Speaker 1 (00:02):
Texas Tech hanging firm going to Morgantown, win that game
off to the Big twelve championship, and one would think
if they win that game, if they've solidified a bid,
regardless of what happens in the conference title game. Number four,
we presume once again will be Georgia Bulldogs have to
have things fall the way they're finished with their SEC
schedule to get into the conference title game at number
(00:24):
three Texas A and m there at Texas. If they win,
they'll get in the SEC championship game. They lose, they
will likely follow them ties breaker depending on the other games.
Indiana is two and the Buckeyes are number one once again,
So you take all of this and you put it
in the bracket based on the current rankings. Now, it
(00:44):
is so delicious to think about that six to eleven
game of Mario Christobaul against Oregon. But Miami is going
to have to get in at large bid. One would think,
in all Likeliho is that spot or the eleven or
twelve would likely be taken by the ACC champion and
the Hurricane still fighting for at large. You see the
(01:05):
way the rest of it looks. Texas Tech at home
against Dulaye Oklahoma Notre Dame. That would be fun, and
then Alabama at Ole Miss in an SEC game if
it were to fall that way.
Speaker 2 (01:19):
Thank you ESPN for those highlights there. Yes, it is delicious.
That's a good way to put it. It would be
delicious to whoop up on Miami. I mean whoop up
on Miami. It would be nice. We will get into
that a little bit more, I'm sure as the as
next week comes around and we get closer to the
selection Sunday, we do have a few other headlines before
(01:41):
I get to that. I do want to pay off
this tailgates and touchdowns. Talkback Sports Radio ninety three point
three KJR is teamed up with Tito's handmade vod could
give you a chance to win a Samsung sixty five
inch TV. All you have to do is head over
to our free iHeartRadio app and use a talkback Mike
Tannery keyword with your chance to win. That's him, tak
The word is football. Pretty easy.
Speaker 3 (02:03):
That's an easy one to remember.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Yeah, pretty sure.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
You just got to go over there say football, or
you could even use it in a sentence.
Speaker 4 (02:09):
You could use it in a song.
Speaker 2 (02:11):
You could dance and say football at the same time.
None of that will increase your chances of winning. No,
But as long as you go to the talkback mic
and you say football, you enter a chance and you
might just get yourself a sixty five inch Samsung TV
on behalf of us and really more so Titos. So
go over and do that right now. It is time
(02:33):
at this point to go through a couple headlines. College
footballlayoff rankings came out again last night. There will be
one more next week and then the final one December seventh,
not on a whole heck of a lot of shakeup.
Top five stayed the same, Oregon went up one while
Ole Miss dropped down one. Not playing anybody, That is
(02:53):
what it is. The real story is what's going to
happen there on the bubble and those that barely get
in and barely out or get left out. Crack and
host Dallas Stars tonight at Climate Pledgerina. Feast week is
in full swing in college basketball with the Playoff Era Festival,
which was a very interesting thing that Rick new Heisl
was talking about yesterday. Maui Invitational and the Bajamar Championship
(03:16):
produced pretty much locked into that number.
Speaker 4 (03:18):
One spot right now after winning their game.
Speaker 2 (03:21):
A lot of stuff going on in the sports world,
but it is time for us at this point to
go talk to our one and our only, Mike Sando.
Speaker 5 (03:29):
It's time for our Thursday visit with Mike Sando of
the Athletic and brought to you by Hunt Services. Get
on the horn and call Hunts now with Mike.
Speaker 4 (03:39):
Here's Chuck and Budd.
Speaker 2 (03:42):
I don't know why I said hour as if we
own Mike Sando. I don't think he is ours. I
mean there's a little bit of possessiveness there. I'm sorry
about that, Sando. Will you forgive me?
Speaker 6 (03:53):
No, I think there's ownership you know there. I've been,
I've been part of the team along. Shoot, we go
back to the nineties. So I think I'm owned, Yeah, okay,
but I'm operated by me and not owned and operated
by you. Okay, I'm owned by you, operated by me?
Speaker 4 (04:06):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (04:07):
Well, good, good, that's good. You would not want to
be operated by me. I'm going to tell you that
right now. I have a hard time operating myself. Mike
Sando is with us Caesar NFL Insider, basically the guy
that we get all the info right we spew stuff
for twenty hours a week, but then we actually bring
people like you on to give us facts and real
(04:28):
educated opinions and so welcome.
Speaker 4 (04:31):
Happy Thanksgiving.
Speaker 2 (04:32):
I'm glad to have you before we get a couple
days off for the holiday. But I guess I'm gonna
start with the Seahawks and then we'll round this thing
out into a bigger picture. Seahawks at this point pretty
tough division, you know, sitting there with the Rams at
nine and two, in the San Francisco forty nine Ers
right behind him at eight and four. I mean, is
this the most competitive division in the NFL right now?
