dot com. There, I've done my duty for the day.
Nobody's gonna yell at me. Mike Florio, by the way,
he's gonna join us in a matter of minutes. How
about this Rayshon Jenkins news man. By god, I thought
that's what you were gonna go with to start the
radio show. That's a blow. First Julian Love is banged up,
and now Rayeon Jenkins. So let's talk about all the
players on the Seahawk defense that have been banged up.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
So far.

Speaker 4 (00:43):
We can talk about more than haven't been banged up
than have been banged.

Speaker 2 (00:46):
Up Byron Murphy, Boye, Mafe, Leonard Williams, Julian Love, Rayshawn Jenkins,
uh Chennon a Woshaker Baker, has Dotson been hurt?

Speaker 4 (00:56):
I don't think so okay, I mean it's like six,
Like are you kidding me? Like, what did we do?
Oleonnard Williams was out for one? Is this one?

Speaker 2 (01:03):
Is this like payback for firing Pete Carroll? Did Pete
Carroll grab like a Brady Bunch voodoo doll?

Speaker 4 (01:09):
And stick?

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Does he have like a Jody Allen voodoo doll? He's
sticking pins in it?

Speaker 4 (01:13):
That hell's going on to?

Speaker 5 (01:14):
Why the question like how good is the Seahawks defense
really because when they were together, yes, they were playing
bad quarterbacks, but.

Speaker 4 (01:22):
They looked awesome, that's right.

Speaker 5 (01:24):
And then at the same time they started playing better offenses,
they got a third to a half of their defense
ripped away from him.

Speaker 4 (01:31):
So you really don't know if they're any good.

Speaker 2 (01:33):
Well, we'll talk to Florio about that when he comes
on in a few minutes from now, because I think
I if I know Mike, he's gonna bust our balls
about busting his balls about his power rankings. Right when
we were getting on him for having the Seahawks too low,
to which I would just say, look, when those power
rankings came out, they were incorrect. If you put the
Seahawks in the bottom third now maybe it would be correct.

Speaker 5 (01:54):
No, he's got them right now. Three, he's got them
like sixteen? Are they They're sixteen. They're higher now than
they weren't the beginning season. That's how I'm not gonna
say stupid respectful. Why I'll say it just helping ludicrous.
The original projection the Seahawks was that he actually has
him higher now after going three and three than he
did at the beginning of the year.

Speaker 6 (02:15):
More less ludicrous than John Wilner's Husky's not going to
a boo game close. Oh god, I have to think
of I got texts from people about.

Speaker 2 (02:24):
The how many tweets and emails I get when stuff
like that.

Speaker 4 (02:29):
Goodness, you guys are slow on topics.

Speaker 2 (02:31):
Today it has spent a twenty minute segment bitching about
the difference between.

Speaker 4 (02:35):
Six and say is not my fault. I did not
bring that up. It's totally your fault. What do you
mean you didn't bring it up? You brought the topic
up yesterday. The game is social media.

Speaker 2 (02:49):
You can't just expect that you're gonna put something like
that out there and not have us talk about it.

Speaker 4 (02:54):
How's wrong with you?

Speaker 5 (02:55):
You didn't need to talk about the twenty you back
when you had black hair. But I'll say trying, but
to tell you what I thought that was a highly
entertaining sector.

Speaker 6 (03:03):
Once had black hair, Yes he did, ye, Yes, it
was always been white.

Speaker 4 (03:07):
No, no, no.

Speaker 5 (03:08):
Since I was about thirty five, it's been white. It's
funny most people that end up working with me look
like that. Ooh okay, because it's not just you. Sam
Meyerlan was like, though, Seth Effett looks like that.

Speaker 4 (03:18):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (03:19):
Everybody that I know that I've worked with, and I've
spent significant it's like the president of the United States.
Everybody who works with me ends up having gray hair. Now,
is that running your family or because Joe doesn't have
gray hair? I actually gray hair than your dad. Your
dad's like one hundred and ten.

Speaker 4 (03:34):
I noticed that today. I was with my dad today.

Speaker 5 (03:36):
He's ninety two years old, and I was I was
helping him walk outside. He's walking with a walker, and
I'm standing by him.

Speaker 7 (03:41):
I was.

Speaker 5 (03:41):
I was standing behind him, and I go, my god,
he's got more black hair in the.

Speaker 4 (03:45):
Back of his head than I do. He's ninety two.
He might be dying his hair.

Speaker 7 (03:49):
Man.

Speaker 2 (03:50):
He wants to look good for the chicks man, What
the hell? I thought it was my wife's fault, but
it's actually your fault.

Speaker 4 (03:55):
Could be could be my fault. Let's get the Mike Florio.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
Pro Football Talk dot Com, NFL and NBA Seed joining
us right now.

Speaker 1 (04:02):

Speaker 4 (04:23):
Here's Softy and Dick.

