Speaker 1 (00:00):
Broadcasting live from the Queen Anne Beer Hall. This is
the twenty sixth annual Muller and Millen Mock Draft, presented
by Coors, Light by R and R Foundation specialists, and
brought to you by Queen Anne Beer Hall and Delta Airlines.
Now with Commissioner Dick Vane at the podium, Here's Hugh
Millan and Dave Suftey Muller.

Speaker 2 (00:21):
All right, we're gonna roll here. We got through pick
number twenty one.

Speaker 3 (00:24):
Shudor Sanders just went to Pittsburgh and our mock draft
of Seahawks, by the way at eighteen took Grey Zabel
from North Dakota State. Offensive Lineman, We're gonna pick up
the pace here and bang out the final ten in
the last hour of the show. Big thanks to the
Queen and Beer Hall for having us out here. The
Chargers now on the clock at number twenty two. Corps
Light colde Hard facts on the Chargers year one with

(00:45):
Jim Harbaugh, and they went from five wins to eleven,
did exactly what a lot of us thought they would
do and win right away, lost by twenty by the
way to the Texans, and the wildcard round replaced running
back JK. Dobbinson free agency with Naje Harris from Pittsburg
after four straight one thousand yard seasons with the Steelers.
ELI last year eleventh in scoring offense and number one

(01:08):
in scoring defense. I bet you didn't know that. Let's
find out what the Chargers do. At number twenty one,
the pick is into the podium. We go, here's Commissioner Fame.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
With the twenty second pick at the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the LA Chargers select Kenneth Grant, defensive tackle Michigan.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
Kenneth Grant becomes the second defensive lineman from Michigan taken,
joining Mason Graham. He went to the Jaguars at five
of the mock six four to three thirty six and
a half sacks the last two years for the Wolverine.

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 5 (01:36):
And when Harbaugh for the Chargers played his brother John,
they really got pushed around on the interior. And so
so now Jim, he had Poonafoi Pooniford.

Speaker 2 (01:50):
We know a poon Afford. Let him go. They had
a big need here. This feels a position of need.

Speaker 5 (01:56):
And when you talk about defensive tackles, there's three down
guys that are three techs, meaning the outside shade of
the guard or there's two down guys that are one
tech or nose techs. This is the latter, Kenneth Grant.
He is six foot three and a half three hundred
and forty two pounds. That is who prototypical nose tackle
type size. But great quickness involved in that and a

(02:21):
kind of elite quickness. And I would just say this
to wrap it, think videvea, love it, love it and
so big composition and need and they get the best
one tech.

Speaker 2 (02:32):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
In the draft, Chargers just took Kenny Grant, Michigan defensive tackle.
That puts the Packers now on the clock and the
annual maler Melon back draft. Green Bay cores like code
Hartfax eleven and six last year lost to the Eagles
in the wild card round.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
And how about this for the first time. They don't
usually do this.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
We're out and spend some money in free agency, grabbed
gardn Aaron Banks and cornerback Nate Hobbs. No Green Bay
pass catcher had more than seventy six targets last year,
and that was Dontavian Wicks. They did, however, have four
of them was seventy or more. But do they have
a true number one. They ended last year fifth in
both total offense and total defense. Let's find out what

(03:08):
green Bay does now with number twenty three, So the
commissioner we go with the Packers pick. Here's commissioner fate.

Speaker 4 (03:15):
With the twenty third pick in the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the green Bay Packers select a Mecca Agbuka,
oh wide receiver Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (03:23):
Local boy had a still a COUM six one two
oh three.

Speaker 3 (03:27):
The numbers look pretty good, but there's a caveat eighty
one catches thy eleven yards, ten touchdowns, but that's in
sixteen games for Ohio State.

Speaker 2 (03:36):
A year ago. He had ten touchdowns as a sophomore.

Speaker 3 (03:39):
You look at the game log and nothing really stands
out as a big, gigantic game for him.

Speaker 2 (03:44):
He was just real steady as the year one on.

Speaker 3 (03:45):
Of course, he also played alongside with the best receivers
in college football.

Speaker 5 (03:50):
Look, I'm personally I love the kid. My son was
a quarterback on his seven and seventeen. I will stand
on this table and vouch for his character. I think
this is a big time position in need for green Bay. Hue,
Christian Watson and Romeo dobs are outside receivers. Meanwhile, a
Mecca Buca he was a smooth slot receiver. Eighty one

(04:10):
point one percent of his his snaps were in the slot.
He was a Washington Gatorade player, the Washington State Gatorade
Player of the Year in twenty nineteen. Thrived in the
in the slot where he has more free access, smooth
body control, great awareness of zone coverage, how to idle down,

(04:31):
strong hands, convert to run after the catch. I mean,
this is a guy that was a top ten recruit
in the nation and fulfilled it all. He leaves at
Ohio State's all time leading receiver in program history. He
had twenty four touchdowns fifteen and we're in the red

(04:51):
zone where things get tight.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
He showed his football IQs. So listen. I think this
checks a lot of boxes. Dave.

