Speaker 1 (00:08):
Hey, good morning and welcome. It is Chucking Buck in
the Morning Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM, a
special edition of Chucking Buck in the Morning. They have
decided to send we fools to Detroit, Michigan to cover
for you Games three and Games four of the American
League Divisional Series. And so here we are broadcasting live
from the iHeart Studios in Motown. Bucky Jacobson is here.

(00:30):
My name is Chuck Palin. It's all made possible by
Snowqualme Casino, the closest casino there in Seattle, and so
we welcome you to the show. Let me just give
you thirty seconds worth of headlines brought to you by
Frostbrewed Corps. Light Chose Chill. It'll be Logan Gilbert against
Jack Flaherty tonight here in Detroit. First pitch is supposed

(00:50):
to happen a little after one. I will warn you
there is some rain in the forecast, so we'll see
if it starts on time, and we'll see if it
gets disrupted by rain this evening. But Game three of
the American League Divisional Series goes down today, certainly our
top story. The Blue Jays Yankees also playing tonight with
the Blue Jays up two oh but heading to New

(01:11):
York for the first time in the series. Meanwhile, the
Dodgers and Brewers have a stranglehold in the National League
Divisional Round. They're up to to Oho on their opponents.
Josh Naylor, we haven't had an update. All we know
is that he did not fly with the team here
to Detroit. But something tells me he's going to be
in the starting lineup.

Speaker 2 (01:28):
We shall see.

Speaker 1 (01:29):
Monday night football Jacksonville three point winners over the Kansas
City Chiefs. They're four and one and they are up
next for the Seahawks will play in Northern Florida a
little bit later on this week. On Sunday. Friday Night,
Husky's taken on Rutgers, and tonight the NHL season gets underway.
Three games in the NHL this evening. Kracking won't play

(01:50):
until Thursday, and that means Joey Decord has a little
more time to get all fired up to get this
season underway. The crack goal tender now joins us right
here on Chuck and Buck in the morning.

Speaker 3 (02:03):
Good morning, sir, what's going on, guys? Thanks for having me.

Speaker 1 (02:06):
Man, You took the time to come all the way
to our studios and we're not there.

Speaker 4 (02:10):
Yeah, what are you guys doing? You guys left me
hanging here. I thought I was coming to hang out.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
It wouldn't have been fun. We've had a good time
with you.

Speaker 3 (02:18):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Man schedules, Yeah, sliding doors. You know, Bucky and I
were like rolling Stone gathers No Moss Joe.

Speaker 3 (02:25):
Yeah, No, I get it.

Speaker 2 (02:26):
I get it.

Speaker 3 (02:26):
Hey, it's it's a big deal. We got we got
Mariners in the playoffs.

Speaker 2 (02:29):
I love it. I love it. Do you love it?
Are you into it?

Speaker 1 (02:32):
Are your teammates into the Major League Baseball playoffs right now?

Speaker 2 (02:37):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (02:37):
No, I think it's sick.

Speaker 4 (02:38):
I mean you see around the city, like everywhere you go,
people wearing Manner stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:41):
People are so fired up.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
Honestly, for me, like it gets me fired up because
I'm like, I want this for the cracking, Like to
see how into it the city gets. Seattle so excited
right now, Like I want this for the cracking and
for me gives me extra motivation to try to push
extra hard for playoffs this year.

Speaker 2 (02:58):
Do you ever play any baseball? I Mean I've always
said I think hockey players would be the the rare
other athletes that could perform in baseball simply because of
the stick to ball or stick to puck aspect of it.
The eye hand coordination. Yeah, hand baseball.

Speaker 4 (03:12):
I may or may not, definitely may have been a
Little League All Star when.

Speaker 3 (03:16):
I was growing up, so I can play a little bit.
I haven't played at Cat's like in soccer.

Speaker 4 (03:24):
I played soccer too growing up, and my coaches always
wanted me to play goalie in soccer because I was good,
and I was like, uh no, I played goalie in hockey.
I want to play forward in soccer so I could
score some goals.

Speaker 1 (03:34):
I would actually like to run around the playing surface.

Speaker 4 (03:37):
Yeah, yeah, seriously, So when I played when I play
Little League, I pitched and I played center field.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
Are you so?

