N that's FANDOL dot com slash busting to get in
on this Sunday's action with that sweet sweet profit boost token.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
Boys, let's get started, Clay. I'm glad we were able
to give you a little education on gambling one to one,
but you shouldn't feel two alone. A couple of years ago,
when we started the gambling thing Slips and Picks five hundred,
it was my first year gambling as well, so I
was kind of playing to catch up. It's confusing, same
you get in Delaney.
Speaker 3 (02:32):
They were very new.
Speaker 2 (02:33):
We'll already had bet the bus going on, and so
all these guys kind of understood, and I'm like, now
like hosting a show, and I'm like sitting there being like, yeah,
minus this, minus that. Like you get a little confused
about this thing.
Speaker 1 (02:44):
And then you think to yourself too, like, okay, if
you're taking them to win by or to cover minus
three and a half, it's like, why not just take
a moneylength?
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Like why can't we just pick the games to win?
Speaker 1 (02:53):
Which then as you learn you get in there, you
put like a hundred on something that might be like
minus three hundred.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Ods You're like, I'm not really making a whole lot
of money.
Speaker 1 (03:00):
But if you move that line and you take them
to cover, you're like, Okay, this feels a little more exhilary.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I see what's happening here. Yeah, yeah, But hey, we
know at the beginning of the show belongs to one
man and one man only, Clay, What do you got
for us? What did you bring this week? Entertain us?
Speaker 4 (03:17):
Like, I honestly glue you got locker room last week?
Speaker 2 (03:21):
People. A lot of people were saying, maybe it will Compton.
Isn't the locker room guy bus.
Speaker 3 (03:25):
Maybe it is Clay.
Speaker 2 (03:26):
What's going to bring on week three? What's going to do?
What's to do?
Speaker 1 (03:30):
Man?
Speaker 5 (03:30):
Just my presence alone, I thought that was enough for
you boys. But I'm just like the gag guy now,
like the funny guy. We bring here for Like.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
What you did is you make the mistake all men do,
like if they're going to the first ay and you
take them to a nice steak, all these things and
set the bar high. So now we're expecting it, and
you got us a nice perse the first week.
Speaker 5 (03:48):
Hey, I'll bring something for next week, something for this week.
I don't have anything.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
So the viewers now are watching the show, who showed
up for.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
What they should probably just leave for the beginning of
the show. They love the beginning of Bro, you took
them all?
Speaker 7 (04:01):
Do you use them all?
Speaker 4 (04:02):
But but I'm in that.
Speaker 5 (04:03):
I mean, we will be bringing contract talks to you know,
be the official spokesman for Ammonia capsule smelling wow.
Speaker 2 (04:12):
Out. We used the rest of them on the stream.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Oh yeah, we did Thursday night, and then we had
a couple more for Saturday.
Speaker 7 (04:17):
Yeah, we did well.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
We don't have any more salts.
Speaker 7 (04:19):
We ran out right now, we bust them down.
Speaker 2 (04:24):
We had to keep that because I want to take that.
Speaker 6 (04:25):
It may just be two left then because we put
with four, we can get some more Thursday night.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
Clayton is a guy who has a guy who is
with a guy. But yeah, for all you guys out
there going on your first date, don't do what clay did,
like take them this on it, pulling that drive through. Said,
the key to happiness is low expectations. Set that bar
pretty fast. Bears Lions, you guys want to talk about it, we.
Speaker 3 (04:49):
Can talk about Bears lines.
Speaker 1 (04:50):
I'm honestly, I'm I'm disappointed that I'm not looking at
an undefeated week because the damn Ravens.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Bro Yeah, Ravens.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
They dominated that game. Josh Allen's a superhero.
Speaker 2 (05:04):
They dominated that everything about the game except for the
box score and no point in that game. Do you
watch it and you think Bills are in it?
Speaker 6 (05:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (05:10):
But then Josh Allen just went and do Josh Allen things,
and then Bill's Mafia did Bill's Mafia things, tagging us
saying you good tayalorl One.
Speaker 7 (05:17):
Oh yeah, I picked.
Speaker 2 (05:18):
Him to win the Super Bowl. And now they put
me on their Instagram, which I deserve, by the way.
Like I went there and said, Josh Allen, they got
the squad. This is the year they get over the hump.
And then Week one I start philandering around. It gives
me in a bed with another woman for a second. Yeah,
I got caught red handed. So it's just crazy. Like
Derek Henry over one hundred rushing yards in the first half,
the defense, Kyle Hamilton, that safety world. It was a
(05:42):
moment game with this fee and it was it's just
that many.
Speaker 3 (05:44):
What was the score of the game was of forty
to thirty.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
One to forty right.
Speaker 6 (05:47):
Yeah forty one and yeah forty one for the Ravens.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Offense had fifty one total plays on offense and they
scored forty points.
Speaker 6 (05:55):
I know, wow, crazy every time they touched whatever, they scored.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Take every single time they have.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
They'll see each other again, Yeah each other?
Speaker 7 (06:05):
Yea, they definitely see each other again.
Speaker 2 (06:07):
Do you you guys are who Stabros is? The comedian?
Speaker 3 (06:10):
Love him?
Speaker 2 (06:10):
Love him? Did you see as one about the radios? Yeah,
he had this whole thing. But maybe Derek Henrick's washed up.
I'm looking for a quarterback like Skataboo or CMC just
off the top of the head.
Speaker 6 (06:19):
Wow he is.
Speaker 2 (06:23):
He's hilarious, bro, He's hilarious out out tires. But how
are we feeling? Quick break?
Speaker 1 (06:28):
Because we are brought to you by michelob Ultra Superior
light Beer. The delicious taste of victory deserves something equally superior.
Cheer on your team with Michelobultra at two point six, gentlemen,
listen to me, two point six carbs in ninety five calories.
It's a superior smooth taste worth playing four. Michelobultra, the
Superior light Beer. The Lady about Lions Bears. Bears are
(06:52):
underdogs five and a half. That means if the Lions
win by four. The Bears cover. For anybody who's listening
on the show.
Speaker 6 (06:59):
Which is crazy, just to see how the Lions performed
last week, that their favorite against the Bears, and see
how the Bears win, and you had Caleb Williams go.
I mean, he looked a good for another starting the
season off with the Bears. Hearing what Taylor had to
say about the news them not getting along, not gelling,
(07:20):
I feel like they gel pretty well. He put points
on the board, he moved the ball. That defense defense
was exciting. Obviously, they didn't get the job done. JJ
made some great plays at the end with his feet
getting the ball in the end zone. But I'm gonna
have to go with the Bears. I feel like the
Bears is an exciting team this year. I don't know
what the Lions are going to do. Obviously they're going
to make some changes, but that offensive coordinator, who is he?
(07:43):
What is he doing? Those boys couldn't move the ball,
couldn't do nothing well. So I'm taking the Bears.
Speaker 2 (07:48):
Man.
Speaker 7 (07:49):
I feel like Caleb is gonna get this game done.
Speaker 1 (07:51):
I wish I could like watch these games with you
and understand what cool ads you're drinking and what you're
seeing for this Bears offense jelling.
Speaker 5 (08:01):
Outside of the first drive, I mean, the rest of
that game was Newsday was yelling.
Speaker 2 (08:06):
Started. He started ten for ten for fifty one yards.
It's like that is your scripted plays that you Thursday
through Sunday.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
And third quarter you get to pick six, like the game.
They're yelling that game.
Speaker 6 (08:17):
They should have won that game, they should win the game.
Speaker 2 (08:20):
You start ten for ten or fifty one yards like, oh,
Cayle Williams, He's seen the field, he's understanding, he's going
through his progressions. But then you finally get off the
script and he goes eight for twenty one.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
After that, I mean, he moving the ball, he got
the in the end zone he had and then he
hadn't had a rushing touchdown all last year, finally getting it.
He's feeling that was in the first that was in
the first town. I'm telling he feeling comfortable just just
watching see.
Speaker 2 (08:38):
Ben Johnson's face didn't seem like he was feeling comfortable
in that press conference after the game.
Speaker 6 (08:42):
Yeah, because they lost the game, the game they had
in hand.
Speaker 7 (08:46):
The defense lost that game for them.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
Have you ever heard of the eighteen sixty five novel
Tale Two Cities, written by Charlis Dickerson.
Speaker 7 (08:53):
I mean I may have heard it, but I heard it.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
This is a cheers reference for some of your old
heads out there. The first line in the whole book
is the best of times is the worst of times.
So that's exactly what it was for the Chicago Bears.
In that game. They had JJ McCarthy in a fucking blender.
He was non existent. He seemed overwhelmed. He seemed like
the moment was too big for him. And then the
haters and the doubts like, he's got the intangibles, he's
a he's a born winner. He he you know, look
(09:18):
what he did at Michigan. He didn't have to throw
it because he had a good run game. And if
he doesn't have a good run, they were all over
his ass. Then he throws a pick six, and you
can tell Kevin O'Connell's a little uncomfortable about him, because
they ran the ball two times in a row after that.