Speaker 5 (04:58):
You're getting a team that needed a slot receiver at
a guy who is well coached, beautiful.

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Instincts in the slot. Yep. Just think this.

Speaker 5 (05:07):
If you haven't seen a Mecca Buka, just think Jackson
Smith and Jigba, because you're watching the same guy.

Speaker 3 (05:13):
A mechag Buca, a local guy, the first Washington born
player drafted in the draft. He goes to Green Bay
at number twenty three. That puts Minnesota now on the clock.
The course like cold hard facts on the Vikings fourteen
to three and lost the NFC North title game of
the Lions, then lost the wild card game to the Rams.
Ended the last year ninth in scoring, but combined for

(05:33):
only eighteen points the last two games of the year.
So they let Sam Darnold walk and are turning things
over to JJ McCarthy.

Speaker 2 (05:40):
Great weapons on.

Speaker 3 (05:40):
Offense, Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, tight end TJ. Hawkinson, running
back Aaron Jones all back. Went out and got a
couple of dude linemen two and guard Will Fries and
center Ryan Kelly from the Colts. Plus they added defensive
tackle Javon hard Graves from the Niners and defensive end
Jonathan Allen the Commanders. Let's get to the podiat the

(06:02):
Vikings now with twenty four. Here's the pick for the
Vikings to pick us In and Commissioner Faith.

Speaker 4 (06:07):
With the twenty fourth pick at the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the Minnesota Vikings select Jaday Baron cornerback Texas six.

Speaker 3 (06:15):
Five to eleven, one nine four ran a fourth three
nine forty at the combine had five picks last year
for Petewakowski's defense in Texas with eleven passes defense by
the way for the Longhorns, and that came after just
three picks in two years.

Speaker 5 (06:30):
Also a fifty year guy from Texasah. Well, think about this,
a fourteen win team that had a huge need. They
have Byron Murphy now, but this gave a new deal too. Yeah, yeah,
and yet they lost three of their top four cornerbacks.
Harrison Smith, the safety's thirty six years old. So in
Johnny Barron, you get in a guy that has played safety.

(06:52):
There's position versatility here. But you know, ran a four
to three to nine, so the speed is there. He's
at five almost six foot one hundred and ninety four,
so the stats are is right about on par where
you want to be in the NFL. But you know,
eighty six percentile in speed. Covers versatility has been a factor.

(07:14):
Very instinctive players played in the nickel. He's played on
the outside. He's aggressive, he's confident, he'll he'll fit the run.

Speaker 1 (07:23):
You know.

Speaker 2 (07:23):
The one thing you could say is that that he
is he does he lacks the elite.

Speaker 5 (07:28):
Speed the corner that some of the corners of this
draft have, and he can be prone to playing a
little bit physical at the top of the route. You know,
maybe that's has to do with his safety and his
versatility background, but you know that that could be you know,
penalty these type of things, so you can have to
calm that down. But in any event, I think where
you're picking the vikings, your need.

Speaker 3 (07:49):
Right the player, I think is a really nice pick
that puts the Texans now on the clock at number
twenty five. After you day baron cornerback, Texas went to
Minnesota at number twenty four, Houston now at number twenty five.
Let's get the corps like cold heart facts on the
Houston Texans. Last year AFC South champions How about this

(08:12):
for a weird stack point differential was zero. They scored
three seventy two and they gave up three seventy two.
Demiko Ryans has been to the playoffs twice in two
years as the Texans head coach, with two AFC South championships.
They have a new left tackle in Cam Robinson from Minnesota,
and they signed Lincoln Tomlinson from the Seahawks. They also

(08:33):
traded Christian Kirk to the Jaguars wide receiver and brought
back wide receivers Tank Dale the Nico Collins, but do
not have one.

Speaker 2 (08:40):
Wide receiver with more than one hundred targets. Last year.

Speaker 3 (08:43):
They also saw Stefan Dick signed with the Patriots after
he tore his ACL in October. Let's get to the podium.
Houston at number twenty five. The pick is in Here's
commissioner fame with the Texans at number twenty five.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
With the twenty fifth pick in the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the Houston Texans select Walter Nolan, defensive tackle, Mississippi.

Speaker 2 (09:04):
All Right. Walter Nolan is a transfer from A and
M that went to Ole, Miss.

Speaker 3 (09:08):
He was an All American six and a half sacks,
fourteen tackles for lost six four two ninety six and
is now a member of Demico Ryans defensive line.

Speaker 5 (09:16):
Yeah, and Demiko and Ryans. He that's where he was hurting.
Inside is Tim Settle defensive tackle?

