideas the table reading for a guy
they can't really read that well. It was kind of
a fuck situation. And I felt like I was just
like trying to like get through the reading instead of
actually actually like acting it out and giving it a
(02:06:52):
voice and giving it a character and things like that.
Like I was just focused on just don't fucking skip
this line. Yeah, you know what I mean.
Speaker 1 (02:07:00):
Brother.
Speaker 14 (02:07:00):
So when it comes to read difficulties, I will be
on that side of the aisle with you, my.
Speaker 2 (02:07:04):
Entire life, more of a audible, more of an audio guy, right, that's.
Speaker 14 (02:07:08):
Why they make audio books now for guys like us.
You read it, I'm listening. I'm listening quite a bit.
Speaker 2 (02:07:13):
Actually, uh no, the table read was the hardest fucking part.
Speaker 1 (02:07:17):
Did we need you know what? He needs to get
a cameo in his tires?
Speaker 2 (02:07:21):
That would be legendary? Are you kidding me? I'd fucking
killed or be in that.
Speaker 1 (02:07:25):
Have you watched these second season I have not.
Speaker 2 (02:07:27):
Started it not. Shane's so fucking good. He absolutely killed
it the last Yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:07:33):
I saw like some rumors that like Shane put up
a shitload of money for the first season. Everyone was like,
don't do it, and he just betted himself and it
became like a massive hit. The way it is allegedly
this is like skimming through like YouTube shorts. Right, So
I'm not I don't have anything to verify this, but
the fact that he was at the ascension, he was
making what he was making, and he took a risk
(02:07:54):
like that if that is true as wild?
Speaker 1 (02:07:56):
Yeah, Now he's fucking Madden, just crazy, yeah, crazy vince Va.
He's going to be in the new Mad movie. The
new John Madden movie.
Speaker 2 (02:08:04):
Oh, I would tell you, can we say that?
Speaker 14 (02:08:06):
Yeah, that's okay, cool, cool, just making sure.
Speaker 2 (02:08:10):
The video game. That's why I was like.
Speaker 14 (02:08:12):
I was like, I could definitely see Shane know the
college football game a center for a Notre Dame with
Christian Bale, Nicholas Cage, like a big time, big time movie.
Speaker 2 (02:08:23):
Oh yeah, Nicholas Cage addressed as John Madden right now? Yes,
fucking hilarious. Wow, he's brocking some of those pants you
used to your game day pants. Dude, he used to
have some of those pleaded right down the middle high
Wasters fastball he did. He had Vince Vaughan on there
on the Tire season two.
Speaker 6 (02:08:41):
So that's my legend.
Speaker 14 (02:08:42):
If I gotta have anybody sitting in that seat, love
having you, You're incredible, but I would.
Speaker 1 (02:08:46):
Switch you out for Vince.
Speaker 2 (02:08:48):
I would get up and ask him.
Speaker 14 (02:08:50):
How to let him take my seat? ID you guys
actually do the show just so I feel like I
was a little biting re enact a couple of wedding
crasher lives for us. Yeah, and I'm sure he hates it,
but I would definitely be that guy. Cool.
Speaker 5 (02:09:00):
Huh.
Speaker 14 (02:09:01):
I might even worring about my right phenomenal fingerfoods. How
do you think I keep it up? So like, yeah, yeah, dude,
he is that's my goat.
Speaker 12 (02:09:09):
That is my goat. By far look at him.
Speaker 2 (02:09:13):
Swingers Vegas Baby, great movie.
Speaker 14 (02:09:17):
Just pure Vince Vaughan too, pure Vince von. What's we
are going?
Speaker 1 (02:09:22):
I don't know what what else is new? I don't know, dude,
it was there. Your probably answer is probably gonna be bullshit.
Speaker 2 (02:09:34):
But I got a few of those in my pocket.
Speaker 1 (02:09:37):
There are moments out of here last year where it's
just like we're kind of getting lucky here at the
end of the game. I mean, I mean, you guys
had so many games where you're winning so many different ways.
Speaker 2 (02:09:48):
You know, that was that was the craziest one, the
Denver block field goal crazy in Arrowhead. But then you
think about it, you watch it on film. You what
they've been doing on film on that side of the line,
It's like, it's it's kind of not.
Speaker 14 (02:10:05):
Sitting in a field goal meeting. No, no way, you're
sitting in a field goal made so's I'm listening to
the next day, You'll be like, see, guys, is what
we talked about all week And like, oh, I guess
I did talk about that.
Speaker 6 (02:10:15):
What is when we finished the game right when the
game should.
Speaker 12 (02:10:20):
I guess this is why we do do it.
Speaker 1 (02:10:21):
That's crazy.
Speaker 14 (02:10:22):
My knee, my knee.
Speaker 6 (02:10:26):
A guy that voluntarily went to the other side. I
know this rush is coming this way.
Speaker 12 (02:10:31):
But you get that.
Speaker 14 (02:10:32):
Take this one, Take this in the boundary, this one love. Yeah,
you guys did win in some crazy fashions.
Speaker 2 (02:10:38):
Yeah, it was pretty.
Speaker 12 (02:10:38):
It was still well still minutes the Super Bowl, I
could not believe it.
Speaker 1 (02:10:42):
It was crazy. What was the juice like leading up
to the Buffalo game? Because there's obviously so much storyline
buying my homes, Josh Allen, the games that you guys
have had in the past, Do.
Speaker 14 (02:10:53):
You feel guilty taking away from Josh Allen's career.
Speaker 2 (02:10:56):
No, No, it's a great competition. He's got his fucking
fair share of wins. It's just regular season. Yeah, I
mean that fourth quarter, I mean the fourth down in
the regular seasons are still like heroic moments. Yeah, I
don't know.
Speaker 6 (02:11:09):
I got a dude, a real man. They got the
first let it define your dog.
Speaker 1 (02:11:16):
You got the first down. That sneak nah, be real, na,
be real? What else we got let's talk ship to travel.
Speaker 12 (02:11:27):
I mean that was the first down I thought. Also
the way they do the ridiculous If you guys think
it was so dumb.
Speaker 14 (02:11:32):
I'm gonna go over two gaps and then go down
the middle.
Speaker 2 (02:11:35):
And they did it twice.
Speaker 1 (02:11:35):
Nobody pushing him.
Speaker 2 (02:11:37):
They did it twice.
Speaker 12 (02:11:38):
You gotta push that, yeah, gotta, you gotta get in there.
Speaker 2 (02:11:40):
You gotta take advantage of the rules.
Speaker 14 (02:11:42):
Man, let's talk about your guys.
Speaker 2 (02:11:43):
Four minute.
Speaker 14 (02:11:44):
Why don't we throw it so much?
Speaker 2 (02:11:46):
We like the ball in Pat Maum's hands, no doubt.
He's a great decision maker everything.
Speaker 14 (02:11:50):
Great decision maker. Scud soon to be a guest on
Busting with the Boys.
Speaker 2 (02:11:54):
Correct what I didn't know you were coming on? Pad?
Hell yeah, man, I'm just warming the seat up for you.
Speaker 14 (02:11:59):
But there's a couple of steps. You're one of them.
Speaker 1 (02:12:04):
If there's only.
Speaker 2 (02:12:05):
Somebody that we knew, oh ship for what I mean,
we've got a lot of as Cincinnati, Nebraska is the
best going to be in the.
Speaker 1 (02:12:12):
Bus won't be there, however, we want microphones, cameras with cameras.
Speaker 2 (02:12:16):
There you go, there's your chance.
Speaker 12 (02:12:18):
We saw the Super Bowl.