In the next drive, then all of a sudden, JJ
McCarthy wakes up and he's showing that, Okay, Kevin O'Connell's
a hell of a coach. You see its situationally with
that two minute with two minus and three seconds left
(09:40):
in the clock running it out of the end zone
on that kicker return. You see it with JJ McCarthy
sticking with him when you could have got a first
year starter and been like, hey, let's get him out,
let's preserve him, let's save some of this confidence. Let's
get somebody else in there to help him out. Kid
lit up. If I am the Chicago Bears, that was
a demoralizing loss. That's a loss that's like maybe Ben
Johnson is the leader of men that people claimed he
(10:01):
is in maybe Caleb Williams is more focused on the
nail polish than he is actually what's going on in
the game plan. The defense looks nice, but like if
you're a Minnesota you're like, oh that Kevin O'Connell was
one of the best coaches in the NFL for a reason,
Like they're gonna be okay. Their defense is nasty, and
it seems like JJ, if he continues where he left
off in that fourth quarter, you can roll.
Speaker 6 (10:19):
You will see.
Speaker 5 (10:23):
We're talking about the Vikers when we get to the Vikings.
But like, I got the Lions beating the Bears, right, here.
I think it is a demoralizing loss. I look at
the Lions though their loss as nothing more. I look
at this game as a get back on track game.
But I look at their loss as nothing more than
a tough loss against a tough divisional opponent on the road.
This might be silly to say, but I think the
Packers had more to play for in this game. Hearing
(10:44):
about their one to five divisional record, you know, having
a home game to open up.
Speaker 3 (10:49):
The season, what are they going to do?
Speaker 5 (10:51):
The micah a trade and you hear the popa of
the crowd. It wasn't like that since fifty two was
running out that back. So like, I put nothing more into.
What I do have a little concern about is their
offensive line play. I mean that is what Dan Campbell
has has. The Lions have taken so much pride in
blue collar their offensive line dominating the line of scrimmage.
(11:14):
Jamior Gibbs just you know, running the ball and it
looks like they had forty four yards on twenty carries
between David Montgomery and Gibs. Like that's tough. And then
Golf looked uncomfortable in the pocket. He looked really uncomfortable.
I think that's more a testament to rag now retiring
Glasgow moving in. I know they got like a second.
Speaker 2 (11:35):
Round, both guards, one guard move but I know.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
Some people say they're looking for their identity and whatnot.
Golf was still efficient. I know a lot of them
were checkdowns. He didn't have that touchdown till the very
end on an amazing you know, throwing cash. But ultimately
I believe in Dan Campbell here. I believe they go home,
they get this win against the Bears. I mean it's
I think the Bears are going to start the season.
Speaker 2 (11:59):
Ze.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
I think it's hard to come back with all the
momentum they had leading into Week one, with that terrible loss.
I think they're gonna start the season. Zhe two Lions
jump back to one to one.
Speaker 1 (12:08):
I'm with you. I got Lions minus five and a half.
I feel like they just played a very good football
team in Green Bay. And even you were talking about
the offense, the lack of yardage, the lack of productivity
and production between the two running backs.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
But even on defense, like.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
The backers look good, but not a whole lot of
pass rush from your boy Aiden Hayden Hutchinson. Not a
whole lot of pass rush on that side of the football.
I feel like they'll they will get back on track
because a run defense is nice, and I think they're
gonna they're gonna swallow the Bears, especially at home in Detroit,
getting to go back home after being at Green Bay.
I think this is a GBOT game for day Cambell. Yes,
(12:46):
I got Lions covered. I'm going Lions mine and a
half as well. I love the Lions thought process and
taking two guys internally after your ocing or DC leave,
taking John Moore in the OC and be like, hey,
he understands he's been a part of that culture and
what Ben Johnson liked to run. And then you run
into the situation you get with the three interior off
its alignment. I think great Glasgow officuse. He's a teammate
of mine at the University of Michigan. He goes from
left guard in the center. You have a rookie starting
(13:07):
at the left guard position, a new starter, and the
right guard position, you can see it on the film,
takes a.
Speaker 2 (13:12):
Little bit of jail. Anytime they ran games. They see
a little loose lot of penetration up the middle, which
is causing Josh Allen to hit those checkdowns. But if
you sorry, you know what I say? Yeah, yeah, so
Jared Goff, I just think that you go back to Detroit,
you take a clean look in the mirror, what worked,
(13:33):
what didn't? Okay, Jared, even though he's getting a tough situation,
high percentage wyse, he is getting a checkdowns. How do
you establish the run game? How do you minimize kind
of different looks and stuff like that make it simple
for the guys in the middle. Graham, he's a very
vocal guy. He's a guy similar to you will where
he's like always in his notebook, always has you know,
he's got his notebooks from five years ago. To go
back and look at the Bears and the same guys
that are on there.
Speaker 6 (13:53):
I like that.
Speaker 2 (13:54):
I like the Lions having a bounce back in this
one five and a half.
Speaker 1 (13:57):
And if you think about it too, like Bears are
going to have to run the football they're gonna have
any success. And are you taking the Bears running offense
or the Packers running offense? Like turn on the tape
of the lines like they are nice in the run game.
Those backers are good. Between Barnes, uh Angeloni and Campbell. Yeah,
Campbell is nice, bro, I will boy. Yeah, some white
(14:17):
white team guys out there flying around.
Speaker 3 (14:20):
I just don't think the Bears will be able to
do that.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
And then you got to put the game in the
hands of Caleb Williams with if you're on delaying side,
they're yelling, they're moving right now.
Speaker 2 (14:27):
I don't.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
I don't think you get out.
Speaker 7 (14:29):
Of there from last year. What he's doing.
Speaker 6 (14:30):
That's man, that's productive. And then that defense, they ain't
gonna be able to run the ball on that defense.
So we'll see what happens.
Speaker 2 (14:38):
I can't wait to revisit this.
Speaker 6 (14:40):
And honestly, you said that about the Chargers in fucking
Chiefs game.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Yeah, I think that was. Yeah, one of my two
losses last week. Would you that one in five?
Speaker 7 (14:54):
Yeah? One and five fourth quarter losses? I can't.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
We'll go.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Let's go Jags Bengals, Jacks Bengals. Right now, Jaguars are
at Cincinnati. Bengals are favored minus three and a half.
The over under on this game is forty nine.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
And a half. Taylor, Oh okay, sorry, anybody, anybody any
of them listen. I like to. I think the Jags
they look good. I think their game plan going into
Week one was nice. They did a good job of
complimenting the run with the pass. I love the jet sweep.
They took to the house over there in that like
gray area, fringerio red zone spot. Trevor Lawrence looks very comfortable.
(15:28):
Jordan Lewis is a corner, had a couple of nice snags.
They're doing a good job of turning over the football.
A big concern for a lot of people is Joe
Burrow in Week one and at fourteen for twenty three,
one hundred and thirteen yards in one touchdown is essentially
the same stat line against the Patriots Week one. I mean,
the offense does not do well. The only difference between
the Bengals last year is they ended up figuring out
a way to get a win on the road against
(15:50):
the Browns, which Joe Burrow went twenty one for twenty
nine hundred sixty four yards last year. Week two, he
plays Kansas City spags his defense and he goes twenty
three for thirty six two fifty eight and two touchdowns.
Jaggs I like where they're at. I like Cone. I
like that Douall. He seems like the quirkiness is kind
of playing a little bit similar to McDaniels did in
(16:12):
Miami early. But I like the Bengals getting a two
and zero start in this game.
Speaker 5 (16:18):
I got I got the Bengals as well. I mean,
when you base this off week one performance, the Jaguars
look better than Cincy. Like you had mentioned the run
game two hundred yards rush and Etn looking like his
former self twenty twenty two, twenty twenty three, Etn. It
was fun watching Travis Hunter. What they're gonna do getting
him the ball? I think it what six receptions didn't
do much as far as thirty three yards, but you
can tell he's electric. But Trevor Lawrence, you said he
(16:39):
was getting comfortable. I thought he was missing a few throws.
You look at his relationship with was it Brian Thomas junior?
Bro He had thirteen hundred yards last year with Mac Jones,
And when you put the stats of what he was
able to do with Trevor Lawrence, like, I just don't
see him clicking. I think they had between the two
with Brian Thomas Junior one reception for eleven yards, Like,
I don't know. In the Bank goes have a new
(17:00):
defense this year. They got a new defensive coordinator out
with the old end.
Speaker 4 (17:03):
With the two.
Speaker 5 (17:04):
They held the Browns to, you know around Let's see
forty nine yards on twenty four rush attempts.
Speaker 1 (17:09):
Two interceptions, Like on, the defense kind of won the game.
Speaker 5 (17:15):
The Browns, though, Browns Trevor Lawrence was the least pressure
quarterback in Week one. Tamar Stewart, he showed what he's
put of his potential in this first game. Trey Hendrickson,
I see there being a lot more pressure. I don't
know ETM is gonna have as much success going up
there to Sincy. And you look at just getting back
to the Bengals. The Cleveland Browns notoriously play the Bengals tough.
