Speaker 1 (00:01):
Mister, mister mister unlimited.

Speaker 2 (00:04):
Let's right, all right, chuck out Blucky Jacobson and Ashley
Ryan with you here on this Wednesday. Greg Bell, cam Cleland,
Angie men sink Al Koniski will all join us a
little more flavor here today on the radio program as

(00:28):
we now sort of sink our teeth into the fall
scheduling with the Fall Classic not being at our fingertips
any longer. But we will certainly talk more Mariners baseball
coming up on the program as well. But mister Unlimited
made the headlines yesterday. He snapped back at Sean Payton,
who did he took a shot, Let's face it. He

(00:51):
was being interviewed about facing the New York Giants in
giving a compliment to Jackson Dart, the new quarterback for
the New York Giants. Uh, he kind of took a
shot at Russell Wilson saying that we were we were
disappointed that they'd made that switch before we had to

(01:12):
face them, in essence is what he said.

Speaker 3 (01:14):
Uh. And Russell, who tends to ignore that stuff, decided
I'm not going to ignore that one. So then he
went to social media. Uh and he said classless. But
then that's what I would expect out of Sean Payton,
and then kind of gave some face laughing emojis, and
that's where it sits.

Speaker 4 (01:33):
But it made all the headlines.

Speaker 3 (01:35):
It's ESPN front page, CBS Sports front page, is all
over Twitter.

Speaker 4 (01:39):
It was trending on Twitter.

Speaker 3 (01:41):
The backup quarterback for the New York Giants and his
former head coach, Sean Payton getting into a little bit
of a jab war of words publicly. So who's in
the right, Who's in the wrong, Bucky?

Speaker 4 (01:52):
Who do you? Who's whose side you take in here?
Let's ride. I don't know if anybody's right or wrong.
It was for sure.

Speaker 5 (02:00):
Well, that's the funny part is he ends up putting
the hashtag let's right at the end of his yeah
clap back at Sea, I mean Sean Payton through shade.
It's most certainly a jab of I was hoping he'd
make that change after we played him, insinuating that we
would have liked to play it against Russell Wilson would
have felt better about it. I don't think he's wrong.

(02:20):
I mean I watched the game. I would have much
rather played against Russell Wilson. This version of Russell Wilson
than this version of Jackson Darr Jackson Dart has brought
something different that Russell Wilson wasn't bringing. And and I
don't think you have to do that. And yet again
it's they're humans that work together and didn't like each other.

(02:41):
I don't know if Sean Payton was super pumped about
the whole Russell Wilson situation.

Speaker 4 (02:46):
I mean the hashtag let's right on the end of it.

Speaker 5 (02:50):
I have a feeling that as he began to play
poorly that it was probably Sean Payton like, will you
stop saying that stupid thing?

Speaker 4 (02:57):
You know what I mean?

Speaker 5 (02:58):
I mean it otherwise are you putting the let's right
on the on the end of it? The whole thing
is is silly. I don't mind Russell Wilson for kind
of snapping back at him. You don't have to sit
back and let somebody talk trash about you. I mean,
if they want to go out and put something out
there in the public. It was pretty a bunch. It
was pretty clear that that they weren't getting along in
their time there, that it was a waste of money.

(03:20):
There was a horrible draft or horrible trade and and
and hindered them. I mean, we just finally got off
underneath paying the guy to play for other people. So
I can understand where both of them don't like each other.
But if Russell doesn't like Sean Payton because he didn't
think he put him in the best situation to win,
and Russell Wilson didn't and vice versa, they just didn't

(03:41):
like each other, that's fine. I don't know why you
have to do the thing that Peyton did, like just
throw a jab out there, And I don't mind Russell
Wilson coming back at it. To me, it's I still
I'm basically on Sean Payton's side. I think Russell Wilson
was very bad as a Denver bronco and I wouldn't
like him either if he made me look bad as
a coach.

Speaker 6 (03:58):
Yeah, I think they're both right in the sense and
they're both wrong. Like Sean Payton's saying saying what he said,
I don't think you should have said that. I think
you could, you could take the high road and be
the better person. But I also, like Russell said, I
would expect that from Sean Payton.

Speaker 7 (04:12):
So he didn't take the high road.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
He made the jab.

Speaker 6 (04:14):
Yeah, and he's done other classless things in the past,
so it isn't surprising. So Russell's not wrong in saying, well,
I wouldn't expect anything else. Yeah, but you know, and
I'm fine with Russell clapping back as well. And I
do think, yeah, they both they had a terrible time
together in Denver, and Sean Payton was brought in to
try to control what Denver had let get out of

(04:36):
control with Russell Wilson. So in that sense, I think
Denver the organization has nobody to blame for that whole
thing other than themselves. Sean Payton was brought in to
try to fix it, and Russell Wilson got humbled real quick.

Speaker 3 (04:50):
Yeah, I mean it was unnecessary to take the shot
at Russell. You could have given Jackson Darr a compliment
without saying that, And so I kind of liked it
Russell for once, like you know, you know what, I'm
not gonna just sit here and take this. I heard it,
and and I think your class listen, I'm gonna throw
that out there. So I don't have a problem with that.

(05:11):
Here's here's the only thing I don't understand about. And
we don't have a lot of time to discuss it.
Sean Payton knew what he was getting into, didn't. Wasn't
the story that Sean Payton wanted to play with Russell Wilson.
I mean, he knew the quarterback in Denver, he knew
the contract that he was taking on. I mean, you
don't he wanted to play with him, and then once

(05:32):
he got there realized.

Speaker 5 (05:33):
Oh, I can't think this guy doesn't listen to what
I'm trying to tell him.

Speaker 3 (05:37):
Yeah, which was already the reputation in his last two
years here with Pete that he was drifting apart from
any kind of coaching, any kind of leadership, was all
about just he thought he was a superstar and he
was being held back. I mean he knew, he had
to have known full awareness what he was getting into
with Russell Wilson. And then Peyton failed to get him

(06:01):
on the right track.

Speaker 5 (06:02):
Well yeah, I mean yeah, I suppose yes. I mean,
ultimately he did fail to get him there. But I
think that's where the animosity lies is he took the
job saying, all right, I got a half a step
slower Russell Wilson, but if I can teach him how
to you know, how to run the offense like Drew
Brees did very similar as far as their size and
arm strength and all that kind of stuff goes. He

(06:23):
can if he picks up what I'm putting down good. Yeah,
he probably knew or heard the rumblings that basically led
to him being shipped out of town. But I think
to some degree he's like like every coach that has
an ego, like I can figure out how to get
through his skull that this is how you have to
play the game. Russell just didn't do it. He just
flat out didn't do it. Whether it was it didn't

(06:45):
make sense to him or it was too difficult, remember
when it wasn't very long.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Maybe I just got to simplify the things.

Speaker 5 (06:50):
So I think to some degree it was I'm trying
to give him all the stuff he's incapable of taking
the information or unwilling to do it, and therefore they
end up going their separate ways.

Speaker 3 (06:59):
I think Seanyton Russell Wilson made Sean Payton look bad,
and he took it personally correct.

Speaker 4 (07:04):
That's what I think.

Speaker 7 (07:06):
Eagle couldn't handle it.

Speaker 3 (07:07):
Yeah, And Russell's ego has been out of control for
a long time.

Speaker 4 (07:11):
Yeah, and he still isn't understanding.

Speaker 8 (07:14):
Hmm.

Speaker 4 (07:15):
He's still to this day he doesn't get it.

Speaker 3 (07:17):
I mean, he apparently he has been a really good
teammate for the Giants, and I'll give him credit for that. Uh,
but he still just seems to think that honest goes
anybody out.

Speaker 4 (07:25):
Here whoa dude.

Speaker 7 (07:27):
That's because he surrounds himself with yes people.

Speaker 3 (07:29):
Yeah, all right, coming down next, ABC's at the MS
Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ RFM.

Speaker 9 (08:04):
Had the Caps sixtend their lead to a field goal

SCORESS Jana Schwartz from the ear circle beats Logan Thompson
of the krack In get their first goal of the game.

Speaker 10 (08:26):
Three one.

Speaker 4 (08:31):
Oh ever fits you on the call.

Speaker 3 (08:34):
Dire results last night a loss to the Washington Capitals
four to one, back to back games on the road,
back to back knights and both losses and pretty lopsided
as well. Matt Murray getting the start last night for
the team in goal. They kept three goalies on the
roster this year. Decord was pulled from the previous game
and so give Matt Murray a shot and the results

(08:57):
not much better as the Kraken suffer their first two
regular regulation losses of this brand new season. Those were
your mc deliveries of the game, last night's top colls
from the Crack and Audio Network, brought to you by McDonald's.
Ordering the food you craved with McDelivery is a whole

Speaker 4 (09:21):
For free food.

Speaker 3 (09:22):
See app for details that disagree with Ashley Mike Menton.
I do believe it feels like he's twenty four.

Speaker 7 (09:28):
Don't think he does.

Speaker 4 (09:29):
I think not only does he.

Speaker 3 (09:30):
Feel like he's twenty four, I think he feels like
he's twenty four in the year nineteen ninety eight, because
he showed me his tramp stamp.

Speaker 4 (09:35):
Yes, oh, Diddy. Yeah, yeah, that's right.

Speaker 6 (09:38):
Yeah, I didn't realize that, so maybe I should, Maybe
I should rethink this right.

Speaker 4 (09:41):
Down there, it's just the picture of decord. Oh yeah, all.

Speaker 3 (09:47):
Right, it's Chuck Buck and Ashley with you here on
a hump day. Greg Bell coming up here in about
one minute. Let me rip through your headlines. The NBA
season tipped off last night with two games. What an
exciting game to start the season. Double over t I'm thriller.
Oksee beat the Houston Rockings, Rockets and Kevin Durant by
one point. The Warriors beat the lebronless Lakers by ten inside.

(10:09):
The NBA debuts tonight on ESPN. Sounders take on the
Minnesota United Monday to start their MLS playoff in twenty
twenty five. Huskies are going to host Illinois on Saturday.
We'll talk to Cam Cleland about that at eight o'clock.
And of course, the Mariner season came to a close
on Monday, and the World Series will begin on Friday.

Speaker 4 (10:32):
But who cares?

Speaker 3 (10:33):
Seahawks are on by this week, and yet we've got
all this time now to talk about the Seahawks. So
let's tap into our Seahawks insiders knowledge.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Here's Greg Bell.