Speaker 14 (02:12:21):
We won U at the Super Bowl media days. I
asked pato Hey, he says, bus with the Boys is
no longer with Barstool Sports. Would you come on? He's, oh,
definitely helps your chances. That went viral and Dave chewed
my ass about that, So I need to find a
different way to word it. I find a different way
to word that conversation because I would love to have
pat On love Barstool.
Speaker 1 (02:12:43):
But what is this? He said? Can we get Jason on?
We have a gift for him.
Speaker 14 (02:12:46):
Jason's coming on when Nebraska beats Cincinnati. That's already part
of the that's put put a bow on that shirt.
Speaker 1 (02:12:55):
But the bet is going to be in the off season, right,
should be? Should be like, it would be nicest to
get Jason on. It's like solo before they come on collected.
Speaker 14 (02:13:08):
Right, So we get Jason on and then the offeason
we get them both on, Yeah, along with Adam Sandler,
Patrick Mahomes.
Speaker 2 (02:13:16):
Lebron James. I'm just gonna make sure I shoot the
text out.
Speaker 15 (02:13:25):
Shoot.
Speaker 6 (02:13:25):
Just put us on a group chet there you go.
Speaker 12 (02:13:28):
Yeah, he's saying, man, oh, McConaughey, huge fans, have you
ha McConaughey on the on New huts.
Speaker 2 (02:13:39):
That would be awesome, one man, get talk some fucking ball.
Speaker 1 (02:13:43):
Yeah damn?
Speaker 12 (02:13:44):
What other?
Speaker 14 (02:13:45):
What other things have you not done yet that you'd
like to give a try for your post football career.
Speaker 2 (02:13:50):
I want to see what what calling a game feels like.
Oh yeah, I want to get in the boot.
Speaker 14 (02:13:56):
You saw that Tom Brady paycheck and you saw his
eye on the like, I could do that. I could
do that ship three twenty?
Speaker 1 (02:14:05):
Was that what it was?
Speaker 12 (02:14:06):
It was fucking that quarterback money.
Speaker 2 (02:14:08):
It was a fuck ton of money. No, I've always
I've always like, I feel like impersonated. You know guys
they call the games and stuff like that growing up,
and I don't know, I thought it would always be fun.
Speaker 14 (02:14:21):
You were jumping a random clip and you commentated for us.
Speaker 1 (02:14:25):
You don't do that.
Speaker 2 (02:14:25):
I don't like.
Speaker 12 (02:14:26):
No, you don't through some improfit.
Speaker 2 (02:14:29):
That's not do a table reading. That's what it felt like,
right there.
Speaker 14 (02:14:33):
No no, no, no, no, no sir, no no no.
Speaker 1 (02:14:35):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:14:36):
I love your heads apt, but the yeah, go and
complicate this one. I love your heads up. I feel
like the preparation involved for calling a game, like truly
sitting in the booth, color competent.
Speaker 2 (02:14:47):
Has got to be so player names. Player names is
where I get fucking ruined.
Speaker 14 (02:14:51):
The fact that they get those people and Bill dolland
what impressed me the most is like hockey, hockey or
basketball because that ball is just moving around. Puck's moving
around everywhere. Yeah, and they're able to just go, go,
go go.
Speaker 2 (02:15:02):
Michael Jordan's Oh, I know, is he in the and
he's he's not just doing like uh like what barklayin them.
Speaker 1 (02:15:11):
Doing pretty much like that his take on Yeah, I know,
you know he'll sling it. Yeah, I don't know. I
don't know, man, I don't know.
Speaker 14 (02:15:24):
If you're Michael Jordan, why do it like you've you're
a billionaire.
Speaker 6 (02:15:28):
He's probably bored.
Speaker 14 (02:15:28):
Golf every day. Brother, You've had a lot of time
to not be bored, like you're in your late fifties.
Speaker 6 (02:15:33):
Now, right, Yeah, at least it's like, Yeah, it's.
Speaker 14 (02:15:38):
A NASCAR team, he's prob, he's got the.
Speaker 6 (02:15:41):
He'll be an insane bump for the NBA.
Speaker 14 (02:15:44):
It'll be massive because.
Speaker 1 (02:15:45):
He's a pretty much dollar amount.
Speaker 2 (02:15:46):
He couldn't refuse NBC's number. I don't know is an NBC.
Speaker 1 (02:15:50):
I have no clue.
Speaker 2 (02:15:51):
NBC has got it.
Speaker 5 (02:15:52):
God, oh one of our newer Busting members, Clay Matthews.
I only overheard the story, but can we get that
when you when you first played against him.
Speaker 2 (02:16:01):
When he fucking made me feel like I was gonna
get my ass fucking killed. Yeah, I mean it was
it was that two thousand is that first year playing,
so it was It wasn't thirteen, it was fourteen, but
it was like my first couple of games playing and
I had like maybe ten catches up to this point
in my career. And I'm going into Lambeau and I'm thinking,
(02:16:23):
this is Lamba, this is my moment. This is where
I'm gonna fucking I'm getting people are gonna know me
after this.
Speaker 6 (02:16:29):
Yeah, And I'm all hyped up and fired up to
play because I think it was fourteen.
Speaker 2 (02:16:35):
I might have been fifteen either way. I Uh, I
see claim Matthew. I'm just like, she this fucking claim Matthews.
His arms are way bigger in person than they are
on TV, and they are fucking enormous on TV. And
uh and it's like the backside of a fucking outside
zone and I'm chasing him down. I kind of give
him a hit and I'm like.
Speaker 6 (02:16:54):
Yeah, motherfucker and he stops squares up to me. He says,
don't fucking ever fucking talk to me.
Speaker 2 (02:16:59):
I'll fucking kill you, or something something along the lines
blah blah blah blah, I'll fucking kill you. And I
was just like, i couldn't even say anything after that.
I'm just like, dude, they're just playing ball, were.
Speaker 14 (02:17:15):
Ship? That is wild? I'll kill you comment. It's thrown
around a lot in those sixty minutes.
Speaker 12 (02:17:23):
Yeah, it's thrown a lot.
Speaker 1 (02:17:25):
Have you ever had any other moments like that with
a different player?
Speaker 2 (02:17:27):
James Harrison, So, I think it was the same year,
same year, and he had the he had the visor on,
and it was it was like the backside of a
run Jamal Charles as fast as fun. He's already out
the gate and I'm just kind of like holding him.
I'm like, yeah, he can't get off the block, and
he just stares at me, doesn't say anything. I kind
of like go like this to see if he's really
staring at me, and his fucking eyes follow or his
(02:17:48):
head follows a little bit, and I'm just like, what.
Speaker 1 (02:17:53):
My bad.
Speaker 2 (02:17:54):
Like three plays later, I'm on the line of screw
is like looking into the ball. He's outside backer, kind
of a fucking around with like number two three point
one set and he just times it up and smokes
me on the like times up the snap and every
that comes off the ball. Wow, just absolutely blindsided. I'm
like getting up with like my my fucking head still
(02:18:15):
trying to figure out what the fuck just happened. Plays.
Speaker 6 (02:18:18):
I absolutely fucked the entire play.
Speaker 2 (02:18:20):
Alex Smith sees the snap, sees what's happened. He's like, fuck,
I gotta get out of the pocket. Yeah, and he
just starts running around and to drive, and I'm just
and I'm just kind of looking around. I look over
at him. He's just staring at me with the fucking
visor on. Again, I'm just like not saying a thing,
and I'm just like, this guy, he's fucking killed somebody
for sure.
Speaker 14 (02:18:37):
Yeah, dude, I played him my rookie year on Monday
Night football. First play the game with your pick six.
But before the game started, all the offense on like, hey,
we now you like to chatter a little bit. Don't
talk to this guy. Don't say a word to him.