Speaker 1 (03:45):
So? Tell me do you think that this team based
on what you've seen and what you thought about in
the offseason? You know, you talked about you want the
playoff fever for the crack and is this it? Do
you think that this team's got what it takes to
have that happen at the end of this year.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
I think they absolutely do.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
I mean, part of it is just magic, right, Like
I grew up in Boston, where are lucky enough to
watch a lot of teams have success and win championships,
and so much of it is maybe not even having
the best team, and they have that magic. Well, in
my opinion, the Mariners have the best team right now.
They have the hottest players, and I think they have
that magic too, And then you had those two things together.

(04:23):
It's a pretty good recipe for success in the playoffs.
And it's just been so fun to watch. Honestly, I'm
so happy for those guys. Have gotten to know cal
decently well. And you know, obviously a bunch of those
guys come over to our games and we try to
get to their so it's cool to see them have
this much success.

Speaker 3 (04:39):
And you know, I'm just bowling for him.

Speaker 1 (04:41):
And what about the Kraken, I mean, are you do
you think that will be having a playoff run to
Is that the field that you've got from this team
thinking about it all off season, that the Kracking are
gonna end up taking us on a run in the
playoffs too?

Speaker 3 (04:55):
I genuinely think so.

Speaker 2 (04:56):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (04:57):
I mean I already the vibe around the room, around
the team have been so good and so high so
far this this preseason and training camp, and now as
we lead into the season here, I think we honestly,
I think we have such a good group of guys
in hockey. It's funny hockey. There's so much or so
little separation, sorry, between the top and bottom teams in

(05:20):
the league, and there's so much parody, and I think
so much of what makes teams good is culture.

Speaker 2 (05:25):
And I truly.

Speaker 4 (05:26):
Believe this is this is the best group of guys
we've had in this locker room so far since I've
been here, at least, And I'm just so excited to
get going. I think we have a lot of belief
in our group. I really have enjoyed working with coach
Lane and the way he the way he coaches just
makes sense for me and the way my brain works.
It's like when you have a good teacher, right, when

(05:47):
you can understand a teacher really well in class and stuff.
And that's for me is what it feels like. So
I'm super excited to get going. I think we have
a lot of belief in our group this year, and yeah,
I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (05:58):
I'm hyped. There's a few youngsters that are making the
opening day roster. What's it? What's it? Feel like from
your perspective, when you see some young guys like that
that are going to get to realize the dream of
playing in the NHL and making an opening day roster, Oh,
it's so cool.

Speaker 4 (06:12):
It just it just brings me back to the first time.
I mean, I only made the opening day roster. I
think it was two seasons ago. So this is my third,
third full year with the team, and I it just
brings so much like joy to see them all fired
up and excited and and you know, you work your
whole life to get to where you are, and you know,
every every single person has their own story, and to

(06:34):
see those kids get to go through with what they
have to all the ups and downs, and it truly
takes a village to see these guys are For these
guys to make it to the NHL and to make
it for the first time the opening night roster, it's
just a special feeling.

Speaker 3 (06:46):
And we're excited to have them in our group.

Speaker 4 (06:48):
Honestly, they're they're top players and great people and that's
what we want in our locker room. We want great
people and and they're gonna help our team win games,
and we're excited to have them.

Speaker 1 (06:59):
Crag and go Joey to cord with us here on
chucking back in the morning, of course, the crack and
debut on Thursday at home against Anaheim.

Speaker 2 (07:08):
More on that in a moment.

Speaker 1 (07:10):
But you mentioned I mean, we forget how young you
are and how you're just getting started with your career.
You had such a good season a year ago, Joey,
and now you enter. I don't think. I don't think
I'm misremembering this your inter for the first time as
the clear cut number one goalie, not sharing duties, You're

(07:32):
the guy heading into this season. What does that feel
like in terms of a sense of accomplishment.

Speaker 4 (07:39):
Yeah, truth be told, I haven't put too much thought
into that for me, Like I try not to get
too big picture when I'm thinking about hockey. I think
for me, I try to focus on, Hey, how do
I help this team win hockey games? You know, whatever
coach needs me to do, that's that's what I'm gonna do.
And if he wants me to roll out there every
night and and leave it all on the line, I'm

(08:00):
absolutely more than fired up to do that, you know.
So for me, I'm like, Okay, what do I need
to do to help team. The team win game one, right,
that's all I can focus on right now. I can't
be like, oh, you know, I'm the guy, I gotta
play good for However, many games like I feel like
that's that's an easy way to get overwhelmed. And for me,
it's like, Okay, we play Anaheim Night one Thursday, Climate

(08:22):
Pledge be there by the way.

