Straw Media. Guys, I hearit too, along trouble. Hey guys,
it's Jordan Jones and welcome back tothe Jordan Jones Podcast. On today's
(00:25):
episode, we have one of mybestie girls, Tila Dunn. I have
known her for so long, youguys, for ages. We were babies
when we met. We can alsotalk about that. But before, I
just really want you to shout outyour new project, your new movie on
Amazon Prime, because we got togive you and your work a shout out
(00:47):
before we you know, before weget into the before we get into the
tea. So I have a moviecoming out called rock Bottom. It is
a Amazon Prime original movie, whichis so exciting. I've never done any
Amazon movies before, so I'm really, really really excited. And it's about
these two best friends, Alex andCat. I play Cat Cat with a
(01:07):
K and we're just Cat okay,Cat okay. Mancha will like it and
it's just like a really good, feel good like movie for all ages.
There's a lot of drama that goesdown and there's a lot of great music
involved as well. So I thinklike one of the coolest things to note
that you have done is your turtlevoice. I always think about that.
(01:33):
You don't even know. I'll seeyou and someone be like, oh,
like, what what does Tila do? And I'm like, not an influencer,
not on YouTube the turtle, he'seight turtle, she's a turtle.
Is that still happening. I haven'tdone it in forever, but I'm sure
it's still on, like it's online, it's still rolling around somewhere. So
(01:53):
cool, which is insane. AndI did that from six to thirteen.
I did the voice of Tuck theTurtle from six to thirteen. Is that
I could still do the voice too? Yeah? Please, hi, Matcha,
it's me Touck to the Fly,Bilk to the Fly? Though,
isn't it crazy? Something from anythingwhen you were thirteen and eight? Okay
twenty seven? Now, that iswild. I always think about that.
(02:16):
I don't know why, but yeah, she's also a YouTuber, beauty guru.
You have a line in Walmart rightcrumbson look cute? Okay, she
knows what's up. That's also likeso cool. I feel like you have
like so many more things checked offyour bucket list, and like we even
realize YouTube too. I just thinkbeing an influencer and just like being in
(02:38):
the entertainment industry in general, it'sso nice and important not to put yourself
in a box. So if youcan do get your foot and dipping in
all the waters as much as youcan, especially while you're young, like
do it, yeah, because theseopportunities are very hard to come by.
When you get that opportunity, justlike do it, put your all into
it, and like see if youlike it. That's something that I've always
(02:58):
lived by. I was a batontwirler, a gymnast, and a dancer,
all at the same like ages, like all growing up, and then
like one by one they kind offell off and I formed a dancer,
and then when I moved out toLA it was YouTuber singer rapper. Yeah,
I tried it all modeling and thenlike I like again like ticked some
off that I didn't like or weren'tas successful. I wasn't like seeing income
(03:21):
like from those. But I stillfeel like what you said, like dipping
your toe and everything with my careerand my life, it's better that I'm
kind of doing a little bit ofeverything instead of being really good at one
thing. Like my mom has alwayswanted me to like pursue singing, be
a singer, be a pop star, and I'm like, I don't know
if that's for me. I wouldrather kind of do a lot of different
(03:44):
things and just be in the entertainmentworld than that which most celebrities nowadays,
like Zendaya, she does all,she does everything amazing. She's people like,
what isn't this girl doing? Likeit's insane. Isn't she doing exactly?
I don't know. Maybe she doesn'town her own business yet. She
hasn't stepped into like the business, that's true, But I just like collaborations
(04:08):
with like huge brands. She'll belike the face face of everything. Yeah,
baiton or whatever. But yeah,we met you guys, and I
think it was twenty fifteen at Coachella. Would always talk about this. That
was my first ever Coachella too.Me too. I was too young to
go to anything, so I couldonly go to this one party and I
drove all the way up to thedesert for it, just for it.
(04:29):
It was a popping party. Ohmy, everyone was there. I also
was super young too and couldn't getinto anything. I was like power crowd
on. I know that's how longago it was, So did I that's
when the flower crowds were like theepitome of Coachella, Like if you're not
wearing a flower crownd was like, what were you doing there? What do
you think is like the top threetrends right now? Oh, top three
trends right now? I would say, like bay jeans or like fashion wise
(04:51):
fashion wise either definitely baggae jeans.Baggageans are making a huge comeback. I
want skinny jeans to come back, though. I'm looking good, but okay,
like we gotta celebrate the cake,Like I'm drowning in these pants.