Just leave him alone. Hopefully he like stays asleep during
the game. But it's like Monday night football. I'm hyped up,
I'm juiced up. I'm already make a name for myself.
So the game, you're all day type whatever, whatever dumb
(02:19:02):
ass comment, I'm made.
Speaker 12 (02:19:03):
We're all fucking day.
Speaker 14 (02:19:04):
And he doesn't say a word to me, and then
like he kind of lines up in a four and
I go, I'm like, I'm gonna cut off this dude
so fast. And I go to cut him off and
I gotta cut no. I go to put an arm
up to get at with the linebacker in the sea block.
He drops down to the ground and just grabs my
ankle and starts gator rolling. Yes, starts gator rolling me.
And right then and there, I thought, Okay, yeah, it's
(02:19:26):
a it might be over for me. It might be
able for this conversation the rest of the game.
Speaker 1 (02:19:31):
But he was.
Speaker 14 (02:19:31):
He's got that fucking move too. He like puts his
arm in and uses your leverage to spin you around.
Because you look at him and you're like, yeah, he's
definitely like he's a beefcake, there's no doubt about. Like
he's got a lot of muscles, but he's so short.
You're like, I'll be able to handle this. It's very
hard to handle that sack, but it was a hard game.
Speaker 1 (02:19:52):
Then you see him on Instagram just pushing those sleds
and the plants are like.
Speaker 14 (02:19:55):
Plates are falling over. Hitting him in the head doesn't
even matter.
Speaker 5 (02:19:59):
All the time.
Speaker 14 (02:20:00):
He's got a bendy bar with four or five on it,
reverse gripping.
Speaker 1 (02:20:02):
It like this, brother, you are retired? Yeah, what do you?
Speaker 14 (02:20:06):
What are you here chasing?
Speaker 5 (02:20:07):
You saw his comment about the one hundred men versus Gorilla?
Speaker 1 (02:20:10):
He's yeah, Terrice, He's like, they're like, why too, wanted
to film one?
Speaker 2 (02:20:15):
To film it? That's pretty good.
Speaker 14 (02:20:18):
What's he what's he on here.
Speaker 1 (02:20:19):
Chasing eighteen hundred pounds?
Speaker 2 (02:20:22):
No way, God, he's got it. He's got to be
on that tr T or something right.
Speaker 14 (02:20:29):
Of all time that Achilles is need that in the
NBA this year.
Speaker 1 (02:20:34):
Gotta be on something.
Speaker 14 (02:20:35):
Gotta be on something right, I mean now for sure. Yeah,
but when he played, he was undrafted.
Speaker 1 (02:20:40):
You ever seen the interview rumors?
Speaker 14 (02:20:42):
Have you seen the interview of him? Like I think
it's like his first couple of years in the league
or whatever, and the guy sits down and he's like,
uh so, talk to me about the combine, hees, uh,
you I didn't go to the combine. He goes, oh,
we'll talk to me about draft night. He's like, you
don't know me, do you. He's like he's like, I
wasn't drafted, and then guys like, oh, I guess I
don't know you. He takes the microphone off and just leaves.
Speaker 2 (02:21:04):
Like, fuck this fucking guy.
Speaker 6 (02:21:07):
Then at full back, Jesus, Yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:21:09):
That's insane, bro, Like, have you seen a more intimidating
figure than him?
Speaker 11 (02:21:13):
On?
Speaker 2 (02:21:13):
No, way, that's him.
Speaker 6 (02:21:14):
That's him, sixteen.
Speaker 2 (02:21:20):
With the neck roll massive, look at those pads crazy,
the one where he sprawled out with the ice on.
Speaker 14 (02:21:27):
Yeah, what's that one right there?
Speaker 12 (02:21:30):
You know he went back and played the player.
Speaker 2 (02:21:32):
Yeah, can't stay. Baby's fucking go.
Speaker 6 (02:21:34):
Northeast Ohio Golden Flashes.
Speaker 14 (02:21:38):
They have one game in a few years.
Speaker 1 (02:21:40):
Have they?
Speaker 2 (02:21:40):
I think since Julian Elleman was quarterback. What's the most
wild that used to be fucking the that used to
be media day? Isn't that fucking nuts?
Speaker 14 (02:21:57):
You?
Speaker 1 (02:21:57):
We're gonna you jump up, We're gonna get some photos
of you in the air. What's the most wild all
field story that your mother hasn't heard that she would
be shaking her head out right now.
Speaker 2 (02:22:12):
I don't know. I think my mom has heard them all.
Speaker 1 (02:22:18):
Like an oldie that you might bring up now that
it's you know, years and years back.
Speaker 2 (02:22:25):
I got nothing I can share. Man, they're all they're
all deep, they're all deep down there.
Speaker 1 (02:22:28):
Never never get brought back up with the law to
where you kind of came out on.
Speaker 2 (02:22:33):
No, I've always been good with the law.
Speaker 6 (02:22:35):
Man.
Speaker 2 (02:22:35):
I'm a criminal justice major at the University of Cincinnati,
so I understand the law. I knew how to stay
out of jail.
Speaker 1 (02:22:41):
You know, some strategy strategy.
Speaker 6 (02:22:45):
I was like, listen, I'm not going to know how
to read, but I'm know how to stay out of jail.
Speaker 14 (02:22:48):
No, I think if you had to pick one or
the other, that's the one you pick, no doubt about it.
So never to jail.
Speaker 2 (02:22:55):
Huh, oh, you son of a bitch. What is that
you're going to bring up that you're going to take me? Right?
I thought we were done talking to Super Bowl?
Speaker 1 (02:23:05):
It was fire any old photos that you look back
at your God, it.
Speaker 2 (02:23:09):
Wasn't fucking everything. The worst thing I ever did was
the dating show. Oh, catching Kelsey was the fucking worst thing.
I ever did. Why it didn't, I don't know if
it's it didn't set me up for anything. It was
I didn't realize what reality TV really was, and it's
just what the experience was. That's not even my body
(02:23:33):
set you up for Solander, you know what I mean? Yeah,
well not even that. It was just it was I
don't even think anybody watched it. It was just fifty
women from fifty states.
Speaker 1 (02:23:47):
This is after your rookie year, so this is after
the knee.
Speaker 6 (02:23:50):
My knees, get knee, Look at me, go get it,
go get it.
Speaker 1 (02:23:56):
Everyone's question.
Speaker 2 (02:23:59):
Yeah, I'm fun. I'm having fun. I'm having fun. And
then I was like, oh shit, everybody is gonna be
able to see this forever, Like god damn it.
Speaker 1 (02:24:07):
They're all everybody in the organizations kind of like, is
Kelsey gonna work out like he was kind of injured.
He's got this fake little knee injury. He's on here
doing reality TV. Do you think he cares about the game?
Speaker 14 (02:24:20):
What is what is that first team meeting like after
the show airs?
Speaker 2 (02:24:25):
I mean I was getting smoked all season for that. Yeah.
It's fun though, I mean it's locker room bands. It's
all fun.
Speaker 14 (02:24:31):
Yeah, but if you get on the field drop a
pass or something like that, be like, Paul, I should
have done that.
Speaker 2 (02:24:36):
I forget what year I think. I think I had
a pretty solid year after that, so I still I
still showed up. So it wasn't like I wasn't being accountable.
It was just being like, hey, how about we fucking
figure out something else out to do? You know, how
about we figure something out?
Speaker 14 (02:24:50):
So was that not renewed for a second season?
Speaker 2 (02:24:54):
Even if they asked me to do it again, I
would be like hell no.