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Manuh? He got Sheldon Rankins another defensive tackle. Meh? This guy.

Speaker 5 (09:27):
Nolan is a live wire if a defensive lineman could
be a live wire. He has the probably the most
juice in terms of athletic ability. I mean, this guy
is really a freaky dynamic athlete. He has a first
step explosiveness, great range for his size at three hundred

(09:50):
and five pounds sixty three.

Speaker 2 (09:52):
He is really a twitchy dude.

Speaker 5 (09:55):
It's it's not often you see a twitchy guy playing
in the guard by, but that's him now. As far
as concerns his hand counters, his hand placement probably still
needs some work. Is sometimes his reading and recognition on
diagnosing certain you know, eye candy type of run concepts

(10:19):
that could be improved. But if you're getting this guy
in again a position to need, you're getting a really
really electric athlete.

Speaker 3 (10:28):
Well we are through pick number twenty five, and the
Texans just took Walter Nolan defensive tackle out of Ole
miss after he transferred from Texas A and EM and
it pans out because the guy became an All American.

Speaker 2 (10:39):
The Rams now on the clock at number twenty six.

Speaker 3 (10:42):
The course like Codehart facts on the LA Rams ten
and seven NFC West champs, Boo lost to Philadelphia in
the divisional round, the lost Cooper Cup to the Seahawks.
When the Rams let him go after eight years in
LA Rams, though did replace him with Devontae Adams, and
also signed former Seahawks defensive tackle Pho to Ford and
Husky offensive lineman Coleman Shelton for some offensive line and depp.

Speaker 2 (11:04):
Now here's the crazy thing.

Speaker 3 (11:05):
Matt Stafford's back for year five already in LA seventeenth
in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (11:08):
He's thirty seven but only has two more years.

Speaker 3 (11:11):
Left on his contract, and tackle Rob Havenstein is going
to be thirty three next week and he's also in
the final year of his deal.

Speaker 2 (11:19):
Let's find out the Rams do at number twenty six
to the podium. We go and Commissioner fame with the
Rams selection.

Speaker 4 (11:25):
With a twenty six pick of the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the LA Rams select Mason Taylor tight end LSU.

Speaker 2 (11:33):
All right, you want to feel old, guys. That's Jason
Taylor's son.

Speaker 3 (11:37):
They just got drafted by the Rams at number twenty
six tight end from LSU. Mason Taylor fifty five catches,
five hundred and forty six yards a couple of touchdowns.
The Rams do have Tyler Higbee, but he's a free
agent after this season.

Speaker 2 (11:52):
And they may have just taken his replace. Yeah, I
don't know.

Speaker 5 (11:55):
I watched the Rams against the vikings of all the
games on college and pro that I watched, where I
just saw one team just flat out get after somebody.
The coaching was on point, the players are one point.
It was just an ass whooping like the Rams are
coming on. And I don't like saying that as a
Seahawk fan. Tyler Higbe's in there for another year. I

(12:16):
think this is a big time reach here, you know,
to given the championship phase that you think this guy is.

Speaker 2 (12:24):
I don't know. Maybe they just.

Speaker 5 (12:26):
See a an upside that I don't see. I think
you could have traded down. I think you could have
waited for the second round here. I mean, here's a guy. Look,
he's big, he's tough, catches a lot, he's smooth. Yeah,
you know, he's got the bloodlines, as he said, but
but he lacks top explosiveness as a route runner.

Speaker 2 (12:46):
He's still developing as a blocker.

Speaker 5 (12:48):
I mean, I if had you asked me five minutes ago,
I would have said, you know, this guy would be
late second round, not late first round.

Speaker 2 (12:56):
So hey, I guess it's good news your competitor.

Speaker 5 (12:58):
Yeah for Rams. If I'm if I'm right, if he's
if I'm right, and he's wrong on this pick, then
it's good news for the Seahawks.

Speaker 2 (13:07):
Let's hope I'm right. I don't know. I just not
overwhelmed by that pick.

Speaker 3 (13:11):
Got you well, Mason Taylor, Jason Taylor's kid is now
playing for the Rams for the twenty six pick overall
and the Maler Millen mock that brings us to Baltimore
now at number twenty seven. Cours like Cohart facts from
Baltimore twelve and five AFC NORD champions again lost by
two to Buffalo in the divisional round. John Harbaugh won
the Super Bowl in twenty twelve, but it's not been

(13:33):
back since, with just one trip to the conference title game.
Lamar Jackson's got a new wide receiver in DeAndre Hopkins
for a loaded offense that finished last year third points
and first in yards defense for the eighth time in
nine years, by the way, ninth in scoring, top nine
in scoring for the eighth time in nine years. So
let's get to the podium. Raven's now on the clock

(13:55):
at number twenty seven. Bear's Commissioner Faine with the selection with.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
The twenty seventh pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft.
The Baltimore Ravens select Malachi starts safety at Georgia.