Speaker 3 (10:44):
All right, well, here we are at hump day and
we're all prepared to talk about the Seahawks. We got
all this time now to talk about the Seahawks, and
they decided to go on by How rude.

Speaker 8 (10:55):
Yeah, the Pacific Northwest pay attention to him again. Oh,
couple of seasons back in football, season's on pause.

Speaker 3 (11:04):
How good do you think Mike McDonald feels five and
two coming off that win?

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Bye week?

Speaker 3 (11:09):
Is here chance to rest up? Kind of a light
schedule coming up to come out of the buy How
does he think? How do you think Mike McDonald feels
about Seahawks football right now in the present.

Speaker 8 (11:20):
Moment incomplete, He's in a perfect spot for a leader
to teach and to have their attention and to motivate
and to point out their flaws and to grow because
they're a flawed five and two. They are not complete

(11:40):
on offense whatsoever. They haven't consistently run them all. If
we talked about defensively, they've had tackle issues. If the injuries,
they've yet to be whole in the secondary since the
first four plays of the season. They haven't had their
starters together in the secondary since then, they're a long
way to go, and can argue that and talk to

(12:01):
the team in front of them in team meetings and say, look,
turn on the film and watch this the run game
for instance, they're hit and miss on their blocking in
the run game. Yet they scored twenty seven points in
the team Houston that was leading the NFL and points
allowed at twelve a game coming in. So he's got

(12:23):
the benefit of a decent perch at five and two,
same record as the forty nine ers and the Rams
atop the NFC West. Yet he's got their attention for
how many things they have to improve. Now. The encouraging
thing is that if they could get any of these
things working together, if they can finally get a complete
game going, they should win games easily. But that's elusive

(12:48):
and that's hard, and not every team does it in
the NFL, which is why only one team raises the
trophy at the end.

Speaker 5 (12:53):
Well, yeah, obviously, the idea of being able to get
all things clicking right, I mean clicking on all still
is what they would like to be. But of the
things that they need to work on, what is in
this bye week when they have a bunch of time
where they're not necessarily trying to rest up or heal
and get ready for a game this weekend. What is
the thing that is paramount? Is it getting the run

(13:15):
game more consistent?

Speaker 4 (13:16):
Is it?

Speaker 5 (13:17):
You know, if there is lapses on defense that allow
teams to move the ball at all? What is it
do you think is paramount when they're trying to get
this extra work in.

Speaker 8 (13:27):
It's the run game, Bucky, It's what their identity is
supposed to be. It's how their offense is supposed to work,
and they're not working offensively the way they were designed,
the way they brought in Klak Kubiak and John Benton
and Rick Dennison and new line coaches. I mean, they
junked their entire offense and turned it over to run
the ball, and they aren't doing it consistently. You look

(13:49):
at the numbers and what was it one hundred and
nineteen yards rushing the other night. That's a couple of
games now that I've been like, what how they get
one hundred yards? Looked up in the third fourth cour
in Kenneth Walker suddenly had sixty seven yards rushing, Like
where did that come from? Because he's running to a
brick wall and then getting taken out in the middle
of drives of the game, So some of the numbers

(14:13):
aren't set telling the whole story on how they're running
the ball. And there's still so many defensive players in
the hole at the line of scrimmage when the running
backs are trying to make their cuts through the I mean,
it's not working. There's a couple spurts in the middle
of games that praise their numbers a little bit, but

(14:36):
I mean when it's fourth and one and they're doing
a rollout pass and an eighteen year pass to Smith
and Jigua, that tells me that they're broken in the
run game. That's not how they're supposed to play and
they supposed to Well, what I mean by that is
they completely redesigned themselves and dedicated themselves to running the ball,

(14:57):
and they're still passing the ball on fourth and one.
It's just not it's not working. And McDonald said, we're
still searching, that's what his term was after the game.
We're still searching for the right rhythm, the right blocking,
the right targeting, the consistency, and the run game just

(15:17):
isn't there. Donald and Smith and Jigba had been so
good in the past game that it has covered up
some of these flaws and inconsistencies in the run. Get
can they win this way?

Speaker 4 (15:27):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (15:27):
They have one this way. I still submit they can't
win the NFC West this way.

Speaker 3 (15:32):
Craig bellis with us, our Seahawks insigner. Of course, you
can follow a Seahawks coverage at the Newstribune dot com
and at g Bell Seattle. They're on X with us
nearly every day at seven five here on the Chuck
and Buck radio program. So I think about how bad
this team looked defensively against Tampa and how good they've
looked since, and still without Devin Witherspoon in the lineup,

(15:55):
and you know, Julian Love has missed a lot of
the last month of the season. How much credit do
we give to the getting back to Mike McDonald defense,
just to the coach and his system. And how much
credit do we have to reserve, if any, to guys
like Tyle Katta and Drake Thomas for stepping up and

(16:16):
improved play, because I don't think that we thought a
lot of them back in the preseason, and yet they're
the guys that are filling these holes left by star
players that are getting the jobs done right now, Yeah.

Speaker 8 (16:27):
They are, and Okada in particular, has really improved within
the season. At the beginning of the season, they picked
on him and forty nine ers went right after him
when he came in. Was an injury replacement during the game,
and he's a short tackler. He's always in the right place.

(16:48):
McDonald talks a lot about how he does everything right,
how he prepares, how he practices his leadership within the
defense during a play and communication, and he's just a
really sound player technically proficient in what McDonald wants him
to do. In the middle of the back of the defense,

(17:09):
Drake Thomas has basically benched Tyree Knight. Tyree's Knight was
a starter last year as a rookie, and Thomas has
replaced him. And McDonald is using those two, especially Thomas,
as an example to the rest of the team of hey,
if you practice well and you do everything we ask
you to do, and then you perform when you were

(17:30):
pressed into service, you're going to play and over a
rookie draft pick. Last year, the drafted Tyree's Knight in
the middle rounds and he was starting and now he's not.
Those are two really good examples he can point to
and say, hey, you do your job, You're going to
play now. Ocada of course wouldn't be playing if Julian

(17:50):
Love was healthy. But suffice to say they have taken
full advantage of their opportunities. But to your former point,
McDonald's system works if you can plug and play Okada
and Thomas and go without your starters in the secondary
since the first four players of the season and still

(18:12):
perform this way on defense, the system something they're doing,
something right. The players have to play. But the players
keep talking about McDonald his system, how smart it is,
how it changes every week for the opponent, and the
opponents can't really get a read on what the Seaharks
are going to do from one week to the next
defensively because they change so much, and he's always got

(18:35):
to move in an attacking and at the snap. We
talked about how they move it the snap and they
confuse the offense and they just are always pressing the
offense and no matter who's plan it. That's a credit
to the coaching staff into Mike McDonald's system as well.
And Hugh has talked about Humillan has talked about this

(18:57):
a lot. The similarities to how this defense in Seattle
has mirrored what McDonald did the first two seasons in Baltimore.
Is the defensive cordnerat are striking how they struggle at
the beginning. They then had to find the right personnel,
including the middle linebackers Patrick Queen and Baltimore and it's
Ernest Jones and Seattle. And as soon as they found

(19:17):
that middle linebacker, the defense took off. And the numbers
of the last half of last season through the beginning
of this season are remarkably similar to Baltimore. They are
prone to inconsistencies. The injuries and tackling issues have caught
up to them at times, in the Tampa Bay game
being the most glaring example of that. But as we're

(19:39):
saying with Baker Mayfield across the league, he's ripped up
a lot of defenses, pretty much all the defenses he
plays right now, and so there may be some of
it is that they just had a player that was
better than they were that day.

Speaker 5 (19:50):
Gee, I didn't get to watch this last game quite
as closely as as I. Yeah, I don't know if
very many people around town did watch it like they
normally would.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
And yet when I kind of sift through some stuff.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
You look at Nick even Warry's stats, and he just
had a couple of tackles and a couple of assistant tackles.
I mean, is he's still living up to the expectations
that they had hoped for in training camp and beginning
the season before he got hurt.

Speaker 8 (20:17):
Yeah, I think he's even better because of how much
time he missed. He's ahead of where they probably thought
he might be. The high ankle sprain and he missed
multiple games. He was basically starting over here a couple
of weeks ago when he came back and it looked
like he'd been.

Speaker 10 (20:31):
Playing the whole time.

Speaker 8 (20:33):
He's a shore tackler. He tackles in the alleys. The
term that Mike McDonald's to do. The alley is basically
where receivers would run a seam route, and it's from
a slot the slot position of an offensive formation down
the middle of the defense than those rails of the
inside the hash marks is basically the alley, and in

(20:56):
that space is where they are missing. Hadn't been missing
a lot of tackles. Well, when they throw the ball
or runs off tackle, come into that alley. Nick even
worey tackles dudes, and they go straight down. He made
it played the other night. Since you were focused on Toronto,
you might not have noticed it. It was a past
about fifteen or twenty yards down the field over the

(21:17):
middle that even Worry peeled back on and dived across
from his right to his left and broke up the
pass almost with his face mask because he had dived
so far across in front of the receiver's faith and
then he used his shoulder to knock off the receiver
as he was deflecting the ball. It looked in physicality

(21:40):
almost like Cam Chancellor and the Cam Chancer. Comparison really
is at because of how sure of a tackler he's
been so far on a team that has been very
inconsistent tackling, he has stood out as maybe their most
consistent tackler in the short time he's played. Yesterday, we
thought we were talking, I know McDonald about the nickelback situation,

(22:02):
and I asked him, well, because even where is the
primary nickel right now? I said, is he the nickel
because Witherspoon has been playing, or is he the nickel
because he's earned it? And he said he's earned it,
and he said it's an interesting question for when Witherspoon
comes back, which they think it'll be the next game
after the by November second at Washington, a week from

(22:23):
Sunday Sunday night game. By the way, it'll be an
interesting McDonald said, it'll be an interesting dilemma for them,
a good problem to have, and who they're gonna put
as the primary Nickel. I think it's gonna be even worry.
I think you're going to see more of Weatherspoon outside
with Josh Job and that Riquillan will beyond man out again.

Speaker 3 (22:41):
Well, you've been doing double dipping as a little light
covering two teams at once. You've been internationally jet setting
all over and so how are you gonna treat your
bye week? You're gonna take a little time off, a
little get away. The Bells always have an adventure up
their sleeves.

Speaker 10 (22:57):
There we do.

