#38: Watch Out For Those Uggs

It’s funny how everything moves slower but friendlier once you leave NYC. Jessica recounts how she was bullied in her Uggs. Francis makes the mistake of asking Jessica who she’s currently fighting with on the internet :) And what’s with the NIL payments to NCDC players as they look to standardize team resources across the nation? Jessica keeps chugging along and guessing the dad jokes!

#36: Snow + Disney ≠ Fairytale!

It’s the aftermath of Winter Storm Fern and Francis wants to know why on earth the bike lane is plowed but not the streets or parking spots? Of course Jessica is obsessed with Heated Rivalry and somehow she’s still harboring Cesar the foster dog. We get a Disney trip update, a Jetblue fail and Jessica surprises Francis by guessing 2/3 of the dad jokes. She’s on a roll!

What’s up people? Jessica enlightens us all about dog foster care, while Francis romanticizes NYC/West Coast life in the early 2000s. Predictive markets has become a hot topic and the house always wins - was Venezuela technically invaded? World Juniors hockey was a complete bust for Team USA and Canada but congratulations to Sweden for the win!

#31: Happy 2026!

It’s the first episode of 2026!  Jessica and Francis wish all of you a safe, healthy, peaceful and successful new year. We talk 5,000 calories a day, bitch about tech billionaires, and spend a little time walking down memory lane as latchkey kids with no safeguards.

#30: It’s the Holidays! We hope you had a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah and an upcoming Happy New Year celebration. Jessica and Francis talk about koala bears, safaris, and a recent visit to SF. Jessica has a huge heart and provides foster care for dogs. Meanwhile, Roomba finally went bust!

#29: Jessica and Francis continue their meandering thoughts on AI and jobs for future graduates. After all, how much is human interaction worth? Jessica gets excited about her son going on a Costco run, while Francis wishes he could freeze his kids at 6 years old. Above all else, NO SHOES INSIDE THE HOUSE!

#28: The kids know what they don’t want, but they don’t know what they want. Francis recalls detention and writing lines in elementary school. Lo and behold, Jessica finally got her Apple email back online and of course, Gregory from customer service didn’t call her about it until our episode recording. How come they don’t teach typing in high school? Good AI vs bad AI - does it exist?

#27: Jessica sits in a middle airplane seat but loses the battle for the armrests. But, that’s just the beginning of her headaches as Apple email leaves her for dead. Francis talks NHL hockey grudges and discusses the pros and cons of being tendered early for juniors - congrats to all!

#26: Part 1 of a two-part session - Jessica has had a tough few weeks with customer service, so Francis lends an ear for her to vent against Delta Airlines on her recent trip to hockey mecca, Minnesota. The episode is rounded out with hard scrambled eggs, price gouging airline algorithms and our new favorite app - Flighty.

#25: Jessica & Francis exchange views on the perils of riding the NYC subway and the recent election for mayor of our fair city. Meanwhile, Francis can't get enough fried chicken and bubble tea. 

#24: Jessica and Francis need a universal translator to understand all teens; some quick World Series chatter and a Sabrina Carpenter concert. But the meat on the bone is how Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) ruined amateur hockey forever. 

#22: Morning rituals; you can't milk an oat; and the basics of junior hockey life. Oh, and the listeners have spoken: "more dad jokes please".