Speaker 6 (04:55):
Yes, it's probably at the top. I think I think
Seattle in and the Rams are you know, top three
or four teams in the league. So yeah, it's hard.
It's hard to beat that, it is. And look at
you know, we don't talk much about the forty nine Ers.
They're eight and four right as a team that's got
a bunch of injuries, and no one really thinks they're
probably gonna be there in the end when that's your
(05:16):
you know, when that's your third team in the division.
As bad as Arizona's been, they've lost a bunch of
games they were winning, you know, right, winning late in
the game.
Speaker 4 (05:25):
So that's not a.
Speaker 6 (05:26):
Bad worst team either, you know, and just in terms
of how they played. So yeah, I think it's really
a tough division. But they're you know, they're they're they're
taking care of all those games outside the division. You're
still gonna have a really good record and you're gonna
get bttle tested when you go in the playoffs.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Sando, the Seahawks obviously facing the Vikings this week, and
Sam Darnold's old team, do you think there's like a
little extra juice on there because you know, and they
didn't want him.
Speaker 6 (05:54):
Uh, yeah, yes, I think that there is. You know,
I think that Sam understands the situation, and I don't
know that he feels completely unwanted like they thought he was.
You know, I think they appreciated what he did. But yeah,
there's got to be some of that. I think for anybody,
you know, when you're playing somebody that uh, you know
would be better off with you, right, and they could
have had you, they could have stepped up and done more.
(06:16):
So I'm sure there's a little extra I think it's
a fascinating game because we're just assuming, probably rightfully so,
that the Vikings issues on offense are going to be
so problematic that Seattle's going to win the game, maybe
even in a route.
Speaker 4 (06:29):
But you know.
Speaker 6 (06:30):
That that that Vikings defense, you know, does a lot
of stuff and knows Darnald well, and I think they're
gonna you know, they can present some problems too. So
look forward to the game.
Speaker 4 (06:42):
San.
Speaker 2 (06:42):
We were talking a couple of segments ago about the
you know, Seattle and at this point that your recipe
that you have, right, I mean, everybody, you figure Mike
McDonald's going to be this you know, confusing defense and
relentless defense. And this year their pass rushes is getting
home more often than maybe it had last year in
the couple of years before that. I mean, they're ranked
(07:04):
i think seventh in points per game defense, ranked third
in points per game offensively. That's a pretty good recipe.
What is it that you'd sprinkle in this little Thanksgiving
feast as far as football goes to to make this
make sure that this Seattle team continues to stay where
they're at. I mean, it was a week or so
ago before that Rams game you kind of felt like,
(07:25):
whoever comes out of that might end up being the
team that has talked about as the best team in
the NFC. What do we need to sprinkle What do
the Seahawks need to sprinkle on this bad boy to
get back where they're They're more in that conversation with
the Rams, because right now I feel like they're half
step behind.
Speaker 4 (07:40):
I agree to me.
Speaker 6 (07:41):
It's just flipping that turnover margin both ways. I feel like,
you know, for a team that runs the ball a
lot and way more than they ran it last year,
they have a lot of turnovers, you know, and so
they're very sales, a very rare team to be. You know,
they still minus seven. They were minus seven going into
last week, So to be minus seven with their point
(08:01):
differential super rare, Like you're in a very small list
of teams that have done that. And the only thing
better than that would be to be, you know, to
have even fewer turnovers. I think that their point margin
would go up, they'd have better chance against the good teams.
When you look at what happened to them against the Rams,
they lost because of the four interceptions, and they even
lost the first game to the forty nine ers when
(08:22):
they were a good team. With a fumble, you know at.
Speaker 4 (08:25):
The end of the game.
Speaker 6 (08:27):
So to me, that's glaringly the number one thing, you know,
besides the things like health or you know whatever. They've
played some guys without some guys on defense. I think
that's hurts them at various times. But the things you
can control, losing the football in the way they've lost
it is something they can control.
Speaker 3 (08:46):
Well, I was going to ask you about JSN, but
you brought up point differential and I was looking over
the stat this metric that you put up on X
and I'm fascinated by it. So you said on your post,
if we were to not watch any NFL games and
just rank teams by weekly point differentials relative to those
for every other team, yeah, this would be the one
through thirty two. So, and the list is fascinating. You've
(09:08):
got the Seahawks or third Rams are first. It's very
interesting that the Chicago Bears. I don't think people would
be surprised, but they're all the way down at twenty five,
even though they're eight and three and really good. So
can you explain this just a little bit too, because it's,
as someone called it, super nerd stuff.
Speaker 6 (09:25):
It's super nerd. It's actually it's really good. But it
is like part of being great is that it has
to be easy to understand. So this is not quite great,
but I really like it. Basically what you're doing. And
if you look at like the Seahawks, people will understand this.
If you look at the Seahawks when they played the Dolphins.