Speaker 3 (14:07):
I don't know what it is about a guy named
starts just playing for the Ravens defense, but it just
kind of seems to fit.

Speaker 1 (14:12):
By the way.

Speaker 3 (14:12):
Malachi starts, UH six to one A buck ninety seven
ran a four five forty at the combine, had seventy
seven tackles last year for Georgia.

Speaker 5 (14:22):
What do you think, Well, I sometimes it just baffles
me how these good teams. I mean that the uh,
the Eagles did it last year with their secondary. You know,
Baltimore is one of the best franchises in the NFL.
And here there they had there they're good at safety,
you know, and they've got Nate or excuse me, they

(14:42):
got Kyle Hamilton, but they they needed in a safety.

Speaker 2 (14:49):
Marcus Williams was replaced and.

Speaker 5 (14:52):
And and they but they didn't get our Darius Washington
just wasn't what they needed.

Speaker 2 (14:57):
So here they have a safety need and they're sitting
there at twenty seven.

Speaker 5 (15:00):
Dave Ye and are arguably now there's there's a case
to be made for Nick Emm and Moorey, but I
think most the consensus best safety in the draft and
one that could have easily gone ten picks.

Speaker 2 (15:13):
Before is Malachi Starks.

Speaker 5 (15:15):
I mean he's a physical guy at four you know,
runs a four to five, a playmaker, a lot of
versatility on the back end.

Speaker 2 (15:24):
He can play the post, he can play down on
the slot, he can play a deep half.

Speaker 5 (15:28):
Very physical, he's a reliable tackle, has ball skills and
coverage ability. You know, he's just kind of an all
purpose badass. And here here a team draft in twenty
seven gets him.

Speaker 3 (15:43):
Yeah, well again, it just kind of feels like it's
just a perfect fit again for Baltimore. That puts now
the Lions on the clock at number twenty eight. He
cores light, cold hard facts on Detroit fifteen to two,
number one seed NFC nord champs who went eight to
no on the road last year but lost to the
in the second round at home after a ton of
injuries on defense. Only new start of the Lions signing

(16:05):
free agency was DJ Reid from the Jets the corner
after they lost Carlton Davis to the Patriots. So the
biggest difference they hope this year is going to be
a healthy Aiden Hutchinson, by the way, playing a defensive end.
They also get Marcus Davenport back for now is the
other defensive end. He's coming off a triceps injury. He
just played two games a year ago. So imagine how
different things would have been if those guys had stayed

(16:27):
healthy for Detroit. Let's go to the podium. Detroit now
on the clock at number twenty eight. Let's find out
what they do here. In an annual Miler Millen Mock,
Draft commissioner Feanne the Lions at number twenty eight with.

Speaker 4 (16:38):
The twenty eighth big of the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the Detroit Lions select Mike green Edge Marshall.

Speaker 3 (16:46):
Well, I'll tell you what, man, this guy had seventeen
sacks last year after only four and a half the
year before.

Speaker 2 (16:53):
For Marshall, he had twenty three tackles for loss.

Speaker 3 (16:56):
He transferred from Virginia, sat out two twenty two six three,
two fifty one. And if this translates, what a fine
for Aiden Hutchinson if he's healthy to have this guy
play on the other side. Yeah, and the loss of
Hutchinson really underscored what they needed. But again, I mean,
we've had a lot of cook picks here lately. But yeah,
Mike Green.

Speaker 5 (17:18):
If had he gone I'm gonna say it again, had
he gone ten twelve picks earlier, I would not have
been surprised. This is a guy that some people think
is that you know, obviously Abdul Carter is in a
class by himself, but there's there's some evaluators that had
him as high as the number two EDG Dresser. When
you think of how important that is, and you think
of of the Lions losing Aiden Hutchinson, who in every

(17:42):
magics was absolutely he was like Secretariat in the Belmont
in terms of being the defensive player of the year.
That's how much Aiden Hudginson was dominating. And he had
the gruesome leg injuries, kind of like a race horse
in that respect. But anyways, yeah, this position the Mike
Green here, here's the deal. Very twitchy dude wrote, you know,

(18:05):
yoked up, but it wasn't you know, Marshall, there's a
lot of bad competition, but Virginia Tech can't remember the
other opponent. But to have seen him do it at
the Senior Bowl, yeah, also dominated. You know, if there's
one question about him, it's his run defense. But you
know it's it's a little bit reminiscent David of Bruce Irvin. Right,

(18:26):
you know it was a pass RUSS specialist. I think
he's probably got a little bit more potential than we
thought Bruce did coming out of college.

Speaker 2 (18:34):
So a big pickup for the line.

Speaker 3 (18:36):
Well, it's a guy who transferred from Virginia because he
was accused of sexual assault and that's why he left Virginia.