Speaker 2 (04:24):
All right, boys and girls, and be sure when you
get to simply Seattle dot com. Always, and I mean always,
use code KJR fifteen for fifteen percent off anything at
simply Seattle dot com. Here he is the king, the
undisputed heavyweight champion of all NFL media. Baby, our friend,
Michael Florio, how are you pale? What's upfle Not much butthole?

(04:46):
Thank you for doing this. I appreciate it. Good to
have you on again every week. Let's start off by
getting your thoughts on the showdown between our buddies in Dallas,
including R. J. Chappie, who I've known forever, who would
join us on the radio show tonight, and Jerry Jones
and what went on on Dallas radio the other day.

Speaker 4 (05:04):
Go ahead.

Speaker 7 (05:06):
Well, it was so bizarre because he doesn't employ them,
and for some reason, the way that he was articulating
his position both during and after, it's kind of like
he thinks he does. And it speaks to the attitude
that the NFL has with its broadcast partners and every
other business. The customer is always right with the NFL,

(05:26):
because the inventory is so strictly limited, the seller is
always right because if you don't like what we say,
if you won't do what we want, we're just going
to sell our stuff to someone else. And for that reason,
you have a lot of tiptoeing around the NFL by
the broadcast partners. And I don't want to make the

(05:48):
NFL mad. The NFL really isn't all that concerned about
upsetting the broadcast partners, and Jerry Jones decided to flex
the muscle because he didn't like the questions he was
getting about of the team and specifically of him to
make the team better in the offseason, to address the
flaws that they clearly had based upon how they got

(06:09):
blown off the field by the Green Bay Packers in
the wildcard round. And it's surprising because he's been doing
it for like fifteen years. He always answers the questions,
he never gets upset, and I just feel like at
some level he's starting to figure out that the fans
are figuring him out. And I really do believe it's
a griff that he isn't as concerned about winning a

(06:31):
super Bowl as he says. Then when he says, you'd
be surprised by the size of the check, g'd right
to guarantee a super Bowl, We'd be surprised because it's
so small. I think he's very cheap. I think he's
very shortsighted when it comes to doing contracts with these
key players. And I don't think the Cowboys are as
smart as they think they are when it comes to
putting a team together. And it's been laid there, and

(06:52):
because he really is back into a corner, he can't
talk his way out of it. And I think he's
concerned about his fans becoming the worst thing that any
fans can ever be of any sport and that's apathetic, Mike.

Speaker 5 (07:03):
Do you think Mike McCarthy's going to be let go
during the season? And looking forward, do you think that
by the beginning of next season, Dan Quinn in his
second year is going to be the dean of NFC
East head coaches.

Speaker 7 (07:15):
Well, the biggest news that came out of the interview
with Jones yesterday but before the squabble with the hosts,
was him saying he's not going to be firing Mike
McCarthy during the season. Now. He probably made similar comments
about Wade Phillips in twenty ten, right before he fired him.
Because my position has always been the Jerry Jones supports

(07:35):
you completely and totally and unconditionally until the moment he
no longer does. So there's always a chance he wakes
up one day and he says see you later to
Mike McCarthy, despite what he said in the past. But
he doesn't like to pay people to not work for him.
There isn't really a clear and obvious interim coaching candidate.
Back when Phillips was fired, it was also time to

(07:56):
elevate Jason Garrett into the job. He's been groomed for
so I don't think that Macarthy gets fired during the season.
I don't think he'll be back next year. And yeah,
with Nick Sirianni acting like a drunken frat boy on
the sideline and not being able to control himself and
getting into arguments with fans, he's going to be in
trouble too, unless they win enough games to get mister

(08:17):
loriie as Sirianni wisely referred to him multiple times on Monday,
to keep Sirianni around. I think Lourie thought about it
seriously after the playoff embarrassment and the disintegration of the
Eagles late last year. If they have another season where
they struggle down the stretch, lose in the wild part round,

(08:38):
if they even make the playoffs, I think that that
you could have all three teams in the NFC East
looking for a new quarterback or coach has excused me,
not quarterbacks, but coaches. And you also could have the
Giants deciding to make that move, because hey, if we're
looking at Bill Belichick coaching either the Eagles to the Cowboys,
we better just go hire ourselves.

Speaker 2 (08:59):
My god, how about the Devonte Adams deal. Raiders send
him to the Jets after apparently that lost to Buffalo
on Monday night. Jets giving up a conditional third round pick.
Would you make of that trade in the compensation?