(17:38):
It's a divisional game. You can throw out expectations, money lines,
all that, but but a win is a win and
those and Burrow said it after the game, like those
were the games they were not winning last year. So
they go on the road, they get a tough, gritty win.
They did not play well by any means, sure a game.
You're right, they should have lost that game. But they're
(17:59):
one to zero and I think they get and they
make it two one o. After this week. I think
they shut down the Jags running game. They get pressure
on Trevor Lawrence, make them uncomfortable, and I think the
star power, the firepower on offense, I think they get
that passing attack going.
Speaker 6 (18:13):
Do you think I'm going Bengals as well on this game?
Speaker 7 (18:16):
I mean I follows alone.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Yeah, maybe the Jags three and a half. I think
the Jaguars, it's again, they're down in Jacksonville. I think
they're a team that won't be talked about, but to me,
they're like an under the radar AFC team, not saying
they're going to be some powerhouse because all they did
they beat up on the Panthers. We don't know if
the Panthers are going to have another bad year, but
(18:40):
their their line of scrimmage looks good. Travis Hunter is
gonna get more involved. I think Brian Thomas Junior is
gonna get his touches. I love Cohen working with Trevor Lawrence.
Speaker 3 (18:48):
I thought when I'm.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Watching the tape, I thought Trevor looked pretty comfortable.
Speaker 3 (18:52):
A couple misses, but it's it's not like overthrows.
Speaker 1 (18:55):
It's not like you got DJ Moore wide open going
to score a touchdown and calm just sales there. I
like an et n He's he was number two in
the league of this past week in Russia, and where
they're not touching him, he's getting about three yards before
he gets first contact and him even running through tackles.
I think Jaguars could be a team that's talked about
eventually in the AFC. If the Bengals win, I think
(19:15):
it's gonna be very close. I like Jacksonville plus three
and a half year. I like the Jags.
Speaker 2 (19:21):
It's a it's a it's a good argument because the defense.
The defense did win the game for the Bengals. But
like the two takeaways they had against Joe Flacco were
like receiver goes to catch the ball, bounces off the shoulder,
they catch it. It wasn't like you know they're they're tricking
and disguising into yard sale. Like Trevor Lawnce is gonna
have his opportunity against Al Golden's defense. He loves to
run a lot of man. You see it coming from
Notre Dame. So we'll see how comfortable he is because
(19:43):
when you run man allows you to bring a lot
of pressure. But uh like I like Joe Burrow week two.
And that's why that's.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Like you look at the stat Yeah, you look at
the box scorering stat line for Jamar Higgins, Joe, it's
not you know, it'll come at some point.
Speaker 3 (19:58):
I'm hoping not this week since I'm taking Jags.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
Yeah, you got a nice little thing up there, sitting
five and one and right.
Speaker 1 (20:05):
Yeah, and again just watching I watched the full Jags
game and they look kind of smooth.
Speaker 6 (20:10):
I mean, that delay fucked me. I had to get
away with that hour delay they had. Was like, okay,
did that play a part? Because what was it like
ten to three? And then they went on an hour delay,
came back and just starts spanking the Panthers.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
Of the Panthers not a whole They don't get a
whole lot of pressure. They don't. They're kind of spotty
on defense. Bryce Young is good. That he's bad, that
his bench and he's back, then it's good. It's like
a whole weird thing.
Speaker 6 (20:33):
Yeah, it's a.
Speaker 2 (20:34):
Whole weird thing. It's gonna be a fun week to
watch them. Quick break.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
This episode is also brought to you by Form Energy.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Form Energy, we do the work.
Speaker 2 (21:06):
Back to the episode, Uh, Buccaneers at Texans. Texans are
favored by.
Speaker 6 (21:12):
Two and a half, which is crazy.
Speaker 2 (21:13):
Will were you out on this one?
Speaker 1 (21:15):
Buccaneers Texans? I like the Texans. I like the Texans.
I love that defensive line that got stingling. The secondary
is gonna get going. You got CJ. Gardner Johnson at safety.
They'll get jail. And they struggled a little bit against
the Rams. That Stafford is unreal. I was watching that game.
Stafford with pressure in his face is unreal. Devontae Adams
had a couple drop balls. So I know we're not
(21:35):
talking about the Rams right now, but DeVante had a
couple drop boss to where I think the Rams will
be really nice this year. The pressure of the Texans.
You won't see it blowing up on the on the stats.
But as far as like beating defenders and beating the
offensive lineman, they were number two too. I believe the
Ravens all week long as far as beating the offensive
lineman not gonna show up on the stat sheet. I
(21:56):
think that defensive line is nice. And if you're the Bucks,
you're gonna have to be able to run the ball
with Bucky or me. I think Baker is gonna be
under a lot of pressure as he you know, as
he's running around trying to make plays happen back there.
I like the Texans. I think they'll get going on
offense because they struggled a little bit last week. I
think the Rams defense is really good. I like the
Texans here at home with to cover minus.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Soon and half. You know, worried about the offense on
the Texans side.
Speaker 7 (22:22):
A little bit, but again struggle.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
There was a part of me like when we're going
through the divisional picks that I'm like, you know, as
we're he was talking about Seattle, I might have been
saying like Niners, Cardinals, we weren't really talking about. But
the Rams defensively, that young defense them going into year two,
Like they made some plays last week to where I
think that they're going to be a good defense. So
a little worried just because CJ. Shroud kind of had
that sophomore slump last year. And will they get going,
(22:46):
will Chubb get going? How much is a missus mixing
him being on the sideline? But again them at home
against the Bucks. I thought the Bucks were a little
spotty last week against the Falcons. I just I like
the Texans in this spot.
Speaker 2 (22:58):
Yeah, if Crow makes a kick at the end of
the game, Falcons, Bucks, like we're talking about be talking
about a different.
Speaker 3 (23:02):
Results, right all right?
Speaker 2 (23:03):
I love I love a mecha muka though, and I
love Baker. I love sitting there in a two minute
and be able to slice up the defense and make
big X plays down the field. I think a lot
of times we look at Baker Mayfield, we don't sit.
We don't see a guy sitting in the pocket making deliberate,
accurate those all the time. A lot of times it's
making extending plays with his feet, waiting for coverage to
(23:23):
break down and then be able to take advantage of
the defense's mistakes. I love the energy of Baker Mayfield
and I might be drinking the week one kool it
of that singular drive and more looking at the box
score of the Texans Rams game. That gets me to
walk away a little bit. I am concerned about the
Houston Texans pressure, the ability to layah Daniel Hunter like
(23:45):
they they got them those a little squad. It's tough
to play in Houston early in the season when there's
a lot of optimism. Everybody and their mother thinks they're
gonna win the Ah South. I'm gonna take bucks plus
two and a half here. I think it's a very
very close game at the end, and a lot of
that is because of the extra between Muca and.
Speaker 6 (24:02):
Yeah, I'm gonna tell that too. Just that connection with
the rookie is crazy. They still got veteran receivers that
they didn't really he didn't connect with, which I feel
like this week they're gonna be talking about that, spreading
that ball around. But with the rookie making plays like
that with Baker, he is in the run game. I
think I'm gonna tell with Taylor no Cohen Cohen the
offense though that is true, that is.
Speaker 2 (24:23):
That is fair and true.
Speaker 5 (24:25):
I thought it was interesting that I'm taking the Texans
as well. I thought it was interesting rather than regurd
to everything you guys said. The quotes coming from CJ.
Stroud after the game. He talked about having a bad
week of practice. So their defense. I love their defense.
They're fast and physical. I mean, the Rams had no
answers for them in the first half until you know
Stafford and them hung around Pooka being a studd No,
we're not talking about the Rams here, but I see
(24:45):
them obviously scoring more than nine points this week. You know,
they need Joe Mixon back. I don't even know if
he's gonna show back up, you know, this season, but
they need to find a compliment to Nico Collins while
Kirk is out right now. But I got the Texans
winning this game. I think they they refocus. I think
their defense continues to fly around the field. I think
the reason why Baker had so much success in this
(25:08):
past game, especially on that last drive, it's just that
underwhelming Falcons defense. And this is completely different than the Falcons.
I don't think he's going to have anywhere near the
time he had last week. It was fun to watch,
and I think Baker should be mentioned in the same
breath as Burrow and Allen when you look at numbers.
But I don't think this one's going to be close.
I got Texans Baker top three quarterback, not top three.
(25:29):
I'm talking about numbers. I'm talking about numbers. Look at
his numbers. Number I'm talking about Look at his last
two years. He's got three offensive coordinators. He doesn't have
twisting Tristan Wurst out there, Chris Chris Godwin like, oh,
he's making it happen.
Speaker 4 (25:42):
Now they're still like.
Speaker 3 (25:45):
Tristan worse against his D line.
Speaker 5 (25:48):
Now there's still like a nine to ten win team
because they allow teams like the Falcons to to hang around.
Speaker 3 (25:52):
But there in the South.
Speaker 5 (25:53):
They're in the South. But this is I mean, we
still got him winning the South. I got him winning
the South.