Sorry I'm looking at last I did this for last
(09:47):
year too, when the c X played the Saints, right, Okay, yeah,
take that game. Yeah, she X played the Saints. They
beat them by more points than anyone else beat them. Okay, Okay,
So you put a little one next to that, right, Okay,
And you go through the entire schedule and you put
a one how many games the sex have had eleven?
Their opponents have had no more than twelve games, right,
(10:07):
So you can have anywhere from a one to a
twelve against every team you play based on how much
you beat or lost to them by relative to everyone
else that played those teams, so that it's adjusting to
who you've played.
Speaker 3 (10:20):
Okay, So when you.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Do that right now, and you figure twelve games is
the max, the rams average ranking is about a three
point two really good, and the worst team in the league.
Speaker 4 (10:30):
We'd be like the.
Speaker 6 (10:30):
Saints eight point four. The Saints average performance and in
point differential against all their opponent's ranks about eight out
of the eleven or twelve games low. Right, So when
we do that for all the teams, you get the Rams,
the Colts, the Seahawks.
Speaker 4 (10:44):
And the Chiefs.
Speaker 6 (10:45):
Kind of surprisingly the are four you're like, you know,
and you get the Eagles, the Bills. The Texans are
up there that the Texans have been up there high
too this year, higher than you would think the Packers,
you know, But I think some of those teams at
the bottom are interesting. Where you have basically Chicago is
an eight and three team between Minnesota and Carolina. They're
(11:05):
right between those two teams, and we would think they're
way better than that. But this kind of differential thing
sort of doesn't lie. It's not perfect, but it's a
great way to me to look at it, kind of
opponent adjusted, take the emotion out of it, take the
you know, the Bears are four to zero and games
is heided by three or fewer points, and it sort
of looks past that. Yeah to me, So I kind
(11:27):
of like it. I don't know if I explained it great.
Speaker 3 (11:29):
No, you've explained it perfectly. I think it's a fascinating thing.
I just reposted it too for any of our listeners
who want to go check it out.
Speaker 2 (11:34):
So, yeah, come up with some interesting stuff, man, I
mean very interesting stuff. That is, your brain works in
an interesting way because I wouldn't even thought of to
go dissect the stats like that, and yet you do it,
and it is quite meaningful because it does seem like
you're getting a little bit more of truth. I always say,
I don't think that the stats tell the whole truth
(11:56):
and nothing but the truth. I think some stats do lie.
I think that there's somewhere you can just say I
don't know for sure, and that's not to take throw shade.
I don't know if the Indianapolis Coults are eight really
an eight and three team at this point. We will
find out as their schedule gets a little tougher. And
yet that's kind of where my next question wanted to be.
Just one more staying in the division, the Idea Seahawks
(12:20):
apparently have the sixth toughest schedule when you're talking about
strength of schedule remaining, The Niners have thirteenth toughest, and
the Rams have the twenty first toughest. When I look
at those three teams schedules, I can see how they
come up with that, and yet it does also feel
like there's kind of wild cards in there where a
lot of these publications kind of consider the Carolina Panthers
(12:40):
as an easier game, and yet I don't know if
they are. And I feel like they can be an
easy game like what we watched on Monday night, and
then I also feel like they can go out there
and beat some really good teams on any given night.
So where would you want to be as far as
strength the schedule goes? When you think of those three
teams and the remaining games they got left.
Speaker 6 (13:00):
Well, like a team to me, like Carolina is not
a good team. I really don't think they are. They'll
have a they had a couple of good offensive games
earlier in the year. The hard part about the schedule
the strength of schedule, and I'm gonna look at it
here myself is uh, it's it's giving credit for like
a team. If you're playing Carolina, they're six and five,
So maybe that's what I'll do here next is just
(13:22):
kind of you know, wait this little bit and look
at the rest of the year. I think Seattle has
one of the toughest remaining schedules because the Rams and
I think the Ford Edits are still a tough out. Yeah,
but I think Atlanta is one of those teams too
that on any given Sunday is either horrible or good.
Don't you feel that, like like you catch them on
the wrong day, you know, that could be a tough game.
(13:43):
So maybe I wouldn't want to be the Seahawks out
of those, uh, you know, those those remaining teams, Like
this is interesting, who would you better play Atlanta or Chicago?
Speaker 3 (13:55):
I don't know.
Speaker 4 (13:56):
I would want to play Atlanta, I think. I yeah,
I don't know.
Speaker 6 (14:02):
I don't know that to me, Atlanta on any one day.
San Francisco still has to play the Browns, who are
a terrible team. But that defense, I mean, my gosh right,
Cleveland defense like could totally beat up your quarterback. So
you know who is our third team that we had
the Rams?
Speaker 2 (14:17):
We look at the res Yeah, and they got your
Carolina and Arizona and then they have Arizona twice.
Speaker 6 (14:22):
I love the Rams remaining schedule, let me tell you.