Speaker 7 (09:15):
Yeah, it's a third that can become a second if
he's the first team or second team All Pro, if
he's on the active roster for the conference championship or
the Super Bowl, which means it's probably going to be
a three. It's a desperation moved by the Jets, and
one of the reasons the Raiders dug in and they
were floating the goofy idea over the weekend that they
might not trade Davonte Adams at all is if that

(09:36):
was going to happen, they were going to take the
best offer they needed to get him off the roster.
They're paying them nine hundred and eighty three thousand per
week to not play for them. The Jets, I think
got to the point, and this is Winny Johnson trying
to justify the decision to fire Roberts. Saul, Let's just
get this done. Let's do what we have to do
to be as good as we can be. So it
looks like I made the right decision and the Raiders

(09:57):
needed someone who would be sufficiently desperate, because this is
an eleven game rental of Devonte Adams for a third
round pick. His contract for next year has a thirty
five point six to four million dollar salary that's getting
ripped up. Now. Maybe they used the exclusive window to
negotiate a deal with him so he sticks around. But
if Rodgers didn't coming back next year, why would Davonte
Adams come back next year? So it may just be

(10:20):
eleven games for a third round pick, And a third
round pick is someone who can turn into a key
member of your organization, a core member of your foundation
as you move forward. So that's a lot to give
up for an eleven game rental on a thirty year
old receiver who maybe is playing at a B plus level.
And I asked the GM about that when this all
came up, because he's still an A lister in the

(10:41):
GM said, he's a B plus.

Speaker 4 (10:42):
Lister, Mike.

Speaker 5 (10:43):
The Lions just hammered the Cowboys, but in that game
it almost looked like they were trying to clown with
them a little bit. They had numerous plays when they
tried to get offensive lineman touchdowns. They even lined up
an offensive lineman out as a wide receiver. What do
you think was Dan Campbell trying to put the screw
Mike McCarthy.

Speaker 7 (11:01):
Yeah, absolutely. And you look at that and say, hey,
if you've got those plays in your bag, why are
you showing them in a blowout win. The only strategic
reason for doing it is to put everyone else on
notice that you've got all sorts of stuff. So maybe
the defenses are on their heels when they're facing the

(11:21):
non trick play packages. But it did feel a little vindictive.
It felt like Robin Salt and the Wound, you know,
and it was. It was a moment where it became
clear to anyone paying attention the Lions are the class
of the NFC right now. I could see the forty
nine ers giving them a hard time in a single
elimination setting. We'll see if the Vikings can can slow

(11:44):
them down this weekend when the Lions and Minnesota play
in Minneapolis. But the Lions look pretty damn good right now,
even without Aiden Hutchinson, they look pretty damn good.

Speaker 2 (11:54):
Mike, how good is this Falcon football team that the
Seahawks will see on Sunday in Atlanta?

Speaker 7 (12:00):
Well, they could be six and oh they could be
zero and six, or they could be anything in between,
and it turns out there four and two, and it's
kind of like flip a coin and let's see how
it lands. Really, every except for the Panthers game. The
Panthers game is the only convincing victory. So let's say
they could be anywhere from five to one to one
in five and five or six and oh and one
in five. So they they've they've won some games that

(12:22):
maybe they should have lost. They've lost a couple of
games that maybe they should have won. And the key
is getting Kirk Cousins more comfortable with his surgically repaired
achilles tendon. I didn't watch much of the Panthers game,
but the Thursday night game against the Bucks. He still
wasn't stepping into those throws. He wasn't pushing off the
back foot the way that he used to. He still

(12:43):
don't have one hundred percent confidence in that. And you know,
as he gets that, they'll get better and better. But
they're getting the most out of an offense that has
had some pieces that were highly drafted that really didn't
have a return on the investment. They're getting better and
better as they go, and yeah, the Seahawks need a
They need to win three and oh to three and three.
Remember when you were calling me an idiot for not

(13:04):
having the Seahawks at number one in the power rankings
when they were three and zero.

Speaker 4 (13:07):
Uh no, never never would say that about you ever. Ever.

Speaker 2 (13:11):
No, And at that point in time, they deserve to
be ranked higher. Now they don't.

Speaker 7 (13:15):
They hadn't really beaten anyone. They get o Nicks in
his first game. Let's not relitigate it. But the bottom
line is they are what they are and right now
it's three and three, and you're right, they need to
win badly.

Speaker 5 (13:25):
Mike in Cleveland, do you think ownership is forcing Kevin
Stefanski to play Deshan Watson.

Speaker 7 (13:30):
Yeah. I think this is one of those situations where
if you know what's good for you, you to do
what ownership wants, and that is to try desperately to
justify the ridiculous contract that Deshaun Watson was given the
worst trade and sign in the salary cap era when
you consider what was given up three first round picks,
three other draft picks, two hundred and thirty million full
of guaranteed on a five year deal. And you know

(13:52):
I was considering this week, is there an argument to
be made that the Browns are just sticking with Watters
as part of a low key tank. I mean, this
is a team that back in twenty seventeen, when Hugh
Jackson was there, they had a five year plan that
legitimized tanking. They had factors that were reduced to writing