Speaker 8 (22:58):
Uh yeah, probably my wife's working through the rest of
the week, so I'll be around. But yeah, we'll probably
gonna go somewhere Saturday night and the Sunday to get
away for a night. We maybe some mountain biking. And
she really likes WINATCHI now she likes going up to
that area and restaurants and the mountain biking and the weather.
It's usually dryer over there, so we might go over

(23:19):
there if it's not too rain. I it's supposed to
rain and be pretty windy this weekend, but it is
cool in the NFL season to have a break. The
players really enjoy it. There is a recharging when they
come back. It's a little bit like mini spring break,
a bit for school kids.

Speaker 4 (23:37):
Well, I think there are gonna be two of them
in the future, just to just.

Speaker 8 (23:40):
Yeah, you're right about that. Yeah, eighteen games, and they're
really pushing this international stuff too. There's two more new
international cities they are teasing, might be on the horizon
next year, and eventually they want to have sixteen international
games a year, with each team playing in the thirty
two teams playing sixteen games overseas every year.

Speaker 3 (24:00):
Oh yeah, oh it's coming all right, Greg, thank you,
we appreciate it, and we will bug you again of course.

Speaker 4 (24:07):
Yeah. Wednesday, Wednesday. Yeah, it's hard to keep track these days.

Speaker 8 (24:13):
All right.

Speaker 3 (24:13):
There he is Greg Bell, our Sihawks insider, and his
segment is brought to you now by the Delacado family wines.
They offer a portfolio of premium wines from a selection
of the most desirable vineyards from notable wine growing regions
in California, Germany, and Chile. The winery harvest grapes for
more than six thousand acres of estate vineyards in California's Napa, Lodie, Monterey,

(24:39):
and Sonoma regions to craft wines that express the diversity
of these appellations. Delacato Family Wines the greg Bell Family
wine of choice right here on kJ R. Coming up next,
we'll play some factor fiction at seven thirty five. We'll
also talk about somebody who might have slipped through the
cracks of criticism for or what happened Monday night on

(25:02):
the Mariners. Maybe we should shine a light on this issue.

Speaker 4 (25:06):
Next.

Speaker 3 (25:07):
Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM, your.

Speaker 11 (25:11):
Own for Husky football, probably present our weekly visit with
a voice of the Dogs, Cam Cleveland. How Yeah, let's
go rut to you by Warrior Injury, Long Battle Tested.

Speaker 4 (25:24):
Now here's chucking bug with a former.

Speaker 11 (25:26):
Husky tight end on Sports Radio ninety three point three
kJ R FUN.

Speaker 8 (25:32):
Hi.

Speaker 3 (25:33):
Yes, our segment every week with Cam Cleveland, brought to
you by Warrior Injury, Long Battle tested and yes, uh
you dub gets ready to try and bounce back from
that lost to Michigan, but they're going to have to
face a real titan in the college football world. One
hundred years of dominance, the Illinois fighting a line. I
grown up in the shadow of that.

Speaker 4 (25:53):
You know that specter.

Speaker 3 (25:55):
Oh, it was very intimidating. Dick Budkis, Redgrange, Jason Verdus
go the list of legends, just on and on and the.

Speaker 4 (26:07):
Word dominance and see if it means what I thought it.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
It needs to be really average for about a century,
then yeah, it is dominant then. So anyway, Cam's shaking
in his boots joining us now on the program, the
former Husky tight end Cam Cleveland.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
How are you, sir?

Speaker 12 (26:24):
I'm doing okay, gentlemen. I apologize for last week. I
was emotionally distracted with the maritors and travel, and this
week I'm here to make it up, even though I'm
still emotionally distraught. But we'll get over it, all right,
we will overcome all right?

Speaker 3 (26:38):
Did what were you doing Monday? What were you doing
Monday as you were watching the game, And how did
you really feel when that thing came to an end?

Speaker 12 (26:48):
I was sitting at about the twenty yard line watching
the Seahawks at the.

Speaker 10 (26:54):
At the game.

Speaker 12 (26:54):
The whole time, I had my phone opened and two
guys were on the radio in front of me and
my phone was behind so I'm like, shut up, let
me want And then then he would tell me. And
I'm just emotionally distraught at every pitch, every time. My
heart rate was not that high in quite some time.
But yes, I'm still.

Speaker 10 (27:13):
A little bit. I'm I'm reeling a little bit.

Speaker 12 (27:16):
But like all of us Mariner fans, we were never
gonna quit. Man, as long as I'm upright, I'm never quitting, never,
never quitting in the belief.

Speaker 5 (27:24):
Yeah, well understandably. So would you have made the same
pitching changes now that you think back about.

Speaker 12 (27:29):
It, you know, I I don't know if I would
have thrown that hanging curveball that that WU did.

Speaker 10 (27:36):
That's that's the I.

Speaker 12 (27:37):
Mean, you're thinking, you're thinking hard, hard heart. I mean, okay,
we don't have to go into baseball analysis. Nobody checks
into your can talk baseball, but just don't show the
ball down right there, just and that in Springer's Springer
I've hated him since the Astros he can pound sand
with someone hitting a garbage can with him. I don't know, Springer,
he's good, He's good.

Speaker 3 (27:56):
Yeah, maybe that maybe there was a garbage can related
for that Ardo pitch. All right, well let's talk about
let's talk some Muskies football.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
How deflating was it Saturday?

Speaker 3 (28:07):
With I think an expectation that, man, this is a
really good chance to get ourselves a signature win on
the road in the big top ten conference against one
of the top brands in the entire sport. I don't
care if they're a little bit down to be able
to pull out this victory, gets us in the top
twenty five rankings next week, all of that stuff on
the line, and then to just play as poorly as

(28:30):
they did.

Speaker 4 (28:30):
How much did that deflate cam Cleveland?

Speaker 10 (28:34):
Well, I was guys.

Speaker 12 (28:35):
I was more interested in seeing what the team was
going to do. Of course, understanding how slow the start was.
We went on the road last time, and you play
at Maryland and it takes a fourth quarter comeback. I'm like,
all right, Dave, listen, they've they've learned. You're facing a
big time opponent. You're facing a freshman quarterback, a true
freshman quarterback, and Bryce under was very good player for

(28:56):
a freshman, but our quarterback is better. As I watch
the game evolve, I looked at mistakes. I looked at
things that you could see from false starts and critical situations,
early turnovers. But you were in those moments, and what
good teams you can't You can't. There's no way you
can allow yourself to have those mistakes and expect to

(29:17):
win football games, especially on the road. So the disappointment
to me was the finishing and things that are glaring
and some of the mistakes that need to be cleaned up.
I mean, Coach Walters talked about it in the press conference,
Coach fish has talked about it's not anything that they
don't understand and see you would like to see that
be able to be taken care of on the road

(29:38):
in those big games. And right now it's the big
game loom of not being able to win one on
the road against a big, a quality opponent, and Michigan
is a quality opponent, and those are the games that
matter if you want to make the college football playoff.

Speaker 5 (29:52):
Cam I was watching, I watched majority of the first
quarter before I had to go to a really thrillian
eight U soccer game, and then I came back and
watched the.

Speaker 4 (30:02):
Rest of it. Yeah, it was amazing, I tell you what.

Speaker 5 (30:06):
And yet when I was walking out the door, I
was kind of underwhelmed by the way in which I
had seen him play. As a matter of fact, the
last play that I saw was a Demon Williams past
that really should have been a pick six, and the
guy dropped it. He did not play his best game.
I mean, what did you see out of him that
concerns you?

Speaker 12 (30:25):
Well, I had, I don't know this for certain. So guys,
like I said, I don't spend time in the training room,
I don't ask the coaches. I don't talk about injuries.
It goes back to my feeling about what coach Belichick
always taught us and said, we don't talk about injuries.
But I do think something there. I don't know it
in my heart, but I feel like Demond had had a.

Speaker 10 (30:45):
Few things that he was protecting.

Speaker 12 (30:47):
Because he took over a game in the previous week
of five hundred and thirty eight yards of offense, which
was incredible, and then in this game, Michigan is a
good defense.

Speaker 10 (30:56):
They're not Ohio State defense.

Speaker 12 (30:58):
They're very good upfront, but there are moments that I
looked and I did not see him get out of
the pocket as often. I saw him a little more hesitant.
They had one design run early in the first quarter
and it got blown up. The throws, You're right, some
of the throws needed to be a little bit more placed.
But I'm not asking him to be perfect. And here's

(31:22):
here's my fact analysis of it. When I see a
five five eleven, five to ten and I stood next
to demand, he's not massive.

Speaker 10 (31:30):
He's not six', five he's.

Speaker 12 (31:31):
Not Peyton, manning he's not some of these guys that are.
Big for him to be great in the, pocket it
has to be. Well it has to be efficient and.
Quick it cannot be a young. Man and as you watch,
him he gets a lot of depth even and. Gun
he has to get depth because he has to have
throwing lanes and.

Speaker 10 (31:51):
Vision this is.

Speaker 12 (31:53):
Facts and, Physics, okay hype and vision is a big
deal to be able to win from the. Pocket if
you're going to be a smaller, quarterback the ball has
to be efficiently out. Quicker it has to be in
thousand and one thousand, two and at that point he
needs to.

Speaker 10 (32:07):
Be out of the.

Speaker 12 (32:08):
Pocket either moving, right moving, left or sliding up and
getting out of. There and in those moments when he,
holds it's just the coverage is. There he can't see
through those. Windows and that's not a downtrodden. Thing it's
not saying he can't be great in. Elite but his
talent is his speed and. Athleticism that is his unbelievable.

(32:29):
Talent and so that has to mean if he's not
taking advantage of, that something's.

Speaker 3 (32:34):
Bothering Cam cleland Is wather's Former husky tied end and
current color analysts During husky's broadcast right here all the
Flagship Sports radio ninety three point THREE KJR, fm help
me to explain how you have an offensive minded head
coach and yet and this team has, scored you, know

(32:55):
thirty eight points Against rutgers, recently twenty four points Against maryland,
recently they've shown some offensive, potency but it never gets started.
Early zero points at halftime Against. Maryland haven't scored in
the first quarter in the last four. Games why does this,
team with such a talented group of skill players at

(33:16):
the very, minimum get off to such slow starts offensively every?

Speaker 10 (33:20):
Week, well, again these are premium.