We're little yeah, one right,Like these baggy pants kind of need to
(05:14):
go. Yeah. I like themsometimes though, because they're really comfortable.
What else is popping off? Ifeel like Denim, like Denhim has made
such a big comeback. I justlike out you Go Blue and Berlin last
week or in the beginning of March. That's why I went. They were
launching Denim. So that's so mannythat you God, yeah, I did
see that. You were out there. Dog looked like an amazing trip.
It was, Yeah, Denim,Yeah, I guess we'll put that in
(05:38):
one in one. I feel likeearly two thousand era fashion is so back
right now, Like that is likewhat all the girlies are? Why K
why two K vibes like Tarai yummy, like that's all she wears. I
feel like it's very like old Parishillten vibes, like that's not particularly my
style. She looks amazing. Idon't think I could pull it off,
but I feel like that that styleis very trending right now. And then
(06:00):
maybe faux freckles. I've never triedthose, they're so popular. Honestly say,
skincare is like the most in rightnow that it's ever Wait, how
did we not talk about that? The drunk elephant drop freaking today? Okay,
it's so good though it is alsoyou know what else is trending that
(06:20):
I just got my hands on andI actually love it. I forget the
brand of it, but it lookslike weed cream and it's on screen.
Yes, it's so good in it, I almost want to I went to
like this gifting suite and they hadit, and they gave it to me.
How is the chamoy pickle? Isit actually worthy of me getting it?
Oh? My goodness? Okay, first of all, I could talk
(06:42):
about chimoy pickles. This whole podcast. I am such a pickle girl.
But you know what's weird about me. I don't like pickles all my sandwiches.
I don't like pickles all my burgers. I like just the pickles,
like by itself, like the biggiant pocket pickles, the hot pickles,
whatever. The chimoy pickles is sogood. Now the way I do it,
I do it like the crazy peopleon TikTok. It can never lie.
Scoop out a little bit of it. I scoop out a little bit
(07:04):
of it. I put some hotcheetos inside of it. Then I like
put the little like powdered hourder.Sometimes I wrap it up with the do
you do that dripping? Yes?Well, that tastes so good that it
makes it right because it's so spicy, especially with the hot cheetop. But
the hot Cheeto gives it a crunch. But then with the powder and the
(07:26):
little like liquid candy, it bouncesit all out. I will say,
it's so messy, like these kidscome with gloves. It's no joke.
Do you wear the gloves with it? Yeah? Because it stains my nails.
I heard like people it stains liketheir co oh yeah, okay,
so what you gotta wipe it downto get it up. So the chroy
pickle is probably the best thing you'vegone on TikTok shop. What's like the
worst? Maybe even like an Instagramadd like what were you so disappointed by?
(07:49):
Oh? I can tell you this. So have you seen those like
body oils like yes on TikTok shopthat everybody talks about. It was like
cinnamon something. It was supposed tosmell like a Cinna minbun and it was
like trending, and then they altsidestrawberry shortcake. I bought both, okay,
because I was like, I'm gonnabe smelling so good when I get
out the shower, I'm gonna smelllike a little treat. It was so
(08:13):
bad. It literally smelled like syrupliteral syrup. Oh syrup, Yeah,
I guess sah it's smell. Areyou a valley girl now? I mean
right? Yeah? For like ever, But honestly, it was not it
not. It smelled disgusting. Italso did not last at all. They're
(08:33):
like, you put on your body'sgonna last all day? No? No,
So that was definitely my most disappointing. I like the ramen noodles,
though, I think those are alittle overrated. The noodles. Yeah,
maybe it's just because I think thenoodles are like almost too thick, they're
almost too chewy. Because it saysfive minutes, but most people I don't
think are doing the five minutes.Maybe better. Yeah, I honestly like
(08:56):
it when it's a little crunchy.I don't like when they're like too yeah
are you Italian? She's a valleygirl, and I only like it al
dente. I think my favorite thingwould be Honestly, I got this just
to promote to make money from becauseone of my friends was like, I
(09:16):
made forty thousand dollars from selling this. I'm sorry what? So I got
it and I wanted to make avideo to promote it. In my video
completely tanked and I deleted it.But the criss crosschair, I I you're
talking about. I love that thing. Really. I got it in ivory.
I even got it without wheels becauseI want to just promote it and
like I'm gonna like donate it afterbecause I have nowhere to put it.