Speaker 3 (08:25):
But you know, I'm like, how do I help the
team win the game?

Speaker 4 (08:28):
And for me, that's that's sticking to my process, continuing
to just keep doing the same things that I've been
doing and and finding a way to help the team
win the game.

Speaker 3 (08:38):
And then after that we move on.

Speaker 1 (08:41):
Joey Decord is with us. So we're in Detroit. As
you know, it is a hockey town here in Detroit.
So do you have any great Detroit stories or any
tips for us on how we should navigate the city
hockey town?

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Yeah, they love their hockey there. My dad actually just
got a job with the Red Wings, so that's funny. Yeah,
but no, nothing too crazy. I mean, hopefully hopefully we
play well against them when we play them this year.

Speaker 1 (09:07):
What kind of fans are Red Wings fans? During the
course of the game, nasty type a nasty lot.

Speaker 4 (09:12):
No, I would I would say they're a very educated type.
You know, those fans that really know hockey well. Did
Detroit fans know the game really well? So they're they're
more I would say, like analytical and look at it
from a coach's point of view as opposed to just
rowdy fans who are there to drink a ton of
beers and have a great time.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Did you ever get hit with a squid in the
eye anything like that.

Speaker 4 (09:32):
No, No, I've been I've been lucky. They love to
throw the octopus on the ice there. That's like a
famous thing. I imagine being the guy that has to
sneak sneak an octopus into the game under your jacket.

Speaker 3 (09:42):
That's gonna be tough. I can't feel too good.

Speaker 1 (09:45):
It's one thing to you know, flask, but an entire
octopus that just seems that seems extreme. All right, so
you have to be our eyes back there in the studio.
Did Ashley show up and just like sweat pants and
you know, scrunchy here to like like a house robe.

Speaker 3 (10:04):
No, she looks very professional. She got a tuxedo on.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
Okay, tuxedo all right.

Speaker 3 (10:09):
Now the tuxedos are weird. No, I like to dress up.

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Well man.

Speaker 1 (10:16):
We hate that we missed you, but it was good
getting the chance to chat with you here a little
bit this morning. So we get started on Thursday. You
fired up?

Speaker 2 (10:25):
You ready to go?

Speaker 4 (10:26):
I'm pumped. I'm obsolutely pumped. We'll see you guys there
hopefully you guys are uh you guys mean back or what?

Speaker 2 (10:31):
Well, we'll be back on Thursday.

Speaker 1 (10:32):
I don't know if we can get to the arena
in time, but we'll see you at some point. We
have to have our Joey Decord FaceTime at some point soon.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
Fair enough.

Speaker 3 (10:39):
I know you'll be watching either way.

Speaker 2 (10:41):
Yes, absolutely perfect, all right, brother, thank.

Speaker 3 (10:43):
You, yep, thanks for having me.

Speaker 2 (10:44):
Guys.

Speaker 1 (10:45):
All right, Joey de cor joining us right here on
Chuck and Buck in the morning. We're in Detroit. He's
in our studios. How weird is that weird? Yeah, hanging
out with Ashley back at the studios. I hope he's
sitting in your chair.

Speaker 2 (10:56):
Oh really yeah, I put.

Speaker 5 (10:57):
Him in your chair.

Speaker 6 (10:59):
He's in your chair so that he's extra official. Deiras
and Bucky's chair. Yeah, they're looking very professional. They I
mean you guys really should have been here. They were
great on the air.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
I'm sure sliding around in your chair side decide, you know,
I think he's gonna like, you know, he don't look
at the TV. You can't see past me exactly.

Speaker 1 (11:18):
Always have to be a bit rough on stuff, you know,
they're always whacking their stick around on things.

Speaker 6 (11:23):
And he's probably stretching out the arm rests because he's
in full uniform.

Speaker 2 (11:29):
I'm assuming he's.

Speaker 5 (11:30):
Yeah, he flies in full uniform. You think he's gonna
come into the studio not in the uniform.

Speaker 1 (11:34):
Let's all pad it up. Yeah, you know, maybe he
took his helmet off. Sounded like it was very vocally clear.
Yeah yeah, but anyway.

Speaker 3 (11:40):
Just got it up.

Speaker 5 (11:41):
He had it up over his head, yeah, just sitting
up on his forehead.