Speaker 6 (25:57):
Yeah this game, yeah yeah.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
I mean that might be the worst division NFC South.
That's pretty tough.
Speaker 1 (26:05):
Should we go to Falcons at Vikings is a Sunday
night football right now, Vikings are favored minus four and
a half. The over under on this game is forty
five and a half. Who wants to take a stab
at this?
Speaker 5 (26:16):
We talked about Jay talking about I talked about it.
Speaker 2 (26:21):
I already talked about when we started breaking down the Bears,
I'm gonna take the Vikings. I'm taking minus four and
a half. There's something about in Kevin O'Connell week trust,
and it's something that just gives me really rocked up.
Is watching good situational football go down. And then when
you see the replay of that kigoff return with two
minutes and three seconds left in the game, and he's
looking over at the Silings to see Kevin O'Connell hitting
one of these, and then you see TJ Hawkins in
(26:41):
the back being like, yeah, fuck it, let's get one
of those going doing that and then bringing the clock
down to what was it fifteen seconds? That situational ball
is going to be imperative throughout the season as you're
breaking in this rookie quarterback. I love JJ McCarthy's first
half because of how good he was in the fourth quarter.
I love the fact that he was able to sit
essentially like every Vikings person on Twitter, every fan that's
(27:04):
his skull and does the upward clap before a game
set there and go, JJ McCarthy is not the guy
we lost, and we missed that pick a top at
the tenth pick overall, two years ago, where fucked this
team's over. This is the Packers and the lines that
take this division. I think a big one is the
Vikings defense is spicy. And then JJ is going to
take the success he had late in the game at
(27:25):
the end of the game, which is the most important
part of the game, and he's going to translate he's
going to translate that into Week two against like you said,
at underwhelming Falcons defense. So I got JJ cook it
up a little bit. I started he concerned a little
bit about Justin Jefferson when I'm seeing JJ in that game,
and I'm like, is Justin Jefferson like he's a star
and he wants his yards, he wants he's got all
(27:46):
the chains on, like you want your receiver to be
like that games and then all of a sudden and
you see JJ doing it, and it's like you see
the locker room after and Kevin o'conmoll goes, we knew
he'd figured it out eventually and throws in the ball
and JJ's got this fucking you know, Leonardo form wolf
wall Street. I'm not fucking leaving vibe about him. And
it's it's something that I can buy into It's easy
for me to buy into being a biased Michigan guy,
(28:07):
but I like the Vikings being a team you gotta
worry about it.
Speaker 5 (28:11):
I think that win changes the dynamic and changes the
belief in that locker room. Like you had said, so,
I think they go into this one going home. They
got the skull chant, they got the horn blowing, and
Falcons coming off a devastating loss. Yeah, give me the
Vikings minus four and a half. I do think it'll
be a high scoring affair though. I do think I
was really impressed with Michael Pennix. I think I thought
(28:33):
he played great against the Bucks. I mean, all his
out routes were phenomenal. He's able to make plays on
his feet. Bjeon Robinson didn't do a great deal in
the rush game, but in the passing game over one
hundred yards, had a touchdown. I'd like to see who
Zach Robinson their OC give him the ball more. I
think he was third and twenty twenty four and rush yards.
But ultimately, I think special teams is what let the
(28:54):
Falcons down last week. But I just think the Vikings
is going to be too much for the Falcons this week, and.
Speaker 2 (28:58):
Gotta keep it eye drink a lote it as well.
He heard Shoulder playing playing like I think, uh is
he not playing? I think he was limited participants.
Speaker 4 (29:07):
Spring shoulders questionable right now, questionable right now.
Speaker 8 (29:09):
He was out like the last like the two minute
drives or whatever the found he.
Speaker 1 (29:14):
Was not you know, is what they said, skin manish
spring of a little ac spring.
Speaker 2 (29:22):
You got that little rise and buddy on the side there.
Speaker 1 (29:24):
You got to get that lot of before the game
put it.
Speaker 2 (29:28):
I think I think Falcons are in good hands of Penix.
Speaker 3 (29:30):
I think they.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Wet pieces around him because he's nasty. You got to
open up those lanes a little bit in the run game,
Like you've got to give him the ball and he
can't just be your entire offense. It's really easy to
take a one dimensional team and be like we take
away this guy. We're putting ourselves in a position to win.
Speaker 6 (29:46):
They also got to get the tight end going to
the Falcons. They want to be successful.
Speaker 3 (29:50):
They got to go.
Speaker 1 (29:51):
They got him going a little bit more, got him
a little bit historically, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (29:56):
I said, Pitts has got going a little bit more. Yeah,
compared to what.
Speaker 2 (29:59):
You've said from him historically isn't Pitt's running more of
like a wide receiver kind of thing now, Like he's
not really.
Speaker 8 (30:05):
He was like running like practicing with the wide receivers
during training camp.
Speaker 2 (30:10):
Yeah, let's take this extremely athletic tight end and make
him a giant wide.
Speaker 7 (30:16):
Yeah, he's more of a split guy.
Speaker 2 (30:18):
Yeah, they need more. They have the ball he does have.
He does have the raw talent.
Speaker 7 (30:22):
Got to give him the ball.
Speaker 6 (30:23):
But I said Vikings, obviously, I'm gonna take the Vikings here.
Speaker 7 (30:27):
I just what, JJ? Did you know? I was one
of those guys.
Speaker 6 (30:30):
Sitting at at home like, damn, JJ, may he may
not be it.
Speaker 7 (30:35):
I feel sorry for Taylor. You know, I'm literally thinking
like that.
Speaker 2 (30:38):
Like while I was in your thoughts.
Speaker 7 (30:40):
Yeah, but you know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
It was twenty two years old. I'm thirty four.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
Man.
Speaker 6 (30:46):
I just know people was gonna rip you up in
the comments. But he showed up, you know what I mean.
It was his first game playing in Chicago. I was like, God, damn,
this is gonna be tough on But the guy, you know,
like you said, he came back out. He was relentless.
He finish the game, and that's what you want to
see from a young quarterback, and I think he's going
to be able to do it against the.
Speaker 7 (31:06):
Falcons.
Speaker 6 (31:07):
So I'm taking Vikings four and a half.
Speaker 1 (31:10):
I think I like the Falcons with the points. I
think the Vikings win. It'll be a close game. It's
like I'm sitting here, It's like, could we be getting
too much in the high drinking the kool leade of
the emotional win over potentially another underwhelming Bears team?
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Whereas and then you look at the Falcons.
Speaker 1 (31:28):
If my man hits that field goal at the end, ku,
will we be talking about a different Falcon. You lose
a close game like that, obviously, it wears on you
as a player. You're itching to get out there. You know,
nobody's expecting you to win this game because everybody got
to watch JJ McCarthy kind of come back in that
second half with the Vikings.
Speaker 3 (31:46):
Could we be buying in a little too much with that?
Speaker 2 (31:49):
Did?
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Did the Falcons lose a very close game to a
good Buccaneers team? So I'm gonna take the Falcons with
the points plus four and a half against Gon road,
going at Minnesota on the road.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
Yeah, you say, could we total a little much like
hand up I think I am right. Like I looked
at it, I kind of was too.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
I was I was going Falcons before we started this
whole conversation. I'm just sitting there.
Speaker 1 (32:11):
Yeah, I was thinking Falcons, Vikings, Vikings as we started
this conversation. But it's like, yeah, Pennix looks good, Robinson
is a dog. Hopefully drake Lynn is playing, That's one
thing you definitely want to keep an eye on if
he's out. Hopefully the line goes a little bit more
of the Falcons way, but Drake Lynn and Kyle Pitts
are getting him going a lot more defensively, Like, yeah,
(32:31):
I guess that's that will depends.
Speaker 2 (32:34):
And the Bears defense, they got some studs over there.
And the thing that worries you, like one play in
particular that I was like, this is before had his
big comeback. Kevin Byard runs on the line of scrimmage
and you hear it's like JJ's in his cadence and
he goes why Eddy, And then he sees Kevin Byard.
No one the offensive line says a word, he doesn't
(32:55):
say a word. They run, the play comes off the edge,
you gets to TfL. It's like, do they know what
they're doing over there. Are they communicating? They should be right,
And I think that's one of those games where Kevin
gets to sit there because I do think he's an
outstanding leader. I think a franchise in general, the Minnesota
is extremely well run franchise. Everybody talks about like how
great the ownership is from top to bottom, and I
(33:17):
think Kevin gets those things figured out. Where he looks
at his off it's a line, looks at your captain,
your right tackle O'Neil, and goes, listen, you need to
be more vocal on the line of scrimmage. Let's get
a couple of guys to help JJ with protection. Take
a little office plate so we can get him to
do what we saw him do late in that fourth quarter.
Speaker 6 (33:30):
I mean, because that was the first look I think
I saw of them doing that rotation.
Speaker 7 (33:34):
If Kevin coming down on the head.