Speaker 2 (18:42):
Was never charged, so he did nothing wrong.

Speaker 3 (18:44):
Faced some similar accusations when he was in high school,
but so far has not been charged in any of that.
Now he's a Lion in the mock draft, all right.
That brings us to the commanders now at number twenty
nine the course light, cold hard facts on Washington. You
get it twelve and five with d and you're number one.
Dan Quinn upset the Lions in the divisional round, then

(19:05):
got spanked by the Eagles and the NFC championship. Gave
up fifty five. Commanders spent some money to helped the defense.
They grabbed defensive tackle Javon kin Law and also let
go of Jonathan Allen after eight years in Washington. The
biggest news, though, Deebo Samuel is now a commander after
a trade with the Niners and Larry Tunsul is now
a commander after a deal with the Texans. Let's find

(19:26):
out what the Commanders do at number twenty nine. The
pick is in here now with Commissioner Fame.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
With the twenty ninth pick of the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the Washington Commanders select Nick m and Warri
safety South Carolina.

Speaker 3 (19:41):
So the Commanders went from thirty second to eighteenth in
scoring defense you in one year under Dan Quinn.

Speaker 2 (19:47):
I mean that's coaching right there.

Speaker 3 (19:49):
And they just added Nick even Warre's sixty three two
twenty safety out of South Carolina.

Speaker 2 (19:54):
Yeah, and they're trying to build. You know, they drafted
Mike Samers Steel from Misschigan, Michigan as as a nickel guy. Look,
he is.

Speaker 5 (20:04):
A lot of people thought that he was the best safety.
I think there's a very good argument Malachi starts. But
this guy has a lot of camp Chancellor in him.
Six three and an eight two twenty zone coverage instincts.
I mean, obviously he's a thumper, reliable tackle. It hits
it if there's a negative. His quickness. You know, there's

(20:26):
the reason camp Chancellor was the fourth rounder. You say, well,
a guy that yoked up, how fluid is he in
his hits? Well, Chancellor was able to overcome that, but
I think some of the same concerns about just you know,
when you compare him to a six foot guy, you
would expect a sixth guy to have a little bit
smoother and quicker change the direction.

Speaker 2 (20:44):
So you see that from time to time. But the
length brings its advantage as well.

Speaker 3 (20:48):
Let's come back and wrap up the mock awards, some prizes. Buffalo,
Kansas City, Philadelphia are on the clock to wrap it up.
Next from the Queen Anne beer Hall will recap the
whole thing as well. Tell you what the Seahawks did
in our mock draft next on ninety three three KJRFM.

Speaker 1 (21:06):
Now back to the twenty sixth annual Muller and Millin
Mock Draft, presented by COR's line Are and our Foundation
specialist and brought to you by Queen Anne beer Hall
and Delta Airlines on Sports Radio ninety three point three
kjr FM.

Speaker 2 (21:23):
All right, what do you say we wrap this bad
boy up?

Speaker 6 (21:26):
Man?

Speaker 3 (21:27):
We are through pick number twenty nine in the annual
Malar Millan Mock Draft. Pick thanks to the Queen Anne
beer Hall for hosting us here, everybody for coming on
a great time so far, but we're not done yet.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Got three more picks to get to the Commanders.

Speaker 3 (21:42):
Took nick em and Wari's Safety from South Carolina with
the latest pick the Seahawks. By the way, if you
missed it took Gray Zabel offensive lineman from North.

Speaker 2 (21:51):
Dakota State at eighteen.

Speaker 3 (21:52):
And by the way, we're getting ready for the show
from the Seahawks tomorrow. And so far we have not
had one trade into or out of the first round
that has never happened, by the way, in the history
of the NFL since the merger, where all thirty two
original first round picks were made by the original team.
So four well, probably not, but we're getting close, right,

(22:13):
We're getting close to making some history. So right now,
all thirty two teams have their original first round pick.
Last year we had ten picks that got moved in
the first round. Twenty three it was sixteen picks that
got moved in the first round. The top thirty eight, Hugh,
as of right now were all the original picks, and
fifty of the top fifty one are all original picks.

(22:35):
So you're probably right though. By tomorrow we're gonna see
some trades, all right, let's get to it. Twenty ninth, Actually, sorry,
thirty by fault. By the way, I've not started drinking yet.
That will come in soon, but not yet. Buffalo Bills
on the clock at number thirty, thirteen to four. Won
the AFC East by five games. They clinched the division
on December the first of last year. Man wonder if

(22:56):
that hurt him. By the way of the end, Josh
Allen won his first MVP but lost to Kansas City
in the AFC Championship game. Bills have been in the
top six and scoring five years in a row, finishing second.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
Last year.