(14:14):
along the lines of you get bonuses for the amount
of cap space that's carried over, you get bonuses for
the number of draft picks that you stock pile. They
weren't prioritizing winning now. They were indirectly prioritizing losing now
so you could have more assets later. And I feel
like that's where they are. And look, they traded Amari Cooper.
They admitted they've got a fork in them at one

(14:37):
in five. They're not going to turn this around. So
you know, you're not admitting failure with the Sean Watson
contract by keeping him out there, But you're also kind
of naturally sinking to the bottom of the standing and
the top of the draft order. And those draft picks
become critical now because you're stuck with Watson for another
ninety two million over the next two years. Prey players

(14:59):
get more draft fit, get the best possible draft position.
That's going to be the way you rebuilt this thing,
because there's no way out of this Washington. The only
way out of the Wahton deal if the league suspends
him for that losses that was filed the day after
the regular season opener. He settled it, though, and as
a confidentiality agreement, the alleged victim won't be talking to

(15:20):
the league. I don't know how they even suspend him
for that, but that's the only chance to be suspended
for that, and he didn't. If he didn't provide notice
to the Browns in writing when he did his contract
that it was a possible claim that he could be facing.
That's the only way they can rip up the ninety
two million to move on.

Speaker 2 (15:37):
All right, thirty seconds left, Russell Wilson. If you go
to PFT Pro Football Talk dot com, you'll see he
is not on the injury report.

Speaker 4 (15:44):
Welcome to my happy.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Set to start against the Jets on Sunday. Is this
now his job to lose the rest of the year?

Speaker 4 (15:50):
You think, mister on, it is? Hang on, hang on,
hang on, hang on, hang on, mister un limited.

Speaker 7 (15:57):
There you go, all right, all right, I held the
eye a little bit longer. It sounds better that way anyway. Yeah, look,
well Justin Fields hasn't been spectacled them. They're four and two,
but I don't think anyone's going to say they're four
and two because of Justin Fields. I mean, how they
should have beaten the Cowboys. It was a Steelers classic

(16:20):
game on that Sunday night when they were out gamed
roughly two to one. But they score more points than
the opponent does. The Steelers should have won that game,
and Fields didn't carry them to a winning that game.
I don't think that this is a slapping s Field fake.
And this is why you never take the QB one
label off of Russell Wilson. Mike Tomin played this perfectly.

(16:40):
He's QB one, he's healthy, he's ready to go. I
thought they should have played this past weekend against the Raiders.
I thought that was a better first game back for
him than being thrust into primetime Sunday night football against
Aaron Rodgers and company, and then another primetime game against
the Giants at home right after that eight days later.
He's got Sunday night and Monday night. But this is

(17:01):
it and it's two games going into their boy, Let's
see what he does going into their buy. If he
looks like the Russell Wilson of old, then they have
a guy that can help them down a rough stretch
in the post by schedule where they've got the Commanders
to chief, the Eagles and all three teams in the
AFC North twice each. Even though the Browns aren't looking
as good as we thought they were going to be,

(17:22):
it's still a division battle. These are going to be
nine tough games, and Russell Wilson can can really cement
his grip on two B one if he can lead
the Steelers to two wins and get into six and
two going into the by.

Speaker 2 (17:34):
Mike Floria, you're the man, great stuff. We're talking a week.
Thank you, PALP right, Mike Florio with us. We've got
to break. Petro Spapanacus is going to join us, coming
up at four o'clock this afternoon, right here on ninety
three to three KJRFM.

Speaker 8 (17:47):
Love from the R and R Foundation Specialists Broadcast Studio.
Now back to Softie and Dick gn You're home for
the Huskies and the Kreken Sports Radio ninety three point
three KJR Film.

Speaker 2 (18:01):
You know, one of the silver linings if you want
to call it that.

Speaker 4 (18:05):
I don't know really if it's silver lining at all.

Speaker 2 (18:07):
But the five Super Bowl is that whenever Pittsburgh fans
talk about that, they have to deal with people like
us say they cheated, right, referees all that. There's a
little bit of that going on with Oregon right now.
Absolutely in the Ohio State camp, which is awesome. It's
just fabulous, like because we can just just call them
outright cheaters and they just got all pissed off, right Like,

(18:28):
maybe Dan it was Dan Lanning's biggest.

Speaker 4 (18:30):
Win, right without that, he does he have another good one?

Speaker 2 (18:34):
No, I mean you saw the relief on his face
on Saturday.

Speaker 4 (18:38):
Holy cow.

Speaker 2 (18:39):
But my my buddy Jeff Schwartz and some other Oregon
fans are all over Twitter defending it and what happens.
I just say, keep it up, just keep it up,
keep reminding him they got away with one. They changed
the rule today with the twelve men, And honestly, don't
tell them I said this, but I don't blame them
for doing what they did during the game Saturday. If
it's legal and it's a then go for it, right.