Speaker 2 (11:46):
Yeah, with his water bottle and hand.

Speaker 5 (11:47):
Yeah yeah yeah.

Speaker 3 (11:49):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
That's our Joe.

Speaker 5 (11:52):
That's our that's that's my Joey to Accord.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
That's our guy.

Speaker 1 (11:56):
All right, So thank you to him, and he's coming
off so a good year, but the team obviously a
disappointing year, and so this year hopefully it all comes together.
I would imagine that is the case when you're sitting
there and you're a Seattle athlete and you're watching another
team's success. Hard not to funnel that through your own prism.

(12:18):
And so yeah, I believe him when he says, you know,
I'm there to support the Mariners right now. But also, man,
you're sitting there watching a Mariner playoff game and you
know forty seven thousand people going nuts, hanging on the
edge of their seat every single pitch, and you can't
help but think about.

Speaker 2 (12:37):
Man, I want to do this. I want to be there.

Speaker 1 (12:40):
I want to be the goalie in Game seven of
the playoffs this year. We didn't make it last year,
we haven't made it a couple of years. We got
to get this done. I got to get this feeling back.

Speaker 2 (12:49):
Yeah, I mean it's I have never obviously didn't play
long enough, and we weren't good enough when I was
in Seattle. But the idea of we're always wanting to
have your fans fired up because you're giving them something
to be fired up about. I mean, I think that
if there's one thing we know about the crack and
they're not going to be okay with not making the playoffs,
They're they're going to make moves they're gonna make adjustments,

(13:11):
and so this year they're they're planning on contending and
him being back there in net Yeah, you know for
a fact he looks around Climate Pledge and just like
these guys are fired up, right, you want them fired up,
and you got to play well in order to keep
it that way.

Speaker 1 (13:23):
Well, I've got exciting news for you for those that
went to bed last night saying to yourself, Man, I
can't wait to listen to Chuck and Buck in the
mornings tomorrow. And I'm sure they're just going to be
in their normal old studio thinking about the excitement of
us broadcasting from Detroit. Would they why would they think
that we were globetrotters like that? But here we are

(13:45):
in Detroit. But I would imagine the last thing that
went through their mind was like, oh, I wonder if
there'll be a cracking ticket Tuesday on opening week of
the season. I mean, that would be something special to
get tickets to see opening night at home against the Ducks.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
Yeah, really special. Well guess what what.

Speaker 1 (14:05):
Guess what, dreamer, We're here to make your dreams come true, dreamers.

Speaker 2 (14:10):
Yeah, it is a cracking ticket Tuesday.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
Our first of the season obviously, and we do have
a pair of tickets to give away to see the
Crack and Play Thursday against the Ducks. You can be
there for the season opener, the home opener, all in
one big fancy chunk. So this is the way Cracking
Ticket Tuesdays work. Each hour, you're gonna listen for a
sounder to play, and that's a piece of audio. That's

(14:36):
just a piece of audio that will prompt you, Hey,
it's Cracking Ticket Tuesday.

Speaker 2 (14:40):
I don't know how we're doing it this year. I
haven't heard it yet, but.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
They will make it very clear on our airwaves that
it's a Cracking Ticket Tuesday. And when you hear that promotion,
when you hear that piece of audio played, you're gonna
be caller number ten at two oh six two eight
six ninety five ninety five. That's two oh six two
eight six ninety five to win a pair of tickets
to see the Crack and Play this Thursday, the home

(15:05):
opener against the Anaheim Ducks. So be listening again every hour,
somebody's gonna win a pair of tickets to opening night.
That's amazing, Uh, be the tenth caller at two oh six,
two eight six, ninety five, ninety five, not right now.
A lot of people aren't very good listeners, bucking, but.

Speaker 2 (15:22):
Right, not right now.

Speaker 5 (15:24):
You see the phone's.

Speaker 1 (15:25):
Ringing, I know. But when the audio plays to prompt you,
not me talking, not Bucky talking, not Ashley talking. We
have professionals who put together these little sounders that prompt
you to call, and then when you call, uh, you're
gonna have to be lucky to be the tenth caller
because three million people are gonna call.

Speaker 5 (15:46):
Can you remind them to not call right now? Again?

Speaker 2 (15:49):
I don't call right now.

Speaker 5 (15:50):
Yeah, yeah, we're not playing the audio.