Speaker 2 (33:36):
It's like they telegraphed it, like they hit it very
much like they brought the safety back over there. Kevin
Meyer down there, and it's like you got, at the
very least say something, and you're not too deep in
the cadence where you like kind of have to be
quiet for somebody will jump off sides and that was
like really concerned. Then the turnaround happens. Yeah, they'd get
me the kool aid. They'd make it extra sweet and drink.
Speaker 5 (33:55):
Real quick little nuggets for you. So the Falcons last
five games is underdog. Not only have they not won,
they have not covered and the Vikings and wins one
loss in one score games over the last two seasons.
Speaker 6 (34:10):
I may switch my pet to the Falcons.
Speaker 9 (34:14):
I may I may switch my to me if Vikings win,
it's going to be it's going to be a close game.
I think that that that for I think that four
and a half is is that slot.
Speaker 2 (34:26):
You feel if it was at like two and a
half three and a half, you would change it. It feels
at two and a half, I think I do VI
you like that three point.
Speaker 3 (34:32):
I love that, Like if.
Speaker 2 (34:33):
You're sitting there at three point two and a half
is like yeah, if.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
It's like Vikings are favored by three and a half,
like I'm getting you know, I'm spending the money, I'm
getting the extra point to moving down to two and
a half. But with the four and a half sitting there,
it's like any given Sunday, you.
Speaker 2 (34:47):
Know it's going on the road.
Speaker 7 (34:48):
I'm actually going to change my bed to the Falcons.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
I know, I don't know if I like that twenty.
Speaker 10 (34:57):
Twenty three National championship too, between Pennis and McCarthy. That
turned out, and you think that do you think that
plays any like that's.
Speaker 3 (35:06):
With them individually? Maybe with Penis more.
Speaker 7 (35:08):
Than Yeah, worried about that.
Speaker 2 (35:14):
Cute ass, little baby face, but they called him leader
of men. I'm thinking that little face, Yeah, well we
got up. It's like, what you what you're doing out here?
But apparently around this kid and they're like, this is
our on his chest. I'm thinking this dude's twelve.
Speaker 10 (35:33):
How they reacted when they gave him the game ball.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I love O'Connell, dude, I love them. Monday Night Football,
two teams coming off of big wins. Chargers are at
the Raiders. Raiders just defeated the Patriots. Chargers went down
to Brazil and beat the kids the Chiefs. Raiders are
favored away at minus three.
Speaker 8 (35:51):
Will hold on the Raiders your favorite in this game?
Speaker 2 (35:55):
Chargers, you know the brain I'm over you.
Speaker 1 (36:00):
Raiders are dogs at home with three points.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (36:08):
Max Crosby licking his chops.
Speaker 3 (36:13):
I like the Raiders.
Speaker 1 (36:14):
I can't fully tell you why outside of Chip Kelly's
offense is going to continue to develop and get better
with Gino Smith, they have some protection issues. They got
to do a better job around the football with Ash
and Genty. I'm like me, I'm like, I'm betting that
those things will happen, going from week one watching the tape,
watching how messy it can be.
Speaker 3 (36:34):
But Gino can sling it. I like him in that
offense with Chip Kelly. Is Bowers?
Speaker 2 (36:40):
Where's he at? Carrol said that he wanted to go
back at the.
Speaker 7 (36:49):
Game and he's going to play.
Speaker 2 (36:52):
He's going to play.
Speaker 7 (36:55):
I think he's playing for I.
Speaker 3 (36:58):
Like the Raiders. Cross be just getting Devin white.
Speaker 6 (37:03):
Man over that Chargers defense.
Speaker 3 (37:05):
So I know, I know trusting. This is a tough one. Yeah,
but I'm gonna give me the Raiders.
Speaker 6 (37:12):
And this is like a fucking battle Raiders in the
fucking Chargers Hativisional. Its close.
Speaker 7 (37:18):
It's gonna be a tough one.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
Man, I give me the Raiders.
Speaker 5 (37:22):
I'm taking the Chargers here, Yeah, but I am impressed
with the Raiders. Complimentary football, offense, defense, special teams. You
saw this Patriots game against the Patriots, Like they won
their third downs, they won their red zone. I'm thinking
this is gonna be you know how Pete ran Marshan
and they couldn't. I mean, you know, you gotta tip
your cap to the Patriots in their run game. But
(37:43):
this was shut it down Gino Smith on the road,
rainy conditions, three hundred and sixty two yards, seventy efficiency,
Like I didn't see that coming. So I was so
impressed with that. They had an instant connection with Rock
Bowers over one hundred yards. Man Kelly, I think Chip
Kelly's the MVP here. He had some beautifully schemed passes
boys just coming wide.
Speaker 1 (38:04):
Onto they reloaded the formational after motioning and shifting everywhere.
Speaker 7 (38:10):
I'm with you.
Speaker 5 (38:11):
I think the Raiders win some divisional games this year.
Speaker 4 (38:16):
I really do.
Speaker 5 (38:17):
If at the end of the year you tell me
they beat the Broncos, the Chiefs and the Chargers once,
like I buy it.
Speaker 6 (38:23):
But it's not this week.
Speaker 7 (38:27):
You're seeing it.
Speaker 3 (38:29):
I know because I remember myself, Oh wait, he went Chargers.
Speaker 5 (38:33):
That's right, justin Herbert, like I apological, like Shaq did
that one time, Like I just was not familiar with
his game like that, like him and Josh Allen just
being able to put the ball wherever they It was remarkable.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
And then.
Speaker 5 (38:48):
When I had I picked the Chiefs, I lost that game,
you know, versus the Chargers, and I was afraid of
the Chargers offensive line.
Speaker 4 (38:54):
Joe Alt looked great, possibly better.
Speaker 7 (38:58):
He's later at that game.
Speaker 2 (39:00):
I don't know if he's gonna get He played left
tackle Dame like he Chargers because he did not want
to play right.
Speaker 3 (39:07):
He didn't want to play over the right.
Speaker 2 (39:09):
Don't jump back and forth, back and forth against the
third the third generations, respect disrespect. I thought he I
thought he had a nice little game too. He did
against the Chargers. I mean, I think both offensive lines
for the most part pretty well.
Speaker 3 (39:27):
Max a different animal, matches a different.
Speaker 7 (39:33):
And everything.
Speaker 4 (39:34):
He's the only one the problem.
Speaker 1 (39:39):
I know it's it's a reach, but I'm trying to
get more Jews for we do need more on that
defensive side than Max Cross because he is the only
guy pressure in the quarterback.
Speaker 2 (39:50):
I think there's an internal struggle going on with the
Raiders offense that people might not be privy to because
of the explosive plays they had on the offensive side
of the ball. Pete Carroll traditionally likes to be under center.
He likes to establish the run game in a big way.
And you have three offensive linemen in the middle of
that Raiders' offense that when you watch the film, you
put up basic, basic gap scheme stuff, and the Patriots
had to move the line a couple move their defensive
(40:12):
front a few times and really put them in a blender.
They started mixing in their their run stunts. They brought it,
brought five guys, and they weren't able to push that
line of scrimmage. And a lot of that is Ashton
Genty missed a couple holes, but a lot of it
was the interior that office line couldn't get movement and
couldn't get solidified in their double teams. So now you
got Gino Smith and Chip Kelly who want to kind
of be in that shotgun hand the ball off from
(40:33):
that way, you utilize the play action. But there's also
four coaches on that coaching staff that are offensive line coaches.
To me's, it might become one of those things where
you see kind of a glaring issue that's pouring in
front of you in the middle of that interior offensive line,
and there might be too many chefs in the kitchen
of how they should fix those types of things. Jesse
Mintor's defense in the Chargers, I think they play sound,
(40:53):
great defense. They got Derwin James in the back end
protecting them. They got Khalil Mack bud dupre teer Tart
which teammate tier teams like you have to play three
STAPs this game. He'll be all world like he's going
to push the middle of that defense and get the
pocket condensed from uh the interior standpoint. Those guys around
(41:14):
the edge or might have themselves a little bit of
a field day, especially pressure of the left left tackle Colton.
I like the Chargers coming out in the game against
the Chiefs and everyone their mother's like, they're gonna hand
to Hampton, the Hampton. They're going to hand it to
mister fourth of Joy himself, Najie Harris. And they come
out and they sling the ball. They flipped the script
on everybody, and they use the Chiefs offense against the
(41:35):
Chiefs and put spags in an absolute blender. They look
great all day long. Johnson TCU wide receiver, he has
himself too touchdowns. Spicy about the Chargers, and I think
there's some holes or cracks in the foundation of that
Raiders offense that maybe didn't come out of the fold
because they were playing a lesser opponent, a lesser talented
team in the Patriots. That's the issue. The Patriots a
(41:57):
gonna have to be a team that rushed five consistently
to get pushed in the quarterback caroliny is two and
a half sacks, but hard fought. One of them was unblocked.
Like he's he's a guy, but if only have one
guy rue I like the Chargers.
Speaker 4 (42:11):
Shout out veteran receivers.
Speaker 5 (42:12):
Someone had mentioned Keenan Allen last, Like that's just a
nice name you throw in there. Targeted ten times with
seven receptions, sixty eight yards, one touchdown. DeAndre Hopkins for
the Ravens AH.