Speaker 3 (23:09):
Added Josh Palmer from the Chargers wide receiver to play
alongside Shakur and Keyon Coleman, and they also signed Joey
Bosa after he was let go by the Chargers. Let's
get to the podium, Commissioner Fain. Buffalo now on the
clock at number thirty. Here's the pick.

Speaker 4 (23:24):
With the thirtieth pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the Buffalo Bills select.

Speaker 2 (23:29):
James Pierce Junior, Edge Tennessee.

Speaker 3 (23:33):
James Pierce Junior goes to the Buffalo Bills six five
two forty five, ran a four to four seven forty
had ten sacks as a sophomore seven and a half
as a junior last season, and the Bills did slip
a little bit here, went from eleventh in scoring defense
last year after finishing fourth in twenty twenty four.

Speaker 5 (23:52):
So James Pierce is now a Buffalo. Yeah, and I
think this is definitely a position in need. You have
Edge Greg Rousseau. Ye, he's he's in the middle of
a contract and in his prime. They just signed Edge
Joey Bosa, correct, and they had Von Miller, you know,
so they've been trying to fill that other side.

Speaker 2 (24:12):
So clearly the position of need.

Speaker 5 (24:13):
And in terms of James Pierce, you get a little
bit of a specialized player. I'm in he sixty five
two forty five high cut athlete. I mean, this looks
guy looks like a track guy bursting around the corner.
A very interesting combination here at four four seven, he's
in the ninety ninth percentile, but his vertical is only

(24:35):
thirty one inches, which is the twenty fifth percentile.

Speaker 2 (24:38):
Anyways, enough of that, it's just what's on the tape.

Speaker 5 (24:41):
He's I think he'll be a third down specialist guy,
and let's see if he can develop his game and
be a three down player.

Speaker 3 (24:48):
But for right now, I got that it's all about
the pastor. James Pearce went to the Bills from Tennessee
at number thirty. That puts the Chiefs Now on the clock.
At number thirty one, the Corps lightsh facts on Kansas
City fifteen to two. AFC West champs for the ninth
straight year, Playoffs for the ninth straight year, Super Bowl
for the third straight year, Conference title game for the

(25:10):
seventh straight year. Blah blah blah, but lost to Philadelphia
and blew a chance to three peat for the first
time ever as Super Bowl champs. Let's find out what
the Chiefs Now do at number thirty one, to the Ponium,
we go for the penultimate pick in the Mather Miller
mock Draft.

Speaker 2 (25:27):
Here's Commissioner Faith.

Speaker 4 (25:28):
With a thirty first pick in the twenty twenty five
NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs select Donovan Jackson, offensive
lineman Ohio State.

Speaker 3 (25:37):
Donovan Jackson becomes the second Ohio State player taking here
in the mock draft, joining a Mecca at Buka who
went earlier in this draft of the Packers at twenty three, six, four,
three fifteen, started fifty one games here at Ohio State.

Speaker 5 (25:52):
Well, darn I was hoping to chief. I was hoping
he'd slide to Seattle in the second round. Where you're, yeah,
you should have told somebody, Yeah, I like the pick.

Speaker 2 (26:00):
I'll tell you what.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
This guy he got thrown into tough duty. How about
you start the twenty twenty four season at left guard.
But then Josh Simmons gets hurt at tackle and you
got to pop out to tackle. And your first game
is against Penn State and Abduall Carter. So he gives
up two sacks in that game and a lot of
pressures and what have you. But after that he buttoned

(26:21):
it up for the next five nine snaps. He didn't
have any sacks after that first game with against Abduall Carter.
Here's a guy that has a tough punch and he
combines that with a good step, and I like him

(26:43):
in the zone blocking where his first step I think
he can reach.

Speaker 2 (26:46):
I think he could swivel his hips.

Speaker 5 (26:48):
So I was liking him as an opportunity to play
under Clint Kubiak in that zone scheme. So in an event,
might be a little bit of a reach here, given
that he's not an elite applet a butt.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
I like him.

Speaker 5 (27:01):
I like how he picks up the stunts. I like
how he picks up the blitzes. I think he's a
smart guy. He shows a good feel for how to
to sort that out. So I think the IQ is there.
Just you know, the athleticism warrants more late first, late
or early second round.

Speaker 6 (27:18):
Got you.

Speaker 3 (27:18):
Donovan Jackson goes to the Chiefs offensive lineman at number
thirty one, which is great news for all of you
because that brings us to the end of the annual Maler.

Speaker 2 (27:28):
Millen mock Draft.

Speaker 3 (27:29):
Philadelphia is on the clock fourteen to three Super Bowl
champs for the second time in eight years.

Speaker 2 (27:37):
Nick Siriani is thirty nine and twelve in three years,
and just.

Speaker 3 (27:41):
Gave running back Saquon Barkley a brand new deal to
keep him locked up through twenty twenty eight.