(09:39):
Whatever I have, like the hisand her sinks, and I put it
on my side, so it kindof like looks weird, but I use
it every day because literally, lookat me, I'm literally criss crossed.
I can't do it. I literallycan't. I can't game. I can't
sit at a restaurant without doing thisbecause it's like extremely fancy. Then it's
like it's still like at Nobuo theother night, I was sitting like this,
(10:00):
I like no one can see.I think that that's the best thing
I have gotten, but I reallywant to upgrade to the chairs or the
wheels. Sorry, because it scratchesthe f out of my floors. So
worst thing. I'm not really talkingTikTok shop, I'm talking Amazon. A
(10:24):
lot of these dupes for Skims orLulu Lemon are so thin. The sizing
sucks. I cannot even Like myfriends closest to me will be like,
oh my god, this is sogood. I gotta and I'm like,
oh, send me the link.I see it's amazing. You get it,
and you're like this looks like Iwould say, like dupes just don't
ever work out well for me.Well that was the intro, So sorry
(10:50):
about all of that rambling. Wehave some questions from you guys. The
first one's a little bit more oflike a confession type, and then the
other ones are just like for usto answer. So I'm in a relationship
for a year and I feel likeI don't have strong feelings for my partner
anymore. Should I stay in therelationship because I'm scared of losing them?
Absolutely not. I think a yearis more than enough time. You know,
(11:15):
if you fully like that person,if you're you should be in love
with that person, you should beprogressing. Obviously. I'd say around that
time the honeymoon phase does fade. They say there's like what five stages of
a relationship after the honeymoon phase. It's like the arguing kind of like struggle
hard times, and then you getback to like being so connected more than
(11:35):
ever. So if you are inthat right after a year the honeymoon phase
is done, you're kind of losingsight of it, You're not feeling it.
That's I think where this person isif you're questioning it. I also
just think like if if your feelingsaren't that strong, like saying in it
and I get it, Like I'vegone on dates with a lot of guys
feeling like, Okay, this guy'ssuper into me. Maybe I'll get there
(11:58):
and keep going on dates with them, keep going tapes with them, and
I'm like, oh my god,no, I'm just wasting their time because
I have no chemistry with them andI don't like them. You like,
try, you try because they havestrong feelings for you. Clearly this person
has strong films for you. Butif you don't feel that in your heart,
you just gotta let them go becauselingering on it's gonna make it way
harder for the other person, especiallylike knowing that if you feel that way,
(12:20):
that person deserves someone who can sureabout that. Yeah, if you
feel bad about leaving someone, Iget it's probably like the hardest decision to
make sure this person you know, does everything for me, they're the best
to me. But I'm just notfeeling one hundred percent in it. I
feel like you would try and tryand try to make it work, but
(12:41):
it's just like you love you lovewaste like one hundred percent or you don't.
Yeah, it's just you know,at the end of the day,
like you don't want to waste yourtime, you don't want to waste their
time. It's better to just letit go. I know it's gonna suck.
Break up suck in general, butit's better to just like let it
go than be miserable in something thingthat you're not fully into. Mm hmmm.
(13:03):
Sad, it's very sad. ButI would let it go. Let
it go, let it go,let it go. Ok, hold it
back anymore? Let it go,let it go. I think I'm gonna
watch that to note with my kniece. That would be fun. Oh I
love ros So it came out intwenty fourteen. No, we believe that
it came out that long ago.Did you ever see the second one?
(13:26):
Yes? The second one made mecry. The whole off situation really messed
me up. I was like, you guys are all you guys are playing
with my motion. It was notokay, okay, you guys, next
one? Where would your dream datebe? Honestly, I went on an
amazing date the other day with thisperson that I'm talking Okay, tell us
(13:46):
about it. I wouldn't say itwas my dream date, but it was
definitely up there. He picked meup as he should open a car door
for me, like very gentlemen. We had the nice heat warmers in his
car and then yeah, wait whatlike the like there's the heat warmers and
then there's like the chairs that likekind of massage your back was like one
of those massaging heated seats. Ithought you were just saying like he had
(14:11):
heated seats too. Oh yeah,he had heated the seats. I'm like,
I hope so like most cars do. I feel like most cars do,
but maybe like twenty fifteen and onobviously it's like probably an option,
so not all the cars. Ohmy, I'm crying. But it was
such a great date. We wentto his place in Point Dune and like
(14:35):
watched the sunset with the restaurant calledthe Sunsets Set Room. Yeah. I
love that place when we ate there. And then after he took me to
like this beach lookout and it waslike a full moon. I would just
like, ye yesterday, Oh dang, it was the full moon mm hmm.