Speaker 1 (15:52):
I'm just explaining the rules. This is like when I
explain if we were getting ready to play a board game.
We're getting ready to play Monopoly, and I say, you
get two hundred dollars every time that you pass. Go
don't take your game piece, your dog, you know, the
Scottish terrier, and go ahead and do that right now,
right yeah, wait till the appropriate time to play the.

Speaker 2 (16:12):
Game makes sense? Does that make sense? It makes sense
to me? Okay, good, I'm not calling right now. All right?

Speaker 1 (16:18):
Coming up next on the radio program, we are going
to play some factor fiction at seven thirty five. We
won last night, got back on the winning track. Thank you, Ashley.
It's Bucky's picked today at seven thirty five, so a
chance for you to win one thousand dollars as well.
Here on Chuck and Buck in the morning, we will
also talk more about the divisional playoffs, as that's what

(16:38):
we're here for right in Detroit. Josh Naylor is he
gonna be here or not to play tonight? We'll discuss
it next. Sports Radio ninety three point three khr FM
cited for that. Thank you Snow calling me Casino the hotel,
closest hotel there to Seattle, and man, we were just
out there Friday night just having the time of our lives.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
Place is amazing. That's been some serious time out there.
Haven't as of late, but I'm going to return back
now that they've put that hotel is amazing. Yeah, you
actually stayed there. I stayed there Friday night. Yeah awesome,
Look awesome. I just the bar downstairs, the sports book
area outside the sports book. I think that might be

(17:18):
the next staycation for the wife, you and I. It
is really like ten minutes from my house and yeah,
I can practice. I could practically see your house from
my view. But you don't look towards my house.

Speaker 1 (17:28):
I did, I tried. I didn't quite see it.

Speaker 5 (17:30):
Did you forget your binoculars?

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Yeah I did. It's weird. Yeah, that would be really weird.
You might see something you don't want to see.

Speaker 1 (17:38):
Yes, that was.

Speaker 2 (17:39):
I live out in the boonies for a reason. Yeah
there was. Cloaths are optional.

Speaker 1 (17:43):
There was an elk flipping me off for invading his price.

Speaker 2 (17:45):
Yeah, okay, that makes sense. That's my friend. Yeah, my friend.

Speaker 1 (17:50):
Really hard to tell what the hoofs and the whatnot.
But yeah, I knew, I knew he meant business. Uh,
it's jugging back. We are broadcasting live from Detroit, Michigan,
and man, we've just been blushing. We've been treated like
celebrities here at the iHeart Detroit Studios.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
They're tickle pink. Yeah, they really are.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
Having a hard time containing themselves outside that door. So, uh, man,
if I've signed one autograph, I've not signed any all right.
So Josh Naylor is a question mark for tonight, and
for the purest of reasons of all, he's about to
become a first time father. It sounds like Dan Wilson
keeping his privacy in check by just saying he needed

(18:32):
a personal day and that's why he didn't travel with
the team here to Detroit. Team's already here. Thanks for
meeting us at Tommy's last night. WU would have had
a great time where.

Speaker 2 (18:43):
He was at. We were there? Where were you? Where
were you? And the boys?

Speaker 1 (18:47):
Uh so Julio didn't see you. No, we had Monday
night football and baseball playoffs on. We had wings and
you know fries. Yeah yeah, yeah, they provide you popcorn, yeah,
movie quality. So yeah, we're here, and and so Joshnall
the team's here. Josh Naylor is not here, or at

(19:07):
least last we heard. But I mean it just does speak.
I mean, I think this is a much deeper lineup
than we've had in my time here. And yet, man,
you're getting ready for a playoff game and you know,
to not have Josh Naylor for that and to be
sitting there thinking about, well, we really want Luke Rayley

(19:27):
or Gino playing first base tonight. But one and one
in the series, and Josh Naylor really.

Speaker 2 (19:34):
Hadn't contributed to anything to this point.

Speaker 1 (19:36):
He's probably been the worst player on our team so
in two games. So I don't I don't know if
he was distracted from what was going on at home,
but I'm kind of hoping that everything has happened here
in the last twenty four hours for he and his wife.
They got a healthy, beautiful, brand new baby, and that
he's on his way on John Stanton's lear jet, on

(19:57):
his way to Detroit, feeling confident, relieved, happy.

