Speaker 1 (00:00):
Broadcasting live from the Queen Anne Beer Hole. This is
the twenty sixth Annual Muller and Millen Mock Draft, presented
by Coors Light by R and R Foundation specialists, and
brought to you by Queen Anne Beer Hall and Delta Airlines.
Now with Commissioner Dick Fane at the podium, Here's Hugh
Millan and Dave Softey Muller.

Speaker 2 (00:22):
All right, football fans, right back here the Queen Ann
Beer Hole, our number two of the annual Maler Milon
Mock Draft. I believe we just set a Maler Millon
mock Draft record for slowest first round. But that's okay.
That means we have to pick things up in the
back end. Mar we are pros. We can handle it.

Speaker 3 (00:35):
Softie and Hugh from the Beer Hall fix.

Speaker 2 (00:37):
Thanks to Delta Airlines for providing our grand prize, a
one thousand dollars voucher anywhere Delta Airlines flies. Cam Ward
went number one to the Titans, Travis Hunter of the Browns,
Abdull Carter to the Giants, and the Patriots selected running
back Ashton Genty from Poise State at number four. That
puts us Now on the clock at number five. The

(00:58):
frost sprewed cors light, cold hard facts on the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Good God, I'm getting sick and tired of seeing them
in the top five.

Speaker 3 (01:06):
Man.

Speaker 2 (01:06):
This is the fifteenth time Houst since two thousand and
eight the Jags have picked in the top ten, and
nine times since twenty twelve, they've picked in the top
five four and thirteen. Last year one and eight on
the road, and a brand new head coach. Former buccaneer
O C. Liam Cohen is the new man replacing Doug Peterson.
Jaguars gave Trevor Lawrence a five year deal. We're two
hundred and seventy five million, and then he went out

(01:27):
and missed seven games with a passer rating of eighty five,
eleven touchdowns, seven picks. Two new linemen though for him,
and center Robert Hainsey from Tampa and guard Patrick McCary
from the Ravens. Jaguars on defense dead last and passing
D twenty eighth in scoring D and second to last
and opposing passer rating. Nobody gave up more big plays

(01:48):
than the Jaguars did. They had seventy one plays allowed
of twenty yards or more. And here they are picking
number five in the NFL Draft. To the podium we go.
The pick is in the Jaguar is at number five.
Here's Commissioner Fain with.

Speaker 3 (02:06):
The fifth pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft.

Speaker 4 (02:08):
The Jacksonville Jaguars select Mason Graham, defensive tackle Michigan.

Speaker 2 (02:14):
Hey, but a few Jaguar fans and attendance like to
pick seven tackles last year for Michigan played thirty nine
games overall. That you of them, And again we just
got done talking about how terrible this Jaguars defense is.
And now they have a new interior star in Mason Graham.

Speaker 5 (02:29):
Yeah, and you look at him, man, Look, he's not
gonna sell Armani suits. He doesn't carry his weight great
six four to two ninety six, got a little bit
of a belly. But this is a strong man, a disruptor,
a tone center with his attitude.

Speaker 3 (02:43):
He plays the three technique.

Speaker 5 (02:45):
Is that's his best alignment, which is the outside shade
of the guard typically where you get that b gap
where you got some opportunities to penetrate, and penetrate he does.
He's very strong, packs a serious punch on his way
to the quarterback and running backs, and in watching what
he does, it's clear that he had a really robust

(03:08):
career as a high school wrestler. He really understands leverage
he comes in. There's an attitude about him, and a
lot of the highlights I have seen on ESPN, they
keep showing him getting a sack and it against my son.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
So this this m a effort can go. You know what.
But I'll tell you what. Love his demeanor. I think
in the same way.

Speaker 5 (03:30):
That the Lions loved how Aiden Hutchinson fell to them
another Wolverine, I think that this guy has the ability
to be a leader in that regard just by his tenacity. Now,
if there's a concern, he played on the same defensive
line as Kenneth Grant, who may well go today as

(03:51):
a defensive line so a stacked defensive interior there, so
he probably got some more one on one opportunities than
he would have otherwise had he been the loan defensive tackle,
like most of the prospects that we review. But and
then the other part of it is sometimes he's just
a little bit over aggressive. He's more of a lot
of times he overruns a play, doesn't break down, doesn't throut,

(04:12):
and I would say he's more of a disruptor than
a finisher. In terms of looking at his stats, he
hasn't produced them. He has produced the pressures. Though thirty
four pressures was tenth best of all interior defensive lineman.
He had a twenty one and a half percent win
rate anything over twenty on the interior. That's around where
Byron Murphy was a year ago. So that's elite, even

(04:34):
though the sack numbers are not. And finally, here's a
little factoid. He's on the same high school team as
Ted McMillan. Ho about that survivor High school should have
caught him for some inside I know what to feed him?
Member the quarterback for the Wildcats. Of course, they better
have won that Orange County League, right.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
Well, the two guys to then call about McMillan would
be Mason Graham and Jed Fish.

Speaker 3 (04:57):
By the way, you know him better than anybody. Well
that's the pick right there.

Speaker 2 (05:01):
Mason Graham goes to the Jaguars there at number five.
That puts the Las Vegas Raiders and head coach Pete
Carroll for the first time as the coach of the
Raiders on the clock. And Pete Carroll actually had a
question for you.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
Hugh Millin. You what's up man? Where you've been? It's
been around? All right? Swear to around Sersofty he figures
out where you are.