And we like watched the full moontogether and it was so cute.
(14:56):
That's so cute. It was avibe. I feel like beach dates like
anything with the not like anything withgreat conversation, good food, great and
then a view is so romantic.Love that, Yeah, and like to
pick a day or night where itwas like a full moon. I think
it's just so hot. I wouldsay, my favorite day I've ever been
on in my life. Oh mygosh, Like we've done it like twice.
(15:18):
We go to air One because it'smy favorite love air One in Venice.
Oh that's so close to me.Yes it is. I know where
you live now, relocation, Iknow where you live the yeah, Venice.
We go to Airwon then and we'rein his truck, so we go
to the beach. He surprised mewith this, by the way. I
(15:39):
think the first time we did itwas Valentine's Day twenty twenty two, so
that was like the Oh no,it was to ask me to be his
Valentine. It wasn't on Valentine's Day, so cute. So a couple days
before so he like, I knewwe were going to Airwan, but like
I didn't really know anything else.So he drives to the beach and parks
in like an empty parking lot,and he's like, stay here. So
(16:02):
we go to the back. Heblew up a mattress. Shut up yep.
Comforter wrote on the air One likebox be my Valentine had roses.
And then we sat there like watchedthe sunset, heard the waves and we
we count planes and like, guesswhere the planes are going? I that
is best, stay so cute. It's the best. One more time during
(16:26):
summer, but we haven't done itsince. I want to do it again.
It's the best. I love that. I love that. I love
romantic people like he's that's thoughtful andromantic art ones ten out of ten.
Ten again, what is your lovelanguage? Okay, I'm gonna do top
(16:49):
two okay, and I know this. I'm gonna talk No. This I
know is off the back. Physicaltouch and quality time okay, but obviously
physical touch is only when i'm likewith that person, because oh my god,
there's nothing more gross. In myopinion, If like you're on a
first date with a guy and they'relike way too touchy or like dead it,
(17:10):
I'm like ill, literally like, don't touch me. When people like
you're at line, you're in lineat like say your coffee shop, and
someone's standing too close to you.Yeah, I don't like that. Like
if I don't know you, ifwe're getting on each other, back off,
you're doing too much. But oncewe're like, once we're together and
we're dating, I'm like I wantthe cuddles. I want the kisses.
I want it all. The handgesture, the caressing, all of that.
(17:37):
I want it all. And alsoquality time because I know you relate
to this too, like we arebusy people, Like there's always something going
on in our life, whether wemake time for exactly. And I think
obviously whoever I'm going to date, they're going to be busy too. I'm
a very busy person. But Iwant that person to set aside a day,
a moment, you know, hoursfor me, otherwise we're gonna have
(18:00):
a problem. Yeah, he saidthat. What about you, where do
your love languages gift giving and actsof service? Really? Yeah? Because
I was talking about this in mylast podcast that like surprise Starbucks at your
door or like flowers at your doorwhen you just like that little like gesture
(18:21):
makes me feel so appreciated and lovedbecause I like to do that for others
because most of the love languages iswhat you like to do, So that's
what you want. I totally seewhere you're coming from about the gift giving
as far as like what I loveto do for people that I care about,
whether that's like friendships or just likea relationship or anything. I do
(18:41):
love getting little gifts for people. It doesn't even have to be big,
just like thoughtful things like your favoriteflowers on my birthday, like because someone
else does it, because first ofall, birthdays are still bed important.
And I've known Jordan for holf upfreaking long ten years literally ten years literally
definitely ten years, well fifteen, and now it's twenty twenty four, oh
(19:03):
yeah, okay almost ten almost tencrazy, But I just think it's just
so nice. Once you get toknow somebody and that person's been in your
life for a really long time, why don't you see that person or not?
Like, just being thoughtful, knowingwhat they like and going that extra
mile just makes the biggest difference. Not only does it make you feel so
good, just knowing that it makesthem feel so good. It's just like
so great. And like if I'mdating somebody, I like to know every
(19:23):
little thing about that person, likewhat's the candy my phone of what's their
Starbucks order and stuff like that.It finds also his allergies. He's allergic
too, he's nuts. Yeah,no, yeah, nuts. Cherries raw
raw like carrots because they could becooked apples. They can be cooked carrots,
(19:44):
but they can't be raw. That'sso like you know, the way
they were like grown or I don'tknow, sprayed and stuff. No way
sergic cherries. Yeah, I'm prettysure it's in it's my notes. There's
like some random ones too, Whatare you watermelon? Sergy to? What?