Speaker 12 (33:24):
Questions AND i can, SPECULATE i could give my, opinion
and that's probably why you have me on. Here BUT
i look at the loss at left. Tackle the loss
at left Tackle carver is a big, deal and then
you Lose John, mills AND I Poki fina is very very.

Speaker 10 (33:38):
Good he can he can handle.

Speaker 12 (33:39):
It but WHEN i watch this, team the most concerning
the layering thing that stand out to me is not
one hundred yards From Jonah coleman SINCE C. Davis that
to me is it's a travesty because you can't get
the run game going on the. Inside and if you
watch the runs and if you see Coach fish and
how he calls, offense it is a. Profense remember the

(34:01):
remember when he, said come be a. Pro it's not
about just being a. Pro it's about we're going to
train you on what it's like to be in AN
nfl atmosphere with AN nfl. Offense, well other other places
and other things called different styles of, Offense Ohio. State
you Watch, michigan there's a lot of move there's a
lot of uh, uh what do we called? Boots there's active,

(34:22):
cuts tight ends from the. Flat that is not professional.
Offense that is What oregon runs, also And i'm not
saying one is, better but if you can't run the
football in that style of, offense you don't set up
your play. Action WHEN i talk about Coach, fishon that
means every one of the inside runs That Jonah coleman
does are inside quick inside zone. Handoffs those aren't play.

(34:46):
Action and then when you get an eye, formation you Lost,
eldridge who is your FULLBACK. F you Lost Quinton, moore
and now you have no blocking tight, end no disrespect
to what what you're looking And decker To graft is
a very good vertical scene pass catching tight. End she
is not quinting more on the. Edge so now you

(35:08):
lose your edge, blocker which is massive when you talk
about running outside zones and power because he can handle
the stand up edge or a three technique or a
five technique on his. Own he doesn't need double team.
Help eldridge goes, out who's your third team tight?

Speaker 10 (35:23):
End who's YOUR?

Speaker 12 (35:24):
F so now you lose your inside runs with Lead
so everything's down TO qb RUN qb draw inside zone
With Jonah, coleman and he lost your two left offensive.
Linemen So i've a state the obvious, guys when you
lose your best, players you have to adapt and adjust
on how you call, offense and Coach fish is trying

(35:44):
to adjust very quickly during the game and find rhythms,
somehow some.

Speaker 5 (35:49):
Way another thing that was kind of popped out AS
i was watching it. Back it was just the way
in which they ran against The husky. DEFENSE i mean it. Was,
yeah they end up having one hundred and eighty seven.
Yards one of The Jordan, marshall who's their backup running,
back goes for one thirty. Three but there wasn't a
bunch of huge long, runs. Right typically sometimes you can

(36:12):
explain a big number like that one hundred and thirty
three yards, rushing BUT i mean as long as one
was fourteen yards out of twenty five. Carries so it
was more of to, me like the wheelbreaking type of.
Runs is there a concern that there's just not enough
beef upfront or are they not playing?

Speaker 4 (36:27):
Well is the concept?

Speaker 5 (36:28):
Wrong why are they giving up as much as they
are on the, ground because that seems to be really.

Speaker 12 (36:32):
Hurtful, yeah and it's death by a thousand, Cuts but
that is a design of What big ten football. Is
Coach fish did a great job in his press conference, explaining,
Guys big ten football is sixty to sixty five. Plays
Old pac twelve gentleman was eighty five. Plays, okay so

(36:54):
that's another four to five. Possessions if you do the
map on four to five possessions in, tempo excuse, me
that equates to big numbers like thirty to thirty. Five you're,
seeing like he, said twenty to twenty four point. Games
this is how football has evolved and. Flipped and that's you,
know the days of the high Speed remember the games

(37:16):
In oklahoma where you'd get fifty to fifty six and
you're looking at, say, oh who cares about? Defense Even
Lean riley figured that out AT Usc he, SAID i
guess we better play Some defense's that's somewhat, important but
you slow the game. Down so to answer your, question
this team.

Speaker 10 (37:34):
Did a great job of holding in the. Moment you got.

Speaker 12 (37:38):
Off the field on multiple multiple. Opportunities on fourth, down
you held them on fourth and. One you gave your
team an. Opportunity this is a possession based conference, now
and to beat the top top two, teams top three,
teams you have to be efficient with those. Possessions and right,
now that's what we're not winning to have sixty plays
in a game that changes everything sixty to sixty five

(38:01):
because you don't have the luxury for those big explosive
plays to catch. Up another thing is you have to
get ahead of. Teams and here's the final answer that
will make sense if you put teams on the. Ropes
the reason Why michigan got behind WITH usc AND usc
put pressure on them early and scored. Early they had
to get out of that style of. Offense they couldn't

(38:22):
go three yards four yards tight end to the flat
tight end on shallow. Cross they had to try to
get chunky With Bryce underwood and he's not ready for.
That so to answer your, question the best way to
take care of our defense right now is to get
ahead on offense and make the other team's offense feel
the pressure to get out of their.

Speaker 3 (38:39):
Rhythm Cam cleveland is with us here On checkingbuck in the.
Morning so the real, upset the real headline In cam's
comments is That Lincoln riley has learned something since being AT.

Speaker 4 (38:50):
Usa. Wow, wow that's a hot.

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Debate maybe there, maybe, yeah maybe maybe very debatable hard
maybe on this.

Speaker 10 (39:00):
Job if he likes. It he likes his job And
les living At Laguna. Beach you better figure out how
to play. Defense, YEAH i mean that might be.

Speaker 3 (39:09):
CLOSER i certainly want to save some time at the
end to talk about the matchup With, Illinois But i've
got to. Ask I've i've been dying to ask a
college football, person specifically this all week. Long The jedfish coaching,
rumors whether they are true.

Speaker 4 (39:25):
Or, not they're out there right.

Speaker 3 (39:26):
Now AND i also Watched nebraska play their worst game
of the year this past, week and it just so
happened to be on a week That James franklin was
fired and that their head coach was being connected To Penn.
State And i'm just curious your experience as a, player
as an, analyst loving college football your entire, life and

(39:48):
being a lot closer to it than any of the
three of us. Are what kind of distraction is that
for eighteen to twenty two year, olds even in THE
nil transfer portal, era to just here that your coach
might not be happy being your head.

Speaker 4 (40:04):
Coach how does that impact a? Roster?

Speaker 10 (40:08):
Uh video? Guy it?

Speaker 12 (40:13):
Does look everything now moves way too, Quickly it just.
Does from THESE nil. Agents and you mean to tell
me that from A, Twitter i'm sorry x, now or
social media as fast as.

Speaker 10 (40:26):
It, moves but the communication moves.

Speaker 12 (40:28):
Really, quickly and guys sit in the locker room and
you can look on your phone and within seconds you
found out your coach left and you didn't.

Speaker 10 (40:34):
Even get an answer from your.

Speaker 12 (40:35):
Coach so, yes it does are Very it looked they
made a choice to be part of. YOU a coach
came into their, house sat down with your, parents had
a couple of, coffee and, Said i'm committed.

Speaker 10 (40:46):
To you and your.

Speaker 12 (40:46):
FAMILY i want you to be, here And i'm going
to be here to take care of your. Son and
then five minutes earlier, later he walks out of the
door and takes a job and gets on a. Plane
and that's just how this job in this world. Works,
now it's, unfortunate but that's the real. World so, yeah
it does affect these young. Players and that's WHY i

(41:07):
battle with the mindset of telling these youngsters to be fully,
committed AND i want them to be one hundred percent
because once you're a, husky you're always a. Husky BUT
i think you should fall in love with the school
and coaches are their job is to get these young
men ready and do his best they, can BUT i
also can't. Fall coaches wanted to climb and wanted to

(41:27):
get better and challenge themselves and go make.

Speaker 10 (41:30):
More so it's it's.

Speaker 8 (41:33):
Very very.

Speaker 12 (41:34):
Difficult but also now with the college football, playoff, guys
you don't have to have a perfect. Record you can
get in with. Two we might see a three lost
team get in in the. Future so is there going
to be distractions throughout a? Season, yeah, yeah there. Is
and what DO i think that? COACH i think he's
doing a great. JOB i think he needs to do
everything he can to be the great leader that he
is for this team right. Now but distractions are always

(41:56):
going to be, there and if you're, good someone's going
to want your coach got, Say Skirt signetti was offered
almost one hundred million dollars In indiana What indiana?

Speaker 8 (42:07):
FOOTBALL i? Mean say that with.

Speaker 10 (42:08):
Me, god that's.

Speaker 12 (42:09):
Insane it just doesn't make any. SENSE i, went Did
Bobby knight come back in reincarnate in?

Speaker 10 (42:17):
FOOTBALL i don't.

Speaker 12 (42:18):
Know So i'm baffled by about a month that is
in this sport right now and the people that are
putting billions of dollars into college. Football it's a great
time to be a young, Athlete i'll tell you. That
and a, coach it really is.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
All, right last, minute give us a thumbnail sketch of
This illinois opponent On.

Speaker 12 (42:37):
Saturday, well it's It's Brett. Vielman if you ever watch
any of his style of, football you'll see that they're
two losses in a ranked. Team so that that matters
because he knows how to. Coach but it's the LINE i,
are they can be, beat no. Question it's really going
to come down to what's our health going to look?
Like And i'm Gonna i'm gonna say this the rest

(42:58):
of the, season we will live and. Die in my,
opinion with How demand carries himself in this, game he's
put himself on a shoulder as he carries.

Speaker 10 (43:08):
The team's energy and the speed and the. Tempo he
has that kind of.

Speaker 12 (43:12):
Athleticism SO i like to see him be able to
take advantage of his defense because they are they are
a good, defense but they're not a great. Defense and
then from our defensive perspective versus their, offense it just
is it is there going to be the ability to
stop edge like edge contained tight ends in the Flat
AND i know Coach walters addressed that because if you

(43:34):
attack on, defense you have to be able to make
sure you go after their best athlete and sometimes the tight.
Ends nobody's looking at tight ends going, well we got
to stop that one. Guy so there's just so many
factors going to this football. Game but you got to
defend home turf. Boys we have to at this. Point
you're going to make a run late in the season
to get ready to be in position at the end

(43:58):
of the year Against. Oregon you need the home Game
bakers know.

Speaker 3 (44:00):
Tomorrow all, right, man thanks for your. Time we appreciate,
it and we will.

Speaker 4 (44:05):
Talk very very. Soon have fun This.