Speaker 14 (02:24:57):
How soon after that were you like I'll never do
shit again?
Speaker 2 (02:25:00):
About halfway through?
Speaker 6 (02:25:01):
Oh, no is filming at all?
Speaker 1 (02:25:03):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (02:25:04):
I mean for my head right now?
Speaker 1 (02:25:08):
Sounds like you have are a lot of good personalities
on the show.
Speaker 2 (02:25:10):
That one girl had a nice a lot of people
trying to, you know, make it big in the old Hollywood.
They said fifty from each state. It was more so
like fifty from LA that can tell you they have
a relative that lives in another state. No shit, it
was hilarious.
Speaker 14 (02:25:25):
That's just wild. And your agent said do it?
Speaker 2 (02:25:30):
Yeah? I said no to it about five times.
Speaker 1 (02:25:33):
We have any word on Battle Camp season two?
Speaker 14 (02:25:35):
I haven't heard anything yet I did. I'm assure you
that text today you did. I don't think we can
talk about that yet though. I don't think we can
publicly talk about that.
Speaker 1 (02:25:44):
Is it in your contract that you can't talk about it.
Speaker 14 (02:25:46):
I don't want to mess up.
Speaker 12 (02:25:46):
Ive got to get ahead, got to get ahead.
Speaker 14 (02:25:49):
All I need to tell you're hearing this right now,
make sure you vote, Make you vote.
Speaker 1 (02:25:57):
We're not going to say what more, deny that they're
a nominee for uh something.
Speaker 14 (02:26:04):
Yeah, just know that we got to be ready. Boots
on the ground, boots in the ground. We gotta vote,
we gotta vote, we gotta vote. So but no word
on the uh No. It has not officially greenlit a
second season of Battle Camp.
Speaker 1 (02:26:16):
Did you watch any of the Battle Camp?
Speaker 12 (02:26:18):
I didn't catch it now, Oh, widely expected to be
removed due to a strong reception.
Speaker 2 (02:26:23):
That you guys watch and kelse you didn't watch my show.
Speaker 1 (02:26:27):
I've seen the clips that come out on the internet
every now and then.
Speaker 14 (02:26:30):
Yeah, yeah, it's crazy you didn't watch any of Battle Camp.
Speaker 2 (02:26:35):
No, I don't give you a favor.
Speaker 14 (02:26:37):
When you get home, just go to Netflix, type in
battle Camp, play the show. I don't care if that's me.
I don't care if you even don't watch it. You
just walk away, go make yourself some food. But I
need that, I need those views.
Speaker 1 (02:26:50):
I need you to go rip.
Speaker 2 (02:26:51):
I'll get in there for you outstanding. Look at that, Jack,
Come on like that Jack, You're killing it. Yeah, how'd
you like that?
Speaker 3 (02:26:59):
Uh?
Speaker 14 (02:27:00):
It was definitely different. I liked it a lot. I
would definitely do it again. Nice, but the location and
that it was like an hour two and from one way,
so it's like two hours of travel every single day.
It was a lot. I was working for my family,
So I think if we do a season two, if
I can bring my family and do all that, then
I'm in because it is it's not a heavy lift
(02:27:21):
and it is a lot of fun to see how
that world works, which I really enjoyed. Got to vote,
Gotta vote when it comes out, sure July seven.
Speaker 1 (02:27:30):
Vote.
Speaker 14 (02:27:30):
Yeah, dude, last year when we were here, there's like
obviously all the hype. You guys just want a Super Bowl.
Your relationship is very fresh, and you're just on you
become an a list celebrity. What are some things that
it's been over a year since we've seen you that
you're like I miscalculated this a little bit as far
(02:27:50):
as like how much exposure, how much publicity did you
get everywhere you walk?
Speaker 2 (02:27:54):
Yeah, it's just the the being, I want to say being,
it's just the paparazzi. That's probably the only thing I
didn't really grasp until until you're in it. And that's
probably the craziest part though. Like I'm just playing golf
and all of a sudden, in the trees there's a
fucking guy with a camera and it's like we're in
(02:28:14):
a gilly suit. Yeah, Like, oh ship, Like I gotta
go to the restroom now. I can't just go over
here and take a piss.
Speaker 1 (02:28:20):
Right I can't.
Speaker 6 (02:28:24):
Yeah, it's got to get slamming. Beers just don't want my.
Speaker 2 (02:28:33):
Meat on page six, you know what I mean, Like,
you gotta you gotta go to the restroom.
Speaker 1 (02:28:42):
This is like the first season where she's not touring. Yeah,
and she'll be at a lot of the She'll be
in a lot of the Kansas City.
Speaker 2 (02:28:48):
Yeah, I mean she's she tried to get to as
many as she could last year and she gave to
a lot. So yeah, we'll have to tell you.
Speaker 1 (02:28:55):
And stuff too. You guys are just all over.
Speaker 2 (02:28:58):
Yeah, I don't having a phone with the man being
a couple. Dude, you already know it's he gets thrown
out there as it's like we're trying to seek you
attention every now and then, but it's like we're just
enjoying life and having fun going to hockey games. Yeah,
kind of introducing her to some of some more of
the sports world that she has. Stanley Cup, Yeah, that
was fun. Man, hell of a game.
Speaker 1 (02:29:20):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:29:21):
You get a fucking pulled goalie, fucking last second, fucking
five on six and score a goal with it with
like four seconds left that she was epic. Yeah, and
overtime hockey in the playoffs. Yeah, the fan bases will.
When we were at not the Super Bowl, the Draft.
Remember when we went up on top of the bud
light thing and this family came over there and wanted
(02:29:42):
to get a photo. But the wife, the lady who
was kind of like, she approached me. She's like, yeah,
I know who you are. I don't I don't really,
I don't really like your stuff. And she kind of
hits me with like the little swizzy thing, and I'm like,
what happened, Like, what's going on? I'm a big fan
of you guys. She's just like, you know, you just
did a couple of things and I'm just thinking, is
it just the troll ling of the Chiefs? Like are
you just a kind of a Chiefs fan now? And
(02:30:03):
you've seen me troll the Chiefs? Because I'm thinking, what
the fuck did I do?
Speaker 1 (02:30:05):
That was wild? It was weird.
Speaker 6 (02:30:07):
It was like forty five and just stood on business.
Speaker 1 (02:30:10):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:30:11):
Business.
Speaker 1 (02:30:11):
I was like, look, I'm the same We're on the
same bucket team. Like, do I want you guys doing
Super Bowl?
Speaker 11 (02:30:15):
No?
Speaker 1 (02:30:16):
I still love my boy trapped.
Speaker 14 (02:30:19):
Yeah, forty five year old white women, they're the most
They will stand ten toes down on anything.
Speaker 6 (02:30:25):
She let me know too.
Speaker 1 (02:30:26):
She let me know so she's watched. I'm sure she
might be watching because we've got on. Yeah, why is
he going on there?
Speaker 12 (02:30:32):
Show?
Speaker 5 (02:30:35):
Dude?
Speaker 8 (02:30:36):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (02:30:37):
Tighten you, yes, sir, dude?
Speaker 14 (02:30:39):
Is this how much bigger can it get?
Speaker 2 (02:30:41):
It blows my mind.
Speaker 14 (02:30:42):
It's crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:30:43):
How you raised over I think nine hundred thousand last
year alone for charities.
Speaker 12 (02:30:47):
That's wild.
Speaker 2 (02:30:48):
It's it's just dope that we keep getting like the
like a lot of the main guys in the tight
end community, like George is up in that thing every
single year. Greg is obviously they're the ones sing it.
And it's just cool to see eighty tight ends in
the NFL come together for a weekend. It blows my
(02:31:08):
fucking mind.