Speaker 2 (20:02):
And ready to go tonight. Yeah. I mean, ultimately, you
can have both, as far as you can have the
idea of first and foremost the important the priority is
his wife and him being there to welcome his newborn
child into the world. And yet I would like to
somehow work out the stars to aligned to where he

(20:22):
also doesn't miss a playoff game. There is no room
for any you know, any sort of criticism to the guy,
as if your wants for the Mariners are bigger than
his wants for his family, There's no room for that.
But you can have both of the other kind of ideas,
and that's where I'm at. I'm I'm hoping that Stanton
and company have a jet waiting in the wings for

(20:44):
if it happens, getting him here as soon as possible.
If it's already happened, I feel like they would probably
have let us know, right. I don't think that he's
keeping a secret from the squad, and I think the
squad would want to let Mariner fans know, Hey, it's happened.
He will be there. You know. It's whether or I
can get there in time for the game. It's actually
another reason why. I mean, I don't want rain delays.

(21:06):
I'd like to get this thing in. But there is
a thunderstorm that's rolling through here. Maybe it's God's intervention
of Hey, they don't have a roof, maybe we'll rain
this game out. Something baby comes out, he makes it
for game three.

Speaker 1 (21:17):
Tomorrow, or even if it's just rain delayed. Right, And
that that was the amount of time it required for
him to get here on time.

Speaker 5 (21:26):
Yeah, and I think he's pretty powerful.

Speaker 2 (21:29):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (21:29):
Or you know, maybe the game starts and gets delayed
and here's Naylor. I wouldn't been able to play at all.
But now I can check into the game and the
fourth inning. I got here in time for the fourth inning.
Now that'd be some drama. Kat Willis Reid, Yeah, right,
that scrip, Yeah exactly. I mean he just limped onto
the court for like two trips up and down the
court and the Knicks got empowered by that and won

(21:52):
a championship. Josh Naylor, if God intervenes and delays the
game by four by a couple of hours, and Naylor
gets here by the fourth inning and is the hero.

Speaker 2 (22:02):
Wow, God knows how to write a script. They'll tell
you he's a baseball fan. He really is.

Speaker 1 (22:07):
He's a Maris a Mariner fan.

Speaker 2 (22:09):
Yeah, hey, talk to him daily.

Speaker 1 (22:11):
All right, let's play some factor fiction.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
Where set to go. Glad you're with us.

Speaker 7 (22:15):
It's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the
ten thousand dollars grand prize. It's Factor fiction, probably presented
by Lucky Eagle Casino and hotel where every day feels lucky.
Fact Door fiction is on Sports Radio ninety three point
three kJ R FM.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
All right, Ashley got us back on the winning track. Yeah,
she picked the Monday night football game and nailed it.
Not only to Jacksonville cover, they won the game outright.
That's called dominating at factor fiction. So we're back on
the right track. BUCkies, pick today, where are we going?

Speaker 2 (22:52):
Well, this just seems kind of perfect for the situation one.
I mean, yesterday watching the Monday night football game, Jacksonville
and it up doing what they needed to do. Kansas
City drives down, scores, takes the lead with leave them
minute forty five. Then they kick the ball out of
bounds and Lawrence and company drive down and do a
get stepped on your footfall down twice, still somehow get

(23:14):
up and punch it in for the win. I'm not
one hundred percent sure that Jacksonville is still not going
to Jacksonville every once in a while, or if it's
the Chiefs are now making these uncharacteristic mistakes. So how
that game went is one that makes me feel a
little bit different. That said, I think the Lions are legit.
The Lions played the Chiefs this week on Sunday Night Football.

(23:35):
The Lions are favored only by one. Now they have
to go to Kansas City and play. But I'm gonna
go ahead and take the Lions minus one at Kansas City.

Speaker 1 (23:44):
Well, I would just say that I think the Lions
are for real. I felt that way the entire time.
They might be the best team in the National Football League.

Speaker 2 (23:51):
I don't think.

Speaker 1 (23:52):
Kansas City's like dropped off dramatically. I don't think that
that had anything to do with the Jacksonville win last night.
I think Jacksonville that much better. And they are at home,
and if they are taking the next step, you win
home games against teams that aren't, you know, elite. Maybe
Kansay's not elite anymore. But I think they're still very good.
But I think Lions are a better football team right

(24:13):
now than the Kansas City Chiefs.