(19:02):
I don't blame them at all, But this is now,
and now that you're in the Big ten, there's more
eyeballs on you. Right, it's now a program that is
starting to get a little bit of your reputation across
the country. Like we all knew what Russell Wilson was
all about, yes, but it took going to Denver and
now going to Pittsburgh for the entire country to see
what he was all about. Now that Oregon is out

(19:23):
of the protection of the bosom of the Pac twelve
and now they're in the Big ten, exposed to Ohio State, Yeah,
Michigan and Nebraska and all these up Penn State, they're
all thinking, weren't you the same guys that were faking.

Speaker 4 (19:37):
Injuries back in the Pack twelve? So I love it.
Keep it up.

Speaker 5 (19:40):
Well, anytime you have one fan base sing one thing
and the rest of the world saying the other, then
you know, it's like the fail Mary with the Seahawks.

Speaker 4 (19:49):
All right, It's like the entire world was like.

Speaker 5 (19:52):
Listen, that was a golden State, Golden Golden State, Golden
Tate didn't catch the ball, that's right, and the Seaws,
well yeah I did, and no, didn't catch the ball.

Speaker 4 (20:01):
It was picked off.

Speaker 5 (20:02):
So when the usually when it's the world versus one entity,
usually the world is probably more active.

Speaker 4 (20:08):
Yes, the the world will eventually.

Speaker 2 (20:11):
Win over right, and they will know who where, they
know the truth of the matter. So I think it's
just great that And look, I mean I would if
I have Oregon.

Speaker 4 (20:20):
I was like, what do I care?

Speaker 8 (20:21):
Right?

Speaker 2 (20:21):
Fine, I won the game, I'm number two in the country.
It was a great win for us. What do I
give a damn? But I think it just kind of
just eats on them a little bit that there's people
out there busting their chops for what happened on Saturday. Hey,
I just threw this out on Twitter, and I'm curious
to get your thoughts before we get the factor fiction
here in a matter of second, so we can take
some text on this as well.

Speaker 4 (20:40):
Jackson's working hard in this part right now. That's a problem.
That's a problem that I really like, So I will
help you.

Speaker 2 (20:50):
It's like when you play two quarterbacks, Yeah, because you
don't have one, right.

Speaker 4 (20:54):
The Steelers have to say, then what I have? If
I have two loves, then Steelers.

Speaker 5 (21:03):
You have Justin Fields and Russell Wilson right now, and
you're trying to decide between which mediocre at all.

Speaker 6 (21:09):
It's funny is that Dixon love both of my options.

Speaker 2 (21:13):
Well, the question was, you saw this report that Jerry
Ryan's doorf owns the White Sox and Bulls, and I
had no idea.

Speaker 4 (21:18):
Is eighty eight years old.

Speaker 2 (21:20):
He's considering apparently selling the White Sox, right to which
all of us said, well, can we get that here?
Can that happen here? And he still owns the Bulls,
but he's gonna maybe get rid of the White Sox.
Apparently there's a group led by Dave Stewart, I guess,
the former pitcher.

Speaker 4 (21:34):
Who, by the way, sounds like this. He does all right.

Speaker 5 (21:37):
He doesn't sound at all like he was the meanest
looking pitcher ever, and he sounds like that.

Speaker 2 (21:42):
It's like Tommy Smith. You ever see Tommy Smith safety
for the Huskies. Unbelievable. But it brought me to ask
on Twitter, what's the one thing in this town sports
wise that you want to see happen? And I'm not
including the Sonics, because I think it's already happening, by
the way, and I said number one by far as
new ownership for the baseball team, that's number one.

Speaker 4 (22:02):
By far for me. How about for you guys?

Speaker 5 (22:05):
I want I want a generational quarterback. Wow, okay, I
want Jayden Daniel the next not a.

Speaker 2 (22:14):
National championship for the football team, not a Final four
for Danny. Talking one thing, you canna have one thing,
I can have anything, yes, and don't say.

Speaker 4 (22:24):
A Sounders went over Portland.

Speaker 2 (22:26):
Okay, So maybe the generational quarterback can get you multiple titles.

Speaker 5 (22:32):
Okay, fine, if that's what you want. Gave important position
in sports. I want to be locked up for the
next decade.

Speaker 2 (22:38):
I'm gonna give you a magic pill, all right. You
can take the magic red one and the magic pill
all right. What's the one that you put up your
butt when you were a kid, whatever, that is a
suppository buster.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
I'm gonna give you a magic pill.

Speaker 2 (22:52):
I'm gonna stick it up your butt, all right, and
after that, whatever wish you want is granted, all right,
softy suppos it's a tory.

Speaker 5 (23:02):
Yeah, because I think I'd rather have I think I'd
rather have that than than new ownership, because hey, you
have no idea if the new ownership is going to
be any good or not, and there's no guarantees with
the new ownership that they're going to be good, whereas
at least if you have a generational quarterback, yes, we're
at least going to the playoffs every year.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Well, let's talk about this coming up in the four
to thirty Jackson, you think about it too, All right,
let's get the factor of fiction right now?