Speaker 10 (44:08):
Saturday appreciate. It thanks. Fellas all, Right.

Speaker 3 (44:11):
Cam cleveland joining us right here On chuck And buck
in the morning Kickoff. Saturday there at the greatest setting
will be at twelve, thirty which means The hanks will
get on the air at eight thirty with the. Pregame
washington Versus illinois is your, Matchup, saturday twelve thirty. Kickoff
wish it was going to be a beautiful fall day for,
that BUT i think we're get in, rain aren't we

(44:33):
for the next? Week, Ken, yeah so maybe some rainy
conditions for, that maybe it'llill benefit the.

Speaker 4 (44:40):
Dogs we shall, see all.

Speaker 3 (44:41):
Right coming up next on the radio, Program Angie mentink
stops by our final conversation with her in an official
capacity of The mariners. Season we'll get her. Thoughts i'm
dying to have them on how the season came to an.
End On, monday right here At Sports radio ninety three
point THREE, Kjrfm.

Speaker 11 (44:58):
Good sports brought you you BUY r AND R foundation
specialists providing expert foundation and waterproofing solutions Throughout Western. Washington
now With chuck And, buck Here's.

Speaker 3 (45:09):
Angie oh, yes we wish for better circumstances to chat
with root sports, Analysts Angie mincink here about Your Seattle.
Mariners we thought maybe this could be A World series preview,
conversation and instead it's a sad season ending.

Speaker 4 (45:27):
Conversation, angie how are? You how are you? Feeling?

Speaker 1 (45:31):
Oh this is, good this is good to talk through my,
feelings you, know because so Far i've just been eating
in you, know lots of chocolate and drinking lots of
wine and that it doesn't really helped me get.

Speaker 13 (45:43):
Anywhere but your.

Speaker 1 (45:45):
Intro maybe just be so sad, too because you announced
it as root. Sport, yeah and so like lots of
things just all of a sudden coming to an end
and making me me sad and happy at the same.

Speaker 3 (45:58):
Time, Though i'm, Well i'm, Sorry i'm, sorry but at
least there's some happiness in, there all, Right So monday,
happens you lose the. Game What's angie mintink if she
could race in front of the television? Camera what if
she can't wait to talk about.

Speaker 1 (46:13):
WHAT i can't wait to talk? ABOUT i, mean how
do you how do you go through? This and you,
KNOW i think if you would have talked to me right,
afterwards probably be a little bit different about WHAT i feel.
NOW i, mean, hindsight you, know gives you a little
bit more, clarity you know that the frustration of how it,
ENDED i, mean it was just a couple of fistfuls

(46:34):
of outs away from a world. Series you, Know it's
just it was just so close and it was, there
and it just seems so cool to have it ripped
away like it, was, especially you, know somebody Like George
springer where you know this this fan base just frosts.
Over BUT i think that you, know you have to

(46:54):
continue to take an inventory and remember just everything that
was so magical about this. SEASON i, mean this was
so much fun to be a part, of to go
along on the, ride AND i, MEAN i will you
will Never we'll be talking about this team for for
decades and about the things that we saw Caw rawley

(47:18):
do And julio and the impact That Josh naylor made
and and you, Know Gino's Grand slam In game. Six
so there's just so many things to love about this,
season even though you just absolutely wore how it.

Speaker 4 (47:32):
Ended, yeah the, yeah the way in which it.

Speaker 5 (47:35):
ENDED i, Mean i'm an optimistic, guy and So i'll
end up finding this over. Lining and yet right now
it's still kind of just hurts to the point where
it's it's hard to go to a positive. PLACE a
lot of people just can't wait to throw blame right,
around And i'm not necessarily.

Speaker 4 (47:51):
ONE i just kind of feel like you got.

Speaker 5 (47:53):
Beat you, know they came out and had one better
swing than you, did, essentially if you want to look
at it like. That and yet there's, reason you, know
there's room for criticism to, fair to be, fair is?
IT i, mean do you see a way in which
possibly you would have done it? Differently if you were
In dan's.

Speaker 1 (48:10):
Position, YEAH i think that you, Know Dan wilson is
not going to be the same manager in year one
because this is his first full year managing that he
is going to be in in year two even or
year five or year. TEN i don't care who you
are as a, manager you, evolve you get, better you,

(48:31):
learn and you know there's things you, know with with
hindsight that he's going to look back and and know
that he probably will do. Differently you, know trust himself
a little bit. MORE i, MEAN i think you know
there were times in this THIS alcs he would be
the first one to tell you, that you, know he

(48:52):
was probably too slow to you, know pull some, guys
too quick to pull. Others and then you, know in
that situation and then you, know we'll be talking about
it for.

Speaker 8 (49:02):
Most of the off.

Speaker 1 (49:03):
Season you, know he puts in his third best picture
instead of his best picture in that situation with the
game on the, line and you, know you think About
springer and what he's been able to do here in
the month Of. October he's been. Good AND i don't
want to take anything away From George. Springer nine of
his eleven hiss In october have been for extra, basis
but he is an extremely dangerous, hitter and in that,

(49:24):
SITUATION i, think you, know you want your your very
best guy to face. Him AND i, think you, know
even Though dan's going to put on face because he
wants to, Believe, Hey, bizartos our, guy he's been able
to do, this you, KNOW i THINK i think that's
going to eat at.

Speaker 6 (49:42):
Him.

Speaker 4 (49:42):
Yeah, Yeah i'm right there with.

Speaker 3 (49:44):
You AND i, mean and if Not, munyos THEN i
had more faith Than Brian wu getting out of the
situation because we've watched him do it so many.

Speaker 4 (49:53):
Times, yeah he.

Speaker 1 (49:55):
Struck him out on three pitches in the previous at,
that so you, know HE i think, that you, KNOW i,
mean you can go back and again that's what that's
what you know, people it's easy to, do but you
manage the game in the, moment and those are the
decisions he. Made BUT i, MEAN i thought THAT i
thought That kirby looked really. GOOD i, thought you, KNOW

(50:18):
i think that that The Toronto Blue jays literally had
the corners of their mouth curl when he left the
game BECAUSE i think he was that.

Speaker 8 (50:27):
Good he, was he was.

Speaker 1 (50:28):
Fantastic and could have maybe gotten another inning out of,
him maybe brought In wu a little bit. LATER i,
mean there's just a lot of different. Things but, again
LIKE i, SAID i think the one thing that that you,
know you continue to sort of just look at and, Think,
okay with the game on the, line you know this.
Isn't you, know you manage things differently in the. Postseason

(50:49):
you know this. Isn't he's not the pivot guy. Anymore we.
Don't we don't do. That we we you, know we
find the best guy in this situation because the, game the,
season every thing is on the. Line so who's going
to help. Us who's going to be the best in
that situation at the.

Speaker 5 (51:05):
TIME i think you're the perfect person to put on this.
TASK i, mean we got to figure out a way
to Get Josh naylor to stick around here obviously first
year being a fur blown free, agent and YET i,
MEAN i don't know if you, can you, know get
him an edible arrangement OR i don't, know gift card to.
Somewhere you, know, people what do we have to? DO i,

(51:28):
mean in all, honesty what do we have to do
to Have stanton and?

Speaker 1 (51:30):
Companies three very inappropriate Ones he's for his new SON i,
MEAN i, Try i'm doing you, Know, okay so you've
started this.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
ALREADY i think you're.

Speaker 1 (51:43):
RIGHT i mean when you look at the success of
this team and what was missing in this, team and
there's no doubt about it, That, like you, Know cal
is such a huge, leader you, know on this, team
But josh coming, IN i mean he changed. THINGS i
mean he changed the way guys played the. GAME i

(52:04):
mean he taught little tiny. THINGS i saw for the
first time in his. CAREER i Saw julio take the
inner angle running to you, know second base when he
was getting picked, off.

Speaker 8 (52:18):
You know WHAT i.

Speaker 1 (52:18):
Mean, LIKE i saw the impact Of Josh naylor and
it was not. Small SO i hope.

Speaker 4 (52:26):
That he loved it.

Speaker 1 (52:27):
HERE i know everybody loved, him AND i think he
is so much of what this team was. Missing and
again they Have. Cal he's a fantastic, leader leads the,
staff you, know but he has a lot on his
plate just on the pitching side of. Things and then you,
know being a switch hitter and everything, else you, know

(52:48):
somebody else to fire everybody else up and really realize
that all those little things in the game add up
to the big. Part that's What Josh naylor is to.

Speaker 3 (52:58):
Me oh, MAN i love that last game that he.
PLAYED i, mean and he, did and he had ONE
rbi hit and he was trying to ambush pitches all
night long on the very first pitch so offensively he
didn't like.

Speaker 4 (53:07):
Stack the step box there the box, score but.

Speaker 3 (53:12):
Everything he did from picking a ground of bad throw
FROM jp that we don't even recognize in the moment
to the line drives that he caught over at first
base because he was positioned, properly to taking a ball
to the noggin because he's, like why, not let's see
if they don't, call Maybe i'll just break up a
double play by putting my face in the.

Speaker 4 (53:29):
WAY i, mean it just.

Speaker 3 (53:31):
Was everything you want back next, year and the sparkly
shoes on top of.

Speaker 1 (53:36):
It, YEAH i, mean the sparkly shoes are just a.
BONUS i mean, AGAIN i don't, KNOW i know The
marriers want. HIM i don't know what the.

Speaker 14 (53:47):
You, know what the free agent market is going to offer.

Speaker 1 (53:49):
Him But i'm hoping that he liked to hear because,
again we left.

Speaker 14 (53:55):
YOU i left the ball off the helmet was just,
like there you, go There's Josh. Naylor you know WHAT
i mean that right there sums it up Like i'm
going to take one off of the dome so you
can't turn a double.

Speaker 7 (54:08):
Play, yeah you, know fight. ME i, mean he's just.

Speaker 3 (54:13):
There are there are many athletes who are the flashiest
and the grittiest at the exact same. Time and uh
And Josh naylor actually is that are and the slowest
and the slowest and yet some the smartest Like Vicky, henderson.

Speaker 4 (54:27):
You, know stealing thirty.

Speaker 3 (54:28):
Bases it's just, unbelievable all, right in our last minute
that we have with, you and of course we're going
to bug you throughout the off. Season but you DID
i did mention the root sports. Thing you did mention
the sadness hearing. That how can we end this? Conversation
how CAN i ask you about your future without invading
your privacy too?