And it's like my favorite, whatare you allergic to? Nothing?
(20:07):
Really she's just blessed. But Ihate nuts. I don't like that's fine,
okay, okay with peanut butter okay, like a peanut butter cup like
breezes. But also like you know, I'm not gonna have like that stuff
like around because I'm just too scared. Yeah, but yeah, those are
languages. I would just say accessservice because like which is important like driving
(20:30):
you to picking up from the airportlike that. It's always that like,
yeah, I have this like deskI just got delivered to like he's helping
me like build it. It's juststuff that like I almost like can't do.
Like it's like it's a ninety eightpound package. I couldn't even move
it from my door to human likeI weigh No, I'm not a lifter.
(20:56):
I don't lift. Like that's whyI like five stars. You need
the man I'm not one of thoseI'm a woman and I can do anything.
Maybe I'll get that like will powerwhen you're a mother, because it
just kicks in and you're like,I can do anything. Oh my god,
Oh my god. I can't waituntil we're like and we're moms together.
(21:17):
That's gonna be that's gonna be crazybecause we look so young. People
are gonna be like, oh mygod, these girls are like tas like
I'm watching my niece tonight. Itjust looks like I'm babysitting or something like
does it look like she could ye? Next question, how goes dating for
you? Why are you not asinto YouTube as you were as a kid?
(21:38):
So this is more so a youquestion. Okay, I feel like
for me, I'm just not gettingback into YouTube and I'm focusing more on
like YouTube shorts just because there's somany other platforms that I focus more of
my time on, like Snapchat, like Instagram and snap Snapchat. First of
(21:59):
all, it probably takes ten tofifteen minutes to watch. Yeah, Like
yes, like I'm on that snapdripper, Mama, that snap drag. Get
three hundred you post a day?No, like only like one hundred and
like fifteen No, there's more. There's I've gotten up to two hundred and
one. That's maybe the one.Yeah, like that, gag. It's
(22:21):
a lot. These people, allmy snapschot are crazy. They're crazy,
They're crazy. What goes through yourhead when you see this thirsty man?
Yeah? Comment and then you respond? Is there ever a time where you're
like should I not respond to thisone? Is it too much? Like?
What is your like boundary with that? Because she responds to so many
(22:45):
of them, and they're like, they're crazy, they're crazy, Like I
want to smell your sweaty feet afteryoga, like please just like step on
me, show me your dirty showme your dirty socks, sell me your
dirty sock, ship it to mySome people like after I've responded that would
send me their address. Anyways,Well, the story, I think it's
really funny because I make like Ihave a very expressive face, so I'll
(23:08):
just make the most grossed out, fuff like faces responding to these people because
I'm like you, and like they'llask me like I just want your socks?
Will you marry me? And Iwill like post a video and be
like no, And it's really funny. And then of course I have like
non creepy fans that are like,I love you, you inspire me.
How are you to squow? You'rea queen? And of course I responded
(23:29):
to those two. But a lotof people subscribe to my to my Snapchat
for those reactions because they're like,oh my god, these people are so
funny, Like I just want tosee what she's responding to. So it's
just kind of become just like aroutine for me now and it's so funny.
And you we talk about how muchmoney you can make them snap Yes.
Also shout out to freaking Jordan, because this girl has been on this
(23:49):
Snapchat game forever. We were ona big com panel together. I think
it was like you, me andSierra forever ago. They were asking us,
oh, like what's your favorite platformsor whatever? And I will never
forget you were like Snapchat and Iwas like, I mean I used Snapchat
a little bit, blah blah blahblah. You've been on the Snapchat game
and putting people on Snapchat from thebeginning. Like now everyone's on Snapchat.
(24:11):
I used to save some of thembecause I'm like, that is like the
best day ever. I want tosave the memories. It would be like
four to seven minutes. And thatwas long back then, because you know
how you you could like shorten thetimes down, you can like loop things,
but like back then, you likecouldn't. I remember when the Snapchat
first launched their program for creators now, all of them were like, we
want you to read be like howyou how you were like post more,
(24:34):
post videos, post whatever you want, and I was just like, I
love I watched every single one ofyour snaps. You rarely post on like
Jordan post your macha, post Majaand rach. I think I post too
much still, Like I'm at liketwenty to eighty. I missed the eighty.