Speaker 2 (24:15):
Yeah, and it's not that I'm saying I think the
Chiefs aren't still good. I think they're still good. I
just think that they've last year, in particular, I think
it was eleven and oh in one score games. It
was whenever they just needed to have that play or
the defensive step up and make a stop, they did it.
Whether it was the offense needed to do it, they
did it. And this year they're owing three in those situations.

(24:36):
So I just think that the things, the stars are
not align the way that they have been for the
majority of the last decade. And yet it's just they're
going up against a really good team and it's a
one point spread.

Speaker 1 (24:47):
I'll take it, all right, So Detroit on the road
at Kansas City given one point, they're giving a point,
so practically a pick them. That means that for Bucky
to be right, the Lions have to win by two
points or more in order for this to be.

Speaker 2 (25:03):
A factual prediction.

Speaker 1 (25:04):
So now it's time for the game rules to kick in.
If you agree with that pick, text fact to four
nine four to five to one.

Speaker 2 (25:11):
That's fact.

Speaker 1 (25:12):
Fact to four nine four to five one. If you disagree,
text fiction to four nine four to five one. If
you're right, we enter your name into a drawing at
the end of the week for one thousand dollars cash
prize provided by Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel where every
day feels lucky. If you're wrong, who cares? Try again
the very next time, because every single time we play,

(25:35):
you can play, and every time you're right, you get
your name entered into the drawing at the end of
the week for one thousand dollars in cash. And if
you're right enough this season, you can win ten thousand
dollars from Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel. But you have
to have the most correct responses to this game throughout

(25:55):
the course of the football season. So again, Bucky's taking
the Detroit Lion minus one at Kansas City.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
If you agree.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
Text fact to four nine four five one. If you disagree,
text fiction to four nine four five one. I understand
that the bounce backs, once again are not working.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
I have no idea.

Speaker 1 (26:14):
None of us really know how I have any idea
why that occurs, particularly here in the mornings. But I
am here to tell you don't worry about it. We
are getting your predictions so they will count toward your
overall total and your chances to win either one thousand
dollars this week or ten thousand dollars overall. So we
are getting your picks. You're just not getting validation for

(26:38):
your pick.

Speaker 5 (26:39):
Here's your validation. You're great, Thanks for the pick.

Speaker 2 (26:41):
Yeah, very good. Yeah, yeah, don't need to really right future.

Speaker 6 (26:44):
Yeah, you don't need to send in a text message
that then tells us the bounce backs aren't working.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
We got it, We.

Speaker 2 (26:49):
Got it all right, Thank you.

Speaker 1 (26:50):
Lucky Eagle Casino and Hotel coming up next. I mean,
we're in Detroit for a reason. That's to win baseball
games and human a milliate our opponents while we're doing it,
So some trash talk for Detroit comes your way.

Speaker 2 (27:04):
Next.

Speaker 1 (27:05):
Sports Radio ninety three point three kh A r f
M and that beautiful voice.

Speaker 8 (27:10):
Goddess Yeah, good for you bringing wonderful music to the
world from this city.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Ye look at me, I've got the greatest female voice
in the history of music. Well eat it the next
couple of nights, Franklin.

Speaker 9 (27:28):
Yeah, you know what they call it a cat in Detroit,
motor Kitty. We're playing the Detroit Motored Kitties tonight.

Speaker 1 (27:40):
Sick Burns.

Speaker 2 (27:42):
That's right.

Speaker 1 (27:43):
Detroit has been nothing but kind to us and welcoming
to us. Everyone we've met has been overwhelmingly you know,
wonderful to us, and yet it's not going to stop
us from terrible trash talk here today. I mean, when
did we come to Detroit for, if not to win
a couple of baseball games and humiliate these people as much.

Speaker 2 (28:05):
As we possibly.

Speaker 1 (28:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 2 (28:06):
Yeah, and it's getting tougher and tougher by the second.

Speaker 10 (28:09):
I know.

Speaker 2 (28:09):
I mean I almost ran into and ran over a
small little gal coming out of her office, and I said, oh,
excuse me, sorry, she goes no pardon me, as if
she did something wrong walking out of her office, not
knowing a sasquatch was coming down the hall. She was wonderful.

Speaker 1 (28:26):
Oh it's this is these Detroit people here. I'm expecting
these rough customers, and every one of them nicer than
the last.