Speaker 10 (54:48):
Much?

Speaker 1 (54:48):
Here oh, WELL i mean for those people that that
load me and hate, me you're going to be. Disappointed
and for those people that want to keep the band,
together you're and be. Happy so you, know, Yeah i'm
excited about the, future just like The. Mariners you, know
learned a lot this, season you, know doing something for

(55:11):
the first, time and AND i was not as good
AS i, WAS i will ever be at the analyst.
Role it was just my first, season So i'm really
excited to stay at it and keep getting.

Speaker 4 (55:21):
Better all, Right, well.

Speaker 3 (55:24):
We are excited to have you in our, Lives i'll
tell you that. Much it's been a grandnother great. Season
thank you so, much and we will be bugging you
again real.

Speaker 4 (55:32):
Soon all, right you got.

Speaker 1 (55:34):
It and just a, REMINDER i, mean you think about
the nucleus and all the, names The, julio The, caw The,
woo The, gilbert The, miller The, munnos The, Brode, blift The,
randy The, JP's all the names that you know are
under club control for some. Time there is a really
talented team here in, place and you know good things
are are still ahead for this.

Speaker 8 (55:53):
Team.

Speaker 4 (55:54):
YEAH i THINK i.

Speaker 3 (55:55):
Just Read Jeff passing FROM espn saying this is not
the end for The. Mariners this is just the beginning
for The. Mariners there are a lot of people very
envious of what has been grown here In, seattle AND
i do believe it's just getting. Started all, Right, angie thank,
you you got. It take, care all, Right, Angie mentinka
with us right here On chuck And buck in the,

(56:15):
mornings and of course we're going to continue talking About
mariner topics as they pop into our. Heads we brought
up The Dan wilson situation With. ANGIE i want to
bring it up again Next Sports radio ninety three point THREE.

Speaker 4 (56:28):
Khrfm decision at the, end like in.

Speaker 3 (56:31):
The, MOMENT i didn't like, it write now notes like
why isn't it mun Yos bucky mentioned in the broadcast that,
night why not stick WITH? WU i like both of
those options so much better than the decision we, make
and that's with all due respect To Eddie bizardo and
the job that he did this past. Season but you,

(56:52):
know we just go with what we think in the post.
Game and THEN i did a morning show Before i'd
really heard other people analysis on this particular. Subject so
we've done two full shows Before i'd heard other, opinions
and since that, time From angie in our last, segment
To mark De Rosa yester midday morning ON Mlb, central

(57:13):
and pretty much everybody out, there the analysts whose opinions
THAT i admire and respect the most are.

Speaker 4 (57:19):
Just hammering him for this.

Speaker 3 (57:20):
Decision and it's making me angrier and angrier AS i
go as opposed to getting okay with.

Speaker 5 (57:25):
It, yeah, well in the, MOMENT i just liked the
idea of staying With wu even more Than. MUNYOS i,
mean think about What munhos did when he came. In
now he's been lights out and he didn't end up
getting hurt. There BUT i mean they had a pretty
good plan against. HIM i, mean there was a couple
of raked sliders when they did end up bringing him.
In so there's nothing guaranteeing that Would there's nothing guarantee

(57:47):
that anything different would have. Worked AND i ended up
kind of yesterday trying to find silver, linings trying to
find a way to reconcile a. Thing end up looking
into a bunch of different. Stats and DON'T i think
it would surprise people to find out That Eddie bizarda
was like eighth in all of baseball in stranding inherited,
runners like eighth of every relief pitcher that's out. THERE i, mean,

(58:10):
yeah You're Eroaldus chapman had a great year this. Year
he stranded eighty seven percent of the runners that he.
Inherited Eddie bizardo stranded eighty five percent of the runners.
Inherited that's that's stat right, there says and just think
about if he you, know bizarre, SAYS i threw that
same pitch to him and hit a groundball last. Time
this time he made the adjustment like a good hitter,

(58:33):
does like a really clutch hitter in the postseason. Does
and we're talking, about let's just say an inch difference
between that being a ground ball to third base and
you cut the runner down at home or you they
stop and stay there and you got one more guy
to go. To if would, have could, have should? Have
you know you're gonna kill yourself if you go through
that whole. Thing to, me it's like you've got to

(58:54):
make a decision and it can come back to haunt.
You this one is gonna come back To hanus and
it's going to kind of live in In Dan wilson
and all.

Speaker 4 (59:01):
Of our heads for.

Speaker 5 (59:02):
Forever and yet you know that stat was one that was,
like you know what you kind of he went, With who.

Speaker 4 (59:09):
HAVE i put in this situation? Before has it Been?

Speaker 5 (59:12):
Brian, well that's WHERE i think The brian wu, thing
even more than The munnos thing comes.

Speaker 3 (59:16):
In, WELL i THINK i think that's PROBLEM i haven't
a lot of people, have is that you can't manage
it like you have managed it. BEFORE i, mean it's
do or die game. Seven the playoffs are different to begin.
With game seven's are different than the rest of the.
Playoffs and the moment that you're getting ready to Face
George springer And Vladimir, guerrero hopefully for the last time
in the, series even if you don't even have runners

(59:37):
on base, YET i would think it would be actually
in the back of their heads to get your clothser
ready in case you have to Face springer Or guerrero
with runners on. Base we want best on best in
that moment to try and get that.

Speaker 7 (59:50):
Out, yeah AND i completely.

Speaker 6 (59:51):
AGREE i do think THAT i was listening to the,
broadcast and even on the broadcast they, said, well that's
interesting that they're bringing In bizardo and Not.

Speaker 7 (59:58):
Munnos you'd think you'd have your c are ready for this.

Speaker 6 (01:00:00):
Situation and then, yeah for them to not have even
had them warming up, IT i think the issue would
have been if they'd Left brian wu in and he
would have given up the home, run, well then it's
On Dan wilson for Leaving brian wou, in, right and
so then we're mad at him that.

Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
Way, yeah, right and so we'd.

Speaker 3 (01:00:17):
Probably even be mad if he Put munyos in and
he gave him the home. Run, ye why would you
put him in that?

Speaker 6 (01:00:21):
Circumstance we still would have, said why didn't you Leave Brian.
WUEN i, mean anything that happened giving up that home,
run we're going to question. It it's just especially because
that's the thing that ended our. Season that's the last
thing we have to think about until spring training starts In.

Speaker 7 (01:00:35):
February it's a long time to think about.

Speaker 3 (01:00:37):
It, YEAH i really believe he went into it with
a game plan of For, kirby get him out before
he faces the lineup the third, time because he's gotten
in trouble doing that in the.

Speaker 4 (01:00:46):
Past three With.

Speaker 3 (01:00:48):
WU i think they felt really good About, wu and
then two With, munyos and then LIKE i said yesterday
AND i said in the postgame, show and THEN i
Think spire was there if things went wrong And kirby's
last to get you out of trouble because he's used to.
That bizarta was going to be there eighty five percent
right stranded base runners to get you out If wu
got in any trouble in those three. Innings and THEN

(01:01:11):
i Think brash was going to be available because he's
the only other guy that's ever closed the game other Than,
munos to possibly get you out of that situation on
the back. END i think that was the game. PLAN
i think that's a pretty good game. Plan, yeah but
that's the thing about playoff. Baseball you've got to be
ahead of what's gonna happen. Next you gotta have be,
two three moves ahead because it even though the game moves,

(01:01:33):
slowly the game of, baseball, man those decisions come fast
when your season is on the. Line AND i don't
THINK i think he had a good. PLAN i don't
think that he was prepared for an audible as well
as he should have.

Speaker 4 (01:01:46):
BEEN i would agree with.

Speaker 3 (01:01:47):
That that's just Where i'm at with, it And i'm
not Getting i'm not feeling better about. It bucky's stats
are good and they, helped but it also leaves out.

Speaker 4 (01:01:56):
He thought that you Threw bizardo two innings the.

Speaker 3 (01:01:58):
Day before exactly probably probably wasn't Peak bizardo that we
even used in that.

Speaker 7 (01:02:03):
Situation why'd you use him in a meaningless game if
you needed him For game?

Speaker 4 (01:02:06):
Seven, Yeah SO i mean they're gonna, Rage they're gonna.

Speaker 3 (01:02:09):
RAGE i Just i'm not feeling better about it as
we get further away from, it and that's kind of.

Speaker 4 (01:02:13):
Strange all.

Speaker 3 (01:02:14):
Right coming up, next a major event happened in the
sports world last, night and we've been so busy that
we just kind of overlooked it. Yesterday but today we
will treat it as we normally treat. It it's time
to draft On chuck And Buck Sports radio ninety three
point three K a r F.

Speaker 4 (01:02:32):
M that's so CALLED nba experts in the. Building, Yeah
i've been here all.

Speaker 5 (01:02:44):

Speaker 6 (01:02:48):

tweeting about.

Speaker 4 (01:03:07):

Speaker 3 (01:03:09):
But now obviously he's passed the baton on to the
people AT, kcok was my.

Speaker 4 (01:03:15):

Speaker 3 (01:03:16):

Speaker 4 (01:03:57):
Event it started last.

Speaker 3 (01:03:58):
Night normally we would have been ahead of the, game
but we had too much to discuss yesterday on the radio,
program and so today we play a little bit of catch.
Up there are only two games in the, books, right
no big, deal no harm, done no, harm no. Foul
that's a basketball, expression is it. Not and so today
we preview The National Basketball association. Season it is, here

(01:04:21):
it is, underway and we do it like only we
do it here On chuck And. Buck and that's why
drafting time for Our Green Jacket. Draft we're going to
draft teams and whoever has the most wins with your
four teams that you draft at the end of the
year will win The Green. Jacket, now let's first update
us on we haven't done this in a, while on
how people are doing in our other green jacket. Drafts

(01:04:44):
ashley's really got a predicament here because she is two
home runs back Of Christopher kidd in our playoff home
Run Green jacket, draft and yet the only person that
she has on her roster to root for Is George.

Speaker 4 (01:04:59):
Spring oh you took?

Speaker 8 (01:05:01):
Him?

Speaker 6 (01:05:01):
Yeah do you know how grossed OUT i was by
every home run?

Speaker 7 (01:05:05):
Here like WHEN i was, like, yeah did Not.

Speaker 5 (01:05:11):
WOW i didn't realize it was all your. Fault, well
it's going to blame.

Speaker 6 (01:05:17):
EVERYTHING i lose everything anyway these, days so definitely not my.