Speaker 2 (05:21):
We gotta know where Hugh Millan is at all times
with the Raiders, the frost Brewed Corps, light cold hard
facts on the Raiders all right, four and thirteen. Pete
Carroll obviously there Gino Smith. There two things Caroll likes
to do, run the ball and play great d right well.
Vegas was twenty sixth and scoring defense last year. Also
the worst rushing team in the NFL. Only one team
average less than one hundred yards a game. He won

(05:41):
the ground and it was the Raiders at seventy nine
yards a game. That is hard to do in just
three point six yards per carry. Raheem Mostert is their
top running back for now after coming over from Miami.
Also gave guard Alex Kappa a two year deal from
the Bengals and have a brand new starting strong safety
and Jeremy Chin from the Commanders. You gotta wonder the
Ashton Jenny pick by the way to Patriots. How much

(06:02):
did Pete Carroll have his eye on Jenny right here
at number six. How upset was he when Jenny went
off the board at number four to the Patriots?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
To the podium we go, and let's find out what
Pete Carroll will do. What's up?

Speaker 5 (06:15):
Man?

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Where you been?

Speaker 2 (06:16):
With his first pick as the head coach of the Raiders,
here's Commissioner Faith.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
With the six pick of the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the Las Vegas Raiders select Tyler Warren, tight end Penn State.

Speaker 2 (06:30):
How about that Tyler Warren tight end running back, quarterback.

Speaker 3 (06:34):
He does it all right for Penn State. Okay.

Speaker 2 (06:36):
Last year had one hundred and four catches for twelve
hundred yards and eight touchdowns from the tight end spot.
Plus he ran twenty six times for two eighteen and
four touchdowns. Plus he threw the ball six times for
sixteen yards and a touchdown.

Speaker 3 (06:52):
Yeah and against USC.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
Yeah, seventeen for two twenty four in a touch and
he tore.

Speaker 3 (06:58):
The Huskies up and Happy Valley. Tyler Warren.

Speaker 2 (07:01):
We just got done talking about how you nique Travis
Hunter is. How about this guy?

Speaker 5 (07:04):
Okay, I'm just wondering that what are they serving here
at the Queen Ann Beer Hall?

Speaker 3 (07:10):
Because stop dipping the wings in stupid sauce? Have we
heard of brock Powers? Have we heard of brock Bowers? Like, like,
if you set.

Speaker 5 (07:23):
A need of any team at any position that is
like the least needy, it might be the Raiders at
tight end, right, Like, like, look, I get it would
be nice to have Tyler Warren, but what are some
of those other needs here? I mean, you got running back,
any offensive tackle, their defense, anything on defense?

Speaker 3 (07:45):
Will Johnson? Anything on defense?

Speaker 5 (07:46):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (07:47):
But hang on, though, is Pete Carroll looking at what
the raid the Patriots did when they had Hernandez and
they had Gronkowski and they killed it?

Speaker 3 (07:55):
I mean, if Tyler Warren ends up being Travis.

Speaker 2 (07:57):
Kelson, I guarant doesn't matter what you need that point
the page.

Speaker 3 (08:01):
Well, first of all, Aaron Hernandez was a fourth.

Speaker 5 (08:03):
Round draft thing, okay, and Gronkowski was the second. Second
of all, I guarantee you the I don't know what
exact year that they put those together, but the but
the Patriots were a hell of.

Speaker 3 (08:13):
A lot better team right then, right than they are now? Like, Like, look,
I would I like to have Tyler Warren on my team? Okay, yes, okay,
but I would like all the other positions.

Speaker 5 (08:26):
And it's a shame because in Tyler Warren, this is
one of the coolest tight ends we've seen in twenty
seven years. I mean, you can just I mentioned Gronkowski.
I just see nothing but Gronk. Okay in this.

Speaker 3 (08:39):
Guy, Now, why would you rip the pick? I think
I realized they have brock powers. I realized for need.
It's not the perfect scenario.

Speaker 2 (08:46):
But again, if this guy is going to turn in
to Tony Gonzalez or Travis Kelcey or the best tight
end in the history of football, doesn't matter right now
what they need.

Speaker 5 (08:57):
Honestly, it matters what they need. Yes, it matters what
they need, all right? They whatever benefit. What are you
gonna be in twelve personnel every single down, every single down?

Speaker 3 (09:08):
So you you're.

Speaker 5 (09:09):
Never gonna You're never gonna have three receivers on the field.

Speaker 3 (09:13):
What about third?

Speaker 2 (09:14):
Long you stay in twelve for personnel? I just wanted,
for the record, where's Wayne Rankin? Where's the Raiders GM?
I'm defending you, pal okay, because you're on an island,
all right. This guy's coming after, He's gonna meet in
the parking lot. I got your back, Wayne, Look, dude,
would I like to have if I if I'm a coach,
what I like is to say, hey, when I go
twelve personnel, I'd love to have brock Bowers and ty Warren.

Speaker 3 (09:36):
Yes, uh yes I would.

Speaker 5 (09:39):
But when you can, they're drafting six for reason, Dave,
Oh yeah, yeah, all right. So at any rate here
we got, we lost the opportunity to really well bark
about Wayne's not gonna win the Delta Airlines gift card?

Speaker 3 (09:51):
Is that what you're saying to me?

Speaker 2 (09:53):
Can we just go ahead and make that proclam me?
Can you buy him a drink? At least not beating
the guy to death on the not unless people are.

Speaker 3 (09:59):
Really sucking down those wings with that sauce between now
and the end of the draft. Give me a thought
on Tyler Warren. Tho'll make it.