I mean, I don't like them having to play Seattle
because I think Seattle will get that on a short week,
not a given but probably. But to me, like, how
many points are they going to score in Detroit? Oh gosh, yeah,
you know what I mean. I think they'll out score Detroit.
It could be a shootout type of a game. But
I'm not overly worried for the Rams against Detroit. I
(14:43):
think you're right on Arizona. Now, you never know when
you play in the division. Sometimes you split them, you know, unexpectedly.
But I think they'll roll Carolina. I think they'll roll
Atlanta and Atlanta remember that's circled on the calendar for
both of them. Rahem morris as was on their staff.
But I think the I think the Rams are in
better position to you know, win that one for sure.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (15:03):
It doesn't seem like they have any weaknesses either, so
it seems like they're going to be just fine.
Speaker 4 (15:06):
Good the good.
Speaker 2 (15:07):
Yeah, it feels like that's teams is weakness that Detroit
where Detroit still I mean, their defense is porous. But yeah,
you got Detroit and then a short week against Seattle.
Those that's the you got to make. Hey, if you're
another team in the division trying to do something, because
I do think the other four games could be w's.
I mean, they could be sitting there at thirteen and
four at the end of.
Speaker 3 (15:28):
The year, all right, Sando. So of course we've got
some fun Thanksgiving games tomorrow, and the one I'm really
intrigued by, I mean, I really want to see this
Detroit Packers matchup. But the one I'm very intrigued by is,
of course the return of Joe Burrow tomorrow night, playing
against the Ravens. How are you feeling about him coming back?
Do you think they should have they should be playing him?
Do you think they should let him fit just sit
out the year?
Speaker 6 (15:48):
No, I do I think that, you know, unless you
have some kind of a let's just say he had
a really sore calf and they were worried that it
was going to lead to an achilles. I think that's
a different, yeah thing than being cleared to I think
when you're cleared to play, and you're making two hundred
and fifty five million or whatever it is, and you're
the leader of this team and guys are out there
busting their butt for you with who knows what types
(16:09):
of injuries, I think I don't think resting is really
an option. I don't think that's how this works in
the team sports, and so that's fantasy football, you know.
Speaker 4 (16:17):
I think we all.
Speaker 6 (16:18):
Sort of govern these teams kind of from afar from
our couch with what would be It might make the
most logical sense, but the actual going to work part
of this thing and being a teammate is a part
of this. So I think he's got it exactly right, Burrow.
Does you go out there and play if he gets hurt?
You know what, maybe we're just learning he's not very durable,
(16:39):
but that's the sport.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
That's your job.
Speaker 6 (16:42):
And if it's not, if it was the last game
of the year, to me, it's different. Yeah, but they
got to try to give it a run here, you know.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Yeah, well yeah, and I mean not very often are
you three and eight? We're talking about you know, you know,
the Seahawks and the fact that the Cardinals are three
and eight and you're like, well, they're out of it.
There's zero chance for them to come back and be
a three in the division.
Speaker 4 (17:01):
They're three and.
Speaker 2 (17:01):
Eight and there are only three games behind the two
teams that are in front of them at six and five.
So I think, yeah, you definitely play your guy, get
out there see if you can make some magic. And
you look at their schedule and it looks like they
could make some magic. Now, whether or not Baltimore actually
turns into the Baltimore we thought they were going to
be at the end of the year is the question
at hand. There, I've got one more before we gotta
(17:24):
go sand Oh. I mean, right now, how much of
a genus is John Schneider looking like, I'm not trying
to throw dirt on Pete Carroll, but you know the
geno Smith, you know, moving on from him and going
to Sam Darnold and just the moves he's made right now,
you look at where they're at and where the Raiders
are at. You know it's not all on Pete, but
some of it is.
Speaker 6 (17:45):
Well, here's the thing. I think all of us knew
and felt that it had kind of come to an
end with Pete here right that it was time for
a move, and fewer of us felt like it's probably
you know the status quotes. You know, Smith is not
going to get you there. So it's one thing to
(18:06):
realize that it might be time to pivot. The hard
part is to pivot and actually get better, right, And
so when you pivot and decide it's time's up on
Pete Carroll. That's to me, that's logical. But you have
to get the right guy. You got to get a
good guy. So for me to see what I've seen
with Mike McDonald, who I think is really growing into
(18:28):
the role, I think he's good. And then obviously Sam
Darnold's been a great addition. That's the part of it
that you start saying that g word of like though,
those are really genius type moves when you can make
them pay off like that, Identifying the problem easy. Getting
better after identifying the problem and actually having the guts
(18:50):
to pull it off really difficult.
Speaker 4 (18:53):
And that's why a lot of.
Speaker 6 (18:54):
These teams stick with certain players that are good, not great,
or certain coaches that are okay, Because you're right at
the Endnling.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Yeah, yeah, one hundred percent, it would be you know,
what is the better to the devil you know or something?