Speaker 2 (27:46):
Made the highest paid running back in the history of
the NFL.

Speaker 3 (27:48):
Eagles, though lost a little bit in free agency, including
starting defensive linemon Milton Williams and Josh Sweat, plus starting
right guard McKay Beckton at number one, corner Darius Slay
plus a backup corner in Isaiah Rodgers to the podium.
We go for the final time this year for the
annual Mahler Millon Lock Draft. Let's here for Commissioner Dick
Fane one more time. Here's the Eagles pick at number

(28:11):
thirty two, with.

Speaker 4 (28:12):
A thirty second pick in the twenty twenty five NFL Draft,
the Philadelphia Eagles select Chavon Revel, junior cornerback East Carolina.

Speaker 3 (28:22):
Well, we just got done talking about how they lost
Darius Slay. Now they get maybe his replacement, Shavon Revel.
You know, he went to Lewis lewis Burg College in
North Carolina, which is a two year school transfers to
East Carolina, had a pick for a touchdown against app State,
tore his ACL in practice and missed the rest of

(28:42):
the year, and declared for the draft in November. Now
he plays for Philadelphia.

Speaker 2 (28:46):
Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 5 (28:48):
I look, I get, you know, the six to two,
the one ninety four, But you spent first and second
rounders the Eagles on dbi's last year, right, I mean
they have the second. I yet that they're a really
talented team, but I can't imagine that their secondary needs
from what I saw studying that secondary, I don't think they.

Speaker 2 (29:09):
Need a corner. It wasn't a position to need.

Speaker 5 (29:11):
You're you're drafting a guy that, uh that, as you said,
coming off an ACL injury. But but uh, I don't
know he's a long corner coming off an injury.

Speaker 2 (29:22):
Yeah I haven't. Yeah, well, I gotta tell you, man,
that sounds like hell. You know what?

Speaker 5 (29:29):
I dounds like You're done based on my response. Two,
I know the MLB has thirty teams. Yeah, I think
my mock draft needs a thirty team.

Speaker 3 (29:42):
About twenty. I think I'm just gassed out. Yeah, I
got to Who the hell is this guy?

Speaker 2 (29:46):
I don't know. We're gonna prease.

Speaker 3 (29:49):
We'll come back and award some prizes and recapped the
entire mock draft. Who's gonna take home a thousand bucks
to Delta, We'll find out ninety three to three kJ RFM.

Speaker 2 (30:01):
Now back to the twenty sixth.

Speaker 1 (30:03):
Annual Muller and Millen Mock Draft, presented by Coors, lut
Are and our Foundation specialists, and brought to you by
Queen Anne beer Hall and Delta Airlines on Sports Radio
ninety three point three kjr FM.

Speaker 2 (30:21):
And that surprises. First of all, thanks to the Queen
Anne beer Hall.

Speaker 3 (30:24):
Giving up for the wait staff here, Dick Fane, Jackson
Felt anders Hurst back in the studio. How about my
boy Huey Millan over here. Man, you guys learn a
few things right from my guy Hugh. But we have
reached the point of the evening where we actually reward
the audience for sitting through this nonsense for the last
four hours. So for third place in the annual Malar
Millen Mock Draft, we got one hundred bucks to taco time,

(30:46):
which I forgot in my office at home, by the way,
so I have to find a way to get it
to you. Para Mariner baseball tickets as well. Number three,
who do you got?

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Well? I think this, First of all, there's thirty two
people that are are he got six minutes and twenty
nine going to be disappointed? Okay, everybody's great.

Speaker 1 (31:04):
This was.

Speaker 5 (31:05):
This was. There's a lot of honorable mentions I'll get to,
but I think this when you are one of the
premier teams in your conference and you suffer an injury
at a position, a very high impactful position, and then
you watch your season slide and you don't realize your potential.

(31:26):
And then you're sitting there at the back of the
draft and a guy comes to you that has all
the juice and has produced seventeen sacks when you lost
in Aiden Hutchinson a premier player. I think for the
Lions to stan Pad at twenty eight and to find
Mike Green seventeen sacks at a big time position in need,

(31:51):
I think that's worthy of.

Speaker 2 (31:52):
The top three. He gets third, third place, Mike Green.
That is Nick Monica. By the way, congrats Mike. You
want a hundred bucks to tack of time and a
pay of Mariners tickets? All right? Second place and the
mother miller mock what do you got? Well?

Speaker 5 (32:05):
I think when you when you're a new coach and
you come to a team and you want to establish
a culture, a culture that you have established before, both
as a professional coach and as a national championship winning coach,
and you feel like, hey, we're just missing on the
physical piece of this. And then you're sitting there saying, hey,

(32:26):
I gotta gut my defensive line because it's not getting
the job done. And then you hang there. You got
to pick in the twenties, and you pick up. You wait,
for a guy that you coached. You know his character,
you know the juice he brings. You know that he
has rare quickness at his size at.