Speaker 5 (10:06):
Oh, this guy's a stunt right, No, he's just phenomenal.
I mean, look look at his versatility. He lined up
in the backfield sixty nine times. That doesn't count the
forty times that forty times occasions that he lined up
as quarterback in line.

Speaker 3 (10:19):
Four hund and fourteen in the slot two.

Speaker 5 (10:21):
Under ninety three out wide as a wide receiver ninety
three look, there's a big discussion about whether he or
Courtland Loveland, Colton Colston leveland correct is the premiere tight end.
And he doesn't move like Loveland. I would say there's
a little bit there Compared to Loveland. He's a little

(10:42):
bit sluggish in his gait, but he's stronger at the
point of attack.

Speaker 3 (10:46):
He literally dave that.

Speaker 5 (10:47):
I'm not even saying this for exaggeration. He has more
one handed catches on his tape than he has drops.

Speaker 3 (10:53):
This guy has beautiful hands, strong hands. Watch his high
school on YouTube.

Speaker 5 (10:58):
Go to YouTube and look at his high schoo well
basketball highlights. Right, this guy lives above the rim, he
lives above shoulder pads in the end zone and and
just hands that are incredible, and and and when I
first saw him playing college football, I thought just eyeball
on him.

Speaker 3 (11:14):
And I feel like most of.

Speaker 5 (11:15):
The time when I see a guy, if I ever
look up their size, i'm I don't I don't claim
to have any special abilities on it. I think you know,
I'm not like in some circus and I can bet
your weight or I guess your weight. But I think,
just like all of us, if you watch a lot
of football, you kind of look and you say, oh,
he looks like he's about six three two forty two,
is like yeah, like, and then he's one of those guys.

(11:36):
This guy is six six two sixty And so when
I see a guy that looks like he moved sixty
three the way the way he moves sixty three sixty
four and yet he has the athleticism in that big
of a package, I don't know. I'll just say it again.
He's Gronk Junior, and uh, I'd love.

Speaker 3 (11:53):
To have him, but I think the Raiders.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
Dave all kidding aside, I just think the Raiders have
more pressing needs. It's an eleven personnel league. Eleven personnels,
one running back, one tight end, and three receivers, and
so I think just to have that luxury in a
twelve position, which is.

Speaker 3 (12:14):
Kind of a one off.

Speaker 2 (12:16):
Yeah, yeah, Well, we'll see be fun to watch this.
If he doesn't need tomorrow, I'll go to the Raiders
because he's got future starting written all over him. Well,
the Jets then are now on the clock at number seven.
The Raiders just took Tyler Warren and our annual mock draft.
Here's the frost brewed Corse like coltheart facts on the
Jets all right, five and twelve last year? Excuse me
another team of the new head coach and Aaron Glenn

(12:37):
Robert slid fired last year. Jets have a new quarterback
for Aaron Rodgers was let go. Jets will try and
make the playoffs for the.

Speaker 3 (12:44):
First time in fifteen years.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
Justin Field's a starter for now, with Tyrod Taylor behind
him and outside of Garrett Wilson Hugh, here's who the
Jets have it wide receiver thirty year old Josh Reynolds
who caught thirteen passes the last two years, Alvin Lazard,
Tyler Johnson, and Alachai Corley, and according to cousin Evan,
they have a desperate need for a tight end.

Speaker 3 (13:05):
They would have loved to have seen Tyler Warren here
of this pick.

Speaker 2 (13:10):
Jets took a left tackle at number eleven last year
in oulu Fashana, who started seven games. The right tackle,
Morgan Moses, took off in free agency for the Patriots.
The Jets have not had a Pro Bowl quarterback since
Brett Farv in two thousand and eight. And how about
this year, the last time the Jets drafted a quarterback
that made the Pro Bowl. Any idea last time the
Jets drafted a quarterback that made the Pro Bowl was

(13:32):
Ken O'Brien in nineteen ninety. How about that thirty five
years ago. The pick is in for the Jets at
number seven.

Speaker 3 (13:40):
To the podium. We go and Commissioner Fame.

Speaker 4 (13:43):
With the seventh pick and the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the New York Jets select armand Membo, offensive tackle Missouri.

Speaker 2 (13:52):
Armand Membo, who started off as a right tackle at
Missouri six four three thirty two. And again we talked
about they took Fashanu last year who started seven games
but got banged up, and Morgan Moses is gone. Did
they just draft the right tackle to replace Morgan Moses?

Speaker 5 (14:11):
Has a right tackle? Ye got played right tackle a
very yes. Well, look, he's a really good athlete. He
shows really strong leg drive. But I just say I'm
attracted to the speed of his feet. He has light feet.
You know, they they've used the term dancing bear, this guy.

Speaker 3 (14:30):
He has it.

Speaker 5 (14:31):
I think I think he lacks a certain physicality as
punch placement at times is soft. But I think when
you're talking about a guy that he's really come on
kind of a late developer. He's aged twenty one right now,
and so I think that his scale is really inclining.
Uh and and so I think you get at a

(14:51):
position in need, certainly for the Jets, I do think
that he is the best tackle prospect in the draft.
I think it's closed, but certainly if you're going for
right tackle, he's your guy.

Speaker 2 (15:04):
Well, the Jets just took a new lineman in obviously
Membo from Missouri. Let's find out now what the Panthers
do at number eight. Carolina on the clock and the
Corps light cold hard facts and the Panthers are all
back five and twelve terrible team last year led the
NFL with a minus one ninety three point differential Hue
and their twelve losses, they were beaten by an average

(15:26):
of eighteen and a half points a game.