Speaker 2 (28:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 1 (28:34):
It's uh, it's a little off putting, but it's not
going to stop me from terrible trash talk today. You
hear me, Smokey Robinson, Get ready to cry those tears
of a clown because they're coming. Yeah, they're coming, They're
coming more. Yeah, yeah, get it ready, clown, better grab
a tissue, come to tears.

Speaker 3 (28:54):
What's going to do?

Speaker 2 (28:56):
Yeah, you were so good at bad trash talk.

Speaker 1 (29:00):
Get ready, smoky. Hey, Henry Ford, Meet Harry Ford. He's
better than you. We got the newer improved version.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
You invented cars.

Speaker 1 (29:11):
He drives a nicer car than you ever had. Rose faster, loser, Yeah,
way cooler, way to go, way to make history. Loser.

Speaker 6 (29:23):
Hey, Detroit, you got any good restaurant recommendations?

Speaker 5 (29:26):
We need food?

Speaker 2 (29:28):
Oh okay, you're really good at bad trash talk too,
Yeah yeah, really good. Nailed it. Fab five?

Speaker 1 (29:36):
Get ready to be beaten in Fab four?

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Yeah? Yeah, I don't know if we want to go
into any sort of college football stuff.

Speaker 1 (29:45):
Footing you pull up your black socks, Jalen because his
rose doesn't smell good.

Speaker 2 (29:53):
Yeah, I'm gonna walk out there from now, I want
to introduce myself as buck Guy Jacobson.

Speaker 1 (29:57):
Hey, Lizzo, don't worry about ozimpk anymore. You're going to
lose weight starving for runs.

Speaker 2 (30:05):
Yeah, think we got logan.

Speaker 10 (30:11):
Hey, Keegan Michael Key, why don't you peel your whale
way from a fandom for a loser and join the Mariners?

Speaker 2 (30:20):
Yeah you got this all you've got right off the
top of your head.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
Yeah, well, I have a Detroit people Okay, I have
a list of Detroit people.

Speaker 5 (30:29):
I was like, man, you know more about Detroit than
people in Detroit.

Speaker 1 (30:32):
Hey, Jerry Bruckheimer, you've already jumped over to the Kraken.
Why not jump over to the Mariners.

Speaker 2 (30:38):
I assume you have jerk.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Yeah, your owners.

Speaker 2 (30:43):
I still love you from the cracking thing. But yeah, yeah, yeah,
I like it for that.

Speaker 1 (30:48):
Yeah, but anyway, Uh well, uh let's get it on.
I mean, we got it there the next couple of nights,
and uh, I really think that. Uh I think we're
going home.

Speaker 2 (30:58):
I think we're going home having already won this series.

Speaker 1 (31:01):
But there was some a hole that just you know,
walked it wise when we went to the restaurant. Apparently
apparently works here. He's got a tiger hat like he's
rubbing it in. Yeah, yeah, like whatever, Bud, you're not.

Speaker 2 (31:15):
Intimidating me, well, definitely not. It was a size like
six and a half. Yeah, you head like one hundred
and thirty five pounds. Yeah, I will snatch Bucky will
snatch that hat. But look at me like that tiger
fan guy.

Speaker 1 (31:28):
I will snatch that hat right off your head and
then have Bucky lord over you.

Speaker 2 (31:33):
Yes, yeah, yeah, let's go out there start talking some
real trash.

Speaker 1 (31:37):
And I would, I would to their face, but they're
so nice.

Speaker 2 (31:40):
They are really nice. I don't really want to do it.
That's just more fun to do it behind their backs.
They to do in here, they can't if they can't hear.

Speaker 6 (31:48):
It's what if you're broadcast on the speakers out there
and you just don't know?

Speaker 2 (31:53):
Would suck?

Speaker 1 (31:54):
Hey, David Allen Greer, get ready to David Allen lose.

Speaker 6 (31:59):
You just David Allen Greer, Wow, you really do have
a list of Detroit people.

Speaker 1 (32:04):
I just have a list that I'm going off. I
like it, that's right. Hey, Jack White, get ready to
get whitewashed.

Speaker 2 (32:11):
Yeah, take that.

Speaker 5 (32:14):
You can need a semination army to help you.

Speaker 2 (32:19):
Hey, white strikes, we're done with you. You're gonna have
brown strip.

Speaker 5 (32:26):
He said, you're gonna.

Speaker 2 (32:29):
It was a joke about you guys do all right?

Speaker 1 (32:33):
Well, actually talk about the series. Next, it's Chucking Buck