Speaker 4 (23:25):
What's that to go? Glad you're with us?

Speaker 8 (23:27):
It's your shot at our weekly thousand bucks and the ten.

Speaker 4 (23:31):
Thousand dollars grand prize.

Speaker 8 (23:33):
It's fact or Fiction, brought to you by the Emerald
Queen Casino, the betting capital of the Northwest. Make the
beautiful new WEQUC sportsbook your home all football season long.
Fact or Fiction is on Sports Radio ninety three point
three KJR FM.

Speaker 4 (23:51):
I Jackson did not make.

Speaker 2 (23:52):
A selection last week because he was, as my wife
likes to use this word a lot, gallivanting around San
Francisco with his wife.

Speaker 4 (23:58):
You're just gallant van ting around town with gallavanting around
town with your buddies. Really do to make your pick, Jackson.

Speaker 2 (24:11):
Jackson has not won a game since Week three, when
he took San Jose State and the Cougars.

Speaker 4 (24:18):
So what points? He's two and three on the air.

Speaker 2 (24:21):
You lost on the Hawks and Giants, and you lost
on Fresno State and ULV got buried in that game
as a matter of fact, So it's time for a
little redemption here Pale, all right.

Speaker 6 (24:30):
So over the last couple of days, I don't know
if it's on the air off the air, but the
three of us have talked about how there's a lot
of teams who were on streaks one way or another.
And then Dick, you always, I mean, when you've been
winning sixty percent of games over the last few years,
you love home dogs. So I got a team who
has lost four straight games. I got a team who
is a home dog. I got a team who's facing

(24:52):
a team who's coming off of a game where I
think they showed that they're not as good as their
previous outings in the Denver Broncos. Give me the New
Orleans Saints against the Broncos tomorrow at the Superdome where
they're getting two and a half, and I refer, I
don't think Spencer Rattler looked that bad. His stats are
very skewed from a fourth quarter where they had to

(25:13):
throw the ball pretty much every single play and the
Buccaneers just started to get them. But I don't think
the Saints are bad you. Meanwhile, I think the Broncos
are not good by the way. Patrick's certain by far.
I think their best player on the entire roster. He
is out tomorrow night. This game will be over on
nine to fifty am, and I am picking the Saints

(25:34):
at home plus two and a half.

Speaker 4 (25:36):
I like it because it's in New Orleans. Yep.

Speaker 2 (25:38):
If it was in Denver, I wouldn't take Oh yeah,
neither would I. Yeah, I'm good with it.

Speaker 4 (25:42):
It's on my list.

Speaker 5 (25:43):
Not that you're going to change your mind, no surprise,
it's on my list, Jackson. It's on my Factor fiction list,
and you beat me to it. I like that they're
getting the Saints are getting starting defensive end Carl Granderson
back in that game. They are also getting their sener
Lucas Patrick back as well, so they're getting a little
bit healthier, a little bit of question on their wide

(26:03):
receiver corp. We're not sure about a lobby and Shaheed,
so I might I'm you know, I was going to
say what what I else? I like about that game,
but I might save it for tomorrow.

Speaker 4 (26:12):
How about this.

Speaker 2 (26:13):
There's another factoid for you since becoming the Saints head
coach Dennis Allen is seven and one against the spread
as a home dog coming off a lot.

Speaker 4 (26:22):
I love that?

Speaker 5 (26:22):
Is that?

Speaker 7 (26:22):
Right?

Speaker 2 (26:24):
Come on now, just get the job. I hate the
whole thing up all right? So Jackson likes what's the
number again? You says two and a half? Saints are
getting two and a half. They're getting two and a
half one and a half. You're getting more value now
than against Botex and the Denver Broncos. We like the
Saints here, you agree? Fact you hate it?

Speaker 4 (26:45):
Fiction?

Speaker 2 (26:46):
The four nine, four five one oh, brought to you
by the Emerald Queen Casino. You got one pick right
a week on any show, including ours, and you'll be
eligible for the weekly prize or one thousand bucks brought
to you by the EQUC. So just come back here
every day three thirty five for the selection and then
text and Actor Fiction to play fun with Audio and
then Petros at four next on ninety three three kJ RFM.

Speaker 4 (27:07):
It's now time for Softy in Dick's Fun with Audio.

Speaker 3 (27:11):
Jimmy g Pawt Star Jimmy mister Garoppolo.

Speaker 4 (27:14):
Now let's have some fun with audio. Hey, by the way,
never mind, we'll do that later.

Speaker 2 (27:21):
Let's sit on that for a while. Hey me tomorrow,
here we go the Fun with Audio slash. Hey did
you hear that? Hey Dick, did you happen to hear that?

Speaker 6 (27:30):
Was that?