Speaker 3 (15:27):
He's got crushed by everybody.

Speaker 2 (15:29):
Bryce Young number one picking the twenty three draft after
two years as a passer rating of under eighty. I
guess the good news is they're getting sacked almost four
times the game is rookie year, that number five to two.

Speaker 3 (15:39):
And a half.

Speaker 2 (15:40):
Last year Panthers were thirtieth and passing offense a year
ago leading wide receiver is Adam Thielen, who was barely
over six hundred yards in five touchdowns, and he's thirty
five in August. By the way, Panthers didn't do much
in free agency and offense, but spent a ton on
defense though, adding safety Trevor Morak from the Raiders and
defensive tackle Teersean Wharton excuse me from Kansas City. Panthers defense,

(16:02):
by the way, gave up a league guy thirty five
passing touchdowns, with the worst opponent passer rating in the
NFL at one hundred and five point four, ended the
year with the worst rushing defense in the NFL, and
gave up one hundred and eighty yards a game on
the ground. They were just all kinds of suck on
both sides of the balls. A miracle they won five games.

(16:22):
By the way, it's shocking to the podium.

Speaker 3 (16:24):
We go. The Panthers pick us in. Let's find out
what Carolina.

Speaker 2 (16:28):
Does at number eight, Commissioner Fame with the eighth big
and he twenty twenty five NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers
selects Jaylon Walker, Edge Georgia. All right, so the first
the Seaton, the second Edge rusher goes off the board.
We saw Abdul Carter go earlier. Jaylon Walker, who some
folks have lifted as a linebacker. I assume that Panthers

(16:49):
use this guy as a pass rusher. Uh six one
two forty three, six and a half sacks, eleven tsls
in fourteen starts. He started forty three games in three
years view for Georgia.

Speaker 3 (17:00):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (17:01):
One interesting cat in that he is verified at six
foot one even okay, two hundred and forty three pounds,
that has to be the shortest edge that we've seen
Dave in twenty seven years, certainly in the first round,
and so okay, why well, I think that what you
have with Michael Parsons and his ability to move around

(17:25):
and play all positions, there's a versatility that this guy has.
He's he's listed as an edge, but he has He's
a guy that you can move around.

Speaker 3 (17:33):
I think that if you're gonna take him.

Speaker 5 (17:35):
This high at eight, you've got to employ a scheme
where you're gonna be doing a lot of zone zone blitzes,
a lot of simulated pressures walking him around into the
gap because he can play off ball linebacker.

Speaker 3 (17:49):
Again, at six foot one, you think he's gonna lose.

Speaker 5 (17:51):
Some battles with the LA I mean, we just saw
the Super Bowl with Josh Sweat destroying the chief and
his principal attribute.

Speaker 3 (18:01):
Was his long arms coming around the edge.

Speaker 5 (18:04):
Now they had Joe Tonia converted, you know, it slipped
over from guard did the Chiefs out to left tackle.

Speaker 3 (18:10):
But there's never been a model for more of a need.

Speaker 5 (18:15):
To have length in pass rushing than what we saw
in that Super Bowl. So he doesn't bring that, but
he's got We talked at the beginning of the show
about Ruben Foster. This dude has a little bit of
Ruben Foster. Some nasty, some explosiveness, alpha male type of dominance,

(18:35):
heavy hands, jolt skies, closes, hard physical demeanor, great mentality.

Speaker 3 (18:42):
I would just say, you know, there's a question.

Speaker 5 (18:44):
About how he reads and reacts in zone. I think
he just wants to see ball, get ball, destroy ball
type of a player and he has the attributes to
do it. Very interesting development to have a guy at
six foot one Zachlee.

Speaker 3 (19:02):
And to be drafted this high as an edge as
an edge rushing all.

Speaker 2 (19:06):
Right, So just to recap, we are through the first
eight picks. Cam Ward goes number one. Travis Hunter, followed
by Abdell Carter to the Giants. Ashton Jenny went to
the Patriots at four, Mason Grand of the Jaguars at five,
Tyler Warren uh and the Stupid Sauce went to the
Raiders at number six. Armand Membo offensive tackle went to
the Jets at number seven, and the Panthers just took

(19:26):
Jalen Walker, edge rusher from Georgia at number eight. All right,
that puts the Saints, Bears, Niners, Cowboys on the clock.
Will continue next from the Queen Anne beer Hall for
the Annual Maler Millan Mock on ninety three to three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (19:41):
Now back to the twenty sixth Annual Muller and Millan
Mock Draft, presented by Coor's lot Are and our Foundation
specialists and brought to you by Queen Anne beer Hall
and Delta airlves on Sports Radio ninety three point three
kJ r FA.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
All right, Andrea back of the and Bear Hall for
the annual Mahler Millen Mock Draft. We are through pick
number eight. The New Orleans Saints now are on the clocket.
You up to date in a second on what we've
done so far big thanks to Delta Queen and Beer Hall,
Corps Lights, simply Seattle, and of course our friends over
at Taco time. The New Orleans Saints now are on

(20:19):
the clock at number nine in the NFL Draft. Let's
get to the corps light cold heart facts on New
Orleans five and twelve last year. Now a brand new
head coach and Kellen Moore quarterback Derek Carr miss seven
games last year, may miss the entire season or a
significant portion of it, Hugh with a shoulder injury. Saints
defense adding Chase Young defensive end, justin reach safety and

(20:42):
free agency. Plus they signed wide receiver Brandon Cooks away
from the Cowboys and lost corner Paulson a Debo to
the Giants and wide receiver Marquez Valdez.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
Scanling to the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Saints finishing twenty twenty four twenty fourth in scoring offense
and third to last in total defense with the second
worst run defense in football.