Whatever That saying is, you know, better to be with
the one you know. And yet it's a bold move
to move on from one of the best coaches in
Seahawks history as far as during his tenure, for sure
he was he did some big things here and we
won a Super Bowl, so uh, but I think it
(19:22):
was the right move.
Speaker 4 (19:23):
Good good week or good last couple.
Speaker 2 (19:25):
Of years, I would say for for him and the
Seahawks are reaping the benefits.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
But thanks again, Sando.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Appreciate you coming on and great stuff as usual, and
just wishing you a happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Speaker 6 (19:37):
Brother Ay, happy thanks Giving to you too. Enjoy the
games too. We got and we get Friday game too.
Let's get four games.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
So yeah, Thursday, Black Friday, then you got college football
Sunday and then yeah or Saturday and then Sunday and Monday.
Speaker 4 (19:52):
Just get football.
Speaker 2 (19:53):
So I'm gonna have to get like a special circle
seat or something, the cushion to sit on.
Speaker 6 (19:59):
I know it's gonna be fun, all right, all right, San.
Speaker 2 (20:01):
No, happy Thanksgiving man. And that was Mike Sando there.
He and Mike Sandals brought to you by Hunt Services.
I am not going to do the horn thing. I
could go there, you go, yeah, you you got the
horn thing. I could have went back and found some
of my old Hunt Services reads.
Speaker 4 (20:19):
I remember the.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
Yacht and him and mussel him and you know, get
on the Hunt Services. Yeah, fjords and but I don't
have those or I don't remember those off the top
of my head. So we'll just say go to Hunt Services.
You know, if you need a plumber, an electrician, heating
cooling expert, go ahead and go to Hunt Services. Get on,
get on the horn. There it is all right on
(20:41):
the other side of this bad boy. We are going
to We're gonna get into a little bit of Thanksgiving
stuff before Ashley makes your factor fiction pick stick around
at Sports Radio ninety three point three kJ RFM.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
We are thankful.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
And then as a matter of fact, that's what we're
going to go over just a little bit before we
get to our factor fiction pick here. But I was
saying earlier, I want people to tick text in next step,
next segment, we're gonna we're gonna read some text. Now
it's you. You got kind of twofold. But you gotta
do both. You got to give thanks to something. It's
it's Thanksgiving. We should do this more than just one
(21:16):
or two days out.
Speaker 4 (21:16):
Of the year.
Speaker 2 (21:17):
We should give thanks for the things that are happening
well in our lives. And then at the same time
back it up with the little trash talk. If you
want to aim it at me, that's fine. I'm it's
almost like I need it to buffer myself for what's
coming at eight o'clock, which is Softy and Cam and
you talking to me about the Huskies versus the Ducks
(21:38):
for an hour. Great idea, Rich Moore, wonderful plan.
Speaker 3 (21:43):
It really was a great plan. And you know what,
I don't give him a lot of praise, but he
deserves a lot of praise for this.
Speaker 2 (21:48):
Do you think this is when he deserves praise on Yeah,
it's weird that you would think that, and I don't. Yeah,
but it is what it is. I'm actually very thankful
because I don't mind it. I actually like trash talk.
I like joking around little bit.
Speaker 4 (22:00):
I don't talk much about the Ducks during the entire season.
I don't.
Speaker 2 (22:04):
I most certainly am not like some Homer and asking
a ton of it. I'm not a duck. I just
like the Ducks.
Speaker 4 (22:10):
I grew up in Oregon, and so this is one
where I get to wear my.
Speaker 3 (22:15):
You got your duck shirt?
Speaker 4 (22:16):
Yeah? What is it? What did it say in the back? Ducked,
get ducked? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (22:20):
Yeah, I like the shirt. It's a great shirt, and
I will I'm not a dog either, I didn't go
to U DUB. I grew up a Husky fan, went
to games with my dad starting when I was a kid,
my dad and my godfather, and I have loved the
Huskies my whole life. Yeah, that's it, same fun.
Speaker 4 (22:34):
It's the team I chose. I'm not going to change
just because we're the home of the Huskies.
Speaker 2 (22:39):
No, I'll talk, I'll talk more Seahawks. Doesn't mean they're
my favorite teams. And so this is the week where
it comes to a culmination. So go ahead and send
your text into four nine four or five one, and uh,
let us know what you think about the game, and
and let us know.
Speaker 3 (22:56):
Let me hear it if you want to let me
hear it. I'm fine with that. If you're dock fan,
which grosses me out to say, but if you are,
go for it.
Speaker 4 (23:04):
Yeah, and in a text, it's not gross. It's wonderful.
You're a wonderful person.
Speaker 3 (23:08):
I'm thinking you when I complimented the Ducks on something
and I almost puped in my.
Speaker 4 (23:12):
Mouth, Yeah, well you should get used to it.
Speaker 3 (23:14):
Oh, Palmer just looked at me.
Speaker 4 (23:15):
Gad thing, what a lot of things should be complimentary about.