Speaker 1 (02:31:08):
Hang out, you guys have created, We've gotten pioneered less
and less position group football, Like yeah, yeah, yeah, dude,
I saw thee I'm struggling out there the day two.
Speaker 2 (02:31:22):
I am like, I am leaking bud lights and I
am just trying to figure out how I'm going to
explain a route concept. Yeah, I pull up, I pull
up absolutely ship face from the night before, and I
think Greg comes up to me, all right, traps, you
got thirty minutes, my thirty minutes of what yeah, yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:31:44):
Talking about route concepts while you're literally just draining.
Speaker 2 (02:31:46):
You're dying. Here we go, what are we going to do?
Speaker 12 (02:31:48):
It's crazy?
Speaker 6 (02:31:49):
Break out some cones tight ends.
Speaker 14 (02:31:51):
You Greg and George have admite it like a wholesome name,
like you put tight ends on the board.
Speaker 2 (02:31:58):
Well it's I feel like, and you guys get attest
to this. A lot of the tight ends are like,
whatever you need, I'm here for the good time, Like
I'm a hard work one of the hardest workers, but
at the same time, I'm here to have some fucking fun.
I feel like, naturally that's where the tight end world is.
So you get those guys from every single team, and
everybody's just kind of bringing When you bring them together,
(02:32:20):
it's just like a big kickt And sure enough, when
you're getting like starting tight ends from all over the place,
it feels like it's like an All Star like atmosphere,
like an All Star weekend atmosphere or Pro Bowl atmosphere,
and you start to kind of I don't know, it's
really like taking off into like one of my favorite
like three days before the season even starts. It's fun.
Speaker 1 (02:32:40):
And then it doesn't matter where you're at on the roster.
Like any of the younger tight ends that come in,
it's like you see the culture and community that you
guys have built. Yeah, and it's just like, I don't know,
if I was a young guy, i'd be walking away
feeling like, oh man, it is sick to be a
part of this.
Speaker 2 (02:32:52):
Yeah, And it's reassuring because the shit in the building
can get so tedious and like focused and like so serious,
and when you had George up there, you know, making
jokes about you know what he's doing, or you see
me out here just like laughing about how I got
locked up on a play. It's like you can you
see that? All right? Everybody has these ups and downs,
(02:33:12):
but you can still have fun doing this ship.
Speaker 14 (02:33:14):
Yeah what how did National tight End Date come about?
Speaker 12 (02:33:19):
That celeb?
Speaker 1 (02:33:21):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (02:33:21):
I think that. I think that's through George. George is
the He is tight end you. His family, He lives
here in Nashville, his family.
Speaker 1 (02:33:31):
So many players I feel like move here just to
go train at that barn.
Speaker 2 (02:33:34):
Dude, it's epic. It's epic, and that's a fucking hell
of a setup. But yeah, I think his family helps,
like run it. I know Claire helps a lot with
the significant others. And it's just he He's embodied kind
of the fun aspect of tight end you and like
what it means to be a tight end and how
(02:33:55):
much you can enjoy doing it but still being like
a tenacious motherfucker.
Speaker 1 (02:33:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 14 (02:34:00):
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen somebody have more
fun playing football than him.
Speaker 2 (02:34:03):
So he's the best.
Speaker 5 (02:34:05):
Is there a young George out there that you could
see carrying the just personality wise doesn't even have to
be his talent's crazy.
Speaker 2 (02:34:19):
I don't think there's another George out there. No, not
in terms of like personality, there's only one. Yeah, there's
only one of those guys. You gotta be you gotta
be batshit crazy and like football smart. Yeah, I just
I just haven't found I haven't seen anybody like that.
We got Shocky, We got Shocky this year. I haven't
(02:34:39):
met him. I haven't met him yet. Man fucking pumped. Yeah,
he was one of my favorite guys. When I moved
the tight end. I was like, dude, to be sweet,
if I could have the intimidation that Shaky had on
the field, just.
Speaker 14 (02:34:50):
Dream of throwing at somebody else's helmet.
Speaker 12 (02:34:52):
Get this, dude, Man, get hit over the.
Speaker 2 (02:34:55):
Middle, the locks coming out? Are you kidding me? I
mean that's all so bad ass.
Speaker 12 (02:35:01):
So badass.
Speaker 1 (02:35:02):
You want to him with the bud light question?
Speaker 14 (02:35:04):
Yeah, Travis Kelsey, anybody would do anything for a bud light? Okay,
what is something that you would do anything for? I
can't say. Family, got three super Bowl rings?
Speaker 1 (02:35:17):
You got it all?
Speaker 14 (02:35:18):
Happy, part of happy Gilmore.
Speaker 2 (02:35:22):
Done a lot, done a lot. I would say, man,
god damn this everything just screams win another super Bowl. Uh,
I would do anything for it. I would do anything.
I'm lame. You guys have such fucking hard questions every
(02:35:44):
time I.
Speaker 12 (02:35:44):
Come on here had this stuff.
Speaker 2 (02:35:46):
You hit me and you hit me with one last time,
I was sitting here fucking silent as fuck.
Speaker 12 (02:35:51):
Sometimes, if you ever needs a break, do anything for.
Speaker 1 (02:35:55):
The best part is we got an editing power too,
so we can just make it seem like you had
one ready to go.
Speaker 2 (02:36:01):
What was George's his answer?
Speaker 14 (02:36:04):
I think he was a super Bowl.
Speaker 5 (02:36:06):
Oh then, because y'all ask like, would you go to
prison for a year, Yeah, if you got the one
super Bowl?
Speaker 2 (02:36:12):
Hm hmm in prison?
Speaker 14 (02:36:18):
I mean, oh, you do anything for a good time.
Speaker 2 (02:36:24):
Sorry.
Speaker 14 (02:36:26):
Kelsey is known for saying he do anything for a
good time.
Speaker 2 (02:36:29):
I'm here for a good time.
Speaker 1 (02:36:30):
Yeah, per chat up.
Speaker 2 (02:36:31):
Yeah, I can't always believe chat I looked up a
few of those, man, I would say. I mean, I'm
just gonna go Super Bowl. I just want to. I
want to end this season without that fucking sour taste
in my mouth. So I do anything for to be
on the other side of the mountain again.
Speaker 1 (02:36:49):
Yes, that's wild. You already have three.
Speaker 14 (02:36:53):
It's kind of selfish.
Speaker 1 (02:36:55):
Yeah, if anything.
Speaker 14 (02:36:56):
I think that's a little like you remember twenty nineteen
when he took a super opportunit away for me.
Speaker 6 (02:37:02):
I mean you remember the game though, you do it though.
Speaker 2 (02:37:08):
It was a beautiful day. Huh.
Speaker 14 (02:37:11):
You remember after the game, dat me up? Hey Bro,
great to see you.
Speaker 2 (02:37:13):
I didn't say great to see I say great game,
great to see you having a great game.
Speaker 14 (02:37:17):
We're trying to be homies, which I did appreciate and love.
But also you took something from me.
Speaker 2 (02:37:21):
No, I'll never get I might have. I took it
more from him than I ever took.
Speaker 1 (02:37:26):
Awad What did you take from him? What'd you take
from me?
Speaker 14 (02:37:31):
He played like two games his old career in the playoffs,
So yeah, we.
Speaker 1 (02:37:35):
Played against I was never even on that. Well, I
guess the Ravens Ravens. I wasn't on the Ravens when
we played the Ravens. You were up in the suite,
that's right, you were up in the sweet film and
me being a demon on kickoff. That's all right.
Speaker 14 (02:37:51):
We got to resurface that video too.
Speaker 1 (02:37:54):
I took a bit.