Speaker 3 (21:04):
Let's get to the podium.

Speaker 2 (21:05):
Saints now on the clock at number nine in the
annual Mahler Millen Mock Draft.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
That pick us in here is Commissioner Faith.

Speaker 4 (21:12):
With the ninth pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the new New Orleans Saints select mike L Williams edge Georgia.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
Okay, so back to back edge rushers from Georgia. Jalen
Walker went to Carolina. Michel Williams from the Saints at
number nine uh five sacks, nine tackles for loss in
forty starts for Georgia. He's only twenty years old. He
turns twenty one in June. Hugh, and how about this?
You know who hates this guy is Steve Sarkesian. Four
of his five sacks came against Texas to win the

(21:42):
regular season, and two more in the SEC championship.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Six five, two sixty five.

Speaker 2 (21:47):
Mikel Williams edge rusher Georgia is now a Saint again.

Speaker 5 (21:50):
A little bit more of a traits pick here. Obviously,
what you have extremes. He had a six to one
edge guy and now you have a true six foot
even two hundred and sixty five pounds.

Speaker 2 (22:03):
Ye, did Carolina take the right Georgia edge rusher you
think versus this guy could have had either?

Speaker 3 (22:08):
Well, I think he's more than an edge rusher. I
think he's just kind of to me.

Speaker 5 (22:12):
I think that you take hint Walker, if you want
to have an amoeba defense, move him around. There's like,
like there's certain style that you want to play moving
him all around. If you want to just be like
what the Eagles were and then line up and win
with four and just play at more vanilla and just

(22:32):
win with with technique, then you want Michel Williams because
he would project as a guy you you you a
believe mentioned his age at sixty five and two sixty
five and he's got thirty you know, thirty four and
three eights arms in eighty two and five eighths wins
with wingspan that eighty third percent of so big dude.
The traits are there, the separation. He has an easy

(22:56):
power and fluidity.

Speaker 3 (22:57):
To his game. What what I'd be concerned.

Speaker 5 (23:01):
About is that he's been hurt a couple of times.
He had a high ankle injury in the twenty twenty
four openers, so we missed that he had had Fritz
surgery in the spring of twenty twenty three. So there's
that part of it. But with the traits, the length,
the athleticism, if you're willing to swallow the injury risk,

(23:23):
this guy could be a defensive van again on a
four man a style like what we saw in the
Super Bowl. Let's just rush for every single down, no blitzes,
and will still create pressure.

Speaker 3 (23:35):
This guy has the ability to do that in a
couple of years. Well, the Saint Steinen for sure.

Speaker 2 (23:38):
On defense, they had a bad, bad defense last year,
no question about it.

Speaker 3 (23:41):
All right.

Speaker 2 (23:42):
That gets us to the Bears now at number ten.
The Frost Brewed Corps Light cold hard facts on Chicago
five and twelve and Caleb Williams rookie year. Hell have
a new head coach in Lions. Offensive coordinator Ben Johnson's
thirty eight years old. He's the new head coach in Chicago,
and the Bears were busy over the offseason. Love of
the Bears did over the offseason man the offensive end,

(24:02):
defensive line. They set a sixth rounder to Kansas City
for Joe Tooney. They signed Jonah Jackson and center Drew
Dolman from Atlanta, and Grady Jarrett came over when the
Falcons let him go on the defensive side, and they
gave defensive Enddyo Adangbo thirty two million guaranteed from the Colts.
That's five new linemen that they brought in in free agency.
Bears finished dead last in total offense twenty eighth and

(24:24):
scoring thirty first in passing and did end to excuse me,
twenty twenty four thirteenth in scoring defense, though with a
league low seventeen pass touchdowns allowed, but also gave up
sixty eight sacks last year, which was a league high.
The Bears now on the clock at number ten, first
draft pick for Ben Johnson, the brand new Bears head coach.

Speaker 3 (24:47):
Let's find out what they did in the podium we go.
The pick is in. The Bears are on the clock
at number ten. Here's Commissioner Faith with.

Speaker 4 (24:54):
The tenth pick in the twenty twenty five NFL draft,
The Chicago Bears select Colston love Life tight end Michigan Bears.

Speaker 3 (25:02):
Fans like it here at the mock draft.

Speaker 2 (25:04):
Coleston Lovelin fifty six catches five eighty two five touchdowns.
He had three catches for sixty four against the Dogs
in the championship game a couple of years ago six
six two forty eight was the Idaho Gatorade Player of
the Year. Hueie, by the way, and he is now
a member of the Bears offense.

Speaker 3 (25:21):
A new target for Caleb Williams.

Speaker 5 (25:23):
Yeah, I gotta see that yellow highlight there, Gatorade football
Idaho player.

Speaker 3 (25:26):
It's pretty good.

Speaker 5 (25:27):
Yeah, stuff still in my stuff. We're like a ven diagram.
I just put liners on now. Now. Listen, he grew
up on a farm. Brandon Calves all stayed in high school.
So an interesting cat comes to Michigan, and you know
he just he fits the profile of just a tall
wide receiver. If he was six foot two and two twenty,

(25:50):
he would have been a wide receiver at Utah State. Instead,
the good Lord gave him six foot five and three
quarters and measures at two forty eight. Still has that
wide receiver proportions and more importantly, wide receiver skill set
in terms of for a tight end. Now, just a
beautiful route runner in and out of the breaks. He'd

(26:10):
get the speed down the middle, gigantic cats radius. That's
why I mentioned the all state basketball prowess in high school.
The hands just very confident in his hands, and so
I would just say, look, he played outside. He was
the Michigan pass offense. And we saw the Wolverines in

(26:33):
Husky Stadium the.