Speaker 7 (01:05:20):
FAULT i should have been a curse to.

Speaker 4 (01:05:22):
Him you should have been a curse to. Him that's
what you were hoping.

Speaker 7 (01:05:25):
FOR i would have loved.

Speaker 4 (01:05:26):
It that was the.

Speaker 3 (01:05:26):
Goal kids got Tay oscar left and a two home
run lead so.

Speaker 4 (01:05:33):
FAR i don't know what my kid is on.

Speaker 6 (01:05:35):
Here i've got all three of them, there different ones turned.

Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
On it looks Like i'm in. Here it looks like
he's conducting a press. Conference he's got like fourteen mikes.

Speaker 7 (01:05:43):
In from when are we working with your?

Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
KID i think it's the one in your hand because
it's making noise right? Now, okay all, Right So bucky
still has Show, otani but he only has six home.
Runs kid has. THIRTEEN i still Have Freddy. Freedman forget about.
IT i only have five home. Runs all, right, hockey
very early in the crack and. Hockey i'm off to
the early lead with twenty points in our. Hockey ashley's got,

(01:06:07):
Seventeen kid with, fourteen And bucky with. Thirteen anybody's ball
game at this. Point our college football preview, draft good?

Speaker 4 (01:06:15):
Night what is going on over? There you're like wrestling.

Speaker 7 (01:06:17):
Pick, okay, kid you used to be on, four so
you got.

Speaker 6 (01:06:20):
It but you've got two microphones on over there, somewhere
so can you have one there?

Speaker 4 (01:06:24):
Is he's.

Speaker 3 (01:06:25):
Good now we're. GOOD i don't want to talk about it,
anymore all. Right college football. Preview bucky's looking really. Good
he's got udub at eight. Wins he's Got Ohio state
winning the national. Championship they're currently ranked number. One he's
Got oregon winning The Big. Ten they still got a
good shot at doing. That the only thing that you're
missing out on is Arch manning is not going to
win The. Heisman but don't you shed a tear because

(01:06:47):
our picks are really bad this, year as they're. Terrible
kids are all, Right ashley's are bad and mine are.
Bad so it's really kind of come down To bucky And,
chris and the college football Preview draft and then THE
nfl season Preview draft are over and. Unders that one's
looking very much like it's going to come down To

(01:07:07):
bucky OR i in THAT i have the Great dolphins
pick going for, me but, Guy i've got maybe the
worst pick with The colts going against. Me so hopefully
those two will average out And i'll have a. Shot
But bucky with his eight and a half over for
The seahawks in the first round is looking like his best.

Speaker 4 (01:07:26):
Picure. Nice, yeah all, RIGHT i think that's it that
gets you.

Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
Updated and then in our fantasy league for big ten,
man that's getting. Tight ashley's, leading but the three of
you are within like ten. Points And i've gotten back
into this. Thing Ye i've won the.

Speaker 4 (01:07:43):
Last three, weeks BUT i dug such a big. HOLE
i still got a long waist to.

Speaker 3 (01:07:46):
Go all, Right so now we preview The National Basketball association.
Season we need a draft. Order what do we do
when you're as, well here's a.

Speaker 6 (01:07:54):
Shocker kid your, First bucky your, Second chuck your, third
And i'm fourth?

Speaker 4 (01:07:59):
Again, Boy, yeah got a bad spot to be in.

Speaker 6 (01:08:01):
Though, NO i don't mind. It but it's the fourth
time in a Row i've had the fourth. PICK i
think third or.

Speaker 4 (01:08:05):
Fourth, yeah you may want to hit the thing on the.
Side maybe you could Take George.

Speaker 6 (01:08:08):
Springer OH i would IF i had to with the
fourth pick THAT i keep.

Speaker 4 (01:08:13):
Getting he won't Be, yeah, well at least take The,
raptors since you're so in love With. Toronto, yeah, clearly.

Speaker 7 (01:08:20):
Just save Me.

Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Oklahoma all, Right, well kid won this thing last. Year
he's our LOCAL nba. EXPERT i suppose.

Speaker 3 (01:08:29):
He's a hockey expert, though and he has the number
one pick in the.

Speaker 4 (01:08:32):
Draft so who's going to get the most wins in THE.

Speaker 13 (01:08:35):
Nba they're already, undefeated so go ahead and give me
a case. O, boy hard to think that they're not
going to get the most.

Speaker 3 (01:08:42):
WINS i, Mean vegas right now has their over unders
out there at sixty two and a, half second best
is fifty six and a, half so they're saying that
there's six wins better yeah than anyone else in THE
nba right.

Speaker 10 (01:08:55):
Now really good.

Speaker 7 (01:08:56):
Roster just so you, know IF i had the first,
PICK i still wouldn't have picked.

Speaker 3 (01:08:58):
Him you've Got springer yea burn. Though, yeah you're suffering
From springer.

Speaker 4 (01:09:04):
Scars BUT.

Speaker 3 (01:09:07):
I also think they could get better as the season.
Goes that's the scary part because they don't even Have Jalen.
Williams they're missing their starting point guards, well and they
also have all the trade capital in the. World so
if like A yannis or A Booker, LEBRON i, mean
they're in the watch that they're in the best position to.

Speaker 4 (01:09:27):
Add during the.

Speaker 3 (01:09:28):
Season if one of these veterans playing for another team
their season doesn't, go they can just come in, there
swoop in there and grab another star player to add
to this.

Speaker 4 (01:09:36):
Group and they've got the cap space. Working, yeah so
that was the number one. PICK i don't think there's
any doubt about.

Speaker 3 (01:09:43):
It, All, Right, bucky you've got the second overall selection
where you're gonna. Go at least you don't have to
face the conflict of taking the.

Speaker 4 (01:09:49):
Thunder. Yeah, NO i don't have to worry about. That that's.

Speaker 5 (01:09:53):
NICE i don't know where the heck to go with,
this to be, Honest i'm gonna go. Ahead i'm gonna
go ahead and Take. BOSTON i know they're down A
i know.

Speaker 4 (01:10:00):
Where, YEAH i know where's Headed.

Speaker 3 (01:10:03):
Boston, yeah, WOW i. Would Jason tatum's out for the.
YEAR i Know porzingis is, Gone horford's.

Speaker 4 (01:10:11):
Gone i'm just looking at her. Website, okay all, Right Boston.
Celtics i've got the, fourth SO i know where check's.
Going you don't. Know you probably don't know Where i'm.

Speaker 3 (01:10:23):
GOING i THINK i, do Because cleveland is the most
logical choice based on the season they had a year.

Speaker 4 (01:10:30):
Ago but, MAN i really Like denver a.

Speaker 3 (01:10:32):
Lot New york, Execond i'm not Going New, york all,
Right So i'm gonna go ahead and Take.

Speaker 4 (01:10:42):
I'm going to Take they're just.

Speaker 3 (01:10:45):
Really good in the regular season and they'll choke in the.
Postseason So i'm gonna Go. Cleveland this isn't a postseason, Contest,
no you're a regular season. Contest so give me The. Cavaliers.

Speaker 4 (01:10:54):
Uh they're just.

Speaker 3 (01:10:54):
Running it back same team as they had a year,
ago and that's a young team with the exception Of Donovan,
mitchell AND i would expect all the guys around him
to get a little bit.

Speaker 4 (01:11:02):
BETTER i don't think they're built for the.

Speaker 3 (01:11:04):
PLAYOFFS i think they're gonna have the same sad exit
in the postseason that they've had the last couple of.
Years but they're gonna win regular season, games are they, Not?
CHRISTOPHER i think they. Will, yeah they.

Speaker 13 (01:11:13):
Will definitely win regular season, games and, yeah to your,
point see in the, playoffs, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:11:17):
And then a second round.

Speaker 3 (01:11:18):
Exit all, Right, ashley you got back to back selections
here in OUR nba season preview.

Speaker 4 (01:11:23):
Draft where are you?

Speaker 7 (01:11:24):
Going, WELL i am gonna go With denver because they
see him just always be.

Speaker 3 (01:11:28):
Good all, Right, denver and they've Added Cameron, johnson WHICH
i think is an upgrade Over Michael porter.

Speaker 4 (01:11:34):
Junior they are the hot name right.

Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
Now LIKE i saw a website the other, DAY i
think it WAS Cbs, Sports they're experts weighed in on,
it AND i think there were as many teams Picking
denver to, win or many experts we're Picking denver to
win As, okac WHICH i found a little. Shocking so
THEY i think people are thinking because they weren't pushed
all the way to the end of the. Season they
might be a little fresher this, year and The jokers still.

(01:11:58):
Amazing SO i think that's a great. Pick really torn
between them and The.

Speaker 6 (01:12:01):
Caves, well and if it made you feel, better if
you would have Picked, DENVER i would have taken The.

Speaker 7 (01:12:04):
Cabs so either, way, okay, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (01:12:06):
All, right where are you going?

Speaker 6 (01:12:07):
Next you, Know i'm intrigued by The Houston, Rockets So
i'm going to take The Houston.

Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
Rockets, Yeah i'm really making it hard on.

Speaker 13 (01:12:15):
ME i don't like their roster, construction but we'll see
how it plays.

Speaker 4 (01:12:19):
Off, well you don't have a point, guard and that's
going to be a.

Speaker 3 (01:12:21):
Problem but they won fifty two games last year as
a young and.

Speaker 4 (01:12:25):
Up cun and they Had fred Van vliet running. Things
and Now i've Added. Duran that doesn't make up for
they don't have a point. Guard they should be Calling.
Spencer didn't with he? Yesterday well they can.

Speaker 3 (01:12:35):
Have the season comes to an, end and then you
got THE kd factor on the negative, side because everything
he touches turns to pois and that's WHAT i am worried.

Speaker 6 (01:12:43):
About But i'm intrigued AND i do love SOME, kdi
SO i gotta go with.

Speaker 3 (01:12:47):
It, okay kid THINKS i should have taken The knicks
with the third. PICK i don't Think i'm taking them
even with the sixth. Pick, wow they only won forty
one games last.

Speaker 4 (01:12:58):
Year, YEAH i had. Him i'm taking The Orlando magic
ding AND i was hoping to get them. Later i'm
Taking poolo Man.