I'll watch the eighty. There waseighty like once, and I'm like,
I post like twenty to eighty eventhough at eighty one, and you're
(24:56):
like, I posted two hundred ones. But so can you get I mean,
like a ball I know you're notgoing to say the exact number.
And we obviously have different each month. Whatever can be different. Give me
like a ballpark of what a monthon snap could look like for you.
I mean, like money wise,it really just depends, but I'll say
view wise, view wise because I'vebeen posting a lot, Like I literally
(25:18):
went from getting like three hundred thousandviews, four hundred thousand views to now
like five million views, which isinsane. Yeah, I get like two
to three. Five million was likethe most views I got. But like
me too. Now it's like it'sa lot of views, Like every time
I post now, Like again, not say that two hundred three hundred thousand
views is not a lot of views. That is a lot of views.
But like you can just see thedifferent it's difference, and you think posting
(25:41):
more is too annoying, so whywould people watch? But the more you
post, the more views you get, yes, and the more engaged you
are with your audience, whether they'recreepy or not. Like, like they
always say, react to the commentsto get more views, even like if
you do like little polls and questionson as it helps. The polls on
Snapchat I've been starting to get intobecause obviously we always use polls on Instagram,
(26:03):
but the poles on Snapchat really nice. Yeah, especially if you're like
if I'm doing like an outfit ofthe day or whatever, I could be
like, hey do you like thisoutphare or blah blah, blah, I
love it. I love snapchat somuch. But I am getting back into
YouTube a little bit, just startingout with the shorts. It's just it's
just so hard to go back tolike what's up, guys, Like I
was just such an oversharer, ablogger, you know, more routine,
(26:27):
like it was just it was sucha different era then. And I also
just think like I was so youngand would get like so much hate.
And yes, I would get lotsof coin and lots of views and lots
of love and lots of love aswell, but it was just like a
lot because I was oversharing my reallife. It wasn't like I was like
putting on, you know, acharacter or something like that. Like I
really was like oversharing so much ofmy life and so much of my personal
(26:49):
To step away from that, andlike there's other platforms that can go away
in twenty four hours where I canshow like my true self and not just
yeah or fifteen seconds instead of exactlyexactly so or more more control over that
exactly. Short form is obviously thrivingto so we kind of like as content
creators, we have to move likethese companies and businesses and brands and platforms,
(27:14):
because if we're still doing like thirtyminute vlogs, yeah, like we'd
still get like some viewers, butwe it's different than watching those vlogs like
that. Like I feel like longform on YouTube is like all podcasts.
It has to be podcasts or likestreamers re uploading their live stream from like
twitch or anything like that. Yeah, like that's the only like that's I
(27:34):
watch all of that. I lovewatching podcasts on YouTube and bangs that's what
I watch. I watch too,Like Steph. You watch Steph video,
Oh my God, to send popus. She's one of my friends.
You have to watch your videos. It's good discovering someone new. So then
you have like so much more stuffto watch and then you can just like
(27:56):
I have to wait like a wholeweek, you know what I mean,
so you'll be able to back backtrack, backlog whatever. I will be watching
that. I love mukmong. That'sanother thing I do with Tattoo, like
I always film with me is theeat so funny. Like all I can
think about is first of all atShamoy pickle, but also by the way,
Sounds posted a health not salad videowhatever. I hate salads. I
(28:19):
don't really like cold food, andI've never looked up something so fast in
my life like influence. Really,I swear to you, I'm not that
much of a salad girl either. That salad is the like the most delicious,
I like the best combination. Yeah, I was like, Okay,
So the Kardashians her reaction to these, you know, like most of the
(28:41):
time you watch them and someone's like, this is like so good, She's
over the top with it, canyou like you know, I'm like,
like I'm one of those people whenI eat something really good, like my
eyes are rolling back, like I'mmaking sound that doesn't sound questionable, but
(29:02):
it's just because I'm eating the food. If people watch my eat with me,
and if they're in public, likethey might need to put therapods in
respectful me, I'm like, I'mlike's gonna I promise. I promised you.