Speaker 3 (26:35):
Three games that leveland got hurt.

Speaker 5 (26:37):
The Michigan pass offense had fifty six yards passing per game.

Speaker 3 (26:42):
Now, that wasn't a glitz with the radio.

Speaker 5 (26:44):
I did say two fifty six, I did say one
fifty six fifty six yards.

Speaker 3 (26:47):
You know they were archaic, but when Loveland was on
the field, that.

Speaker 5 (26:50):
Was the one target. And he did have a shoulder surgery.
He had an ac surgery in January of this year.
I've had that surge, so I'm a little bit concerned
was on my left throwing shoulder.

Speaker 3 (27:03):
But I wouldn't have wanted to be a tight end
trying to block him.

Speaker 5 (27:06):
Speaking of blocking, that would be one of the concerns
you have about him because of his relatively lean frame.
He's not gonna be a overwhelming blocker. I think he's
a willing blocker. He just doesn't have the girth, the weight.
I think the angles are hard. But he's one of
the youngest players in the draft. Is he was born

(27:27):
on April ninth, two thousand and four. That means he
just turned twenty one a week or two ago. So
this guy is an emerging player, a beautiful athlete.

Speaker 3 (27:38):
You gotta use him scheme wise.

Speaker 5 (27:40):
He's not gonna be great as an inline guy, but
he's gonna be.

Speaker 3 (27:43):
A big dude. Making big catches.

Speaker 2 (27:45):
Yeah, back to back young guys. Michael Williams only twenty
and this guy just turned twenty one. As you said,
So Colston Lovelin goes to the Bears now at number ten.

Speaker 3 (27:53):
That puts us to the forty nine ers, Baby on
the clock.

Speaker 2 (27:59):
At number eleven and the frost Brewed Corps Light Cold
Hartfax On Santa Clara six and eleven, last place in
the NFC West in twenty twenty four, and lots of change.
I'm gonna fire through the change here in a second cornerback,
Tarvarius war defensive tackle, Javon Hargraves, safety, Toldoahafunga guard, Aaron Banks,
linebacker Dray Greenlaw all gone. Niners lost thirteen and a

(28:20):
half sacks when Leonard Floyd and Malite Cobins left for
free agency, and right now former Seahawk Trey Brown Hugh
was listed as a starting corner for them. If you
can believe that Deebo Samuel gone after a trade with
the Commanders. Brock Perty is at OTA's but as of
now is in the final year of his contract with
mac Jones, now number two. George Kittle, also in the

(28:41):
final year of his deal, he'll be thirty two when October.
Niners ended twenty four fourteenth in scoring offense, but twenty
ninth in scoring defense. Let's find out what the forty
nine ers now do on the clock. At number eleven,
to the podium we go. The pick is in for
San Francisco at number eleven. Here's Commissioner Faate with.

Speaker 4 (29:00):
The eleventh pick of the twenty twenty five NFL Draft.
The San Francisco forty nine Ers select Chamar Stewart's edge
Texas A and M.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Chamar Stewart's six foot five, two sixty seven.

Speaker 3 (29:13):
Now here's the thing in thirty seven starts.

Speaker 2 (29:15):
He only had three and a half sacks combined combined
in three years at A and M.

Speaker 3 (29:20):
But he's got a forty inch vert Is that right?
This kid? I had it at four and a half.
I thought he had one and a half per year.
But well, if it's.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Four and a half or three the way, sorry, you
know what, You're right? My fault four and a half
sacks combined three years. I was a little dyslex up there.
But the forty inch vertical, the freak of nature obviously
turned down the Niners.

Speaker 3 (29:38):
Shamar Stewart is now a forty nine you're hitting on
the synopsis of this kid. Look, the forty nine ers
must be feeling.

Speaker 5 (29:45):
Lucky like like as if they're they were the team
that moved to Vegas because Shamar Stewart is the ultimate
gamble I think in this respect of Okay, what's the
high side you touched on it? A forty inch vertical yes,
ninety eight percentile for his position to anward sixty seven
pound man forty four to five nine, ninety four percent,

(30:09):
wingspan of eighty three and a half. I mean, this
guy is the all time I mean a ten yard
subtle of a one point fifty eight that's eighty nine
percent of so his size, his movement, all the things
that you measure as an athlete are elite. But you
but where's the production. You mentioned the four and a
half sacks total in no year did he ever have

(30:32):
a sack in the last seven weeks of the season.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
So this is what the forty nine ers are get
in with it.

Speaker 5 (30:38):
Now. He has elite length and hand power and all
the things that you want as an athlete.

Speaker 3 (30:44):
He's just turning twenty one years old.

Speaker 5 (30:47):
This this he turned I should say, in in November
twenty twenty four. But you know he has a consistency
as a pass rusher. Obviously is hit and miss. I
think he he got unlucky. There was some times, you know,
like a baseball player hits the ball hard and just
at somebody. I think there was times where he had
a win rate and he had a chance to get

(31:07):
but the ball was out. So I think that the
numbers are worse than what the tape shows, but there's
still a conspicuous lack of productivity and so on scale,
I think every talent evaluator has a scale, a linear
scale where on the one end is potential in athletics
and unrealizing then production. And clearly this is an athlete

(31:31):
that is as far as you're going to see on
the potential and as far away as you can be
on production. Right along that scale, that's where the forty
nine ers are living with this pick.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
Well, just to recap quickly, cam Ward went number one
of the Titans and the annual Madel Millen Mock Draft,
followed by Travis Hunter to the Browns, Abdull Carter to
the Giants, Ashton Jenny Boise State running back to the
Patriots at four Jaguars took Mason Graham from Michigan.