Speaker 3 (23:18):
It was on one piece of one uniform?
Speaker 4 (23:21):
Is there? Great uniforms?
Speaker 3 (23:23):
Literally the smallest thing I could have complimented recognized. It
was really hard for me.
Speaker 2 (23:28):
You need to recognize Palmer er, we got we got
better uniforms. You're gonna see that up close and personal
this weekend. Take that Puke green, Take that Palmer.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Ooh, Palmer not so great?
Speaker 2 (23:40):
Yeah, Palmer not great this weekend. That's all I'm talking about.
All Right, we got to we got to get to
our Factor fiction pick.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
Here, where's that to go?
Speaker 5 (23:48):
Glad you're with us, it's your shot at our weekly
thousand bucks and the ten thousand dollars grand price. It's
Factor Fiction, probably presented by Lucky Eagle Casino in Hotel.
Speaker 4 (24:00):
We're every day feels Lucky.
Speaker 5 (24:02):
Factor Fiction is on Sports Radio ninety three point three
kjr FM.
Speaker 2 (24:09):
All right, it is our pick, Ashley. It is your
turn to finish this out. You get two this week,
even though it's a three day week.
Speaker 3 (24:16):
I know, and I got the first one wrong, so
I'm feeling a lot of pressure to not go oh
for two this week. I have been racking my brain
with three options. But here's what here's my logic on
where I'm going. Okay one, I want to I want
to pick a game where I want to cheer like
I'm where I'm already have a rooting interest.
Speaker 4 (24:31):
Yep.
Speaker 3 (24:31):
Okay two. I love it when I look at a
couple different websites and the point spread is very different
on one website versus the website. Actually, kay, so we're
going to take the Seahawks versus the Vikings, oh minus
the ten ooh lay in ten. I think the Seahawks
(24:52):
have something to prove. They got there. I think they're
here in the chatter that they should have closed it
out last week. They got a little sloppy, they made
it closer than it should have been, and I think
they're out to prove a point plus if you've got
if JJ McCarthy's out, which I don't know if, I
don't really care if he is or not, but I'm
just saying I'm ready for some domination.
Speaker 2 (25:11):
Well, yeah, they did not look good last week, lost
twenty three to six to the Packers. Packers looked more
like the team that they're supposed to be, but they
lost to the Bears before that and a close one
lost to the Ravens before that. I mean they they haven't.
I don't know if they've covered a spread when they've
lost yet. Well, and in fact, it looks like, no,
they have not covered a spread when they've lost.
Speaker 3 (25:30):
They ain't gonna cover it this week.
Speaker 4 (25:32):
It does feel like a recipe for a butt whooping.
Speaker 3 (25:34):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (25:35):
That said, they for some reason don't want to just
whip people's butts.
Speaker 3 (25:39):
No, they're gonna because they want to show everyone. You
know what. Okay, we have it in us.
Speaker 4 (25:43):
Okay, well, hey, I'll be right there with you.
Speaker 2 (25:46):
I mean on Sunday after the Ducks beat the Huskies
on Saturday.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
I'll be cheering with all of my friends on Sunday.
Speaker 2 (25:52):
So if you agree with Ashley, this is where the
factor fiction game comes in.
Speaker 4 (25:57):
You text in to four nine, four or five one.
Speaker 2 (26:01):
You text in fact, if you agree with ash if
you think that that's too big of a spread, then
you disagree and you by saying fiction. Excuse me. Yeah,
I was on the verge of coffee the entire segment,
and then it just came out you hit the right button.
I did.
Speaker 4 (26:19):
That was nice to.
Speaker 2 (26:19):
Hit the talkback button and just coughing your ear and
the listeners us yesterday. But yeah, if you factor fiction
texting factor fiction at four nine and four or five
to one.
Speaker 4 (26:28):
If you get it right, you enter yourself into.
Speaker 2 (26:31):
The I don't know what hat it's not Shocky's hat,
but a hat somewhere to win one thousand dollars we
give away one thousand dollars weekly, or we don't.
Speaker 4 (26:39):
Lucky Casino does. And if you are yeah, there, we
go get our screeches on as many as we can.
Speaker 2 (26:44):
And then if you do end up, if you're playing
the cumulative game where over the course of the full season,
if you get the most right, that winner will win
ten thousand dollars from Lucky Eagle Casino. And basically you
got twelve minutes from back. I don't know, it was
probably two minutes ago when Ashley made her pick. You
have twelve minutes from that point to text into four nine,
(27:05):
five or five to one fact or fiction. You can't
type anything else or it doesn't count. We I think
we got our bounce backs going, yeah, don't screw it
up by take you know, typing in faction. That's not
gonna win. Even though it kind of covers both, they
don't cover neither. It is what it will happen. So
if you want to win thousand dollars, you can do
it right now. You don't have to have been playing
all year. If you're somebody's been playing all year and
(27:25):
you want to win the ten grand, better not miss
out on this one.