Speaker 3 (01:13:05):
CAERO i think they are the up and coming team
because of the injuries in The Eastern conference that they
don't have to deal with with The tatum And, halliburton
uh And lillard With, MILWAUKEE i think it's wide open
And orlando might be in position to take. It plus
they've Added Desmond baine as a veteran THAT i think

(01:13:26):
rounds them. OUT i think The magic are gonna. SOAR
i think they improved by at least ten wins this.

Speaker 13 (01:13:31):
Year, Yeah desmond is really. Talented he's gonna take a
lot of pressure off Of polo to get. Buckets AND
i think defensive they's gonna take the next step and
be a better defensive unit as a. Team and if
they can do, THAT i wouldn't be surprised if they
finished third or fourth in The.

Speaker 4 (01:13:43):
EAST i wouldn't be surprised if they finished number. One
we'll put a hundred dollars on. That, no just, SAID
i wouldn't be.

Speaker 3 (01:13:51):
Surprised that's all Just powlo, though is inenter and superstardom right.

Speaker 4 (01:13:56):
NOW i thought he did that last. Season he just got, hurt,
obviously but kind of look like.

Speaker 3 (01:14:01):
That at the end of the, year people were talking
about him like a, superstar and NOW i think he's
ready to start a season with people talking that. Way
So orlando's going to be my pick. There So, bucky
you are up, next where you're going to go with
the seventh overall, Selections i'll.

Speaker 5 (01:14:16):
Go ahead and Take i'm going to Hate New, york
But i'll go ahead and take The knicks BECAUSE i
like The, Colors.

Speaker 4 (01:14:20):
Okay or like The. COLORS i mean it's a steal at.

Speaker 3 (01:14:25):
SEVEN i, Mean vegas says they're gonna be fifty three
and a half wins this.

Speaker 4 (01:14:29):
Year they have a brand new head. COACH i don't
know if it's an.

Speaker 3 (01:14:31):
IMPROVEMENT i Think thibodeau is a pretty good, coach and
they're Adding Mike brown now to that, equation AND i
do question their depth a little. BIT i think at seven,
though that's a. Steal that's the obvious pick, there, right.

Speaker 8 (01:14:44):
Yeah.

Speaker 7 (01:14:45):
Yeah also the fact that you like The colors is
a great reason to pick.

Speaker 4 (01:14:49):
Them, yes all, right, kid you.

Speaker 3 (01:14:51):
Got back to back selections, here it's OUR nba season
Preview green jacket.

Speaker 4 (01:14:55):
Draft. Kids Got okac in the first. Round yeah what a?
Jerk yeah, yeah apparently you're a thunder.

Speaker 7 (01:15:02):
Fan yeah, yeah, yeah just turn your back on The, sonics.

Speaker 4 (01:15:06):
Right wait to turn your back On? Seattle all, right
back to back? Selections what are you gonna do?

Speaker 13 (01:15:10):
Here health with this team scares, Me But i'll go
ahead and go away from coaching BECAUSE i think Lou
Tyrone lo's a better.

Speaker 4 (01:15:17):
Coach but go ahead and give me The Minnesota. Timberwolves
well you can take them both if you, Want minnesota
and The clippers. Here, well the thing, IS i do
Love Tyrone los a head, coach BUT i will. NOT
i will go, ahead give me the give me The.

Speaker 7 (01:15:30):
Warriors, okay you were going to pick The warriors and.

Speaker 3 (01:15:33):
Stay warriors then in the next. Round So warriors first
full season With curry And butler, TOGETHER i Mean butler
apparently said made a bet with him that he was
gonna that's why he was so, good have a higher
free throw percentage Than steph this. Year he went for
ten last, NIGHT i think sixteen for sixteen even.

Speaker 4 (01:15:50):
Better, yeah and then he got to the.

Speaker 3 (01:15:51):
Start then he got to the postgame and was asked about,
it and he, SAID i was a dumb, bet even
though he went perfect from the line last.

Speaker 4 (01:15:57):
Night but that's our first full season.

Speaker 3 (01:16:00):
Together somehow they still have kaminga, man it seemed like
the most logical guy to. Trade they're not giving him playing,
time but he's still, there so they could they could
take that step. Forward and Then MINNESOTA i think is
just as solid a pick as you can.

Speaker 4 (01:16:15):
Make they're going to be.

Speaker 3 (01:16:16):
Good are they going to become? Great we're still waiting on.
It Anthony edwards is, great but are The timberwolves going
to become? Great we're still waiting on.

Speaker 4 (01:16:24):
It all, Right, bucky you got the next selection. HERE
i did a lot of research on.

Speaker 5 (01:16:28):
This i'm gonna go ahead and Take minnesota Because Blue
Mountain Community, college we.

Speaker 4 (01:16:32):
Were The, timberwolves and So i'm gonna go off the.
Board they Waking oh dang, it, Sorry oh that's.

Speaker 5 (01:16:38):
Stupid all, Right, well Then i'll take The, clippers even
THOUGH i don't Like.

Speaker 4 (01:16:42):
La all, right The La.

Speaker 3 (01:16:44):
Clippers vegas, says that's the pick. Here i'm With kid,
though like Man Is kawhi possibly gonna stay healthy this.

Speaker 13 (01:16:51):
Year tyrone's a great, coach but what else can you
do when your superstars out fifty?

Speaker 4 (01:16:54):
Games?

Speaker 3 (01:16:55):
Man it JUST i, Mean harden's not getting, younger and
they Added Bradley. Beale that's your answer for getting? Better
are you kidding? Me he's gonna miss eighty games this.

Speaker 4 (01:17:04):
YEAR i don't know If tyron you can do with that.
Much that's that's what's to pass. For it's too.

Speaker 3 (01:17:07):
Much vegas likes him, though at forty nine and a
half wins this, year so That bucky's gonna take them
in the third.

Speaker 4 (01:17:13):
ROUND i got the next, selection and, here all, right,
HERE i just can't keep going chalk.

Speaker 3 (01:17:17):
Here SO i might be helping somebody, out But i'm
gonna go ahead and take The San Antonio.

Speaker 7 (01:17:23):
SPURS i WAS i was pondering taking them with the fourth.

Speaker 3 (01:17:27):
Pick full season with The Aaron, fox second season With
Stephen castle a healthy, whimby hopefully for the full. Year
number two overall pick added to this AND i think
this is actually a benefit not having The popovich, question you, know.
Lingering he's out of the equation completely at this, POINT
i think The spurs take a big step. Forward shout

(01:17:49):
out to my Buddy steve So Lee's, So i'm gonna
Take San antonio with my third round, selection AND i
got no analysis from OUR nba expert on that.

Speaker 4 (01:17:57):
PICK i give you nothing. Bad you're gonna get. Me
that's all you need to. Know if he stays, healthy
that's thirty plus.

Speaker 3 (01:18:07):
WINS i was, Expecting, Lisa, Oh, aura you know Expect
i'll be surprised if they.

Speaker 4 (01:18:16):
Are, yeah there we. Go, okay actually got back to
back picks.

Speaker 7 (01:18:20):
Here i'm going to take.

Speaker 4 (01:18:21):
THAT i think you're doing really. Well by the. Way
fourth the fourth pick, overall wasn't a bad spot to be.

Speaker 8 (01:18:26):
You, NO i.

Speaker 6 (01:18:26):
DIDN'T i don't hate it for this. ONE i just
thought it was funny THAT i once again ended up
with the fourth. Pick i'm going to take The Atlanta.

Speaker 4 (01:18:31):
Hawks that's a good. Pick thank. You it's a good.

Speaker 6 (01:18:34):
Pick thank.

Speaker 7 (01:18:34):
YOU i appreciate. That And i'm torn here between two
teams for my fourth, pick But i'm going to take The.

Speaker 4 (01:18:40):
Lakers, oh gonna go with THE La lakers stayed away
from them this. Year i'm staying away from them. Too
lebron over, Here i'm not, Playing i'm not first. Month
i'm not worried About.

Speaker 7 (01:18:50):
Lebron Luke LUCA i think is going.

Speaker 3 (01:18:51):
To be THE i think he's going to be. GREAT
i think he might average thirty five points a GAME.
Mvp but, yeah. Losing but If lebron's not, happy you're
not gonna be sticking. Around and who else do they?

Speaker 6 (01:19:02):
Have?

Speaker 4 (01:19:03):
Reeves, really you're gonna win With luca And Reeds and
they're not gonna win, games but they will put up.

Speaker 3 (01:19:07):
POINTS i think they almost have started to turn the
page into the next. Chapter that's kind of HOW i.
Feel and you don't win a lot of regular season
games that.

Speaker 4 (01:19:16):
Way all.

Speaker 3 (01:19:17):
Right my last, Pick i'm torn between a really Solid
Detroit pistons AND i don't know Why dallas is so
low the addition Of Cooper flag onto a team that
was not so bad last.

Speaker 4 (01:19:29):
Year So i'm gonna Take. Dallas i'm gonna Take. Dallas.
Here give Me, Dallas Cooper flag magic right. Here give
me The. MAVERICKS i don't think they were that bad
of a team a year.

Speaker 3 (01:19:39):
Ago The luca thing was. Surprising But i'm gonna go
to Take. Dallas maybe that's the wrong, choice but give
me The. Maps all, Right, bucky you got the next.

Speaker 5 (01:19:48):
Election i'm gonna go take the nicest people on the.
Planet give me The Detroit. Pistons that's a good.

Speaker 8 (01:19:53):
Pick.

Speaker 3 (01:19:54):
Uh, yeah they really finished strong a year. Ago Kay
cunningham's entering super start.

Speaker 4 (01:20:00):
Him that's a good. Pick all, right, kid close us,
out all, right give me The. Bucks all. Right they
have that one, guy you, Know Janni's Tinto, kompo so you.

Speaker 10 (01:20:08):
Know the best in the.

Speaker 4 (01:20:09):
World he's one in the. World and, yeah his team's
the sixteenth best in our. Draft, well they did Lose Damian,
lillard so but they add At Miles.

Speaker 3 (01:20:18):
Turner it's so, strange like they're gonna turn from there's
gonna be completely different.

Speaker 4 (01:20:22):
Teams, yeah they're gonna be a lot more.

Speaker 13 (01:20:24):
Defensively, like my, goodness they can't score and we can't
score on these. Guys, yeah you got seventh Foot giannis
And miles turn on the blocking. Machine so it should
be fun to. Watch all, right all, right there it.

Speaker 4 (01:20:34):
Is OUR nba season. Preview who's your champion this. Year, Kid,
OH i got The nicks And. Oka, SEE i Got