Speaker 3 (31:56):
Tyler Warren went to the Raiders at number six.

Speaker 2 (31:59):
I picked Humulin Love by the way armand Membo offensive
tackle Missouri went to the Jets at seven. Jalen Parker
edge rusher Georgia to the Panthers at eight. Mackel Williams
ed rusher Georgia to the Saints at nine. Colston Loveland,
Michigan tight end, went to Chicago, and then Shamar Stewart
ed rusher a and m just went to the Niners
at number eleven. That means we are on the clock

(32:20):
with the Dallas Cowboys, Colts Falcons. The Seahawks are seven
picks away. We'll continue in the annual Maler Millan Mock
Draft next from the Queen Ann Beer Hall right here
on ninety three three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (32:34):
Now back to the twenty sixth annual Muller and Millan
Mock Draft, presented by Corslet R and R Foundation specialists
and brought to you by Queen Anne Beer Hall and
Delta Air Loves on Sports Radio ninety three point three
KJR FM.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
All right, boys and girls, we're back of the Queen
Anne Beer Hall for the annual Mahler Millan mock Draft
through pick number eleven.

Speaker 3 (32:58):
Uh man, we got to pick up the here.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
This is like a record for the slowest mock draft
of all time. Holy crap, almost two hours in and
we're only through pick number eleven. We may have to
stay on the air until eight or nine o'clock tonight.
And trust me, the audience nobody wants that, all right,
trust exactly big Thanks to Anders back in the studio, Jackson,
Dick Fine here on site, Delta Airlines, Corps, Light Tackle Time,

(33:21):
simply Seattle and are on our foundation specialists.

Speaker 3 (33:24):
All right, we are through pick number eleven.

Speaker 2 (33:26):
The Niners just took Shamar Stewart edge rusher from Texas
A and M. That puts the Dallas Cowboys. Now I'm
the clock at number twelve. Course, like holdheart facts on
Dallas seven to ten. Last year, Mike McCarthy fired, Brian
Schottenheimer hired as the new head coach in Dallas. They
lost Dak Prescott after eight games. Last year, the numbers
showed you. Cowboys went from first in scoring offense to

(33:48):
twenty first. Dallas didn't do much of anything in free agency.
As a matter of fact, the biggest contract they gave
out was bringing back their own punter and Brian Anger.
Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is now a Seahawk. Jordan cornerback
and wide receiver Brandon Cooks are also gone, and outside
of Ceedee Lamb, the next best wide receivers are Jalen
Tobert and former second rounder Jonathan Mingo. Rico Dowdell ran

(34:11):
for over one thousand yards a year ago, but he's
now in Carolina Cowboys at running back as of now,
leading on free agents Javonte Williams and Miles Sanders.

Speaker 3 (34:19):
Let's find out what the Cowboys do at number twelve.

Speaker 2 (34:23):
The pick is in and the annual Mahler Millen Mock
Draft of the podium we go and Commissioner Faith With.

Speaker 4 (34:29):
The twelve pick at the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the Dallas Cowboys select Kelvin Banks, junior offensive tackle, Texas.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
Calvin Banks junior six four three twenty had forty two
starts for Texas. By the way, a lot of that
is because Texas was playing deep into the playoffs the
last couple of years.

Speaker 3 (34:47):
But another tackle is off the board.

Speaker 2 (34:50):
This time it's Calvin Banks of the Longhorns, goes to Dallas,
stays in Texas and will play for Dallas.

Speaker 1 (34:55):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (34:56):
Well, I think that this is the better of the
tackle in that group. And when I say in that group,
Will Campbell would be in that group. And now the
Cowboys spent a number one on a left tackle, a
late one last year in Tyler Geydon, So they didn't
They evidently don't feel like they got the production that

(35:18):
they want out of him. But that's a lot of
resources now dedicated to left tackle. Kelvin Banks is a
guy that look, I think he has just better feet
than Will Campbell, who was thought to be the number
one tackle. Now he doesn't have maybe the punch of
Will Campbell, but a better athlete. And now he plays

(35:39):
with there's a certain length that he plays with where
he gets his arms locked out and you can't get
into him. And I think he's got the feet to
support that technique.

Speaker 3 (35:50):
Not a great but there's a hell of a lot.

Speaker 5 (35:53):
A lot of great tackles play without an elite punch
as long as they play with length and we and
that's what you see with Calvin Bank.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
Well, we are through pick number twelve and we have
not had a wide receiver. We have not had a corner,
we have not had a safety taken so far in
just the one quarterback in this year's draft, and that
was cam Ward going number one overall on the mock
draft to Tennessee. That puts the Dolphins now on the
clock at number thirteen. The frostbrewed Corps like Couldehart facts
on Miami eight and nine last year, Mike McDaniels all

(36:22):
of a sudden year four, Hugh as the head coach,
is looking for a playoff win. Dolphins went from number
one and passing at number two and scoring in twenty
three to fifteenth.

Speaker 3 (36:30):
And passing in twenty second last year.

Speaker 2 (36:32):
After two a tongue Iloa missed six games, Dolphins top
three pass catchers and Tyreek Hill, Jalen Wattle, and tight
end Johnny Smith are all back.