Speaker 14 (02:37:55):
This is the year I had my a c L
torn and I was taking a video of every snap
Will took. He I think he touched three people the
entire game.
Speaker 2 (02:38:03):
It's out there running around, he was it was kicking.
Speaker 1 (02:38:07):
Yeah, the zieline dapping up a J. Brown.
Speaker 14 (02:38:17):
Yeah, dude, Yeah, super Bowl would be nice, be good.
What would you do for a four Super Bowl?
Speaker 2 (02:38:23):
What would you like?
Speaker 1 (02:38:24):
I think is he would do anything to have a
thousand yard season, get this franchise touchdown record and cap
it off of the Super Bowl, only to sail off
into the sunset and not need football again.
Speaker 2 (02:38:36):
Yeah, well, a focus on Super Bowl.
Speaker 14 (02:38:38):
Yeah yeah, but those are your miners, the thousand yard season,
the record, but you're major.
Speaker 2 (02:38:44):
I stopped throwing I stopped throwing the yards in there.
I just want to get done.
Speaker 1 (02:38:49):
You stopped throwing them in there because you failed to
get the consecutive one thousands.
Speaker 2 (02:38:53):
No, well, I mean I chose not to play that game.
Speaker 1 (02:38:57):
Oh that's right, that's right.
Speaker 2 (02:38:59):
It just isn't about the yards for me anymore. It
used to be. I used to fucking want to get
a thousand yards every year, every single year, like that
was like the milestone and that you were elite in
the league, especially at the tight end position. Yeah, but
then I just like, it's more important to get dubs,
and I feel like getting that message to the teammates
(02:39:20):
was way more important.
Speaker 14 (02:39:21):
It's very easy to say that when you're a first
ballot Hall of Famer, when you're travels in the barn,
call it quits right now five years from season. Well,
I are doing your induction speech, my boy, Travis, he
did it.
Speaker 1 (02:39:35):
Yeah, if you need us, phone call away, because you're
gonna do a lot for us. So we're just like,
you know, but we're available. You know, we'll do that.
Give you a hell of an introduction.
Speaker 14 (02:39:46):
But it is a hell of luxury to sit there.
But I'm not worried about yards, Like your legacy is
cemented regardless of what happens this season. And that's got
to be a badass feeling.
Speaker 2 (02:39:56):
Yeah, but it's still the taste in my mouth from
the last game still, that is a true athlete. I can't.
I can't. I don't feel comfortable, you know what I mean.
Speaker 14 (02:40:07):
I can't want the paranoid survive. That's all I got,
That's all I have.
Speaker 1 (02:40:14):
That was my bar for the day, Dravis, This was great.
We'll see you August twenty eighth. On the sideline pre
game little pregame presser we'll get the stair down going.
Speaker 2 (02:40:28):
Let's fucking go.
Speaker 12 (02:40:30):
Yeah, go ahead.
Speaker 1 (02:40:32):
Fish. I thought, no, Fish, I thought he's gonna know.
He's gonna know after the first quarter. He's gonna know
after the first first quarter, he's gonna know.
Speaker 2 (02:40:41):
Come on, man, can't come at us.
Speaker 1 (02:40:43):
Like I'm gonna pull He's gonna look at me on
the side of after scoring the first rive. What's your
what what I'm gonna pull out a magnum. I'm gonna
look at it and I'm gonna throw in the trash
came back. We don't need one. Yeah, pull out a
can of basoline. Yeah, don't need Yeah. But they pull
out a spark Yeah it right now, Michael, we.
Speaker 2 (02:41:03):
Do what what's you guys like? What are you guys?
A good like passing team.
Speaker 1 (02:41:10):
We're gonna be a good passing team. We're gonna be
a good running team. We're gonna be solid on defense.
We're a little lighter in the ass.
Speaker 2 (02:41:16):
Because we lost a couple Oh, that's the last thing
you'd see that.
Speaker 1 (02:41:19):
We lost a couple of big dogs in the middle.
Speaker 2 (02:41:22):
See that's where that's where we have a better offensive.
Speaker 1 (02:41:24):
Line than Raila. Another year in the system, you know,
his old man, Dominic Reela. This is a kid who
comes into the system. He knows every check, every pass protection,
that there is a check at the line of scrimmage. True,
got weapons on the outside. Yeah, Dominic Raiolae thirteen years
in the league, twelve thirteen all pro.
Speaker 2 (02:41:39):
No, I'm talking about his son.
Speaker 1 (02:41:42):
Yeah, that's his that's his boy out there.
Speaker 2 (02:41:43):
Yeah. And he's he's on the same level mentally, he's
on a.
Speaker 1 (02:41:47):
Yeah, he's on a level mentally. I was talking to
the OC and we were you know, I'll keep those
conversations private.
Speaker 6 (02:41:52):
Centerfield's brother.
Speaker 1 (02:41:55):
Holgerson, Dana Holgerson. He wears the uh the Boys red
hat on the side like j Penis And I'm talking about.
Speaker 2 (02:42:04):
Okay, okay, okay.
Speaker 1 (02:42:07):
We hired him mid year, went on a little run
there at the end.
Speaker 2 (02:42:11):
I remember this dude, a.
Speaker 1 (02:42:15):
Stumble in Iowa run at the end of the year.
But second last game of the year, we stumbled with Iowa.
Speaker 9 (02:42:20):
Wait.
Speaker 14 (02:42:20):
I was the second to last game of the year.
Speaker 1 (02:42:22):
I was like our last regular season game because you know,
we went bowling bad Boy Mowers.
Speaker 14 (02:42:27):
We'll still.
Speaker 2 (02:42:30):
Was the best bowl game you went to when you
were there.
Speaker 1 (02:42:32):
Capitol One Part of the new year six and here
we go, will what'd you do? Pick six?
Speaker 6 (02:42:38):
Pick six?
Speaker 1 (02:42:41):
His trips far gun the ex was nasty and there's
a little tip on the sheet. One hundred percent of
the time they'd run a you know, the extra runner dragon.
They're trying to get you with the with the running
back mid screens. Get it out right. When he was
coming down, like shut give me, Murray did a little spin.
Here it is right here. We got the clip pulled up.
We found it. I'll know we got it so fast.
(02:43:02):
Why do you see the trips far gun xes? Nasty's
inside the numbers. For those watching, he's inside the numbers.
That's what we mean by nasty.
Speaker 6 (02:43:09):
Loads green, it's brutal.
Speaker 1 (02:43:10):
Oh no, come on, guys, I got trapping. I gotta
show on this.
Speaker 5 (02:43:18):
This is crazy we do if we're trying to wait
for it to load. Some shout I don't know if
he shout out could be in order. Because our god Demetrius,
he said he came prepared in case the opportunity came up.
Speaker 2 (02:43:28):
Yeah, he got me last.
Speaker 1 (02:43:31):
Oh here we slipped up. Can you hit the rewind?
Can you hit the rewind?
Speaker 6 (02:43:36):
Who the fuck is that? Aaron Murray. Yes, bro, God
damn it.
Speaker 1 (02:43:39):
Aaron Todd Gurley was Keith Mark.
Speaker 2 (02:43:44):
You can't fucking stare fifty one right in the fucking
eyes and throw it right. Yeah, he thought thought he
didn't respect you at all. He's like, no way, this
guy can catch it.
Speaker 14 (02:43:53):
Catching spin is impressive, double clutch.
Speaker 1 (02:43:57):
Though I thought I was forty yards. I guess it
was just twenty five, you guys, one that we won
the first half. They named the games after you. Yeah,
New Year six. That's why they named the pick six
on New Year's Day? Did you know that?