Speaker 5 (27:30):
It?

Speaker 4 (27:30):
What's that?

Speaker 8 (27:30):
Dick?

Speaker 4 (27:31):
Let's start in the NFL.

Speaker 2 (27:33):
Yesterday on Fun with Audio, we heard Cowboys owner Jerry
Jones threatening the jobs of Dallas radio host Sean Sheriff
and our friend the count on two three r J
Choppy Well during his weekly interview on the Fan Today
or yesterday? Sorry, esp and Shannon Sharp reacting to Jerry's
comments on the First Take show.

Speaker 9 (27:55):
Put a man in fear for his job. I hate
I did test someone that would pray on the week.
And because Jerry Jones is an advantageous situation, because he
has the power in this situation, he would actually say
that publicly that less you me.

Speaker 4 (28:11):
That tells me a lot about a man.

Speaker 9 (28:13):
That'll tell me a lot about a man that has
power and would abuse that power.

Speaker 4 (28:18):
To tell that man.

Speaker 9 (28:19):
I will get somebody in the here to ask me
favorable questions. That is absolutely that guy's job is to
ask See, Jerry won't all the credit when things go well,
but none of the blame He told us how many
times the bucks stop with me. Now you getting trounced,
you getting run through like Sherman went through Atlanta during

(28:40):
the Civil War, and now you want no part of
it when they ask you about it. If the Cowboys
don't win another playoff game or another game, as long
as Jerry Jones the owner, I'll be the happiest man
in the world for that man to put that man
in fear for his job. Now, you know, moving forward
Saturday's waggo Stephen. They you know he's not gonna ask
him anything tough because that man needs that job. If

(29:02):
for Jerry to say this publicly, he said, I'm not laughing,
I'm not joking.

Speaker 4 (29:07):
I'm out. I'm out. I'm out. I'm out.

Speaker 2 (29:10):
By the way, the idea of our Jay and Sean
no longer asking Jerry hard questions because they need their jobs.

Speaker 4 (29:16):
That will not happen, that will not go down that
way whatsoever.

Speaker 2 (29:20):
Okay, because they are hammering him on Twitter even harder
today than they did yesterday.

Speaker 4 (29:25):
I understand that how upset Shannon is.

Speaker 5 (29:28):
I get the premise, but I really don't think Jerry
has any control over whether that guy has a job.

Speaker 2 (29:34):
Well, see here's what I think, and I'm kind of
shocked it's actually taken this long. I don't think Jerry
Jones meant I'm paying you guys and hiring you guys directly.
I think what he meant is, hey, we have a
partnership here. You have the broadcast, right, so the Dallas
Cowboys in your radio station. I have enough influence to

(29:55):
get somebody else to get somebody else to.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
Do this segment. Yes, that's what he meant by that thing. Yes.

Speaker 2 (30:00):
Does he have the authority to fire RJ and Shawn, No,
he does not whatsoever. But go to RJ's Twitter account
at RJ Choppy, go to Sean Sheriff's Twitter account, and
there's a story here when he told Diana Ruscini yesterday
that he's paying these guys, which again he's not. RJ wrote,
if you're paying us, then you owe us some interest
in Pale said on Twitter, all right, hey, Dick, did

(30:25):
you happen to hear that?

Speaker 4 (30:28):
What's I can't find my stupid drop here it is?
What's that? Dick?

Speaker 2 (30:31):
Colorado's Travis Hunter joining RG three's podcast this week and
explain why he thinks he can win the Heisman Trophy
over Boise State running back Ashton Genty.

Speaker 4 (30:41):
I definitely think you can win.

Speaker 3 (30:43):
I know I can win it. But Robert, I don't know.
I don't know. I don't know who's there. I mean,
y'all see asking the jen gent. But it's not like
we haven't seen a running back that's good, all right,
we haven't seen a player that plays both ways. And
I'm gonna keep saying that. It's like he have ninety
I think ninety five carries, Yeah, for a thousand yards.
If I had ninety five kits, and how many yards

(31:03):
you think I have? Okay, So I'm trying to tell him,
like that, ninety five targets on defense, what do you
think I'll have?

Speaker 4 (31:10):
Right that?

Speaker 3 (31:11):
Ninety five catches on offense? What'd you think I'll have?
So I try to tag you like I have. He
got double the touches I got on the offense side
of the ball, and I still have defensive stats. That's
still crazy and we only in Week six.

Speaker 2 (31:22):
Okay, that's not how this works. With wide receivers and
running back. I think they have more yards for catch
than a yard carry, always, always, always, and there's gonna
be receivers. Actually, this is how good Gent is. He's
averaging ten yards of carry nine point nine yards of carry.

Speaker 4 (31:38):
I just love how humble all those Colorado guys are.
I really do.