Speaker 3 (36:42):
Miami picked up a new interior.

Speaker 2 (36:44):
Lineman and James Daniels from Pittsburgh, but lost Kalis Campbell
and safety Jevon Holland in free agency. Let's find out
what the Dolphins now due at number thirteen to the
podium and we go. The pick is officially in the
Dolphins on the clock at number thirteen.

Speaker 3 (36:59):
Here's Commissioner Fan With.

Speaker 4 (37:00):
The thirteenth pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the Miami Dolphins select Will Campbell offensive tackle LSU.

Speaker 2 (37:08):
Well, he just got done saying a few minutes ago
that you like Calvin Banks over Will Campbell. Well, we're
gonna find out, because Will Campbell in thirty seven starts
at LSU just became the thirteenth pick of the draft
at six six three twelve.

Speaker 3 (37:20):
He's now with Dolph.

Speaker 5 (37:21):
Yeah, really interesting prospect. I like his nastiness. There's a
certain arrogance that he has. I mean, this is a
guy that came in to baton rouge and it started
from day one. As a freshman he was second team
All SEC. As a true freshman.

Speaker 3 (37:40):
He did not.

Speaker 5 (37:42):
And then the next year he did not allow a
sack in four hundred and ninety one pass box slaps.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (37:48):
And and last year in twenty twenty four, five hundred
and fifty seven pass block snaps only allowed two sacks.
So this guy, you'd say, well, wait a minute, this
guy produces right.

Speaker 3 (37:58):
Interesting athlete ran.

Speaker 5 (38:00):
A forty and four ninety eight ninety fourth percentile, but
his arm length is the fourteenth percentile at thirty two.

Speaker 3 (38:09):
And a half. His wingspan.

Speaker 5 (38:11):
I never see any athlete in any measurable achieve what
I'm about to say. His wingspan is in the one percentile. Wow,
not top one percentile, one like ninety ninth worse.

Speaker 3 (38:25):
Wow.

Speaker 5 (38:25):
Okay, so interesting. Now you say, wait a minute, he's
blocked in the sec. Those are going to be the
dudes that he's blocking on Sundays, the same guys he
blocked in that conference.

Speaker 3 (38:36):
And there's some truth to that.

Speaker 5 (38:38):
A couple more points on his fastest max velocity of
seventeen point nine miles an hour was faster than any
offensive lineman in football.

Speaker 3 (38:47):
You say, well, wait a minute, he doesn't have to run.

Speaker 5 (38:49):
What was the attribute about Walter Jones that everybody loved
that he ran a four to six?

Speaker 3 (38:53):
Now they didn't have the GPS tracking to get the speed.
I thought it was that he pulled trucks around his right.

Speaker 5 (38:59):
Yeah, that too, that too, right, So there's a lot
of interesting dicotomists. I hope that's an adjective in terms
of the uh what he presents now. The concern is this,
he can really struggle with framing up the speed rushes
off the edge, and my concern about him is really simple. Look,

(39:22):
I think the arm length thing I stated what I
feel like in the super Bowl, we saw that on display.
I don't think it's a it's a total non factor.
But if you can block in that conference, you can block.
Here's the thing I just see him quote unquote winning
yea too deep in the pocket. Garrett nus Meyer, who's
projected to be a top five quarterback next year's draft. Yep,

(39:46):
Garrett Nussmeyer just had this guy, number sixty six, Will
Campbell in.

Speaker 3 (39:51):
His lap rep after rep after rep. The speed to
power bull rush.

Speaker 5 (39:57):
I'm worried that the elite defensive ends this league are
absolutely gonna truck this guy because I just wow, I
just I've seen too much of him giving up too
much ground. And so at an event I think an
interesting candidate, A lot of people talking about him going
forward to New England.

Speaker 3 (40:15):
Uh, and and yet here he slides.

Speaker 5 (40:17):
So so perhaps these general managers that that that have
weighed in today they kind of feel like, uh, they
see some of the things I see. Probably the book
would say this is good value. But if the guy,
if you if you draft him and he gets trucked
by speed to power bull rushes, it's not worth a
mid second.

Speaker 3 (40:37):
Round pick or a mid third round pick if he
can't play. I'm not saying he can't, but he's the thing.

Speaker 5 (40:41):
Guys, Yeah, there's a You just look at all I'm
not gonna risk list the entire names, but you filter
all the draft picks and you say, who are the
bus And there's this too many busts in the first
round to to be ignorant of the fact that can happen.
And I think that Will Campbell has a in opinion,
a high bust alert.

Speaker 2 (41:02):
Well, I mean again, all thirty two teams as of
right now have a first round draft pick, and that's
never happened since the merger, that everybody has used their
original first.

Speaker 3 (41:11):
You're talking about it at this point. I'm talking about
even in the first round period, the picks because we
know we're gonna get trades tomorrow. Correct, I'm saying as
of today, there's no trades.

Speaker 2 (41:21):
Yes, okay, it's never happened since the merger, where everybody
has hung on to their original pick. And I think
that might speak to the lack of quality in this
draft that nobody wants to trade into the first round.
More teams wanting to get the hell out of it
than they do want to get into it, all right.
Will Campbell is the latest pick to the Dolphins at thirteen.
That puts the Colts on the clock at fourteen, followed

(41:41):
by Atlanta Arizona at sixteen, the Bengals, and the Seahawks
at number eighteen. We'll find out what the Seahawks do
and the mock draft very soon right here on ninety
three to three kJ rff