Speaker 6 (02:44:12):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:44:13):
I didn't even know you guys. I don't even know
you guys went into the ball.
Speaker 1 (02:44:16):
What year is this two thousand? The year was twenty
thirteen because the New Year just kicked off. But it
was the twenty twelfth season.
Speaker 14 (02:44:26):
We played that year, didn't we.
Speaker 1 (02:44:29):
Yeah, we beat you guys. We were in our black shirts.
You guys average two yards of carry.
Speaker 14 (02:44:33):
This is your senior year.
Speaker 1 (02:44:34):
Yeah, last game of my last game of my life
in college ball. You had to send you had to
go off right. I did my part. Listen. I got
us up thirteen.
Speaker 14 (02:44:42):
Six, got us up thirteen six. Bullshit took care of
the last Yeah.
Speaker 2 (02:44:47):
We had to lead. God, I don't know what was
your last year.
Speaker 12 (02:44:51):
Last game, last game?
Speaker 14 (02:44:53):
Buffalo Wall Wings Bull Also, yeah, Tempe, Arizona. My last
game in high school was also at Arizona and we
played Kansas State and we got Donkey stopped like forty
four to fourteen. Shout out Russell Bellamy, our quarterback.
Speaker 1 (02:45:09):
What was the best boys played there?
Speaker 2 (02:45:14):
I got in against Tim Tebow and the Florida Gators
at the Sugar Bowl. Oh yeah, we I think Tim
Tebow threw for five hundred yards and we all know
he's not much of a thrower.
Speaker 1 (02:45:27):
Yeah, kind of went off.
Speaker 2 (02:45:28):
Yeah he did. He had his career day against the
old bear Cats.
Speaker 14 (02:45:32):
Solid first round draft pick.
Speaker 2 (02:45:34):
Yeah, we gave it.
Speaker 14 (02:45:35):
Yeah, they got who they lose to Old Miss that
year and then we lose the national state.
Speaker 2 (02:45:41):
They did they did a thirty, They did a thirty
for thirty on that team, and they didn't show the
last game they played. I was hoping we were going
to get a came, came. They didn't even showIn you
guys put up. I had one carry for twenty two yards.
Speaker 1 (02:45:55):
One carry.
Speaker 2 (02:45:56):
Yeah, it was back one of my QB days. No
back in my QB days playing quarterback.
Speaker 1 (02:46:01):
So you were getting killed.
Speaker 2 (02:46:02):
The second half, man, we're getting smoked murdered.
Speaker 9 (02:46:10):
I was.
Speaker 6 (02:46:10):
I was a part of that second half surge though.
Speaker 1 (02:46:12):
You see.
Speaker 14 (02:46:15):
Second half, sir.
Speaker 1 (02:46:17):
But he he came, came, started for the shadow, No
free shutout.
Speaker 2 (02:46:23):
He's got the jersey on Shadow.
Speaker 1 (02:46:27):
Off kick us.
Speaker 2 (02:46:29):
Let's go meet Cincinnati bear Cat as well. Let's sucking
go meat.
Speaker 14 (02:46:32):
Let's go.
Speaker 1 (02:46:35):
Are you gonna be there on August twenty eight? You know?
Speaker 2 (02:46:38):
Will you?
Speaker 3 (02:46:38):
I've been hearing a lot of chirps. I've been back
here quiet, you know, but it's gonna be Cats by ninety,
Cats by ninety.
Speaker 12 (02:46:46):
I was one away or so quiet back there.
Speaker 2 (02:46:49):
Just waiting tailor.
Speaker 3 (02:46:50):
Yeah, but shout out, no free shadowt what I say
last year, Shout out to all the plumbers last year,
but this year toilets. Sometimes when you're in a quick
buying you need something good to eat. You know, you
start scrawling on Uber Eats. Door dash is terrible, Uber eats.
Some Uber eats all day, you know what I mean?
Shout out to all those delivery drivers out there slumming
the streets, delivering that hot, fresh food from wherever you
(02:47:12):
decide to you know, press some mid on.
Speaker 2 (02:47:14):
You know, man, they're the real MVPs out there. Damn Yo,
that's a big ol' swam bitch right there.
Speaker 14 (02:47:23):
Tell us what you shoulder pads in that jersey?
Speaker 1 (02:47:25):
Right now?
Speaker 2 (02:47:26):
Dude?
Speaker 1 (02:47:29):
What nothing?
Speaker 4 (02:47:32):
Well?
Speaker 14 (02:47:32):
Did you say something?
Speaker 1 (02:47:32):
Boy? Tut? Do you got a shout out? JP? I
can give one if we need to give them.
Speaker 5 (02:47:38):
Uh my shout out, no, free shoutout would be we're
talking about reading earlier when you're in elementary school and
either your name or your friend's name comes up in
the text that you're reading in the book for class.
So it's like Michael went to the store to grab
five apples, and you look over at your boy Michael,
You're like, you're in the book, And I feel like
it's alwayshype when your name gets featured in your like elementary.
Speaker 6 (02:48:00):
School school book.
Speaker 1 (02:48:02):
All right, yeah, Colin, very nice, very nice.
Speaker 8 (02:48:10):
My shoutout for Shadow this week goes to goes to
my twenty nineteen Susquehanna football team. We got an email
or we got notified I think like a week ago
that we are team is getting inducted into the Ring
of Honor for our college.
Speaker 6 (02:48:27):
The whole team the whole team.
Speaker 2 (02:48:29):
Nice, there you go.
Speaker 8 (02:48:30):
Okay, man, September sixth, I will be up at Susquehanna
accepting that, so I won't be here.
Speaker 1 (02:48:39):
Yeah this question?
Speaker 2 (02:48:41):
Oh yeah, so.
Speaker 1 (02:48:43):
You're not going to be at work Saturdays. It's Saturday.
Speaker 8 (02:48:48):
The captains are accepting it, and I was blessed enough
to be a captain, So me, Davy Cole.
Speaker 1 (02:48:55):
All right, I see you. Mitch.
Speaker 14 (02:48:58):
Mitch is having a record year right now.
Speaker 2 (02:49:00):
I thought he was a center with that sea up
there with you're a captain?
Speaker 14 (02:49:02):
Yeah, yeah, nice, Sure what you got for us, babe?
Speaker 11 (02:49:07):
Shout out in a free shout out to the twenty
nineteen Susquehanna roster. They're getting inducted into the Ring of Honor,
and my boy Mitch is going to be there. He
was a captain on the team.
Speaker 14 (02:49:16):
Nice, good, great shout out. Great shout out, will. I
don't have one on me right now, I'm gonna steal one.
Last week JP was going on a bachelor party. Wasn't
excited about going on that bachlor party. Yesterday I decided
(02:49:37):
to call JP. But hey, was it worth it? Quickly
says yes. Drives, However, many hours you did drive for
eight hours. It took eight hours to get back right,
So let's say six hours there, eight hours back, just
to spend one day with his boy who's known for
a long time. And the one thing that resonated with
me in that conversation was the gratitude text from your
boy saying, Hey, I appreciate you making the time.
Speaker 12 (02:49:59):
Thank you for coming out.
Speaker 14 (02:49:59):
I know we don't get to hang out as much,
and I feel like anytime you see one of your friends,
you do something, you go the extra mile for one
of your old friends you haven't seen a long time,
and you get that text, you realize you're on the
right path in life. So shout out the gratitude texts.
Speaker 1 (02:50:23):
Us, do you need me to give one?
Speaker 2 (02:50:25):
Yeah, you're yours.
Speaker 1 (02:50:27):
I'm back and forth between violent shits in our fire department. No,
these are two separate shout outs. I'm gonna shout out
our our fire department, the ambulance crew. I haven't told
you this story. I told it last night for the dads.