He was just eating Tila does isover the top, and that's why
(29:23):
you're so special. Honestly, Ifeel like you too. I feel like
we're just very extra. At leastyou like you're aware of it. Oh,
it's just like, what do youmean, Like I'm just eating like
so annoying today like, I getit. What was it like to meet
Millie Bobby Brown? Oh, mygoodness, story time. Yeah, So
(29:44):
my movie that's coming out, rockBottom, Jacon Jovi's in it. Love
him. He's one of the leadsin the movie. He was he was
exactly, so they were just boyfriendand girlfriend at the time. I had
no idea who he was dating. When we first did our table read,
he was like, I have togo, guys, I have to go,
Like I have to go, Ihave to go to the airport and
like me my girlfriend da da dah, like girlfriend girl for girlfriend. I
was like, okay, like doyour think okay? Like as he shood
(30:07):
whatever, he ran off, andthen I was like, I was like,
let me just look up who hisgirlfriend is. And then I saw
that it was Millie Boby Brown, and I was like, oh, period,
Like as he should. As hefreaking shook, you better run run
to see eleven, okay. Andthen when we started filming, she flew
out to California and was on setwith us literally like every other day.
And so she's so sweet and thenI really got to get to know her,
(30:32):
want a deeper level and like wouldhave lunch with her and she's just
so down to earth, so chill, so talented, And before I even
met her, I went on thislike I was bored, and I went
on this deep dive with watching StrangerThings because originally I watched season one years
ago, but then it just feltI like fell off with it. And
then I watched the entire thing likefully caught up. And then I met
her and I was like, that'sso crazy, and then she invited me.
(30:55):
She invited me to her birthday partylast year. That was crazy,
so much fun. It was likeCalgary themed. She's just so nice.
I had nothing but great things tosay about her. She's so talented,
and she's so normal, Like forsomebody that's that successful, you would think
they would be like having an egoor like, I don't know, like
a lot of people. You know, there's so many TikTok influencers that like
(31:15):
have egos and they're like, Ithink I did it, Like you would
think that you'd be like that, not at all, Like speaking of down
to earth, I think she hasto be probably the most down to earth
person. I'm not certain about thisbecause I've met like a lot of people
when I was really young in thisindustry, but I don't think I've ever
met her, but listen to this. I will literally never forget this.
(31:37):
So she was really close with Maddieand Mackenzie z Are like when we were
probably like sixteen seventeen years old,and I never watched Stranger Things. I
don't think I've ever seen a singleepisode, Like I've never watched anything that
she's in. Not me being notsupportive at all. I just like but
like she DMed me, she Ithink knew me from them because like dancers
(32:00):
and like whatever friend so and bythe way, she was already eleven,
she's already like killing you like amassive and in twenty seventeen she DMed me
saying thanks for the follow and likeI was like, oh my, I
said, no, prop girly, how are you whatever. We get talking
then she like gives me her numberright off the bat, and I always
think that that's like so crazy becauselike I don't even do that even to
(32:23):
like girls, Like I don't reallyeven do that. So I was just
like this girl is like pop andlike everyone I'm friends with is like,
oh my god, yeah yeah. Then this is where I was like,
oh my gosh when my dad passedaway. She said, I'm so sorry
for your loss, sending my love. So this is a year after two
years after Yeah, but we hadlike some communication where I was like,
(32:45):
thank you so much. She goes, let me know if you need anything.
A day later, she's so smart, she goes, could I have
your email to send you an invitationfor my birthday in February, sending my
love and prayers to you. SoI send my email to her. Then
the next day she goes, what'syour address for my shipment for my box
whatever? Thinking she's like telling mebasically that it's about this event and birthday
(33:07):
party. Yeah, like give hermy address, and then she also asks
for my number. After that,I give her my number. Then I
wake up the next day to flowersat my door from her stop And she's
so thoughtful like that time, LikeI really obviously like saw who haired about
me like the most. Even somepeople like thought to send it like straight
(33:28):
to the funeral home. But Ihad these when I got back to California.
Wow, I was like, holycrap, this girl is so nice
and sweet and I still don't knowif I've ever met her, but I
have to say I'm obsessed with hernow me too. She's so she's so
hilarious. I see her interviews whereshe's like talking about the carrots video.
(33:49):
Oh my god, that video that'sso funny. If there's like two people
I stand right now, it's OliviaRodrigo and Millie Bobby Brown. I agree,
and Millie Bobby Brown, we stand. Video is really funny. She's
just the best. I love thatgirl. And like when she just talks
about like her husband and all heranimals and her like fostering and like her
too Winnie the poodle on like Fallonor whichever fact that she has bunnies.