Speaker 2 (32:44):
A position you need. You need that nose tackle, you
need that physicality. That's what you're trying to establish on
both sides of the ball.

Speaker 5 (32:50):
You're Jim Harbaugh and Kenneth Grant falls all the way
down to you at twenty two.

Speaker 2 (32:55):
That's a top three pick in my opinion, and he's
deserving the number two.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
Kenny Grant and the Chargers. That's Michael Busick. Where's Mike?

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Here you go?

Speaker 5 (33:02):
Man?

Speaker 2 (33:02):
Congratulations.

Speaker 3 (33:03):
You get two fifty to simply Seattle dot Com and
a pair of Mariners tickets all right? Number one thousand
dollars to Delta Airlines. Who's going to Hawaii?

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Hugh? What do you got? Okay?

Speaker 5 (33:17):
The way I look at this, I say, okay, is
where's the need here for this particular team. You got
a young quarterback who you've just paid you believe he's
your franchise. You've got some fair to midland receivers, but
they are conspicuously outside receivers.

Speaker 2 (33:35):
They are outside receivers. And you're sitting there and you
you believe your's in many ways. You got the offensive line,
you got the young quarterback.

Speaker 5 (33:43):
In fact, you're the youngest team in football, and yet
you have a glaring need.

Speaker 6 (33:47):
You tried you you tried trades, You tried to fill
this need, and that need is totally filled to you
by a guy that has a high IQ, is a
record set at a premier school, and he plays in
the slot and he has he has gives you all

(34:07):
the character.

Speaker 5 (34:08):
You could ever want, big time position in need, not
just need as in receiver, need, as in slot receiver.

Speaker 2 (34:15):
Man.

Speaker 5 (34:15):
You've got a good team with a quarterback in Jordan Love,
and you've got an offensive.

Speaker 2 (34:19):
Lineman all under the age of thirty.

Speaker 5 (34:21):
You needed a smart slot receiver with sulky, smooth JSN
type of skills, and a Mecca Abuka presents that to you.
You're the packers. You can't wait to get that pick.
And and to me, that's a top three pack and
that's a number one.

Speaker 2 (34:37):
There you go.

Speaker 3 (34:38):
That's Marcus Boyd right there, who takes home a thousand
dollars to dealt the airlines with the selection of a
Mecca Agbuca.

Speaker 2 (34:46):
Recapping everything, here we go.

Speaker 3 (34:49):
Cam Ward goes number one, Travis Hunter, Abdel Carter two
and three Ashton Jenny to the Patriots at four. How
about that Mason Graham and the Jaguars at five, Tyler
Warren tight end picked that.

Speaker 2 (35:00):
Hugh Hated by the way, went to the Raiders.

Speaker 3 (35:02):
At number six, Armand Membo offensive tackle Missouri to the Jets.
Panthers took Jalen Walker edge Georgia. Saints took Mickel Williams
edge Georgia. Also at number nine, Colston Lovelin tight end
Michigan went to the Bears.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
At number ten, Shamar Stewart ed rusher A and M
went to the Niners.

Speaker 3 (35:18):
At eleven, Calvin Banks junior offensive tackle Texas to Dallas,
Will Campbell offensive tackle to Miami. Colts took Jihat Campbell
ed rusher Bamm At fourteen, Falcons gave Michael Pennis a
wide receiver in Matthew Golden from Texas. At fifteen, Cardinals
took receiver Teed McMillan, Bengals took corner Will Johnson. Seahawks
went Gray Zabel guard North Dakota State. Buccaneers took Jordan

(35:41):
Birch edge rusher from Oregon. Broncos took Amaro Hampton running
back from Carolina. Steelers took Shaanor Sanders. Chargers took Kenny
Grant from Michigan and the Packers right there at Mecca
at Buca from Ohio State. Vikings follow that up with
Jadai Brown corner or Baron excuse me corner from Texas.
Walter Nolan tackle defensive tackle went to the Texans.

Speaker 2 (36:01):
At twenty five. Mason Taylor went to the Rams tight
end from LSU.

Speaker 3 (36:05):
Ravens took Malachi start safety, Lions took Mike Green ed
rusher from Marshall. Commanders took Nick emm and Warri safety
from South Carolina. Bills took James Pierce ed rusher Tennessee
Chiefs took Donovan Jackson offensive line Ohio State, and boom,
the Eagles wrap it up by taking Shavonravel cornerback from
East Carolina.

Speaker 2 (36:25):
Thank you so much to everybody who tuned in.

Speaker 3 (36:27):
Andrews, good job back in the studio, Jackson and Dick,
great job here, Queen and beer Hell Delta Taco time.
Simply Seattle are in our foundation. Saunders FC weekly is next,