Speaker 4 (27:28):
And actually's giving you something to cheer for. I think
you're gonna get a lot of facts.
Speaker 3 (27:31):
We got a text that said a trap game, Ashley School.
The trap game would have been last week against the
one in nineteen. That is the trap game.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, it could be one that gets overlooked.
I don't think it will be. You don't overlook Vikings.
I'll just tell you that right now, dumb. When they
sail upon your shores, you don't just take it lightly.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
I mean, the Vikings beat the Lions, so you can't
take them too lightly.
Speaker 2 (27:55):
No, they could, they could do some good stuff, but
hopefully they don't do it this weekend. So School back
a texture anyway, Thanks again to the Lucky Eagle casino
in Hotel.
Speaker 3 (28:06):
Here you go, Keith three.
Speaker 4 (28:07):
Every day feels lucky, all right.
Speaker 2 (28:09):
On the other side of this, we're gonna read some
of your text, So send in your text fort nine
four or five to one about what you're thankful for
and you can go ahead and talk trash to me
if you'd like. You stick around here Sports Radio ninety
three point three KJRFM, and thank you for all the
listeners for listening to us even when Chuck's gone. We
get some text that people did, like the one by
the way. It said, I'm thankful for Bucky being on
(28:29):
the radio during baseball season, but they should.
Speaker 4 (28:32):
Give him what you say, like November to February off.
It's a great idea, sir.
Speaker 3 (28:37):
Yeah, you just made Bucky's dreams come true with it.
Speaker 2 (28:40):
You're that purple sheet. Yeah, listeners, the listeners are always right.
Speaker 3 (28:44):
Yeah, they want Bucky only for baseball season and then
Bucky gets vacation the rest of the year.
Speaker 2 (28:48):
I think it's a wonderful idea. I'm going to work
towards that. Thank you, listener, great idea. We got a
bunch of text messages as you want to read some
of these.
Speaker 3 (28:57):
Oh, we got this one from the four two five.
I'm thankful for my friends, my children, and my full
head of hair. Sixty three, forty nine and five numbers.
Don't lie, Buck, you Dub is just the better team.
Sit down, little brother.
Speaker 2 (29:09):
Oh he just called me little brother. Yeah he mocked it,
um falloically challenged.
Speaker 3 (29:16):
Yeah, I think so.
Speaker 4 (29:18):
And then he brought up the all time record. Yeah,
not talking about this year's because any do you guys.
Speaker 2 (29:24):
Get like a point differential? Do you start with points
because of the overall record?
Speaker 3 (29:28):
No, And I was going to write him back, but
I was like, you know what, I'm not going to
I'll just read it on the air because then it says,
talk to us when you have a better record. And
I was going to write back, but they do have
a better record right now. So Yeah, but I liked
the trash talking.
Speaker 4 (29:40):
It was good bringing good good. Uh.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Yeah, we got some more in here right the IM
I guess I need to add.
Speaker 4 (29:47):
Oh that was trap game.
Speaker 3 (29:49):
Yeah, that was trap game. Yeah. Uh We're got.
Speaker 4 (29:52):
Ever go dogs.
Speaker 3 (29:53):
Oh We've got This is from two five to three.
I'm I am thankful for my wife, kid's grandchildren, and
my health. Everyone should take a minute to be thankful
for living in the greatest country in the world and
our freedoms. All that being said, suck it, Bucky and Duck.
Happy Thanksgiving. We can be friends again after Saturday, all right,
suck it. Huh Yeah, Palmer really liked that one.
Speaker 2 (30:13):
You can duck off. Sorry, I thought that would get
a little bit of a worry out of you.
Speaker 3 (30:21):
I said, duck Yeah, that's why I paused. If you noticed, I.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Went, oh that's funny, don't do it again.
Speaker 3 (30:27):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (30:28):
Uh yeah. There's a lot of people that like talking trash.
I'm sure my buddies are going to be relentless this weekend.
At least at least one of them will be. I
think a couple others are a little bit sick, skeptical
about how the game's.
Speaker 4 (30:40):
Going to go.
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:41):
This one's from the two five to three. I'm thankful
for my family, Bucky. I'm on your side. Take them
Husky Boys down. I like seeing the home team upset.
Speaker 4 (30:52):
This one.
Speaker 3 (30:52):
This one from the four to two five. The Quacks
seriously better uniforms, which one of the three hundred different
ones is that they can't make can't make their mind
what to wear from week to week, don't even know
and don't care what the colors are. Black and silver,
puke baby snout, green, duck poop yellow. Has the kicker
figured out how to kick? Yet? Quacks suck always go dogs.
Speaker 2 (31:14):
There's a lot Yeah, they do have a lot of combinations,
and I will agree that they they switch around a lot,
but they usually look pretty good. They have some that
are bad, I'll openly admit it. They have some that
are horrible.
