In the Season One finale of The Case, the Oconee County Sheriff's Office shares with Kirk Minihane information that might be the key to understanding a web of death and deceit in Walhalla, South Carolina. What began as an investigation into the disappearance of 17-year-old Jennifer Fay in Brockton 30 years ago concludes as a sweeping investigation into several people who have died mysteriously or are currently missing. The thread that ties these tragic cases together is Kevin W. Maler, a former resident of Jennifer's Brockton neighborhood and a person of interest in her disappearance. Law enforcement also believe Maler may have been involved in the disappearance of Faith Roach in 2019. Maler has an upcoming court date for drug and firearms charges on May 26, but he is currently on the lam, hiding from law enforcement.