Speaker 2 (31:42):
It's incredible, and I think that's one of the reasons
why people are annoyed by them, because they are not
humble at all. I mean, what are you talking about, dude? Honestly,
if you had ninety five catches, yeah, you probably have
fourteen hundred yards receiving is what you'd have.

Speaker 4 (31:58):
Like, what are you talking about?

Speaker 2 (32:00):
Guy's averaging ten yards of carry and you're comparing yards
per carry to yards per catch?

Speaker 4 (32:05):
The hell you talking about? I mean asking genty.

Speaker 5 (32:08):
The question is what is more impressive being an excellent
corner than an excellent wide receiver or a historic running back?

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Right? That's the question, right?

Speaker 5 (32:19):
And now, so I could argue Hunter for sure, Yes,
some people may say being an excellent corner at the
same time you're an excellent wide receiver is more impressive
than being a Berry Sanders esque generational running back. I
would vote for Gent, but I could understand why people
some people would vote for Travis Hunter if he continues

(32:39):
to be just as dominant both sides of the ball.

Speaker 2 (32:41):
That's crazy. You ought to vote for Travis Hunter for
the Heisman Trophy. I mean, he'd be be on my
list for sure.

Speaker 5 (32:46):
I mean, I'm surprised that Gent's number one because he
goes to Boise State.

Speaker 4 (32:50):
A Boise State running back.

Speaker 5 (32:51):
I don't care his numbers were fifteen years ago, would
have never even sniffed the Heisman.

Speaker 2 (32:56):
I'm not surprised he's number one because of one simple reason.
There's no obvious quarterback out there right now for the
Heisman Trophy. Maybe Cam wore, but there really is no
obvious sec Big ten, Big twelve, Pac twelve back.

Speaker 4 (33:09):
In the day, right I thought Millroe was going to
be up there, Yes, and then they.

Speaker 2 (33:13):
Lost to vanderb lost and done. There's no obvious QB.
So no, I'm not surprised. Are you one more? What
than before? Hey Dick, did you happen to hear that?

Speaker 4 (33:21):
What's that?

Speaker 2 (33:21):
Oregon head coach Dan Lanning seemed to confirm during a
press conference yesterday?

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Is this yesterday or Monday?

Speaker 2 (33:28):
It was Monday that he intentionally got pedalized for twelve
men on the field and last weekend's win over Ohio State.

Speaker 10 (33:35):
Much of the commentary world has decided and struck you
as a genius stand for the twelve man penalty and
declared that it was intentional. Was it indeed intentional to
induce to throw one on one against the bar in
that spot?

Speaker 4 (33:47):
He wasn't one on one?

Speaker 11 (33:48):
We actually had a safety on top, so there was
a so it's called dog. Yeah, there was a time
out before that. We spend an order amount of time
on situations. There's some situations that don't show up very
often in college football, but this is one that obviously
it was something that we have worked on, so you
can see the result.

Speaker 2 (34:06):
Guys, say something real quick. This has nothing to do
with landing. It's kind of a pet peeve of mine
is when media people try to sound football savvy at prescotferences.

Speaker 4 (34:13):
Does that drive you nuts too? Dang?

Speaker 2 (34:15):
When you played that two man cloud coverage over there
with a safety over the.

Speaker 4 (34:19):
Top, Like, what are you talking?

Speaker 5 (34:20):
Emily says, no, that's not He got a couple of
those by the way we do.

Speaker 4 (34:25):
It drives me crazy.

Speaker 5 (34:26):
But I will say, prior to him trying to sound smart,
I thought it was great of him to try to
butter up Dan Lanning to try to get him to
answer the question where he said a genius, a genius
move to hopefully move Dan push him towards admitting that
he did that, he did it intentionally.

Speaker 2 (34:45):
The guy mad as well, you know, my son really
loves you, Dan, my wife thinks your hot.

Speaker 7 (34:49):
Dan.

Speaker 4 (34:50):
It's a great move. I mean it wasn't smart move
by him.

Speaker 2 (34:52):
Again, if they're not going to put the clock time
back on and the only thing, the biggest thing that
you're concerned about there is the clock, and you can
gain the advantage, win the play likely and just say.

Speaker 4 (35:05):
Okay, the price I'm paying.

Speaker 2 (35:06):
If you went to Dan Landing and said, hey, we're
gonna burn four seconds off the clock, but you give
us five yards, you say where do I sign?

Speaker 4 (35:12):
Right?

Speaker 2 (35:13):
And he may have won partly because of that, and
he just fourteen guys on the field. He could have
and it wouldn't have mattered. But now the inc double
A they changed the rule today. I talked to an
ex official who called me this morning and said, things
are moving at lightning speed now with all the media,
the gambling aspect of all this stuff. The NCUBLA used

(35:34):
to take months to do things like this, and now
we know it was never necessary ever to wait that long.

Speaker 4 (35:40):
They took three.

Speaker 2 (35:41):
Days to change the rule, Are you kidding me? All right,