Speaker 2 (42:26):
Banned bills forever gives him the punch.
Speaker 4 (42:29):
Shout out the vets out.
Speaker 6 (42:32):
I'm taking charges, you know. Jim Harball, that's my guy.
Love what he's doing with the Chargers, turning that whole
system around, justin being a stud. Top five, top five.
Speaker 1 (42:44):
Maybe I'm not seeing the board at all, who knows,
or maybe that five and one. So there's three games
right now where it's three to one, just like that
that the Raiders one is the one I'm like most
uncomfortable about.
Speaker 6 (42:56):
You always the Raiders, though I don't always.
Speaker 2 (42:59):
People were concerned about Gentine. He did have like rookie mistakes,
but there weren't a lot of holes for him to
clearly like you saw when he got the ball. He
didn't seem like the confidence he saw at Boise State,
which will come with like repetition, but there's a there's
a couple of like blocking errors with that offensive line
that like, oh, you're not putting your rookie running back
in a position to be successful right now. And you
(43:19):
can see it's kind of playing up here a little
bit in his head.
Speaker 7 (43:21):
He kind of guess instead of knowing who to go to.
Speaker 2 (43:24):
I mean, chick Kelly is a stunt. I just think
there might be a little feud at the top about
how many times you should be under center.
Speaker 4 (43:31):
Yeah, now, Pete brought this, He brought Chip in right.
Speaker 5 (43:35):
State for a long time time. I don't think he's
going to I respect your opinion. I just don't think
he's gonna bring in anybody who is not on the
same page.
Speaker 3 (43:43):
Seventy years old.
Speaker 2 (43:44):
They see the whole phrase, can't teach you the old
dog neutri.
Speaker 4 (43:46):
Every they to have battles.
Speaker 3 (43:47):
You know.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
When I was at the Seed, Chip was at Oregon,
so like they got to be I.
Speaker 6 (43:53):
Mean sometimes I feel like those coaches. When you have
a coach like Chip, you kind of gotta let him
be him, you know what I mean. They discuss certain things,
but at the end of the day, I think he like,
here go the rings, ride his horse, you know what
I'm saying. And if if I feel like I gotta
talk to you about something, he gonna talk to him
about it.
Speaker 7 (44:12):
That's you know, that's Pete.
Speaker 2 (44:14):
I mean, Chips had success in the NFL. Folks on
the offense, Yeah, the many start getting little joker of power,
start taking over. The rocks, started freaking out a little bit, start.
Speaker 7 (44:26):
To get out of here.
Speaker 6 (44:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Is that True Classic? True Classic.

Club and Target nationwide, or online at true classic dot com.
Slash busting, look good, feel good, play good. Back to

Fitch just right. This is True Classics Game of the Week.
Crawl to us by True Classic. We got the Philadelphia
(45:15):
Eagles at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl rematch. Eagles
are favored right now. Chiefs are dogs at home. Eagles
are favored minus one and a half. The over under
on this game is forty six and a half.
Speaker 6 (45:29):
That's six and a half.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
Just fucking This a must win for the Chiefs. Yeah,
this a must win for the Chiefs.
Speaker 6 (45:36):
The line changed, did it? Yeah?
Speaker 2 (45:39):
What's going on?
Speaker 7 (45:41):
You said?
Speaker 6 (45:41):
Six and one and a half? Oh six six and
a half.
Speaker 2 (45:50):
A bunch of football players. They get a lot of
heads sitting on stage. One and one numbers are exactly
y'all not seeing the urgency. I see the Chiefs.
Speaker 3 (46:01):
This is a must win for the Chiefs.
Speaker 4 (46:03):
It's must win that they are not going to do.
Speaker 11 (46:05):
They're not going to win. They must win that they
will not win. Listen, you know, I'm all in on
the Chiefs. Picked them when the Super Bowl. I picked
them the we win Week one. But the Eagles, especially
after Week one, are the more complete team.
Speaker 4 (46:19):
But I'm not, like, let's.
Speaker 1 (46:20):
Forget are they Are they going to be able to
be disciplined enough to win this game?
Speaker 3 (46:24):
About eleven.
Speaker 2 (46:27):
Going on?
Speaker 5 (46:27):
He coming back and find no suspension coming back. I'm
just saying, we saw what happened in the Super Bowl.
I know it's a separate season, a lot of moving
parts and whatnot, but Chiefs did a good job shutting
down the run of the Eagles. They opened up the
past game whereas you saw in Week one, Dallas did
a great job doing the same. But Jalen Hurts kind
of took it upon himself efficient ran two touchdowns, I
(46:51):
believe ran two. Yeah, ran two, win himself, say Kwan
had another one. I look for them to air it
out like they did in the Super Bowl, trying to
establish that passing game if they can't get the run
game going. But I just think they're a more complete
team from offensive line. I worry about the pass rush
from the Chiefs. I thought the Chiefs pass rush between
Chris Jones and Carloftus was going to eat against the Chargers,
(47:12):
and I was wrong. And anytime they did get pressure,
it was you know, bringing tranquil or something like that.
But we put Herbert on. Herbert was on the edge,
made some amazing plays with his feet. I just don't
see the Chiefs defense stacking up with Philly's offense.
Speaker 4 (47:28):
Now I love Mahomes.
Speaker 5 (47:29):
I mean, he looks so impressive in the second quarter,
but really the second half of that game, the way
he's able to get the ball out so quick, I
think he's the ultimate wildcard. I wouldn't be surprised if
the Chiefs pulled out. It's going to because of him.
But I got the egles just being the more complete team.
Speaker 3 (47:43):
I don't disagree.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
There's a big part of me that's wanting to take
the Chiefs on this game, just because again, over the
last thirty five years, thirty five years of data, and
you want some delany data right now, teams that start
zero to two you have an eighty seven and a
half percent chance of not making the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (48:04):
And if you look at the chief schedule.
Speaker 2 (48:06):
Would have been better if you did the lower no
go ahead.
Speaker 8 (48:11):
Thirteen.
Speaker 2 (48:12):
If you start offs are not making the playoffs.
Speaker 1 (48:17):
You start off oing to your chases and making the
playoffs an underwhelming thirteen and a half percent.
Speaker 2 (48:23):
Twelve and a half percent get and they look at
their next eight games.
Speaker 1 (48:29):
The Chiefs are going to see the Ravens, the Commanders,
the Bills, the Broncos, the Lions, and you know I
picked the Jags early on. The Jags are also going
to be seeing the Jags. But if they don't win
this game, they are not making the playoffs. To me,
this is a must win for the Chiefs. I think
they know that their defense didn't show up very well
last week. But I love to see the veteran leadership
going back and forth at the end of the game.
(48:50):
Trank Will trying to check Chris Jones are kind of
arguing a little bit. They know they got to get right.
SPACs their team, their assholes are tight. They have to
get right this week. And you know they got a
bad taste in their mouth with how they just got
ran out of the game at the Super Bowl.
Speaker 3 (49:03):
So I'm going to take the Chiefs.
Speaker 2 (49:07):
Wow, I'm gonna.
Speaker 1 (49:08):
Take the Chiefs because this is a must win situations
we made today that were again we're all on the
same page and Will Will is going to be right.
Speaker 2 (49:15):
This week on that pick. You switched almost all of
my picks that we were three on one, which was
most of the board. Because for you to bend the
need of the Chiefs not been in the knee, because
that sounds like I'm insulted.
Speaker 3 (49:29):
I got them.
Speaker 2 (49:31):
I can't.
Speaker 3 (49:31):
I can't not have the Chiefs. Like the conversation.
Speaker 5 (49:36):
I hope the Chiefs win. I think it's good for football.
I hope the Chiefs win makes it.
Speaker 2 (49:41):
Football is better when the Chiefs are good. Is that
what you're saying.
Speaker 4 (49:46):
Swifties are on board.
Speaker 1 (49:47):
Yeah, and for people that hate it, you need the
enemy alive and well they lose this game, chiefs are dead.
Speaker 6 (49:53):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (49:53):
I had the swiftiest come at me earlier this week,
the swift the swiftiest came to game Speak. Tear Tart
posted a photo and he said something I'm sure from
a rap song, and I just posted, like, you know
you gave it, you slept the shit at a travel
dang you posted that No like gars comment, Oh swifty
comes because I knew they were coming for his head
(50:14):
saw my comment and they go, how dare you call
him a friend? Travis a friend? Like, how would you
say this about him? They don't like it, And I'm
just thinking, this thing's got like three million impressions and
all the way. So I am a little hesitant to
go against the Chiefs. But then I look at Jaylen Carter,
I look at Spickett, I look at how that lone
was eight and a half, and I started to think
to myself, like, the Cowboys did a good job of
establishing the run in that game, and we're like mostly
(50:36):
protected in the past. It's like Jalen Carter could have
been the reason why that line the Cowboys have not
covered that eight and a half. Jalen Carter's back, I'm
sure you know. However, he wants to go about it
in his way in that locker room. He knows the
best way to make it up to his team is
to have a massive game. We're teammates at AJ Brown.