(34:10):
She just takes care of so manyanimals, like she's just a walking green.
She's like, oh yeah, my, like a goat, like like
like has a farm. Like.I love her. She is so sweet.
So yeah, shout out to MilleBobby Brown. Really, I'm gonna
end this off with another little pieceof advice from us. Okay, how
do you stop being a doormat topeople? Ooh, this is a good
(34:32):
one because one thing about me whenI first moved out to California, I
mean, obviously we were super young. Whenever I was young, I was
definitely the definition of a walking doormat. I was just super loyal to different
So all these like friend groups andall these girls that were like I thought
they were so cool, and likeI didn't want to speak up to myself
way too trusting. Oh my god, I was just gullible and trusting.
And that is a recipe for adoormat, because then you don't want to
(34:55):
speak up for yourself because you don'twant to lose those friends. You're loyal
to. All the friends, theywalk all over you. Your opinion is
their opinion. It's all one bigmess. But you've still stayed very caring
to maybe your like secure group now, which like I'm glad that it didn't
like kill you completely, it didit. That's just good because that happens
to most people. Does They arelike so open and so trusting that all
(35:20):
these people literally tear them down,And now you're so closed off to everyone,
which is not that's not the wayto be, but it is important
for yourself set boundaries, have anopinion for yourself. Setting boundaries to me,
and like, following through with thoseis the hardest thing that I still
I'm not very good at. I'llthink to myself, like, yeah,
(35:44):
I shouldn't let that fly or likethis or that, and then like when
it comes down to it, Ijust like don't have it in me to
like be like yeah, I'm like, oh, well, this, this
and this are like factors and thishappened, so that that happened, and
then like I like down the situationto make myself not have to say anything,
(36:04):
and then that makes people continue certainbehaviors with me. So I'm not
very good at giving advice on thisscenario. I'm still learning too, Like
I'm still navigating how to stick bythe boundary. Shoot, it's like you
can say them, and then ifpeople cross those boundaries again and you just
like to let it go, thenit's like they're not going to respect you.
Because I feel like respect is justso important in every relationship. But
(36:28):
I just feel like if you're aroundpeople that just feel like they can walk
all over you and that you're notgonna speak up, they don't respect you.
And one day, you know,I don't want you to like snap
or anything, and they're like, where's all this coming from? This girl
never speaks up for herself or whatever. So I think it's important to just
maybe have a conversation with your friendgroup or whoever it is in your life
(36:49):
and be like, it makes mefeel really uncomfortable when you guys talk to
me like this or you know,I'm just speaking up for myself now.
And if you guys still want tobe in my life, some things are
gonna have to change. If theylike flip out on you or gaslight you
or anything like that, then youdon't need those people in your life.
Yeah, Like in my relationship andlike all relationships that I even have nowadays,
it's like loyalty and respect is waymore powerful than like love. It
(37:13):
is, especially with the one girltalking about her like one year, you
know, she's not feeling that sparkanymore. To me. I know now
that love can be at a low, it can be at a high,
it can face spark, but ifyou have the respect and the loyalty,
then that is what will hold youtwo together. And maybe that's like that
(37:35):
connection now like after the honeymoon phasethat like we've developed. But yeah,
like I've never felt in my lifeever, I don't know like if this
is just like I was so immaturebefore. This was like totally my biggest
red flag. I wouldn't think abouthow my actions would affect someone else.
And this is the first relationship whereI've done that where I'm like putting my
(37:58):
self And it's maybe it's just becauseI like love and care so much that
I really wanting to treat him howI want to be treated. So it's
like, would I want him todo this? No? No, would
like, so why am I gonnado this? Yeah? That's so true.
I'm twenty four, and I'm like, am still learning? You know
what I mean? So? Yeah, I still don't believe you're twenty four.
(38:21):
This is so crazy. Yeah andnearly twenty four. Oh good,
she's an adult. I am anadult. And I love my life like
I bet you love your life.Yes, love your life, guys.
Be surrounded by people who uplift you. Yes, and don't suck your energy
dry or walk all over you ordon't have yalty respect for you, eat
(38:43):
your food and make anything out andyou want to make and and what else
did we talk about? I'm like, you know, watch Millie Bobby Brown's
interviews. What else do we gatheredfrom this podcast? Watch your movie movie
movie, and Millie's movie. Ilove hearing your say Damsel like I have