Speaker 3 (31:26):
The pain splatter, pop splatter.
Speaker 4 (31:28):
I hear the paint splatter ones. And they don't play
well when they were they on Saturday.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
I think they might have worn them against Penn State
this year, and believe it or not, that was a
good game. Even though Penn States sucked, we broke them.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Oh, Palmer wants me to read the top one, Bucky.
Just remember Oregon still has no national championships in football.
Speaker 4 (31:51):
Yeah, we've got a lot in track though.
Speaker 3 (31:54):
Yeah, that is good. Tim says it's so cute to
hear all the Washington fans think they're better than they are.
I'm pretty sure no one said that we think that
the Huskies are going to win. We're just talking trash. Yeah.
Speaker 4 (32:07):
True.
Speaker 3 (32:07):
I just want a close game. I don't want to
get blown out. But that's also how I feel when
we play Oregon every year and sometimes it works out
in our favor.
Speaker 4 (32:15):
Well it has.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
I mean, somebody texted in the fact that what are
they look three out of four against Landing. Yeah, so,
I mean they've had his number, so to speak, kind
of sort of yeah, not too terribly. The whole kicking one.
I'm not a giant fan of our kicker because it's
the kid from Oregon State, Oh, transferred from He's a beaver,
(32:38):
a rodent, and then we picked him up. Now he's
made some good kicks, he's missed a couple. I'm not
super pumped. I wouldn't be super pumped about Grady either,
the U Dub kicker.
Speaker 3 (32:49):
I do love Great, he hasn't been all that great.
I see what you did. They're Grady Great. I do
love Grady Gross. But yeah, I mean I there's not
a lot of college kickers that you just see them
and you're like, oh, they're nails every time. Let's be honest.
Speaker 2 (33:02):
Yeah, there's a reason that they're in college, and most
of them don't go on to the pros. It's not
as easy. I get nervous now. I didn't never used
to be nervous for kickers growing up. It was kind
of make it, and then when they would not, I
was surprised. Now I almost feel like they're going to
miss especially college kids. I feel like you're going to
miss I'm surprised when they make it.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
NFL kickers are kicking from seventy yards these days. We
got this one from the three six. So just truly
thankful for all of you and your voices. Daily Listener
feels like a sports family that's from Todd on Wouldby Island.
Thank you, Todd. Have a Thanksgiving all right.
Speaker 2 (33:34):
Somebody else thinks I should put money in a jar.
Put five dollars in the jar every time I talk
down the Huskies. Oh I really you talk down the
Huskies all that often?
Speaker 3 (33:43):
You actually talk about I mean, you've said the words
we before when talking about the Hut.
Speaker 4 (33:47):
Yeah, those are mistakes.
Speaker 3 (33:48):
Yeah, maybe, or maybe it was how your heart really feels.
Speaker 4 (33:51):
No, how my heart feels. It's when you get to where.
Speaker 2 (33:55):
My buddies love the fact that I talk about the
Seahawks and the Huskies way way more than I.
Speaker 4 (34:01):
Talk about the Broncos and the Ducks.
Speaker 2 (34:03):
They love it. They're like, it's so funny. Yeah, it's
real funny. It's not really that funny. I know. I'm
not putting any money in the jar. I never talked
down about the Husky except for during Duck Week.
Speaker 4 (34:13):
Give me one week.
Speaker 3 (34:15):
Yeah, he's allowed. It's a rivalry week. He needs to
we're encouraging me. Oh, we got this one from the
four to two five who deserves a big congratulations. I'm
thankful for my family, including the addition of my new
granddaughter born this morning. Bucky, sorry to say it, go dogs.
Congratulations for too five.
Speaker 2 (34:32):
I'm not going to talk trash back to congratulations grandpa
or grandma.
Speaker 3 (34:36):
Which everyone you know, grandparent.
Speaker 2 (34:38):
Hopefully everyone is happy and healthy. So unfortunate that baby
is going to be brought up wearing purple probably and uh,
they're gonna be oh and one, they're gonna be first game,
first game of their life. They're gonna lose four to five. No,
we need all three of you all year round. You
do a great job, keep it up, happy Thanksgiving. So
I guess you don't get vacation. No no, no, no no,
no erase that. Can you erase that one? I'm taking
(34:59):
this text thing to purple sheet. I'm supposed to basically
have everything off except for a baseball.
Speaker 3 (35:05):
Season, as you should.
Speaker 2 (35:07):
Yes, that's it makes sense, all right. Well, thank you
for sending your text, and I am thankful to everybody
that listens. Obviously, We wouldn't have a job if you
guys didn't listen, and so we appreciate you, each and
every one of you, even those that hate on me,
because I'm a duck fan and you guys can duck
off as well. On the other side of this, I'm
gonna have an hour of getting pummeled by Softy and
(35:29):
Cam because we're going to have a Huskies roundtable right
here next on Sports Radio ninety three point three KJRFM.