He gets targeted three times. Yeah, I think he's like
(50:57):
six yards receiving. I don't know his exact stats, but
for the most part he was non existing during the game.
And I know that Siriani knows exactly what we know,
and it's like, you need to get aj the brown
early and often. Let's turn him up a little bit.
Speaker 3 (51:09):
That's going to be a great job on the secondary.
Speaker 7 (51:13):
The Cowboys played great.
Speaker 3 (51:17):
They played good to where you can't just force it.
Speaker 2 (51:19):
They got a little late and not spying, uh, not
spying Jalen Hurts.
Speaker 3 (51:23):
Because that's really all came down. What it came down to.
Speaker 2 (51:25):
Was, yeah, you he has one or two reads and
then he's like, let me just make some of my
feet quick, which I think Satt is going to do
a much better job. But like the defense incredible. I
think the only thing you look at after week one
is a Dorri Jackson like are they going to come
out of Dory Jackson? A little more like do they
have the pieces? With Xavier Worthy being hurt to come
at him, Travis was a little long in the tooth.
They run zone. He's going to find that little soft
(51:47):
spot in the zone. He's gonna be able to get
his catches if there's a break in the defense like
the Charger show late in the game, Travis Skilsey is
going to have that catch and be able to have
a sixty five yard touchdown. But they don't. Yeah, Hollywood,
Brown Rice.
Speaker 7 (52:01):
Still suspended.
Speaker 2 (52:02):
He's still suspended. So it's like there's not a whole
lot of options. And Pacheco, as hard as he runs,
like it's a the run game is more of an
appetizer for the Chiefs. They want to win the game
through there, and I just don't feel like with Xavier
being out, I just feel like the Chiefs have a
lot of backed up against them. It's a fect time
to go Chiefs. But I'm just gonna take the better
(52:22):
roster and the Super Bowl defending champions situation. I'm gonna
go with the Eagles.
Speaker 6 (52:26):
Yeah, I'm saying I'm the Eagles. I just I don't
know if the Chiefs are gonna be able to stop
the Eagles. Like like he said, we gotta get aj
Brown the ball. We gotta get Smith the ball. They
didn't touch the ball really last week. I think that's
gonna be a focused point, putting the ball in the air,
making our play bakers make plays, because you know what
Jellen can do. Like I said, MVP, this year, the
man is going to control the game. If he can't
(52:48):
pass the ball, they can't run it. He gonna put
it in his hands and he's gonna get an end zone.
We saw him getting there twice. They was three for
three in the red zone. And that's what you want
from a team once they get down in there and
the money zone, that's what we used to call and
getting that money so Eagles.
Speaker 2 (53:03):
Just as an offensive lineman, I do want to give
a shout out to Josh Simmons, like that thirty second
overall pick from Ohio State. Kid looks nice.
Speaker 7 (53:11):
Oh yeah, kid looks nice.
Speaker 2 (53:12):
And that's all I want to say about that. I
just want to go out there give flowers. Give flowers
to a young buck who's protecting the blindside. For Patrick Mahomes,
I just think he did a great job standing up
in Brazil Week one. Yeah good.
Speaker 6 (53:26):
He had three off sides though he did pretty well,
but he did have some off side To.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Me when I'm watching, when I'm watching the rookies play
his first NFL game in a neutral site like Brazil,
every single person in that stadium is wearing a different jersey.
It's loud, obnoxious. Like I'm not so worried about the penalties.
I want to see, like, what's the products you put
on the field when the penalties didn't happen. I thought
he did.
Speaker 7 (53:47):
Yeah. Yeah, did he give up? He didn't give up.
Speaker 2 (53:50):
No, No, he did not. He looked he looked kind
of nicey.
Speaker 3 (53:53):
It's a tough game for the Chiefs to give support. Yeah, no,
I hear you.
Speaker 2 (53:58):
It's a good move. I just want the Swifties. No,
I love Travis, honestly, the swift from the Bills and
from Love y'all, the Swifties, Like.
Speaker 6 (54:07):
Can we be honest? I can't do this, I'm not,
But honestly, do you think the Swifties love y'all?
Speaker 3 (54:13):
I think something swiftiest do.
Speaker 6 (54:14):
Yeah, I don't think.
Speaker 2 (54:16):
I think the Internet Travis. They would absolutely love us.
The ones that do.
Speaker 6 (54:21):
Yeah, the ones I mean I saw a picture of
y'all and that the comments were just.
Speaker 2 (54:25):
Fucking can't be too focused on coming.
Speaker 6 (54:27):
Okay, I'm just like.
Speaker 3 (54:30):
Them, because the ones who like it's in there.
Speaker 7 (54:33):
You know what you mean by what's happening?
Speaker 1 (54:34):
The loud minority, Like the loud minority is the loud No,
we're talking about the swift fan.
Speaker 7 (54:40):
You don't think it's black people know?
Speaker 5 (54:42):
Yeah, I'm sure there's something the minority of the minority.
Speaker 3 (54:50):
Those those they're part of the beehive.
Speaker 2 (54:53):
That's beyonest.
Speaker 6 (54:54):
Yeah yeah, yeah, no, but no, I don't think they
got the same crowd though. The Swifties are like kids.
I would say, twenty five watch.
Speaker 11 (55:02):
Watch, I'm just telling you show the twenty five and watching.
Speaker 1 (55:08):
And then when we was at the draft, we was
at the draft. This is a white mother is checking
me about the stuff. It's because it's because her daughter there.
Speaker 6 (55:20):
So she's brought in when they got it wasn't when
they got to take their daughters to these concerts they
get brought in. They started getting all hyped up, like,
oh I love this now.
Speaker 2 (55:29):
But ten years old when Taylor swis first single, Tim
McGrath comes out and she was a star from that moment,
she's been in the game. I'm thirty four now, she's
been the game for nineteen years.
Speaker 6 (55:37):
Yeah, so correct. Then the Swift like, I'm a Swifties
talking ben to Swifty concerts. When I'm there, it's kids. Yeah,
I got daughters, come on, come on, I'm in the crowd.
Speaker 2 (55:50):
At the Boy's Parlay. It's the boys Swifty Parlay with
Taylor Swift.
Speaker 3 (55:56):
Course they should love it, love us, but just like yeah, he.
Speaker 2 (56:00):
Know, based on how big the wedding is, that will
and I get that wedding.
Speaker 7 (56:03):
I doubt that because I you know, I saw.
Speaker 2 (56:04):
That almost clip it to the Travis.
Speaker 7 (56:06):
I seen it.
Speaker 6 (56:07):
I saw. I'm just out of pit. There was like
these Trump supporters. It was all fucking Taylor Swift fans.
Speaker 2 (56:13):
People want to take things at face value. They see
someone we interviewed and they want to think.
Speaker 6 (56:16):
Of course, I get it too, I'm part of that. Yeah, no, yard, Yeah,
I'm part of that. I get it too. I'm like, whoa,
I wasn't even in the interview.
Speaker 2 (56:28):
Just watch.
Speaker 10 (56:30):
According to chat Et, Taylor Swift's demographic is eighteen to
thirty four.
Speaker 5 (56:34):
Not kids, eighteen to thirty four, young young professional adults.
Speaker 7 (56:37):
That's the fucking Internet saying that.
Speaker 6 (56:39):
I'll get into the Yeah, you can't think.
Speaker 2 (56:45):
That you was your statistics.
Speaker 7 (56:49):
Uh, nineteen seventy two.
Speaker 8 (56:53):
I don't even know if that's.
Speaker 2 (56:56):
I think the nineteen seventy five and that's a band. Yeah,
I like that Blank's face.
Speaker 7 (57:01):
I like that.
Speaker 6 (57:02):
Man.
Speaker 7 (57:02):
No, it's nineteen eighty two, ain't it.
Speaker 6 (57:04):
It's nineteen eighty nine, Yeah, nineteen eighty nine.
Speaker 2 (57:08):
Nineteen eighty nine irrelevant I just I just like that song.
She was born, bro.
Speaker 6 (57:13):
I know.
Speaker 2 (57:15):
He was born birthday next week, next week.
Speaker 6 (57:18):
I like that song.
Speaker 7 (57:19):
It's a good song.
Speaker 2 (57:21):
Hey by her old stuff. I love our song.
Speaker 7 (57:24):
Her old So.
Speaker 4 (57:26):
You don't like it, I just don't know it's too dark.
Speaker 2 (57:29):
I am. I still live in the era of two
thousand and three through two thousand and five. I still
listen to some forty.
Speaker 4 (57:36):
One John Yeah, I can get that Atlanta wrap.
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Yeah. Bet the boys parlay, Bet the Boy's parlay.
Speaker 1 (57:42):
We got so many time touchdown winners for you that
were putting into a parlay.
Speaker 3 (57:45):
The odds are not out just yet, not a fan duel.
Speaker 1 (57:48):
They will be, but they will be, and they will
be before they before the Thursday night football game, because
we got a touchdown.