(02:50:49):
But Rue was choking on a coin. Ru was choking
on a coin. I was sitting at the kitchen island.
She was having lunch. We're talking routine lunch Charle was
playing with Scotty on the couch, and Rue wanted Charlo
to do this magic trick that Charle always does for
and Charle's like, I can do a free later, sweetheart.
I'm playing with Scotty right now, but whenever you get done,
(02:51:10):
we can do the magic trick over here. And I'm
pumping out an email, so I'm not watching Rue. But
apparently there was a coin, a euro a coin sitting
on the kitchen island. Rue grabs the coin, and this
magic trick is like whether Charle puts in the back
of her ear behind her head, or it comes out,
but it seems like it comes out of her mouth,
or she puts it in her mouth and it comes
(02:51:31):
out somewhere else. So Rue has the coin, and she's
essentially trying to mimic this magic trick. So she puts
the coin in her mouth and she starts choking to
where I'm sitting there on my iPad, and I hear
her gag herself, and I hear make the gag noise,
and I kind of look over at and she's got
her fingers in her mouth and she gags herself again,
and I'm just looking at her I'm like, what are
you doing? They're thinking, like, you know, she might have
(02:51:52):
found something new that she was like doing. I have
no clue. And I hear Charles say, like, are you choking?
I was like, is she choking? She's like she's choking,
She's choking. There's a coin in her mouth that I
stand up and I'm like, what in the fuck is
going on? I like get behind her room and I
start trying to give her the heim lick, and Charles like,
are you doing it right? And I was like, I
think I'm doing it right. And I'm like hopping up
and down with her, like right below the stern. I'm
trying to get it up, and Charles just jumps and
(02:52:14):
watch out, and she's like trying to grip it out
of trying to like reach down her throat and get
the coin. She's like, I feel it. I feel I
feel it. And she's like I lost it. I lost it.
Speaker 6 (02:52:22):
And I'm like, I go, what do we do? She's
like call nine one one.
Speaker 1 (02:52:25):
I'm gonna con I'm gonna keep trying to scrape it out.
So I called nine one one. I'm in an absolute panic.
She's trying to get the coin out of rust. She's
starting to bleed. There's like blood on my shirt because
she like scratches her in the throat and I'm on
the phone. The call lasts about three minutes, and about
the two minute mark when we have somebody on their way,
Charles like, I got the coin again, I got the coin.
She rips the coin out of her throat and ruined
up being fine. But the EMT, like the fire department, everybody,
(02:52:48):
like you know, comes over to the house and they
just check her for vital She turned up fine, but
absolute terrifying moment, insane best there within. I want to say,
like three minutes from that call, Oh no shit, there's
like somebody coming, Like when the call was happening, She's like,
there's somebody coming right now. Because I was like, hey,
she got the coin out. She seems to be doing okay.
(02:53:09):
I asked her a couple of questions like while I'm
on the phone, and she's like, well, everybody, they're on
their way already, so they're gonna come and just like
check her vitals and stuff. So shut out the fire department,
the EMT, the EMT crew, because they're like giving us,
you know, they're like breaking down like some of the
situations that could have happened, because I'm thinking in my
mind in that moment, if she goes unconscious, like she
could die, that's not like she was like, no, even
(02:53:30):
if she goes unconscious, she started doing the compressions and
she's trying to get like oxygen to her brain. We
would have still got it out had we arrived, because
a coin. The good thing about a coin is it's
not like it doesn't break down like food does in
your throat to work and like fully close it, fully
close it up. But it's like, you know, they're kind
of briefing us on everything to happen. But it was
fucking terrifying. What was that talk like after the rough Hey,
(02:53:53):
we're not gonna put a coin in her mouth anymore,
are we? And yeah, yeah not like you know, Charle
is in a pay in and stuff afterwards, and and
I was like, uh, maybe we don't teach Scotty that
magic trick. But you know, we ended up it ended
up all slid. But it was like in that moment,
(02:54:14):
it was hell, buddy. It was scary, especially when Charles
like I got it and she's like I lost it
went down further I'm just like, oh my god, and
Charge just jumps into like superhero mode, like you call
that one, and she's like scraping it out for she's like,
you know, knuckle deep. She has like bite marks like
up here on her hand.
Speaker 14 (02:54:34):
Dude, we got so I don't know if we don't
have this exact one, but there's something like that goes
over their nose and mouth and you like press a
button and it pulls something out.
Speaker 1 (02:54:41):
So we'll like that's what you first started to talk
about last night.
Speaker 14 (02:54:45):
Yeah, it's not it's not this, but it's like it's
like more like harder plastic and it kind of goes
down and it has something up there and you press
it but on it and it shoots it down. It's
like spring loaded where it shoots down and so it
can pull something out. Because I've had the thought a
couple of times with the kids eating something like they'll
just eat great. I'm thinking myself, those grapes are dangerous.
Speaker 1 (02:55:02):
Motherfuckers always slicing.
Speaker 14 (02:55:04):
Them always, But then they get older and you're like,
all right, I guess you can have a regular ass grape.
And I just get nervous, getting nervous about that choking
and pools. Man, I get nervous with my kids being it.
Speaker 12 (02:55:13):
That's not it either.
Speaker 2 (02:55:15):
But yeah, Draft, I'm over here trying to figure it out.
And then I hear how serious this fucking story is.
So I haven't been thinking about it at all. It
Shout out to your wife, though, man, that's all she jumped,
(02:55:35):
you know what. Shout out to the Cleveland Heights Tigers, man,
take it back to high school. I haven't been around
my city in probably two years, man. And I I
literally named a podcast with me and my brother after
the upbringing that we had. And I just I love
the I love the areas that I grew up. I
love the families that that helped me kind of become
(02:55:55):
the man that I am today. And uh, I just
feel like you can never give enough love to a
community that that that raises kids the right way, man.
So shout out, free shout out, shutout, No free shout out.
I love you guys.
Speaker 1 (02:56:11):
You and Jacent have to put pressure and that sneak
them an idea, but hosts a little live podcast.
Speaker 2 (02:56:18):
Yeah, we both got to get back to Cleveland.
Speaker 1 (02:56:20):
Man. I was just gonna say, sometimes I enjoy the
fight of an explosive ship, like when you know, when
you know you're having a big one and you're kind
of fighting, you know, no punitendi, you're kind of fighting
your ass off, a little bit of blood in the
stool afterwards, and you're kind of like it becomes a
strategy to where, Okay, I can't push this out. I'm
gonna have to slowly start breaking it down. So you
(02:56:41):
start like clamping your ass cheeks and your asshole, so
it breaks it down a little bit so you can
have a little bit more life to push. And then
you don't want to push too hard because again you're
not trying to get a hemorrhoid. I've had those. Those
are hell, so just a little out of time, you squeeze,
you push a little harder.
Speaker 6 (02:56:55):
We gotta we gotta start hydrating.
Speaker 1 (02:56:59):
Push a little harder is almost like when they tell
you leave two reps in the bank when you're doing
a max outset. So you don't want to go to
a full bore where you RPMs are all the way up.
I'm gonna go just enough, break it down a little
bit more and get it out. And I sometimes I
enjoy a nice fight in the toilet feels good. Yeah, yeah,
that was it.
Speaker 12 (02:57:20):
That's insane.
Speaker 6 (02:57:21):
A little blood in the still wild.
Speaker 12 (02:57:24):
What a great time in this podcast. Thank you Travis Kelsey.
That's with the boiling.
Speaker 1 (02:57:28):
But we stop.
Speaker 14 (02:57:28):