Speaker 3 (57:54):
Clay's got a touchdown for you. Coming around the gate.
Speaker 5 (57:57):
They're telling me, I can't pick Josh Jacobs on Thursday night,
but he has. But for anybody out there who would
like to bet this on their own, on their own,
Josh Jacobs has scored a touchdown a nine consecutive games.
Now you know Matt Lafloor is thinking about that. It's
not like Josh Jacmes is some charity case. You know,
he's rushing for twelve thirteen hundred yards whatever it was
last year.
Speaker 4 (58:16):
So I like that.
Speaker 5 (58:17):
But as far as bet the boys, they're saying, hey, Clay,
you can't do that.
Speaker 4 (58:21):
I like, you can't do that, Clay.
Speaker 2 (58:27):
That's your boy.
Speaker 4 (58:28):
Yeah, that's the question of your boy, Clay, you can't
do that.
Speaker 6 (58:32):
That's me.
Speaker 4 (58:34):
Jalen Hurts to score his third touchdown of.
Speaker 7 (58:36):
The year, that's my guy.
Speaker 6 (58:37):
I like that guy.
Speaker 2 (58:38):
Great guy. Oh what he's got.
Speaker 5 (58:47):
I think Chiefs you're gonna play him touch or to
excuse me, uh you know down in the red zone.
I think he's gonna do what he did last week.
He'll make something happen. He'll score.
Speaker 2 (58:56):
Your pick makes me hate my pick? Yeah, same, your
pick makes me hate my You have the same call
in front of your face as me. Who you got
right here at Taylor By listen, I'll have to change mine,
you go, I'm gonna change my mind. They scored last week.
I know they both scored last week. But again Spags
(59:16):
defense at home, Chiefs will turning the page and being
like all of a sudden for the Chiefs, like there's
a lot of things in my head that I have
to now check in my brain because, yeah, sa Quon
Barkley anytime touchdown sounds fantastic. But now I got anytime
touchdown Jalen Hurts anytime touch on Barkley, I love it.
I would hate to take a parlay and be like,
you got to make sure that these two guys in
the same game do it from the same time.
Speaker 1 (59:37):
Javonte Williams Cowboys want to run the football. They did
a pretty good job of it last week. Yes, Jalen
Carter was not playing on the other side of the
line of scrimmage. But I like Davonte Williams. He got
in the end zone twice last week. He also got
fifteen touches, had a lot of success. Give me Javonte
Williams with the Dallas Cowboys.
Speaker 6 (59:54):
That running game was sweet. I had him to sweet
for some reason. I guess the whole start getting the
better picks. But I'm gonna let that slide. Yeah, anybody
have any great Poupon Robinson, Baby, that's who I'm taking.
Speaker 2 (01:00:10):
That's who I'll take.
Speaker 7 (01:00:14):
You feel me. I'm rolling down the window like.
Speaker 6 (01:00:18):
In the end zone. Yeah, I like that, so uh
he gonna get in there for sure. The man was great.
They need to run the ball more. Yes, he got
an zone with the passing yards, but I want to
see them handing that ball off to this dude.
Speaker 7 (01:00:30):
And let I forgot Vikings, the.
Speaker 2 (01:00:33):
Vikings he likes high spring game and Danie Walker's mind.
Possibly everything, it's possibly I've molded over, I've talked about.
I'm going to go with my eye. Time touchdown is
going to be Lamar Jackson versus the Browns. I like
Lamar Jackson. Why not just got better? They've gotten better?
Speaker 6 (01:00:55):
This year's gonna say why not just.
Speaker 2 (01:00:57):
Any because here's why I did it. Last week? It
hit and yeah, like there's no guarantees in life other
than death. But I will say Derek Henry is a
close second to that.
Speaker 6 (01:01:06):
That boy looked a good other than the fumble. Derek
looked again.
Speaker 2 (01:01:10):
Absolutely, Oh my god, he's not slowing down anytime. If
you're a Titans fan, like, don't watch him the Ravens play, Yeah, don't, Yeah,
take your eyes off the screen.
Speaker 6 (01:01:19):
I mean the stiff or him on the first touchdown?
Speaker 4 (01:01:21):
Did the Titans get rid of him?
Speaker 2 (01:01:23):
You want to talk all about all about numbers, baby,
it's all about numbers. No, I refused to play football
after this.
Speaker 7 (01:01:29):
Henry, it's about this.
Speaker 4 (01:01:31):
They didn't want to pay less.
Speaker 6 (01:01:33):
He took less to go to the Ravens, but now
he got obviously took less.
Speaker 2 (01:01:37):
Oh you got to watch the interview we do with
Tyry Roseman. He breaks down the entire AJ Brown truck.
Speaker 1 (01:01:41):
It was like in negotiation stuff with AJ. I want
to say that the Titans tried to overplay their leverage
on like.
Speaker 2 (01:01:47):
Anchoring him down.
Speaker 3 (01:01:48):
Pissed AJ off. Can't do that, can't do that.
Speaker 2 (01:01:51):
Well, they get a call during the day of the
drafts or hey, you want to do this the picks
and everything worked out between picks twelve and fifteen pay
to eighteen, twelve and fifteen. They got the contract done
with AJ. And then how we didn't even tell the
guys that are in the warm with him walked in like, hey,
who were to take with eighteen? You I'll tell you
we're to take a J. Brown? And I was like,
(01:02:12):
what what?
Speaker 1 (01:02:13):
What?
Speaker 2 (01:02:14):
How are you the fucking man? Which I do love.
Speaker 6 (01:02:17):
I mean, I think it was that, but I also
think you know, we was the Patriots of the South
as well with the Titans, and AJ likes that online
and tell everything that's happening, and they didn't like that
at the time when we was playing, they didn't They
didn't want you to put information out there. And aj Will, Oh,
I'm having surgery, I'm doing this. I do that.
Speaker 2 (01:02:39):
I think they got rid of me and Will as
well because we started our podcast too.
Speaker 6 (01:02:42):
I mean they told you, they.
Speaker 7 (01:02:45):
Told you to take a break. You did that.
Speaker 6 (01:02:47):
You tried, he tried to take a break from the pot,
but then you got hurt, right, and then you came back.
Speaker 2 (01:02:53):
No, I didn't do the podcast during this season.
Speaker 7 (01:02:55):
That's what the podcast during the Did they tell you
not to do that or no?
Speaker 2 (01:02:59):
Once rebel on, they were they were good with it.
Speaker 6 (01:03:01):
Okay.
Speaker 2 (01:03:01):
Yeah, there was never a whole lot of conversations around
the pod. They just gave me the whole be careful conversation.
Speaker 6 (01:03:05):
Yeah, don't put too much out there.
Speaker 2 (01:03:07):
Yeah, well not battle.
Speaker 1 (01:03:08):
I don't say there's a rumor to just saying he
wasn't gonna step on the grass unless there was a
certain number there.
Speaker 3 (01:03:13):
Yeah, yeah, that too, so just you know, yeah, egos
what not?
Speaker 2 (01:03:17):
Not anytime touchdown.
Speaker 1 (01:03:20):
I'm sorry, sorry, yeah, yeah, Jamar Jackson, John Robinson, he
did flip to the Falcons.
Speaker 6 (01:03:25):
I did flip to the Falcons Kings back to the Falcons. Well,
I had because when you said I have Vikings, but
damn wait, I heard him speak and then when I
heard him give the statistics, I'm like, okay, I'm flipping
over yeah, because I hate your stats.
Speaker 2 (01:03:38):
You didn't like that, didn't like the stats. Now I
think the stat was favorable to the Vikings. Viking stat
made you go to the Falcons.
Speaker 6 (01:03:47):
Yeah, because you did that with the Chiefs talking about
how they always win in their home open, and you
gave that stack and then they got the ass.
Speaker 2 (01:03:55):
With Jim Nashville.
Speaker 6 (01:03:58):
Think about this, he follows my league.
Speaker 1 (01:04:01):
Okay, Bijon Lamar Jackson, Bijon Javonte Williams.
Speaker 4 (01:04:10):
Jalen Hurts, Jalen Hurts, Flex, Josh Jacobs flex.
Speaker 3 (01:04:15):
On your own response, Jacobs, did you hear this before?
Speaker 2 (01:04:17):
The third Commander's thirtieth overall and rush defense last year
stood up against the Giants last week?
Speaker 5 (01:04:22):
Two touchdowns then Josh Jacobs solo bet two touds. What's
that crush? The numbers for me?
Speaker 6 (01:04:28):
That is not on our parlay?
Speaker 2 (01:04:31):
Rush defense might have gotten better number rushing last year.
They looked pretty good against They're.
Speaker 4 (01:04:39):
At Lambeau again. Big wins must be nice in.
Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
A row touchdowns only only plus two seven because they
feel good about it too. They liked my stat. That
was their favorite movie.
Speaker 6 (01:04:51):
The commanders think that's possible with that.
Speaker 2 (01:04:54):
Yeah, fun stat, fun show. We feel good boys, great show,
great show. Let's win them all this weekend.
Speaker 12 (01:05:01):
